- 0:31Speaker 3: up together. Let's go deep, let.

- 0:50Speaker 1: It really supports our podcast and it means you don't
- 0:53Speaker 1: miss any of our future episodes.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yeah we don't want that, no way.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Let's get straight into our share of the week.
- 1:01Speaker 3: What did you?
- 1:01Speaker 1: I know you've got quite a few up.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I don't know where to start today.
- 1:05Speaker 1: She's like this and this and this.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I know, bloody TikTok.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It gets me all the time.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I think you're going to share my favorite one first,
- 1:15Speaker 3: the false Scara, because I've had a few people messaging
- 1:18Speaker 3: me asking what have you done with your lashes? What
- 1:20Speaker 3: mascara are you wearing? And the reason I really like
- 1:23Speaker 3: it is because it looks so natural that you do.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Have really good lashes, but these look just even better.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And you just don't have to do them, and because
- 1:31Speaker 3: mine is so light and I can't have die on
- 1:34Speaker 3: my eyelashes. It's just so easy, guys. So they're called
- 1:38Speaker 3: false scara. The brand that I use is kiss and
- 1:41Speaker 3: you can get it at Priceline. They're basically like little
- 1:44Speaker 3: false slashes that you put underneath your eyelash instead of
- 1:47Speaker 3: on top. And I was a little bit like, oh,
- 1:50Speaker 3: how am I going to go doing this because I'm
- 1:51Speaker 3: like ashy were chatting about it, and I was like,
- 1:53Speaker 3: I don't wear fake lashes.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Can't put them on myself either, No.
- 1:56Speaker 3: But it was really nice and easy. It almost magnetized it.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So you put the bond down and it just like goes.
- 2:00Speaker 3: You look like straight in on it.
- 2:01Speaker 1: What if you put it on the wrong spot, you
- 2:03Speaker 1: just peel.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It off and you gotta seal that you put on
- 2:06Speaker 3: afterwards so you can get them in the right place first.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Genius.
- 2:09Speaker 3: But it's so good. It lasts like seven to ten.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Days, and then what happens. They just fall off with you.
- 2:13Speaker 3: You've got a remover, so you put the remover stuff
- 2:16Speaker 3: on and just peel them off and then you put
- 2:17Speaker 3: a new set on. So yeah, you've got to be
- 2:20Speaker 3: a little bit careful. Like when I'm in the shower,
- 2:22Speaker 3: I'll just kind of wash my face like around them
- 2:24Speaker 3: all like rub my hands over it. But just so
- 2:27Speaker 3: nice and convenient, so easy, and I feel like they
- 2:30Speaker 3: look really nice and effective.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So natural. Love, Yeah, we love.
- 2:34Speaker 3: What's your Share of the Week?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Mine is a TV show or Cold Presumed Innocence. The
- 2:40Speaker 1: episodes are coming out weekly, which is really annoying because
- 2:42Speaker 1: you just want to, like binge watch a ton of them.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's on Apple TV. But it's such a good series.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's a crime one where a lawyer is having an
- 2:50Speaker 1: affair and then he gets accused of the woman's murder.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Oh okay, and just the twists and turns, relationship dynamics.
- 2:58Speaker 1: It's really like edge of your seat. Every single epis
- 3:01Speaker 1: you see. I really really enjoy it. So I'm still
- 3:03Speaker 1: like going through it because it comes out each week,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but highly recommend it. Oh that's good. It's on Apple
- 3:07Speaker 1: on Apple Okay, alrighty, well, let's get into the episode today.
- 3:11Speaker 1: We just thought we'd do a massive catch up. There's
- 3:13Speaker 1: so many like little bits and pieces that we speak
- 3:15Speaker 1: about in other episodes, but we thought we'd do one
- 3:17Speaker 1: big catch up of everything that's been going on. Everything
- 3:19Speaker 1: we're feeling, the big changes that's been happening. You're feeling
- 3:22Speaker 1: like you've had some massive shifts in your internal world.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Do you want to start?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Really, I'm feeling really good. Yeah, really high vibe, I
- 3:32Speaker 3: said to Ashley on the way up here. I just
- 3:33Speaker 3: feel like I'm really in this transitional stage right now
- 3:37Speaker 3: where I feel like when I first had Miller, I've
- 3:40Speaker 3: was kind of like almost huddled away. I was in
- 3:42Speaker 3: my real mum zone. And lately, you know, I guess
- 3:45Speaker 3: it's tapping into that feminine energy and doing that work
- 3:47Speaker 3: as well. But I'm really just like wanting to find
- 3:50Speaker 3: my sisterhood more and like surround myself with more like
- 3:53Speaker 3: minded women. I literally jumped on my stories this morning
- 3:55Speaker 3: and I was like, anyone who's local and around my
- 3:57Speaker 3: area wants to catch up and go for like a
- 3:59Speaker 3: big walk or you know, come to a dance class,
- 4:02Speaker 3: just all be able to jump in there and say
- 4:04Speaker 3: like what we're up to, what we doing and if
- 4:05Speaker 3: we can make it, we can make it, we can't,
- 4:06Speaker 3: we can't. There's no stress, nice and easy, but you know,
- 4:09Speaker 3: I'm feeling like I'm really just in like just vibing
- 4:12Speaker 3: being around amazing women.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and I feel like, yeah, this whole year, you've
- 4:16Speaker 1: really stepped outside your comfort zone and stretch your capacity
- 4:18Speaker 1: to be able to do more and be away from
- 4:21Speaker 1: your bubble, which is really nice. I have.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I definitely feel like I have. Yeah, definitely like traveled
- 4:26Speaker 3: a little bit more. Even if it's just like you know,
- 4:28Speaker 3: night Stacey and night stays there. I feel like I
- 4:30Speaker 3: never ever really did that, and even just like doing
- 4:33Speaker 3: that this morning, like that's outside of my comfort zone.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Like it is putting yourself out.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That's what I've got.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And I were talking about friendships on the way up here,
- 4:39Speaker 3: and you know how she met her friend at the
- 4:41Speaker 3: gym and she like kept walking past her and like, oh,
- 4:43Speaker 3: like do I say hello? Do I not? Like, you know,
- 4:45Speaker 3: do I tell her like let's hang out? But it's
- 4:47Speaker 3: that first step, it is it's nerve wracking.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I remember walking past my Girlfriendsian, and I was like, oh,
- 4:53Speaker 1: just go say hello, Like what have you got to lose? Like,
- 4:55Speaker 1: we obviously feel pulled towards each other because we keep
- 4:57Speaker 1: bumping into each other, and now we're so close. It's
- 4:59Speaker 1: like we've known each other for years. We feel so
- 5:01Speaker 1: safe with each other. Our conversations are just we can
- 5:04Speaker 1: go really deep, but we're also very playful with each other.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's just so nice, such a nice relationshipful. Yeah, I
- 5:10Speaker 1: can't wait to like you or meet her, but you do.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You have to put yourself out there. I could have
- 5:14Speaker 1: walked straight past her. Again, I was like, no, be brave,
- 5:16Speaker 1: just go and say hi.
- 5:17Speaker 3: And that's the easy, comfortable thing to do, is to
- 5:20Speaker 3: just like keep walking past.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yep. Yeah, you did a whole episode ages ago on
- 5:23Speaker 1: making like female friendships, and you really do have to
- 5:26Speaker 1: put yourself out there. They're not just going to fall
- 5:28Speaker 1: in your lap or rock up to your house. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: mean I did to you. But you have to be
- 5:34Speaker 1: opened both ways.
