- 0:00Speaker 1: She's on the Money. She's on the Money.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to She's on the Money, the podcast
- 0:19Speaker 2: for millennials who want financial freedom. This is another one
- 0:23Speaker 2: of our Friday Drinks episodes where we get to celebrate
- 0:26Speaker 2: the money wins from our She's on the Money community.
- 0:28Speaker 2: As you guys already know because we've said it so
- 0:31Speaker 2: many times, there are so many beautiful money wins and
- 0:33Speaker 2: confessions that are shared in our community each and.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Every single week.
- 0:37Speaker 2: And given our team genuinely spends a very big part
- 0:39Speaker 2: of our week talking about what happens in the community,
- 0:42Speaker 2: it only feels fair to share. Fridays are always about
- 0:45Speaker 2: celebrating our community and having more positive and constructive conversations
- 0:49Speaker 2: around money. So let's jump right in, Tony, what was
- 0:53Speaker 2: this week's money dorry about?
- 0:54Speaker 4: This week, we spoke to a woman. Oh a little
- 0:57Speaker 4: bit of a trigger warning here, to a woman who
- 1:00Speaker 4: who has been through a really rough time. She's gone
- 1:04Speaker 4: through multiple injuries and she suffers from Erland's disease, which
- 1:09Speaker 4: is epic.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I loved this.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11Speaker 4: So, she's had lots of challenges through her life with
- 1:14Speaker 4: a late in life diagnosis of dyslexia and erlins. So
- 1:19Speaker 4: she went to union that was really difficult and stuff
- 1:21Speaker 4: like that, and went through an abusive relationship and had
- 1:25Speaker 4: lots of debt put into her name which she hadn't
- 1:28Speaker 4: actually incurred herself. So yeah, it was a really inspirational
- 1:33Speaker 4: story to hear that she'd come through the other side.
- 1:35Speaker 4: She's just paid off all that debt. She's making eighty
- 1:37Speaker 4: eight thousand dollars a year and the job.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That she's doing making bank for herself.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and she's got a great new partner now who
- 1:45Speaker 4: loves her.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And she gets along really well with his family and stuff.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So it was a really really nice, feel good ap
- 1:51Speaker 4: of a money diary this week.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I was really impressed with her and to know
- 1:55Speaker 2: how much money she's making when you know, kind of
- 1:58Speaker 2: the odds were against.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Her alundred yes, get it.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I love this for you, Jessica Rici. What happened this
- 2:04Speaker 2: week on The Deep Dive?
- 2:06Speaker 3: This week we said, let's talk about tax baby, and
- 2:11Speaker 3: I have been singing this all week. Tony should definitely
- 2:13Speaker 3: sing that, not me, trash it.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But that's okay. It's about the enthusiasm you bring to
- 2:18Speaker 2: the table.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yes, spoiler alert, we spoke about tax which baby Baby
- 2:25Speaker 3: tax time is right around the corner, so we spoke
- 2:27Speaker 3: a little bit about the dos and don'ts, how you
- 2:29Speaker 3: can take a bit of the stress off and feel
- 2:31Speaker 3: a little bit more prepared, what you may or may
- 2:33Speaker 3: not be able to claim, and a whole bunch of
- 2:36Speaker 3: things which may be really helpful for our side hustlers
- 2:38Speaker 3: and small biz owners.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I feel like that episode was really fun as well,
- 2:42Speaker 2: and we got you on the episode this week as well.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Do this week because g King.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Has been away for her partner's birthday. But usually I
- 2:49Speaker 2: ask you what we're drinking. What are we drinking this week?
- 2:52Speaker 3: This week we're celebrating. We've got a little chink chink.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Oh, I don't like that champagne sound Ryan, you don't know, No,
- 3:00Speaker 2: don't stop it.
- 3:01Speaker 5: No, one's slightly to be more aggressive.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah that's okay, Jessica. We are drinking champagne. You are correct,
- 3:06Speaker 2: but could you please properly articulate the name of this drink.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Today we're drinking a chilled verve, not from Dan Murphy's
- 3:14Speaker 3: because if you know, you're not child verve clicko chilverve click,
- 3:18Speaker 3: it's actually the u A click it.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the one with the orange bottle the green glass.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yes, it is nast year. We didn't go
- 3:30Speaker 1: with arden, but that's okay.
- 3:32Speaker 2: No, sorry about your shard. Do you put lemonade in
- 3:35Speaker 2: your shardy?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Of course? I'm an Australian woman, Warm day.
- 3:42Speaker 3: But we're I'm the shampus because we're celebrating. We are
- 3:45Speaker 3: celebrating this week. Victoria will happens. I have don't praying.
- 3:53Speaker 3: There has been so much going on and so much
- 3:55Speaker 3: I want to share, but we're going to talk about
- 3:57Speaker 3: it a little bit later, so I'll save it for
- 3:58Speaker 3: after the break.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Okay. So from there we are going to bounce straight
- 4:02Speaker 2: to Ryan Brian John. Have you got some community money
- 4:05Speaker 2: wins to share with us?
- 4:06Speaker 6: I do, and the first one is from Taran. But
- 4:08Speaker 6: before we get into Tarran's, what's our thoughts on skinny
- 4:12Speaker 6: jeans being out and mum jeans being back in?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Nope, nope, nope, I've tried the mum jeans. I'm stuck
- 4:17Speaker 2: on skinny jeans.
- 4:18Speaker 5: I'll fight you.
- 4:19Speaker 3: They are stars.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I would like to say there's room for everyone,
- 4:24Speaker 1: like as.
- 4:24Speaker 2: If you have mum jeans on.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I love in my rooms. They're so comfortable. But I
- 4:30Speaker 3: think a skinny jean has its place. Call me like,
- 4:33Speaker 3: I hate that. I'm going to say, call you a millennial,
- 4:36Speaker 3: like call me a boomer, but sometimes this.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Is a skinny jean just makes you but look so good.
- 4:44Speaker 3: And the secret here, I should stipulate it gets the stretch.
