- 0:05Speaker 1: Apoday Production. Welcome to the She Rises Podcast. I'm Ashy
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm Tiana.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This podcast is.
- 0:15Speaker 3: About female empowerment and encouraging you to be your biggest, boldest,
- 0:18Speaker 3: and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Get ready for your next level of self. Hello everybody,
- 0:32Speaker 3: and welcome back to another episode She Rises.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And welcome back to Jana.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Welcome back Ashy.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Today's episode is a behind the scenes look into the
- 0:42Speaker 1: empire that we are building She Rises, because this is
- 0:46Speaker 1: not just a podcast. There is so much happening behind
- 0:49Speaker 1: the scenes and so many exciting plans and a lot
- 0:53Speaker 1: that we have to sacrifice, risk, put time and energy into.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And we obviously post a lot on social media talking
- 0:59Speaker 1: about our highlights and show the cool events and our
- 1:01Speaker 1: funny reels and etc. But we really will take you
- 1:03Speaker 1: guys behind the scenes because as normal as it seems,
- 1:06Speaker 1: it's amazing, but it can also be really challenging. I
- 1:08Speaker 1: think not a lot of people are talking about the sacrifice,
- 1:10Speaker 1: the time, the energy, the risk that has to go
- 1:12Speaker 1: into building something like this.
- 1:14Speaker 3: And we've had many conversations recently around the podcast and
- 1:17Speaker 3: the direction that we're going to be going in with
- 1:19Speaker 3: the podcast, and we figured maybe we should bring you
- 1:21Speaker 3: guys into the hard conversations that we've been having behind bless.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And how we navigate them, because it's really beautiful and
- 1:26Speaker 1: I'm really proud of us. Yeah, but before we get
- 1:28Speaker 1: into that share of the week, it's a Monday, what
- 1:30Speaker 1: have you got for us?
- 1:31Speaker 3: The product I want to recommend is like a gut
- 1:33Speaker 3: lining product, so it's good for leaky gut if you've
- 1:37Speaker 3: got gut issues, and I've really wanted to go on
- 1:39Speaker 3: that journey recently. So it's a product called Glutagenics by
- 1:42Speaker 3: the brand Metagenics, and honestly, it's been really good. I
- 1:46Speaker 3: have it twice a day and I just I'm excited
- 1:48Speaker 3: to get on the journey of healing my gut again.
- 1:50Speaker 2: And it actually tastes really good.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was so surprised you gave it to me the
- 1:53Speaker 1: other night. I don't know why you gave it to me.
- 1:55Speaker 3: It just could you stayed over and I pulled you out.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure. And I take our glutamine, which the
- 2:00Speaker 1: main ingredient in this is that glue to mine. I
- 2:02Speaker 1: how to look at the back, but it tastes like
- 2:03Speaker 1: lemon lime it it's so much better than playing algodon Wise.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Oh yummy.
- 2:07Speaker 1: How much was it? Do you remember?
- 2:09Speaker 3: I don't think it was more than sixty dollars. Yeah, okay,
- 2:11Speaker 3: it was around that price.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yeah. My recommendation is a sauna. And I know this
- 2:16Speaker 1: is a luxury to have a sauna at your house.
- 2:19Speaker 1: When I used to hear people say they have saunas
- 2:20Speaker 1: at the house, I was like, wow, that is a luxury.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It really is.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I know this is not something that everyone can afford. However,
- 2:27Speaker 1: it is so relaxing. I feel so calm, I feel
- 2:32Speaker 1: so good and I sleep better. It was been on
- 2:34Speaker 1: my wish list for so long. I got the brand Nook.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I didn't know which one to go because there was
- 2:38Speaker 1: so many saunas out there and so many good reviews,
- 2:41Speaker 1: and there's a lot that actually made him on the
- 2:43Speaker 1: gold Coroast different brands, but LEVI did all the research,
- 2:46Speaker 1: so anything he has or uses, I'm like fully trust.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So he got Anook one and he had his for
- 2:52Speaker 1: a couple of months, and I was like, do you
- 2:53Speaker 1: love it any feedback, should I get one? He was
- 2:55Speaker 1: like absolutely, it's amazing. So I ended up getting one,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I got a three person one. If make had
- 3:00Speaker 1: one two, Oh, I got the three person one because
- 3:02Speaker 1: she said the one is quite small and the two
- 3:05Speaker 1: is more too. The three just gives me lots of space.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And Steve and I have them together sometimes and I
- 3:10Speaker 1: love it. And I also ended up collaborating with them,
- 3:12Speaker 1: which is really cool.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I work with them.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So if you guys have been looking at getting one,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you can use Ashy Bynes as a code and we'll
- 3:18Speaker 1: get use money off. And it's made here in Crumblin
- 3:21Speaker 1: on the Gold Coast. They come and deliver it. They
- 3:23Speaker 1: set it all up. Take the rubbish away service it
- 3:25Speaker 1: if you need to. And it's infrared, it's got blue tooth.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's really comfortable, it looks cute. I love it. Oh
- 3:32Speaker 1: my god, I need I love it. I need to
- 3:34Speaker 1: get one installed. Yeah, so do our names. The other
- 3:35Speaker 1: day is if you everyone to use it, just let
- 3:37Speaker 1: me know and I can turn it on. You can
- 3:38Speaker 1: just come by the side gate and jump in. Oh
- 3:40Speaker 1: it's just the best, so good. Yeah, I'm not pushing
- 3:43Speaker 1: it yet, just because I'm only a couple of months
- 3:44Speaker 1: post surgery, and I don't want to put my body
- 3:47Speaker 1: under too much stress while I'm still recovering from that.
- 3:49Speaker 1: But it just feels so good. I want to be
- 3:52Speaker 1: going in a minimum three times a week to really
- 3:54Speaker 1: feel the benefits long term.
- 3:56Speaker 3: When you said that, what's his name, Andrew Huberman? He says,
- 4:00Speaker 3: if you go in anywhere between two and four times
- 4:02Speaker 3: per week, just for thirty minutes at a time, you
- 4:05Speaker 3: decrease your risk of cardiovascular disease by fifty percents.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Wild Pole that do Saunas live longer? Oh yeah, it's
- 4:12Speaker 1: gonna be us. I love it alrighty. So we've got
- 4:17Speaker 1: a lot going on we do. If you follow us
- 4:19Speaker 1: on socials, you would have seen we just had our
- 4:21Speaker 1: second live event. We've just booked our third one, which
- 4:23Speaker 1: is coming October seventeenth here in Brisbane at the Powerhouse
- 4:27Speaker 1: and we're so excited. It's our first live podcast events.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So if you haven't got tickets, get them. And then
- 4:32Speaker 1: we've got a lot of other things in the plans
- 4:34Speaker 1: that individually, separately both of us have wanted to do
- 4:38Speaker 1: and it just hasn't lined up. Yeah, So when Tiana
- 4:41Speaker 1: came to me. For example, we want to hold a
- 4:42Speaker 1: Ballei retreat. I was like, oh my god, I've always
- 4:45Speaker 1: wanted to run on there, so excited, and I wanted
- 4:48Speaker 1: to do it with Levi, but he hates Bali, so
- 4:51Speaker 1: it's just never going to happen. I pushed him and
- 4:53Speaker 1: I think I probably could have twisted his arm, but
- 4:56Speaker 1: also don't want to. Yeah, if you don't want to
- 4:57Speaker 1: do it, you don't love the country and appreciate it
- 4:59Speaker 1: for what it is and didn't feel right. You know,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's me and you, and we've already started planning what
- 5:04Speaker 1: it would look like. How many days we found a
- 5:06Speaker 1: villa that we want to get where everyone can stay together.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Basically, had the itinery already done mutually.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we've got aft out the other day. It just
- 5:13Speaker 1: is going to be so epic.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I cannot freaking wait. And then we want to do
- 5:19Speaker 1: a product which we're not going to tell you what
- 5:20Speaker 1: it is. Yes, but we work in a product that
- 5:23Speaker 1: will help you deepen your relationships, yes, which is really cool.
