- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Now let's jump in.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: All right, on this episode of the Loop Podcast, oh my gosh, I have Kate Gordon here, and she is not only become a dear friend, but she's part of the loop community.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: She is the founder of B Body Connections, and she's a holistic wellness practice outside of Chicago.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: She's a certified bio, I have to say this right, bioenergetics, which we get into today.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: And she's a master of practitioner of NLP and gut health, and specifically trained in restorative wellness solutions.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: We had a great time.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: We talked about peptides, we talked about her journey.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: You know, I find that a lot of us, when you have a passion or you create a business, it becomes, it comes out of a place of pain or just a place of wanting to pivot or do something different.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: And so Kate shares a beautiful story of how she went from a boutique owner and, you know, helping, uh, what is she, an event planner to having going back to school and now having her own practice.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: And she's part of Loop and she went through our coaching certificates.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: We talk about peptides, we talk about gut health, we talk about being a middle-aged woman, we talk about pivoting, we talk about poop, we talk about it all in this episode.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: It's a great one.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: So no further ado, let's welcome Kate Gordon to the show.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, welcome.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Um I know this is one of your first podcasts.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So the Loop Way podcast, as the audience knows, is it's like two girlfriends sitting in my living room, except we're in screens across the way and you're outside of Chicago, and I'm in Newport Beach, and we're gonna have a beautiful conversation.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I'm honored that you're here.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And the audience got a whole intro on you.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: So I want to use our time really wisely.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And first of all, out of your own mouth, I would love for you to tell our audience, first of all, how you connected with me and loop.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: And then secondly, I'd love to hear your transition story because you did a big pivot in 2024.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And so you know Miami, I love a pivot.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: I love it, you know, a good comeback.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I love when someone's pain turns into purpose, all those things.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So why don't you jump in and first let the audience know how you and I connected?
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: First of all, thank you for having me.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I'm so honored to be here with you.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: Um, this is incredible.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: So thank you so much.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Um, how I found you.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Um, as as all good things happened, uh, happened through friends.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: You were highly recommended by a dear friend, Amy.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: And uh this was in a point where I was discovering peptides.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Uh, a lot of information was out there, and I was searching for answers.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: I was doing my own research, and it's always good to um go by personal recommendations.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: So I it was no-brainer.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: I just wanted to connect with you.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And once I read your story and I listened to your podcast, and I just felt um for who you are as a person, um, I this is what brought me here.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Well, I remember the first time we met, and you were so cute because you were it's like you knew exactly what you wanted, and you wanted more.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: You're like, I wanted more information.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: How do we collab?
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: What we can do, and it's like a girl after my own heart.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: So I was me, I remember this beautiful face on my screen, and I was like, oh my gosh, wow.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: And we've been doing that kind of ever since, and it's been really fun to get to know you better.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Why don't you let the audience know a little bit about your story and your kind of your background and what led you to 2024 and your pivot?
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: 2024, yes.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Um it probably started earlier.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: I've always been in into holistic health and uh um uh approaching things from a holistic perspective.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Um delivered my babies naturally, not all.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: I have three sons, so I always say I tried it all.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: One was epidural, one was natural birth, one was emergency c-section.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Um, but um holistic medicine was uh my way.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: And I've dealt with my own share of health struggles since I was young, probably the first pregnancy kind of spiked the thyroid condition, and I've been on and off medications and traditional medicine, alternative medicine, kind of bouncing on and off, and uh always sticking more to a holistic route.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Uh gotten better, life went on, um, and um some traumatic experiences happened along the way.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: We can get into it, or maybe that's for another one.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Well, no, I mean we all like to get into it here.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Whatever, whatever you're comfortable sharing.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh um got sick with COVID, so so had really, really bad COVID episode, and uh believe long COVID tank my immune system.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: So paired that with emotion with the traumatical traumatic emotional event, which you know, those things are really powerful.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, they happen, but they're really powerful and um really affected my immune system further.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: And one day we're driving in a car, and I'm taking my younger son to for like a hangout with his friend, and I tap my fiance on the shoulder and I'm like, babe, I can't breathe.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: I couldn't breathe.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: So we turn around and go to ER, and I literally could not breathe.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: So um got put on steroids, um, got handed inhaler, and uh a big fat you got asthma now, you know, uh diagnosis.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: So so that's when I've had it, and and taking steroids, I mean, at the time I needed, so I'm I am grateful for allopathic medicine when we need it, but that was not an answer for me because I really didn't want to go on and like go on on that.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So so that's when I wanted to discover um how does the human body work?
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: How do I how do I needed more information how to treat myself, how to, how to how to help myself first.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: And um that um spiraled into this incredible functional wellness practitioner journey that I've been on.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: So I dove head first deep into the waters.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: I went back to school.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Um and I've learned about gut health and blood chemistry and hormones and uh other other uh modalities like bioenergetics, which was my first modality that I've discovered that he I can honestly say healed me, maybe not healed me, but got me out of um the state where I was, you know, got me off the inhaler.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I thought, wow, this is really powerful.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: So um to study functional uh wellness modalities, and um big part of it was um mental and emotional state and how trauma impacts us and has a very long-term effect since the events take place.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: And now I can put two and two together and say, yes, long COVID, um, thyroid condition, already weakened the immune system paired with emotional channel with a traumatic emotional event, and and you have a uh a bouquet of perfect storm, right?
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: The perfect storm, yes.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Um, so I have helped myself.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: I'm doing incredible.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And it's been thank you, it's been my purpose to help others.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I think when you come from a place of purpose for anything, right?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: It's you want to just deep dive in and go, okay, I I want to help other people solve this.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know, it's it's it's like a puzzle, right?
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Of the different pieces.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: And I think the emotional side, people don't talk about as much.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: You know, I shared my whole breath work experience um that I went through with so much release of shame and so much release of pain and so much release of guilt.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: And I mean, shaking and crying and sweating and didn't even know, like I mean, I was out of my mind and my body.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so much healing came from that.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, a lot of people during I had long-term COVID as well.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: And so I do understand what that can do to your body and your mind and your system.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: And I actually have a lot of clients who have it.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: It's very, very hard and sad.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: I I use stem cells to get rid of mine.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, and now, and now uh Stephanie, they just uh there are a lot of studies of how that affects our cognitive health.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Long COVID.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: I remember I couldn't design system like literally 10 steps.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: I was so debilitated, and then anytime I got exposed to someone with COVID, I would not test positive, but I had it.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It was just like it would knock me on my butt, and it was just it was just kind of, as you know, no way to live.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: Tell me how did you like through your journey heal yourself?
