- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: I also think last week I don't even think I said John's last name correctly like I.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: You guys, you got close.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's really important.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I went to speech therapy.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a child.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: I had a stutter.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: I had a list.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: I do think I'm the slightly dyslexic.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: I
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing the best I can here.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: Good job, great thing.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: Kicking ass.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Today is September 18th, 2025, and it's World Water Monitoring Day.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I got some fucking neighbors on monitoring.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, every year around a hundred buildings come together to honor World Water Monitoring Day.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: It just rolls off the tongue.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you think?
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: water as we've been learning since a young age is an extremely important source for keeping all living beings alive and well, you can go without food for a long period of time about three weeks, but your body will most likely start showing signs of show you not if you haven't had enough water intake for even a short period of time, about three to four days.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even go fucking three to four hours without some water.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I just so you know, if I'm ever kidnapped and tortured, I don't think I'm going to make it three days.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: done a drown.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to die.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: The human body is after all made of 60 to 70% of water.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: We're like cucumbers, everyone.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Water is so important.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: I have, I have cucumbers more than 60% water.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: What are so important that much of the space exploration budget is solely dedicated to finding water sources on other planets?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Huge chunk of the Earth's ecosystem.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: The cucumbers are 90 to 96 percent water.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we're not like a cucumber.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: But we should act like being tell you see it as a cucumber guys.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: A huge chunk of the Earth's ecosystem is also made of water with countless organisms dependent on it.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, things like water pollution and climate change are threatening our water sources, which is why it has become more important now than ever to regularly monitor the water bodies around us.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: I kept entering the inner marketing myself, but I just want to say like, I did do a whole thing.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: You can drown yourself if you drink too much water.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: You can, it's called hyponitrania.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Neutrania, nitrania, hyponotrania.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Neutrania, anyways, it's the opposite and so.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the deal.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: You do like sodium levels in your blood become of normally love because you're looking like cyclists or marathon runners or not just drinking water they have electrolyte in it.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: You AKA their salt.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure that you be able to see like cucumber but put some salt in your water.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Also, while we're at it, research the companies who are putting salt in your water because some of them are dickheads.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them don't believe in science, which is pretty fucked up considering that they're fucking scientific.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're supposed to be scientific and what they're doing.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think we can call one out.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Elemente apparently supports Mahat and I'm pretty pissed off.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: The two founders are like blockstep with RFK doing, you know,
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, anyways, I'm pissed off because I really liked it.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: However,
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: The great thing about being cooking and like algorithms following us is I use Brad's phone several times the research different companies that are not elementy that don't have stevia or sugar and not only do we come up with a few because of like a chat bottle of Brad's.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: But now he's getting ads for some and I think one of the ad you got is brilliant.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really excited about it.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's a shame because I really like their product.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: It was actually really great.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was really great, but you know, it still is great.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: But they're our disagree with Larry.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Since they don't believe in science,
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: But also, since they don't believe in science, there's probably a better scientific, like, light's out there.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna find those, and once we do, you'll know, cause I'll just make us an affiliate and we'll start off from the rooftops, but my fucking goodness, protect your water, make sure, like, look, make sure that even if you live in a place where the water is abundant, we were, I could not believe how much water is an Idaho.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I could not believe the amount of water I'd have had.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, no one, thank you.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: California is like just wasting water.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's no water.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like when you live in the southwest when you live on the west like it's not exactly like It's a desert.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I know.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, we happen in Vegas.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: We found out like When we use water out of our faucets and our sinks and our showers like 98% of that or something like that is actually able to be reuse like cleaned and all that stuff.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: So like that's really not what the percentages but
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was over 90.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're very intense in Nevada about water conservation and we're doing a great job in Nevada because specifically Las Vegas.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because our population has increased ridiculous amounts and we've decreased our water consumption.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the fact that people are fighting for their fucking green lawns pisses me off because unless you live, where it rains all the time, then by all means, like, lawn away.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: But like, if you don't, you know, lawns don't even capture water.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that was a shocking news to me.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: They don't think grass does is look pretty.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: Looks pretty.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: So, lately I'm against golf courses, but at it, I can look if water is natural where you are and it rains and it can keep grass as green.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: The have them, but why are we doing the grass in the desert?