- 5:27Speaker 1: That's the hint and the clue. Yeah, and that's all
- 5:28Speaker 1: you get. There's a lot that goes into that. There's
- 5:31Speaker 1: contacting manufacturers, there's getting samples made, there's creating the product,
- 5:36Speaker 1: getting all designed, getting all made up, back and forth.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It takes quite a while, but our goal is to
- 5:41Speaker 1: kind of have that done by October, which is our
- 5:43Speaker 1: first big event. And we were having a conversation the
- 5:47Speaker 1: other night just about business and how another business that
- 5:50Speaker 1: I know sold out for fifty million dollars and if
- 5:54Speaker 1: you make five million profit, your business can be valued
- 5:56Speaker 1: at fifty mil. And then Tiana went away that night,
- 5:59Speaker 1: wrote in her journal, brought it to the gym next
- 6:01Speaker 1: day and she's like, oh, it was at my house. Yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 1: Like okay, let's just have a look at this crunch
- 6:04Speaker 1: the numbers on different things we want to do. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: I was like, wow, that's really cool because there's so
- 6:08Speaker 1: much that's possible with this empire that we want to build.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was really cool. I don't know,
- 6:12Speaker 2: I just got like so inspired. Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 3: It's like I was laying in bed late at night
- 6:16Speaker 3: after we had that conversation and I was like, all right,
- 6:19Speaker 3: how do we make this work? Like how do we
- 6:20Speaker 3: make the business comet evaluation at that number? Yeah, And
- 6:24Speaker 3: just with the different pillars of what we do want
- 6:26Speaker 3: to do and what feels really aligned. We were like,
- 6:27Speaker 3: all right, cool, we can make this happen. But it's
- 6:30Speaker 3: really beautiful though, because everything that we want to do
- 6:32Speaker 3: feels really.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Aligned, so aligned, and it's this long term goal. But
- 6:37Speaker 1: we spoke about it in a previous episode of Enjoying
- 6:39Speaker 1: the Journey of Creation, and our biggest value is impact,
- 6:43Speaker 1: impact and connection and everything that we want to do
- 6:46Speaker 1: there is so much impact, so much connection, and so
- 6:49Speaker 1: much play and fun.
- 6:50Speaker 3: And the really beautiful thing as well is that the
- 6:52Speaker 3: podcast has quite like evolved quite quickly. Right, we were
- 6:55Speaker 3: talking about this the other day. So we've been doing
- 6:57Speaker 3: this together for three months now or four months now, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: and we've uploaded fifty episodes, we've added a fourth episode
- 7:04Speaker 3: per week, hosted so far, two in person events that
- 7:07Speaker 3: have sold out within three days. We've got our third
- 7:10Speaker 3: one on the way, and just everything has happened so quickly,
- 7:13Speaker 3: but also in stages, so you know, when we were
- 7:15Speaker 3: focusing just on the podcast, we were like, okay, the
- 7:18Speaker 3: next evolution for here is intimate events, yes, And then
- 7:21Speaker 3: once we've done the intimate events, we're like, okay, bigger
- 7:23Speaker 3: events now, you know, and then beyond that, it's like
- 7:25Speaker 3: physical products and courses and you know, the next stage
- 7:28Speaker 3: is the Bali retreat that we really want to do.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So with all of that and with that growth, we're
- 7:33Speaker 3: trying to figure out now together how we can make
- 7:36Speaker 3: that work and intertwine that with our lifestyles now.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And out other businesses.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Because as she's got other businesses, she's also a mum
- 7:43Speaker 3: of two, I've got another business and right now, like
- 7:46Speaker 3: Sheet Rises is kind of taking over, Like there's a
- 7:48Speaker 3: lot of work that we're doing behind the scenes.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Also doesn't make a lot of money at the moment. Yes, like, yes,
- 7:54Speaker 1: we get paid for our podcast now, which is awesome
- 7:57Speaker 1: now for a long time, but it's not a huge
- 7:58Speaker 1: amount of money that we could just give up everything
- 8:00Speaker 1: else we do. Yes, it's a long game, but that's
- 8:02Speaker 1: where we're like, we don't want it to just be
- 8:04Speaker 1: the only pillar of income. So how do we do
- 8:08Speaker 1: other things that can create income that we can hopefully
- 8:10Speaker 1: one day make this our full time gig that all
- 8:12Speaker 1: we do is she Rises, that's our end goal. Yes, like, yes,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you love coaching, I love hideaway. Sure do we see
- 8:18Speaker 1: ourselves doing both of those forever? No, She Rises is
- 8:22Speaker 1: definitely where our true passion is and where we can
- 8:24Speaker 1: make the biggest impact and help more women with so
- 8:28Speaker 1: many things in their lives. So it's really exciting.
- 8:31Speaker 3: It is, and it's also comes with its challenges as well,
- 8:34Speaker 3: like just learning how to navigate the compromise of what
- 8:39Speaker 3: we've been talking about. Okay, you know right now, it's
- 8:42Speaker 3: been a bit of a busier season. Yeah, and you've
- 8:44Speaker 3: really felt it a lot because you're feeling really stretched.
- 8:46Speaker 3: We've also been going through some seriously like personal things
- 8:49Speaker 3: and grief amongst all of it. But then we're like, okay,
- 8:52Speaker 3: you know, even now we've added a second day to
- 8:55Speaker 3: work on she rises and how she rises meetings, you know,
- 8:58Speaker 3: and then learning how to compromise for me of like, okay,
- 9:01Speaker 3: where does that take away from my coaching business? How
- 9:03Speaker 3: do I make sure that it doesn't impact my current clients?
