- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's. Adam here.
- 0:41And in this episode of The Hypnotist, you'll be listening
- 0:45to a hypnosis session created for a client that felt very,
- 0:50very comfortable in one to one situations.
- 0:54But one of their biggest goals was to be able to be free to
- 0:59express themselves in the way they wanted to.
- 1:03And that meant delivering their message to bigger audiences, but
- 1:09audiences of people that they didn't know.
- 1:12And in the past, that would lead to a feeling of overthinking, a
- 1:18bit of fear, feeling of being uncomfortable, of going blank.
- 1:23And they didn't want to feel that way.
- 1:25And that was impeding them being free to live their life in the
- 1:30way they wanted to. But they were fine on one to one
- 1:34kind of situations. So this hypnosis session takes
- 1:39this idea of anchoring this kind of state of feeling free and
- 1:44then looking at almost like a 2 pronged strategy.
- 1:48One is to take this feeling when they're already free and then
- 1:53record something around that so it gets in front of more people
- 1:56when they're already in that Free State.
- 1:59And then secondly, to feel empowered to do the difficult
- 2:03thing, to do the uncomfortable thing, trusting that the more
- 2:07they do it, the more free they're going to feel while
- 2:10they're on that journey. And I think both strategies are
- 2:15very good strategies. And it's one of these things
- 2:19that you always want to harness and utilize the resourceful
- 2:23states that you already have. And there was a a lady who wrote
- 2:28a book in the 1980s, Susan Jeffers called Field of Fear and
- 2:33Do it anyway. And I think there is a lot of
- 2:37good psychological logic in that because if you do it enough, you
- 2:42feel comfortable doing it and then it's no longer something
- 2:45that gives you fear, but actually what you don't want to
- 2:48do is to do something in such a terrified way that you just re
- 2:52traumatize yourself. So getting into a resourceful
- 2:55state is also helpful to get to that point where you feel more
- 3:01able to do the challenging things.
- 3:05And this hypnosis session does both.
- 3:07So if you have a dream or a desire to be able to express
- 3:12yourself, to be yourself in front of people that maybe
- 3:15you've never met, this session I think will be useful for you.
- 3:20Obviously, be aware that this particular client had an image,
- 3:24a vision of their future. Being on stages with big
- 3:27audiences, that might not be your goal.
- 3:30So if you like the idea of feeling more resourceful,
- 3:33feeling that you've got permission and and free to kind
- 3:36of pursue your ideal life, but some of the suggestions aren't
- 3:40quite right for you here, there will be a link in the show notes
- 3:43where you can schedule that free consultation call to explore
- 3:46working with me. For now though, find a quiet,
- 3:48comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:51Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:28you breathe in, breathe in a resourceful feeling of calm and
- 4:33relaxation. And as you exhale, just release
- 4:39all tension around your eyelids and feel that.
- 4:43Release that with your eyes closed, you're able to focus on
- 4:49the sound of my voice, breathing in a wonderful feeling of calm
- 4:56and relaxation, and exhaling any tension.
- 5:06As you breathe in, set the intention to breathe slightly
- 5:12deeper than the previous breath, and as you exhale, set the
- 5:23intention to slow down and elongate that breath so it seems
- 5:30to go on for longer. And notice the deeper you
- 5:37breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 5:44And scan your body for any clues of tension, perhaps around your
- 5:50forehead, your jaw, neck and shoulders.
- 5:57And as you breathe in, just imagine you're breathing in
- 6:01concentrated relaxation. And as you breathe in, then
- 6:08relaxation. Imagine it melting away any
- 6:14tension in the forehead, the jaw, the neck, or the shoulders.
- 6:22And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 6:35So breathe in and breathe down. As you exhale, just allow your
- 6:39shoulders to drop. Let your body relax even more.
- 6:53Feel yourself sinking deeper into a state of calm and
- 7:00peaceful relaxation. Just imagine a soothing wave of
- 7:08relaxation starting at the top of your head.
- 7:14Imagine it spreading or trickling down, softening your
- 7:17forehead, your jaw, your neck, and this wave of relaxation
- 7:27continues down your arms, all the way to the tips of your
- 7:33fingers. Feel that relaxation in your
- 7:37chest going down into your stomach, all the way down to the
- 7:43gut, releasing any anxiety. Feel it going all the way down,
- 7:52down into your legs, into your feet, deep down into the tips of
- 7:58your toes. And I want you to think of a
- 8:07memory. Think of a time when you felt
- 8:17completely at ease. Time when you felt free.
- 8:34Perhaps it was a time in a one to one conversation, maybe with
- 8:45someone you trust. But notice you felt free to be
- 8:55you. Nobody else feel that comfort.
- 9:08Notice how you were breathing back then.
- 9:17Remember where you were, how your posture was.
- 9:25Access that feeling of being completely free and at ease.