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: It pisses, like those kinds of things are stupid.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: They don't make sense.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: It just going with our, you know, talk about believe in science.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, at BTC, we believe in science.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: We just got back from UK, literally two days ago.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: We are home, are catching up on work, we're filming stuff for OPC, we're recording stuff for this podcast, and then we're going to, this is our tour.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna go to Chicago.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be POT for a balanced body in Chicago Land and Burridge.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna celebrate our anniversary together.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: 10 fucking years married, holy moly.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: You believe that?
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's insane.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was like, are you still here?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:59[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: So 10 years married.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then from Chicago, we're going to go to Cambodia.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to run our retreating Cambodia.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited for the Epic humans.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to hang out with the Cambodia.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be so.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then we're going to head up.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Singapore, on our way home, I'm teaching a workshop there.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Go to crosenessretreats.com for retreat info.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're, if this one is too close because it literally is a couple weeks away, no problem.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Get on the weightless.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're not spontaneous.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: But they can't be spontaneous.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're a lot to be spontaneous.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: But also like doing an international trip within a month can be challenging.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I understand that.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Recognize that if my mom's friend did it in two weeks.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: She did, you're 100% right.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: And you should do that to drop your life and come join us.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: If that's not an option, then come join us next year.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: We were gonna be doing this again in October of next year.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be announcing all the dates in January.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: So go to the website, go to the website and get yourself on the wait list.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Go to crosnestertrees.com.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Then.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: On our way home, go to Singapore.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then we come home, we hang out for a month, Brad's parents are finally visiting.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's only been 10 years.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Just for a moment of the best.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: They're lovely people.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, we love them very much.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I just love this 10 year vacation that we're on.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's been 10 years.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Every 10 years.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's just them.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, well, and now it's the winter tour and it's on October 1st, actually.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: So the winter tour is gonna release before we leave for Chicago.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: So you wanna be on the wait list.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: OPC.me, such events to make sure you get that link.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Also, 26 is literally around the corner.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: We come home from winter tour, IT to the Ply's Expo journal.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's a yellow.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's an LA.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jason.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it is.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: What's self.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I just, that's an angelino.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: I have a really hard time saying that something is an LA when it's not an LA because it just feels like it's not an LA.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll be in Poland.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if you are wanting information about that, check out my Instagram account.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'll put that stuff up there.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get the links up here in an upcoming episode.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Before we get into Amber's amazing takeaways, what is our question this time, babe?
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: E-tain Pilates.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: I had a... Yeah, it's asking, legs in parallel, hip distance apart, legs together, zipped midline either or both.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: And this is... A footwork question.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: A footwork question.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so many footwork questions.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I'll just, and some of them are longer than I can type a character, count of Instagram.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So here is a deal, footwork.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: from Joe, if you're doing it, Joe's way on the reformer, or on the window chair, or on a catalac, or anywhere for work is you start with the else together, toes slightly apart.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're doing it Brad's way, you just put your feet completely 180.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he does his own way.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, don't do that.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: So don't do that.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, so slightly apartly, people like to say, apply as V, apply as V is not first position, so don't get them confused.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: There's actually in the first position, meaning dancing.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Dancing, it's a little, that's a little too externally rotated.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a slightly apart.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing is it's actually your neutral position of your femurs, like when the body is in neutral, your femurs are slightly turned out.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's what footwork toes is.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that's heels the other toes apart.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Then when you move to arches and heels, ideally,
