- 2:27Nora: Hi, I'm Nora.
- 2:28Charles: Hi, Nora.
- 2:29Charles: Hi.
- 2:29Charles: (laughing)
- 2:30Charles: We already did this.
- 2:31Charles: And on the ones and twos, we got Chris in the back.
- 2:34Charles: Chris.
- 2:34Chris: Howdy, everybody.
- 2:36Charles: Happy birthday.
- 2:38Chris: Yeah.
- 2:38Chris: Thank you.
- 2:40Chris: It was a lovely birthday and just happy
- 2:44Chris: to be here with y'all.
- 2:45Charles: I'm happy that you're here too.
- 2:47Chris: If there goes the music on a hard cut.
- 2:49Chris: Yeah.
- 2:51Charles: (laughing)
- 2:51Charles: Yeah, I love that hard cut.
- 2:53Charles: Yeah, you do.
- 2:55Charles: I don't know what that means.
- 2:56Charles: (laughing)
- 3:01Charles: Chris, tell me about your birthday.
- 3:02Charles: Yeah.
- 3:04Chris: Let's see here, my birthday, it was Monday.
- 3:07Chris: I'm 44 years old, and yeah, it was a pretty chill day.
- 3:14Chris: Went to the Loveland Chop House for dinner,
- 3:20Chris: which I have a photo of somewhere,
- 3:21Chris: but apparently didn't put it in the rundown.
- 3:25Chris: That's okay.
- 3:26Chris: Yeah, I went to the Chop House, got a lovely steak,
- 3:29Chris: and I had not been to the Loveland Chop House before,
- 3:31Chris: and it was absolutely divine.
- 3:35Chris: Beyond that, went to Banana Ball over the weekend,
- 3:41Chris: which I'm not gonna talk about much on this episode
- 3:44Chris: because next week Mandy will be with us
- 3:47Chris: and we'll be able to have our dual Banana Ball experience.
- 3:51Chris: But yeah, good weekend, good birthday,
- 3:53Chris: and now I'm here with good people.
- 3:56Chris: Well, happy 48th, dude.
- 3:59Chris: Happy 62nd birthday to me.
- 4:00Nora: I'm happy about your birthday.
- 4:01Nora: I'm mad about the banana ball.
- 4:03Nora: Still mad about that, but it's fine.
- 4:05Chris: If it sates you at all,
- 4:09Chris: there was a two hour rain delay.
- 4:12Nora: Oh, that is sad.
- 4:13Charles: Yeah, I heard about that on TikTok, actually.
- 4:17Nora: Do they have any fun things that they do
- 4:19Nora: during the rain delay?
- 4:20Nora: Because they're the bananas, they have to.
- 4:21Chris: Yeah, they did a lot of different activities
- 4:25Chris: during the rain delay, which we'll talk about next week.
- 4:28Chris: But one thing that we'll also talk about is,
- 4:32Chris: you know, they had two games in Denver,
- 4:34Chris: Friday night and Saturday night.
- 4:36Chris: And when you get picked for the ticket lottery,
- 4:38Chris: you get to choose which night you wanna go.
- 4:41Chris: We chose Friday because that seemed to be
- 4:43Chris: the easiest one for everyone.
- 4:45Chris: But two issues that might have made things different
- 4:49Chris: and made us make a different choice.
- 4:51Chris: One, two hour rain delay, which means we didn't get home
- 4:54Chris: until one o'clock in the morning,
- 4:56Chris: which for Mandy, it might as well be like two days later.
- 5:02Chris: She's not good with staying up late
- 5:04Chris: or sitting around twiddling your thumbs for hours.
- 5:07Chris: And second of all, on Saturday night,
- 5:10Chris: Kristen Bell was there.
- 5:12Charles: Yeah, I saw that on TikTok too.
- 5:14Charles: What the fuck?
- 5:15Charles: Yeah, she was singing from "Frozen," right?
- 5:17Charles: Yeah, exactly.
- 5:18Charles: Yeah. - That's cool.
- 5:19Charles: Yeah, and there was like a bunch of kids
- 5:21Charles: who were like, "I know this song."
- 5:23Nora: I know her voice! Who is this?
- 5:25Chris: Yeah, well one of the pitchers
- 5:27Chris: I want to say is that one of the pitchers for the Bananas is also a Broadway actor
- 5:32Chris: He is and had done that role from Wicked on Broadway
- 5:37Chris: And so yeah, Kristen was just running around saying that in the stands and Wicked did she sing?
- 5:43Chris: Well, she no, she's probably singing Frozen. Well, she was singing Frozen. But the yeah, the guy was in Wicked. Okay
- 5:53Nora: a lot they exploit his voice on the banana ball pitch so I'm familiar with that. I uh I have
- 6:00Nora: something that Charles can't keep his eyes off of over here. I'm looking at it right now we'll
- 6:04Charles: get back to your birthday because we have we have a birthday present for you. Okay we do. But yeah
- 6:10Nora: talk about your your. Okay so I grew a really giant tomato a really big one and I picked it
- 6:14Nora: off the plant and all of a sudden I go oh I need to show Charles and Chris this. What is this?
- 6:22Nora: That's the stem, it like broke off,
- 6:24Nora: but it's just a giant tomato.
- 6:27Charles: Is it one of, what do they call the beefy boys?
- 6:29Charles: A beefsteak. - Beefsteak?
- 6:31Nora: Yeah, it's a beefsteak tomato.
- 6:33Nora: It is literally like bigger than my hand, it's giant.
- 6:37Chris: Just in case you're looking at this and thinking,
- 6:39Chris: man, that looks a lot like my butthole,
- 6:41Chris: please go to the doctor.
- 6:43Nora: (laughing)
- 6:43Chris: Or just wipe.
- 6:45Nora: It shouldn't look like that, it really shouldn't.
- 6:47Chris: No tomato or butthole should look like that.
- 6:50Nora: So I'm really looking forward to eating this on a BLT.
- 6:55Nora: So, yeah.
- 6:56Chris: That's awesome, I'm so proud of you.
- 6:59Nora: I just wanted to show you guys that.
- 7:00Chris: It really looks like a bell pepper.
- 7:02Nora: Obscene tomato.
- 7:03Charles: Back to Chris's birthday.
- 7:06Charles: That's true.
- 7:06Chris: Yes, everything's about me.
- 7:08Chris: Come on, Nora.
- 7:08Chris: I'm sorry.
- 7:09Charles: Chris, I brought you 14 NoCo mugs.
- 7:14Chris: Yes, finally.
- 7:15Chris: The 14 I've been missing.
- 7:17Chris: Thank you, Charles.
- 7:18Nora: The ones that you sent to the thrift store.
- 7:20Charles: Yeah, no, no, that's not what we did.
- 7:23Charles: Last week, live on air, while we were doing this show,
- 7:27Charles: we were looking at Chris's least favorite
- 7:32Charles: weird little guy, Anthony Spry,
- 7:34Charles: who is the-- - Catchphrase guy.
- 7:38Nora: Catchphrase guy. - He's our guy.
- 7:40Nora: He's the Australian catchphrase guy
- 7:42Nora: who also uses a New York accent
- 7:45Nora: to do all of his catchphrases in.
- 7:47Nora: and it's Chris-tastic.
- 7:49Charles: Don't spoil it.
- 7:51Charles: God damn it.
- 7:51Charles: Don't spoil it.
- 7:52Charles: I hate this.
- 7:53Charles: But, but-
- 7:53Nora: I wasn't even spoiling it.
- 7:55Charles: Okay, however, we did a cameo from Anthony Spry,
- 8:01Charles: the catchphrase guy himself, For You Chris.
- 8:05Charles: Yep.
- 8:06Charles: So happy birthday, this is from your favorite little guy.