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Um so so bioenergetics.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Are you familiar with uh a little bit?
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Why don't you say to our listener?
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it's it's a science of um energy in a living system, right?
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: So so um we have biology, chemistry, right?
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: That's blood, um bio um biomechanics, you know, biophysics, that's how we move our body.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: But but energy is the physics component of the body, and it's and it's crucial.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: You know, during consumption, uh when the sperm meets the ag there it requires electromagnetic signal for, you know, like a spark for both to to to start the process.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: So it's you know, it's that cellary energy, that source energy.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: So bioenergetics um shows how well the energy is distributed throughout the body, uh, how much energy organ systems you know have, where you deplete it, where you have enough energy, where not enough.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: It's also about um uh the commute communication within the organ systems and the cells.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: We know that uh cells communicate.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, right?
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: The brain sends the signals you know to organs.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: It's like a beautiful orchestra.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: A body is like a beautiful orchestra, right?
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: But it requires a music sheet.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's beautiful.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: That's a really nice put.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so so once um, once there's incoherence with uh uh communication, you know, like static, like can you hear me now, right?
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so the brain sends out a signal, and it's being um compromised by so much, right?
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Like all the toxicity that we're dealing with, stress, um, stuff in our food supply and water supply, right?
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: Pollution in the air, you know, there it creates a lot of static.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: So my gosh, and the toxins, yeah.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: The building of toxins is a no-joke.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right, right.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: So, so so eventually it's kind of creates a havoc in the in the in the body, and the the organ systems, you know, they try to compensate and eventually they kind of go in on the on their own, trying to figure out what to do, and that eventually creates uh these disorders, disorders, diseases.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Um, so by correcting the communication pathways, by uh providing um that the source energy to the body, right, by addressing the body through the physics, um we are able to recover so much faster.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: So for me, it's more about resilience, right?
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: It's about it's not about so much like what we do, but it's but it's what's the recovery strategy, right?
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: And how how do we become more resilient?
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: And I've heard this somewhere, and I don't remember where, but it resonated with me so much that the key to health is to decrease inflammation and increase energy.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: And we could decrease inflammation, right?
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: We are our body is not to deal with a lot of things and to recover.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: When inflammation is I think is the root cause of so much stuff.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, that was when I first got into peptides when I got on BPC, it was just like the inflammation left my body.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: And I was I got into this running, literally this running accident on Friday.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: I try to run now once a week, and I you know those like big circle things like over like a palette, they're like plastic and thick, like hard to cut.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: You know, you get enough, you get it when it packages sometimes, and it's just like anyway.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know how I did this cave, but somehow I stepped in it and when I went back, it caught my back ankle, which pulled it and it clipped to my front ankle, and I flew.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And I was so lucky that I didn't like break a wrist, my face.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: I don't know how.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, I landed on my chest.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Thank God I was spidd.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: I had whiplash, I was so messed up.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: But my point is that, you know, I could feel the inflammation.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: And this is just a very simple way for the audience to see that, you know, inflammation with an injury is obvious.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Inflammation in the body and the organs sometimes is less obvious.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: But I um I mean everything swelled so quickly.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: And thank goodness I'm back on BPC this month.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: And I doubled it up and I got on TB 500.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: And if you saw my before and after, I look almost healed.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, my right knee hurts a little bit more from the inflammation.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: But the inflammation, and I want everyone to know this too, is like well, there's a good inflammation too, right?
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: Like when you injure yourself, right?
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: You need the inflammation for the body to like start healing too.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Like you want the inflammation, but you also need to make sure you have blood flow, right?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And so there's a fine balance of inflammation, but you don't want too inflammation because then it stops the blood flow and the blood flow equals the healing.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: It's like this, it's a beautiful dance of the way the inflammation like lives into your body.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: One of the reasons I also love blood tests is blood, the blood test can tell you if you have a lot of inflammation in your body, right?
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: And we do not want that.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And that's a really good, I think, for thing for anybody to test because oftentimes you might look in the mirror and say, like, I feel inflamed, especially as a middle-aged woman, hello, right?
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: A lot.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: But to me, when I feel inflamed, I kind of have to sit back and say, okay, what's going on in my life?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Is there too much stress because of my workout?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Is there too much stress because of work, right?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: We kind of talked about the different stressors in our lives.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Am I have been eating out too much and drinking too much?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Or am I, you know, what are the things that could be contributing?
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Am I not sleeping enough to the inflammation in my body?
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Because we all know this, the body keeps the score.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: And you learn that the hard way in 2024, right?
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Like it was kind of probably the perfect storm for you of just having things start to shut down.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: And all of those things that interconnected, right?
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: Like you're naming things, and and one can trigger another, right?
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: And it's just a ripple effect.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: So I I also always say, you know, you can't have um, you know, a healthy body with a you know like mind, or or vice versa, right?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: If we deal a lot with a lot here, you almost like shutting down the oxygen.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Oh my I know, and I think we're as human beings, we are so good at stuffing things down, you know, or compartment I was saying wrong, compartmentalizing, you know, like putting into place and just check it off the box.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: I don't want to deal with it.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: You know, instead of saying, hey, guess what?
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: The more you bury it, the louder the roar comes, and you then you start having to talk about it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And a lot of my clients, and I'm curious with you, Kate, in your practice, is I see a lot of women middle age that were desperate.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: I was that person, and you're desperate for change.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: You want to feel better, you want to look better, you're where is my energy?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: What are you seeing in your practice right now?
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I'm seeing that.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: I'm seeing this is my circle, this is my age demographic.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: And um, I have so much compassion for these women because for so long we haven't been getting answers, right?
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: And now there's just so much.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: There's so much information.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: So you can get lost in the weeds of this information.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: It's like, do I do I do this?
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: Do I get on uh hormids?
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Do I gut health?
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: How do I dress my nervous system?
