- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning, podcast listeners. It's Cindy here again with another just for today. Today, we are going to think about there's a truth that says we overestimate what we can do in one year and we underestimate what we can do in five years. This is just a problem. So we think we can get so much done in one year. And if you ever want to see proof of that, think about New Year's resolutions. And the problem is not that we think we can do so much in one year. The bigger problem becomes is we do not realize how much we can do in five years. We can do so much in five years. I mean, we could be completely new people. Our entire financial situation can change. The depth of our spiritual life and our relationship with Jesus can be completely transformed in five years. We could live somewhere new. We could have more children. Our children could leave the house already and be gone. So much can change in five years. But we get so hung up on one year that we stop shooting and aiming for what we can do in five. So just for today, we're gonna think about some of our goals and we're gonna put a more realistic timeframe. Is that goal you have really realistic to do in six or twelve months? Or is that really a two or three year goal? Or let's get crazy. If you could be something completely different. In five years, what would it be? What would you change? What could be drastically different? It could be a relationship, it could be your finances, it could be your faith. What? And what does that look like? And I had one of my great real estate coaches, the Mike Ferry organization. Mike Ferry used to say, if you were living the life of your dreams and it took you five years to get there, would that be okay? And we'd all sit in that room and be like, yeah. But here's the thing, you can. You can have all of that in five years, but you got to start working on it today and you can't give up. But really, like you can do anything in five years. And there's not as much you can do in a year that you think you can. So today, think about that today. We overestimate what we can do in one year, and we underestimate what we can do in five. Start making some five year goals, guys. And I will talk to you tomorrow.
