- 0:00SPEAKER_00: What are you doing sitting on the fence?
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Are you going to take a jump?
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Are you going to sit on that fence for the entire year and have a sore ass from the builder screwing you?
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: It's up to you.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: What are you going to do?
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Simplified Sparky mentorship.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: This is going to be a rift podcast off the cuff.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: I've just got a few bullet points that I want to cover on this podcast.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And essentially, it is just to give you a behind-the-scenes sneak peek and just an insight into kind of what's happening behind the scenes in the Simplified Sparky mentorship.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: So this time last year, I started working with a coach because, like me in my electrical business, before I got coaching in my electrical business, I was stuck.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I was in the fins.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: I didn't have any direction.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I was kind of winging it.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: I was just going doing jobs, not making any money.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: The bank account wasn't reflecting all the effort and work I was putting in.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And it was just a few small tweaks and changes that I had to do in my business and better how I run the business, how I thought mentally about a lot of things.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And a lot of it is just belief shifting your mindset to believe in yourself and believe in your business.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: And that severely helped my electrical business.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Now, over the years, 10 years I'll be in business in February for my electrical business, and I have learnt a lot of lessons.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I've learned a lot of stuff the hard way.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: And what I'm seeing inside in the mentorship is I'm preventing people from doing things the hard way.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Like one of the members is absolutely killing it.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: All the members are doing what I'm asking.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: They're putting in the effort, they're putting in the yards.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Everybody's at different stages.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: But this one particular member, I have critiqued his business name, he's changed it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I've critiqued the sign writing on his vehicle, he's changed it.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I've critiqued his website.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Even though his website developer disagreed with me, I told him to fuck off.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Alan said do this, and you're not doing anything about it.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: So now he's making the change on his website because I've got experience and analytics and data of the correct stuff that you need to be doing in your website.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And I don't care about some wet behind-the-years junior developer who's heard in college.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: You need to build rapport.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: You need to get people to know, like, and trust you.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: That's what they taught me in college.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: How about real fucking world situations, which is what I've been dealing with the last 10 years, being told you're expensive to your face, that kind of stuff.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: We need to basically implement what's happening in the real world into your business that it's just going to be well-run, smooth operation in the background between your job management software and handling your clients before, during, and after stage of your business.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: This all started really as a pipe dream of like fuck it, I want to do something.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: So what happened was I found a coach who I have the utmost praise for.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: He's not, he's nothing to do with electrical, he's just more so a different coach for what we call creators, which is quite cringy.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's basically what I'm doing on Instagram.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And why I am doing it that way is obviously to get your attention.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: That's why I do podcasts, is to get your attention to get you to come to me if you do need some help with your electrical business.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And what that's done working with that coach is it's opened my eyes into what I had to change in my business.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And you should see that the blatant graph of where using a coach for me has gone into play is if you look at the statistics and analytics of my podcast, it's just that a lull.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: And then this time last year, it was like November, December uh 2024.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Um, you can just see the graph rocket up because I follow what the coach told me, and because of that, I had so many people reaching out to me.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I had four or five diehards that were consistently messaging me, emailing me, saying, When are you starting?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: When are you starting?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: When are you doing your thing?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And like only for them, hand in heart, only for those people poking me, messaging me, telling me like they want to work with me, I probably still would be on the fence right now, not doing what I need to be doing, what I am doing now with the members.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And this is this is the thing is I started this Simplified Sparky mentorship in the on the financial year.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: They started the financial year, which was July, uh, July 1st or July 8th, I think the members came in in 2025.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: And we started with a small group of guys in there, and I fucking love it.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: I absolutely love it.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: It's it's just it's my calling, it's what I love doing.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I love looking at people's problems in business and going, like, you need to change this, you need to change that.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: How do you quote?
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: This is how I quote, what's being wrong, what's wrong here?
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: There's too much information in that email.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Change that line item, change that price, etc.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: This is how you attract clients, this is how you convert clients, this is how you retain clients with your email marketing system, etc.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: etc.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: So fast forward, we've got 11 guys in there currently, and this is the main reason for this podcast as well.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Is I set out a target.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: I set out a target, I put down stuff on a vision board, and what what seems to be woo-woo is coming to fruition at the moment.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Of I set out a target for 20 members in this financial year, and I'm on target.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And the reason behind this podcast is I know a lot of you listen and you're like, I love the podcast, this and that, and you're sending me messages.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: And the reason for this podcast is I'm gonna be blatantly open about this and blunt that I want to build simplified sparky mentorship to a copable amount of people.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: I'm talking 20 people at the moment, maybe 20 more, but I realize that I've been part of groups and memberships where there's too many members in there, it gets chaotic, there's shit going everywhere, you don't know what's going on, it's just fucking chaotic, and I don't want that for my members.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: So, what I am doing with this is I am being very selective, firstly, of who comes into the group.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: You have to be a driven individual.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: You can't be a shit kicker that you're like, oh, if I join, will I just instantly get Google ads flowing to my account?