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: You are zipped zipping the midline together.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: However, bodies are interesting shapes.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Some people have bone ankles.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some people have large calves.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Some people have thigh abundance.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are not need.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: So here is the deal.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you cannot zip your legs together and get everything to touch.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: So ankles, knees, thighs, what you can do is... Oh, the zips starts all the way down there.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, ideally, doesn't your zipper start at the bottom of your coat?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, whenever I hear that term, I think it's like, but it's time for my core.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: So like, from my, my belly button.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Zipping my ribs and, you know, or yeah, you could think that.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't think about it all the way down.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: We got to use our heels.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, from the bottom now we're here, babe.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: So we've got to start from the beat up.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: We are talking about footwork.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's true.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: But if you can't because of your body shape, balanced body makes a really cool thing called the liner.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: You can put that between your ankles or your thighs.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: They have two different ways you can use it.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's really, really cool.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have an affiliate link for that.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: We'll toss that in the notes.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: If that's, but if that's more than you need, because it is a little bit bigger, just roll a towel or get a little squishy ball and or get a yoga block or like get a get a dog's toy.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Put it between your the place in your body that has a hard time like that's touching like you don't like when your ankles touch or your knees knock, put it between something close the chain.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: So your inner thighs activate, it's really really important that the inner thighs activate so that you're not just using quads in your footwork, we want the inner thighs, want the hamstrings, want the glutes to work, so it's a full body exercise.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it's all of the things you asked had there, all of them.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's all of the things.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to dive in deep to footwork one, I think I'm teaching a workshop, I taught a workshop in the UK, so that's passed, missed out on it.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: But we have free tutorials on our YouTube channel, on any place you can do footwork and it's in our flashcards, and you can hear what I'm obsessed with it.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a question, go to, you can text us at 3-1-0, 9-5, 5-5-3-4, we're a plus one country code, I guess.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, plus one, read 1-0, 9-5-5-3-4, or go to bipod.com slash questions, you can submit a win or a question.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: I want to shut your wins out.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's what makes the Friday episodes fun is your wins.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: That is what does it if you should definitely be doing that.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: You should be, if you're not doing that, you're doing life wrong.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, y'all, we should have so many wins that we don't, we have to pick between them.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go step it up.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we have to be hard.com slash quiet.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what people, my wins not very big, or I don't want to take up space.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: You want to know something, that's what the fucking Patriarch wants.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: They want you to not take up space because if you're quiet and you're humble and you think your win isn't anything, then you,
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: they get at that easier time controlling you in your life.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: So take up space, celebrate your wins.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're inspiring other people to see what they can do, and it makes the world a fucking better place to live in.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: Ladies, take up some fucking space.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Shut up on my space.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Share a win.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, the link for the aligner is opc.me slash aligner.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: A liner.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: Good luck spelling that.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: There is a silent G. What's that comedian who like does a whole thing?
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like the saying the silent letters in the US and like my English language, I think we call a like nerd.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I don't know the comedian, but that's hilarious.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, go check it out.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, stick around.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about Amber Romaniac.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: Amber is an emotional eating digestive and hormone expert with over 11 years of experience and the host of the no sugar coating podcast, which boasts 1.9 million downloads over 500 episodes and is listened to in over 88 countries.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: Permission is to help guide women worldwide towards food and body
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: a state where they understand and address their physical hormonal digestive and blood sugar issues alongside the habits and mind sets that hinder their healing.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Her backstory is very involved with her mission today.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Her passion for helping women stem from her own profound struggles which began at a very young age.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: As some of it was learned from family, some of it was due to bullying.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: She shares a little bit about that on the interview.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: So if you haven't had a chance to go listen to that interview,
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely go hit pause, go back, listen to that.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's worth a listen.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: When she was a child, she developed an unconscious emotional connection to food and it revolved around sugar and processed foods and it led to full blown food addiction.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that's part of the story she shares.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's a bit shocking and it's also, you know, I actually think it's something that is very relatable and it's not just women who deal with this stuff.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as well, it food can become an addiction just like,
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: cigarettes like drugs like whatever working out can be an addiction yes for her food became an addiction yeah i just it's really interesting because i while we're on our tour i listen to like every podcast i could and i have actually ran out of episode solace into i think i can tell we're on tour later in an episode i found this podcast was about a camp
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: that heavy way to the base off of, actually.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: And podcast series is really, really cold, called Camp Shame, you want to listen to it and they did a really great job explaining how historically vennis became associated with healthiness and how, especially in the US, but in most Western cultures, we have really fucked people up by, including our medical world,
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: You just have to lose weight, and that has created these food addictions, and these other ways of adding disorder addictions, and I think it's just I think losing weight certainly can be the solution, but how could it possibly always be the solution.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and that's exactly it because like, and a lot of people who do have do have a little bit more weight on them.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: doctors always like, oh, go lose some weight first before they even like listen to their fucking symptoms.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so then their issues get worse.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, all this to say, I really enjoy that I really like when people are willing to share their stories of healing and then how they're going because I think it's so important to normalize these conversations so that