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: There's so many tools and so much information that a lot of people freak out and then it's just like, okay, screw this.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Um I'm like it's oh I mean, it is overwhelming.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: And like, yeah, and even myself, my you know, I'm on a a handful of supplements right now based on my blood work, and I looked at my bill for my monthly you know, full script that Paula put me on.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wow, this is no joke.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: It was like$450 of supplements, and it's not forever, and we're adjusting to certain things.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: I'm actually gonna do a podcast to talk all about my blood work, which is exciting.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: But you know, I think for a lot of people I I love tests, I love labs, I love information similarly.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: So, you know what I did, Kate, which is awesome, is I did, I took my last huge blood panel and we compared it to this large blood panel that I ran through, loop health.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: And we saw what's better, and then we aligned it with what peptides that I was on to equal what was better and supplements.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: And so there's a whole thing of like, what was what's been working, right?
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: And then it's like, okay, now what are we working on?
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: And then what peptides and supplements are we using to kind of work on this piece?
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: And that's what blood work, I you know, I push it so much with my clients because you got to get under the hood to really understand what's going on.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: And also, like some of these peptides, you might not know they're working until you look at your blood work and then you're going, oh my gosh, this is amazing.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: And so it is worth taking the time to get your blood work done once a quarter.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just think like at least twice a year, huge panel.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: And then once a quarter, quarter, pick some stuff that you're working on.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, you know, it's uh it's also that mentality, right?
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Where we see we get a physical once a year, we get our blood done once a year, right?
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: We've been groomed to to be on this schedule where you have if you are being proactive about your health and you are taking supplements and you are being on taptides, right?
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: You're being proactive, you need to monitor and see, first of all, to see, right, if it's working and it is working to track results.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: So I think it's like shifting that mindset.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: A hundred percent.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Let's change gears a little bit and talk about the gut.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Because I know that you specialize in that, and it is something I think you know, the saying, why does every hot girl have gut issues?
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: You never heard that saying.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, it's the I believe it.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: It's the bloat.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: It's, you know, I I it and we talked about this, you know, early in this conversation of unfortunately sometimes when you look under the hood, it's like, oh my gosh, you're gonna find something.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: And what what are you really willing to deal with and address when you look under the hood?
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And that's why I tell my my um clients, we're not gonna treat the entire body right now.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: We are gonna say, okay, what's going on?
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: We're gonna look at your blood work, but then we're gonna look at life in quarters, right?
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Because like you said, you get very overwhelmed when someone's asking you to spend a lot of money.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: And then it's just, and then there's just like a lot of things, right?
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: And it's like, oh, do I really want to do a parasite cleanse?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And then do I really want to do a H.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: pylori cleanse?
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And do I really I mean, do you have to stop your life to like handle?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, if everyone was handling their gut on a regular basis, no one would go outside.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, we'd all live inside its terms and probably eat fermented food, except for there's some people where fermented food hurts them.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's just like you don't never know.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: It's very hard.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: It would it would hurt you if you have um overgrowth.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: So you don't want to do fermented foods when you have an overgrowth, but you're all overgrown.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: I guess what's a lot sometimes somebody doesn't know, right?
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: And I think one of the things that's tricky, especially I think as older women were a little bit more in tune, but I think sometimes the younger generation, I was that way at the time, is I was eating the same foods, right?
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: The same meals, the same foods.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: It was easy, it was cheap.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: I thought it was quote healthy.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: Not realizing that sometimes healthy food could be destroying your gut if you are dealing with candida or SIBO or leaky gut, we can name them all, right?
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And you're feeding it.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, that's why, yes.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And you think, oh, I'm eating this good stuff.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: Well, that's that's what one of the labs that I run um pretty much for for on everyone is uh food sensitivity test.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: And um that uh detects what creates these inflammatory responses.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: And think of it, um, so we we know what allergy is, right?
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: You eat a food and then you start itching, you they come bloated, right?
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Your lips, ears swallow, whatever, right?
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: There's invisible allergic reactions.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Inflammation, it's like the silent fires, right?
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: That you can't put out, right?
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Or or or it's like you adding those wood chips in the big fire, right?
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: And as much as you try to put out fire, you keep feeding it.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: So that's food sensitivity.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: It create it keeps this inflammatory response.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: And more often than not, the foods that come back is either somebody.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Eats alive and it like makes sense, or maybe they've had it twice in their life.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: And it's like the most inflammator, you know, the most inflammatory food.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: So while we're addressing the gut, I want to make sure we take this out.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: We don't want to keep the fire going when we're trying to put it out.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: So food sensitivity is really, really important.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times they are those healthy foods.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: You know, like vagis and veggies or fruits or quinoa, you know.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, quinoa wrecks my stomach.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Wrecks it.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: So talking about inflammation, right?
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: So we want to avoid the avoid whatever contributes to inflammation.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Um, again, right?
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: Kombucha, like like kombucha or fermented foods, like people drink kombucha every day.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: It's not good for you.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: You are just adding so much of that, you know, my my you know, bacterial stuff, and you don't know if you have overgrowth, right?
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Um, you don't know what's happening in your in your microbiome.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: So you introducing other species that may not be welcome.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: I think it's when I did when I did a gut test, uh, I've done two, but the first one that I had done, I my dad did it at the same time.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: And it was Which one did you do?
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: It was a stool sample.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: It was um name it.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Jamma?
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: I think I think it was a blue box, blue and white, blue, it had blue marking.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Jamma.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: Jamma.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: That's my preferred.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: And I loved it.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: It makes I mean it told me a lot more than I wanted to know.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: And the funniest thing is, is my dad was like burping and stuff, and I was like, dude, you need to do this.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know what's going on with you, but you need this test.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: So we do it the same similar time at the same time, within weeks of each other.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: And um, my functional medicine doctor here, you know, calls me and we're good friends, and he's like, Um, Steph, yours is so much worse than your dad's.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: And here I am thinking, I'm like so great.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: And I at the time I had H pyl, they was diagnosed with H.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: pylori and Candida.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And so I treated the H.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: pylori with herbal, and that's a really hard one to get rid of, as everyone knows.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Like it's passed around so easy.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Well, the thing is, yes, and and so many people have it.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: And keep in mind, if you treat it and your partner has it, you keep reintroducing it.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, I was giving, I was like, you my boyfriend do all the same pills.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, these are your pills, these are my pills, we're gonna get rid of this.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Good job.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: I had no and I had no symptoms, which was the weirder thing of it, which was odd.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: But I did have candida.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: My interesting story about candida is, and I'm not saying this is just my story.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying go do this at home.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that this works for everybody, but I it was around November when I got my everything back, and I was like, I'm not gonna go and do a like a detox for my candida and kill it off during the holidays.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: Like that's just I'm not I'm not committed to that.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about it in January.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: So I did take KPV, BBC, and that that's being responsible.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: I like that.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: That's being responsible, right?