- 9:06Speaker 3: But then I'm still showing up in my business but
- 9:09Speaker 3: then still giving enough to she Rises.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really interesting like dance, it is.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And we've had some really cool conversations which we wanted
- 9:16Speaker 1: to share because I wouldn't say they were hard. They
- 9:18Speaker 1: were just like, let's really talk about this because we
- 9:20Speaker 1: have to. It's all fun and exciting to get excited
- 9:22Speaker 1: about the big plans and our goals and everything, but
- 9:25Speaker 1: let's be realistic and how do we make this work.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And when the first conversation was around your coaching, you
- 9:32Speaker 1: wanted to do courses and master classes and maybe a subscription.
- 9:34Speaker 1: A subscription yes, and we bounced back and forth. I
- 9:37Speaker 1: remember when you first asked me the gym, would you
- 9:39Speaker 1: be open to doing subscriptions? And I was like one
- 9:40Speaker 1: hundred percent. And then we haven't had the chance to
- 9:43Speaker 1: fully sit down and talk about that. It wasn't the goals.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And then you were like, oh, I might do that
- 9:47Speaker 1: for my own business and get that up and running.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, cool, in full support of
- 9:51Speaker 1: you're doing that, and then we'll do hours later like
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm in no rush. And then you came back and
- 9:56Speaker 1: you're like, Okay, this is where I'm at. Yes, I
- 9:58Speaker 1: can do the courses by myself, and I can the subscription.
- 10:01Speaker 1: But then my heart's over here. I want to do it,
- 10:03Speaker 1: and she rises, but I need to know if you're
- 10:05Speaker 1: going to be all in, because if you're not all in,
- 10:07Speaker 1: then I muzzle do it over here. Yeah, And that's
- 10:09Speaker 1: when I was like, I am all in, but I
- 10:13Speaker 1: think I don't have as much time as what you
- 10:16Speaker 1: might do. For example, when I go home, my phone's
- 10:19Speaker 1: in my bedroom and I'm with my children. I don't
- 10:21Speaker 1: want to go back to doing what I was doing
- 10:23Speaker 1: baseline that when I get home, I'm half fast parenting
- 10:25Speaker 1: because I'm on my phone looking at deadline, checking the website,
- 10:29Speaker 1: checking on staff. Stressed it was NonStop running that business.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I don't want to go back to doing that. So
- 10:35Speaker 1: I just need to figure out a way how to
- 10:37Speaker 1: fit this all in. You're in your hustle era, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm ten years older than Tiana as well. We've got
- 10:41Speaker 1: to remember she's twenty six. I'm thirty six, So I
- 10:44Speaker 1: know that hungry like that by Yeah, when you've just
- 10:47Speaker 1: got all the time in the world, you just want
- 10:48Speaker 1: to go at it. And I still am in that,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but I'm also going to prioritize my kids, and I'm
- 10:53Speaker 1: quite heavy and hideaway now. I couldn't step away from
- 10:55Speaker 1: that just yet. Yeah, So I was like, Okay, how
- 10:58Speaker 1: do we do this? How do we do this? Dance?
- 11:00Speaker 1: And there's conversations around finances, like would you be happy
- 11:03Speaker 1: to take on more of the load with the courses
- 11:04Speaker 1: and take more of a percentage. She was like hell, yeah, yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I love this, so I'm ready for this. I was like,
- 11:09Speaker 1: cool that works.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It was just really cool conversation to both know exactly
- 11:13Speaker 1: what we want, which is the same thing, but how
- 11:15Speaker 1: do we make it work? And then I was like, okay,
- 11:17Speaker 1: well we do one day a week together at the moment. Realistically,
- 11:20Speaker 1: if we want to do all these big things, that
- 11:22Speaker 1: is not going to happen to it one day a week.
- 11:24Speaker 1: We both are going to have to figure out one
- 11:26Speaker 1: other full day that we can pull all that energy
- 11:28Speaker 1: into it. And when we get together, we get so
- 11:30Speaker 1: much die I was super efficient together, very efficient and
- 11:33Speaker 1: bounce and what she's good at I'm not so good
- 11:35Speaker 1: at and yus Yeah, really cool. We have different strengths,
- 11:39Speaker 1: different strengths, so we've added an extra day and to
- 11:41Speaker 1: be able to make those things in reality, and we're like,
- 11:43Speaker 1: let's just tackle one thing at a time and once
- 11:44Speaker 1: we tackle it, we'll move on to the next.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Ye.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really exciting. But we both had really honest
- 11:49Speaker 1: conversations with what that looks like for us when our
- 11:51Speaker 1: boundaries are because I don't want to go home and
- 11:53Speaker 1: keep working as like cant because.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I've got my kids there, Whereas like for me, I'm like,
- 11:57Speaker 3: I'm happy to do that, like I've already do it
- 11:59Speaker 3: now in my business. It's just that that time is
- 12:01Speaker 3: going to my current business. So it's like even if
- 12:03Speaker 3: we have a she Riser's day, I've got my first
- 12:06Speaker 3: workday which is with us, and then i go home,
- 12:08Speaker 3: have a break, eat something, and then I've got another
- 12:09Speaker 3: three four hours of like my business upman, So it's
- 12:12Speaker 3: like I'm kind of already doing that anyway. Yes, And
- 12:14Speaker 3: then when we were having that conversation, I remember you
- 12:16Speaker 3: saying to me like, I just don't want to run
- 12:18Speaker 3: a team, like oh yes, that was another thing that came.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I'm just letting you know right now this is not
- 12:22Speaker 3: what I want to do. And I'm like, that's so cool, babe.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I was like laughing, but also like I'm being serious.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, You're like, please don't know.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Like Steve does such a beautiful job at running the team,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and I know I could learn to get better at it,
- 12:34Speaker 1: for sure, but it's not something I want to do.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And now at thirty six turning thirty seven, I am
- 12:40Speaker 1: getting older. I want to do the things that really
- 12:42Speaker 1: light me up. I've worked so hard since I was thirteen.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I've done the rough times, I've tried lots of different things,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and now I'm really strong on doing what lights me up. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and delegating the rest.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And I know that sounds privileged to be in that position,
- 12:55Speaker 1: but that's just.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Where I'm at.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and I want to honor that. So I was like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I don't want to imagine the team. I'm a great
- 12:59Speaker 1: team player. I'll do it, do whatever you need to do.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You tell me what to day, I'll do it. You
- 13:04Speaker 1: can sweet the floor if you like, whatever you need
- 13:06Speaker 1: me to do. I just don't want to be that
- 13:08Speaker 1: central team leader that everyone's going to because it's just
- 13:11Speaker 1: I have so much energy in the day, and I
- 13:13Speaker 1: found when I had Baseline, it took away from my
- 13:15Speaker 1: children because I was so pulled and emotionally plugged into
- 13:19Speaker 1: everyone else. I want to be able to leave work
- 13:21Speaker 1: and go home be with my kids.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So I've learned that lesson and I don't want to
- 13:24Speaker 1: go back there.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's so fair enough.
