The Lifetime Ban of George Steinbrenner
On this episode we look at George Steinbrenner's 1990 ban from baseball after he paid a con-man to dig up dirt on Dave Winfield. We also talk about how the ban and the strict no-contact rules allowed the Yankees' front office to preserve young players and build the core that later won multiple championships. Finally, we discuss whether the ban ultimately helped or harmed the franchise and Steinbrenner's legacy.