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: You know, you you you you may not be able to, so let's go.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: But I took BBC, KPV, and I took some supplements and then I retested again and I was gone.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I didn't change one thing in my diet.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Not one.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying it was that.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: I just, but all I know is it's gone.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: I've not had it, I've no, I've not had no issues since, and I test it again.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: But you don't know, and and that's the hard part.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: I think everybody's different.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: And I I really believe in the bioindividually of individuality of peptides is the same thing I talk about with everything else, right?
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: You don't want to overwhelm the client.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: So, what are we gonna tackle first?
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: You know, what is really your goal right now?
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: If it's just to feel better, you and I are on the same page.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Let's start with the gut, let's start start with the immunity.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Let's start really simple getting your body back to homeostasis because usually when you get your butt out, your butt, hello, your gut under control, everything else functions better, right?
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: Your bell controls your butt.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Your gut controls your butt.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: So tell me kind of what walk us through a protocol with with a client who's really trying to focus on their gut or what they're coming and they're are they coming with symptoms?
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: How do you start that whole process?
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: So God is fundamental.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: I feel like everybody needs to address it.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: And no matter what they say, um if you are 30 plus, maybe or and I'm not I'm not right grouping everybody, I'm just saying, you know, people can have issues in different stages in life.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: But um, when you're at a certain age, you've had way more exposure, right, to toxins, bad food, all the stuff, right?
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: So more stress, right?
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: So naturally your gut is affected.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: Um, right, there's they say god is the second brain, it could be the first one, right?
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: It sends the signals to the brain, right?
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it's the chicken or the egg.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Um, when we stress, it uh directly impacts our digestion, right?
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Uh when we are in the highly stressed uh state, um our acid production you know decreases.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: So we are unable to break down uh foods, we are unable to kill off pathogens as as efficiently, right?
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: So it's like reopening the gates to uh invasion.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: So um, and thinking about stress, right?
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Everybody deals with stress on some sort, on some level or the other.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Of course, you if you're alive.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: I feel like nowadays uh people are more open to that, like acknowledging, yes.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: But um uh so so so gut health is essential for everyone.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: If if you haven't addressed your gut, you need to address your gut, right?
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: And and these are the people that I'm dealing with.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times it's women wanting to address the hormones.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: I'm like, mm-hmm, let's let's let's start with basics, right?
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: The gut.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: Because if you don't have optimized gut health, no matter what you do about your hormones, um, it will not be efficient, right?
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: Because we know that um there's specific bacteria that are responsible for keeping the estrogen in the system, right?
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: And we want to make sure we detoxing properly.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: Um my number one question when it comes, you know, to my clients, you know, how often do you poop or if you poop at all?
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: And it's incredible how people sometimes say, you know, oh I'm good, I'm regular.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: What's that?
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: What does that look like?
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: You know, oh, you know, every few days, that's not normal.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: I know, I think not normal.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: You know, I think the poop department is a very interesting like thing to talk about.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: And let me talk about everything here, so that let's go, let's go for it.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: You know, I I do think it's you know, understanding kind of what's regular.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna call my boy for now, he's gonna die.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: So we know we're we're dating, and he's like in the bathroom a lot.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: And I was like, what is happening?
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Like, this is not normal.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: He has no idea.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this is not normal.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Like this is actually extreme.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I wish I had half as much as you were on the toilet, but like, this is extreme.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: Well, it's about the quality, not the quantity.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: So he did a food allergy test.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: And he, because I said, let's first do a food allergy test before we even look at your gut.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: And he is like highly allergic to whey and dairy, and so certain types of dairy.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: But so he every morning was starting his morning with a whey shake, like I mean, just pounding it, and it was like a gut bomb.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: No wonder he started host, and the second he switched his diet, oh my gosh, like he lost so much inflammation, like it's almost like he lost 10 pounds of just inflammation by removing and shellfish, and you hear there's certain things, and now when he does eat it, it's like it's instant.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: And you know, I think a lot of times men especially like women were a little bit more in tune of what's quote normal, but not always.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: But I think he was shocked.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: You would be surprised.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yes.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Well, um, well, um it's the kind of thing happened in my household.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: You know, my my fiance is my is my you know, patient zero.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very, very compliant.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: He's like the dream client, he does everything told.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, when I was, you know, finished my program and I'm like, it's all about the gut health.
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: And we've I tested myself, I tested him, and you know, we found some uh some pathogenic infection, uh, pathogen infection, and that explained his bathroom like episodes.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: And um shortly within, you know, just just a few protocols, uh, he's like, I'm pooping like an 18-year-old.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god, you know you really love someone when you're sitting there talking about their bowel movements.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: You're like, okay, we're at a whole nother level of intimacy here.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: But it's true.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, and it's important.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: And even my children, my girls, like, you know, like they're constipated or this or that.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: And we're working on, you know, supplements that can help them and they're on KPV and that helped them.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: And just at the end of the day, it's like, okay, I also, you know, what are you eating on a regular basis?
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're getting frozen yogurt every single night, like that is not healthy, and that is actually a lot of sugar on your gut.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of things that we have to like understand a lot.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Healthy is like, I'm a person, I would rather eat real ice cream, not often, than go and get a frozen yogurt.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Like, that's just like I like to me, it's like that's a gut bomb.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: If I eat a frozen yogurt, I will have my stomach out to here.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: If I eat ice cream, I'm fine.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: It's very interesting.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: It's not like I don't have, I don't have a sense, it's more of the chemicals that I'm sensitive to than I am the dairy.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: It could be a lot of a lot of different things, right?