- 8:11Chris: Favorite is not the word I would use, but here it is.
- 8:14Chris: Technical difficulties.
- 8:15Video: Happy birthday Chris.
- 8:17Video: I'm the guy that makes all these popular catchphrases like who put the Pikachu in the stew?
- 8:20Video: Respect the biscuit.
- 8:22Video: Popular?
- 8:24Video: (laughs)
- 8:28Video: (claps)
- 8:28Video: Fuck off, okay.
- 8:31Video: I've fam
- 8:45Video: It's a Chris with a twist.
- 8:48Video: It's just a Chris glitch.
- 8:50Video: Chris with the Chris tricks.
- 8:52Video: And Chris is piss.
- 8:54Video: Chris with the Chris tricks.
- 8:56Video: It's a Chris-tastrophe.
- 8:58Video: Keep it crispy, Chrissy.
- 9:00Video: This Chris dish is Chris-licious.
- 9:03Video: Don't diss the Chris.
- 9:05Video: Risk it for the Chris-biz.
- 9:07Video: What does that even mean?
- 9:09Video: None of these mean anything.
- 9:12Video: Respect the Chris-biz-gits.
- 9:14Video: Chris happens.
- 9:16Chris: Okay, that's like the third time he did some variation
- 9:18Chris: of respect the biscuits.
- 9:19Chris: So fuck this guy.
- 9:20Charles: Respect the Chris biscuits.
- 9:22Charles: God damn it.
- 9:23Charles: What's a Chris biscuit?
- 9:25Charles: First off.
- 9:27Charles: I like the have, what is it?
- 9:29Charles: The fish and Chris one.
- 9:31Charles: (laughing)
- 9:34Video: I hate this guy so much.
- 9:36Video: Chris.
- 9:36Video: Certified Christmas Jif.
- 9:38Video: Get fridge Chris.
- 9:40Video: What?
- 9:41Video: Chris is cooked.
- 9:42Video: zip it and Chris it.
- 9:45Video: I feel like all these catchphrases,
- 9:46Video: use them as much as you like, Chris.
- 9:48Video: You're gonna have an awesome birthday and it's okay.
- 9:51Video: I'm just a regular guy.
- 9:57Chris: I will use them as much as I want.
- 9:59Chris: And the amount that I want is zero.
- 10:03Chris: That's a Chris-tastrophe.
- 10:05Chris: You're a Chris-tastrophe.
- 10:07Charles: I am laughing so hard my face hurts.
- 10:10Nora: My face hurts too.
- 10:12Chris: You know what, Charles, you spent money on that.
- 10:15Chris: I am glad you were entertained by it,
- 10:17Chris: and I hope our audience is.
- 10:18Chris: I had no part in this, I did not see it ahead of time,
- 10:22Chris: and yes, I clicked on the button to play it,
- 10:24Chris: so I feel just as sad.
- 10:26Charles: It's a Chris with a twist.
- 10:28Nora: I told my tattoo artist about it
- 10:30Nora: and actually showed them the video,
- 10:33Nora: and they were like, "I'm gonna get one for my friend."
- 10:37Nora: (laughing)
- 10:39Nora: So, Cass, you're welcome.
- 10:41Chris: I'm telling you if I ever meet that guy in person, he's gonna get a Chris twist across his face
- 10:55Chris: Happy birthday Chris, happy birthday Chris. Thank you, and you really shouldn't have I
- 11:02Charles: Feel like you mean that like you should you should never have done this I
- 11:06Charles: I do mean it from the bottom of my which means you you understand that when you say it like that
- 11:14Charles: This is what you're getting for Christmas
- 11:16Charles: for Christmas
- 11:20Charles: Fuck my life
- 11:24Charles: I'm gonna get you one like once a month from the same guy and it's just gonna be like why are they getting the same?
- 11:29Charles: Same thing over and over
- 11:32Charles: See if I can make anything of this sad thing
- 11:34Chris: I'm pretty like I'm sure he just recycles a lot of those and just drops people's names in cuz half that shit is so incredibly
- 11:41Chris: Generic, he's like, oh it rhymes with this. I'll use all of these ones
- 11:45Nora: Isn't that what a catchphrase is though? No, that's not what a catchphrase
- 12:03Charles: Holy shit.
- 12:04Nora: I mean.
- 12:06Charles: Chris Gomez, I like the one where he says
- 12:07Charles: get fridged, Chris, like he's threatening your life.
- 12:11Chris: Yeah, what the fuck does that mean?
- 12:13Chris: He's gonna stuff me in a fridge?
- 12:13Chris: No, that means he's trying to kill you.
- 12:16Chris: I consider that a threat and I would expect no less
- 12:19Chris: from the nation of criminals.
- 12:22Nora: (laughing)
- 12:23Charles: So while we continue laughing hysterically
- 12:27Charles: at this great moment here, I think this is a great time
- 12:31Charles: for us to reset a little bit.
- 12:32Charles: bit with around the net. I guess.
- 12:48Nora: OK I've got some good ones for you guys. First one we're gonna
- 12:52Nora: see. So this is a news brief from a parent who has an
- 12:59Nora: elementary schooler and they bought a planner from the
- 13:02Nora: school and the planner was AI was used so we're just gonna enjoy how funny it
- 13:10Video: is. When Stacy Morris's son got in the car. Oh my god I can see it already.
- 13:20Video: That question sent Morris flipping through her middle
- 13:24Video: schooler at Farnsley's brand new agenda unveiling all sorts of bizarre errors.
- 13:30Video: The periodic table is just jarred old words.
- 13:34Video: New planets called Mark.
- 13:37Video: Louisiana is Luke.
- 13:39Video: All is Aleppo, Illinois is the choice and South Carolina is
- 13:45Video: It's Sourth Quanto.
- 13:47Video: (laughing)
- 13:50Charles: Sourth Quanto.
- 13:51Chris: Wait, did you see New Mexico?
- 13:52Chris: Hold on, we'll go back.
- 13:54Chris: (laughing)
- 13:59Nora: Newazonic.
- 14:00Nora: (laughing)
- 14:00Charles: Okay, we're gonna take a detour for a second.
- 14:04Nora: (laughing)
- 14:08Charles: Are you guys familiar with Pronunciation Manual at all?
- 14:12Nora: Mm-mm.
- 14:13Charles: So there is a YouTube channel called Pronunciation Manual.
- 14:17Charles: And all it is is it's pronouncing words.
- 14:23Nora: Wrong.
- 14:25Charles: Let's, okay, so Chris, you can cut to my screen
- 14:29Charles: and turn on the audio on my laptop.
- 14:34Video: Mio de noche.
- 14:35Video: (laughing)
- 14:36Video: Buenos dias.
- 14:37Video: Me amo, mio de noche.
- 14:40Charles: (laughing)
- 14:41Charles: So this is all, this is all it is, is things like this.
- 14:44Charles: Titty.
- 14:46Charles: Decapititty.
- 14:47Nora: Door crappy titty.
- 14:50Nora: Door crappy titty.
- 14:51Nora: (laughing)
- 14:53Charles: That's what it reminds me of.
- 14:55Charles: Yes, exactly.
- 14:56Charles: What was it, sorth?
- 14:58Nora: (laughing)
- 15:00Chris: Sorth Quanto.
- 15:01Charles: Sorth Quanto.
- 15:02Video: This is America and over here
- 15:04Video: you better pronounce that word,
- 15:06Video: (speaking in foreign language)
- 15:07Charles: (laughing)
- 15:08Charles: It's paella.
- 15:10Charles: (laughing)
- 15:10Charles: (laughing)
- 15:12Charles: My favorite of his is Joaquin Phoenix.
- 15:16Charles: He goes, "Jakooku, fa-weenis."
- 15:20Nora: "Jakooku, fa-weenis."