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: I don't even talk about ads.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: We don't want to do ads.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: We want to maximize your organic system of your business, that you're getting leads in organically, that when you exhaust all the organic stuff in your business, all the holes are plugged in your job management software, your follow-ups, your email nurture, your SMS nurture, how you handle leads, how you deliver your quotes, etc., all of that is ironed out.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: That's when you start thinking about ads.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I don't want to fucking hear about ads until you're ready to do that.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: And on that note as well, there is an ads module coming.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: There is a load of little mini modules coming that from experience with working with these guys, I can see their issues, I can see commonalities in their issues that I am now going to build micro courses to suit those.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: For example, I'm consistently going on about getting a virtual assistant because I've got two in my business.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: So, what I'm gonna be doing is creating a micro um how to hire a virtual assistant course that it could be an hour long, it could be two hours long, it might be 15 minutes long, but it will give my members an insight to go, fuck, I need to get a virtual assistant.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: What do I do?
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: You click on this little short course, there'll be digestible steps.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Just like my podcast, if you're a listener of the podcast, I basically keep these short sweets straight to the point.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I don't harp on for an hour of your time to give you 10 minutes of information.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: So it's better to give you 10 minutes of information in 10 minutes.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: So, with that as well, I have seen little gaps, little holes that my members need.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And this is an evergreen thing that is going to be built.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: It's going to be a library of when you need this stage, you go here.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: For example, you've got everything ironed out, you want to run Google Ads.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: There's going to be a basic Google ads and a basic Facebook ads, how to set them up uh course coming as well.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: And why I'm saying about the 20 members is 20 is the target I've got set in my head.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Because just like my electrical business, I'm going to start getting very picky with this.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: So, what's going to happen at the 20 member mark is I'm going to jack the price.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I'm possibly going to double the price.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Because I can.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: And why I'm going to do that, and it's something I stress with you as well as the electrician, is hypothetically, if you're charging$100 an hour and you're working off hourly rate and you work 40 hours a week, that's four grand.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: But why don't you charge$200 an hour and you work 20 hours a week?
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: You've made the same money.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: So that's my principle and my mentality going in past 20 members is I'm going to possibly double the price, work with less people, and make the same money.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So I am aiming to get to 20 and I will be getting to 20.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And why I'm putting this podcast out there is it's the end of the year, guys.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: This is the time where you um and awe, you wrap it up, you have your Christmas, you're depressed eating your turkey, going, Fuck, this was a shit year.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna do better next year, I'll have a better new year next year.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: That that builder might get quicker with his paying, or that strata that's really shitting demanding, might get a nicer manager.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: All of that stuff brews up at the end of the year.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And new year, new me, let's start 2020, 2026 with the hitting the ground running.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Just like a gym membership, you start with good intentions and you start in January and you're going to the gym, and then two weeks go by, you miss a session, you miss a second session, you miss a third session, and before you know it, that gut is getting bigger than ever.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And it's the same thing with this.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: And what this is mainly, all a coach is or all a mentor is is it's accountability, it's accountability, and right now it's a community of awesome fucking guys.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm as I said, I'm picky with people that come in because unless you're driven or you show that you're driven or you're going to put in the work, I don't want to work with you straight up.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And I know there's coaches and communities out there that if you've got a heartbeat or a pulse, they will let you in.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: And what that does is it causes carnage within the community, and you've got guys that are different levels, and you've got guys asking, I wouldn't say silly questions, no such thing as silly questions, but it's like stuff that it's like I've told you this, you're not, you know, you're not paying attention, kind of thing.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And like the guys that are in my community are fucking awesome because basically, if you're a diehard of the podcast, that's how they've all come in.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: Is they've listened to the podcast, they've resonated with a lot of things, a lot of issues that they've had in their business that I've had with my business.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: And this is what I'm doing is like I want like I've I've discovered that my niche, like it's very important to know your niche, my niche are the small guys.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: I'm here to help the small guys, so I'm talking about solo operators who are in business um on their own, or perhaps one to four staff members, but you're just fucking spinning wheels in your business and you're clueless of what to do.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: That is what I am all about.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: And even at the moment, guys that are transitioning from employment into um into starting their own business because it's a it's a big unknown.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And again, I've spotted this as a this is something that's needed by members.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: So, what I've started developing inside in the portal is how to transition from employment into starting your own business.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: I'm talking everything from getting roof racks in your van to getting your insurances to getting your electrical license to getting your fucking van racked out to getting it, everything insured, public liability, workers' comp.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: What's professional indemnity insurance?
