- 0:01Oh, God. Oh, my God. What's a tapache? It's a
- 0:25fermented pineapple drink. It's actually really
- 0:28good. Yeah. All right. They're kind of addictive.
- 0:31But they don't make you feel sick like the...
- 0:34Oh, there's no probiotics. Oh, right. Like kombucha.
- 0:37Kombucha. Wait, probiotics make you feel sick?
- 0:40That's backwards, isn't it? They can. Oh, okay.
- 0:43If you're sensitive. I'm sensitive. I mean, the
- 0:45thing I don't like about kombucha is the scoby
- 0:48itself. It's gross. Yes, what? The scoby. Oh.
- 0:52the scobies are pretty repulsive what's a what's
- 0:54a biscovy a scoby is like part of the kombucha
- 0:57brewing process oh okay no no no i know the mother
- 1:00yeah yeah yeah exactly it's the sourdough like
- 1:03pillow bacterial pillow is a good way of putting
- 1:06it yeah i don't like that or duvet it's a bacterial
- 1:10duvet remember when blake was still making uh
- 1:15booch all the time and he was like trying to
- 1:18like give it away in the end because he's like
- 1:20nobody's taking my kombucha and i have too much
- 1:22at home sorry man nobody likes kombucha that
- 1:26much it's not that hot for the booch it had its
- 1:29moment and go on get yeah so um right before
- 1:34we hopped on we just were all like this movie
- 1:36made us feel pretty uncomfortable yeah yeah that's
- 1:40good I hope the FBI has like a whole lot of cuck
- 1:43chairs for when they watch all of my videos.
- 1:47Oh, my God. Self -contained. Gross. It is. It's
- 1:51so gross what I do. The things I have to do to
- 1:55get me there. Sean. I'm not even going to try.
- 2:00Welcome back to Cage Match. Calling around about
- 2:02Wade meeting Nicolas Cage. I'm Sean here with
- 2:05Nick. And producer Peter. Hello. We've reached
- 2:11a whole new level of not trying. There was no
- 2:16clean break from what you were saying. I'm like,
- 2:19I'm not even going to try. Let's just get this
- 2:21over with. Just climb out of the cup chair. And
- 2:25we're joined by our friends and guests. Elizabeth.
- 2:28And Freeman. Yeah, Freeman, welcome back. Elizabeth,
- 2:30welcome for the first time. Thank you. Hi, Elizabeth.
- 2:34Hello. I'm glad you picked a movie about... creepy
- 2:38nsa spying yeah yeah well i i work in data privacy
- 2:42so it's perfect i actually i know more about
- 2:46this than uh than your average person and i watched
- 2:51the movie and was like yeah yeah yeah it's worse
- 2:53now oh it's so much worse it's so much worse
- 2:56now ai's so good at matching things together
- 2:59yeah yeah before we get there uh we're this week
- 3:03we're talking about oliver stone's snowden Yeah,
- 3:062016. Joseph Gordon -Levitt. Who did a weird
- 3:10voice. Yes! But he does kind of sound like Snowden.
- 3:14You think so? A little bit. I don't know. Snowden's
- 3:17got a pretty monotony robot voice. It felt like
- 3:21he was trying to force himself an octave lower
- 3:24than normal, and it was too much. Yeah, Josie
- 3:28had some issue with his voice as well. I guess
- 3:30it felt very on point. With a lot of the privacy
- 3:33engineers that I work with, I was like, oh, yeah,
- 3:36this is this is normal. That's OK. That guy exists.
- 3:38That's all right. That's all right. Perfect.
- 3:40I love that. There's a time. I loved how throughout
- 3:43the film, like later on in the film, when you
- 3:45see like the other people who are working with
- 3:46him in like data security and I say, see, like
- 3:49whenever like it shows like the nerds, you just
- 3:51like and here are extras from the Big Bang Theory.
- 3:54Yeah. Yeah. So the other cast, Shailene Woodley
- 3:58as Lindsay Mills. uh my favorite though was reese
- 4:02uh ifans as the like um corbin o 'brien the like
- 4:06director he's fucking good that guy's got a weird
- 4:11head and i say that every time i see him in a
- 4:13movie and i always enjoy him in movies but he's
- 4:15got a weird head i can't get over him basically
- 4:17always being like a soccer hooligan and everything
- 4:19i see and then this he was like a really buttoned
- 4:22up like spook i prefer a zipped up spook yeah
- 4:28I didn't have anything for that. Spooksuit. Spooksuit
- 4:32riot. LaKeith Stanfield. I love that guy. He's
- 4:36so fucking good. His buddy who does the sign
- 4:39language at the in Oahu. Yeah. Yeah. I like him.
- 4:43I think I always like him in pretty much everything.
- 4:46I like how cool he was about stepping on the
- 4:49evidence. Oh, yeah. Keeping it keeping it clean.
- 4:53Do a solid. Yeah. I will say Snowden leaving
- 4:56the base and him getting the chip out of there.
- 5:02The SD card in the Rubik's Cube. And he like
- 5:07tossing it to the guard and be like, you ever
- 5:08try one of these? I'm like, that's that's a cool
- 5:10spy move. He did a spy, everybody. I did like
- 5:16the other guard when the other guard gets a hold
- 5:18of the Rubik's Cube. It's like his solution to
- 5:19try and solve this to break it. I don't know.
- 5:23That's kind of the way I solved them whenever
- 5:25I did. I just took the stickers off. Yeah, take
- 5:27all the stickers off and put them back in the
- 5:28right order. I'm like, perfect. Duh. You guys
- 5:31suck at this, man. Well, and it felt appropriate
- 5:33to create that cinematic tension. Like he's going
- 5:35to break the cube open and find the SD card right
- 5:37there or something. Right. Yeah. Well, OK, so
- 5:40Elizabeth and Freeman, do you want to do a top
- 5:43level summation of this movie for us? Freeman.
- 5:47Completely unredacted. Yeah, exactly. Well, let's
- 5:51see. We start off with Snowden trying to join
- 5:55the Army Rangers and breaking his leg. His glass
- 6:01legs. Yeah, yeah. Just getting out the top bunk.
- 6:04Exactly. That scene grossed me out so bad. Oh,
- 6:09yeah, yeah. I don't know. I crushed a bone in
- 6:11my foot as a kid, so I was kind of related. I
- 6:14was like, ooh. Anytime I see a leg going the
- 6:16wrong direction, I'm just like, no. That's sad.