- 15:21Nora: (laughing)
- 15:23Charles: Justin Bieber was Juggie Brodelstein.
- 15:26Charles: (laughing)
- 15:27Chris: See Charles, if you brought more stuff like that
- 15:30Chris: and less things like the catchphrase guide,
- 15:32Chris: I'm a much happier producer.
- 15:34Chris: (laughing)
- 15:35Charles: Pronunciation, well we can go through
- 15:37Charles: some of the pronunciation manuals sometime.
- 15:39Nora: Oh, I just got a loud environment.
- 15:42Charles: I wonder why.
- 15:44Nora: We've got a giggle going.
- 15:46Nora: (laughing)
- 15:48Charles: Okay, but anyways, we can continue.
- 15:50Nora: There's not even the correct letters in Tennessee.
- 15:52Charles: Uniceo.
- 15:54Video: Illinois starts with a V.
- 15:56Video: I mean, it's crazy.
- 15:58Video: And look at these faces of the moon.
- 16:01Video: Wanking banking.
- 16:03Video: (laughing)
- 16:04Charles: That's how I start the morning every day.
- 16:06Charles: Tip lip Chevlot.
- 16:07Video: where the names under the elements are gibberish.
- 16:11Video: Nonsense.
- 16:11Video: We have to pay a $10 instructional fee.
- 16:14Chris: Okay, wait a second.
- 16:15Chris: So this is a school, right?
- 16:17Chris: Uh-huh. - Yeah.
- 16:18Chris: Like a school handed these out.
- 16:20Chris: Yeah.
- 16:22Chris: Are they just like making up textbooks now?
- 16:25Charles: Like how does- - It's gotta be AI.
- 16:27Chris: It's AI. - I mean, obviously it's AI,
- 16:30Chris: but what I'm saying is like,
- 16:31Chris: why are they handing out AI materials to kids
- 16:34Chris: when that material already exists?
- 16:38Nora: That's a great question.
- 16:39Charles: That's a great-
- 16:40Nora: For the planner company.
- 16:41Charles: Yeah, for real, I think that they're,
- 16:46Charles: okay, yeah, we'll continue.
- 16:48Nora: You're making us pay for something that you used AI for.
- 16:52Nora: That's kinda silly in my opinion.
- 16:56Nora: Yeah, I'd agree.
- 16:58Nora: I think it's nonsense.
- 16:59Nora: I think schools should be not using AI explicitly,
- 17:03Nora: but I don't have any kids, I just pay taxes,
- 17:05Nora: so what does that matter?
- 17:08Chris: You pay for everyone's kids.
- 17:09Nora: Exactly, okay.
- 17:11Charles: Chris, you're absolutely right about the,
- 17:15Charles: we already have these textbooks
- 17:17Charles: and this information is not changing.
- 17:19Charles: Why are we redoing things that don't need to be changed?
- 17:22Charles: And it feels a lot like how they change the college books,
- 17:28Charles: or just high school books in general, every single year,
- 17:31Charles: So there's just a slight different change
- 17:34Charles: so that you can't reuse the books.
- 17:36Charles: Yeah, I mean that's-- - It feels like that.
- 17:37Chris: Yeah, that's for the textbook lobby, which I understand.
- 17:41Chris: But you're really telling me that some school administrator
- 17:44Chris: thought that this was a better idea
- 17:46Chris: than having a book that might be a year or two outdated?
- 17:49Chris: Yeah, for real. - Right, right.
- 17:51Chris: At least the words are real words in there,
- 17:53Chris: even if they're not correct anymore.
- 17:55Nora: Yeah.
- 17:56Chris: Like, get the hell out of here.
- 17:57Nora: Right, 'cause maybe we don't read
- 17:59Nora: through the planner all the time,
- 18:00Nora: but I know when I was bored,
- 18:01Nora: I'd definitely read through my planner
- 18:03Nora: if I had nothing else to do.
- 18:04Nora: But kids have phones these days, so yeah.
- 18:08Nora: Okay, I have another news related item
- 18:10Nora: that is actually related to,
- 18:12Nora: remember the lady who's roller skating
- 18:14Nora: for the first time in Denver?
- 18:16Nora: Yes.
- 18:16Nora: We have a news story about her.
- 18:17Chris: Okay. - Ooh, fun.
- 18:19Video: For all the time she's been on planet Earth,
- 18:22Video: Heather Walker, just like her last name says,
- 18:24Video: has been able to walk.
- 18:26Video: Walker?
- 18:26Charles: I hardly know her, sorry.
- 18:29Video: one foot in front of the other.
- 18:30Video: She's pretty good at it.
- 18:33Video: (laughing)
- 18:36Charles: She's pretty good at it.
- 18:38Charles: Go you.
- 18:40Charles: Her name's not Pogoer.
- 18:42Video: But on August 22nd, she'll attempt a new feat.
- 18:46Video: My newest dream is to attempt roller skating
- 18:49Video: for the very first time in my life.
- 18:50Chris: Dream big, baby.
- 18:52Chris: Dream big.
- 18:52Charles: I cannot believe that this is an actual news story.
- 18:57Chris: Gotta be a slow news day.
- 18:58Video: She could just fall straight onto her face.
- 19:02Chris: (laughing)
- 19:05Chris: Holy shit, they have context.
- 19:07Video: In injury or disaster.
- 19:09Video: But Heather is inspired by the balance and agility,
- 19:12Video: hoping to get that experience
- 19:14Video: like some of her other family members.
- 19:16Video: She also has experience from one time dressing as a pillow.
- 19:20Video: My pillow character was very focused
- 19:23Video: on finding warmth by a fire.
- 19:26Video: and those motions, the back and forth,
- 19:28Video: the warming of the fire might really inspire my students.
- 19:33Charles: No shit did they air this on.
- 19:36Chris: What station aired this, Nora?
- 19:40Nora: She hired a reporter to do this story
- 19:43Nora: and she made it for her TikTok.
- 19:44Chris: Oh, so this is for her TikTok?
- 19:46Nora: This was from her TikTok.
- 19:47Chris: I mean, I had a feeling based on the production value
- 19:50Chris: of the shots, I'm like, this was shot with an iPhone.
- 19:52Nora: Yeah, this is on her page.
- 19:55Charles: I mean, this is great marketing, but like, I was like,
- 19:58Charles: this is like, like, let's go back to her childhood
- 20:01Charles: where she played a pillow.
- 20:03Chris: I mean, there's also no like lower third chyrons.
- 20:06Chris: I was like, there's no way that's aired on television.
- 20:08Chris: Right.
- 20:09Chris: It's the lower third that gives it away.
- 20:10Chris: I respect the idea for sure.
- 20:11Chris: I think that's real fun.
- 20:12Chris: I know.
- 20:18Video: You could just wear this just in case.
- 20:20Charles: Was she actually studying for the first time?
- 20:22Charles: It's backwards, it's backwards.
- 20:22Charles: The helmet's backwards.
- 20:23Charles: The hell?
- 20:25Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 20:26Video: I'm so worried about your safety.
- 20:29Video: Maybe you better do this.
- 20:31Video: Her hair, which is so cute, is going
- 20:33Video: to get pretty squashed down from that helmet.
- 20:35Video: She could break a bone.
- 20:37Video: Her helmet could fly off.
- 20:39Video: I saw that that clasp was not secure.
- 20:41Video: [LAUGHTER]
- 20:42Video: Will Walker become skater?
- 20:44Video: She's asking as many people who can
- 20:48Video: to join her in Cheesman Park on August 22nd
- 20:51Video: to see if she can attempt what-
- 20:53Video: That's just her voice, isn't it?
- 20:55Video: Have attempted and succeeded at.
- 20:57Video: It might be.
- 20:58Chris: Or she hired a voiceover artist from Fiverr.