- 4:47Speaker 3: He was like, we're not here for feeling like a
- 4:49Speaker 3: trussed up turkey. I want to be able to breathe.
- 4:53Speaker 5: And Susanna, I don't want to sound like a boom
- 4:56Speaker 5: vocals like that.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It's different.
- 5:00Speaker 6: So Taran says, I've been eyeing off some mum jeans
- 5:04Speaker 6: for a while because I'm, you know, a big step
- 5:06Speaker 6: for a millennial, skinny gene obsessed person like myself.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It must be.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Taller than me, because I'm telling you right now, I
- 5:12Speaker 2: have not found a mum jean that suits someone who
- 5:14Speaker 2: is five foot one yet. If you have, please slide
- 5:18Speaker 2: into my dear.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh, You're going to get so many messages.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Honestly, I'd be very happy to get so many messages
- 5:22Speaker 2: because I'm short and don't look good in mum jeans.
- 5:25Speaker 6: I feel like a mum jean and a pair of
- 5:26Speaker 6: your really expensive shoes would be one of the ultimate composts.
- 5:29Speaker 2: All right, thank you. I will absolutely model that for
- 5:32Speaker 2: you later.
- 5:32Speaker 1: What did she do?
- 5:33Speaker 6: Taran said, I couldn't justify spending one hundred dollars on
- 5:36Speaker 6: these mum jeans that I found, because she's like, I'm
- 5:38Speaker 6: not sure if I actually like him. I'm just kind
- 5:40Speaker 6: of seeing what the deal is. But then I found
- 5:42Speaker 6: them on Amazon this week for sixty five dollars plus
- 5:45Speaker 6: they had a promotion to get ten dollars off if
- 5:47Speaker 6: you use the app. Then it had free shipping, and
- 5:49Speaker 6: then I remembered that I had a stash of Amazon
- 5:52Speaker 6: gift cards from work as little bonuses and stuff.
- 5:54Speaker 5: And she got it down.
- 5:55Speaker 6: To zero dollars, lots of free mum jeans, and then
- 5:59Speaker 6: deleted the Amazon app off her phone so she wasn't
- 6:02Speaker 6: tempted to go again. Huge well done, Jacinta says, genius.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Total, you've been on this all day. You keep being
- 6:11Speaker 2: really punny.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Thank you, Oh cinerud.
- 6:15Speaker 6: Jacinta says, we're moving house, so I've been selling the
- 6:18Speaker 6: furniture we won't be taking. It's not much, but we've
- 6:20Speaker 6: put enough enough money that I can use money from
- 6:23Speaker 6: the old furniture to pay for the new appliances, all right,
- 6:26Speaker 6: which is genius when she says it's not a big deal.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I reckon, that's a huge win.
- 6:29Speaker 3: That's massive.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and also like doing a bit for the planet
- 6:33Speaker 4: as well, instead of just like chucking stuff out, there's
- 6:35Speaker 4: probably people that are moving out for the first time
- 6:37Speaker 4: that are getting like a bit of cheap furniture out
- 6:39Speaker 4: of it, which is like a win win for everyone.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Absolutely, Now Amanda's got to win that. I'm going to
- 6:43Speaker 6: implement in about seventeen minutes time. If you type in
- 6:46Speaker 6: pizza hut into Google, one of the first sites that
- 6:50Speaker 6: pops up is Domino's promoting thirty percent off pizzas. It
- 6:53Speaker 6: works every time. I've never paid full price for a
- 6:55Speaker 6: pizza in my life.
- 6:58Speaker 3: On the Domino's team came up with that much getting
- 7:00Speaker 3: struck amazing ten out of ten.
- 7:02Speaker 6: Well done, Absolutely, and I'm savage. You can the middle
- 7:06Speaker 6: man of pizza if you just google Dominoes.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Retaell me not they always have.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I obviously had a lot of Dominos, not the full price,
- 7:15Speaker 4: no never, Who are you a savage?
- 7:17Speaker 5: All right?
- 7:18Speaker 6: Here's another conundrum for us. How do we describe the
- 7:21Speaker 6: feeling of purchasing something and then a few weeks later
- 7:25Speaker 6: seeing that it's on sale cheaper than what.
- 7:27Speaker 5: We bought it for.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Frustrating.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Yeah, it's annoying.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Now it's frustrating, but I'm probably a little bit of
- 7:33Speaker 2: a Debbie downer. If it was in your budget, you
- 7:35Speaker 2: shouldn't be worried. You should still be looking at it.
- 7:37Speaker 5: We still want to win, Like you said, you still.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Want the win. But if you decided that you weren't
- 7:41Speaker 2: going to wait for a sale, then you accepted the
- 7:44Speaker 2: non sale price.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I'm hoping this win's going to be something we've spoken about.
- 7:47Speaker 2: So I'm being like an absolute not very nice person
- 7:50Speaker 2: about a trust up turkey.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so, Karen says, store credit wins.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Karen, well, wait for it.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Bought a table from Freedom Furniture for one thousand, two
- 8:02Speaker 6: hundred dollars.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Oh that's an expensive table. I'd be annoyed about it too.
- 8:05Speaker 6: Then got to make everything back, then got an email
- 8:07Speaker 6: about it being advertised for eight hundred dollars, which is
- 8:10Speaker 6: four hundred cheaper, and she goes, I know Freedom is
- 8:12Speaker 6: super strict with their refund policy, but I thought it
- 8:15Speaker 6: was worth enos.
- 8:15Speaker 5: So what did Karen do? She asked talk to them,
- 8:17Speaker 5: who told them?