- 6:21And so then the medical doctor says, you know,
- 6:25thanks, son, but you can serve your country another
- 6:26way. So he goes and actually joins what the the
- 6:31CIA formally gets hired there. And then after
- 6:35kind of working his way up a little bit, requests
- 6:38what like field training? I guess I'm skipping
- 6:40the part where he's what at the. Or am I getting
- 6:43that out of order? No, you've got this in the
- 6:44right order. I mean, I think the only thing he
- 6:46missed is that he does that like long test for
- 6:48Corbin O 'Brien. He does it in like 40 minutes
- 6:50or whatever. Yeah. 38. Yeah. 38. So then he ends
- 6:54up, what, in Geneva? Mm -hmm. And that's where
- 6:57he first gets his kind of scope of the magnitude
- 7:00of the dragnet that's going on. Because the whole,
- 7:03the X search or the X type. Yeah, X key code
- 7:06or something. Yeah, exactly what it's called.
- 7:08Yeah, X code. That was kind of terrifying. Oh,
- 7:10and we get, what's his name? Fucking my favorite
- 7:13actor. Timothy Oliphant? Yeah, he's great. He
- 7:18always looks like the most smug motherfucker
- 7:20in the entire world. Yeah, that guy gives me
- 7:23the real kind of sleazy vibe. Yeah, he plays
- 7:26a sleazeball really well. Yeah, he would sell
- 7:29you his own mother. I mean, what kind of condition
- 7:32is she in? Low mileage. Okay, cool. I have need
- 7:39of secondhand mom, actually. Don't we all? And
- 7:46he flunks out of that horribly because he gets
- 7:50kind of all freaked out. He didn't like the consequences
- 7:52of his actions. Yeah. People got hurt. Yeah,
- 7:57like they basically pushed a teen girl to harm
- 7:59herself and all to put pressure on some banker.
- 8:04Yeah. And so then what? He gets his negative
- 8:07marks, and he basically leaves the CIA, but no
- 8:11one throws him in jail or anything, so that's
- 8:12good. What's a D -Rog? I should have looked that
- 8:15up. It's a derogatory comment on your card. That's
- 8:19what it is. I had to look it up. It's just a
- 8:20slur. Yeah, it's a D -Rog. It's kind of like
- 8:22a D -Mark, a D -Rog. Yeah, okay. In the corporate
- 8:26world, is that like a performance improvement
- 8:27plan? Is it like a PIP? That's kind of what I
- 8:30was thinking, yeah. It's just your... permanent
- 8:32record yeah it all goes down there they're gonna
- 8:34know when you apply for college that you were
- 8:36a bad cia spook and and so because he's a geek
- 8:40that can't uh get away from all this then he
- 8:42decides just to go to defense contractors doing
- 8:45kind of the same crap yeah uh which seemed a
- 8:48little weird yeah it's like i have a problem
- 8:49with what i do so i'll just do it somewhere else
- 8:53it's like what's what do you what do you think
- 8:55that's really gonna change i thought he was just
- 8:57like selling Oh, yeah. He was just like a salesman
- 9:01or something. Yeah. Like teaching people the
- 9:04basics of what he did, not necessarily doing
- 9:07it. But that seems like a character flaw. Like,
- 9:09I don't like what I'm doing. Let's just double
- 9:11down and do it somewhere else. Yes. Which his
- 9:13girlfriend picks up on later. She's like, why
- 9:16the fuck are you doing this? And actually jumping
- 9:18way back to when they were first walking around
- 9:21in Washington, D .C. on their first meetup. I
- 9:25wasn't thinking about this as like a real true
- 9:27story. I was thinking about this as some cinematic.
- 9:30And all of a sudden I started getting the vibes
- 9:33from her that like, she's like a spy herself
- 9:36and this is all going to go sideways or something.
- 9:39It was really weird. Their first interactions.
- 9:42It made me feel like something weird was going
- 9:45on. I got the same vibe. I also like, she shows
- 9:48up with the camera and stuff. I'm like, she's.
- 9:53she's a double agent i've also been watching
- 9:55a lot of ponies so i got spy on the brain yeah
- 9:58it definitely was something that didn't quite
- 10:00like flesh out throughout the whole movie like
- 10:03the like how willing he was to get his photo
- 10:05taken in the beginning versus in the end uh yeah
- 10:08it it doesn't get um as much to it as it probably
- 10:12needs to to make it worth having in the film
- 10:14well and it felt like The whole relationship
- 10:17arc was so rushed. I mean, it felt like, are
- 10:21we on their first date and they're kissing? I
- 10:24mean, that doesn't generally happen. Listen,
- 10:27they both like the same anime. You can go straight
- 10:29to kissing. That's good. You have a point. You
- 10:31have a point. Some geek finder. I mean, come
- 10:33on. That's right. It's true. I got the impression
- 10:36that that was their only message. yeah like she
- 10:41ragged him he was like oh ha ha and then they're
- 10:44on a date like because when he's in the cafe
- 10:47those are still the only messages on that app
- 10:49hey shared interest man i bet he just did a screen
- 10:54capture to relive the moment as someone who's
- 10:57familiar with the dating apps now like that was
- 10:59a much simpler time There was that moment in
- 11:02the coffee shop before she shows up and it like
- 11:04the door opens and a woman walks in and I'm like,
- 11:07oh, that's Lindsay Mills or whatever. And it's
- 11:11not. Then it switches to her showing up, Shailene
- 11:13Woodley. But apparently the person that does
- 11:15walk through the door is Lindsay Mills, the real
- 11:18one, like the real person. They just had her
- 11:20do that for some reason. So there's that weird
- 11:22moment where it like holds on her crossing the
- 11:24coffee shop. And I was like, who the fuck is
- 11:25that? yeah bizarre i guess i guess she can travel
- 11:29to uh wherever they were filming freely versus
- 11:31uh mr stone who could not well yeah that's a
- 11:35good point i was wondering throughout this entire
- 11:39movie and we do see it in the end but i'm like
- 11:40when are they actually just gonna switch to like
- 11:43showing us like the actual snowden when are they
- 11:44gonna do that little the camera trick to go from
- 11:46joseph gordon levitt to snowden i'm like and
- 11:48they did and i'm like damn Yeah, when they pull
- 11:51off the movie screen theater in the end and Snowden's
- 11:53just sitting there applauding. Hell yeah. When
- 11:58when Freddie and the Scooby gang like take off
- 12:00Joseph Gordon Levins mask and it's been Snowden
- 12:02the whole time. Oh, yeah. And then they take
- 12:05off that mask and it was Shia LaBeouf. It would
- 12:09be him. I will say the best part about this movie
- 12:12is Shia LaBeouf's not in it. Oh. I still love
- 12:15Shia LaBeouf. I say that about every movie Shia
- 12:18LaBeouf's not in. Because it is the best part
- 12:20of every movie he's not in. I fucking hate Shia
- 12:22LaBeouf. I don't like him as an actor, but I
- 12:25like him as a weirdo. He's a quality weirdo.