- 9:42Take a deep and breathe in. And as you breathe in, amplify
- 9:49that feeling. Right now, breathe in that slow,
- 9:51long, relaxing breath. Notice how good it feels to
- 9:56express yourself feeling as you feel that freedom to simply be.
- 10:02Feel a sense of release, releasing tension.
- 10:07Hold on to that. Releasing worries.
- 10:12That's it. Allow it to grow stronger.
- 10:15When you breathe in, breathe in. That feeling has a location,
- 10:21except what emotions do. And as you exhale around the
- 10:27heart, feel a release. The chest of the gut, a release
- 10:32of affectionism, acknowledging that there is a big difference
- 10:38between high standards and impossible standards and starts
- 10:43feeling like it's spreading. So as you breathe in and feeling
- 10:46to every cell of your body acceptance, you are feeling what
- 10:53you are doing the best you can. Sensation with the resources you
- 10:57have freedom and that is enough. As you breathe in I breathe out.
- 11:09Just notice like 1 tension around your forehead or able
- 11:14jaw. Just start to hold on to that.
- 11:17Fees loosen as you start to imagine that's it, a different
- 11:24version of you. Maybe scan your body for any
- 11:28clues or version of you. Then sometimes it's there in the
- 11:32neck and the shoulders in the very near future.
- 11:36Sometimes is using their and feel their freedom as a strong
- 11:42foundation in the arm or the leg to explore.
- 11:47They're too to be pronged. So as you breathe strategy
- 11:51forward wonderful feeling of relaxation, just allow to
- 11:55imagine to exclusion of you intention near future feel it
- 12:02melting away. Feel it easy with a level of
- 12:04self-awareness to know when you are stress and tension in that
- 12:09state of isn't the only thing that exists in the body.
- 12:12Freedom free to express yourself anxiety in a state of flow with
- 12:18the right words, location. But imagine in those wanting to
- 12:23want in the show stations or where stress is stored, that
- 12:29sometimes the gut may be by recording video, recording the
- 12:35audio. And I want you to feel that what
- 12:38if you are now hard in a perfect time?
- 12:41That sense of freedom to allow that anxiety, amplifying that
- 12:45freedom, even an echo of it don't tell you yet melt away.
- 12:53What if people that don't know you as your body relaxes your
- 12:59imagination wise? Something, a message to think
- 13:05that resonates with them for time from your childhood,
- 13:08something that enriches our lives, something that adds
- 13:13value, something that you consider a message they've never
- 13:16heard before. They see unhygienic and they see
- 13:19that from you. But I want you to go back to
- 13:22that at a time when you were at your comfort.
- 13:25English like you're going back in time, expressing yourself
- 13:30naturally and of as a child, and I want you to imagine putting
- 13:37yourself and I want you to see the in perspective of someone
- 13:40that doesn't know to imagine you're going back there.
- 13:45Maybe that's like you're on the phone able to see and hear or
- 13:49notice everything, but nobody knows you're there or see a
- 13:54conversation you're having. I want you you to see just one
- 13:57other person. Priorities are different
- 14:01standards. Imagine you're in their shoes,
- 14:03seeing you to see if there is any cleaning routine, free to
- 14:07express yourself. Maybe there were cleaning
- 14:09routines to clean dishes. No overthinking.
- 14:12Clean a car, perhaps no blanks. But these versions routine
- 14:16surfaces and floors because you're just doing something
- 14:20you've done a million times before to explore that old home.
- 14:25Notice I don't want you to get a sentence from that.
- 14:29Allow yourself. They're seeing you already get a
- 14:32sense impressing yourself what that yummy version of you would
- 14:38have made. And then imagine that same
- 14:41person becomes furious about frustration, resentment, a tiny
- 14:47bit of content they saw, feeling of disgust amplifying when you
- 14:51were already expressing yourself freely, maybe leads to a one to
- 14:56one interaction with them. And I want you to think of a
- 15:01cleaner you would know currently does work for you.
- 15:07And feel free to express the face in that situation, the
- 15:11name, the age, something that helps to just imagine.
- 15:16Think about their life differently.
- 15:18That cleaner that you now have going back to that differently
- 15:21dirty, messy, unhygienic home about what it means to create a
- 15:25life, giving them two wonderful life for heaven on earth.
- 15:30Biggest difference they could. What they focus on 1st and then
- 15:36imagine this second. What they do to make it strategy
- 15:40views, not just amplifying what you really feel comfortable
- 15:45doing. I want you to see a version of
- 15:49toilets or a kitchen, some relishes or a floor.
- 15:54The difficulty, the discomfort that if it's difficult to be
- 15:59done, it seems to be done a huge difference.