- 21:00Nora: 'Cause there is somebody tagged in the bio
- 21:06Nora: or in the information about the video,
- 21:09Nora: and I'm pretty sure she got a local reporter
- 21:11Nora: to do the voiceover.
- 21:14Video: That the worrying will be left to her mother.
- 21:17Video: If she does succeed, she says she does not know what's next,
- 21:21Video: but thinks she'll be on a positive roll.
- 21:26Video: If I can roller skate without falling,
- 21:28Video: then that probably means I could also climb a tree
- 21:31Video: as an adult.
- 21:33Video: It probably means I could learn how to fold a fitted sheet.
- 21:38Video: (laughing)
- 21:41Video: Climb up to Everest.
- 21:44Video: I could learn how to paint in the style of Picasso.
- 21:49Video: scale a light post.
- 21:54Video: In Denver, Lindsey Thies, absolutely made up news.
- 21:58Video: (laughing)
- 22:01Chris: Excellent.
- 22:03Nora: I'm obsessed with her.
- 22:05Nora: I think she's amazing.
- 22:06Chris: Was she actually learning to skate for the first time
- 22:08Chris: or was that made up as well?
- 22:09Nora: I'm pretty sure that's real.
- 22:11Chris: Okay, cool.
- 22:12Charles: Chris, this is what we do for a loudspeaker.
- 22:17Charles: How we do an ad.
- 22:18Charles: We do a fake news thing.
- 22:20Chris: I'm down for that.
- 22:22Nora: Do we wanna spend a fourth day together
- 22:23Nora: and go to Denver, to Fuseman Park on Saturday
- 22:28Nora: to go support our friends?
- 22:29Charles: That is a lot of time to get that answer.
- 22:31Nora: Four days in a row, you guys, four days.
- 22:34Nora: (laughing)
- 22:35Nora: All right.
- 22:37Chris: Update on the school AI story that I found.
- 22:40Chris: Oh, it doesn't wanna display.
- 22:43Chris: Oh no, it does.
- 22:46Chris: The school administrators told a local news organization,
- 22:53Chris: the district's executive officer of communications said,
- 22:55Chris: "I appreciate you bringing this to my attention.
- 22:58Chris: "I spoke with the school about inaccuracies
- 23:00Chris: "in their agenda."
- 23:01Chris: Wednesday, administrators emailed teachers
- 23:03Chris: warning them about, quote, "a lot of mistakes"
- 23:05Chris: on pages 19 through 36.
- 23:08Chris: Administrators told teachers to have students
- 23:10Chris: tear those pages out before taking them home
- 23:13Chris: and for teachers to keep the pages.
- 23:15Chris: Dang.
- 23:16Chris: This is not a misprint.
- 23:17Chris: Someone did not look at what they were handing out
- 23:19Chris: to the students.
- 23:22Nora: It's negligence.
- 23:23Chris: Good times, way to go, y'all.
- 23:27Nora: All right, so in some happier news.
- 23:30Nora: So I have some update videos on some belugas
- 23:34Nora: that were recently rescued from Marineland,
- 23:37Nora: which was an abandoned aquarium in Canada.
- 23:40Nora: And these belugas had basically been abandoned there
- 23:44Nora: and they're still being taken care of,
- 23:45Nora: but like, nobody was going to visit them.
- 23:49Nora: So it was like 20 something belugas had to be brought
- 23:52Nora: to different aquariums across the United States and Canada.
- 23:56Nora: And so we have set up dates for,
- 23:58Nora: I think four or two of them came to the aquarium in Atlanta,
- 24:04Nora: and then like six of them are at the Shed Aquarium
- 24:07Nora: in Chicago.
- 24:08Nora: So I just wanna enjoy some like happy beluga content.
- 24:12Chris: I don't like beluga.
- 24:13Chris: It's stuck in my teeth.
- 24:16Charles: (laughing)
- 24:22Charles: Look at them.
- 24:25Nora: The entire pod came and said hi.
- 24:32Charles: How do you introduce belugas to each other?
- 24:35Charles: Slowly.
- 24:36Charles: Is it like cats?
- 24:37Nora: You just let them in.
- 24:39Chris: Yeah, you just let them sniff each other for a while.
- 24:40Nora: Yeah, basically.
- 24:41Nora: See, that's meeting.
- 24:43Nora: That's a bunch of blue goos meeting each other right there.
- 24:45Nora: (people talking)
- 24:48Nora: A little nervous.
- 24:49Nora: And the little ones are the ones from the old aquarium.
- 24:57Nora: Also, look how large that,
- 24:59Nora: like how much water they have.
- 25:01Nora: It's like that's a lot of space, which is great.
- 25:06Chris: The Georgia Aquarium is the second largest aquarium
- 25:10Chris: in North America.
- 25:11Chris: That place is enormous and so much fun.
- 25:14Chris: If you get a chance to be in Atlanta, go there.
- 25:17Nora: Yeah, go there.
- 25:18Nora: It's really one of the best.
- 25:19Nora: Like, go to the deep sea or the wide ocean tank,
- 25:25Nora: where you can just sit in front of the massive piece
- 25:28Nora: of acrylic, like a movie screen,
- 25:29Nora: and just watch all of the fish move.
- 25:31Nora: Oh my gosh.
- 25:32Chris: It fills your entire field of vision.
- 25:35Chris: It's really something to behold.
- 25:37Chris: And if you've been to the Denver Aquarium,
- 25:39Chris: makes that look like a homeless encampment. It's really like there's no
- 25:43Nora: comparison. Yeah because they also have the whale sharks. They did lose a whale
- 25:47Nora: shark this past year due to health issues but they still have one whale
- 25:50Nora: shark and they have rays and they have turtles and oh it's just incredible.
- 25:54Nora: Really good spot. So second we've got the shed aquarium. Right now we're looking
- 26:00Video: at four beluga whales that came from Marineland Canada that were recently
- 26:04Video: rescued. Their names are Acadia, Lillooet, Osiris and Sierra. We're looking... Is this
- 26:09Chris: were putting tariffs on Canada because we stole their belugas?
- 26:12Chris: Yeah.
- 26:12Chris: OK.
- 26:13Video: Looking for signs every hour of every day
- 26:15Video: that they're making progress, that they're
- 26:17Video: swimming in a larger habitat, that they are foraging
- 26:20Video: and spending time together and being curious and exploring.
- 26:23Video: They're acclimating pretty well.
- 26:25Video: A move of this nature is unprecedented and incredibly
- 26:28Video: complex.
- 26:29Video: There is no other option for these belugas.
- 26:31Video: We need to provide the high standards of care and welfare
- 26:35Video: for these animals.
- 26:35Video: and the only place to do that right now is in aquariums.
- 26:39Video: They cannot be released into the wild
- 26:41Video: because they have not lived there,
- 26:42Video: they haven't foraged on their own.
- 26:44Video: They've lived for decades in marine land.
- 26:47Video: So that is not an option for them.
- 26:49Video: Mm-hmm.
- 26:50Nora: But they're now being taken care of,
- 26:52Nora: and the Shedd Aquarium is also renowned
- 26:56Nora: for the conservation efforts that they do in the wild.
- 26:59Nora: And so one of the positive things about a good aquarium
- 27:03Nora: is how they can contribute to those conservation efforts.
- 27:07Nora: And, you know, they're not taking animals from nature,
- 27:11Nora: but they are, you know,
- 27:14Nora: reinvesting back into their environment.
- 27:16Nora: So I'm just happy that these belugas are, you know,
- 27:19Nora: adjusting 'cause they're just really cool.
- 27:22Chris: Neat.
- 27:23Charles: That's very neat.
- 27:24Nora: Okay, found a niche interest on TikTok
- 27:26Nora: that I had not realized was a thing before.
- 27:29Nora: So we're gonna watch this tear hair video.