- 12:29I want Shia LaBeouf and Finn Wolfhard to fight
- 12:32to the death. And then I'll just beat up whoever's
- 12:36left after they're already mostly beaten to death.
- 12:39Alright, I'm going to circle right into this.
- 12:42You think you could take on Shia LaBeouf in a
- 12:44fist fight? After he's been beaten nearly to
- 12:47death? Maybe. You think Finn Wolfhard's going
- 12:50to beat him nearly to death? He's going to be
- 12:52rock hard and covered in Wolfhard blood. And
- 12:57you're going to have to fight a fully erect,
- 12:59blood -soaked Shia LaBeouf. He'll be too slippery.
- 13:07You're right, I can't do this. Yeah, you won't
- 13:08be able to hold on to him. I don't think this
- 13:12looks good for you, Sean. Nothing I say looks
- 13:15good for me. I'm going to put it on your tombstone,
- 13:17too. He was beaten to death by a rock hard, blood
- 13:21soaked Shia LaBeouf. Like we always knew he would
- 13:24be. Yeah, exactly. As it was foretold. You called
- 13:27your shot. This is you from the plate pointing
- 13:31to. the wall for the home run. This is this is
- 13:34it. I don't die. But you know what? It is my
- 13:37one wish to die in a real funny way. So that'll
- 13:40count. There you go. Well, I just know that he
- 13:42hasn't been doing a lot of acting lately, so
- 13:44he might be able to use 50 bucks. And if 50 bucks
- 13:48will do it, Shia LaBeouf, I got 50 bucks right
- 13:51now in a bucket of blood. Are you like just restarting
- 13:55bum fights or something? What's going on here?
- 13:57I'd be pretty cool, but I would just be offering
- 13:59liquor then. That's a good point. And sad. Yeah,
- 14:03Bumfights was sad. Yes. I mean, it's sad now.
- 14:07All right. So where were we? Lindsay Mills. Oh,
- 14:09I don't know. So we're back now. We're working
- 14:13contract work. The movie takes way too long.
- 14:16It is. It's kind of a long movie. Was it two
- 14:18hours, 10 to 14? I think the credits is 214.
- 14:21Yeah. There's a lot of noise in the middle that
- 14:23really does not need to be there. Yeah. Oh. Hold
- 14:27on. How about that noise at the end when they
- 14:29do the musical recap of it? That end song. It
- 14:34was about the Snowden thing. Oh, my God. That
- 14:36he wrote for this movie. Yeah. Peter fucking
- 14:39Gabriel singing the Snowden like recap theme.
- 14:43The veil. Oh, my God. I missed that. I turned
- 14:46that off. I was just. Oh, Sean, go back and listen
- 14:48to that. It's so bad. We watched the entire credits
- 14:51just to listen to the whole song. There's an
- 14:55ocean. I was going to make my normal joke about
- 14:59how they made a rap about it and they fucking
- 15:01did. And I missed it. Yes. It's actually a slow
- 15:04jam. It's something you could fuck to. You could
- 15:06fuck to it for sure. Would you want to? No. Is
- 15:10it worth trying? Maybe. Is Shia LaBeouf there
- 15:14in the cuck chair? Yeah. Rock hard. Rock hard.
- 15:17Covered in blood. Shia LaBeouf. Okay. So. contract
- 15:21work it's contract work uh and that just carries
- 15:24on all the way until what he does a really good
- 15:27job at the the backup program and then and then
- 15:31they they offer him a promotion to go to hawaii
- 15:34and that creates what conflict uh with uh that
- 15:38seizure well yeah there's that the seizure happens
- 15:42i think before he's honest about the hawaii job
- 15:46or did it happen no it happened right after he
- 15:49told her right after he said the about the hawaii
- 15:52job then he fell over in the kitchen right because
- 15:55then there was the belief of like oh maybe a
- 15:57warm relaxing environment would help with all
- 15:59of this yeah sure so we should go to hawaii and
- 16:02it just got worse and there he just gets what
- 16:07super deep into uh the cauldron and realizes
- 16:10that they have access to pretty much everything.
- 16:13And are using his tool that he developed for
- 16:15shit reasons. Yeah, and they're monitoring like
- 16:18seven times more Americans than they are like
- 16:21Russians or other foreign peoples. dhs is awesome
- 16:25well and then and then the the the subtle hints
- 16:28from people uh about them watching him and his
- 16:33girlfriend or watching the girlfriend and keeping
- 16:35the eyes on her that really sent him uh scrambling
- 16:39which rightfully so yeah like his father figured
- 16:41telling him that like yeah your girlfriend's
- 16:43not fucking that guy yeah yeah that makes me
- 16:46feel super comfortable knowing that you know
- 16:48that buddy yeah You just have that as like on
- 16:52hand information. OK, that scene, though, I did
- 16:55really like that with the video call between
- 16:58his boss, Corbin O 'Brien. Oh, the whole wall
- 17:00and like the wall. Yeah. Oh, yeah. He's just
- 17:02this giant fucking head. Yeah. Leading into the
- 17:05camera while while being the big head. That one,
- 17:08it was pretty tense, especially because he is
- 17:10being like, yeah, we are motherfucking watching
- 17:12you like we see everything you're doing, dude.
- 17:15Yeah. Yeah, you really had the sense that that
- 17:19Corbin was aware that he took up an entire wall
- 17:22and that by leaning into the camera, he was like
- 17:25filling the whole wall because it yeah, it felt
- 17:27very intimidating. And then it's around this
- 17:30time when he's really starting to, I think, turn
- 17:34and and start to show signs of like, I'm thinking
- 17:38about defecting. I'm thinking about doing something
- 17:40else. I'm thinking about trying to shine a light
- 17:43on all this. And so then what? They're at the
- 17:47house party and he's starting to ask people about
- 17:51the Nuremberg trials and talk about it. What
- 17:54do you think an NSA house party is really like?
- 17:57Just a bunch of agents and their wives and stuff.
- 17:59And like nobody talks about work, but they somehow
- 18:02still get really drunk. And it's got to be like
- 18:05a key party situation. Oh, my God. But like the
- 18:07one guy was talking about work. Yeah, he was
- 18:09sitting there just running his mouth about killing
- 18:11the families and bombing the children and all
- 18:13of this. Yeah. All right. So these parties rip.
- 18:17That's cool. Well, I thought it was weird that
- 18:20they just had like, I mean, a drone just like
- 18:23flying above the party. I'm like, that doesn't
- 18:24seem that's got a camera on it. That doesn't
- 18:27seem secure. Who's is that? Who's controlling
- 18:29that? Well, to me, though, you place it in the
- 18:32time frame of reality. Right. So about that time
- 18:37is when drones were becoming more popular in
- 18:39the public space. Right. So people were getting
- 18:43drones for Christmas. People were getting drones
- 18:46to play with. So they're like new on the scene.