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: And it's like about I'm so diligent about reading ingredients.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: Like I spend so much longer time at the grocery store because I read every book.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Yes, and I think we're money.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: It's like it's in your system.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: Tell me what you've loved about your pet side journey.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: I would love to kind of dive in because you, you know, you took my course, you're you're into it, you're working with patience on it.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: You know, we love to kind of go back and forth, and I want you to be a coach with me soon.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: So tell me about your journey a little bit in the pep side world and what you're loving about it, what you're seeing with your clients.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, so um um I am, you know, uh in that uh um what do you call it, delicate age, right?
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: The perimenopause, that transition that comes with so many fun symptoms, right?
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: The geez, how lucky for us.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: But um, thank God, you know, help is on the way.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: So I'm really excited about what's been happening in women's health and and you know, so much more resources available.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: Um but one of my symptoms was uh crazy hair shedding.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like that's something I was experiencing, and it could be from uh maybe teeth toxic I was doing, but you know, a lot accommodation of a lot of things.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: Um it could have been your long-term hair too catching up to you.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, and I've gone through a phase of that and uh recovered, and this was um I don't know, maybe it was just you know I remember it was in the spring, and maybe season changes seasonal changes too, so plus hormones, the whole the whole thing, right?
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: Um, and I tried my first peptide was G HKCU and I swear to God, and it's not gonna happen with everybody.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: I tell my co you know, my clients and people I coached, it's not gonna happen with everybody, probably, you know, we all different, but within probably three weeks, my hair shedding stopped.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and and then into like a month and a half, you know, you know how you wash your hair and you naturally pull like the some loon the Sierra, I would pull chunks before and it would be devastating, right?
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: Like chunks of hair just coming out.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: And some of it it may be normal, but but it it was it was yeah, it was alarming.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: Stop any I would wash my hair and nothing would come up like nothing.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my god, like my hair is so much healthy and strong, and I could see I could see um uh in my face, you know, it would be so much plumper, and the fine lines are starting to disappear a little bit.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: You know, it's it it's it's it it was magical to me.
- 33:43SPEAKER_01: Like it's not I don't believe that there's anything a magic, you know, there's no such thing as a magic pill, right?
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Everything works in combination.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: So whatever I was doing plus this created this incredibly positive change rate.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: So then I felt comfortable to explore with more.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: Um, I've tried BPC 157.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: I have tried KPB.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: I I am doing Ipamoralin right now, just because I'm I'm doing more um lifting, more strength training.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: Um, and what else what else I noticed?
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: I'm a tennis player.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: I love tennis.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: I it's it's it's uh it's my addiction.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: I play in a women's league in my uh in my area, but I haven't been able to uh recently because of my shoulder injury, and also, you know, I can relate it to perimenopause, right?
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Where your estrogen's down and nice.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: So so I've been on top of my you know hormone regulation and again addressing gut health, plus peptides.
- 34:50SPEAKER_01: I wasn't able to lift my arm close to my head like this, like it would be out up to here.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: That that's as far as I could go.
- 34:59SPEAKER_01: I I couldn't fasten my bra.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: Like that was debilitating.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Um, I went to doctors, they wanted to give me cortisol shots, you know, all that stuff, and like no.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: So look, I mean if you guys are watching, it's she's like now full range.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: It's it's incredible.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: So so that that is incredible.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: Also, I did my I ran my lab um labs, my recent lab, and my inflammation marker decreased by 50%.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, insane.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Insane.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: My um um thyroid markers have improved incredibly.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, because I I also have been using T A1.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: So that's that's great for um my favorite.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: Um I I I don't know if I'm able to say right Hashimoto's or Oh, you can.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: You can say anything here, but that's a nice fight.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Anything goes here.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: So, yes, dealing with Hashimoto's is yeah, pet size can really, really help.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: So that has been incredible.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: And um yeah, so so obviously I experienced it in myself.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: My fiance is on a Papti journey, he's had incredible results in his um weight loss journey, endurance um has improved so much.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, it's I was walking back from the gym this morning with my boyfriend, and when I was working in, I was like, Oh, and I'll share I'll share one more, I'll I'll share one more when that I'm incredibly like psyched about.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: Tell me.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: I can hold a plank for three minutes.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: It's been my personal record, and I am super freaking proud of it.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know people can do I know people can hold it for hours, but I remember the days when I couldn't hold it for longer than 30 seconds.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would be on a floor, I had no zero endurance, and to be able to do this, I I just feel my body's so much stronger.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: It's hundreds of things.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: I do think when your body's stronger too, your mind becomes stronger.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: I think as a female, you know, to be empowered, I love that I can take because I travel so much my carry-on and I can take, and it's heavy a lot because I put everything in there that I can, I don't need a man's help, I can do it myself when it's really heavy.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: And those things matter.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: So the plank matters, right?
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: And then to have your own goal to say, hey, wow, look where I was and look where I am right now.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: I'm just a big thing.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: It's like no one needs to give up.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: I want to actually start to learn how to do a pull-up.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Like I haven't tried it, but um I don't even know if I can.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, you and I both.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: That's that's my new goal, but I've been working on my abs lately in the gym because I never train my abs.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: And I train my abs through just regular, like lifting weights, you still engage your abs.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: But I talked to my trainer, I said, I want to actually do a test and I want to actually train my core along with it.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: And so we've been doing those, you know, those hanging, those hanging um leg raises that are hard.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm getting so strong.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: And I do think the litmus test of like where you start and where you end is so beautiful, especially to just empower you to say, like, yes, I'm halfway through my life, but I'm getting stronger and stronger and stronger.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: And there are, you know, my my girls are so cute because I'm not sure.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: I'm stronger where I was 20 years ago.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: And I'm uh like I feel so good.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: I look better than I did 20 years ago.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: Yes, me too.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, my daughter turned 16 today.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: This whole news and I was reflecting a woman that I was when I gave birth to her, you know, 16 years ago, who was I?
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: And I thought, wow, so much life I've lived since then and so much knowledge.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And I say I am the most confident, happiest, healthiest mind-body spirit than I've ever been.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: And I am 51 years old.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: And that is why, that's my why, and your why of like is just how do you I want every woman to feel the way that you and I get to feel.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I want it's like, I don't have to do what I do, but I want to inspire.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: I want to give people permission.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: You know, someone actually the other day was like, Thank you for talking about plastic surgery.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: You gave me permission to feel like I can go and get my lips done if I wanted to, you know?