- 27:33Chris: Wait, is this the Arby thing?
- 27:36Chris: Okay.
- 27:37Video: On the website, I have an archive
- 27:38Video: of all the tear here designs used across the collection.
- 27:42Video: You can browse to find any weird ones
- 27:44Video: like this footprint one found on Nando's packets.
- 27:48Video: But today-
- 27:49Chris: Wait, what?
- 27:50Nora: His whole account is called tear here.
- 27:55Nora: He categorizes the tear here symbol.
- 28:00Chris: Well, we know someone who doesn't need
- 28:02Chris: to take the autism test.
- 28:04Chris: (laughing)
- 28:07Charles: I take offense to that, Chris.
- 28:10Charles: You really shouldn't, Charles.
- 28:12Charles: That feels...
- 28:13Charles: (laughing)
- 28:15Charles: I mean, you're not wrong.
- 28:17Charles: You're not wrong.
- 28:18Charles: However, you're on thin ice, buddy, bucko.
- 28:23Nora: (laughing)
- 28:25Video: I get to add a new one.
- 28:27Video: Arby's dropped their new brand design refresh
- 28:29Video: across their lineup. - How exciting.
- 28:30Video: This is all good with mayo.
- 28:31Video: pretty bold statement. Historically, they started out horizontally and then progressed
- 28:38Video: through many iterations of vertical design and then for a time back to horizontal. But
- 28:45Video: now we're back to vertical. Since the beginning they used the same basic tear here icon, but
- 28:52Video: that changes today. The overall design is very minimalistic and it stands out well because
- 28:59Video: of it it's easy to distinguish between the different sauces at a glance. But this tear
- 29:06Chris: here icon, it's very unique. The color of the horsey sauce container looks like jizz.
- 29:11Video: I'm just gonna say. I mean, that's just horsey sauce, man. Your catalog. Go check them out
- 29:19Nora: today. So, um, that's wow. Wow. Nora. That like existed. Well, I would not have it. I
- 29:30Chris: cataloging interesting historical things, that makes sense.
- 29:34Chris: But if you had given me 50 years
- 29:37Chris: to think of things to catalog,
- 29:38Chris: that would never have come up.
- 29:40Nora: Yeah. - Right?
- 29:41Nora: I was just fascinated and just a little bit amazed at that.
- 29:46Nora: So I have three more here.
- 29:48Nora: So, Safael, she is one of my favorite
- 29:52Nora: medieval TikTok creators.
- 29:55Nora: And we're just gonna jump right into her video
- 29:57Nora: because she's gonna getcha.
- 30:02Video: But he is talking about the medieval French
- 30:03Video: literary influences on the Minions franchise.
- 30:06Video: And I'm sick of it.
- 30:08Video: In the 12th century Arthurian legend,
- 30:10Video: Eric and Enid, written in long poem form
- 30:12Video: by Chrétien de Troyes,
- 30:14Video: many knights are listed as being present
- 30:16Video: for the wedding of the titular characters,
- 30:18Video: including a knight mentioned in passing
- 30:20Video: named Gru the Solon.
- 30:22Video: Is this possibly one of the oldest references
- 30:25Video: to the name Gru?
- 30:26Video: Gru the Solon. Is that a coincidence? Additionally, the
- 30:30Video: names of Gru's adopted daughters are very medieval. Margot
- 30:34Video: deriving from Margot with a T deriving from Marguerite, as
- 30:38Video: well as Edith and Agnes were all very popular medieval girls
- 30:42Charles: name among upper class people.
- 30:44Charles: Pause it. Pause it. Pause it.
- 30:46Charles: Oh, God. Yikes.
- 30:49Charles: It's French. It's just French.
- 30:56Charles: Dreamworks is just a fucking French company.
- 31:00Nora: I think that's probably true.
- 31:01Charles: The minions, the French love their weird little guys.
- 31:06Charles: Like they love a little guy who doesn't speak English very like or at all or like a language.
- 31:13Charles: Right?
- 31:13Charles: Like you've got you've got the minions, you've got rabids, they're French as well.
- 31:19Nora: That makes a lot of sense.
- 31:21Charles: The you guys will not know this but there's like a character in
- 31:24Charles: Expedition 33, a video game.
- 31:26Nora: Yeah, I know about it.
- 31:28Charles: Yes, who are basically the same kind of things.
- 31:32Chris: Wait a second, Nora, did you notice how derisively
- 31:34Chris: he's like a video game?
- 31:35Chris: (laughing)
- 31:35Chris: 'Cause you two aren't knowing the hip stuff.
- 31:38Nora: You've talked about it kind of a lot.
- 31:40Nora: (laughing)
- 31:41Charles: It's a great game, but I just wanted to like-
- 31:45Charles: We're cultured, Charles.
- 31:46Nora: He's getting there, oh my God.
- 31:48Charles: I'm just being nice.
- 31:50Charles: I'm being understanding that sometimes
- 31:53Charles: I talk about things that you guys don't know about and I'm adding context to the story. No, I get it
- 31:59Charles: But but they love their fucking weird little guys. Rafael has more to say about that anyways
- 32:06Charles: Oh my god
- 32:07Charles: Oh my god
- 32:08Video: Itself also has origins in medieval france
- 32:11Video: Originally the word minion coming from mignon referred to the king's mignons by the 16th century the early modern time period
- 32:19Video: Les Minions, the Minions, was used to refer to the army of twinks maintained by Henry III,
- 32:26Video: King of France, who were described by a contemporary as "exceedingly odious as much
- 32:31Video: by their foolish and haughty demeanor as by their effeminate and immodest dress,
- 32:35Video: but above all by the immense gifts the King made to them." Is this connection between the Minions
- 32:41Video: franchise and medieval France really possible? The studio that made Despicable Me and the Minions
- 32:46Chris: franchise was Illumination working in partnership or Illuminati with the French animation studio
- 32:55Video: MacGuff which they eventually acquired and MacGuff was responsible for animating all the minions and
- 33:01Video: stuff which is why there were so many freaking minions at the Paris Olympics a few years ago
- 33:06Video: the like you know in all the like opening ceremonies and stuff if you remember that
- 33:10Video: and did I just make this video because I've been listening to Arthurian Legends on audiobook
- 33:15Video: and I heard the name Gru the Sullen and thought what the hell? Maybe. Impossible to say.
- 33:22Video: Maybe.
- 33:27Chris: You know, that's one of those videos where I have a hard time discerning whether they're
- 33:34Chris: doing it for content or whether they're just really that hyper-focused.
- 33:39Chris: I think it's a bit of both.
- 33:42Nora: She does wear that costume in every video.
- 33:45Nora: And she is a medieval historian
- 33:47Nora: and has published papers in French.
- 33:49Chris: I think that could be a new game show idea.
- 33:52Chris: Are they autistic?
- 33:54Chris: Yeah, like.
- 33:55Nora: Or is it a bit?
- 33:56Nora: Like, yeah.
- 33:57Charles: Bit or autistic, you decide.
- 33:59Nora: Anyway, I love-
- 34:00Charles: Bit-tistic.
- 34:02Charles: Ot bits-um?
- 34:04Charles: No, that's nothing.
- 34:05Charles: (laughing)
- 34:06Charles: I tried.
- 34:07Charles: I tried.
- 34:09Nora: Okay, so this reminded me,
- 34:11Nora: This next one reminded me of our idea for Dr. Pepper meal.
- 34:16Nora: So I think we just need to take some inspiration.
- 34:19Chris: I hate what is worst nightmare.
- 34:21Nora: Yeah, I think we just need to take some inspiration here.
- 34:23Chris: This is three minutes long, Nora.
- 34:25Video: I found this Mountain Dew cookbook
- 34:27Video: and I'm gonna cook through the entirety of it.