- 8:19Speaker 6: But it worked out The person who entered the phone said, yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 6: that does sound a bit unfair, especially as we haven't
- 8:23Speaker 6: even delivered it yet. So instead of giving the four
- 8:25Speaker 6: hundred dollars back, which they couldn't do, she got a
- 8:27Speaker 6: four hundred dollars store credit.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Oh, still spend the money there. That's so smart from
- 8:32Speaker 4: freedom as well.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Well, she's now getting something for free. I like that.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So many people have said though, that when they've had
- 8:38Speaker 3: that happen to them, like they've seen something go on
- 8:40Speaker 3: sale not too long after they purchased it, that they've
- 8:42Speaker 3: just gotten in touch with the company and been like, hey,
- 8:44Speaker 3: are you able to refund the difference. A lot of
- 8:46Speaker 3: the time people say, hey, like if it's within returns period,
- 8:49Speaker 3: like you can either refund it or I'm going to
- 8:51Speaker 3: return it and get it cheaper anyway, And they say yes.
- 8:54Speaker 6: And so they should, and I think they get it.
- 8:55Speaker 6: They're like, oh, we're helping our customers. Everyone's a winner.
- 8:57Speaker 6: They get a good experience with us.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Like people the end of the phone of humans too.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Yeah, nice when you ask.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:03Speaker 4: And but Victoria and I were talking about this the
- 9:05Speaker 4: other day that when you do call someone, you're not
- 9:09Speaker 4: talking to the owner of freedom. You're not talking to
- 9:12Speaker 4: mister Toyota like, you're talking just to a person who
- 9:15Speaker 4: probably also just like wants to save the four hundred bucks,
- 9:18Speaker 4: so you might as well call them. It costs nothing
- 9:20Speaker 4: to ring apart from my local call.
- 9:23Speaker 5: That's all the thing. I don't know.
- 9:26Speaker 3: How much TD or is that?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Oh that's different thing.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a different podcast. Paul Lett says, money win.
- 9:32Speaker 6: I entered two competitions on Instagram and one two fifty
- 9:36Speaker 6: dollars vouchers. Now I'm off to Lioness and Glasson's for
- 9:39Speaker 6: some new outfits.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Oh how lucky is she to have gotten not one
- 9:43Speaker 2: but two?
- 9:43Speaker 3: I know, the same competition, different competitions.
- 9:47Speaker 1: There you go.
- 9:48Speaker 2: That's a lot of luck.
- 9:49Speaker 1: The other week, I enter competitions on Instagram all the time.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I never win anything.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Really.
- 9:55Speaker 2: We have a family friend who literally enters competitions, and
- 9:58Speaker 2: I think she started when she was regnant, just at
- 10:00Speaker 2: home started Matt Lee was a bit bored. She's won everything, literally,
- 10:05Speaker 2: TVs fridges, a trip to Hawaii one time, just.
- 10:08Speaker 1: For some people are lucky.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Last time I remember I watched like a current a
- 10:13Speaker 3: fair episode or something like back in the day on
- 10:15Speaker 3: People who do it, like almost as a job. Like
- 10:17Speaker 3: just any competition they can get their hands on, they
- 10:19Speaker 3: will enter, and like statistically they win like a heap
- 10:21Speaker 3: of stuff because they're just entering so much.
- 10:23Speaker 6: Can we do a thread in the group about stuff
- 10:25Speaker 6: you've won? Doesn't matter I've done that before. I don't know,
- 10:28Speaker 6: but I'd like it doesn't matter how big or how small.
- 10:31Speaker 6: In fact, i'd actually find it quite funny to see
- 10:33Speaker 6: the small little wins you've got to.
- 10:35Speaker 5: I reckon there'll be a lot of it.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But I also want someone to one day go, oh,
- 10:37Speaker 2: I want a million dollars from a scratchy like, tell
- 10:40Speaker 2: me about it if you're comfortable sharing that.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Obviously, how blind are you?
- 10:45Speaker 1: What do you mean drunk?
- 10:46Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I've had a glass of champagne.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Your speech all right, Mick Mickey says, gotta love Facebook
- 10:54Speaker 6: Marketplace and this is the last one, so just the
- 10:56Speaker 6: little nod to Jess over there, appreciate it. I sold
- 10:58Speaker 6: a suit on Facebook market Place as it didn't fit
- 11:01Speaker 6: me anymore. And I was you said soup.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Jess here talking about trust up turkeys.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Tony's talking about soup, and I get in trouble for
- 11:13Speaker 2: stumbling over your word.
- 11:14Speaker 6: I sold some soup on Facebook Marketplace because I didn't
- 11:16Speaker 6: fit it anymore.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I was done eating my soup.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Anymore.
- 11:23Speaker 6: So Nikki said, they didn't fit anymore, but she wanted
- 11:25Speaker 6: a new suit to replace it. She's thought, I sold
- 11:27Speaker 6: one on Facebook mark Place, may as well look there
- 11:29Speaker 6: as well. She said, I found one that I really
- 11:31Speaker 6: really loved and it was actually less than what I
- 11:34Speaker 6: sold my force. So not only do I now have
- 11:36Speaker 6: a suit that fits, but I had a little bit
- 11:37Speaker 6: of extra change as well.
- 11:39Speaker 2: She made money win.
- 11:40Speaker 3: That's huge.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Well, Nikki, let's go to a quick break then, and
- 11:43Speaker 2: we'll talk after the break about that. She's on the
- 11:45Speaker 2: Money team wins the book News and Jessica, I believe
- 11:49Speaker 2: you have a very exciting follow up follow our community members.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Don't go anywhere.
- 11:54Speaker 7: It's a good one, all right.
- 12:04Speaker 2: We are back, and because we are very kind people,
- 12:07Speaker 2: we're just going to jump automatically to the most exciting thing.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Jess you have a follow up from one of our
- 12:12Speaker 2: She's on the Money community members that you want to share.
- 12:14Speaker 3: What is it I do? So, anyone who listened to
- 12:17Speaker 3: last week's Friday episode, one of the things we spoke
- 12:20Speaker 3: about from the community was a post from our friend Jacqueline,
- 12:23Speaker 3: who had been offered a redundancy. She'd been working at
- 12:26Speaker 3: her company for a really long time and she liked
- 12:29Speaker 3: the company, right, and that was the thing. She was like,
- 12:31Speaker 3: it's a really sizable redundancy because I think she'd been
- 12:34Speaker 3: there for close to ten years or over ten.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like nearly ten years.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was pretty it was going to be
- 12:39Speaker 3: pretty sizable. But she liked her team, she liked her role,
- 12:42Speaker 3: and she was like, oh, I don't know what to do.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And that thread had over two hundred comments of people
- 12:46Speaker 3: throwing in their two cents, and obviously we spoke about it.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Well.