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: And my thing is I'm not a big person, like, oh, I won't get plastic surgery.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: But I'm just saying, do what you want to do because you want to do it for yourself, right?
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: Like it's no one else's body.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: It's no one else's decision.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: It's their opinions do not matter.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, even like your spouses.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's your body, it's your decision.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: And so I'm just gonna talk about freedom, right?
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: It's just women empowerment.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: And just women supporting each other, you know, this gatekeeping.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: And this is what I love what you and I do is just you started a practice because it came from a place of really you were sounded to me the way you described it is you were at the low, one of the lowest points of your life and building it back through helping other people.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, I just feel like that's what life is all about, is to have a purpose and to really be driven by service and helping people is so fulfilling to me.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Like I every day I feel so blessed to get to do what I do.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure you've I can see it.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're radiant.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: And when we met, you were so eager to learn.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: And that's what I love about our coaching community.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: It's like it's it's very much very like-minded women who are part of this change.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: And with loop health, I mean, my goal is to have the largest health online platform for the middle-aged woman to feel seen, right?
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: To feel heard, to not be censored like I'm getting censored.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's it's really important to have a place where you're seen.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: And I love that.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: I love that you offer that outlet.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: It's it's incredible.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: Um, again, right, with with the with the so much noise and so much information, and you just don't know if it's you know, if it's valid, if it's right.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: You have, I mean, I think like we have to process so much nowadays to have this oasis, like an outlet where you can come and and hear from others going through the same thing, ask questions, you know it's a trusted source, a resource is for you.
- 41:05SPEAKER_01: I love that about you platform.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: And um, and uh yeah, I just want to say, like, I turned 50 last June, and I have never felt like better, look better, just the confidence and the zest for life and the the purpose.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, my life like did 180 it went through a a huge transformation um within the past, you know, three, three, four years.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: And uh that's why too like I like to tell how and and that's I want to guide other ones.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: Yes, uh just be a doctor.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: I think there's a lot more to your practice, which is similar to mine, especially when you do a big pivot, right?
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: Or you're like, okay, if someone told four years ago, Kate, so what you're you're 50 right now, you know, so mid-40s, 46 years old, that this would be your life now, you probably would never believe it or dream it.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: And so I always say, like, on the other side of fear is a beautiful world.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: And just to not be afraid to show up for yourself.
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: Show because when you show up for yourself, you show up for your kids, you show up for your partner, you show up for your friends, you know, be as inspiring.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: And I I think too, and I know that you probably feel the same way, and especially when you are practicing, I'd say any term terms of holistic health, is it is okay to change your mind.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: I want everyone to listen to this about anything in life, right?
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: It's okay to pivot, it's okay to change your mind, it's okay back to go back to school, it's okay to I mean, it's like I'm giving you permission, like this is your life, you have one.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Go design a dream life.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Like, why not?
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, don't, don't, don't, don't put yourself in the box.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: It's uh we're I mean, it we're being dictated, right?
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: By these like boundaries and these uh fine lines that that people are unable to cross.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: And and uh part of what I do with my uh um mindset coaching, I'm also an NLP coach, neurolinguistic programming.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: And it has a lot to do with you know just shedding this baggage, negative emotional baggage that keeps people stuck, right?
- 43:09SPEAKER_01: Where are they at?
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: They can't go past uh a certain, you know, like uh threshold.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: And there's a loop, right?
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: Literally a loop.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: And there's a loop, right?
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: And self-sabotage loop and self-sabotage and the negative talk and the negative talk, and like I know I mean, it's like the negative narrative inside inside your head, right?
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: All these things you tell yourself, right?
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: It's right.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: I even sometimes have it, and then I it takes me going, all right, literally get off, get out of the loop.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: And sometimes it means I I stop exactly what I'm doing and I go on a walk and I just get into nature and I get outside and I'm like, all right.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: You have a strategy the crazy.
- 43:48SPEAKER_01: That's what it did to do.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: The crazy is gonna be a strategy when you start.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: And I I think I want everybody also to know is that have these little tools, you know, and when you work with a coach, I think.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: What's really nice is we have as coaches a lot of leeway.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: You know, we work in a very different different litmus status than a doctor who can only kind of stay in certain lanes because it's not one thing, it's all the things.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: And that seems like you coach very similar to me, where oftentimes someone will come to me for one thing, and by the end of the conversation, our protocol is so different because we will resolve what's really there through a different pathway.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: Because it's not really this, it's something else.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: And just like symptoms, right?
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, traditionally we treating symptoms, and it's not about, you know, symptoms are the body's way of communicating of a deeper, uh, a deeper issue, right?
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: What's going on?
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: So, so let's get to the root cause.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: And that's what I'm passionate about, right?
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Getting to the root cause, um, not just the symptoms, uh-huh.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Not avoiding the symptoms, but it leads to something else.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: Percent always.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: And you know what's fun about the peptide world is there's new peptides being created every single day, and big ones to heal.
- 45:01SPEAKER_00: Like I'm on clotho right now, which is a big peptide, and I use it to support my kidneys.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: And not that I have like a kidney issue, but I I have this weird thing where maybe once a year it I get a really bad kidney infection, and it I have no symptoms before that.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: So it's not like I get a UTI and it's it's like no symptoms except by the time I know I have it, I'm really, really tired and fatigued, and I've had it for a long time.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: So now I'm ultra paranoid.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: Like the second I'm like fatigued, or so I'm like now.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: Trevor actually told me, he's like, get on clotho and just stay on clotho because it'll support you.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: And so I've been doing it and it's a it was a peptide, it's it's an expensive, we're actually gonna start to carry it, but it's an expensive, I'm sensitive because it's an expensive peptide.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: But if you're having issues with any organs, right, or anything not working properly, it's a fantastic peptide.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: But I, you know, people talk there's gonna be peptides that'll help with obviously cure Parkinson's.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: We already see helps with Alzheimer's, Hashimoto's.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: I just think it's going to be the future as more eyes are on it and more doctors are now believing in it and more studies are being done.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: We're doing the largest human trial right now.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: And that's why partnering with somebody like you and bringing your clientele into our community, it's that's where we support each other because, you know, you and I can only help so many clients.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: And at the end of the day, because the peptides are relatively new for right now, guys, not new, they've been around for centuries, a long time, but you new to the our thing, our gender population, using them like they are, you start to learn how different peptides affect different people because everybody's different.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: And that's I think what makes your job and my job a little bit more difficult because we're it's it's a practice.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: It may help, this might help.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: And sometimes what it should help for does something completely different or opposite.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: I just hope I mean I I hope and threats it will remain accessible to us and you know.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, it will help.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: They're not going anywhere.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: Now, how you get them, how we get them, I think is going to change.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: I think I personally there'll always be research, but I do think telehealth will be a big piece of our future.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: But I think with telehealth, you just you have to have coaches like you and I.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: Because with telehealth, it's you know, you think you're getting support, but you're just you're never talking to anyone, you're checking off a box and then something arrives.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: So that's where, you know, find the right support, find the right community.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: So when you do go through telehealth, you have support.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: I think that's my biggest thing.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: Um, research peptides will always be there in some way, shape, or form.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: But I'm really hoping that in February, these nine peptides that are kind of got through the first wave with our um administration gets approved to at least be compounded again.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: I think that's really important.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Because there is still a lot of fear.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, there is a lot of fear.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: People don't want to try it or devil in it, right?