- 34:29Video: And continuing in Badass Breakfast,
- 34:31Video: we're gonna be making green.
- 34:32Chris: Why is there a Mountain Dew cookbook?
- 34:34Nora: We need to look for a Dr. Pepper cookbook.
- 34:36Chris: Oh my God, I'm looking this up right now.
- 34:38Nora: God damn it.
- 34:40Nora: (laughing)
- 34:40Video: Now for ingredients, you're going to need six eggs,
- 34:43Video: four 12 ounce cans of Mountain Dew.
- 34:44Video: Nope.
- 34:45Video: Any amount of ham you see fit.
- 34:46Video: Three drops of green food coloring.
- 34:49Video: Tablespoon of chive.
- 34:50Video: I already hate this.
- 34:50Video: First thing is we're going to take our Mountain Dew
- 34:52Video: and pour it in a skillet that's deep enough
- 34:54Video: to hold four cans of Mountain Dew.
- 34:56Video: Three drops of food coloring.
- 34:59Video: It's green.
- 35:00Chris: And you're going to turn it.
- 35:01Chris: Wait, 'cause the Mountain Dew is not green enough?
- 35:03Nora: Yeah.
- 35:04Chris: Wow.
- 35:05Video: On that heat, cover it up.
- 35:06Video: Not for green eggs and ham.
- 35:07Video: And then just kind of allow it to simmer.
- 35:09Video: And I know what you're probably thinking.
- 35:11Video: Do you?
- 35:12Charles: Chris, can you pause it real quick?
- 35:16Charles: Can we make a business purchase?
- 35:19Charles: Did you find the cookbook?
- 35:21Charles: I did on eBay.
- 35:23Chris: On eBay?
- 35:24Chris: Is it sold out on Amazon?
- 35:26Charles: You should cut to my screen.
- 35:27Charles: You should cut to my screen real quick.
- 35:30Charles: (laughing)
- 35:32Charles: Oh my God.
- 35:34Charles: As low as $40.93 a month with Klarna though.
- 35:38Chris: Also, how much spyware do you have installed
- 35:41Chris: on your browser, dude?
- 35:43Chris: There's like one, two, three, four pop-ups right here.
- 35:47Charles: Hey, uh.
- 35:50Chris: Don't mind that.
- 35:51Charles: Don't mind that, don't mind that, don't mind that.
- 35:53Video: Yeah, okay.
- 35:56Chris: Yeah, anyway.
- 35:59Video: Which eggs in Mountain Dew?
- 36:02Video: Yeah, buddy, I'm sorry.
- 36:05Video: In the meantime, you're gonna take each of your six eggs
- 36:07Video: and crack them into six bowls, or so it says.
- 36:11Video: Personally, I'm-
- 36:12Chris: I would do anything for the show and for you guys,
- 36:15Chris: but I won't do that.
- 36:17Nora: You won't poach eggs in Mountain Dew?
- 36:19Chris: No.
- 36:19Chris: Meatloaf lyrics right there.
- 36:21Chris: Hey, someone gets me.
- 36:23Chris: Charles, you complete me.
- 36:26Chris: Yeah.
- 36:26Charles: Mountain Dew meatloaf.
- 36:27Chris: I am Mountain Dew meatloaf.
- 36:29Chris: It's the combination everyone needs.
- 36:31Chris: I would never cook anything with Mountain Dew.
- 36:34Video: I'm just gonna stick with one bowl
- 36:35Video: and crack 'em one at a time.
- 36:37Video: I'm being insolent here,
- 36:38Video: but I don't think I need six different bowls for six eggs.
- 36:41Video: That feels like a lot of dishes I don't want to wash.
- 36:43Video: Now once your deal's at a simmer,
- 36:45Video: and I've been told this is what a simmer looks like,
- 36:47Video: so if I'm wrong, tell me in the comments.
- 36:49Video: Go ahead and put your eggs in the milk.
- 36:50Video: I've been told this is what a simmer looks like.
- 36:53Video: Careful not to crack any of those yolks, that's important.
- 36:55Video: Then it says to cover the skillet and turn off the heat.
- 36:58Video: Just let it poach for five minutes.
- 37:01Video: Now the five minutes done,
- 37:03Video: you can see what you've created.
- 37:06Video: Oh, like a bunch of little alien embryo sex.
- 37:09Video: Plate it up, personally I got myself an English muffin,
- 37:11Video: little toasted.
- 37:12Video: A couple pieces of ham on each side.
- 37:15Video: You go on and get your-
- 37:17Video: Eggs poached in Mountain Dew.
- 37:19Video: (laughing)
- 37:20Video: And you add those slightly green abominations on top.
- 37:24Chris: Okay, hold on, let's play a quick little game
- 37:26Chris: of what's worse.
- 37:28Chris: What is worse, the fact that the Mountain Dew cookbook
- 37:31Chris: exists or that this guy actually made something in it.
- 37:35Charles: I'm reading through an article from Business Insider
- 37:38Charles: where somebody cooked through the cookbook
- 37:41Charles: and there is a Mountain Dew grilled cheese.
- 37:45Charles: It looks horrendous.
- 37:47Nora: It really looks bad.

- 1:05:23Video: We can just brush all this water out.
- 1:05:24Video: They've got little notches on the ends of the leaf

- 1:15:12Nora: I was gonna say kraft mac and cheese one. That's however, it tasted exactly like kraft mac and cheese
- 1:15:18Charles: So they did it perfect. However
- 1:15:21Charles: Everything else that they do is good. They've got a mango sticky rice one right now. That's really good. This is
- 1:15:27Chris: Ridiculously good. Oh my god. Yeah

- 1:16:21Nora: This one's falling apart.
- 1:16:22Nora: So this one's like a coffee bean.
- 1:16:24Charles: Looks like a giant coffee bean.
- 1:16:26Nora: Yep.
- 1:16:26Nora: And I'm gonna put this one back in
- 1:16:27Nora: 'cause it's in pieces.
- 1:16:29Nora: This one,
- 1:16:31Nora: we've got a coconut where it has like some coconut hair,
- 1:16:35Nora: you know.
- 1:16:36Charles: Cute.
- 1:16:36Charles: Nice.
- 1:16:36Nora: And then this one slid around.
- 1:16:40Nora: Got a lemon one.
- 1:16:43Nora: So we've got all of our different flavors.
- 1:16:44Charles: A bunch of flavors here. You have a knife over here if you want to cut into those
- 1:16:49Nora: excellent because these are like the
- 1:16:52Nora: white chocolate
- 1:16:54Charles: Fancy, I don't even know and Chris. I'm gonna bring these to you

- 1:17:06Nora: These are like these have like filling in them
- 1:17:14Nora: Okay
- 1:17:14Nora: I think now the flavor's gonna get it.
- 1:17:17Nora: Oh, okay.
- 1:17:20Nora: These are very exciting.
- 1:17:25Nora: Oh, this one has jelly in it.
- 1:17:28Nora: Okay.
- 1:17:30Charles: Do you wanna do just these two for right now?
- 1:17:32Nora: Yeah, we'll start with these two.
- 1:17:33Charles: Okay, I'll be right back.
- 1:17:34Nora: Okay.
- 1:17:35Nora: Oh, you guys.
- 1:17:40Nora: Oh.
- 1:17:42Nora: Oh, you guys.
- 1:17:46Nora: Chris, I hope you like these.
- 1:17:49Nora: Me too.
- 1:17:50Nora: I am really excited about them.
- 1:17:52Nora: I don't want them to like be disappointment, you know?
- 1:17:56Nora: I've been
- 1:17:56Chris: All right, here we go.
- 1:17:58Nora: Thinking about them for so long,
- 1:18:02Chris: that like...
- 1:18:03Chris: Okay, so which one should I try first?