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: All of that, because I see it's an issue, and I that's that's who I want to work with.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And this is an asset that is going to help future members that are coming in as well.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: And that is something that's that's being brewed.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: And as I said, this is going to be a library of useful, short, digestible stuff that when you go, shit, I need that now, that then it's going to be there for you.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: And that's that's very important to me, is like not just building this thing, being a greedy bastard, taking money.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: The reason like I'm not even I'm making money in this at the moment, but my income is coming from my electrical business.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: I don't I'm not being greedy, like, I'm not taking everybody's money that will knock on the door.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: I'm being very picky with who comes in.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And the reason is my income is coming from my electrical business, but when I get to 200 members, I may be getting rid of my electrical business.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So that's the way I'm looking at it, and that is that is basically the story with the Simplified Sparky mentorship.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: How it operates is very simple.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: We've got two softwares.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: We've got the content housed in one software, and we've got the communication housed in another software, just to have segregation, have a bit of divide and to keep things calm and keep things chilled out.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Now, I've been part of platforms and coaching before where you've got 16 calls during the week, they're at 2 p.m., they're at 11am, they're about this, they're about that, they're about pointless, absolute garbage, and you're like, that was a waste of my time.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: So every week we have one call once a week, and that's all the calls we have.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: And at the start, depending on how you operate or how you roll when you're joining in, there are calls with me, and we get you on the right road uh to to basically iron out your business.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: And what this whole thing is, is a roadmap.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Everybody, you don't head to, I don't know, whoop whoop in your car without entering it into the GPS.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: What this is is a GPS for your business, is I am confused about this, and like it all links back to everything, links, everything goes in tandem inside in Simplified Spark.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And that's why I've made the modules in such a way.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Because if you don't, if you skip ahead and do one thing and you don't do the thing part prior to that, you're not gonna know.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Like, for example, if you skip ahead to your messaging, but you haven't done your target market, you're you don't know what messaging is gonna speak to your target market, and it goes on to your lead handling, your lead converting, your client retention, um, delivering a world-class experience, etc.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: etc.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: There's a load of modules in there, and this is the thing is we are now about to enter into 2026.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: And my question to you is what's what's this time next year gonna look like?
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna be on the fence again?
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: Or are you gonna be like, Fuck it, I should have joined that thing.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Well, look, if you're interested, um, I'm an open book, I'm I'm blunt, I kick my members up the ass as well.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So if you don't like being given out to, I wouldn't apply either.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: In a nice way.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Like I grill people if they don't do things and they try to pull a sneaky, I will pull you up on it.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: And that's a good thing.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: That is a really, really fucking good thing because that is what a coach does, what my coach does to me.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: I remember whinging to my coach when I had 80 followers on Instagram saying, like, I posted this.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Why doesn't why didn't it like how come I don't have any more followers?
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Like I legitimately did this, and he goes, You need to fucking post more.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: And I said, Fair enough.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: So then I posted and posted and posted, and then I got traction, and all I needed at the time was a fucking kick up the ass, and it worked.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah, that was a stupid question from me, and I needed that kick up the ass to actually do implement and post, and I did, I posted consistently, and now I've got 11 fucking legends inside with me, and wondering if you're gonna be the next person in there.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: And with this, the finale is with the 20 members that come in now, you're gonna be the alumni.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: So whenever I release a new course, it's gonna be part of the package.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Whenever I anything new comes out, you're in for a pound, in for a penny.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: You get everything.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: So once you're in there and anything new gets released or anything fucking happens, you will get that.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: And it most likely will be the case with the future members who are going to be paying double or triple once I hit that magical 20.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: So, guys, there's nine spots left now.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: What are you going to be like next year?
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And I don't like these sales y podcasts, but I think this is an appropriate time at the end of the year because it's it's that kick up the ass that you need.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: I am going to leave a link underneath, and if you are interested, uh just quickly fill out the expression of interest, I suppose you would call it.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And I'll chat to you again next week.