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: Just because, you know, they're well, and I think we're all, you know, we're we're all conditioned that to take a pill.
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: Take a pill, you know, get a COVID vaccine.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: It's like we're conditioned to trust in different ways.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm not judging anyone.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, your body, your whatever you think, but you know, if you just take a vitamin every single day and you're not thinking where is this manufactured and what is it and is it absorbing, or am I wasting my mind?
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, we have to ask all these questions.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: And supplements are the most unregulated, right?
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, supplements are the the least regulated out there, right?
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: I feel like the supplement in the peptide industry is a dirty industry.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: I hate to say it, it's a dirty industry and it's preying on people.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: I'm actually embarrassed sometimes to say that I'm a peptide coach when somebody asks me what I do.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm leaning more in terms of like my online health platform because I don't like the stigma because every influencer is talking about peptides.
- 48:50SPEAKER_00: Like I don't, I'm not an influencer.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: I'm not somebody who's going on there and throwing protocols around and just, you know, I I mean, I get kicked off Instagram.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: So it's like I can't even find.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm back on though.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: I have my little one.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: If you guys want to find me, Stephanie, loop health for now.
- 49:04SPEAKER_00: It's been six days.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: Amazing.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: But my my point I'm trying to say is it is it is confusing, it's noisy.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: And I think what you're doing, what we're doing, linking arms and just really helping people cut through the BS and say, okay, what's important to me and baby steps, right?
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Big goals, but baby steps to get there.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: And I feel like that people need to understand is Rome was not built in a day.
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: And you and I, our health journeys have been over the last four years.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: We have that in common.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm a different woman mentally, physically, everything from when I started this journey.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: And so I remind people of that too.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: If you see someone walking around with a bunch of muscle, that was earned and that was owned, earned over years.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: So but I always say to my clients, it took you this long, right, to feel this way.
- 49:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it it may take, you know, it's not gonna happen overnight.
- 49:58SPEAKER_01: We can't change it, right?
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: We can't.
- 50:00SPEAKER_01: I tell people sometimes years.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: I look in the eyes and I'm like, this is gonna take a year plus, and just hang in there.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: And if you want to you can, yeah, and you can there's no reason, you know, by the time you're having a symptom of not feeling good, if you'd gotten blood work a year before, I guarantee you would not be in the place you are today.
- 50:20SPEAKER_00: Feeling it because when you're feeling it, it has been around for a while.
- 50:24SPEAKER_00: That's that's what I believe.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: I believe when you start having symptoms and you're feeling it, if you had gotten blood work six months, a year before, baby, you would start to say, Hey, listen, there's signs that I'm heading in the opposite direction that I want to go.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: And that's what I love about functional health.
- 50:40SPEAKER_01: Functional to me is preventative.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: And looking at blood work through a functional lens is very different than conventional oranges.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure what you're doing is functional or addressing, right?
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: Looking at the lab test through a functional lens.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: We know that.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: And and people have this misconception, right?
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: They go to a doctor and like, oh, your labs look fine.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: No, they're not.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: They may look fine if if you're being, you know, in the average of calculation.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: So the difference, right?
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: The functional ranges is so much more narrow and we can detect things so much sooner.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: So it's a preventative conventional wishing too late.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: Like for me, I feel much better when my testosterone's at 100, 100 plus.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: Like I'm fine.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: Whereas someone looks at my blood work, they're like, oh, your testosterone, sorry.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: My last blood work was around like 80, and I'm that was about three weeks ago, and I'm about to get my pellet.
- 51:36SPEAKER_00: So I bet it's even lower.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: I bet it, I bet it's like in the 50s.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: I feel different.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: Like I can I get my pellet tomorrow.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: Kate, I cannot wait to get my pellet.
- 51:43SPEAKER_00: And the pellet works great for me, it doesn't work for everybody, but you know, I like to function in this range.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: And I had a client message me today and she's like, My testosterone was my testosterone was point one.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: I have like none.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: And I said, There's no problem.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: The key though is when you work with the right person, is you need to make sure what level works for you, right?
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: Everyone's different.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: Like someone else on testosterone at my level might, hair might be falling out, might, you know, might be have raging, might have acne.
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, it might not work.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: Everyone just needs to say, I gotta do what's best for me, and then low and slow to figure out what that is, right?
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: I think you'd a hundred percent agree.
- 52:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 52:22SPEAKER_01: And and you know, my my other problem is you can get lobs everywhere right now, right?
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: It's so many companies are offering lobs and loves, and and you can test for anything.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: And that and then what, right?
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: People are people are being left with these like giant reports.
- 52:37SPEAKER_00: Function health is like, here's all your stuff, and you're there, then everyone's like, now what?
- 52:40SPEAKER_01: And then what, right?
- 52:42SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 52:42SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: It's the same back end as function, but you do get your protocols where they're they your blood work comes down.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: At least you can speak to somebody and that you can look at it all and say, okay, now what do I want to do?
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: And this is what we suggest.
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: And it's like not about what's in range, it's about what's optimal.
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: You know, where, how do you want to live?
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: How do you want to age?
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: How do you want to have these questions of what do you want to address first?