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: people can realize that first of all, your weight often has zero to do with width of your health.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: And we know that now, we have a lot of them more information now than we did before because actually of science and people studying these things.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: And... Can you explain that because that's not intuitive.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: How is it that your weight could be?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, your weight has to have something.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: So first of all, everybody thinks the BMI is like your insurance companies will use your BMI to discernment if you're healthier or not.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: And what your insurance should be, your BMI was actually never supposed to be used for what health is the scientists who did it was for another reason.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it was only sitting on men.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: And BMI means your height to weight ratio.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, a bodybuilder could have what would be considered obese BMI.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: because they could be short and huge right.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: They're intentionally.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: But their their muscles and their body fat percentage is quite low.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Right versus somebody who's the same height and maybe even the same weight, but doesn't work out.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: But but by the way, we're we're acting like that guy with muscles is healthier than the guy without muscles because we have been conditioned to think that that is healthy.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: That person might be on steroids.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: They might be under eating.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then the other thing is, is that like a lot of our health conditions are actually genetic versus, you know, a lot of things and different races have different body shapes.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're saying, oh, if you're not heroin chic.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: then there's something wrong with you because the best way to describe the way that the 90s thought health and wealth and beauty was like fucking pencil pencil thin those girls were eating cotton balls soaked in orange juice literally you can go watch documentaries on this like that is how they were staying the shape that they needed to be to make money and then we're all chasing the stream when our bodies actually don't want to look like that they don't that's not healthy and so
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: And anyway, health signs of good health, your weight is like truly not one of them unless you are on the very, very, very ends of a spectrum, but in the middle, there is a wide range of health that could be and your outside appearance is rarely able to in to it.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: significant indicator of what your health is.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: We have to look at your sugar levels.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: We have to look at like do you digest sugar?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Are you digesting your food?
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: Are you absorbing nutrition?
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like your microbiome is a better signifier of health than your weight on the scale.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's really fascinating because we have a humongous population of women and men who are raised to think that I just have to be thinner.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so there's a lot of people, a lot of people listen to podcasts who probably struggle with.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: I was at the gym today, right?
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: And this woman, she is so, so sweet, she looks so cute.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, yeah, she's like, I'm carrying 30 pounds more because I'm injury.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And like, the fact that she felt like she had to tell me that, because she's a plies instructor, and so she's like, yeah, I was like, who cares?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I live at her, who cares?
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: You are having the most fun.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: You're rocking your plies, practice who cares?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: So the point is, all this to say,
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: We, this country is fucked up and how it thinks of health and so people are worrying about the scale says versus like going to their doctor, getting their lungs listen to, getting their heart listen to, getting their blood checked and then researching like, what is what's in range, hormone, hormone health, that's kind of stuff, but like we're we're so obsessed with what the scale says versus like, what does your blood fucking say?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Which about say so anyways back to Amber she said we get comfortable in our comfort zones of suffering and I think this is really really important a lot of us are afraid of being on the other side of whatever our addiction or whatever our thing is because
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Suffering is comfortable.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know it, we know what to expect.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: We like certainty.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: We'll hear more about certainty in a couple weeks with Brad Bizjack, but like we like knowing these things.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: But we have to, our comfort zone of suffering is not uncomfortable enough for us to want to get out of it.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: She said, we continue to do what it's familiar because it feels safe to your brain.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: You can listen to a Hendrix or read his book about like your brain, like wanting to be in comfort zone.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: We will sabotage, right?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: She described being terrified of the unknown.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: This is, I'm familiar with this.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you're so terrified of like the unknown that you're like, I'll just stick in my suffering because the other side, the thing that I want is actually scary because I don't know what's going to feel like.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: And but she said the suffering became bigger.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: the fear of change and that is so key.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like sometimes we just have to figure out what that's going to be for us and she said your healing is one of the most valuable journeys you can choose because going to help you grow and evolve in ways you can't even imagine.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is so important like whatever is going on in your life.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you're feeling overwhelmed by what's going on in the world because you've got stuff in your own life going on, it is your number one priority to heal yourself, to go figure out like who what what people, what services, what you need to heal so that you can go out there in the world and be this amazing evolved human who helps in supports and inspires other people.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, so many good things in there.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: What did you love?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was digging where she's talking about your actual body is always trying to heal.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter where you are in your life cycle.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: And what she was talking about, what she was referencing there was...
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: the different like hormonal stages of a female body, specifically with the perimenopause, metapause, you know, post.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: She said, however, we have to look at what is in the way of healing.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not not even just those stages, but, you know, your mindset is so much a part of this healing, right?