- 5:35Speaker 3: You have to be open to like put it out
- 5:37Speaker 3: there and then open to be like, yeah, come on over,
- 5:39Speaker 3: what do you want to do. Let's catch up, let's
- 5:40Speaker 3: set a date.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And I also be open to like, you might not
- 5:43Speaker 1: connect or might not vibe, and that's okay. And I
- 5:44Speaker 1: said that to Kiara too. I said, I've got a
- 5:46Speaker 1: bit protected when you put that grip. I was like,
- 5:48Speaker 1: hope you don't get someone that I don't know, just
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's mean to you, or like just the line and
- 5:52Speaker 1: you feel bad for them or I don't know. Yeah,
- 5:55Speaker 1: but I feel like when you're in a good vibration,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you attract.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Definitely more people too. Yeah, And I said to Ash
- 6:00Speaker 3: you too, because you know a lot of it's like, hey,
- 6:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna go to Monday dance class. If you want
- 6:03Speaker 3: to come, you can come. Just meet up, hold each
- 6:05Speaker 3: other accountable.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You know, it's nice to have company.
- 6:08Speaker 3: What have you got going on? Back?
- 6:09Speaker 1: So obviously not obviously might not all catch up with
- 6:12Speaker 1: my socials, but my surgery got canceled. So you could
- 6:15Speaker 1: have listened to an episode where I was like, I'm
- 6:16Speaker 1: going into surgery this week. I went to hospital and
- 6:20Speaker 1: really mentally prepared give myself up, like I was counting
- 6:25Speaker 1: down the months, the weeks, the days, and then the hours.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I had to go into hospital the night, all the
- 6:29Speaker 1: afternoon before at one o'clock, I had to fast from
- 6:32Speaker 1: six o'clock, had to be loaded up on blood thinners
- 6:34Speaker 1: and aspirin, and I was meant to be first in surgery,
- 6:38Speaker 1: so I'd get wheeled down around seven o'clock in the morning.
- 6:40Speaker 1: So they said, if your family wants to come and
- 6:41Speaker 1: say like, why do you before you go in, get
- 6:44Speaker 1: them to come at six thirty. So Stephen Taje came,
- 6:46Speaker 1: got to eight o'clock, got to nine o'clock and I'm like, oh,
- 6:49Speaker 1: there must have just been a delay or an emergency
- 6:51Speaker 1: come in or whatever. Got to ten o'clock and taj
- 6:54Speaker 1: had an even breakfast at this point, so he's like,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm starving. I feel so sick, and Steve's like, shit,
- 6:58Speaker 1: like do I go or what? I was like, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 1: take him to goat Brecky and hopefully I've either gone
- 7:03Speaker 1: through or when you know, if you come back. Haven't.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Got to two o'clock in the afternoon and a doctor
- 7:08Speaker 1: comes through and he's like, I'm so sorry, like there's
- 7:10Speaker 1: no ICU beds and because after brain surgery you have
- 7:13Speaker 1: to be an ic you for twenty four hours. And
- 7:15Speaker 1: at first I was kind of crazy. I was like, oh,
- 7:17Speaker 1: no worries do I just like stay another night and
- 7:18Speaker 1: go in tomorrow. He's like, no, your surgery is canceled,
- 7:21Speaker 1: which means we don't have a further date. I'm like, oh,
- 7:25Speaker 1: so I've just fasted for over twenty four hours now
- 7:29Speaker 1: and had this needle in my arm all night, slept terribly.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And then the poor lady next to me, we were
- 7:34Speaker 1: sharing a room. She was from northern New South Wales,
- 7:37Speaker 1: so she had like driven all the way up here.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Family booked accommodation so they'd come like visit her, taking
- 7:41Speaker 1: time off work. She'd pay someone to look after her dog,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and like, we had no answers to when our surgery
- 7:46Speaker 1: will be. So she was so mad and so frustrated.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I was too, But I like, obviously the doctors they're
- 7:52Speaker 1: just some messengers. They can't control it. And this is
- 7:54Speaker 1: the thing. It's ic you Like, there's car accidents, they
- 7:57Speaker 1: were stabbing, drug overdoses. Like people need the beds, they
- 7:59Speaker 1: need the beds. There just isn't enough beds in public hospitals.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I had quite a few people actually swipe up to
- 8:05Speaker 1: being like, oh my god, I'm so shocked you're going
- 8:06Speaker 1: through the public system. I think people think like if
- 8:08Speaker 1: you have money that you would never use a public system.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And I do have private health insurance and I will
- 8:13Speaker 1: be covered to a certain degree if I decided to
- 8:15Speaker 1: go private. But when I first went to the doctor,
- 8:17Speaker 1: he sent me to golcros Union Hospital because it has
- 8:19Speaker 1: the best neurology team and the surgeon that I've got.
- 8:22Speaker 1: She's the head of the neurology team. Like, she's the
- 8:24Speaker 1: best of the best. So I don't want to go private.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't want to have to go find a new surgeon.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Yeah, this lady, I feel comfortable.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I feel comfortable. I've sat down with her, Steve's met her.
- 8:32Speaker 1: She answered a million questions, she wrote out all these
- 8:35Speaker 1: like drew all these diagrams for me, she showed me
- 8:38Speaker 1: pictures on the internet, and like really explained everything really thoroughly.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I just feel so safe with her. Yeah, but the
- 8:44Speaker 1: issue is with private, I would go in and it
- 8:46Speaker 1: wouldn't be canceled, yes, whereas public it's very highly likely
- 8:49Speaker 1: it'll be canceled.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Again, did you know that before going in? I was
- 8:52Speaker 3: gonna say, I feel like it was just so unexpected,
- 8:54Speaker 3: Like when you spoke to me about it, I didn't
- 8:56Speaker 3: know if you knew that there was a chance of
- 8:58Speaker 3: that even happening.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Someone had told me, but I honestly thought, in my
- 9:01Speaker 1: guy it would be delayed. So I was prepping myself
- 9:03Speaker 1: not to eat all day or not to go in
- 9:05Speaker 1: surgery that day, but be the next day all the
- 9:07Speaker 1: day after. Yeah, So I think I mentally prepared for that.
- 9:10Speaker 1: But when he said you're canceled and we don't have
- 9:12Speaker 1: a further date, I was like, what do I do?
