- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: All right, welcome back to the built-to-grow podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: My host Tim Lions joined Instagram.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: Randy angst it.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, where's that little a plot thing.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, let's get right into it today.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Today episodes really comes down to a little story.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Got to tell us about first class mindset.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I just took a trip to Belize.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: First time out right, I didn't even know where Belize was.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like everybody cool.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to police and you know, it's not that far.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's not.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: So when I was booking my travel, I was talking to the guy that I'm an investor in that island with and I'm like, hey, man, like, is this like a eight hour and a hour a day?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what are we looking at?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's like five hours.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_02]: You get there, go to Dallas, jump on another plane and you're in police.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: And for us, I had to take another, like, puddle jumper to a little city called Dan Griga and then a van and then a boat over to the island.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: So there was like a whole adventure.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's fun.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: When I travel and you know this rainy, whenever we travel together, I force first class.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: I have to fly in the first class seats for a lot of reasons.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: I decided probably, gosh, it feels like seven years ago at this point that I wasn't going to fly coach anymore, just a personal preference.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: and there's a lot of things that go into why I decided not to fly coach anymore if I can like listen I've booked the first class ticket then had been bumped to another flight and then I'm sitting in the like the last row then it reminds me even more why the hell I'm would want to sit in first class
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I remember that day it happened.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: It was our trip to Australia.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I was so miserable on that flight in the back because we were trying, you know, we didn't have a ton of money.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: We're just trying to save.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: We're flying out there for for a client content.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: You think way years ago.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, about seven years at this point.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember thinking when I was booking the travel to Australia, that the cost was exponential.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, you know, maybe two thousand for the coach and like eight thousand for the front, you know, for the first class.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: So a difference of six grants, like three times a cost, right?
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: Four times.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so I remember sitting, booking my flight and saying, I wouldn't pay that.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: And then when I got on the flight, I would pay ten thousand because it was so miserable here.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Raising that funny how it works.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: So anyways, I'm flying, you know, two beliefs.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and next to me, I started striking up a car.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, the guy struck it up with me.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, he's a bulliesian national and he was flying back from talking at an event in New York City and we're getting a talk in and he ended up being, uh, in the government for, uh, he was the register of hotels.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: And that's like one of like the last steps to opening a hotel.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: You have to get full clearance and
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all through that department.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you know what, man?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: We've got an island in Belize where we're heading and we are developing a resort on there and we're actually probably going to need you at this point.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so he gave me his contact information and you know, everything over there's done in what's happened.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: So we were kind of talking on what's happened.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: He ended up coming through for us because we were we had a meeting when I came back and I'm like, hey, you know what, I need to need a little help because we're stuck on something and he jumped on a zoom and
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: with all the investors and we were we're knocking it out right there on the spot because of proximity.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: There you go boom you're in the right room.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: And in the craziest story about that whole trip was on the flight back.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: I flew into Miami and then Miami Phoenix is about four and a half hour flight.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sitting in first class.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in I think the last row first class.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on the aisle.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: And this guy comes walking down and I see he's got a WrestleMania tag on his back.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: My cool WrestleMania man.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Cool.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, hey, can I sit in the aisle?
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, no, you can't.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: That's the spicy.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: Because I want to sit in the aisle.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, man, well, I figured I'd ask.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be up about twenty times pissing.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I should figure I give you the courtesy.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: I said, well, you know, if he gets too tough, we'll switch to a flight, but I'll like this where I'm sitting.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: So he was like, cool.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: And then later on the conversations, okay, you have your resume and you have your been a WrestleMania.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know, I've never been.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, when I was a kid, that was something I was looking up to.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, as I get older, you kind of grow out of it or whatever.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, you should do it.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, have you ever been a WrestleMania?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, two or three times.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, oh, cool, man.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we kind of he alluded to like, yeah, I wrestled in it.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: And like, wait, did you say you wrestled in wrestling here?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: You've been to wrestling many.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, oh, no, I'm a wrestler for WWE.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh, sweet, man.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Totally cool.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I don't know who you are.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, he's not big at all.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taller and bigger than this guy.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: And so he's like, yeah, I mean, Finn Baylor is my name.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, cool.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let me look you up.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Finn Baylor, four point six million, I go, congratulations, Paul Dunn.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well done.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: And we ended up getting to know each other pretty well.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: It was probably one of the most fascinating conversations.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: We were talking about politics and his hometown of Ireland in inflation and aliens and who built the pyramids and what's behind the anarch wall and all this stuff, man.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: And we're both zoomed in and so anyways, we came buddies, but the point of the message is this.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: I made a post about sitting in first class as I was sitting on that flight before I had even met.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I put the tickets of my thing and I said the reason I fly first class is a mindset.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's a reason to hold myself to a standard.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is where I belong in life.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not it's
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: at the nice restaurant or not waiting in line at a bar or we're getting the Bentley for the Uber instead of the Uber X, or first class.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: Granted, I'm not at the level of private or even owning a jet find, maybe that's the next level.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: But for me, it's like first classes is the easiest thing I can say.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: This is the standard.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I posted about it on Facebook, and it was amazing because the first three days of it was all friends and family.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, I really liked that mindset.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to try that too.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's a good way to look at it.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know what?