- 13:26Speaker 3: And then as well, in that conversation, I remember saying
- 13:29Speaker 3: to you, like, this is something I feel like i'd
- 13:31Speaker 3: be capable of doing, you know, and whilst I still
- 13:34Speaker 3: learn how to be a better leader, and I'd learned
- 13:36Speaker 3: that through implementing. It's a position, a position that I
- 13:40Speaker 3: would also be like all right, like within this business
- 13:42Speaker 3: and this like enterprise, I'm like balls to the wall,
- 13:45Speaker 3: like let's fucking go, Like do you know what I mean? Like,
- 13:47Speaker 3: I'm like, I will do I think I said this
- 13:49Speaker 3: to you, like I will do anything that I have
- 13:50Speaker 3: to in order to make this work.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I think you do a beautiful job at it. For
- 13:53Speaker 1: the most part, I'm two people pleasing. I want to
- 13:56Speaker 1: be everyone's friends. I want everyone to like me. I
- 13:58Speaker 1: have no boundaries in a workplace environment. I don't have
- 14:01Speaker 1: any of that. I'll just put my hand I'p'm really
- 14:03Speaker 1: bad at it.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I think that's something that I have to learn as well,
- 14:06Speaker 3: because I definitely have people pleasing tendencies and it'll just
- 14:08Speaker 3: be something that have to like overcome.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I wonder if you would have it in a workspace,
- 14:11Speaker 1: because I feel like in my personal life I'm pretty
- 14:13Speaker 1: good at it, but in my work life, I'm not.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I've definitely had it, so I've had a couple of
- 14:17Speaker 1: vas in the past in my business. The very first one,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I just wanted her to be my friend. Yeah, and
- 14:22Speaker 1: I was more her friend than I was her boss.
- 14:24Speaker 2: But she was a really good worker.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yeah. I look back in hindsight after having multiple vas
- 14:28Speaker 3: and I'm like, fuck, she was good.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, and then after that, I think I
- 14:33Speaker 2: became more of a leader.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 3: We've even had conversations around protecting our friendship within the
- 14:38Speaker 3: business as well, like that's a huge value of both
- 14:41Speaker 3: about them. I really really want to make sure that
- 14:43Speaker 3: our friendship is protected in this. So we've spoken about
- 14:45Speaker 3: doing up a partnership agreement and making sure that the
- 14:48Speaker 3: business side of things is business. Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Your dad gave us that advice too. He I remember
- 14:52Speaker 1: you saying from the start that my dad's always just said,
- 14:54Speaker 1: what do you say exactly.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Treat every business deal like they're a stranger or something
- 14:59Speaker 3: like that. Yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It was just something that was like, that's so true,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and in regardless of what happens, then your friendship's protected. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and at the end of the day, that's main goal.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So yeah, keep business business and then friendship friendship,
- 15:09Speaker 3: and then that way you always know that you're good
- 15:11Speaker 3: in every aspect, because then when emotion comes in, you're like, okay,
- 15:15Speaker 3: like the facts of facts, and we can deal with
- 15:17Speaker 3: that factually, and then we can come over here and
- 15:19Speaker 3: we can enter and put the friendship hat on and go, hey,
- 15:22Speaker 3: let's talk about this.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And we've made those decisions in an agreement, which we
- 15:25Speaker 1: haven't done yet. We will do, but we've made those
- 15:27Speaker 1: decisions an agreement. We were really regulated and not emotional. Yep,
- 15:30Speaker 1: we're both agreeing on that. So you can't go back
- 15:32Speaker 1: when your emotion and be like, oh, well, actually I
- 15:34Speaker 1: don't Yeah, I didn't say that when you do.
- 15:38Speaker 3: It's just one of those things that we treat business
- 15:39Speaker 3: like business and then get to protect our friendship.
- 15:42Speaker 1: And if you've got nothing to hide, there's no big
- 15:44Speaker 1: deal in doing that. That's right, Like, wol you're not.
- 15:46Speaker 3: This is what we're talking about with like prenups and stuff. Yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 3: like if you're in it for the right reasons, like
- 15:51Speaker 3: who gives a.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Fuck, then there's nobody you're there for.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Low It shouldn't be uncomfortable, you know.
- 15:55Speaker 3: And this is the thing that people struggle with is
- 15:57Speaker 3: like oh but oh my god, you shouldn't treat me
- 15:59Speaker 3: like that, and not think anything of me like.
- 16:01Speaker 2: That, you don't trust me, that's right.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, no, well make sense that somebody would
- 16:06Speaker 3: want to protect their net worth and what they've created
- 16:08Speaker 3: for themselves, because that's what they've created for themselves.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they've looked hard at that.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah, at the end of the day, our friendship is
- 16:15Speaker 1: the most important thing. And that's why I went to
- 16:17Speaker 1: T two talking about all these big goals and everything
- 16:20Speaker 1: and where I'm at with being a mum and that
- 16:22Speaker 1: being such a big priority for me too. Is like
- 16:24Speaker 1: my fear is that you would resent me if you
- 16:27Speaker 1: were doing more than me. Yeah, and I would never
- 16:29Speaker 1: ever want that. So that's why I was like, I
- 16:31Speaker 1: need to talk to her about this so that we
- 16:33Speaker 1: can make sure that she is getting a higher percentage
- 16:36Speaker 1: of the earnings or commission or whatever it is based
- 16:39Speaker 1: on the work that we're Yeah, so that you don't
- 16:41Speaker 1: ever feel like that. I love growth mums, that it's
- 16:43Speaker 1: always been instilled in me and being such a driven person.
- 16:46Speaker 1: But yeah, it's just going to be us figuring out
- 16:48Speaker 1: how it looks and then when we can bring our
- 16:50Speaker 1: first staff member on board to help us and what
- 16:52Speaker 1: roles you do enjoy what roles. I don't enjoy what
- 16:55Speaker 1: we can delegate what we can delegate because I want
- 16:57Speaker 1: you to stay in the things that you love. It's
- 16:58Speaker 1: like accounting. Both of us are like fuck no, yes,
- 17:01Speaker 1: so now my mum's doing that for us.
- 17:02Speaker 2: We just thanks Wendy.
- 17:03Speaker 1: We just take a photo of our receipts at her
- 17:05Speaker 1: and she handles the rest. Like, we don't want to
- 17:07Speaker 1: do that. We want to stay in our creative flow
- 17:10Speaker 1: and be making impact because no one else can do
- 17:11Speaker 1: our role. It's like bringing Bethy on to help with
- 17:14Speaker 1: running the event.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Yeah, she's been incredible.
- 17:16Speaker 1: She was like, you girls need to just turn up
- 17:18Speaker 1: and be you because we can't do that. Let us
- 17:21Speaker 1: handle the logistics and all the stress and anything that
- 17:23Speaker 1: needs last minute running around. And it was so beautiful
- 17:26Speaker 1: to have that help power in collaboration.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Hey, oh, if the events have taught me anything is
- 17:30Speaker 3: that it really does take a village to create something
- 17:33Speaker 3: big before and also every part helps, Like you know,
- 17:37Speaker 3: Bethy has a strength in doing what she does. Yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 3: well as spreadsheets, I'm like holy and she just like
- 17:43Speaker 3: so took initiative in that role and I was like
- 17:45Speaker 3: to oh shit, okay, this is what it's about, yeah, like,
- 17:48Speaker 3: this is what it's going to require of us in
- 17:50Speaker 3: the retreats and in anything that we do in person events.