- 1:18:04Nora: I don't know, which one do you wanna try?
- 1:18:06Chris: I'm gonna try the mango.
- 1:18:09Nora: Okay.
- 1:18:10Nora: I will also take a bite of the mango one.
- 1:18:12Nora: Mm.
- 1:18:16Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:17Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:18Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:18Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:20Video: Yeah, there.
- 1:18:21Nora: It's like custardy.
- 1:18:23Chris: It's very custardy.
- 1:18:23Chris: It tastes like mango.
- 1:18:25Nora: There's like a, a jam in the middle.
- 1:18:27Nora: The mango one.
- 1:18:29Chris: Yeah.
- 1:18:29Chris: That's delightful.
- 1:18:29Chris: Just dump right in?
- 1:18:31Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:18:32Chris: Here we go.
- 1:18:35Chris: Too much.
- 1:18:36Nora: Too mango?
- 1:18:37Chris: Oh, too much, Charles.
- 1:18:38Nora: What?
- 1:18:39Nora: Too mango?
- 1:18:39Nora: Did you, you got a bunch of mango...
- 1:18:41Chris: Jam in there though. Yeah, it was basically just mango jam. Oh, I see
- 1:18:51Chris: Mango jam it's a lot. Yeah. All right. Let's let's try this other one
- 1:18:57Chris: Is this the lemon one? Yeah, okay, so we got lemon here. Look if it will stay on my fork
- 1:19:05Chris: Get a shot of it. Mmm. There it is. I
- 1:19:09Chris: Like that one a lot more. Mmm
- 1:19:12Charles: That's so good.
- 1:19:16Nora: These are delicious.
- 1:19:16Nora: Oh shit.
- 1:19:17Charles: Wow.
- 1:19:17Charles: That is...
- 1:19:18Charles: Want to keep the other two for yourself?
- 1:19:20Nora: We can try them.
- 1:19:21Nora: Up to you.
- 1:19:22Chris: We have so many things to try, Nora.
- 1:19:24Charles: Keep them for yourself.
- 1:19:26Charles: We got a lot to try.
- 1:19:26Chris: Though I will say that lemon is heavenly.
- 1:19:30Chris: Holy shit.
- 1:19:31Chris: There's some serious curd going on.
- 1:19:32Nora: Yeah.
- 1:19:34Chris: Where'd you get those?
- 1:19:35Nora: The Turkish.
- 1:19:35Nora: So I got them at the Turkish Cafe Co.
- 1:19:38Nora: Which is here in Fort Collins.
- 1:19:40Nora: And they were about right across the street from the studio about 1150 a piece
- 1:19:45Nora: Definitely a little splurge item but like so dang worth it like so dang worth it
- 1:19:52Charles: Oh my god, the guy's getting beat up in the background. Sorry
- 1:19:56Charles: Started playing I was very confused. Wow. Those are so good. Yeah, are you sure you guys don't try the other ones?
- 1:20:03Nora: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We're gonna try everything else. We got so much stuff. Okay, so those are super rich
- 1:20:09Nora: They're so rich.
- 1:20:10Chris: I think if we have all of them, we'll probably all die.
- 1:20:13Nora: It's true.
- 1:20:14Charles: Okay, here's the plate of everything else.
- 1:20:17Charles: So let's do from the things that I can grab.
- 1:20:20Charles: Let's wash this down first.
- 1:20:23Nora: Great idea.
- 1:20:24Nora: Wait, where's mine?
- 1:20:25Charles: We're sharing one.
- 1:20:26Charles: Oh, okay.
- 1:20:28Charles: Backwash.
- 1:20:29Charles: Are you sure?
- 1:20:30Charles: Yeah.
- 1:20:30Charles: So Charles, tell us what we've got here.
- 1:20:32Charles: So we talked about this last week.
- 1:20:35Charles: This is the Grillo's Pickles Liquid IV.
- 1:20:41Charles: So we're going to wash this down
- 1:20:44Charles: with a dill pickle flavored drink.
- 1:20:48Charles: What does it smell like?
- 1:20:49Charles: Does it smell like dill?
- 1:20:49Charles: It smells very dilly.
- 1:20:51Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:20:52Nora: Smells like dill.
- 1:20:53Chris: Smells very dilly, yeah.
- 1:20:55Chris: Smells like pickle water.
- 1:20:58Nora: All right.
- 1:20:58Chris: That's literally what it is.
- 1:21:00Nora: Cheers, Chris.
- 1:21:01Chris: Cheers.
- 1:21:02Nora: This is for the Potts girlies out there.
- 1:21:07Chris: Okay.
- 1:21:09Chris: It's not as, it's not as pickly as I expected.
- 1:21:15Chris: It's more of a mild pickle.
- 1:21:16Nora: Yeah.
- 1:21:17Nora: It's like a watered down pickle juice.
- 1:21:19Chris: Yeah.
- 1:21:20Chris: Yeah.
- 1:21:20Chris: I don't, I don't dislike it.
- 1:21:24Chris: I don't dislike it.
- 1:21:25Chris: I think if you wanted, if you wanted a liquid IV, like if you wanted some electrolyte water,
- 1:21:31Chris: but you didn't want something sweet,
- 1:21:33Chris: I could see this being useful for that.
- 1:21:35Charles: Yeah. - Yeah.
- 1:21:36Charles: I'd say it would mix well with a lemonade.
- 1:21:38Charles: Yeah. - That would be pretty good.
- 1:21:40Nora: Yes. - It would be great
- 1:21:41Charles: in a lemonade. - I agree.
- 1:21:43Nora: Yeah, it's not bad.
- 1:21:44Nora: I think it's better than some of the other Liquid IV flavors
- 1:21:48Nora: 'cause it doesn't have that sweetness.
- 1:21:49Nora: Yeah. - But Liquid IV
- 1:21:51Nora: is known to have some of that really electrolyte flavor.
- 1:21:57Chris: Okay, next. - Yeah, that's not bad at all.
- 1:21:59Chris: I mean, I don't know that I would reach for it
- 1:22:01Chris: like on a regular basis, but yeah,
- 1:22:04Chris: if you don't want something sweet, that's a good choice.
- 1:22:06Charles: Next up, we've got the candy corns from Nerds.
- 1:22:09Charles: This is a brand new Nerds.
- 1:22:12Charles: Let's see, get into the shot there.
- 1:22:14Charles: Nerds candy corn, which is their Halloween candy corn,
- 1:22:19Charles: which is very interesting.
- 1:22:24Chris: Which one is that?
- 1:22:25Chris: Is that the-
- 1:22:26Chris: That's the more pointy one.
- 1:22:27Chris: The more pointy one.
- 1:22:28Chris: Okay, got it.
- 1:22:30Chris: Yeah.
- 1:22:35Nora: I like the crunchiness of Nerds
- 1:22:36Nora: and I'm missing that with these.
- 1:22:39Charles: I like it better than candy corn.
- 1:22:41Charles: Candy corn's gross though.
- 1:22:43Charles: Okay.
- 1:22:43Nora: I'd rather eat regular candy corn.
- 1:22:46Chris: Okay, I mean, I don't feel,
- 1:22:48Chris: I'm not one of those people that feel strongly
- 1:22:50Chris: about candy corn one way or the other.
- 1:22:53Nora: Yeah.
- 1:22:53Chris: But this feels wrong.
- 1:22:55Nora: Yeah.
- 1:22:55Chris: There's something about it that feels wrong.
- 1:22:57Chris: Not in a taste way, but I think because of the,
- 1:23:03Chris: excuse me, because candy corn has such a specific texture
- 1:23:07Chris: when you're chewing it, your brain expects
- 1:23:09Chris: the candy corn flavor and the fact that you're getting
- 1:23:12Chris: nerds instead is like causing some sort of
- 1:23:16Charles: cognitive dissonance.