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: I should really do that as well.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: And then Facebook decided to send it out to the world, the algorithm.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: and it was hate or after hate or after hell.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: You want attention or yeah, it wouldn't be nice.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: And all this things that would tell me that these people would never understand.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: It would never understand.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the same folks that would look at the people in first class with disgust.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: The judge.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: These rich people up here, high in the hog, all this stuff.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, no, that's not, in fact, it's the opposite.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: It, it helps me work harder.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: It helps me.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: It helps me show up for this podcast every single week for five years.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: It helps me show up for Zach and for you and for my family because it's the standard.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: If I allow the force of average, which is the haters of all these people to just take my mindset away, if like, hey, working hard isn't worth it and you need to just be average like everybody else or having nice things is a bad thing.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: If I would listen to that, I wouldn't work as hard.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's the hands and the have not type of thing, right?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: There's that line in the sand and there's such a big portion of society that looks at those that create a standard choose a different path.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: You know, have reached us a level of success or so forth that they feel that because they have done that, that they can't themselves or that there is something wrong with that belief in that mindset.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: I love the fact of that standard.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, because it carries over in so many different things in life.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's when you hit set that expectation for yourself like you said that is the motivator to go do all of those things, you know, to put the work in to work the late hours to because you are unwilling to go back to
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: below that threshold that you set for yourself.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: And why anyone would see that as an issue blows my mind and I threat to themselves.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: Because what does it have to exactly?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: So they see my post and they just want to hate all over it because it's a reflection of themselves, right?
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: Just because they don't believe in it, limited belief.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: I want everybody to win and you know what's really cool is an iron circle.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's a mastermind where we've kind of like set this precedence of everybody's here to win.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: Does because this person's winning or doing better doesn't mean you're doing worse.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard of other masterminds because of the of dire circle folks tell me this the hate that that the head of the mastermind or the coaching group doesn't want or allow people in the group to do better than them because they also on a gym or whatever and I'm like I want
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think I want the iron struggle to do better than me, okay?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: Why is that?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think the value of a coach isn't the things that the coach has, the lambs, whatever, the Rolex.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's how well are the students doing.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: How well are the students doing?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: Are the students being very successful, going on vacations and buying things for their family and doing all the things, then we're doing our job.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's not what we do.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's a real living thing.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: Who's really interesting because you would look at?
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: There's coaching groups in every industry.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Call it, call it real estate, call it anything.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: And it's usually the, the mind, it's usually the coach or guru that's got all the wealth, a pyramid scheme.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: No, most of them.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's like the guy at the top of the pyramid is the one making the most money, but in our situation.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: No, I want the gym owners in our group in our coaching group in our springboard, whether it's our iron circle members, or do you better?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: better financially, better other businesses.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, there's several that are already right now.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's amazing.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think it should be that way.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_02]: And it's really weird that somebody else's success doesn't actually reflect more positive on us in this situation, because we're directly helping or whatever in the group.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just wild.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: So my daughter was looking at the comments on that post last night and she goes, oh, wow, look at this guy.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this guy.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: He stopped reading them.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Cool thing is, I got a ton of new followers, tons of shares, license, comments, but like what is that?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's nothing.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: But it just showed me very, very clearly what society thinks of.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: And it could have been a picture of a Rolex.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been a picture of a new truck.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been a picture of a new boat.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: And you're going to get haters.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get your friends and family that support.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them, some of them.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to get everybody else.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: And it's so interesting that that's the way the society looks at things because it's, you know, the old thing that we used to talk about when you're, when you're trying to eat healthy and you're trying to do the right thing for yourself and work out every day.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: And you go to a restaurant where there's junk food, like some bar.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just say it's a bar.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're there to watch the jet's game or whatever, right?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: And in everybody's order and pizza, mozzarella sticks, beer, you know, and you're like, man, I can't eat that because not only don't do I not want to, I don't enjoy.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to feel like crap.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Let me order a soda water and let me get that chicken on a plate some mustard.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: What are you doing, Tim?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what is that, man?