- 12:49Speaker 3: She sent us a message which I was so excited about,
- 12:52Speaker 3: and she said, Hey, team, I listened to the Friday
- 12:55Speaker 3: episode and I was super excited to hear about my posts.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Just thought i'd share an update with you. I decided
- 13:00Speaker 3: to take this once in a lifetime opportunity and take
- 13:02Speaker 3: the plan.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I'm so excited to hear that.
- 13:06Speaker 3: So she took the redundancy. It turns out that there's
- 13:08Speaker 3: going to be an organizational restructure, so her like current
- 13:12Speaker 3: job that she loves, won't look exactly the same after that.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Imagine saying no to a redundancy and then finding out
- 13:18Speaker 6: that your rolls a bit different now and then you
- 13:20Speaker 6: don't like.
- 13:22Speaker 2: That would suck.
- 13:22Speaker 3: So it's really lucky. I think that they obviously gave
- 13:24Speaker 3: her all that information, and she said she felt really
- 13:26Speaker 3: empowered thanks to all of the comments and feedback that
- 13:29Speaker 3: everyone gave her. So if anyone was wondering what was happening, Jacqueline,
- 13:33Speaker 3: we're proud of you. So I'm very excited.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Did she say how much? No, she didn't business. It's
- 13:42Speaker 5: none of our business. But you can't say you're not caring.
- 13:44Speaker 4: In the original post, it actually said that it would
- 13:45Speaker 4: cover like two years at worth of her current salary,
- 13:49Speaker 4: which is massive.
- 13:51Speaker 2: She earned like sixty grand. She'd be looking at a
- 13:54Speaker 2: redundancy payout of like one hundred and twenty thousand dollars.
- 13:56Speaker 7: What that's like six figures easy?
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah, And she said she had until October for the
- 14:01Speaker 3: redundancy to actually kick in, so she has heaps of
- 14:03Speaker 3: lead time to find herself something. Oh gosh, it just
- 14:06Speaker 3: sounds like really the most ideal situation she could have.
- 14:08Speaker 2: As I can't wait, Jacqueline, can you please give us
- 14:11Speaker 2: an update on your new job and whether you love
- 14:13Speaker 2: it and what you did and how it was, Like,
- 14:14Speaker 2: we're going to check in literally, Jaqueline, how many jobs
- 14:20Speaker 2: do you apply for this week? No, I absolutely love that,
- 14:23Speaker 2: And I think it's really special that the community one
- 14:26Speaker 2: hears their posts on this episode and loves hearing it,
- 14:30Speaker 2: but two actually is generous enough to share their follow
- 14:33Speaker 2: ups with us, Like how special that they actually go, Hey, guys,
- 14:37Speaker 2: I know you're invested in this because we genuinely are.
- 14:40Speaker 3: We're so invested you have no idea.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And I bet everyone listening is probably like, I wonder
- 14:44Speaker 4: what Jacqueline did like.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And I mean you might have forgotten in the moment,
- 14:48Speaker 2: but the second Jes said Okay, remember Jacqueline for last week, Everyone's.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Like ding ding ding.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, I do. I love that.
- 14:55Speaker 4: And as exciting as that is, Jacqueline hasn't written a book,
- 14:58Speaker 4: so I feel we need to talk about Miss Victoria
- 15:02Speaker 4: to fine.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Hello, So something super exciting happened this week.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Book came and you guys knew that because we mentioned
- 15:10Speaker 2: at the start of the episode. But I'm glad that
- 15:12Speaker 2: we want to talk about it more because I'm genuinely
- 15:14Speaker 2: so excited about it and that she's on the money.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Community has been so kind and tagged us in so
- 15:19Speaker 2: many things.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's been popping off.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, we wearing number one best seller on Amazon, like.
- 15:24Speaker 1: What on the day it came out.
- 15:25Speaker 2: On the day it came out, And that wasn't even
- 15:28Speaker 2: the platform that did the pre orders, guys, that was
- 15:30Speaker 2: booked Hopia, which we are also a best seller on,
- 15:32Speaker 2: and that is also wild.
- 15:35Speaker 3: So hower of the community is crazy, and almost so
- 15:37Speaker 3: many people are yeah, as you said, sending us photos
- 15:40Speaker 3: and messages and just being so incredibly kind. I don't
- 15:43Speaker 3: think they realize how much that means to us as
- 15:45Speaker 3: a team, but you especially be because I know how
- 15:47Speaker 3: much love and just literal hours and tears went into
- 15:51Speaker 3: this book.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I've seen it and even this week, like all I've
- 15:54Speaker 2: done is cry every single time I see a post
- 15:57Speaker 2: like it's not good. Just made this sappy video of me.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I love the sappy video.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I loved it too.
- 16:04Speaker 5: The music of it just sucked me right.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yes, I was real cheeky. I put up a post
- 16:09Speaker 3: last week it was like Victoria cried, do you want
- 16:11Speaker 3: to see it? And everyone said yes, And I was
- 16:13Speaker 3: like for the people want it. I already promised at
- 16:18Speaker 3: that time.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I don't think I even knew that you were filming me.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I was just like skitzing down the hall to get
- 16:22Speaker 2: this book because I'd been waiting for this delivery. And
- 16:25Speaker 2: I remember the entire week I think our delivery was delayed, yes,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and I had been checking the mailbox and like I remember,
- 16:32Speaker 2: there was like the day before we got a different
- 16:35Speaker 2: parcel and I thought it was that and.
- 16:37Speaker 1: We all sprinted down the hall, down the hall.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I'm like, it's here, and then it was just like
- 16:42Speaker 2: one of my online shopping orders, and you guys.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Were like, oh, come on.