- 17:53Speaker 2: It's going to require that collaboration.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It does. I love collaboration too, and I think that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: where we came together as well. Like I've done apps
- 18:00Speaker 1: and subscriptions before, You've done courses before, but it's like
- 18:03Speaker 1: it's so much more fun together.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It really is. And we talk about this often. We're
- 18:07Speaker 2: both like, when did you content on our own? We're like, oh, yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 2: we can do it.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Then together, they were like we like little kids skimming around.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I fell in neglect my own TikTok these days because
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm just so excited for that she rises.
- 18:17Speaker 3: And this is the conversation we've often been having. It's like, Okay,
- 18:20Speaker 3: eventually I came to Ashley the other day. I was like, eventually,
- 18:23Speaker 3: like I don't want to be doing anything.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm like yeah, And then it was like a oh
- 18:28Speaker 2: my god, you feel the same.
- 18:29Speaker 1: There was something else that happened. You were just having
- 18:32Speaker 1: the internal conversations around your coaching and you're like, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: never want you to feel any pressure that, like, she
- 18:37Speaker 1: rises has to be the main thing for us and
- 18:39Speaker 1: I was like, I don't feel pressure. I want that too.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Oh you do? Oh my god. Yeah, And that sparked
- 18:43Speaker 1: all these conversations we both want the same thing, because
- 18:46Speaker 1: I remember.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Feeling like I really love this and like everything about
- 18:51Speaker 3: the podcast, everything about what we're doing is just like
- 18:53Speaker 3: it lights me on fire or lights of fire underneath it.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I know what you mean, however you want to say it.
- 18:59Speaker 3: I never felt more aligned in my life. Oh me too.
- 19:02Speaker 3: And then I was just like, oh my god, am
- 19:03Speaker 3: I the only one who feels this? No? Not.
- 19:05Speaker 1: As I started this podcast, I just knew this is
- 19:08Speaker 1: what I would want to be doing. And then even
- 19:10Speaker 1: all the stuff happened and the last co host left,
- 19:12Speaker 1: and I was like, share, don't do this on my own.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Do I get someone else? And I just remember saying
- 19:16Speaker 1: to Katie and Jay, balling my eyes to them, just
- 19:18Speaker 1: being like, this is what I want to do. I
- 19:21Speaker 1: need to keep doing this, and they were like, you will,
- 19:23Speaker 1: We'll figure out a way. Don't stress, You've got this.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But I was just in panic of like, I don't
- 19:27Speaker 1: want to do anything else. Yeah, And even with the
- 19:30Speaker 1: whole brain surgery thing and closing down baseline, it just
- 19:33Speaker 1: felt so right because I would have more time for this.
- 19:35Speaker 1: It lights me up so much, even like you girls
- 19:38Speaker 1: may not realize that when you send it in a
- 19:39Speaker 1: DM to say how an episode impacted you, helped you
- 19:43Speaker 1: made you not feel alone, you learn something like you
- 19:45Speaker 1: have no idea how much that makes our day. It
- 19:47Speaker 1: literally makes us so emotional and gets us so excited.
- 19:50Speaker 3: We like send screenshots to each other and we're like,
- 19:52Speaker 3: look at me, yes, And then the event is that
- 19:55Speaker 3: time's tenfold, face to face, being able to hug you,
- 19:59Speaker 3: connect with you, see you cry, see you open up,
- 20:02Speaker 3: see your hold hands from another woman. It's just so
- 20:04Speaker 3: so powerf to bring women together. And that in person
- 20:08Speaker 3: feeling and how willing everyone was to grow was something
- 20:13Speaker 3: out of this world.
- 20:14Speaker 2: It really was.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I just wish everyone could find a career or a
- 20:18Speaker 1: job where they feel how we feel, because I haven't
- 20:20Speaker 1: always felt like this. There's definitely been periods like I
- 20:22Speaker 1: loved Fitness, and I did love Baseline for a certain
- 20:25Speaker 1: amount of time, and I love Hideaway, don't get me wrong,
- 20:27Speaker 1: but it doesn't set my heart on firelight This does.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I feel so lit up. I could literally do this
- 20:32Speaker 1: all day, every day. It's all I think about is
- 20:33Speaker 1: all I want to work on. I wouldn't even know
- 20:35Speaker 1: how many hours we do a week on it, oh,
- 20:37Speaker 1: away from the office, but it doesn't feel like work.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It feels like a hobby.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it does. Like this, it's so much fun. And yeah,
- 20:43Speaker 2: you know what I love.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I love hearing as well people from the outside looking in.
- 20:47Speaker 3: When I get people talk about the podcast to me,
- 20:49Speaker 3: they're like, you guys just look like you're having so
- 20:52Speaker 3: much fun. Oh.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm like, are like, yeah, we are.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it's just so much fun.
- 20:56Speaker 3: And that makes it more enjoyable for people to witness us,
- 20:58Speaker 3: but then also more enjoyable for us because we're like,
- 21:00Speaker 3: we're genuinely having a good time, because it lights us
- 21:02Speaker 3: both up. Yes, And I think for really long time,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I've really tried to make certain ways of doing business
- 21:08Speaker 3: fit that weren't my style, you know, like putting like
- 21:12Speaker 3: we've spoken about this in past episodes, how I would
- 21:15Speaker 3: take on past partners, you know, lens of business of
- 21:19Speaker 3: how I should do things where deep down I knew
- 21:21Speaker 3: it wasn't right for me, but I was listening anyway,
- 21:24Speaker 3: And then I would feel resentful. I would burn out
- 21:26Speaker 3: every three weeks and I'd be like, why the fuck
- 21:27Speaker 3: am I even doing this?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:29Speaker 2: You know, but where is this? I'm like that other
- 21:31Speaker 2: thing I haven't had that.
- 21:33Speaker 1: No, I'm not at all.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I don't feel that at all.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I hope anyone listening, I hope it inspires you. It
- 21:37Speaker 1: doesn't matter what age you're at, twenty six, thirty six,
- 21:41Speaker 1: it doesn't matter where you're at in your life. You
- 21:42Speaker 1: can always change change your mind trying something new. And
- 21:46Speaker 1: if you're not feeling lit up, alive, excited for your
- 21:49Speaker 1: work and for your purpose, yeah it's time to fucking
- 21:52Speaker 1: look at that change. I'm not saying quit your job
- 21:54Speaker 1: straight away, but don't settle for the story that I have.