- 12:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, get the beer, mate.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so, like, what is what I eat?
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Have any effect on how you operate?
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's just really, really interesting.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: And so, crabs in the bucket, mentality, that the bottom line is this.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm a bottom line guy.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Ten four bottom line, nut shell guy.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Get in a nut shell.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: People, even though closest to around you, don't want you to win.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: So true.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why a group like the Iron Circle is so powerful because that's all we want you to do.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: People around you, your friends, your family, maybe not your parents.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: You would hope.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: But who knows?
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: The dynamics out there.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's a million dynamics.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want you to be successful.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: And the only reason they don't want you to be successful is because it makes them have to look at themselves and ask themselves, why can't I or why didn't I do that?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: And they have to take ownership for not taking the action that you did to become successful.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just so, and when you realize that, everything else makes sense.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, then this ton of it, man.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you look, you said, it cares over into all of society.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the average, you know, people look, look, look, look at, I mean, just use fitness or personal health.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know, walk, walk down the street, go to Walmart, the average, like those that make a choice.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_03]: are the outliers.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: They're the ones that society deems as different as weird as obsessed as well.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: Perfect.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's fine.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: Label me all you want.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm going to be the one over here enjoying the hell out of my life.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_03]: And to your point, it doesn't affect you.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: The dollar hits my bank account.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't come out of yours, and it's just right.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_03]: Or the fitness, the physique side.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, it's really interesting that
- 14:09[SPEAKER_03]: so much of the population looks at that as a negative and a bad thing instead of pulling from that instead of using that to motivate them and be that internal motivation, intrinsic motivation, you know, pull from those.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: And that's a part back to the group, right?
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: When we celebrate success in the area in circle, it's to show the group and everybody else what's possible.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's not, you know, pull with pull them with us.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like we're creating a line and stepping on them in order to get ahead, right?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: We've got the closest gyms, you know, to us, our competitors of yours.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: But none of that matters.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's the standard you set for yourself.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's the work that you're willing to do to maintain that.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to dictate what the life you live looks like.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, totally.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Totally.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, this whole first class thing, you know, I decided this on that Australia dream seven eight years ago.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's a Steve Harvey clip from one of his talk shows or maybe he was doing a keynote or something that that talks about this one thing in Nick.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: I was just wondering, is there any way to cut that into this episode?
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like if we were to play it like right now?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: If we can do that, I'd love to play that little clip right now because this puts it all in perspective.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Steve Harvey is talking about if you can at least once your life buy the first class again next time you buy airplane ticket just ask for an upgrade pay a little extra money fly first class what it does is it conditions your line once you get in first class and you see how wide the seats on
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you find out why they shut that curtain.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: They shut that curtain because they can't let you see what's going on over there.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: They pass it out hot nuts.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody get a wash cloth.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: They got them in you.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: You get to decide what you want.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: All the drinks are free.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Wash your sitting first class one time.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: The next time you get on a plane, it's very difficult.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: to walk past him seats.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then your mind starts thinking of ways to get back to first class.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, guys, hopefully you enjoyed that clip.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: That Nick cut in on Steve Harvey, but honestly, it really makes a ton of sense.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like once you do it once, it's really hard to walk past those first class seats and sit down and coach again because how nice it was.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_03]: He went to hit your lips, right?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: You've tasted success.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: You're drinking out of a real glass up there.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_03]: You're, you know, they give you a fork and a knife and a meal.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I can't get with a little button on it.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: So the button all you can just pop it on your.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: You got little salt and pepper shakers with it.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, anyways, it just puts things in perspective.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a couple of folks in the iron circle that I know have adopted this mindset.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: and they've told me personally that it's really changed everything for them.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's a true mindset thing.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's not scarcity.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's abundance.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's eye-deserve the better things in life.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's first class the best.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, like owning your own jet for forty-eight million dollars.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, four hundred million dollars a golf stream or something.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's the best.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: Your George Jones knew when the thing was seventy million or something?