- 16:04I want to see that version environment, raising their hand
- 16:09and sharing their opinions. And if you come to the
- 16:12conclusion that requesting a dramatic more opportunities to
- 16:16speak would be made to a new audience, you know, but nodding
- 16:19your head, joining different and then imagine being already
- 16:26established an invisibility or collections of people cleaner
- 16:31and see yourself confidently introducing yourself.
- 16:35Difficult to see the level of inner heart letting everyone
- 16:39know because the cleanliness is so much higher already.
- 16:46Perhaps you can imagine yourself but the work ethic would be
- 16:49around a table where everyone talks about the same.
- 16:53Maybe 5 minutes or something would be the same but see
- 16:56yourself with an expression. This isn't evidence they're not
- 17:00doing participation, it's evidence that your version of
- 17:04you has already made the evaluation very clean.
- 17:08That if just one person connects, get a sense, then
- 17:12learns from you, then it's all worthwhile.
- 17:16You've learnt all the lessons from your past and see yourself
- 17:19with the evidence of that 5 or 10 minutes in the environment
- 17:23that you introduce an explanation.
- 17:25See yourself doing that in a state of flow to get a sense.
- 17:29Then all the quality child that naturally exists within you in a
- 17:36fleet in a one to one inch or twice.
- 17:39Doing that with a bigger audience when I have a home, it
- 17:44will never be like this. See the expression, think of the
- 17:48thought like that may have been planted in your mind all the way
- 17:51back then. When it's finished, people
- 17:55introduce themselves to you because what you said in the
- 17:58heart of your 10 minutes, intuition or unconscious
- 18:01resonated at some level has created a overreacting of
- 18:06curiosity. So they want to hear from you
- 18:09that anything rather than perfect could feel this.
- 18:15I want to imagine an eagling and not too distant future.
- 18:18See yourself and maybe it's 20 years, a small stage that has
- 18:23helped maintain high standards to people that you kind of had a
- 18:28cost and they know you. The cost is that you've been see
- 18:33then pressured. You are expressing yourself
- 18:37forced into freely cleanliness and you can tell that from your
- 18:42body language just because you wanted to your facial
- 18:45expressions just because you like living in a cleaning bar.
- 18:49Just as natural confu feels it. That energy would feel different
- 18:54as if you were let me know by not exactly engaged in a one to
- 18:58one conversation. I want you to think of a time
- 19:02where because someone sees or trying to express yourself
- 19:07freely into an action behaved in a compliment that made you not
- 19:13want to do it. When you can record the 10
- 19:15memorandum by nodding the hundreds, let me know by nodding
- 19:19your head. And I want you to feel that that
- 19:23emerges one year. Why in the future is more
- 19:28important than the thing that you intend you've applied for a
- 19:32high profile speaking engagement.
- 19:35This niggling feeling of anxiety is and see yourself like a
- 19:38someone else received a high standard on e-mail.
- 19:42But the true victory that you've been changing a high standard
- 19:46speaker because you want to at a high profile location, not
- 19:51because with a big order you have to 1000 attendees or more,
- 19:58not because you're forced to. Just because you like that
- 20:02living in a nice place, you're smiling, beaming, because to
- 20:07make a commitment to yourself, you get to amplify a commitment
- 20:12that what you do if that niggling feeling of anxiety
- 20:15bigger and more engages to control.
- 20:21You see yourself in the weeks and months force you preparing,
- 20:25but not even clean airing or checking out of defiance you
- 20:31will refuse things. This very thing you may end up
- 20:35doing as the freedom thing, but you do it on your terms when
- 20:38you're feeling free to do what you want, not when you're
- 20:42feeling anxious. Who you are and when you want to
- 20:46is the freedom I want you to think of.
- 20:49This shows the speaker. This way your unconscious tries
- 20:53to force you being free, the more defiant you will be.
- 21:00And the moment you feel calm, then maybe you do check.
- 21:05As the weeks and days get closer to the event, you feel calm.
- 21:08Maybe you do clean, feeling more excited, but you're doing more
- 21:11relaxed, more on your terms. And then imagine you, when
- 21:18you've got the outcomes that you desire, that version of you
- 21:22that's a wonderful juice of your video or satisfaction and pride
- 21:28in their shoes, in the audience, one of over 1000 people.
- 21:33And that pride wanting to hear even you have to say valuable
- 21:40because you did it out of choice rather than the angle of the
- 21:44stage you're looking at and see yourself confidently, your
- 21:49trigger come up on stage. Pride picking up a microphone
- 21:53will be the reward. Maybe there's a headset I want
- 21:59you to get us feeling captivated as you see yourself expressing
- 22:05to help exactly what you would want to freely just because
- 22:11they're authentically helps you to achieve your energy outcomes,
- 22:17not theirs. People are engaged.
- 22:20I want you to emerge your perhaps into every week or so,
- 22:24see your eyes like you're somewhere on you because you
- 22:28chose giving directions or feedback you wanted with no
- 22:32insecurity and no hesitation. 20 or 30 minute talk.
