- 0:05have been a slam dunk and easy to get them back?
- 0:09And why do some people get their X's back against seemingly all
- 0:13odds? Is there a common denominator
- 0:17and if so, what is it? Well, stay tuned and you'll find
- 0:20out. Hi, this is Lucia with the Art

- 0:55OK, so in order to make my point as to what the common
- 0:58denominator is, I have a story for you.
- 1:01It's it's story time boys and girls.
- 1:04OK, so there's this influencer who I follow and she seemingly
- 1:09has it all. She's attractive, well off, well
- 1:12spoken, intelligent, popular, blah blah blah.
- 1:15You know the whole package. And yet she cannot keep a man to
- 1:20save her life. Inevitably, something always
- 1:24happens. Either they break up with her or
- 1:27they do something where she has no choice but to break up with
- 1:30them. And earlier this year, she
- 1:34started dating someone. And again, he's, he's great.
- 1:37I think he's the one. And when I saw that video, my
- 1:41first thought was, OK, how long until we get the breakup video?
- 1:45Well, I didn't have to wait very long because about two or three
- 1:49months later, there it is. She started off the video by
- 1:53crying and like, oh boy, it happened.
- 1:57And yes, he broke up with her. So then she, you know, she's
- 2:03very reflective. And so she thought about the
- 2:06reasons why this happened yet again.
- 2:10And she had some very good arguments.
- 2:13You know, the circumstances weren't exactly right.
- 2:15Me, I would have said that the reason that happened was because
- 2:18he hadn't had enough time between relationships.
- 2:23And she said, fine, but you know what, there's people who met
- 2:30under those circumstances where the circumstances were not
- 2:34ideal. Maybe they were both in
- 2:35relationships or maybe only one of them was in a relationship or
- 2:40as in this case, they hadn't had enough time after their previous
- 2:43relationship and yet it still worked out.
- 2:46So you can't blame circumstances.
- 2:47And I thought, well, you know what, She's right.
- 2:51And she said that other people have said to her, well, you
- 2:55should have picked someone who's whole and complete because this
- 2:58guy had to work to do it himself.
- 3:00But does that mean that everybody who's in a
- 3:02relationship is whole and complete?
- 3:05No, usually they're not. So it's not like you're going to
- 3:10pick someone who's whole and complete and then it's going to
- 3:12work out. And if you don't pick someone
- 3:13who's whole and complete, it's not going to work out because
- 3:15it's worked out for so many people to be with someone who's
- 3:17not whole and complete. Other friends said to her, well,
- 3:22you, you need to focus on yourself.
- 3:24But she is focused on herself. She's worked on herself plenty.
- 3:28And a lot of people have not worked on themselves and yet
- 3:31they're still in a relationship. So it's not like only people who
- 3:35are perfect and healthy and whole get into relationships or
- 3:39get their ex back and everyone else doesn't.
- 3:43So what is the problem? I thought, OK, it's got to be
- 3:48something else besides these circumstances.
- 3:52And that is I felt it was her self worth.
- 3:56And in fact she actually mentioned that a few weeks later
- 4:01in a video that she has low self worth.
- 4:04And self worth is simply the value and respect you have for
- 4:08yourself, regardless of external factors like achievements,
- 4:13possessions, other people's opinions.
- 4:15That's why someone can seemingly have have it all, have
- 4:19everything like this influencer, but still have low self worth.
- 4:24You know, you've heard people say, Oh my God, but you have
- 4:26everything. You're beautiful, you're this,
- 4:27you're that. Why do you think so little of
- 4:29yourself? Well, I'll tell you why.
- 4:32Because triggers for self worth are childhood abuse, either
- 4:36physical or sexual, other childhood trauma such as a
- 4:40parent or sibling dying, a parent suddenly leaving, losing
- 4:44your home, being bullied, anything that affected your
- 4:47sense of safety. AC ES which stands for adverse
- 4:52childhood experiences. And this could be things like
- 4:55neglect, growing up in poverty, an alcoholic or sick parent, one
- 5:00parent being violent to the other, a family member going to
- 5:03jail, your parents divorcing, poor parenting such as frequent
- 5:09punishments and criticism, high standards, not being shown
- 5:12enough affection. These can lead to low self
- 5:16worth. So if you have low self worth,
- 5:19it doesn't matter how ideal the circumstances are for you to get
- 5:23your ex back. If you don't believe you're
- 5:25worthy, your beliefs become a self fulfilling prophecy, as in
- 5:31the case of this influencer who cannot seem to keep a guy.
- 5:37So how do we change our beliefs? Well, we have to change our self
- 5:43concept. And self concept is how you see
- 5:47yourself. So when you have low self worth,
- 5:50you don't have a positive self concept.
- 5:53But just as you programmed yourself with a negative self
- 5:57concept with your thoughts and feelings, you can reprogram
- 6:02yourself with new thoughts that will eventually lead to new
- 6:06feelings, which lead to a better self concept, which leads to a
- 6:10better outcome. And the best way I've found to
- 6:13do this is through affirmations. And I also find that many people
- 6:18are doing affirmations ineffectively.
- 6:20They're usually way, way, way too long.
- 6:24Short ones are best. And a few years ago, one of the
- 6:28affirmations I was using, I just wanted to try it out, was
- 6:32everyone treats me like a queen. So I walked into the store that
- 6:38I had been shopping at for years and no one had ever said
- 6:41anything to me, talked to me, whatever, not that I care.
- 6:43And I walk into the store. I had been doing the
- 6:46affirmations. I don't remember how long, a
- 6:47week, two weeks. As soon as I walk in, a guy had
- 6:51his back to me. He was looking at something on
- 6:53the shelf. As I walked by.
- 6:54He turned around and said hi, hi.
- 6:57And I went, oh, hi. Next guy beside him, he turned
- 7:03and said hi. And by this point I'm like, what
- 7:06is going on? Why is everyone being so
- 7:08friendly in the store all of a sudden?
- 7:09And it's not like I was wearing anything special.
- 7:11I was wearing my usual outfits. And then I went around the
- 7:15corner and again, the third guy, hi, hello, whatever.
- 7:20I'm like, all right, what's up? This is not normal.
- 7:23And then I'm like, oh, right, Of course my affirmations, everyone
- 7:29treats me like a queen. So of course, if the queen walks
- 7:31by, you're going to want to say hi, right?
- 7:35So there you go. So you need to find the right
- 7:39affirmation for you, affirmations for you.
- 7:42And that depends on what your self concept is.
- 7:44So whatever you think about yourself, that's negative.
- 7:48What would be the opposite of that?
- 7:51That's your affirmation. So for example, if you think
- 7:54that no one wants to date you, you would turn that around to
- 7:58everyone wants to date me, I barely have time to keep up.
- 8:01Everyone wants to date me, I barely have time to keep up.
- 8:05And you can record your affirmations on my app,
- 8:08Silencio. And as I said, the link is
- 8:10underneath every single video and podcast, and the app will
- 8:14then loop them so you can play them over and over.
- 8:18And it adds music behind them so you can listen to them day and
- 8:21night. And I suggest you listen to them
- 8:24at night at a very low volume all night.
- 8:28Yes, you don't need to hear them, but your subconscious
- 8:32does. So that's why you want the low
- 8:34volume. All right, so now I want to hear
- 8:37from you. Have you tried affirmations?
- 8:39And if so, how did they turn out?
- 8:42And if you haven't tried them, are you curious to try them?
- 8:45Let me know. And if you would like my help to