- 18:50So it was new technology, something new for your
- 18:52average person to play with. So it felt like.
- 18:56Something the government had had for a really
- 18:58long time. All these guys knew what it was and
- 19:01they were absolutely not concerned about it because
- 19:05they already knew. Gross. I mean, I just think
- 19:09more of it as if it was my job to give the government
- 19:15people to blow up with drones. I think if I was
- 19:19just at a house party and someone just had a
- 19:20drone, that would just remind me of the horrible
- 19:22things I do and make me uncomfortable. Well,
- 19:24so throughout the movie, we bounce back from
- 19:27past to the present tense in the movie where
- 19:32they're in the hotel room in Hong Kong. I don't
- 19:34know. We're in the hotel room and he's like trying
- 19:37to get everything live and all the stories broken.
- 19:41Right. So he's stolen the data in like the most
- 19:44annoying drag and drop file copying. That was
- 19:48so bad. I would like who? I'm sorry. I have done
- 19:55so much drag and drop in my career, and the fact
- 19:59that he did it that way was so annoying. Like,
- 20:03you don't do that. You don't do that. Especially
- 20:06for someone whose job is working at the command
- 20:09line on a terminal. Totally. That just feels
- 20:11a little backwards. Like, he's going to script
- 20:13and automate everything. Yeah, that was probably
- 20:16just... shot that way for dummies who don't yeah
- 20:20it's just for the drama yeah yeah who have no
- 20:22idea how that stuff actually works yeah perhaps
- 20:24to lean into his claim that he left a uh a very
- 20:29obvious trail to himself so that his peers back
- 20:32there don't get in any trouble so that it shows
- 20:35that he had no accomplices or anything so maybe
- 20:37it was some lean into that i don't know i don't
- 20:40know it's frustrating I know there were a couple
- 20:44of people complaining on the Internet about like
- 20:46certain aspects, and that's one that got like
- 20:47the biggest complaints. And the other one was
- 20:49like, that wasn't a cray one that he saw with
- 20:51Nick Cage. That was a cray two. Fucking dork.
- 20:56Yeah. Nobody cares. Apparently. Some people do.
- 21:01Some people do. Oh, man. Yeah. So. it just kind
- 21:07of exists in like the movie in like two time
- 21:10lines where they flash back and forth where he's
- 21:12talking to the reporters in the the current times
- 21:15of like dealing out this information and then
- 21:18like the recounting of the story it kind of comes
- 21:21to the end of the film right just uh finishing
- 21:24up this whole like getting the information out
- 21:26getting it to the guardian and like pushing for
- 21:30all this to get released and then you know kind
- 21:32of the wrap -up of uh fucking him having to go
- 21:36to russia and now having citizenship there yeah
- 21:40um that's kind of that's all that i think we
- 21:43really need to know except for who is nicholas
- 21:45cage in this film we've talked about the whole
- 21:47film and we only like mentioned nicholas cage
- 21:49once now nicholas cage plays fictional x cia
- 21:54x s you know or is he fictional I don't think
- 21:58he's a real guy. I didn't zero like history into
- 22:02this. Yeah. Hank Forrester is the character.
- 22:04I did a mild Google. He's not, yeah, not a real
- 22:06person. He was just, I mean, I'm sure he had
- 22:08like an amalgamation of that character that existed
- 22:11in Snowden's life, but yeah. I mean, it's not
- 22:14like he was an important person in his story
- 22:16at all. So he's in like three scenes, but he
- 22:20does have perhaps one of the best lines of the
- 22:22movie. You've come to the right little whorehouse.
- 22:25Indeed, indeed. Yeah. I was going to say, when
- 22:28Snowden's just waxing poetically about how much
- 22:30he doesn't have a girlfriend, that he just loves
- 22:32computers. Yeah, that's his drug of choice. That's
- 22:35his drug of choice. I don't drink. I don't do
- 22:38any drugs. I just love these computers. I really
- 22:43liked it at the end when Snowden's on the news
- 22:46and all the reports are coming out and Nick Cage
- 22:48is just sitting in his armchair drinking a beer
- 22:50and smoking a cigarette. He did it. He fucking
- 22:54did it. He calls his wife in or some shit. He's
- 23:00like, look it, look it. It's that guy I met seven
- 23:05years ago. He's on the TV. He did it. He's spilling
- 23:08the beans about all those things we do that I
- 23:10never told you about. By the way, this was my
- 23:13life. This is how we paid for this house. The
- 23:17government has so much footage of us having sex.
- 23:20Oh, yeah. Nice. Only if your laptop's open. That's
- 23:23true. Yeah. Without a bandaid over the camera.
- 23:26Yeah. Or a little privacy screen. Yeah. I know.
- 23:30Yeah. When I worked at the salt company. the
- 23:34ceo he came by at one point he was just like
- 23:36everybody cover up your cameras and he gave us
- 23:38all those little like camera protector things
- 23:40the slidey ones and he's like because people
- 23:42are watching yeah it's like oh i think you're
- 23:44having an episode right now but no no not not
- 23:48having an episode no a lot of modern laptops
- 23:52just have a built -in physical shutter you can
- 23:53close now as well yeah yeah there was a reason
- 23:56for that yeah It was absolutely true that they
- 24:01could remote into your laptop or your phone and
- 24:04activate your camera without having the light
- 24:07on and watch you. That's so fucking creepy. I
- 24:11don't know. I'm sure the technology still exists,
- 24:13but I have not heard of instances of it happening.
- 24:16It's all pretty creepy. Yes. Yes. Welcome to
- 24:21data privacy. I'm going to start whacking off
- 24:23in front of ring cams now. Every ring cam, right?
- 24:26Every ring cam I see. Motion detected. Just one
- 24:28big butthole shot from me. I'm going to bring
- 24:31a stool to stand on. Your only fan page is on
- 24:34Flock. Palantir. In favor of the best. So this
- 24:41is a good time then, Elizabeth. Let's talk more
- 24:43about the data privacy aspects of it all. What
- 24:45can you bring to the table? I will say it's worse
- 24:51now. The amount of data that is collected on
- 24:54your average person is exponentially more than
- 24:59what was collected at the time of this movie.
- 25:02And it's not just the government, right? Like
- 25:05data brokers are a thing and corporations, the
- 25:11amount of data that is collected. That's why
- 25:14we need giant data centers. It's not just AI.
- 25:17It's every moment that you spend online, every
- 25:21transaction you make. And you might think like,
- 25:25oh, I clicked on this app on my phone, right?