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: And whether you're seeing doctors
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we can contribute to the fix that we may be getting from an expert, right?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: But our mindset and our habits, the behaviors that we have, she said, she also, you know, when it comes to age and certain ages, right, I know from just being around people who are older than me.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have this idea that they're set in their ways, and there's nothing that could be done about it, and that's not true.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like it doesn't matter how old you are, you can start to create change.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: And the way that we think about ourselves and think about the change and the hope and the shift in our health, will contribute significantly to whatever actual, like,
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, whether we change our sleep or our food or our workout or our you know supplements or whatever any of that but the way we think about it is going to change is going to support that yes or it's going to make it effective right well we talked about those habits right we have a whole habit series coming out by the way in December.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll dive in more there but like if you shame yourself after doing making a mistake and a change you want to make your mind mindset will keep you from making those changes again.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like you will not be able to do it even though your body wants to do it even though you say you want to do it like how your mindset is absolutely a huge part of making the changes and allowing your body to heal because your body wants to do it but you're you're getting in the way.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and also your mindset of your provider, right?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to change a provider, but the response that you mentioned earlier, oh, just go lose some weight first, and then we will do X, Y, and Z. Yeah.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, that's some bullshit.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fucking cool.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's such a cop-out.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: I knew a provider.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: And like, if you're getting told something like that, you absolutely can go get a second of pain.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can also tell them.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, I've already have, like, I'm one of the FIFs, I think I actually brought up like things that you can say to a doctor, but like, and unfortunately people who are in what's considered a larger body, you might have to say to the doctor.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: But I want you to know, come into this, I've already lost X amount of weight.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: I have had this pain for this long.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, no matter who you are, even if weight is not a thing, you're gonna have to say how long things happen because some doctors do not take some symptoms.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Seriously, it tells me it's significant at a time.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's think about this here.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like from the perspective of a doctor, it's a puzzle.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: You are a puzzle to them.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: And they like figuring out puzzles and they've educated themselves in a crazy way over many, many, many, many years to understand all the variables that are involved.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, but they're still human, right?
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to do what brains do, which is the fastest, easiest,
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: way to find the answer the solution.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's what their brain is doing for them.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to look at it and go, well, step one is, is it fucking plugged in, right?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: Just like any of the stupid customer service calls.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: So what are they going to say?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: They say, well, you're clearly overweight.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: So go lose some weight, right?
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the easy answer for them.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: But there's more to it than just that.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: But they can say, well, this is definitely something that has to be solved anyway.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: It could be a very likely contributor to whatever the problem is that you have.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: So what are they going to do?
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to go to the easiest answer first.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there could be far more to it.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: Or if you can give them a clearer picture of the puzzle, you can already say, this is how long this thing's been happening.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: I have already lost X amount of weight.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: I have already done these other things.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I have already changed my eating, my sleeping, my this.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yet the problem persists now, they have a clear picture of the puzzle.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: And they can go, hmm, the easy is it plugged in response does it work here?
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: What's the next thing on my mental checklist of things?
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right, so it's really important to be communicative.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's important to be paying attention to yourself.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's important to have those numbers and statistics and like, you know, things that you've already tried and to share that information, yes, because otherwise you're going to get the is it plugged in and they don't and to their to also like
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: to be on their side.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: They have to see a ridiculous number of patients in a day.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: They have their given six minutes with you.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so the more you can have your thoughts organized, listen to the episode with Lindsey Moore and also Jessica Belont on like advocating for yourself and healthcare.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: But like,
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: have these notes because it will help your healing process if that's the right you have to go.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going around of a therapist or something like that, find one like it might take a few different people and I know that's annoying.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know like when you're when you're are suffering and you're finally ready to make a change, you can be fucking annoying to start over week after week with a different therapist until you find what you like, but you have you owe it to your future self.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: and you owe it to the people that you're going to change their life by being yourself.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, think about it from the perspective of a Pilates teacher or fitness coach or whatever.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you are in the Pilates world, what we always coach our clients through agency, we say not, you're not for everyone and that's okay.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: The therapist are for everyone, and that's also okay.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to connect the same way with every person, but there is going to be one or more than one person that you're going to be like, oh my gosh, I totally vibe with this person.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you'll be willing to connect with them in a better way.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: Doctors are the same way.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like, so anyway, the Lindsey Moore episode is episode 177, and who else did you say?