- 21:57Speaker 1: When I was a little girl, that I was sold
- 21:59Speaker 1: that you just had to work to live. Yeah, you
- 22:01Speaker 1: just had to work to pay the bills, Get a job,
- 22:03Speaker 1: be grateful you've got a roof over your Like, it
- 22:05Speaker 1: doesn't have to be like that for you. And trust me,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I came from nothing. You can build a life that
- 22:10Speaker 1: you're really proud of and that you're really excited for.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I really hope my kids find something like this, not podcasting,
- 22:16Speaker 1: whatever they want to do, but where they just feel
- 22:18Speaker 1: so lit up and excited for it, and if they
- 22:20Speaker 1: get over it, want to change their mind. Amazing. I
- 22:22Speaker 1: will encourage and push that too.
- 22:23Speaker 3: And even the conversation we're having the other day around
- 22:27Speaker 3: how I felt like I was hiding behind my coach identity. Yeah,
- 22:30Speaker 3: you know, We've had this conversation for months now as
- 22:33Speaker 3: she's been encouraging me to just add variety into my
- 22:35Speaker 3: content and just based on things that I've told her
- 22:38Speaker 3: that I've wanted, and I've just held on to it
- 22:40Speaker 3: so much because it's been such a safety net for me,
- 22:43Speaker 3: and I've just been like, Okay, I've noticed that I've
- 22:45Speaker 3: been evolving, but my content hasn't reflected it, and I've
- 22:49Speaker 3: been terrified of changing that and adjusting that to do
- 22:52Speaker 3: what I actually want to do because of these fucking
- 22:54Speaker 3: ideals that have been put on me from what I
- 22:56Speaker 3: think others want me to do. Yeah, And I just
- 22:59Speaker 3: have been like this whole last couple of weeks especially,
- 23:02Speaker 3: has really been about letting go of that and come
- 23:05Speaker 3: into this like unknown space of discomfort and fear and
- 23:09Speaker 3: change and gross and it's fucking uncomfortable, really is, and
- 23:14Speaker 3: it's scary, but it's also like the drive and the
- 23:17Speaker 3: desire and the pool to go this way so much
- 23:20Speaker 3: stronger than the fear that's trying to pull me backwards.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I love that and I could relate because I said,
- 23:24Speaker 1: when I gave up in the fitness industry and decided
- 23:26Speaker 1: to move in this direction, that was hard. I was like, Wow,
- 23:29Speaker 1: people have always loved me for fitness. I've always posted
- 23:32Speaker 1: fitness content. Will I still be relevant people? Will they
- 23:34Speaker 1: still be interested? Would they still want to watch me?
- 23:36Speaker 1: And I was like, well, if they don't, then they're
- 23:38Speaker 1: not my people. And I'll attract the right people that
- 23:40Speaker 1: are on the same journey to me, you know, But
- 23:43Speaker 1: you forget that your audience also grows with you.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Even at the event, there were so many women that
- 23:47Speaker 1: came up for a photo. I've followed you for fifteen years.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Oh that was so cool to hear, so cool to
- 23:52Speaker 1: see all your evolutions and I just love watching the
- 23:54Speaker 1: journey of you.
- 23:54Speaker 3: And I was like, ohmu, you've grown and yeah, it
- 23:57Speaker 3: was really beautiful, so special, really cool.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So yeah, we're going to be bringing out a course
- 24:03Speaker 1: which is really cool product hopefully by October and Barley Retreat.
- 24:09Speaker 1: That's really exciting.
- 24:10Speaker 2: It's so exciting.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I know, there's a lot of Barley retreats around, but
- 24:13Speaker 1: it won't be black House, no bias.
- 24:16Speaker 3: So yeah, I think we just wanted to just document
- 24:18Speaker 3: a little bit of the journey and kind of where
- 24:20Speaker 3: we're both at and what we're planning and what we
- 24:22Speaker 3: want and just the reality of it all because you
- 24:25Speaker 3: see things on the forefront and you might just see
- 24:27Speaker 3: us posting podcast snippets and also really fun reels that
- 24:30Speaker 3: you guys get to come along on.
- 24:31Speaker 1: But it's not just that this more behind the scenes.
- 24:34Speaker 3: How much more happening and big plans that we've got.
- 24:37Speaker 1: So I was saying to Tea the other day, this
- 24:39Speaker 1: time next year, we're going to look back and be like,
- 24:41Speaker 1: holy shit, we've done a lot.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It's crazy what you can do in a short amount
- 24:43Speaker 1: of time when things feel so aligned, they just flow.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Even our events, it's like, whoa, how do we just
- 24:48Speaker 1: say we're going to do this? And now we've got
- 24:50Speaker 1: all planned and it's done now. And it's interesting too.
- 24:52Speaker 1: We were driving back from Brisbane Get the Rule behind
- 24:55Speaker 1: the Scenes today, driving back from Brisbane last month and
- 24:57Speaker 1: we were trying to book in the powerhouse. Yeah, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: it was getting a bit much for me. It was
- 25:02Speaker 1: really overwhelming. What they were requiring, what they needed from
- 25:06Speaker 1: usk questions. I was trying to get a hold of them.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Oh my god. It was a nightmare. And I've done
- 25:10Speaker 1: a lot of events over the years, and I was like,
- 25:12Speaker 1: this is not normal. And I started saying. I was like, look,
- 25:15Speaker 1: it's just not meant to be. We'll find a new location.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Let's park this one. I remember this like, look, I
- 25:20Speaker 1: was driving. I remember this look in her eye that
- 25:22Speaker 1: was like no. And Tatiana came out, got out her phone,
- 25:27Speaker 1: called them and in a very polite, respectful, yet stern
- 25:31Speaker 1: way of just like, we are going to make this happen.
- 25:34Speaker 1: What do I need to do right now to lock
- 25:36Speaker 1: this in? Like I'm here. You need and she's like,
- 25:40Speaker 1: I need the insurance, I need cool done dune dune.
- 25:43Speaker 1: We pulled over it grilled, got out and meet Patties
- 25:46Speaker 1: and she's just hustling away. But my fear came up
- 25:48Speaker 1: and I doubted it. And I was telling Steve Boddy goes, yeah,
- 25:50Speaker 1: you do that when you go overwhelmed. Do you think
- 25:51Speaker 1: you're not capable? In your old story of I'm too
- 25:54Speaker 1: dumb pops up and then you park it and you
- 25:57Speaker 1: just let it go. I was like, yeah, I don't do.
- 25:59Speaker 2: That, don't. I thank you for sharing that.
- 26:01Speaker 3: It was such a cool moment though, it was for
- 26:03Speaker 3: us to have that conversation and just noticing that in
- 26:06Speaker 3: the moment.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and noticing the energy shift of like, no, I
- 26:09Speaker 1: fucking got this, Yeah we want this, We're gonna make
- 26:12Speaker 1: this happen at determination. Yeah, it's like, oh, go got fire.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I love it, And like not allowing someone saying no
- 26:18Speaker 3: to yeah, like, oh that's the end of it, because
- 26:20Speaker 3: they didn't really say no, but they would.
- 26:21Speaker 1: They were hurtle.
- 26:22Speaker 3: It was so difficult, it's so neat. I was like,
- 26:26Speaker 3: don't fuck with me today. All right, has just been
- 26:28Speaker 3: filming for eight motherfucking hours. All right, we're doing this shit.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 3: It was just we've got the vision for so long.