- 16:48Speaker 2: And then when it came, it was really really fun.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I think it's, you know, really surreal to see something
- 16:53Speaker 2: come to life that you know, I've been talking about
- 16:56Speaker 2: for two years. And you know, if you've been in
- 16:58Speaker 2: the Sheese on the Money commune since I got my
- 17:01Speaker 2: first book deal, which is why you would have seen
- 17:03Speaker 2: me drop hints along the way and say things like, yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 2: there's actually a book coming and you know it's.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Not really a hint.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yeah it wasn't a hint. But at that time, now
- 17:14Speaker 2: She's on the Money Facebook group was small. It wasn't this,
- 17:17Speaker 2: you know, absolute bohemoth that it's grown to. And you know,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I think if you go back, you'll start seeing comments
- 17:23Speaker 2: like oh yeah, it's coming, like don't worry, and people
- 17:25Speaker 2: were checking in and I get messages over the last
- 17:27Speaker 2: twelve months from people saying, hey, I think I read
- 17:30Speaker 2: that you had a book coming out. Is that coming out?
- 17:32Speaker 2: And I'd be like, oh my gosh, yes, it's taking ages,
- 17:34Speaker 2: like it actually takes so much longer to write than
- 17:36Speaker 2: I ever anticipated it would. And you know, I'm not
- 17:40Speaker 2: someone who could dedicate myself full time to being an
- 17:43Speaker 2: author and writing and you know, every single time. And
- 17:46Speaker 2: I'm sure my editor, Isy, who was delightful, like I
- 17:50Speaker 2: cannot tell you how good she is as a human,
- 17:52Speaker 2: let alone a publisher, but the amount of times had
- 17:55Speaker 2: to go hay ezy, you know how I was writing
- 17:57Speaker 2: that book. Yes, so I actually have another chapter I
- 18:00Speaker 2: want to add, and she'd be like, okay, no problem.
- 18:02Speaker 5: So what is it?
- 18:03Speaker 2: How does it work? Because at the start of the
- 18:05Speaker 2: book writing process, you do this skeleton for them to
- 18:07Speaker 2: sign off, and you say, okay, here's the skeleton of
- 18:10Speaker 2: the book, and here are the chapters I want to produce.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And I'll, you know, do it this way, and they say, yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 2: no problems, go air, do that, and then you know,
- 18:17Speaker 2: I think at the start I had fifteen chapters and
- 18:18Speaker 2: we've ended up with like twenty two wars, and I
- 18:22Speaker 2: keep shuffling the round and changing them and going, hey,
- 18:24Speaker 2: so insurance, Yeah, I want a whole heap more on that,
- 18:27Speaker 2: or heyte tax, yes it's updated since I started writing it.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I need to edit that entire chapter. So it has
- 18:33Speaker 2: been a ride, but a very very fun one. And
- 18:36Speaker 2: I cannot tell you how proud I am of creating this.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And it's not just writing the book, it's then spending
- 18:42Speaker 2: I think, just how many days did I spend in
- 18:43Speaker 2: audio recording?
- 18:44Speaker 3: Like, ah, easily over a week?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it was close to two weeks with Gregor, who
- 18:50Speaker 2: was our audio producer for the book.
- 18:52Speaker 3: What a name, by the way, Gregor?
- 18:53Speaker 2: He was so cool.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Is that is he terrifying? I feel it's a terrifying name.
- 18:57Speaker 2: No, but he had a goth band.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Well that's it.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Yeah, then he was so cool.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Anyway, So I spent more than a week with Gregor,
- 19:04Speaker 2: just like recording for full days getting that done, and
- 19:08Speaker 2: you know, listening back to every single sentence to make
- 19:11Speaker 2: sure it sounded right and it did the right thing.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And I think we've come up with I think it's
- 19:15Speaker 2: close to six hours of audio content.
- 19:17Speaker 5: On the audio and the audiobook comes out same like
- 19:19Speaker 5: it's out as well.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That's too in terms of accessibility. There's the audiobook and
- 19:23Speaker 3: there's an ebook.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, there's an audiobook, there's the ebook, there's the physical book.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I am genuinely so excited.
- 19:28Speaker 6: So what's going to be the main thing? Like, what's
- 19:31Speaker 6: the main reason someone would buy it? I mean, I
- 19:33Speaker 6: know that's a simple question, but what's in it?
- 19:35Speaker 5: What are we going to learn?
- 19:36Speaker 6: People are really into their finances. They love listening to
- 19:38Speaker 6: the podcast what's in the book?
- 19:39Speaker 2: So it obviously goes beyond the podcast, But it's everything
- 19:43Speaker 2: I talk about, Like I share with you my banking structure.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I talk to you about how to budget and how
- 19:48Speaker 2: to save and not just I guess flimsy saying here's
- 19:51Speaker 2: how to create a budget. It's like, hey' is how
- 19:53Speaker 2: to create a budget. Here's how to stick to it.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Here are the bank accounts you should set up, and
- 19:57Speaker 2: here's how you should put each and every single dollar
- 19:59Speaker 2: to work so that it actually happens as opposed to
- 20:02Speaker 2: you setting up a budget and then forgetting about the spreadsheets,
- 20:05Speaker 2: saving it on your desktop, and then twelve months later
- 20:07Speaker 2: when you're emptying your desktop, you're like, oh, oh, oh, yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 2: that's weird. Forgot, I decided to do budgeting for a week.
- 20:14Speaker 2: So it's all about tangible change. It will come as
- 20:17Speaker 2: a surprise to nobody that my first chapter is on
- 20:20Speaker 2: money stories and the importance of money stories. And I
- 20:24Speaker 2: think my favorite part of the book is actually the
- 20:27Speaker 2: money stories that are woven throughout the whole thing. So
- 20:30Speaker 2: each and every single chapter has money stories from aushes
- 20:33Speaker 2: on the money community associated with it that actually become
- 20:36Speaker 2: relatable and real and actually differentiate this book from being
- 20:41Speaker 2: just a hey, here's how to budget. It's like, hey,
- 20:43Speaker 2: here's how to budget, but also here's this really beautiful
- 20:45Speaker 2: example of how someone has done that and changed their
- 20:48Speaker 2: entire life because of the advice the podcast has shared.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So it's genuinely my favorite thing knowing that we've impacted
- 20:56Speaker 2: financial futures already, and I just I feel like this
- 20:58Speaker 2: is a step in the right direction because so many
- 21:01Speaker 2: times people have said, oh my gosh, Victoria, I've recommended
- 21:04Speaker 2: someone to listen to your podcast they really need to.