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Jessica Valant, her first episode.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jessica Volon is episode 39.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: So go back and check out those interviews.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: Both will be very helpful and supportive for this conversation as well.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, the, I, I think that,
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, to sum this all up, if you're frustrated with the attention or lack of attention that you're getting from your provider, you are allowed to advocate for yourself.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: No one is going to advocate for you unless you hire someone to advocate for you or engage someone to advocate for you or maybe you have a family member who's willing to to play that role, but you can advocate for you and it's also okay to go get a second opinion and to dig deeper, you know, you're allowed to do that, you know.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: She said, we need to re-condition ourselves to normalize investing in our health.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: And what she's specifically talking about in that is that she's Canadian.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: They do have health care as a country.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: She said, just because we get health care doesn't always mean that it's great health care, right?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: When she started having these deeper conversations with her doctors,
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: She started cutting out some of the middleman and paying to go directly to the experts, right, because she said, well, I couldn't get the referral, but I disagree with them.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: I went to someone else and just because the way the system is structured, it wasn't an option.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I had to go.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: straight to the expert and that meant I had to pay out pocket and that sucks because I did have I do have access to healthcare system however that wasn't that wasn't solving my problem and and I think in the United States the irony is we still have to fucking pay for things anyway because our insurance system is so backwards so
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I would say, you know, I agree with her that we need to recondition ourselves to normalize investing in our health.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's exactly why we encourage people to go work out.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then you know what, call your fucking Congress person and tell them how much you had invest, tell them what you want to see changes are.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: They work for us.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: And every country that you have some sort of voting system, the person who represents you is supposed to work for you whether you voted for them or not.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: So like be something in there like be a be in their fucking bonnet about it.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: And but but first you have to heal yourself and that does unfortunately there's like a statistic that it's like a ridiculous amount of money that women will spend on their health care versus men because we are often getting second opinions because unfortunately they didn't study
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think women also live longer than men.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe there's something to it.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get married.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's like a lot.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a fuck ton of study.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Wait a minute.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: So it says if you're basically the science is, if you're a man, you need to be married because you'll live longer.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're a woman, you should not get married because you will live longer.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just like really interesting thing that like,
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: women actually provided we still get to have our credit cards and our bank account and vote, you know, we will live longer if we just live by our like live on our own or live on a commune with each other, uh, what was that?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry babe, I love you, but I love me too, so okay.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: I stick around.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to dig into those action items.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Those be it action items that we got from Amber from Maniac.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about those be it action items.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: What bold, executable intrinsic or targeted action items can we take away from your conversation with Amber?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: She said, hey, the best habits for hormone and digestive health, start getting into a mindful eating practice and start having good sleep hygiene.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: And what she was specifically saying about mindful eating practice, this is really interesting y'all because we're glued to our phones.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just as guilty of this, like 100%, she said, for eating, put down your phone, sit and eat your food, mindfully.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: What does she actually mean by that?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: She said, well, there's two elements to eating.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: And we're distracting ourselves from one of the two elements when we're not focused on eating or those two elements.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: There's the physical state of eating and then there's the emotional state of eating.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: And if we are not paying attention to our food.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's very high chance that emotionally we won't even realize it and we will just keep eating because we don't emotionally think feel you know that we're full right and also there's still that that element with the physical you know you're not necessarily paying attention to your stomach you're paying attention to your phone right so you could just keep going past the point of being full.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I just thought it was really interesting.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the first time we've heard this.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I think Dr. Kelly Bender also mentioned eating and putting your fallen away and just focusing on eating.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: Can't remember which interview that was because she's been with us for a few.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: But by you can go listen to him.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she was an episode 41 and 183 Dr. Kelly Bender.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll put those links in the show notes, but she mentions the same thing.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like, put your phone away while you're eating.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I never thought about it as a mindful practice, but disconnect from that technology.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: And she said, same goes with sleeping.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, we've talked about this before.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know you sleep.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: Put your phone away.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, actually sleep.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not mindfully sleeping, but like preparing for sleep, like actually preparing for sleep.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I know you went through a couple different extreme things where you would leave your phone in the other side of the house.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I still want to do that.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just haven't figured out.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: How to do that stuff too because their phones are our alarms all the things, but like you know disconnecting from tech She said 15 30 minutes before going to bed, you know, and then also she said sleeping before 11 p.m.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Especially for women because optimal hormone balance occurs between 11 p.m.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: and 1 a.m.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't actually know how that statistic comes to be.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think everybody is a little bit different and so