- 9:16Speaker 1: And to be honest, it was a bit of a
- 9:18Speaker 1: mission to get in contact with someone after that, Like,
- 9:20Speaker 1: no one calls you. I called five times that got
- 9:22Speaker 1: hung up on. They put me through to different departments,
- 9:24Speaker 1: no one could give me answers. I was really frustrated.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And then they send you a text message with the
- 9:30Speaker 1: date and then I called and just wanted to chat
- 9:32Speaker 1: about it more. I could go in again, and this
- 9:34Speaker 1: could happen again if a massive car accident happens and
- 9:36Speaker 1: six people need to ICU bed and then there's three
- 9:39Speaker 1: drug overdoses that come in, like you just don't know.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I honestly felt like I was very mentally prepared for surgery.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I was not mentally prepared to have to go through
- 9:47Speaker 1: the mental preparation again. Yeah, so after that, I kind
- 9:51Speaker 1: of went in a downward spiral. I was not good
- 9:54Speaker 1: for a good couple of days. I felt really angry,
- 9:57Speaker 1: really frustrated. I was just like antsy, like I just
- 10:00Speaker 1: felt like in limbo.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Because you didn't have any data anything.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so I got a date. A switch flicked and
- 10:06Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, I've got my date, which is great,
- 10:09Speaker 1: but I also have a choice whether I keep being
- 10:12Speaker 1: in this funk and like feeling angry and annoyed, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: also anyone listening to you feel it's always a negative
- 10:18Speaker 1: nancy that comes at me. I know this is no
- 10:20Speaker 1: one's fault. Whoever needs the beds needs the bed. This
- 10:22Speaker 1: isn't to do with anyone else. Like I get the
- 10:24Speaker 1: hospital was doing the absolute best that they can. But
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm still a human. I'm not a robot that doesn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: feel anything. And I had to have that conversation with
- 10:30Speaker 1: a couple of women that were like, oh, you're so ungrateful,
- 10:32Speaker 1: like obviously someone else needs the bed more than you.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, for sure, but I'm still allowed to
- 10:36Speaker 1: be frustrated.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So then I got my date and I was like, Okay,
- 10:40Speaker 1: had a little internal conversation with myself. It was like,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you've got two choices. You can go back to being
- 10:44Speaker 1: a victim and like feeling angry and annoyed and like frustrated,
- 10:48Speaker 1: or live your life, deal with surgery when it comes.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Just keep on living, make every day amazing, find joining
- 10:53Speaker 1: the moments, and just live your life as is. Because
- 10:57Speaker 1: imagic he's got canceled five times and I stayed in
- 10:59Speaker 1: that funk the whole time. That'd be six months of
- 11:02Speaker 1: my life just feeling shit. I was like, I refuse
- 11:04Speaker 1: to do that again. My pity party, had a couple
- 11:06Speaker 1: of days of feling shit, and once I decided that,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I felt so good ever since, Oh that's so good.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I definitely didn't realize how much it affects my sleep though.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I was talking to Levi about it, and he was like,
- 11:15Speaker 1: if you've got something that's going on in your world
- 11:17Speaker 1: that's quite big. When you try to go to sleep
- 11:20Speaker 1: a night, it's like your nervous system's like, ha ha,
- 11:22Speaker 1: how do I'm here? Like, don't relax because you've got
- 11:26Speaker 1: this to worry about, Like this is a threat, this
- 11:27Speaker 1: is scary, this is not safe. So it's in the
- 11:30Speaker 1: back of my mind all the time, and my sleep's
- 11:32Speaker 1: been broken for months, so I'm consistently exhausted yesterday. I
- 11:37Speaker 1: do this often now. I pull over my car after
- 11:38Speaker 1: eat and retreat and I transition from work or just
- 11:42Speaker 1: my day before I go into mum life. So I
- 11:44Speaker 1: want to go on with a beautiful calm energy, tap
- 11:46Speaker 1: into my femine energy, and I put a meditation. I
- 11:48Speaker 1: pulled over to this spot. I actually found this gorgeous
- 11:51Speaker 1: little nature patch that I go and sit up, But
- 11:53Speaker 1: there was a creepy old man there, so I just
- 11:54Speaker 1: stayed in my car put on a twelve minute meditation.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I couldn't tell you what the meditation's about. I fell
- 11:59Speaker 1: asleep in my car. I don't remember what they said
- 12:02Speaker 1: at the start. I don't remember it finishing, and I slept,
- 12:05Speaker 1: like how long do you sleep for?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Oh?
- 12:07Speaker 1: Probably about half an hour.
- 12:08Speaker 3: This is so hectic. Yeah, you need to do it more. Oh,
- 12:13Speaker 3: because obviously your body's needing it. I know, And I
- 12:16Speaker 3: was not convenient.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Not convenient. And also this is this whole transition of
- 12:21Speaker 1: working so hard for so long. This is where I'm
- 12:24Speaker 1: like feeling the resistance of resting. And I don't know
- 12:28Speaker 1: if I feel guilty. I'm just so used to always
- 12:31Speaker 1: doing something and being productive that it feels really uncomfortable
- 12:34Speaker 1: to actually stop and do nothing to the point that
- 12:37Speaker 1: I fall asleep.
- 12:38Speaker 3: You know what, You're probably running off adrenaline a lot
- 12:40Speaker 3: of the time, babe, and now that you've actually stopped,
- 12:43Speaker 3: your body's like catching up as well. So now that's
- 12:46Speaker 3: why you're needing those rests in the middle of the day,
- 12:48Speaker 3: and that because your body is like I need this.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I find it frustrating. I've never been like this in
- 12:52Speaker 1: my life. I've always been the energized bunny, like ready
- 12:55Speaker 1: for anything, can handle a million things. And now honestly
- 12:58Speaker 1: gets to like twelve one o'clock and I am fading cooked,
- 13:02Speaker 1: Like I'm absolutely cooked. It's every day, and I'm sick
- 13:05Speaker 1: of complaining about it. Like Steve be like, how is
- 13:07Speaker 1: your day? I'm like, good, but I'm fucking tired again.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Give in.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been having I should have bought something. You've
- 13:13Speaker 1: been having ci moss in the afternoon. Approbably, it's amazing
- 13:15Speaker 1: for energy. So I've been having that. I feel like
- 13:17Speaker 1: that kind of ties me over a little bit.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yep.
- 13:19Speaker 1: And I suppose when you're home with the kids, like
- 13:21Speaker 1: they're so full on. They kind of wake you up.
- 13:23Speaker 1: But I'm also setting a new boundary. I was going
- 13:25Speaker 1: to a bed at nine thirty. I'm going to be
- 13:26Speaker 1: at eight thirty hour yep.
- 13:28Speaker 3: So yeah, I find even if I don't nap in
- 13:30Speaker 3: the day, but if I go for half an hour
- 13:32Speaker 3: and close all the blinds and put meditation music on
- 13:35Speaker 3: and just lay down, you're still having a depp rest exactly. Yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 1: So nice, it's so neat.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:41Speaker 1: So yeah, just I wanted to share that because if
- 13:43Speaker 1: there's any other women out there, you just feel constantly exhausted.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I just don't think we're going to bring this up
- 13:48Speaker 1: in another podcast episode, but I just don't think this
- 13:51Speaker 1: modern day society is supporting women enough. Like back in
- 13:55Speaker 1: the day, if you got your period, like back in
- 13:56Speaker 1: the caveman days, you're hidden in a dark cave for
- 13:59Speaker 1: three days, like bleeding, laying down, resting. The village's taking
- 14:03Speaker 1: care of you. The men are outrod like you actually
- 14:06Speaker 1: get to fully rest. We're so busy all the time
- 14:10Speaker 1: being parents.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Like switch off and go. I'm just going to take
- 14:12Speaker 3: three days in this modern day.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Worldway and it's the top of that, Like not only
- 14:16Speaker 1: we fought for all these women's rights and equal rights whatever,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but to the detriment of like we're doing all those
- 14:22Speaker 1: roles plus all the things that we used to do
- 14:23Speaker 1: as well, there's actually no break for anyone.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Plus being wide in and attached to our kids. Speak
- 14:29Speaker 3: about that you've got all those elements that you've.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Got, Yeah, plugged kids, plugged into social media, plugged into work,
- 14:34Speaker 1: plugged into your husband, plugged into all the tasks.
- 14:37Speaker 3: And to do list is and then want us to
- 14:38Speaker 3: be soft and calm and flowing, and we wonder why
- 14:41Speaker 3: we so hard.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So I've hired and you coach. Her name's Connie. She's beautiful,
- 14:46Speaker 1: Connie Chapman. Yeah. So my first session is on Friday
- 14:50Speaker 1: with her. But I've had like a discovery call with
- 14:52Speaker 1: her and I've had to fill out like a little
- 14:54Speaker 1: workbook as to what I want to get out of
- 14:56Speaker 1: the three months with her. And it was just to
- 14:57Speaker 1: be able to be softer and slower without any resistance
- 15:01Speaker 1: because I don't know if guilt's the word. I feel.
- 15:03Speaker 3: It's just, yeah, there's resist It's uncomfortable, maybe.