- 22:37See yourself smiling and doing it in the end, encouraging,
- 22:41supporting the chair, giving a standing ovation, perhaps
- 22:45following some kind of knowledge and in that time high stand that
- 22:49you've delivered freely. And if you could imagine that
- 22:54future version of you to imagine calmly after confidently giving
- 22:59directions of feedback, let me know about putting himself in a
- 23:02first person perspective. And I want you to go without
- 23:05feeling of freedoms into the future of being able to express
- 23:10yourself clearly, refusing to give in to that.
- 23:14Imagine every cell in your body is resonating with that feeling
- 23:17in your terms. And then imagine that rather
- 23:20than seeing the sub get an e-mail.
- 23:22A good standard to receive. An impossibly high standard on
- 23:26whatever device you normally check your visits 6 months from
- 23:30time and see a home that is clean, congratulate you on being
- 23:34a keynote speaker and a future of the home that you're proud of
- 23:38and feel more that excitement. The way you got that clean home
- 23:44is not by be succumbing to anxiety and insecurement to do
- 23:50is your trust on earth. You did it in an empowered.
- 23:54You feel free can't live your life in the way that you want
- 23:58impacting other lives. You have the clean house in the
- 24:00way that you want and the absence heaven of feeding
- 24:05anxiety by rewarding it. You don't have to do this.
- 24:09This future feels like a desirable future to do this.
- 24:13The absence of anxiety feel that wonderful feel.
- 24:15Maintaining is freedom hygienic. This is homely proud of.
- 24:21Let me know by nodding your head.
- 24:22You're free to turn down this invitation or to accept it, but
- 24:25feel free to accept it. Feel free to have lay the
- 24:30framework. Feel free to attend framework
- 24:33for your unconscious mind and feel free to deliver important
- 24:37words that very first times and that nickling anxiety tries to
- 24:42coerce to that audience of over 1000 people.
- 24:45See it for what it is. Your opportunities feels like
- 24:49the freest victory for 20 years and never.
- 24:54I don't want you to get us to lose it again once you've done
- 24:59one thing. So hold on to that thought.
- 25:00It sets a precedent. So we start to return to the
- 25:03here and now. Take a deep breath in through
- 25:05your nose and you've done your and out through your nose very
- 25:10first wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes connect fully
- 25:12into the hair talk on a stage as I now count it's to tend to
- 25:17awaken you, but you're starting to count 123 waking up 45678
- 25:28everything your eyes open your eyes outside of the comfort
- 25:31zone. It's wide awake, wide awake,
- 25:34wide awake, but a willingness to choose to do something
- 25:37uncomfortable because it's important and matters gives you
- 25:43the courage, gives you the confidence, gives you the
- 25:46ability to express yourself freely.
- 25:51Rather than waiting for the feeling, do the thing and be
- 25:55rewarded with the feeling. And then go forwards in time and
- 26:02imagine it is your 77th talk on a big stage with a big audience.
- 26:11Imagine receiving the e-mail and it has the significance of just
- 26:16blocking out time in your calendar.
- 26:20Your preparation is just tweaking something you've
- 26:23already delivered many times before that when you attend and
- 26:28walk out on that stage, there is a knowingness you will be fine
- 26:34in the same way that you know you will be fine when you have a
- 26:37one to one interaction. No different and feel those
- 26:43feelings in advance. But how you feel after you've
- 26:49done this many times, it's starting to feel how it would
- 26:53feel when you're doing it for the first time.
- 27:02I feel like the resources required are mapping across from
- 27:08what you feel comfortable. 1 to one is mapping across from 1:00
- 27:11to many. Looking for ways to amplify and
- 27:16leverage those moments when you feel free so other people, when
- 27:23all eyes are on you, see you expressing yourself freely and
- 27:31if you're unconscious, gets a sense that this would be a
- 27:34desirable free future. Let me know by nodding your
- 27:39head. It's time to return to the
- 27:45present, but take all of these wonderful feelings with you.
- 27:47A desire to amplify those moments of feeling free to a
- 27:54bigger audience, but also to give yourself a vote of
- 28:00confidence. To raise your hand when you've
- 28:03got nothing to say. Trusting that the words will
- 28:05come to ask, to speak at events even if you don't know what your
- 28:11topic will be. Trusting that your unconscious
- 28:15will give you inspiration. Every action you take that has a
- 28:22presupposition that things will be fine will make them fine.
- 28:31It's time to return to the here and now, taking those thoughts,
- 28:34feelings and emotions with you. So take a deep breath in through
- 28:37your nose and out through your nose.
- 28:44Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 28:47Connect fully into the here and now as I now count from 1:00 to
- 28:5210:00 to awaken you. Starting to count. 123 Waking up
- 28:59456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 29:03Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 29:09awake.