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we all have our own sleeping patterns.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's important to understand your own circadian rhythm, a tool that we use to help us find ours has been a ring.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like the ring that monitors your heart, your health, your blood, you know, your blood, all that kind of stuff, your blood pressure.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and then it actually can identify your natural rhythm.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: I have to find out where that is because I do, there is an information that our liver also does its own like clean,
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: two to four a.m.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: and so that's why a lot of people get up at two in the morning having to pee like it's actually like there are there are some things that the body just does at a certain time but up and also like two to four a.m.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: for me is not two to four a.m.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: for somebody else so that's what doesn't make sense like because of the time zones like so so I think I think there's like there's a there's like a guideline there but it
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think it's obviously different for every person.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: We live in different parts of the world.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: You can be a Lark.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: You can be up or whatever.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's got an owl.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: You don't, your hormones will be fine if you stay at past 11.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, level.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: She said, get your hormones tested.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: So get him test him multiple times, multiple times because they do change throughout the day, but also throughout your cycle and also find a doctor, if not working with Amber or from Jevity, find fucking someone who actually gives a fuck because it took me, I knew I did not have testosterone.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: for years and I had it took me forever to find someone who would fucking listen to me.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so it is annoying and you got to advocate for yourself, but you need to find someone who actually gives any facts about hormones.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: So whatever it is, find the person you're in, and guess it takes quite time.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: I know you're busy.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think we could talk about femme javity here.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you probably heard the commercials that we throw in occasionally here, but you know, Leslie's been working with a female telehealth medicine company that is only in the United States.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Canadians, but
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they have Amber, and anyway, you can be outside this state somewhere outside of Canada and work with Amber as well, of course, I guess, but yeah, do you got to find people so it so cannot tongue out at Amber or contact them, Jevy the contact interview people.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: Who, and see if they fit your vibe, do they understand what your goals are?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, does it make sense to them?
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: If they're not, it's okay.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like, oh my god, they're an asshole.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: They don't get me.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're not the right person for you.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're not the right person for you, or they don't have the time for you.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you can find somebody else.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, yeah, what about you becoming in tune and learning how to listen to your by the most powerful gift you can give yourself.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's kind of free guys as well.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a free.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: She said, do a self assessment.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: What acceptance are you experiencing?
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: Rate your intensity a one to attend to a federally commute with healthcare official professional.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: So you could just literally take notes on your phone.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: And when you wake up, you could just like ask yourself, like, how
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how do I feel when Mike's parenting right now?
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like in the morning, I'm experiencing a running notes.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's because I need to take myology medicine, right?
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like or, and then the afternoon, I'm waiting to sit down for lunch, you can go ahead.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_00]: What am I experiencing right now?
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, oh, my nose is still running.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this is not allergies, right?
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, and then after dinner, like, what?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's, instead, it could be part of your gratitude practice.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm grateful because I feel hot, I'm grateful because I feel tired, part of it, but start to rate it so that you have notes and you can start to see patterns and then when you actually do talk to healthcare professionals, they will, they can see that you are pain attention to yourself.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's really hard when you go, I don't know, it's been a while since I've been feeling this way.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Since when, they're going to know since when, because a while for some people is three days and for some people, it's three fucking years.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: You want to say, since January 27th, every night, I feel like this.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, that is an important information.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: Bill the self-care routine if we, I mean, we know that this is a big thing.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big fan of, you know, even if it's just sitting or slowing down and practicing art, I'm doing nothing, that's a great thing.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: That was a whole interesting part of the conversation.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: She said, we need to take 10 minutes and let you do nothing to regulate our nervous system every day.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought, ah, do I ever give myself time to do nothing?
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know why I've got a damn phone and I'm like scrolling Instagram.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm doing quote unquote relaxing, I'm still doing something.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: Also, even if, like here's the up, you can walk your dog, which is gonna be doing something, but then do nothing while walking your dog.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, but fine ways to get bored.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, our yoga teacher always said, well, it's because I'm bored.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you're so fucking lucky.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's one of the greatest things you could ever be as bored.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: And lastly, Amber advised us to be patient and compassion with our, your, yourself.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'd have built a friendship with your body.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: Woo.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: That one, that one.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you do nothing on this world, but like, build.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you ask like, how do we not be impatient when we aren't seeing immediate results?
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where she said, be compassionate with yourself.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you were your friend telling your friend, I'm not seeing x, y and z results.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: You, your friend would be like, okay, but how long has been okay, but he's been a week.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, like, it's like 40 years.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, yeah, so beef, if be nice, you're not a robot.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's taking a not being a robot.