- 15:06Speaker 1: A little bit uncomfortable, Like I enjoy it when I'm
- 15:08Speaker 1: doing it, but I feel like there's so many other
- 15:10Speaker 1: things that I could be doing or should be doing. Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 1: but they can wait. Like I logically understand that, but
- 15:15Speaker 1: my physical body wants to do what it's always done
- 15:18Speaker 1: because that's comfortable to me. It's comfortably busy. It's creating
- 15:21Speaker 1: any normal yeah, even Like I know it sounds silly,
- 15:25Speaker 1: but I was sitting with Taala and playing with her
- 15:26Speaker 1: or whatever, and she's pranced around doing a thing. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: enjoy having the washing there to fold, but I'm like,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'm still doing something. So I'm like aware of like, oh,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you can't actually just like just chill like when she's playing.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Such good self awareness though too.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, might I add like when she's playing and she's
- 15:43Speaker 1: good at playing by herself, like I don't always have
- 15:45Speaker 1: to like occupy her, but I could just sit and
- 15:48Speaker 1: watch hers. I'm like, oh, washing needs doing, I'll do
- 15:50Speaker 1: that while I do that multitask. Yeah. So I'm trying
- 15:53Speaker 1: to like rewire and do things differently. But it's tricky.
- 15:56Speaker 3: It is tricky. Yeah, you're gonna have to keep catching
- 15:58Speaker 3: yourself out.
- 15:59Speaker 1: It's going to argon. It's going to take me a
- 16:01Speaker 1: good six months.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Maybe how many years have you been.
- 16:05Speaker 1: That's the thing I've worked since I was thirteen. I
- 16:07Speaker 1: was out of home since I was sixteen. I have
- 16:10Speaker 1: never stopped. Yeah, like even when I go on holidays,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I don't have holidays where I'm not working. I love
- 16:15Speaker 1: my work. It's not like it's hard labor and it's
- 16:17Speaker 1: like it's plugged in. Yeah, it's the mental load. It's
- 16:21Speaker 1: being on all the time. So yeah, I'm just really exhausted.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But my surgeries booked for August thirteenth, So go to
- 16:27Speaker 1: Barley next week and then come back. I've got the
- 16:30Speaker 1: Ultimate Girl's day out on the Sunday. Yeah, I go
- 16:32Speaker 1: into hospital on the Monday and surgeries on the Tuesday.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Oh shivers. Yeah that's all close together.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I know. Wow, a bit of time away from the kids.
- 16:39Speaker 3: You're probably nice though in a way. Yeah, time away
- 16:41Speaker 3: from the kids at me, you'll feel that. But to
- 16:44Speaker 3: come back from the Ultimate girls Out and then be
- 16:45Speaker 3: able to just like relax that next day in the
- 16:47Speaker 3: hospital probably be you know.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So fingers crossed, it goes ahead.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, fingers and toes and everything crossed.
- 16:53Speaker 1: For your bab. Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Can you believe that Lincoln is six?
- 16:57Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. I literally remember coming around like giving
- 17:00Speaker 1: them a bottle like crazy.
- 17:03Speaker 3: No. I have had a full moment yesterday like four
- 17:06Speaker 3: times where I just cried because I just feel so grateful.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I love being a mom. It's the best thing in
- 17:13Speaker 3: the whole entire world. But I was watching like old
- 17:15Speaker 3: videos and we all were together and looking back at
- 17:18Speaker 3: old photos, and I just looked col and I was like,
- 17:20Speaker 3: where does the time go? Like, I'm so grateful that
- 17:23Speaker 3: I've had this amazing time. But it's just like the memory.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Photos him. I remember Chobby little face. He really was
- 17:34Speaker 1: a full blown little boy.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Now I know it's absolutely wild, but he had the
- 17:39Speaker 3: funnest day. I think you do the same ashually. I
- 17:42Speaker 3: let my kids decide if they want to go to
- 17:43Speaker 3: school and school, but then like, we're so lucky that
- 17:47Speaker 3: we are in the vision where they don't need to.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And I wouldn't want to go to school on my
- 17:50Speaker 3: birth if I didn't have to. I honestly can't believe
- 17:53Speaker 3: that I've got another kid that is over six. We've
- 17:55Speaker 3: got another year and a half, babe, and all three
- 17:57Speaker 3: of our kids will be in school.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's crazy, And I just like this just it's
- 18:02Speaker 1: honestly mind boggling. Oh, I can't imagine.
- 18:05Speaker 3: No, it goes really really fast. It does.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Speaking of school, we have been really thinking about homeschooling Taj. Yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and also I'll talk about the day care situation with Taler,
- 18:17Speaker 1: but yeah, we've just been having way bigger conversations around
- 18:21Speaker 1: what it could look like. And I've got another girlfriend
- 18:23Speaker 1: who's done it only for the last couple of months,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and she said it's just been incredible, like the connection
- 18:28Speaker 1: between her and her kids the time, just the values,
- 18:31Speaker 1: the thing that they value as a family and as parents,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and what they want their kids to learn, Like they
- 18:35Speaker 1: have full control over. It's not you go to school
- 18:37Speaker 1: and you have to learn about this. It's like what
- 18:39Speaker 1: do we value and what do we think is going
- 18:40Speaker 1: to serve you as an adult and as a kid.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It just sounds so beautiful. Steve and I were just
- 18:46Speaker 1: talking about like just different things that we wish was
- 18:49Speaker 1: taught in school. We have this conversation all the time,
- 18:52Speaker 1: like why is communication not a subject? Why is gut
- 18:55Speaker 1: health not a subject? I don't know, There's just so
- 18:57Speaker 1: many different topics and I'm like, I wish that was
- 18:59Speaker 1: done at school. But if you homeschool them, you could
- 19:01Speaker 1: literally structure your day still give them the foundational things
- 19:04Speaker 1: of mass neglish or whatever, but the things that you
- 19:06Speaker 1: really value and you think is going to benefit them,
- 19:09Speaker 1: you can implement and get the right teachers in place.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So we're really looking into it. And there's a couple
- 19:13Speaker 1: of kids and the mums that Tarj's were the clothes
- 19:16Speaker 1: with that they will open to it as well. So
- 19:18Speaker 1: we thought, if we can get three or four of
- 19:19Speaker 1: us and we all get the same teacher, take turns
- 19:22Speaker 1: at each of our houses, and like, even Tarj is
- 19:24Speaker 1: loving tennis at the moment, you can get a tennis
- 19:26Speaker 1: liston each day and like, yeah, oh, and I would
- 19:28Speaker 1: obviously get a lot more time with him and take
- 19:30Speaker 1: Tile along to the different events. And there's a massive
- 19:33Speaker 1: homeschool and community and they all get together and go
- 19:35Speaker 1: to the beach and it just seems so beautiful.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Really does.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Now I've got more time and space and capacity, I'm like,
- 19:41Speaker 1: this is something that I definitely could do. But I
- 19:43Speaker 1: see how if I was still running a business and
- 19:45Speaker 1: Steve was working, or if you are listening and you
- 19:47Speaker 1: both were full time, it just it wouldn't work. Now
- 19:49Speaker 1: school is there. It's a great system that helps working parents,
- 19:53Speaker 1: like it's amazing. I'm not dissing school at all. I
- 19:56Speaker 1: just think every family, every kid, every situation and dynamic
- 19:59Speaker 1: is so different. So why not explore those we hate
- 20:02Speaker 1: it and go no, you go back to school. He
- 20:03Speaker 1: might hate it. We asked him at first, he was like, oh,
- 20:06Speaker 1: it's my friends. I said what would you rather do?
- 20:08Speaker 1: And he's like, oh, I don't mind. Like both sound fun,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but I'd like to try her home schooling and see
- 20:12Speaker 1: if I like it, and if not, can I go
- 20:14Speaker 1: back to my school. I was like, yeah, so I
- 20:17Speaker 1: were just looking into that, but yeah, so I was
- 20:19Speaker 1: from a previous episode totally against daycare for Tala once again,
- 20:23Speaker 1: not against daycare. Your kid's gone to daycare Tarjment's daycare,
- 20:26Speaker 1: but just for her and for me, I was just like,
- 20:29Speaker 1: it just doesn't feel right. We've had our nanny for
- 20:31Speaker 1: or should be five years this year. Beautiful Tash, She's
- 20:34Speaker 1: a walking angel. Absolutely love her. She's in one of
- 20:37Speaker 1: the best things for our families. She takes such good
- 20:39Speaker 1: care of our children. We're so close with her. We
- 20:41Speaker 1: even look.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Alike like she's talking, really do you really do?