- 21:06Speaker 2: And now it's that like tangible thing that if somebody
- 21:09Speaker 2: genuinely needs the help, you can hand it to them
- 21:11Speaker 2: physically and go, hey, here's the next step. Here's what
- 21:14Speaker 2: I'm gifting you. And it's like, I don't know, it's
- 21:17Speaker 2: just something that's I've worked on really hard to be
- 21:20Speaker 2: non judgmental and actually be about tangible change as opposed
- 21:24Speaker 2: to just going, hey, here's here's a budget, surface level stuff.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Yeah it's not surface level. It's like, hey, here's how
- 21:30Speaker 2: to dive deep and make sure that you would create
- 21:33Speaker 2: the financial stability that you deserve, as opposed to, hey,
- 21:36Speaker 2: if you want to own your own house, because that's
- 21:38Speaker 2: not everybody's goal. If it is, great, the book's going
- 21:40Speaker 2: to help you get there. But if you have different goals.
- 21:43Speaker 2: It absolutely embraces that. If you want kids, great, I
- 21:46Speaker 2: talk about the costs of them, but also if you don't,
- 21:49Speaker 2: I talk about how to deal with that. And I
- 21:51Speaker 2: think it's just you know, everybody has a different journey,
- 21:54Speaker 2: and I want that book to be on all of
- 21:56Speaker 2: your journeys, and I think that that's actually possible, which
- 21:58Speaker 2: is really cool.
- 22:00Speaker 6: So I know, like the term one stop shop is
- 22:02Speaker 6: like such a cliche, but doesn't really matter what stage
- 22:06Speaker 6: of your financial journey you are, Like you said, if
- 22:08Speaker 6: you're having kids, not having kids, if you're a student,
- 22:09Speaker 6: if you're a bit older, doesn't matter who you are.
- 22:11Speaker 5: It's got you covered.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It's the basic principles. So it's the things that you
- 22:15Speaker 2: need as a foundation to always go back to. So
- 22:18Speaker 2: whether you are sixteen and you haven't got your first
- 22:20Speaker 2: job yet and you've been thinking about it and you
- 22:22Speaker 2: don't know what bank accounts to open, I'm sure you
- 22:24Speaker 2: could learn something. And then if you are fifty and
- 22:27Speaker 2: you are in a situation where you're like, oh, what's
- 22:29Speaker 2: retirement look like? I really all feels overwhelming, Like I
- 22:32Speaker 2: feel like there's going to be something for everybody while
- 22:36Speaker 2: still being enough information and not being you know, too overwhelming.
- 22:40Speaker 3: It's probably worth noting. I know you said that you
- 22:42Speaker 3: cover a lot, but it's not just budget. You go
- 22:45Speaker 3: over everything. You go over.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Property, cash flow, investing.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Superannuation, a whole. Like if you can think of a
- 22:53Speaker 3: financial topic, there's a good chance it's covered in there.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Like there's really.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Absolutely it's all the way through. So it's like everything
- 23:00Speaker 2: from you understanding your money journey and your money story
- 23:03Speaker 2: all the way through to what retirement would look like.
- 23:06Speaker 2: And then we've also done an additional entire chapter on
- 23:09Speaker 2: how to implement that over twelve months. So we break
- 23:12Speaker 2: down then the entire book and give you an actionable
- 23:15Speaker 2: guide to creating financial change over twelve months. Instead of
- 23:19Speaker 2: just hey, well now you've got the book, go away
- 23:21Speaker 2: and do it, it's like, no, this is what you're
- 23:23Speaker 2: going to do in month one, and this is what
- 23:24Speaker 2: month two looks like, so that in twelve months you
- 23:27Speaker 2: actually end up in a better position.
- 23:29Speaker 3: That's so exciting. Keep Taggis in your photos. We're sharing
- 23:33Speaker 3: as many as we can. I'm loving seeing them. And
- 23:35Speaker 3: if it's not in your budget right now to purchase
- 23:38Speaker 3: the book. Something that someone shared in the comments on
- 23:40Speaker 3: something that we thought was so awesome was that they
- 23:43Speaker 3: actually reserved the book at their local library. And it
- 23:46Speaker 3: was really cool because one girl said, oh my gosh,
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm so excited I've reserved it and I'm third in
- 23:51Speaker 3: line to get the book, which is cool, which is cool,
- 23:54Speaker 3: And then somebody responded to that and said, oh my gosh,
- 23:56Speaker 3: you're so lucky. I'm number was it fifty nine, Yeah,
- 24:00Speaker 3: which is insane.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Yes, so like just a book for it.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I think it's like two weeks. And to be honest,
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm I'm a slow reader, so it definitely would have
- 24:10Speaker 2: taken me more than two weeks to read this book.
- 24:12Speaker 5: But so good luck to that girl who's fifty ninth.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Actually, Jess and I replied to the comment, said, who's
- 24:17Speaker 2: your library? Because if there are fifty nine people at
- 24:19Speaker 2: that library or that want that book, I will definitely
- 24:21Speaker 2: send them more copies so that they can get through
- 24:23Speaker 2: it quicker.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but you should be so so proud of yourself
- 24:26Speaker 4: because it's been really exciting seeing how much love everyone
- 24:30Speaker 4: has for you and how much excitement there's been for
- 24:33Speaker 4: the book. And we're approving every single post about the
- 24:36Speaker 4: book that's going into the group and spamming everybody.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Bridget who manages that, keeps saying like, oh, is that
- 24:41Speaker 2: all right if we you know, prove.