- 25:29So if you have an app on your phone, they're
- 25:31not just knowing that you clicked on that app.
- 25:34They know where the app lives on your phone screen.
- 25:37They know if you have location services turned
- 25:39on, they know where you were in the world when
- 25:43you clicked on that app, right? And not just
- 25:46that. If you're clicking on that app and you
- 25:50have location services turned on, which is why
- 25:52in data privacy, we say, turn it off. Don't allow
- 25:56this stuff. But then how do I watch my boys dots?
- 25:59I need to know where Freeman and Nick are at
- 26:02all times. You can turn it on for certain things,
- 26:04but like your average app, you don't want to
- 26:07allow location services. So if I click on an
- 26:10app and I am in a location, the app knows where
- 26:13I'm at. depending on their marketing services,
- 26:17they can also know all of the marketing that
- 26:20I am being exposed to in the real world. Geolocation,
- 26:24what else am I looking at? What I could possibly
- 26:27be looking at? Hot singles near you. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:32And that's where they kind of get the marketing
- 26:36dialed down for each person, right? So it's all
- 26:41to sell you stuff. I mean, that's one thing I
- 26:43found about this film watching it. I'm just like,
- 26:46this all seems so quaint now. This is terrible
- 26:50and terrifying that this was happening, but this
- 26:53all seems so. so quaint and innocent compared
- 26:56to like the capitalist hellscape we now live
- 26:59in yeah the dorks have gotten real good at it
- 27:01even just uh the proliferation of smartphones
- 27:04and i think it's the apps and the integrations
- 27:06there right the the timeline of this film you
- 27:09know the iphone wasn't released until 2007 so
- 27:11that's only kind of the second half of of this
- 27:14collection of information and it's only become
- 27:17richer and more robust uh painting a picture
- 27:20about us and i think Back to the data privacy,
- 27:24really what we start marching towards potentially
- 27:26are markets of one, which is whoever's selling
- 27:30you something knows enough about you that they
- 27:32can give you an individualized price. And that
- 27:35could be a very bad thing. Let's say it's determined
- 27:38that you had a loved one die in Ohio. And so
- 27:41they're pretty clear that you're going to be
- 27:43trying to fly to Ohio. They're not going to show
- 27:45you any discounted tickets to go to Ohio because
- 27:47they know that your aunt just died. So you would
- 27:51have to ask a friend to go book airfare for me
- 27:53if you want to see the real flight prices, because
- 27:56if you go searching, you're only going to see
- 27:58inflated prices. If they're not also tracking
- 28:02whether or not your friends are looking at the
- 28:04same thing that you're looking at, right? Yeah,
- 28:06that's where it gets. Yeah, and that's they hit
- 28:10on the movie a little bit about like, oh, you
- 28:11have this one person that you're tracking and
- 28:13then you one jump from them and it gives you
- 28:15like three hops and three hops. Yeah, it's like,
- 28:17holy fuck. Yeah, yeah. Nick, Nick, we're losing
- 28:22Bill. Make a dick joke. Well, this whole time
- 28:26I've just been thinking that I'm going to make
- 28:27a move back to hard copy pornography, just magazines
- 28:31and VHS tapes because I can't trust DVD players
- 28:34now either. A lot of them hook up to the Internet.
- 28:36like i mean sure the quality is better but everybody's
- 28:42gonna know you only need the audio it worked
- 28:45for me for a long time when i was younger i've
- 28:47actually been making my own audio for years so
- 28:50just put it on mute i'm like oh oh yeah yeah
- 28:53that's that's how you do it girl in my mind this
- 28:56is nick horn that is how you do it girl does
- 29:00anyone ever like think about the lost art of
- 29:03like over like there used to be just a job to
- 29:05like overdub moans and stuff in porn. And like,
- 29:08that's a lost art now. How do you think they
- 29:10made the fuck sounds? And then with a little
- 29:17spit in there too. Yeah. All right. This feels
- 29:20back to like episodes one, two or three of us
- 29:22recording this podcast. I mean, okay. How much
- 29:25roast beef do you think you need to be like a
- 29:28porno Foley artist? Just get that meat slapping
- 29:33sound. Yeah. Yeah. It's the most versatile pornographic
- 29:38of luncheon meats. You get audio from it. You
- 29:41can do macro photography with it. I think you
- 29:44can do it a lot better like spanking a ham hock
- 29:47or something. I fucking spank a ham hock all
- 29:50the time. I mean, like thinking about it, I don't
- 29:53know that roast beef is actually. the right meat
- 29:58to use. I don't think it would be either. It's
- 29:59pretty dry meat. Would you be a little thin?
- 30:02A little thin. It gives you the right visual,
- 30:04but not the audio. Right, right. I mean, you
- 30:06need something thicker so that you actually get
- 30:07the... Slap? The sound. A little jiggle. That's
- 30:11why I thought ham hock. That's a nice mortadella.
- 30:14You know, well, yeah. Would you want it to be
- 30:17like, have like the moist sound component with
- 30:20it too, right? Yeah, I think turkey breast would
- 30:23be good. Turkey's probably a good call. A good
- 30:25thick cut. Like brined in like a saltwater solution.
- 30:31Turkey breast. Hormel. Genio. Hormel. Thanks,
- 30:39Freeman. Oh, man. I needed that in my life. He
- 30:44does what he can. Yeah. This is why he's a returning
- 30:46guest. Yeah, we know what we get. Nick Cage was
- 30:52great. Yeah, I think all seven of his lines were
- 30:55delivered perfectly. He was fine. So this was
- 30:57my thought going in, like after watching the
- 31:00film and going into this, like, did it need to
- 31:02be Nick Cage? I like that it was. That's why
- 31:04we watched it. But like, does he actually add
- 31:06anything to the film? No, artistically, no. I
- 31:11don't think it made the fictional character in
- 31:13the dramatized biofilm better. So it always begs
- 31:17the question then, you know, this is what Sean
- 31:19and I were talking about the other day. It's
- 31:20like, why did he do this movie? Right. Like I
- 31:23tried to look up an interview or anything and
- 31:25I, I couldn't find anything from him, but prevailing
- 31:27theory is just work with Oliver Stone. Yeah.
- 31:30I mean, cause he had done nine 11 with Oliver
- 31:32Stone. Um, so I blocked that one out of my brain.
- 31:37Nick Cage did nine 11. Uh, so yeah. Uh, so he
- 31:44did that one. I'm sure it was just like, Let's
- 31:47be, you know, I'm going to help my buddy out
- 31:49one way or the other. I'm not sure who needed
- 31:50the help at that point. But I think he had an
- 31:54idea of like the type of agent he would be. And
- 31:59then that's what he put into the movie. So one
- 32:03of my biggest grapes about this movie was the
- 32:07smoking in the federal building around all of
- 32:11the equipment. That's great, too. Oh, I just
- 32:14I was. I just went off at the end of the movie.