- 20:45Speaker 1: We joke? We're like sisters from another mister very similar upbringings.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Like it's just she's been so beautiful, but she's trying
- 20:51Speaker 1: to feel pregnant the moment, and now she's actually gonna
- 20:53Speaker 1: move away. Yeah, so she's moving way up north, so
- 20:57Speaker 1: she's kind of given us plenty of notice, but she'll
- 20:59Speaker 1: be going around February, which I bought my eyes out
- 21:01Speaker 1: when she told me. She cried, oh but yeah. Obviously
- 21:06Speaker 1: with Steve and I were like, Okay, what's our plan.
- 21:08Speaker 1: What do we want for Tala? How's it gonna work.
- 21:11Speaker 1: At first, I was like, I'll definitely get another nanny,
- 21:13Speaker 1: just like not as often because I'm not working as
- 21:16Speaker 1: much now. And then he went to take targ for
- 21:18Speaker 1: a playdate at his friend's house and the mum text
- 21:20Speaker 1: me and said, I'll just go around the corner. You'll
- 21:21Speaker 1: see beside the kindy. That's where we'll be. I was like,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you have a kindy. She's like, yeah, like I run
- 21:26Speaker 1: a daycare. I was like, oh my gosh. And it's
- 21:28Speaker 1: just so holistic and natural and beautiful and wholesome, and
- 21:32Speaker 1: the whole backyard is just like filled with trees that
- 21:34Speaker 1: all the kids play on, this big wooden playground, a
- 21:36Speaker 1: big pile of mold. It's just like very nature based,
- 21:39Speaker 1: which is just very mean what I think our kids
- 21:42Speaker 1: need more of. And there's just a small group of
- 21:44Speaker 1: kids there and she has a big fan and takes
- 21:46Speaker 1: them out like little nature adventures. And Tyler did not
- 21:50Speaker 1: want to leave. Like I was dropping Taj off for
- 21:52Speaker 1: the day for a play date, she did not want
- 21:54Speaker 1: to leave. She lost her marbles and I messaged Steve
- 21:57Speaker 1: Aart was like, I actually think this is like a
- 22:00Speaker 1: beautiful place I would like Tyler to go to.
- 22:02Speaker 3: That's so exciting.
- 22:03Speaker 1: So yeah and quiet, and she sent me brochures and everything.
- 22:06Speaker 1: She's not open five days a week and it's more
- 22:07Speaker 1: limited hours, but that also suits me. Yeah, I can
- 22:10Speaker 1: be more flexible now.
- 22:11Speaker 3: So how many days a week does she do?
- 22:12Speaker 1: She doesn't do Mondays, just Tuesday to Friday. Yeah, no
- 22:16Speaker 1: public holidays and it's like drop off at nine, pick
- 22:20Speaker 1: up at four. Yeah, so it's just more limited, but
- 22:22Speaker 1: that so works for me.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Something about her that I'm like, I would feel so
- 22:25Speaker 1: safe handing my child to you, But with a normal daycat,
- 22:28Speaker 1: it's like you don't know them from a bar of soap. Yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I remember handing Taj over and I remember just sitting
- 22:32Speaker 1: in the car balling my eyes being like I didn't
- 22:35Speaker 1: actually know how do they suit them? Like no, yes,
- 22:37Speaker 1: of course they're hagging them when you're there, but like
- 22:39Speaker 1: what if he sits in a corner crying and like
- 22:41Speaker 1: they're too busy with other I don't know. My head
- 22:43Speaker 1: just like, oh I just found that really harboutage and
- 22:47Speaker 1: I just couldn't put myself through it again. Yeah, some
- 22:50Speaker 1: kids are fine, Like you know, I've got friends that
- 22:52Speaker 1: drop the kids off and like, Siema, I.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Know my kids weren't like that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: No, that's what I'm saying. It's not the daycare. It's
- 22:59Speaker 1: the child and it's the mum, And like my emotional capacity,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I can't. Yeah, I just can't.
- 23:05Speaker 3: So with homeschooling, end daycare? Do you know what you're
- 23:07Speaker 3: going to start?
- 23:08Speaker 1: He's staying in school for this year. If we decided
- 23:11Speaker 1: to homeschool, it'd be from the start of next year.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Cool. And it's the same with Tyler as well.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, Tash were leaving in feb So yeah, it'll
- 23:17Speaker 1: be a whole new thing next year.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Wow, I've got some big change.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm still it's not certain. I'm still like just investigating it,
- 23:24Speaker 1: and I hope the two friends that is close with
- 23:27Speaker 1: their parents are the same as me. I hope like
- 23:29Speaker 1: they want to as well. I think together they'd be
- 23:32Speaker 1: really cool if it was just us. I think it
- 23:34Speaker 1: really struggling away from his friends and the school it
- 23:37Speaker 1: goes to is fantastic.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and he likes school.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I don't hate it. There's just some things in there.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm like, Oh, I wish they would teach them more
- 23:43Speaker 1: about this. I wish they would do more of this.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Like even the other day, one of the mums came
- 23:46Speaker 1: in into sound healing for them and I was like,
- 23:48Speaker 1: that would be like ful meditations. Down healing is something
- 23:51Speaker 1: I would incorporate weekly. If I was to homeschool him
- 23:53Speaker 1: cooking classes, I would incorporate weekly. Yeah, it's just from
- 23:56Speaker 1: the air at the moment. To find out more.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, I mean we did that as well, looked
- 24:01Speaker 3: into it for quite a while. Just the biggest thing is,
- 24:03Speaker 3: like you said before, when both parents are kind of
- 24:05Speaker 3: working and trying to juggle, like how you'd make it happen.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I think we definitely need some more help. So I
- 24:10Speaker 3: think it'd be quite an expensive task. And then yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 3: just getting like, you know, if we wanted to get
- 24:15Speaker 3: a teacher to help, but if you could do in
- 24:17Speaker 3: a community like that and get other moms and kids together,
- 24:20Speaker 3: that's such a.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Clever way of doing it. Yeah, because I've got a
- 24:22Speaker 1: girlfriend that does it, and that's what I said to
- 24:24Speaker 1: about Pass and she goes, nah, Babe, it's not expensive
- 24:26Speaker 1: when you've got a community, like you're all helping, you're contributing,
- 24:29Speaker 1: like you're all in there teaching them, and yeah, they're
- 24:31Speaker 1: definitely not well off financially, so it doesn't have to
- 24:34Speaker 1: be expensive. But if you were to get a teacher
- 24:36Speaker 1: in and it's just for your kids, it probably would
- 24:37Speaker 1: be more. Yeah, But I think when you really get
- 24:39Speaker 1: amongst the community, there's so much there. Yeah, like sol.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Exciteyyeah, good as well just being open and you know,
- 24:48Speaker 3: yeah learning new things about that and wonderful.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I'll be a mess to day I dropped Taylor off though, honestly,
- 24:52Speaker 1: I'd be like freedom.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I think the first day she's upset, you might be.
- 24:56Speaker 3: I think if she's like stoked the first week, you'll
- 24:57Speaker 3: probably find it quite easy. But maybe the first day
- 25:00Speaker 3: when she's like mom, that's when you're like, I remember
- 25:04Speaker 3: sitting in my car crying after dropping them off.