- 24:43Speaker 1: We're like, yeah, put them all in, put them all in,
- 24:45Speaker 1: put them all in.
- 24:45Speaker 2: And then Tony keeps saying like Victoria, we're we're gonna
- 24:48Speaker 2: spam you. We're going to report it for being self promotional,
- 24:51Speaker 2: and then like do it, do it? Do it do it,
- 24:54Speaker 2: but I think it's really fun. And to be honest,
- 24:55Speaker 2: I have felt so wrapped up in love and so
- 24:58Speaker 2: supported and so just honestly proud, Like it is overwhelming
- 25:02Speaker 2: how much support we have had. Like, you know, I
- 25:05Speaker 2: knew that our community was supportive, I just didn't know
- 25:08Speaker 2: what that would look like when we launched a book.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And it's been honestly so beautiful, and you know, it
- 25:15Speaker 2: just reminds us that we're doing the right thing, and
- 25:17Speaker 2: we're in the right place. And you know, this team
- 25:19Speaker 2: I've created and the right people to be guiding that,
- 25:22Speaker 2: and the community has the right people in it to
- 25:24Speaker 2: be growing it and getting our message of financial literacy
- 25:27Speaker 2: out there. And I just honestly can't wait to see
- 25:29Speaker 2: what the next ten years looks like once this book
- 25:31Speaker 2: is in people's hot little hands. So yeah, but do
- 25:35Speaker 2: you know what else is exciting about Friday Drinks is
- 25:38Speaker 2: money wins and confessions from my team. Yes, I mean
- 25:42Speaker 2: it's hard to you sounded so enthusiastic.
- 25:44Speaker 4: It's hard to come off the back of you, you know,
- 25:47Speaker 4: writing a book.
- 25:48Speaker 5: And what did you do? Oh yeah, I saved on
- 25:51Speaker 5: my sushi?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah how about that?
- 25:55Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, look, it's not great, but maybe I won't. No,
- 25:59Speaker 2: I haven't got a money win.
- 26:01Speaker 1: What's my Yeah, I think yours is you can pass
- 26:06Speaker 1: that top.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Very long money win. Jess, what have you got? Because
- 26:10Speaker 2: you sounded most disciplined having to follow that.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I do have a win. It's nothing crazy. Like our
- 26:17Speaker 3: friend Nikki earlier, I too have been selling more things
- 26:20Speaker 3: on Facebook Marketplace while Melbourne was in lockdown. I just
- 26:23Speaker 3: did a big clear out of my stuff that had
- 26:26Speaker 3: accumulated and so satisfying, so satisfying, and I just had
- 26:29Speaker 3: a bunch of things that I was like, oh, like
- 26:32Speaker 3: I'm going to chuck it out or I'm going to donate it,
- 26:34Speaker 3: and I was like, no, you know what, like I'm
- 26:35Speaker 3: just going to list it once lockdown ended on marketplace
- 26:39Speaker 3: for like ten dollars for a little group of things
- 26:41Speaker 3: and I ended up making a hundred bucks a hundred dollars. Yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 3: just like little color, you're selling gold like little groups
- 26:48Speaker 3: of things, Like had a set of like brand new
- 26:50Speaker 3: baking item like and I was just grouping things together.
- 26:54Speaker 3: I feel like at some point we should do like
- 26:56Speaker 3: a top tips for selling on marketplace.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, Jess is short course on how to
- 27:03Speaker 2: be mogul and manifest.
- 27:06Speaker 1: It's Jess's second job.
- 27:09Speaker 6: You're going to throw those out. But someone else manifested
- 27:11Speaker 6: some cooking.
- 27:14Speaker 3: And it was just nice to, Yeah, a little bit
- 27:15Speaker 3: of a circular economy, like that's going to someone who's
- 27:17Speaker 3: going to use it. I got rid of some clutter.
- 27:19Speaker 3: I made a little bit bit of extra cash, and
- 27:20Speaker 3: then when I needed to buy something that weekend, that cash.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Paid for it, which was, yeah, Tony, what have you
- 27:28Speaker 2: got to bring to the table this week?
- 27:29Speaker 1: So my boyfriend a win. I've got a win, have
- 27:33Speaker 1: a win.
- 27:33Speaker 4: My boyfriend and I have recently set up a budget
- 27:36Speaker 4: and opened up bank accounts and all of that, and
- 27:39Speaker 4: we're all in the right place and we're sorting out
- 27:41Speaker 4: all of our stuff, and we've managed to put away
- 27:45Speaker 4: every month like twenty dollars for our electricity bill, thirty
- 27:49Speaker 4: dollars for our red Joel and stuff, so that when
- 27:51Speaker 4: the bill comes up. And it was really satisfying because
- 27:53Speaker 4: this week my red Joe came and I could just
- 27:55Speaker 4: pay it. I wasn't like, what have I done? Like
- 27:58Speaker 4: now my Reghoe's here again.
- 28:00Speaker 7: I was like, I can pay this money.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And it just felt so grown up.
- 28:06Speaker 2: That though. Honestly, how empowering is it when you know
- 28:10Speaker 2: that that isn't a stressor anymore?
- 28:13Speaker 4: And just when I saw the Vic Rhodes envelope in
- 28:15Speaker 4: the mailbox, I.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Wasn't like far out, what have I done? Yeah, I
- 28:21Speaker 1: was just like I was just like, yeah, take this.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Big roads, I'm ready for you.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But yeah, to like pay with cash and not be like, oh,
- 28:30Speaker 4: I've got to pop that on the credit card or
- 28:32Speaker 4: take money out of our savings because we don't have
- 28:34Speaker 4: enough cash at the moment or whatever. So it was
- 28:36Speaker 4: just really satisfying and just made you made me feel awesome.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I love so that's yeah, like that's what we want,
- 28:43Speaker 2: That's exactly what we want, And I love that so much. Ryan,
- 28:46Speaker 2: What have you got?
- 28:48Speaker 5: Mine's a win?