- 32:18Like, why? Why? Smoking? So I looked it up. There
- 32:23was a federal ban on smoking in buildings in
- 32:261997. This movie starts in 2004. But then you
- 32:32don't have the drama of the cigarette smoking.
- 32:352004 is when he he started trying to army in
- 32:39the army. I wasn't trying to. I was just trying
- 32:43to think about when I was not allowed to smoke
- 32:45indoors in Oregon anymore. Yeah. I was 21, 22.
- 32:51Yeah. Here in Washington, it was like 2005 or
- 32:54six. Yeah. Yeah. Because I did a bowling league
- 32:57in Ballard in 2004 and it was very. Sunset Bowl.
- 33:00Yeah. Oh, yeah. I miss Sunset Bowl. Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:03So did I. It was a good league. Yeah. We had
- 33:06a free pool Bloody Mary club on Sundays. because
- 33:12it was like $1 .75 Bloody Marys. They were like
- 33:15little half ones, but free pool. And we just
- 33:17hang out, smoke cigarettes and drink Bloody Marys.
- 33:19It was great. But why would you be smoking around
- 33:22all of that historical equipment? Well, I mean,
- 33:25it was a pretty old bar, but I don't know. It's
- 33:28in the movie. I'm back to the movie. I'm no longer
- 33:31talking about your history. I'm thinking about
- 33:34the movie and my irritation. I just think of
- 33:38old school geeks and just smoking and working
- 33:4116 hours a day and like that they lived on cigarettes.
- 33:44I agree, but it's not in the federal buildings.
- 33:48I would agree. I think it's kind of fucking weird.
- 33:51It took me out to have shot it that way. Yeah,
- 33:53it took me out of the time frame. I was like,
- 33:56what are we in the 70s or in the 80s now? Like
- 33:59this just. I don't know. When we started at Washington
- 34:02Mutual, there was still a smoking room inside.
- 34:04And this was in 2002, 2001. And there was still
- 34:07a couple of offices that the people had finally
- 34:10retired, but they had like grandfathered claws
- 34:12to smoke in their own office. And when those
- 34:15people left, like they had a heavy scrub and
- 34:17whoever got it next was just like very upset.
- 34:20Like, this is not OK. It is baked in at that
- 34:23point. Yeah. You don't get rid of that smell.
- 34:24No. Yeah. No. That's in everything. Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:27Never leaves. Oh, yeah. No. We used to like a
- 34:29ghost. Yeah. Yes. Before it was banned, I had
- 34:32like jackets and stuff like this is my bar jacket
- 34:35because I wasn't a smoker. And yeah. Yeah. Do
- 34:38you think the Atlanta airport still has that
- 34:41indoor smoking room? Does Vegas still have the
- 34:44cubes? in like the middle of the uh las vegas
- 34:47had those big smoking cubes in the middle of
- 34:49the terminals yeah i don't recall seeing those
- 34:53any any time they did uh when there was the weather
- 34:56storm or whatever it was a snowstorm yeah like
- 34:59four or five years ago yeah uh las vegas well
- 35:03a snowstorm in denver well here we got we got
- 35:06detoured through vegas come on i'm a simple man
- 35:08you gotta let me know we were visiting my family
- 35:10in colorado oh okay and there was a huge snowstorm
- 35:14And we couldn't get home. And then finally, we
- 35:17we went to Vegas for a layover. We were there
- 35:21for like five hours or something. Yeah. So we
- 35:25wandered the airport, noticed lots of things.
- 35:28We walked everywhere without leaving security
- 35:30that we could. Yeah, that's true. I spend as
- 35:32little time in the Vegas airport as possible.
- 35:35Yeah, it's not a very fun one. Yeah, I similar
- 35:39to Freeman. I end up going to the airport earlier
- 35:42than I need to be usually because I'm a little
- 35:44stressed out about traveling. I ain't got a family.
- 35:47I mean, the Vegas airport is fucking terrible
- 35:49to spend time in. So this didn't happen on our
- 35:53last Vegas trip. But when Peter and I did the
- 35:55Vegas half marathon with Bill, Peter and I went
- 35:57to the airport. My flight was about 30 minutes
- 36:00after Peter's. Peter gets on, gets an upgrade.
- 36:05Yeah. I got first class. And my flight is delayed
- 36:07three hours. God is good. I'm so mad about it.
- 36:16Yeah. Okay. So overall, what are the thoughts
- 36:19about this movie? Like I watched it. I liked
- 36:22it. I felt tense through it. It was too long.
- 36:25I was worried that it was going to be a slow.
- 36:29burn a slog and i was i enjoyed the whole thing
- 36:32front to back i didn't there were parts of it
- 36:35that i'm like we didn't need but none of it felt
- 36:36like none of it took me out of it none of it
- 36:38bored me um the only thing that really took me
- 36:40out of it there were two things one was the overuse
- 36:43of music cues to like try and amp up the drama
- 36:46i'm like this could have just had a silent background
- 36:47and i would not and i wouldn't have thought twice
- 36:49about it but because we got this sappy ass music
- 36:51here i'm thinking about that shitty music and
- 36:53now i'm kind of like meh i care it wasn't that
- 36:56sad and then just every scene just had background
- 37:01music for no reason yeah and the second thing
- 37:03that really took me out of the film was joseph
- 37:05gordon levitt um i think he's a great actor i
- 37:07think he was great in this i just can't not see
- 37:10him like i never see him disappear in a role
- 37:12it's just here's joseph gordon levitt and that's
- 37:15a personal thing but i find him distracting Was
- 37:19he in Looper or was that Shia LaBeouf? He was
- 37:20Looper. It could have been Shia LaBeouf. Sorry,
- 37:25what if Shia LaBeouf had gotten the Snowden role?
- 37:27Better or worse? Way worse. You sure about that?
- 37:30Way worse. Just do it! Leak the information!
- 37:36Do it! What did you guys think? Systems engineer
- 37:44guy myself. It's always fun to kind of see the
- 37:47super nerds and see them succeeding and racing
- 37:50forward and kind of getting praise for their
- 37:55abilities to do more than others. So that part,
- 38:01I really kind of appreciate it. And, you know,
- 38:05it makes you want to kind of be like them. How
- 38:08true or not it was, I really appreciated the
- 38:10leaning into like the fact that Snowden just
- 38:13wanted to get the information out there and that
- 38:15he wasn't trying to be a hero or a villain or
- 38:19anything. He just felt like people needed to
- 38:21learn about this and come to their own conclusions.