- 25:06Speaker 1: It can trume my whole day, just to try the
- 25:08Speaker 1: whole day, and then you.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Checking your phone all the times if there's like pictures
- 25:10Speaker 3: that have come through.
- 25:12Speaker 1: So hard, isn't it.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah, So something really exciting is I might be doing
- 25:18Speaker 3: a bit of traveling in September. I feel so privileged
- 25:22Speaker 3: to be able to go and do this and just
- 25:24Speaker 3: work alongside Operation Smile. If you don't know about Operation Smile,
- 25:28Speaker 3: they basically an organization that repairs cleft lips. They also
- 25:33Speaker 3: do craniofacial surgeries, so you know, if people have got
- 25:36Speaker 3: certain growths and stuff on their face, they can help
- 25:38Speaker 3: get rid of them. And a lot of these kids
- 25:41Speaker 3: in other countries are struggling a lot with eating and
- 25:43Speaker 3: just doing day to day tasks, like you know, they're
- 25:45Speaker 3: struggling so much, and they do it all in third
- 25:47Speaker 3: world countries because here in Australia it is all through
- 25:50Speaker 3: the government, which is amazing. How lucky we live in
- 25:53Speaker 3: a country lucky where you know you've got that support.
- 25:56Speaker 3: So they have actually invited Kurt and I to go
- 25:58Speaker 3: on a mission and I just like don't even have
- 26:01Speaker 3: words for it to be able to be there and
- 26:03Speaker 3: see in real time what they are actually do and
- 26:05Speaker 3: how they help these families.
- 26:07Speaker 1: So what is a mission?
- 26:09Speaker 3: What they do is they go over and they meet
- 26:11Speaker 3: all of the little kids, and there's even some adults
- 26:13Speaker 3: that still haven't had that need surgery. They educate them,
- 26:17Speaker 3: let them know what they're going to do. Then they
- 26:19Speaker 3: do the surgery for about three or four days on
- 26:21Speaker 3: all the different as many as they can in that time,
- 26:23Speaker 3: and they do postop on the last day and then leave.
- 26:26Speaker 3: But basically, yeah, we've been invited to go and document
- 26:30Speaker 3: it all. So I'm so because it's something that you know,
- 26:34Speaker 3: has been so close to curtain my heart, having Miller
- 26:37Speaker 3: born with a cleft, and we've donated to repair a
- 26:40Speaker 3: lot of clefts with them without business, which has been amazing.
- 26:44Speaker 3: And yes, so we're either going to go the end
- 26:46Speaker 3: of this year, so thirtieth of September to Manila, or
- 26:50Speaker 3: they've got one in May in India, or they've got
- 26:53Speaker 3: one next September in Manila as well. But obviously just
- 26:56Speaker 3: trying to align everything with the kids being looked after
- 26:59Speaker 3: and you know, getting over there. But I am just
- 27:02Speaker 3: so yeah, I'm so palm it's incredible life changing. I
- 27:07Speaker 3: said to actually like Colonel come home and just things
- 27:10Speaker 3: that feel so big and significant will just feel so
- 27:12Speaker 3: small and insignificant.
- 27:14Speaker 1: And just how cool that you can contribute in that way.
- 27:16Speaker 1: And even you're like editing and filming skills to be
- 27:19Speaker 1: able to really document in a way that can be
- 27:20Speaker 1: so captivating, to spread the awareness, to make people watch
- 27:23Speaker 1: what actually you know they do the work that they do,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and for you to go meet the kids and like
- 27:27Speaker 1: see them before surgery, like you know, hold their hand
- 27:30Speaker 1: going in or I don't know if you get to
- 27:31Speaker 1: do that, and then afterwards watch them coming out like
- 27:33Speaker 1: that whole.
- 27:34Speaker 3: And just the excitement of them coming out, and like
- 27:36Speaker 3: because so many of these kids as well, they completely
- 27:38Speaker 3: shunned by their community, so like kids throw rocks at them,
- 27:41Speaker 3: they won't play with them. They think that they're witches
- 27:43Speaker 3: in certain countries as well. So when you repair it,
- 27:46Speaker 3: it actually completely changes their life, like they're socially accepted
- 27:50Speaker 3: by their tribe and everything. Again, so I'm pumped for that.
- 27:53Speaker 3: And then they're also doing a fun run. So it's
- 27:56Speaker 3: on the eighth of September. It's ten kilometers.
- 27:59Speaker 1: So cool up here at brisy.
- 28:01Speaker 3: So if anyone wants to come, message me and I
- 28:03Speaker 3: can give you the details. But that's just to raise
- 28:05Speaker 3: some awareness as well. So it's gonna be yeah, fun day.
- 28:08Speaker 3: I just love just being aligned with things that just
- 28:11Speaker 3: like fill you up, like all the things I do
- 28:13Speaker 3: and everyone that works there, like this organization. They're just
- 28:16Speaker 3: all so beautiful, Like every single person you come in
- 28:19Speaker 3: contact with every event we go to, they're all so loving,
- 28:22Speaker 3: they're so caring, they're so genuine, down to earth, Like
- 28:25Speaker 3: we sitn't have coffee dates with them, Kurt and I
- 28:27Speaker 3: and catch ups and yeah, it's just such a beautiful organization.
- 28:31Speaker 3: But I'm so excited. And I said at the start
- 28:34Speaker 3: of this year, like I manifested this hugely. I kept
- 28:37Speaker 3: talking saying I wanted more travel. I think we had
- 28:40Speaker 3: it on the podcast either, Yeah, and I was talking
- 28:42Speaker 3: about a lot. And there's just been so many random
- 28:45Speaker 3: trips that have popped up this year and this is
- 28:47Speaker 3: just another one.
- 28:49Speaker 1: So cool.
- 28:50Speaker 3: I can't wait to have the experience and be able
- 28:52Speaker 3: to share it too.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I can't wait to seal the content.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I'm plump.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It's gonna be amazing. Yeah, So we had our first
- 28:59Speaker 1: tar has ever had this, but hand foot in mouth
- 29:02Speaker 1: with Tala. Oh my goodness, poor little thing. It was
- 29:06Speaker 1: so rough for her. So she had none on her feet.
- 29:10Speaker 1: She had one little blister on her finger that never
- 29:12Speaker 1: actually popped or anything. It literally just like went away.
- 29:15Speaker 1: But underneath her tongue or it was like one massive ulcer.
- 29:20Speaker 1: So for a cup, she was just absolutely miserable. I've
- 29:23Speaker 1: never seen her like that. She really showed me what
- 29:25Speaker 1: a happy kid she is. But she couldn't drink her bottle.
- 29:28Speaker 1: She barely ate. It was also super painful, so painful,
- 29:33Speaker 1: like I almost wish they were on her hands or feet.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I feel like that may have been easier, but oh
- 29:38Speaker 1: it was so sad. So that was really hard. And
- 29:41Speaker 1: that finished, and then she got an eye infection. I
- 29:43Speaker 1: was like, oh my goodness, what the hell. And it
- 29:45Speaker 1: wasn't conjunctivitis and it wasn't a sty. The doctor took
- 29:48Speaker 1: a swab to find out what it is, but I
- 29:49Speaker 1: didn't hear back from him. I need to actually call.
- 29:51Speaker 1: But she went on her first antibotics, which I just
- 29:53Speaker 1: hate giving. I know they're necessary and hence why I
- 29:55Speaker 1: gave them to her, But just like rebuilding her gut
- 29:58Speaker 1: health back up now. But yeah, that was rough, like
- 30:01Speaker 1: a handfut in Mauth.
- 30:02Speaker 3: We haven't had that in her house yet. Touch Actually
- 30:05Speaker 3: really lucky because a lot of our friends have had that,
- 30:07Speaker 3: like daycare and stuff. Yeah don't they picked up from
- 30:10Speaker 3: So just said had it first?