- 28:49Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, have we got wins all around?
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's still not as good as Victorias.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Like that makes how win even better?
- 28:58Speaker 6: So this it sounds like a bit of a weird
- 29:00Speaker 6: humble brag, but this win starts with a mistake, right.
- 29:03Speaker 6: So I was listening to the tax episode the Victoria
- 29:06Speaker 6: and Jess, you guys did fun and you were talking
- 29:08Speaker 6: about how some people with their own businesses they set
- 29:10Speaker 6: money aside for tax. It's not as simple as just
- 29:12Speaker 6: getting your return. You actually have to think ahead and go, oh,
- 29:15Speaker 6: I might actually have to pay some money. So I've
- 29:18Speaker 6: been putting money away into a separate account, which I
- 29:20Speaker 6: assume all that money is going to go to the
- 29:23Speaker 6: tax man.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Well prepared, good job, thank you.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what we want. We don't want you
- 29:28Speaker 2: to get to tax time and not have money set aside,
- 29:30Speaker 2: so you end up getting stung or have a really
- 29:32Speaker 2: big tax deck because, as we know from I think
- 29:35Speaker 2: it's next week's money Diarist, tax deck is scary and
- 29:39Speaker 2: feels really overwhelming and is just awful to have to
- 29:42Speaker 2: go through.
- 29:42Speaker 6: Well, anytime a government body sends you a letter saying
- 29:45Speaker 6: you owe us, it's.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Terrify, Yeah, terify that blank envelope.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Yea.
- 29:50Speaker 6: So my mistake was is that I've actually sent too
- 29:54Speaker 6: much money to my tax account. So I reckon, I'm
- 29:57Speaker 6: way like, I did some rough numbers and like I said,
- 30:00Speaker 6: listen to the tax episode and went, oh, it's probably
- 30:01Speaker 6: going to be here and looks like this on way ahead. Yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 6: it's sort of like my own tax return that I
- 30:07Speaker 6: already have.
- 30:08Speaker 4: If so, is that why Earlier this week, you posted
- 30:11Speaker 4: on I think we're going to go on a holiday.
- 30:13Speaker 1: We did the numbers and you're like, here.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I see why you've booked a holiday.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Well, I've booked it.
- 30:18Speaker 6: Well, we're our travel more than twenty five kilometers from
- 30:21Speaker 6: our house and we're going on a big one hour
- 30:23Speaker 6: road trip all the way to Phillippi.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I love that, though, and I think that that's something
- 30:30Speaker 2: that Melbourneans have been through recently. Like that happened to me,
- 30:33Speaker 2: and I'm not counting it as a money loss or
- 30:35Speaker 2: a money win. I just it is what it is.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Like I had to cancel a holiday and I was
- 30:39Speaker 2: actually meant to be away this week and it was
- 30:42Speaker 2: going to be beautiful, but you know, COVID happened again,
- 30:45Speaker 2: another lockdown happened again, and I had to cancel it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: But it's funny how dynamic we are and how easily
- 30:51Speaker 2: I was able to go, yeah, okay, we just have
- 30:53Speaker 2: to cancel that. That is what it is.
- 30:55Speaker 1: We've had to become quite resilient, haven't we.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I think if you told me two years ago, hey, Victoria,
- 31:00Speaker 2: we're you gonna have to cancel a holiday, I would
- 31:02Speaker 2: have been heartbroken. I would have just been so upset
- 31:05Speaker 2: because I've been looking forward to it. And whilst I
- 31:07Speaker 2: definitely was looking forward to it, I was kind of like, yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 2: I should have seen that one coming.
- 31:10Speaker 1: That's all right, we'll just do it and I'll go
- 31:12Speaker 1: a different time.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's weird, right, Yeah.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Can I do a pre emptive money win? Yeah? Yeah,
- 31:17Speaker 5: it will be a money.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Win when we sell all the equipment we bought when
- 31:20Speaker 6: we're in lockdown, with the home microphones and all the
- 31:22Speaker 6: setup now that we don't need them anymore.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I would love to say yes, but we had Amy,
- 31:27Speaker 2: who is our co host of the Property Playbook. She
- 31:31Speaker 2: went and sold all of her at home podcasting stuff
- 31:33Speaker 2: and then we had that snap lockdown again and we
- 31:35Speaker 2: had to go and I were so, do you have
- 31:38Speaker 2: that home podcasting here?
- 31:39Speaker 3: And she was like, no, of course not.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I sold it all because we're not in lockdown anymore.
- 31:43Speaker 2: And I was like, you know how we're all going
- 31:44Speaker 2: into lockdown again. She's like, oh, go by exactly what
- 31:47Speaker 2: I have.
- 31:48Speaker 3: I was gonna say, don't get ahead of yourself, because
- 31:51Speaker 3: as we've seen, you just don't know.
- 31:53Speaker 6: It appears my fun future money win is a bit
- 31:55Speaker 6: of a saw point you.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Could probably get rid of a significant part of it.
- 31:59Speaker 2: But as a podcast, are you best believe D's be
- 32:02Speaker 2: ready not have a microphone at home because I'm not
- 32:05Speaker 2: missing a Friday Drinks episode.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Come on now, Absolutely not, absolutely not. By the way,
- 32:10Speaker 5: you need to give me my road caster.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Back, are already sold on good Chat.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Let's wrap the show. I think that's all we've got
- 32:17Speaker 2: time for today. So just before we head off, we'd
- 32:20Speaker 2: like to acknowledge and pay respect to Australia's Aboriginal and
- 32:23Speaker 2: tourist straight islander people's. They're the traditional custodians of the lands,
- 32:28Speaker 2: the waterways and the skies all across Australia. We thank
- 32:31Speaker 2: you for sharing and for caring for the land on
- 32:33Speaker 2: which we are able to learn. We pay our respects
- 32:36Speaker 2: to elders past and present, and we share our friendship
- 32:38Speaker 2: and our kindness.
- 32:39Speaker 4: The advice shared on Shees on the Money is general