- 38:25um and that it wasn't like a get rich thing or
- 38:27anything else and he wasn't trying to absolve
- 38:30for any sins or anything like that he's just
- 38:32like look like like this is going on people need
- 38:35to be aware that uh that this is happening and
- 38:38some of that almost makes me think you know maybe
- 38:40that might have some uh truth as to why or some
- 38:43explanation as to why you like nick cage might
- 38:45want to take a role in a movie like this like
- 38:47you wouldn't want to be part of telling that
- 38:49story right right real altruistic motivation
- 38:53or you know it's always been presented that way
- 38:55yeah so yeah we really don't have much reason
- 38:58to doubt it like he he knew he was gonna be like
- 39:02never able to come back to america it also makes
- 39:05you think though if he's such a good super nerd
- 39:07like what good work has he been doing for russia
- 39:09uh since he's been there yep yep it's fair yeah
- 39:13there's got to be some like back scratching like
- 39:16i was just uh watching some interviews with oliver
- 39:19stone who you know met snowden worked with him
- 39:24to make the movie and like interviewed him several
- 39:27times to like write the script and uh hearing
- 39:31him talk about edward snowden like when edward
- 39:34snowden did this he didn't necessarily anticipate
- 39:36even living beyond this because his plan was
- 39:40to get to south america and when he was laid
- 39:42over in russia america like pulled his passport
- 39:45so he just can't leave he is stranded in In Russia,
- 39:49if he had made it to Brazil, do you think he
- 39:52would have gotten like a hot new face or a butt
- 39:55lift? Yeah. Yeah. Snowden with a big old Brazilian
- 39:58butt lift. But just fucking cake. Yeah, man.
- 40:02That'd be so cool. Lindsay Mills just bouncing
- 40:04on it. I'm burying her face in it because it's
- 40:07Brazil. Just do it. That's true. But Elizabeth,
- 40:11what did you think of this movie? I think for
- 40:15me. It brought back a lot of memories from when
- 40:20this actually happened. I didn't realize how
- 40:24much this storyline actually affected my personal
- 40:27career. I mean, there was a lot of data privacy
- 40:31things already in the books, already happening.
- 40:34GDPR was already, the General Data Protection
- 40:37Regulation, which is in the EU, better known
- 40:40as GDPR, was already underway. Legally codified.
- 40:48Yes. Yet. But they were working on it. But his
- 40:52statements about where the government is deciding
- 40:56things on behalf of people, assuming that they
- 41:00know what's best. And that's a storyline that's
- 41:03happening today. Right. Like, we know what's
- 41:07best for you. We know what's best for you with
- 41:08your data. And most people just are not educated.
- 41:13So for me, it was like, yeah. That's still happening.
- 41:16Still happening. And I honestly, I don't know
- 41:19what the answer would be. It's a little complicated
- 41:22and I don't think a lot of people really care.
- 41:25Right. That whole line with like, well, I'm not
- 41:28doing anything so they can watch me. I've got
- 41:31nothing to hide. I've got nothing to hide. Right.
- 41:33Yeah. And you're just like, oh, if you only knew
- 41:37what they were doing with your data. But so,
- 41:40you know, I think it's still a lot of the topics
- 41:43are still very relevant for today. The movie
- 41:46overall, it was too long. It just felt so long.
- 41:50We paused an hour in and I was like, are you
- 41:52kidding me? There's an hour left of this movie.
- 41:57And I feel like they really took their time with
- 42:00the middle part of the movie, which I think could
- 42:03have been condensed. And they could have spent
- 42:06a little bit more time on him getting trapped
- 42:09in Moscow. And what happened with that and some
- 42:11of the the press and all of that and how people
- 42:14were actually reacting to what he did. I felt
- 42:17like that was really glossed over. Yeah, because
- 42:19he was fairly maligned in America after it happened.
- 42:22Like they kind of give you some broad strokes
- 42:26of like, oh, you know, he he's a bad human being,
- 42:30says Obama and things like that. Yeah. But it
- 42:34doesn't really kind of give you the full feeling
- 42:37of. what the general conversation about him was
- 42:41in mainstream media. Like, how did he feel about
- 42:44getting trapped in Moscow? How did he feel about
- 42:46having to make a new life there? Like, what did
- 42:50Lindsay feel about him getting trapped there?
- 42:54Right. Like that was missing. If you really want
- 42:58me to connect with them and the story, give me
- 43:01a little bit more about how they feel about where
- 43:04they are now that that was missing. I could use
- 43:07a follow up. Yeah. Him with a single tear. Just
- 43:11my butt was going to be so big. And I feel like
- 43:16I mean, I feel like that's true with most like
- 43:19based on real events. Dramatizations is, you
- 43:21know, there's that balance of reality versus
- 43:24character. And I find a lot movies like this
- 43:27tend to be really dry in that sense where they
- 43:29don't necessarily engage you so much on the character
- 43:31when they're trying to get the facts correct.
- 43:33So I would have also liked to care about these
- 43:35people more personally. and that is a much more
- 43:38interesting story like where kind of the aftermath
- 43:41of all of this just just a little bit more of
- 43:43the aftermath i think would have made it a little
- 43:46less hunting and yeah talking about hunting and
- 43:53the slowness in the middle and a little more
- 43:55action at the end because it was there was a
- 43:59lot of media attention there was a i'm sure he
- 44:02had so many thoughts and feelings and we don't
- 44:04get any of it right we get him in a room hiding
- 44:07out and then on a plane and then in another room
- 44:10giving his little end speech right like yeah
- 44:14they cut out the boat chase scene that really
- 44:16disappointed me because i love a boat chase I
- 44:19just assume there's always a boat chase that
- 44:21got cut out of films. They cut out the scene
- 44:23where him and Nicolas Cage switch faces. Oh,
- 44:26yeah. Yes, yes, yes. Right. They've had that
- 44:28technology for so long. I do have to say during
- 44:31the hunting scene, I for I don't know why, but
- 44:35I went my mind went to the story of Dick Cheney
- 44:37shooting his partner in the face. Yes. And I
- 44:39was like, so just waiting for someone to get
- 44:41blasted or maybe even snowed, even though it
- 44:43wasn't part of the real story. I was just like,
- 44:45give me give me someone to drama. Same, same.
- 44:47And when the rest of like the hunting party came
- 44:50over the ridge, I was like, are we just are we
- 44:51going to have a shootout? Or is there going to
- 44:53be an accident? It felt like that for sure. It
- 44:56really did. This movie definitely needed something
- 44:58actiony. I think I think that was there between.