- 30:11Speaker 1: No, he hasn't had it. So apparently it could be
- 30:13Speaker 1: shopping trolley's, it could be a park there you go, swimming,
- 30:16Speaker 1: It could be anywhere. Wow, anyone has an open blister. Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 1: or like if I kissed her, I could get it
- 30:23Speaker 1: there you go. So we were just and like she
- 30:25Speaker 1: loves going outside, so we were home bound and I
- 30:28Speaker 1: get such cabin fever, Like it was really really hard
- 30:31Speaker 1: to be a home for that whole time. We've got
- 30:34Speaker 1: a little area down near our house. It's like just
- 30:36Speaker 1: kind of goes onto a creek. So I take her
- 30:38Speaker 1: down there to like throw sticks in the water, and
- 30:40Speaker 1: that was like her little outing. But otherwise it was
- 30:42Speaker 1: just in the backyard and like playing with the toys again.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Did she get stir crazy too, Yeah, my kids do
- 30:47Speaker 3: as well.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And a lot of screen time, which I don't really
- 30:49Speaker 1: give her any screen time, but when she was in
- 30:52Speaker 1: so much pain, it was the only thing that was Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I tried going outside, I tried like playing games with her,
- 30:58Speaker 1: and she was just like are we are? We are?
- 30:59Speaker 1: We gotta do what you gotta do. So we had
- 31:01Speaker 1: to like wean her off the TV, which we've done.
- 31:03Speaker 1: It only took a couple of days, but that was
- 31:04Speaker 1: like saved us.
- 31:05Speaker 3: They get so addicted, don't they so addicted so quickly,
- 31:08Speaker 3: so quick.
- 31:09Speaker 1: It also allowed me to still be able to do
- 31:10Speaker 1: a bit of work on my phone while she was
- 31:12Speaker 1: watching TV. Like still she still wanted to be cuddled.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But yeah, there were some long days. It was a
- 31:17Speaker 1: long week.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Speaking of saws and mouth. Yeah, remember how Curdie got
- 31:22Speaker 3: the side of his lip burned. I haven't actually spoke
- 31:24Speaker 3: about this on the podcast, but Kurt went to get
- 31:26Speaker 3: a skin check and he had a severe sun spot
- 31:30Speaker 3: on his lip so straight away the doctor wouldn't even
- 31:34Speaker 3: let him leave without burning it right then and there, Kurt,
- 31:36Speaker 3: So it was one of the most painful things on
- 31:38Speaker 3: your lip. He's ever experienced, so much nerve ending. So
- 31:42Speaker 3: he had like a massive big burn on the side
- 31:44Speaker 3: of his lip. It was all bleeding like it took
- 31:46Speaker 3: ages to heal as well. You're thinking in your mouth
- 31:48Speaker 3: it would heal quick, but.
- 31:49Speaker 1: It's outside the mouth.
- 31:50Speaker 3: It's not a true true. But anyways, he's got to
- 31:54Speaker 3: go back because they said he's actually got a laser
- 31:56Speaker 3: his entire bottom lip. He's not looking forward to a bay.
- 32:00Speaker 3: They wanted that once box was really bad, but they said,
- 32:02Speaker 3: then he takes three layers off his whole bottom lip
- 32:04Speaker 3: and just the healing and that kissing for you guys,
- 32:07Speaker 3: no kissing and even like just trying to have like
- 32:09Speaker 3: a warm drink or something like, you can't do any
- 32:11Speaker 3: of that stuff.
- 32:12Speaker 1: For god, I know.
- 32:14Speaker 3: The poor thing means so lucky that they've picked up
- 32:15Speaker 3: on it. Yeah, it's not cancerous yet, but if he
- 32:18Speaker 3: left it so they said, the severe sun spot another
- 32:20Speaker 3: couple of years, who knows, so it could have yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 3: definitely gone that way. So Little reminded to get the
- 32:25Speaker 3: sun check as well. But he's got a book in
- 32:28Speaker 3: to get that done. He keeps putting it off, and
- 32:29Speaker 3: he keeps going, oh, just weight, i'ld just wait, and
- 32:31Speaker 3: I'm like, now I know, and also just really painful.
- 32:34Speaker 3: It takes ages to heal. So he's just like and
- 32:37Speaker 3: last time, I feel like everyone's just looking out of
- 32:38Speaker 3: me a bit funny, like has he been punched in
- 32:40Speaker 3: their face? Or like what's happened because a big bump
- 32:42Speaker 3: on his lip? But yeah, I know the whole bottom lip.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Oh, it would make yourself conscious. I remember my mum
- 32:48Speaker 1: had skin cancer and she had to do chemo treatment,
- 32:50Speaker 1: which they put this cream on her face and it
- 32:52Speaker 1: basically like burns the cancer away, but your whole face
- 32:55Speaker 1: is like it looks like scabbed and bleeding and raw,
- 32:59Speaker 1: like it's literally taking layers of your skin off. And
- 33:02Speaker 1: I remember the first time I saw her, I just like,
- 33:04Speaker 1: I'm pretty good with most medical things, Like it takes
- 33:06Speaker 1: a lot to like not gross me out, but gross
- 33:08Speaker 1: me out. Yeah, And I just was like, oh my gosh,
- 33:11Speaker 1: your face looks so sore. But she just went out.
- 33:14Speaker 1: She she was was really surprised. Actually she didn't really care.
- 33:17Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, look at me, but whatever, whatever to do.
- 33:19Speaker 1: And it's twelve week treatment. Yeah, so what can you do?
- 33:22Speaker 1: You can't hire for twelve weeks, definitely, But yeah that's
- 33:25Speaker 1: just when it's on your face. I get a big
- 33:27Speaker 1: pimpo and I find that hard lot.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And even painful. Like in how we find like We're
- 33:31Speaker 3: just saying how painful pimples can be. Like getting things
- 33:34Speaker 3: like that done is so like so sensitive.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I feel like the injected just that it's always more
- 33:39Speaker 1: painful than like normal botox because there's so many nerve
- 33:41Speaker 1: endings around your lips here you go so much more sensitive. Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: speaking of health, I feel like I'm finally like falling
- 33:48Speaker 1: back in love with the gym. Yeah, and I've realized
- 33:50Speaker 1: it's taken me such a long time. Like obviously I
- 33:52Speaker 1: was pregnant with Tiler and I still move my body.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I honestly think I haven't loved the gym like Waits
- 33:57Speaker 1: Gym since I had my own gym. Because having my
- 34:00Speaker 1: own gym, it was just the whole environment. The culture
- 34:02Speaker 1: of the community is all females. I just like it
- 34:05Speaker 1: so much, so I had that to compare to. So
- 34:07Speaker 1: every gym I went to, I was just like, oh,
- 34:09Speaker 1: there's just no five the music shit, and like no
- 34:11Speaker 1: one's friendly and it just the classes didn't love so
- 34:15Speaker 1: kind of just like mainly trained from home and gone
- 34:17Speaker 1: to the gym like once maybe twice a week, just
- 34:19Speaker 1: because I do like weights, but I wasn't loving it.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And since I've met my girlfriend Tiana. We go four
- 34:23Speaker 1: times a week now, and it's just so nice to
- 34:25Speaker 1: one have accountability, Like I would not get up at
- 34:28Speaker 1: quarter past four to go to the gym if I
- 34:30Speaker 1: wasn't meeting her. Absolutely en two the endorphins I get.
- 34:34Speaker 1: It overflows to my whole day because we're not only
- 34:36Speaker 1: active and moving our bodies and it feels healthy, like
- 34:39Speaker 1: we're giggling, we're laughing, we're having deep conversations. We're getting
- 34:41Speaker 1: to hang out. Yeah, like four times a week now,
- 34:43Speaker 1: which is so cool, and she pushes me. Yes.