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Take into consideration where you are now, you what are your goals, what's not working, what hasn't been working, right?
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: Let's get you there.
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: Well, the definition invents out of I tell people like you're doing the same thing over and over and over, and all of a sudden that you think you're gonna wake up one day and like miraculously like feel better or have the life of your no, you've got to make changes and here or there.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, Caesar's making me get up.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, and I and I was gonna say, you know, life goes on once you reach certain goal, right?
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: You may not mean you'll stay there, right?
- 53:37SPEAKER_01: The things are happening in life.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: The thing, you know, shit happens.
- 53:40SPEAKER_01: So we're 100%.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: Well, and you know, I always say you gotta just do the best you can to be consistent.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm in a crazy time of my life where I'm I would definitely say I'm like instead of like 80-20, I'm 60, 40, and I've gotta be fine with that.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: My travel schedule, my work schedule, my kid, I'm fine.
- 53:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm fine.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: Well, I say celebrate at 90%, right?
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: So celebrate.
- 54:01SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, you know, celebrate where you can be when you can be and all of that.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right, you do rapid fire.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: All right, you ready?
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: What would you go back, Kate, and tell your 20-ish year old self?
- 54:11SPEAKER_00: You sometime in your 20s, what would you tell her?
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: Oh God, be kind to yourself, be patient, love yourself.
- 54:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's seriously.
- 54:23SPEAKER_01: We're we're so judgmental and we compare ourselves to others, and I feel like it's worse nowadays for our kids, you know, with so much exposure in the social media.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: So just just be kind.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: Be kind.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: Take your time.
- 54:38SPEAKER_00: But I think if you're kind to yourself, you're you're kind to other people too, which I think is is really important.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, so what's a daily um non-negotiable for you?
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: Oh, daily non-negotiable.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: Uh doing my plank.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: I do plank once a day.
- 54:58SPEAKER_01: Um uh hydration.
- 55:00SPEAKER_01: I walk around with this everywhere, like I take it with me everywhere.
- 55:03SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: It's like it's like a little bit of a.
- 55:05SPEAKER_01: Sometimes it's funny, you know, what places I bring it in, and I'm like, oh my god, I'm so used to it.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: It's like attached to my own.
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: I'm embarrassed I have this plastic one, but this is because I was running late to this podcast and I just grabbed it.
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: But 100%.
- 55:14SPEAKER_01: So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, uh, and eat.
- 55:17SPEAKER_01: Don't forget to eat.
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: You need to eat, especially, you know, balance meals.
- 55:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's important.
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: So, what's a daily um like what's it I want to say the right word?
- 55:27SPEAKER_00: What's like a a guilty pleasure that's not so guilty?
- 55:30SPEAKER_00: That you like uh, you know, you might on a daily basis, weekly basis, whatever that you're like, huh?
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, can I say that?
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, it's you can say whatever you want.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 55:44SPEAKER_01: I I'm okay, you know, like I I having a glass of wine.
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna be hard on myself.
- 55:51SPEAKER_01: Have a glass of wine.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: You know, I love a good wine and and and uh and and that and that's okay.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Unless it's it's unless we're cutting out of the protocol and and it's absolutely you cannot have it during this you know period of time, but uh you know what?
- 56:08SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: Life's too short.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: We're we're I mean I I drink and I you know it's this it's interesting.
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: I heard someone online recently say because this whole non-drinking, uh it's a very big thing right now.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: With uh I don't know what generation they all I I get I confused with the Gen Z and the whatever.
- 56:26SPEAKER_00: It's a big thing to not be able to do.
- 56:27SPEAKER_00: Right, right, right.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: Millennials, I think.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: Millennial, they're cal they're California sober, so that means they're doing other things.
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to judge.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: But you know, this woman online said what's interesting is with alcohol going down so much, people are also being way less social.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm not saying that you can't be social and be sober, 100%.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: You can be social and be sober.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: So not do not come for me.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: But they're just saying there is sometimes a pendulum swing so much.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: And I do, and I do think sometimes I can be this way is if I hibernate too long and I get too rigid, right?
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: And you know, with my with my sleep and with my sauna and with my workout and and I'm living like this, I'm tend to be the least healthy, if that makes healthy, if that makes sense.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: Well, for me, for me, it's a recovery.
- 57:10SPEAKER_01: What's your recovery, right?
- 57:12SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have a glass of wine, I'm gonna laugh.
- 57:14SPEAKER_01: But I know my but I know my recovery, right?
- 57:16SPEAKER_01: I know what to do to do next, and I know what I've done before to allow my body, be okay with it.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: So and I feel like, you know, just it's really being in flow.
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: And I feel like I I I try to the best I can stay in flow.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: And that means not being rigid anywhere.
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: I'm just, you know, I'm consistent, but I'm not rigid.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: And I feel like the old me was rigid and not fun.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: And like, I don't, I wouldn't, and when I'm around somebody that's too rigid, I'm like, oh, you are not my cup of tea right now because it triggers me.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, oh, I remember being like, no, or if my daughter starts to be that way, my 18-year-old, I'm like, girlfriend, get over here.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, we're not doing this.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: Like, life is to be lived, you know, you can eat the dessert.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, so we're on a tangent.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: Caesar's looking at me like, get off.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: Um, if you had to pick one peptide, what's your favorite peptide?
- 58:04SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 58:05SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, G H K C U, love, love, love.
- 58:09SPEAKER_01: That's my favorite so far.
- 58:11SPEAKER_01: Um, but but but there are others, so it's like, you know, it's like picking your favorite child, right?
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: I know, exactly.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: I can't pick it.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: My favorite peptide changes every month.
- 58:21SPEAKER_00: So you answer that correctly.
- 58:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, last question.
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: Where do you see yourself in 10 to 20 years?
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, in 10 to 20 years.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: Um I am uh kicking ass.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: I'm in the best shape.
- 58:36SPEAKER_01: I um still have my practice.
- 58:40SPEAKER_01: I I inspire others.
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: I um I don't know, I have these dreams too about, you know, um I don't know, leading retreats and working with more.
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: You need to come to my retreat next year, by the way.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: Hell yeah.
- 58:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:55SPEAKER_01: Uh traveling, enjoying, enjoying my family, but living my life to the fullest.
- 58:59SPEAKER_01: That's that's cool.