- 45:02Yeah, there's just a couple of scenes where it
- 45:04felt like something really dramatic was going
- 45:06to happen. But because you knew it was a documentary
- 45:09that that wasn't part of the story. So then it
- 45:12just I don't know. It left me kind of like feel
- 45:16like they were setting up for something that
- 45:18wasn't there. I thought it was an all right movie.
- 45:21I mean, I enjoyed watching it. It was long. Yeah,
- 45:24it didn't really. thrill me it made me paranoid
- 45:28made me really upset um i am excited about trying
- 45:34to go a whole month without watching porno i'd
- 45:37still whack off i'm gonna like let's be real
- 45:41i am still whacking off everybody but i'm gonna
- 45:45try to get off everybody i'm just gonna use where's
- 45:47mine my imagination imagination yeah i'm just
- 45:50imagining did i did i black out again no more
- 45:53no more porn Just for one month. I don't know.
- 45:57We'll find a cool no nut November kind of name
- 45:59for like manual. March? March or something. I
- 46:04mean, it's always manual, right? Like I don't
- 46:06have a cool robot. So we're trying to find it.
- 46:09When we get the right name, we'll assign it to
- 46:11a month. Like this could not happen until September.
- 46:15Why aren't you watching porn? Huh? Because I
- 46:18don't want the government to know my pornos.
- 46:22But I'm not doing this until I have a clever
- 46:24like alliteration. Just watch them at the library.
- 46:26Oh, like all the other homeless people? Fucking
- 46:29Seattle library. I have to go back. I have a,
- 46:32oh, I have a inspection at the Seattle, the Beacon
- 46:35Library this week. So I just put in some chargers
- 46:38there. So I'll make sure to dive in for a quick.
- 46:41You got to bring your little privacy film. I
- 46:43won't. You know, people from the side. I'm going
- 46:45to use a magnifying glass. Like one of those
- 46:48screen magnifiers for the people in the back.
- 46:52I'm bringing my own speakers. You're an actual
- 46:54criminal. Bring in some clip speakers to hook
- 46:58up. And a subwoofer so that they get the whole
- 47:02like turkey slapping feel. Oh my god. Okay. Cranberry
- 47:10sauce in the middle. There you go. You gotta
- 47:14have some slop. You really get it working. Then
- 47:18you need something to show like... You could
- 47:21have gone with gravy, man. Yeah, gravy's much
- 47:23better. Gravy doesn't have that gelatinous pull
- 47:26kind of feel. It gives a better suction. You
- 47:28need that sucking. You need the sucking sound
- 47:31of the cranberry sauce coming out of the can.
- 47:33Sean knows how to beat off to food noises. So
- 47:37this Thanksgiving, I'm really looking forward
- 47:38to being with my family. You are all monsters.
- 47:43You said the cranberry as a as a like a fleshlight.
- 47:46Yeah, I'll bring dessert next. We've got the
- 47:51movie Arsenal, which is a cream pie. Oh, no.
- 47:55Fuck off. This week in cage, we got a spider.
- 47:59We got a spider noir trailer. Yeah, the spider
- 48:02noir. Did you guys watch it? yeah i saw a trailer
- 48:05uh during the olympics like i was sitting at
- 48:09the bar and the olympics are on and all of a
- 48:10sudden i saw spider noir trailer and i was like
- 48:13i was slapping lance and i'm like yeah it looks
- 48:18awesome i'm gonna i'm still definitely watching
- 48:20it in black and white oh at least on the first
- 48:22go wait you're not gonna watch it in real hue
- 48:24real hue sounds pretty good too i would like
- 48:27it if it was just like uh old colorized photography
- 48:31Like some some nerd had to go through every cell,
- 48:33every cell and like with colored pencils kind
- 48:37of shaded in. That's history, baby. I am shocked
- 48:41to say this looks like it might be quality. I
- 48:44was expecting this to look a lot worse. I mean,
- 48:46I was going to watch it. I was going to enjoy
- 48:48it no matter what. But this feels like something
- 48:50I'm actually going to enjoy more than like be
- 48:52able to rag on as much as I was hoping. Yeah.
- 48:54And it looks like it's got some real quality
- 48:56like. cage out moments and stuff for sure yeah
- 48:59it should be really fun i'm looking forward to
- 49:02it that that's what march comes out march may
- 49:05i think it starts with a may masturbation may
- 49:08yeah yeah masturbation mental mental how you
- 49:14get up the maple that just sounds too much like
- 49:16menstruation may yeah we'll get there yeah we'll
- 49:18figure it out check back next time anyway elizabeth
- 49:22freeman thank you for being here thank you for
- 49:25having us indeed All right. Next up, we've got
- 49:27the movie Arsenal, which is the return of Nick
- 49:29Cage as Eddie King, his character that he played
- 49:31in Deadfall. Yes. So I think it's a prequel because
- 49:35he got friolated. So it's a prequel and a sequel.
- 49:39There's no reason for this movie. Yeah, I don't
- 49:43know. It's going to be fun. I think my brother's
- 49:44going to be our guest for that. So that'll be
- 49:46good. All right. So thank you to our sparkle
- 49:51buddies, Josh, Josie, Matt, Adam, Bill, Stuart,
- 49:53and Willow. And to our cage dancers, John Freeman,
- 49:56Nathan, and Cameron. Hey Freeman. That's it.
- 50:03Do you need me to get some deli meats? I don't
- 50:07know. Can I kiss that ham? I want to kiss that
- 50:12ham. Don't touch that dog. His head topples to
- 50:21the floor, expressionless. You fall to your knees
- 50:25and catch your breath. You're finally safe from
- 50:30Shia LaBeouf. my house heat just came on. I'm
- 50:45going to go turn that off because it will just
- 50:46be like a background noise thing. Yeah. What
- 50:49just came on? Don't be funny. Do you want us
- 50:51to take a second so you can get clean house noise
- 50:53air? It's warmer in here. Because the house heats
- 51:01on. We're going to fix that. Don't ever stop
- 51:03taking clothes off, though. Oh, we've changed.
- 51:07We're a strip podcast now. Yeah. I was unaware.
- 51:10Yeah. Sorry. This is happening. It's only Freeman
- 51:13rules, though. Oh, OK. Yeah. So it's actually
- 51:16best for everybody. It's either all my clothes
- 51:18or none of my clothes. Yep. We're going to get
- 51:21you. I'm not wearing pants. I'm not wearing pants.
- 51:23You're usually not wearing pants, though, unless
- 51:25it's a smart pantsuit. Just Winnie the Pooh -ing
- 51:28or what? Wouldn't you like to find out? Want
- 51:31me to stand up? No. No, thank you. Casual pass.
- 51:35Sean's going to get up and go get some more hot
- 51:37water in the kitchen and we'll all just get a
- 51:38moonshot. Whoa! Very nice. Very nice.