- 34:46Speaker 3: So honestly, having a gym buddies game changer. There's no
- 34:49Speaker 3: slacking off, same as dance. That's so I said to you, like,
- 34:51Speaker 3: as soon as my friends drop off and I'm on
- 34:53Speaker 3: my own, I don't go. I do it for like
- 34:55Speaker 3: a few weeks, and then I'm like, it's not as fun.
- 34:57Speaker 1: It is not as fun. You can go, you can
- 34:59Speaker 1: get it done, and You're like, yeah, you can put
- 35:01Speaker 1: music on me to go to the gym, but it's
- 35:02Speaker 1: just not the same as having so much training. So
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'm loving it. And I thought the gym actually was
- 35:09Speaker 1: kind of like a past version, like oh, that was
- 35:11Speaker 1: just when you were younger, You've had kids now like
- 35:13Speaker 1: making up with these stories. But I'm like, no, I
- 35:15Speaker 1: actually fucking love the gym, and I get up super
- 35:17Speaker 1: early so that I can be back before my kids
- 35:19Speaker 1: wake up, Yeah, to get my me time, and then
- 35:21Speaker 1: I'm fully present with them, and I just feel like
- 35:22Speaker 1: I've got more capacity for them as well. That's so good.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I play the craze changed that for me hugely.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:30Speaker 3: As soon as the kids started being okay and liking
- 35:32Speaker 3: the crage, I was like, sweet, now I can go
- 35:34Speaker 3: way more. But until that point, I feel like I
- 35:36Speaker 3: was the saying I was like once a week, twice
- 35:38Speaker 3: a week, you know the box, Yeah, ticking the box.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Whereas now can I go together a lot of the time? Yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 3: And we just bring them, put them in the grace
- 35:45Speaker 3: and they love it.
- 35:46Speaker 1: They look forward to it. I love how good.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:49Speaker 3: We were so nervous to try as well. So anyone
- 35:51Speaker 3: who's been like hesitating, going, oh, I don't know how they're
- 35:52Speaker 3: going to go, give it a try.
- 35:54Speaker 1: So good.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah, wish we did it earlier.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Epic. Isn't it so good? And I feel like when
- 35:59Speaker 1: you're moving your body consistently, it's obviously an overflow to
- 36:02Speaker 1: you more conscious of what you put in your body.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You want to be feeling it Like, it's so true.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Realize I was kind of not under eating purposely, but
- 36:08Speaker 1: now I'm more conscious of eating enough so that I
- 36:10Speaker 1: can train and have the energy to train well.
- 36:13Speaker 3: And gay muscle.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like really conscious how much protin I'm eating
- 36:16Speaker 1: and not as much like sugary lily sweets, which I've
- 36:19Speaker 1: been pretty good since eten.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Sorry, I just brought some fundation.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Good ingredients. Speaking of a hack that I found has
- 36:27Speaker 1: worked really well. If you're trying to cut out sugar,
- 36:30Speaker 1: brush your teeth. Honestly, friggin treat. I do it. I
- 36:33Speaker 1: was going to have it after dinner having something sweet,
- 36:35Speaker 1: but even during the day from craving something. Now I
- 36:37Speaker 1: brush my teeth.
- 36:37Speaker 3: That's such a good idea.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Nothing tastes good when you've got like strong minty taste
- 36:42Speaker 1: in your mouth instantly goes away.
- 36:44Speaker 3: You got me onto the tongue scraper. I love it.
- 36:47Speaker 1: If you're good your mouth, you got me on to
- 36:51Speaker 1: do it the first thing you do before you have water. Otherwise,
- 36:53Speaker 1: if you have water, actually swallowing some of the toxins
- 36:55Speaker 1: like scrape for a I've been doing before bed and
- 36:57Speaker 1: then in the morning.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so good, so good. Getting your recommendations.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I love it recommend things. I feel
- 37:05Speaker 1: like I recommend health stuff to you and you recommend
- 37:07Speaker 1: beauty stuff to me. It's so drue. I love it.
- 37:12Speaker 1: So I'm going to Europe with just Taj. I know.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I spoke about this on a previous episode of Like
- 37:16Speaker 1: My Intrusive Thoughts. If you haven't listened to that episode,
- 37:18Speaker 1: it's quite a deep one, a very vulnerable one of
- 37:20Speaker 1: the intrusive thoughts that go through my mind when it
- 37:23Speaker 1: comes to traveling with my kids. And yeah, we just
- 37:26Speaker 1: decided to book Taj and Ice. We're going over to Italy.
- 37:28Speaker 1: We've got one night in Rome together and then we
- 37:30Speaker 1: go out to the wedding destination, which is out in
- 37:32Speaker 1: the middle of nowhere. It's literally like a big property,
- 37:34Speaker 1: and then we're going to Paris for four nights. So
- 37:37Speaker 1: I'm so excited. He's so excited. I think it's going
- 37:40Speaker 1: to be a trip that I would just look back
- 37:41Speaker 1: on for the rest of my life and like that
- 37:43Speaker 1: was such a special Mum and Sun Train incredible. We're
- 37:46Speaker 1: really close, but I do feel like since Tyler's come along,
- 37:49Speaker 1: he's more closer to Steve because I kind of was
- 37:51Speaker 1: breastfeeding and up with her, and like she's very mummy's girl,
- 37:55Speaker 1: Like she's so mean to Steve. No daddy, I want
- 37:57Speaker 1: mummy like sassy, Like it's so mean. I'm like, oh,
- 38:01Speaker 1: you have such a nice dad, like I would have
- 38:03Speaker 1: dreamed to have a dad like him. She'll go out
- 38:06Speaker 1: of it, I know, but naturally, I just I'm with
- 38:09Speaker 1: her more so I can't wait to have this quality
- 38:11Speaker 1: time with just Targe. And I also feel like when
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm with her, I can't give my order charge because
- 38:15Speaker 1: she interrupts every.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Five and they need you so much more. I can
- 38:17Speaker 3: feel like with Red two, it's hard to have quality
- 38:20Speaker 3: time with the others when she is around. Like even
- 38:21Speaker 3: if Kur just takes her out for half the day
- 38:23Speaker 3: and I got the other two, I'm like, oh I
- 38:24Speaker 3: can really, it's not conset mum, mum mum that I
- 38:28Speaker 3: want this want that.
- 38:29Speaker 1: It's just one hundred percent. So I'm excited to just
- 38:31Speaker 1: be fully present with him. They're just going for twelve days,
- 38:34Speaker 1: which I know sounds like a lot, but for a
- 38:35Speaker 1: europe trip, it's actually not no, if you're allowed twenty
- 38:38Speaker 1: four hours on one end twenty four hours in the
- 38:40Speaker 1: back end to get home, and the time difference is
- 38:42Speaker 1: so hard to adjust to and it's going to be
- 38:44Speaker 1: pretty go go go.
- 38:45Speaker 3: So what's the time difference?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Like it's like complete opposite, pleet opposite. Yeah, around like
- 38:49Speaker 1: I think two pm, but it was like three am
- 38:52Speaker 1: at home.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Oh wow. It's like it's like complete opposite, so out
- 38:56Speaker 3: of wag wow.
- 38:57Speaker 1: But I'm so excited. It's going to be so fun.
- 39:00Speaker 3: So exciting.
- 39:01Speaker 1: So when you go again September seventh, September seventh, and
- 39:04Speaker 1: the wedding is on the twelve. Yeah, so she's gonna
- 39:06Speaker 1: look so beautiful. I should be the most stunning bride. Stunning, Yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 1: like she really is. There's not one bit of like
- 39:12Speaker 1: closet psychoe is there. Someone is so perfect You're like,
- 39:16Speaker 1: you've got to be a closet psycho. There's nothing with her.