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's probably seven hundred million.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: I imagine these golf streams, six fifties, seven hundred.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be some fifties, thank you.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's, it's, it's different ball games.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's got two of them.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just a delivery of this one.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no big deal.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's got two of them.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: So like, yeah, sure, I'm just saying where you're at today, you know, maybe it's going to, you know, Ruth Chris or Maastros or whatever, there was a point in time when we had time, I was taking the family to Maastros on Wednesday nights.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like this middle of the week and I was just like, you know, it's going to Maastros.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: We had like three or four weeks in a row.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: And what I was trying to do is I was trying to establish what is normal for Alexander.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: I was trying to establish what's normal.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was letting her talk to the waiters and waitresses, the people next to us and the booth next to us.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: They're just families like us and it's just like just trying to make something that is nicer, normal.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I thought about it.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: you know, after doing it for a long time, too.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: But I did with my breakfast.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: Sunday, Saturday, Sunday, you always go off a branch with some friends.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_03]: And to me, I would same exact thing.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'd have steak and eggs every single time.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: No mind, you'll mean it.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's a breakfast joint, right?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: So like, it's probably, I mean, over the years, it's gone up obviously, but twenty, like, to a twenty five dollars, you know, steak and egg breakfast.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's not, that's not wild.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's not going to match those for dinner.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_03]: right, but every single week, this is the standard that I've had friends like, you know, all of this, why are you doing the same thing?
- 18:55[SPEAKER_03]: Because this is what I want.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: This is like, if I know that I could do this every single weekend, everything else is where it needs to be.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: What are you working hard so far?
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: The point.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: And there's people that think the exact opposite of us, right?
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I know of many of them.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: And they will never.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: And the wildest imagination
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: spend the money on a state dinner that they can make it home for a third of the cost.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: They can go to Costco, get that same cut of meat, whatever, do it themselves.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's not about that.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's about setting the standard of what's normal and it's okay to do.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: And because money is infinite, you can always make more money.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: So holding onto it and sticking it in a bank account and not enjoying life,
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's your, that's your progative, but that's not mine.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's not mine.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: Can't take it with you.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the kicker.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: We don't agree.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't agree that that's the way you should live.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't care what you do is no effect on me.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: But the opposite.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_03]: You're on their post and talking garbage.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's the opposite for everybody else.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's how you decide to spend your money in the things that you want to do.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's not how they believe.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: And so they got to knock you down for work.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, what do you mean?
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care what you do.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: So anyways, we're ranting a little bit.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: The point of the message is this.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: Set the standard.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: What do you deserve?
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: Where do you belong in life?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: Wherever that is.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: If that's in first class, then let's stay in first class.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to work harder because of it.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: What do you believe is your worth?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: What is your thermostat?
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: I've got this whole thing on my talk about a thermostat.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: We could talk about it another time.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: whatever your thermostat is set to if you get above that your thermostat's gonna bring it back down and That's a bad thing sure if it's turned down too much right like if it's like well, I don't deserve limiting belief.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't deserve to be You know in the front row at the concert.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't but deserve and that's another thing we do You know right in damn front row we'll go right on the stage if we can typically won't go to a show unless it's like first row.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's really weird.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's um
- 21:07[SPEAKER_03]: But again, to standard you said, right?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: You've experienced, it's an experience, too.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the thing.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: Once you've experienced it, you've felt that you've lived through that.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: Everything else just, it's very difficult to sit in the back anymore.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: So anyways, hopefully this helps you guys.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's really a mindset thing.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: And once you get there, it all makes sense.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: So listen to the Steve Harvey, a little thing, but maybe that will help you do it one day.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then hopefully not everybody does it so then I can't get a see, because I've booked my stuff too late.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so hopefully that helps you guys, and until next time, keep changing lives, we'll see you on the next show.