- 26:35Speaker 3: We did well, we really wanted that location, and.
- 26:37Speaker 1: We just on our vision board had exactly what it
- 26:39Speaker 1: looked like. This venue was in nothing else compared. Yeah,
- 26:42Speaker 1: if you guys love this episode and you like more
- 26:44Speaker 1: behind the scenes of what it takes to run an
- 26:46Speaker 1: event or yeah, different hard conversations that we have, would
- 26:49Speaker 1: you like us a share more of that because I
- 26:50Speaker 1: don't even like saying hard because they're not hard.
- 26:53Speaker 3: They don't feel hard together, So.
- 26:54Speaker 1: It's it just conversations that they've got to be had,
- 26:57Speaker 1: but like uncomfortable conversations. Maybe, yeah, we did have one
- 27:01Speaker 1: the other day. Actually that was a bit harder on
- 27:03Speaker 1: the treadmill. That was about about yes. So look, we're
- 27:09Speaker 1: not in different opinions about this. I'm obviously a little
- 27:12Speaker 1: bit more sensitive to it. But I didn't want to
- 27:15Speaker 1: talk about this because I didn't want to draw more
- 27:17Speaker 1: attention because you can see that they're actively waiting to
- 27:20Speaker 1: pounds and they're actively trying to bring us down. They're
- 27:23Speaker 1: actively going to our reviews and leaving shit us fate comment.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Either they're not listening and they're just writing it to
- 27:30Speaker 1: bring us down, or they are listening, which if you
- 27:32Speaker 1: don't like us, motherfucker, you're listening. Anyways, you can see
- 27:35Speaker 1: that they're trolling. And Tiana's idea was to ask our
- 27:39Speaker 1: audience to jump on and the ones who are loving
- 27:42Speaker 1: and you girls that are listening, to go over and
- 27:44Speaker 1: support us and to leave some positive feedback and reviews
- 27:46Speaker 1: to try and squash them away. And I was like, oh,
- 27:49Speaker 1: that's just going to make the trolls want to win,
- 27:51Speaker 1: and they're going to come back tenfold. They're going to
- 27:53Speaker 1: post it in some gossip forum and then five hundred
- 27:54Speaker 1: it'll come over and do it.
- 27:56Speaker 3: And I know this.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I don't know they'll do it, but I have had
- 27:58Speaker 1: experience this, I've got evidence. I know how bitious they are.
- 28:02Speaker 1: They are actively waiting to pound on anything. And we
- 28:07Speaker 1: were back and forth too, and I was like, look,
- 28:10Speaker 1: we can try it. I'm just protective of your mental health.
- 28:14Speaker 1: You're now grieving a friend. I'm still grieving Rambo, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: We've both got a lot going on right now. Even
- 28:19Speaker 1: though it doesn't ruin our day, it is still energy.
- 28:22Speaker 1: When you read something about yourself.
- 28:24Speaker 2: There's energy out. Yeah it is yea.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Even if it just like flicks you, it's still a
- 28:28Speaker 1: little bit. It might not knock you over, but you
- 28:30Speaker 1: can still feel that little flick and twinge of like,
- 28:32Speaker 1: oh God, why did they say that? Yeah it's there.
- 28:35Speaker 1: You know you're human, you can feel it. You're not superpower, superwoman,
- 28:41Speaker 1: not super human. I'd be lying if I said it
- 28:43Speaker 1: never affected me. And I think you coming into this,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I know it's not, but I feel a sense of
- 28:49Speaker 1: responsibility to protect and shield you from that, and I
- 28:53Speaker 1: know that I can't, but if there's something that I
- 28:56Speaker 1: feel will minimize it, yeah, I would do. So the
- 29:00Speaker 1: thought of encouraging people to go over there, I'm like, Oh,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I freak out and I want to like, what do
- 29:05Speaker 1: the reviews do anyway? Like I was saying, I don't
- 29:07Speaker 1: feel like they're going to help us grow, which you're like,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I think it will. There's hundreds of thousands of people
- 29:12Speaker 1: that listen to us. Imagine if they went over and
- 29:14Speaker 1: they're loving it. We were just having a discussion about it, Yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 1: but it felt uncomfortable because.
- 29:19Speaker 2: We had different opinions almost.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Like different opinions, and I'm trying to protect you and
- 29:24Speaker 1: I'm more triggered and sensitive to it because i've experienced it.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And then you're like, but I'm not going to live
- 29:29Speaker 1: in fear and I'm not going to let them stop
- 29:31Speaker 1: me from crying. And this is a part of it.
- 29:33Speaker 1: The more we grow, the more people are going to
- 29:35Speaker 1: hate us, Like we've got to get used to this.
- 29:37Speaker 3: And I'm like, you're right, but scared, but yeah, that's
- 29:41Speaker 3: the right. We had like different context, right, Yeah, you've
- 29:44Speaker 3: got the context of previous evidence where I haven't had
- 29:47Speaker 3: to experience that, that initial backlash, and you know, psychologically,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I haven't had to experience that whereas you have. And
- 29:54Speaker 3: then I think for me, I'm like thinking bigger picture.
- 29:57Speaker 2: And the conversation we did have I said to Ashley
- 29:59Speaker 2: was like, you know, if we are.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Going to grow as big as we're going to grow,
- 30:04Speaker 3: those people are going to become so irrelevant that we
- 30:06Speaker 3: can't even hear them, right. But then it's the process
- 30:09Speaker 3: of doing that, you know, And it's a choice for
- 30:11Speaker 3: me to be here and to do this with you.
- 30:13Speaker 3: And I'm also willing to put myself in the firing lines,
- 30:16Speaker 3: like I.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Would be a firing life.
- 30:17Speaker 3: So like that It's so true though, right anybody who
- 30:20Speaker 3: puts themselves on social media is risking being criticized. It
- 30:23Speaker 3: doesn't matter who the fuck you are, what avenue you're in,
- 30:26Speaker 3: It does not matter. You could be selling baby clothes
- 30:27Speaker 3: and someone will criticize you for that's sake, do you
- 30:29Speaker 3: know what I mean? So like, it comes with the territory,
- 30:32Speaker 3: And like I would be ignorant if I thought that
- 30:35Speaker 3: one hundred percent of people are gonna like me. It's
- 30:37Speaker 3: just one of those things where I'm like Okay, what
- 30:39Speaker 3: do we focus on?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Do we focus on?
- 30:42Speaker 3: You know, because again, like what you said, there's hundreds
- 30:44Speaker 3: of thousands of women who were listening into this podcast.
- 30:46Speaker 3: I'm like, I saw Leila Homosy and Alex Homosy do
- 30:49Speaker 3: it every single episode.
- 30:50Speaker 2: They do it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: They you know, say, you know, guys, like if you
- 30:52Speaker 3: want to leave a review, it might just help somebody.