- 1:23:17Nora: I agree, I agree.
- 1:23:19Charles: Okay, hot tamales, my favorite snack of all time.
- 1:23:23Charles: Has a new flavor out, tropical heat.
- 1:23:26Nora: Ooh.
- 1:23:27Charles: I'm excited for this.
- 1:23:27Charles: I love hot tamales.
- 1:23:29Charles: This is fruit flavor.
- 1:23:30Charles: So there's fiery lime, there's mango chili,
- 1:23:32Charles: which is the orange one, pineapple picante,
- 1:23:35Charles: which is the yellow one.
- 1:23:39Charles: Okay.
- 1:23:39Nora: Ooh!
- 1:23:44Chris: I tried the orange first.
- 1:23:47Chris: Ooh.
- 1:23:50Charles: I like that a lot.
- 1:23:51Nora: Yeah.
- 1:23:52Video: Ooh, that's got some heat to it.
- 1:23:53Charles: The orange is nice.
- 1:23:55Charles: That's nice.
- 1:23:55Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:23:58Nora: Mm, that's good.
- 1:24:01Chris: Now I'm gonna try the one that looks like it was made
- 1:24:04Chris: with Mountain Dew from that cookbook.
- 1:24:05Chris: Mm-hmm.
- 1:24:08Nora: Woo.
- 1:24:09Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:24:10Nora: Yummy.
- 1:24:12Chris: I could eat a box of those.
- 1:24:13Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:24:14Chris: Yeah, that's solid.
- 1:24:16Nora: That lime one is really good.
- 1:24:18Charles: Hell yeah.
- 1:24:20Charles: Okay.
- 1:24:21Charles: Yeah, these are a win, I would say.
- 1:24:22Charles: These are great.
- 1:24:23Charles: Next up, uh, Krispy Kreme is doing their Pokemon themed donuts right now.
- 1:24:32Charles: So these are the Krispy Kreme Pokemons.
- 1:24:34Charles: There's a jiggly puff.
- 1:24:36Charles: There's a charred mander and Chris has the peaked a chew.
- 1:24:43Charles: Let me get into the shot here.
- 1:24:46Nora: Cute.
- 1:24:46Charles: Beautiful.
- 1:24:48Charles: All right.
- 1:24:49Charles: Cheers.
- 1:24:50Charles: Cheers.
- 1:24:50Nora: Those are edible too, huh?
- 1:24:51Charles: Yeah.
- 1:24:52Charles: I'm not gonna eat too much of this.
- 1:24:54Charles: I'm already like sugared out.
- 1:24:58Nora: Mine's chocolate filled.
- 1:25:01Charles: Ooh.
- 1:25:05Charles: Mine's just like a-
- 1:25:07Charles: Strawberry?
- 1:25:07Charles: Normal donut.
- 1:25:08Charles: I don't think it is, is it strawberry?
- 1:25:10Charles: I can't tell, it's very bland.
- 1:25:12Chris: Yeah, to me it just seems like a normal
- 1:25:14Chris: Krispy Kreme donut with a Pikachu on it.
- 1:25:17Chris: Yeah, that's kind of what I'm getting to.
- 1:25:19Chris: Which I wasn't, I mean, I don't know what I was expecting,
- 1:25:21Chris: but yeah, it's very, I'm going to try the candy. Mine has chocolate in it.
- 1:25:28Charles: I mean, you could say the guys are edible,
- 1:25:34Chris: edible, barely. Okay. So, I mean, it's a Krispy Kreme donut,
- 1:25:38Chris: so it's good, but there's nothing other than the decoration.
- 1:25:44Chris: There's nothing like specifically different about its flavor. Yeah. I mean,
- 1:25:48Chris: so you're getting this strictly for a presentation reasons, right?
- 1:25:51Charles: So yeah, it's fine.
- 1:25:53Charles: No, you've almost destroyed that fucking donut dude.
- 1:25:57Charles: She did say she was hungry before we went live.
- 1:25:59Charles: Hell yeah.
- 1:26:00Charles: Hell yeah.
- 1:26:00Charles: Eat that donut.
- 1:26:01Chris: It was a hungry boy.
- 1:26:02Charles: All right.
- 1:26:04Charles: The final one.
- 1:26:04Charles: I'm a little disappointed in, in what I found.
- 1:26:08Charles: I'm not like, so I'm paying those hot tamales are awesome.
- 1:26:11Charles: Okay.
- 1:26:11Charles: No, no, no.
- 1:26:12Charles: The hot tamales are great.
- 1:26:13Charles: This one here.
- 1:26:14Charles: I was looking for the chicken and waffles Oreos that are out now, which I could not
- 1:26:21Charles: in any stores. However, I did go and get the BTS Oreos.
- 1:26:28Nora: Okay.
- 1:26:31Charles: Which we can cut to the other camera. BTS Oreos, brown sugar pancake, K-pop Oreos.
- 1:26:39Chris: So for those of you who are just listening, the BTS Oreos have a purple sandwich color,
- 1:26:45Chris: And then on one side is just the normal Oreo, but on the other side are
- 1:26:50Chris: BTS specific things so I have two cookies one says leads to us
- 1:26:55Chris: Which I assume are our lyrics and another one says our biggest voice
- 1:27:00Charles: BTS army for those who are listening who are just listening to this. I am so sorry for tasty little treats
- 1:27:08Chris: No, it's just misophonia town, all right, let's let's try these Oreos
- 1:27:18Charles: That is way too sweet.
- 1:27:23Nora: It reminds me of the s'mores flavored Oreos
- 1:27:26Nora: which were too sweet.
- 1:27:29Chris: You know what?
- 1:27:31Chris: I like it.
- 1:27:33Charles: You can have them.
- 1:27:36Chris: I like it.
- 1:27:37Chris: I don't know that it quite tastes like pancake,
- 1:27:40Chris: but it also doesn't not taste like pancake.
- 1:27:43Chris: You definitely get the brown sugar, that's for sure.
- 1:27:44Chris: I do agree with that.
- 1:27:45Chris: I get the brown sugar, I get like a maple,
- 1:27:47Charles: but it's like, that is sweet, man.
- 1:27:50Chris: It is pretty sweet, but I don't know
- 1:27:52Chris: that it's necessarily sweeter than a normal Oreo.
- 1:27:55Chris: It is.
- 1:27:56Charles: They're very sweet.
- 1:27:57Nora: It is sweeter than a normal Oreo.
- 1:27:58Chris: I mean, maybe because you have the cream
- 1:28:01Chris: plus the brown sugar.
- 1:28:02Nora: I think it's the brown sugar that makes it too sweet.
- 1:28:05Nora: I get that.
- 1:28:05Nora: 'Cause it's very sugary.
- 1:28:06Chris: It is very sugary, for sure.
- 1:28:09Chris: See, I'm not gonna sleep until next week now.
- 1:28:13Charles: The best Oreo? - I do like it though.
- 1:28:14Charles: The best Oreo? - Mm-hmm.
- 1:28:16Charles: Lemon Oreos. - Mm, they're so good.
- 1:28:18Charles: Lemon Oreos are bomb. - Mm-hmm.
- 1:28:22Charles: They're so good.
- 1:28:23Charles: I feel like I'm 100 years old being like,
- 1:28:24Nora: the lemon ones are so good!
- 1:28:26Nora: (laughing)
- 1:28:26Chris: Oh yes, yes, the lemon ones.
- 1:28:29Chris: You know what else is bomb, Charles?
- 1:28:32Chris: Your ability to segue to the end of the show.
- 1:28:35Chris: (laughing)
- 1:28:37Nora: Okay, so great news everyone.
- 1:28:39Nora: On Friday this week, we are actually all going
- 1:28:42Nora: to Lucha Libre and Laughs.