- 30:55Speaker 3: You know, the reviews are whatever, and you say, leave
- 30:57Speaker 3: a comment.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Hey, this really was pivotal for me.
- 30:59Speaker 3: This really gave me a light bulb moment. Maybe the
- 31:02Speaker 3: next person who reads that will go, shit, I'm going
- 31:04Speaker 3: to listen to that. So that's what I'm trying to
- 31:06Speaker 3: focus on. But then also that the fear is so
- 31:09Speaker 3: valid as well, and you have the context of that fear. Yeah.
- 31:13Speaker 1: And I was saying to Tea too, like it's a
- 31:16Speaker 1: rough stat but I would think because I've been doing
- 31:19Speaker 1: this for so much longer, and I'm old, and I've
- 31:20Speaker 1: been online for double the amount of time you have,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I feel like most of the hate is going to
- 31:25Speaker 1: be on me, so it's a lot for me to carry. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 1: And I just feel I think lately holding what I'm
- 31:31Speaker 1: holding the grief being a good mum showing up and
- 31:34Speaker 1: doing all the things I've just felt. It's like extra heavy.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Of course it's extra hard.
- 31:39Speaker 1: And now you're entering a grieving period which I can't
- 31:42Speaker 1: say it ends soon because it doesn't still thick in it.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I didn't want anything extra on top of what you're
- 31:48Speaker 1: going to be holding now. Yeah, and we both were like,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I hear you, you hear me. I see your points,
- 31:54Speaker 1: I see mine. They're both all real, they're all valid. Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 1: It wasn't uncomfortable, but it I think just because I
- 32:00Speaker 1: am protective and I'm scared.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, there's so many layers to it, with a lot.
- 32:05Speaker 3: And when you started to say, like the mental health
- 32:08Speaker 3: side of things, yeah, breathing and how it automatically feels
- 32:11Speaker 3: so much heavier, I was like, oh, you know what,
- 32:13Speaker 3: like maybe it's not fucking worth it, Like maybe it's
- 32:15Speaker 3: not worth it. But then I was also like, I
- 32:17Speaker 3: just want to make sure that we're you're never making
- 32:19Speaker 3: a decision out of fear. Yeah, but out of so
- 32:22Speaker 3: much fear there yeah yeah, but you know what I mean,
- 32:24Speaker 3: like out of a place of all I need to
- 32:25Speaker 3: keep myself small in this box just so that people
- 32:27Speaker 3: don't pounce because it's like, well, then we're doing a
- 32:30Speaker 3: disservice for all the people who do listen to this podcast.
- 32:33Speaker 1: And I'm letting them win. It's not your life. If
- 32:35Speaker 1: you're always worried about what other people are thinking, they're
- 32:37Speaker 1: controlling it. And I totally see that. I'm even scared
- 32:40Speaker 1: talking about this now because I know that it's like
- 32:42Speaker 1: in the past, every time I've spoken about being depressed
- 32:45Speaker 1: or being suicidal or being upset, it's like some people
- 32:48Speaker 1: fucking love a babe. Yeah, They're like, whoa, she's down,
- 32:51Speaker 1: We're winning. So fuck it's so fuck so Like, I
- 32:53Speaker 1: don't even like talking about this vulnerable stuff because it's
- 32:56Speaker 1: just I don't know. I don't think I'll understand why
- 32:59Speaker 1: people enjoy that. Yeah, I really don't.
- 33:01Speaker 2: This wasn't in our notes by that.
- 33:02Speaker 1: No, how you can enjoy one trying to bring down
- 33:05Speaker 1: another woman, but to enjoy seeing her go down in
- 33:08Speaker 1: that process. Yeah, you don't think I'll ever understand that.
- 33:10Speaker 2: No, and you won't because you're not like that.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I the last thing I'd ever want to do is
- 33:13Speaker 1: see a women go down, even someone that's hurt me,
- 33:16Speaker 1: like even a troller. I would never wish bad upon them. Yeah,
- 33:18Speaker 1: even if they said the most disgusting thing about me.
- 33:20Speaker 1: All I hope is that they heal. Yeah, and they
- 33:22Speaker 1: get to see what's coming up for them and they
- 33:24Speaker 1: don't do it someone else. Yeah, you know.
- 33:27Speaker 3: So yeah, we're still figuring. We're still figuring that part out.
- 33:31Speaker 1: So if you love our episodes, go live a nice review.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, please, And you know what's wrong wrong there?
- 33:37Speaker 1: It'd be more that there's more love than hate. I
- 33:39Speaker 1: would love to be proven, yes, and.
- 33:40Speaker 2: That's what I keep trying to say.
- 33:41Speaker 3: But you know what, at the end of the day,
- 33:43Speaker 3: the people who are in there writing bad reviews are
- 33:45Speaker 3: also attacking your character. So they're not even talking about
- 33:48Speaker 3: the podcast. It just shows that they're just trolling and
- 33:51Speaker 3: they can say all they want, but the numbers don't lie.
- 33:53Speaker 3: And all of you beautiful humans who are listening and
- 33:56Speaker 3: who do value the podcast and value you know, what
- 33:59Speaker 3: we have to say and what we share and that
- 34:01Speaker 3: impact that it makes on you, Like, that's what it's about.
- 34:03Speaker 3: And we just do it willing to drown out the
- 34:06Speaker 3: five percent or the one percent of people who do
- 34:08Speaker 3: have something to say, because again, we're not going to
- 34:10Speaker 3: be everyone's cup of tea and we're not here to
- 34:12Speaker 3: fucking people please, Like at the end of the day.
- 34:14Speaker 3: That's a commitment ashly I made when we start achieve rises.
- 34:17Speaker 3: We said we are going to ruffle feathers. We are
- 34:19Speaker 3: going to talk about things that are going to make
- 34:21Speaker 3: people uncomfortable. And the fact that we're going to talk
- 34:23Speaker 3: about things that people shy away from.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I want to activate point you activate something within you
- 34:28Speaker 1: that hasn't been activated before. Yeah, it's really cool.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Activate. That's the word word.
- 34:34Speaker 3: It's the word they've word of twenty twenty five.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So yeah, if you do love our podcast, it does
- 34:39Speaker 1: mean a lot to us. It does support us a lot,
- 34:41Speaker 1: and we love seeing it.
- 34:42Speaker 3: We really appreciate We do appreciate a lot to us. Yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 3: if you have any feedback or if you do like
- 34:48Speaker 3: us talking more business behind the scenes, like, let us know,
- 34:50Speaker 3: because we would really you know, we'd like to share
- 34:53Speaker 3: more of this and we'd like to document more of
- 34:54Speaker 3: the journey as well. So if you do like it,
- 34:57Speaker 3: let us know, send us a DM or jump in form.

- 35:06Speaker 1: the ups and downs.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not going to claim they we're professional.
- 35:09Speaker 1: They're learning as we go.
- 35:10Speaker 3: You know what.
- 35:11Speaker 2: There's a huge pillar of our lives.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you know so and passion.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Yeah alright right, thanks for joining us.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Bye bye,
