- 0:00And around me was misery.
- 0:03So I was always questioning those things, and I was just like, why would we be and I was raised
- 0:07really Christian.
- 0:08So why would God make everything so perfect?
- 0:12But somehow, I'm a default because I'm a woman, I have a menstrual cycle, and because I
- 0:17actually like sex.
- 0:19So that's where it all started.
- 0:32I also traveled a lot in Central And South America and India and all of these places when
- 0:36I was younger.
- 0:38It's just the the masculine project.
- 0:40And what's devoid in the masculine project is women's autonomy and sovereignty and pleasure.
- 0:47It was to me, it was a revolution and it was the the rebellion in me.
- 0:50It's like, I'm gonna find out more.
- 0:52Half of the planet is female and we're all here because of women.
- 0:54We have basically 13 to 15% of testosterone levels than a man's body does.
- 1:01So our testosterone runs out really quickly.
- 1:04It's the push hormone.
- 1:05So men's system, they run on a twenty four hour cycle, which is the sun cycle.
- 1:10Our system works on a lunar cycle.
- 1:13We're problematic because we have this menstrual cycle.
- 1:16Our cortisol levels become very, very high, which also decreases aloe verdos, so many
- 1:20things, but it's so, it really messes with our health and our ability to think.
- 1:25We need to have our dopamine rebooted, and the easiest way is through.
- 1:31We have a pharmaceutical world that needs to make a lot of money out of women, you know, by
- 1:38one movie.
- 1:39You know, when we're learning to speak to a man differently and listen differently, you better
- 1:43be prepared.
- 1:45Hey, everybody.
- 1:46Welcome back to another episode on The Lounge.
- 1:49I'm your host and board certified sexologist, doctor Diane.
- 1:54And I have a treat for you guys today.
- 1:56We talk sometimes on this show around the importance of pleasure, which I think is such a
- 2:02pivotal topic because it really takes us out of the conversation around, like, pleasure just
- 2:07being about sex or just being about intis intimacy.
- 2:10It's obviously that, but I think so many times people move into this world of thinking that if
- 2:18it's just okay not to attend this.
- 2:20Right?
- 2:20And and for many of us that study sex, pleasure becomes so important, and it can be as
- 2:26important as all of the other self care things we do.
- 2:29Good, you know, good food and movement and water and all of these great things.
- 2:34So I'm really excited to introduce you all to Melissa Louise who is a pleasure advocate.
- 2:40She's an erotic blueprint coach.
- 2:42She works around the world teaching and training and leading courses.
- 2:47She really helps to help men and women just both find their attraction within, helping them
- 2:54to almost like be their own turn on.
- 2:57And there's so many more things that that Melissa is doing.
- 3:00So we're gonna learn all about this and more, but we're gonna focus on pleasure, your why,
- 3:04how to overcome this, and so much more.
- 3:06So welcome.
- 3:07Thank you for being here with me.
- 3:09Oh my goodness, Diana.
- 3:10I'm so excited for this conversation as well.
- 3:12So thank you.
- 3:13Thank you.
- 3:13Thank you.
- 3:14Same here.
- 3:15Same here.
- 3:16And like I said, I think there's just so much alignment between you and I around this
- 3:20conversation of pleasure and how we look at it.
- 3:23So we're gonna talk about the importance and why.
- 3:26Think we should maybe start with the why it's related to physical health and emotional health
- 3:32and spiritual health and how it's beyond just this this intimate moment.
- 3:37But I'm curious, like, for for learning a little bit about you, like, how how did you
- 3:43come to see pleasure as so much more than just this intimate moment?
- 3:48I love this question.
- 3:50This is and it's not a short answer, but I'll I'll try and keep it short.
- 3:56You know, as a as a woman being raised in the Western world and also, you know, it really
- 4:03comes back to where I was raised, which is in Australia on the farm and on the land where
- 4:08anything to do with the feminine, anything to do with how I operated in the world was, as a
- 4:14woman, is completely considered defunctory.
- 4:19Like, you've gotta produce, you gotta do the things, and everything gives over to work.
- 4:23And around me was misery.
- 4:26You know, the misery of the women, how also so so there's many different layers to this.
- 4:31So that you know, that's the beginning of the layer of, you know, just the misery in the
- 4:35women and also the illness that we experience, and then also the the part that, we have to be
- 4:41ashamed of who we are as women cycle, and this has a lot to do with pleasure.
- 4:45So I was always questioning those things, and I was just like, Why would we be?
- 4:49And I was raised really Christian.
- 4:51So why would God make everything so perfect?
- 4:54But somehow, I'm a default because I'm a woman, I have a menstrual cycle, and because I
- 5:00actually like sex.
- 5:02So apparently that's a default even though I'm created in the eyes of perfection.
- 5:06So that's where it all started.
- 5:07And then when I started really noticing just how closed off I was expected to be as a woman
- 5:16and how many people around me, like in marriages and relationships and masculine
- 5:20project, I was witnessing I also traveled a lot in Central And South America and India and all
- 5:25of these places when I was younger.
- 5:27It's just the the masculine project, and what's devoid in the masculine project is women's
- 5:34autonomy and sovereignty and pleasure.
- 5:37So that I just it was to me, was a revolution and it was the rebellion in me.
- 5:41It's like, I'm gonna find out more.
- 5:43And then once I start finding out more around the health of our menstrual cycle, where we
- 5:47don't have a healthy menstrual cycle when we're devoid of pleasure, and relationships and the
- 5:53responsibility of our pleasure for ourselves.
- 5:55So yeah.
- 5:56Yeah.
- 5:57It's so relatable.
- 5:58I know it's so relatable for me.
- 5:59I'm sure it's so relatable for so many people around this.
- 6:02Almost like this woman stigma, right, around, well, so many of us are giving our lives in a
- 6:11service way, whether it's on our career or as a mother or as a giver in some sort of way.
- 6:17And I think there's been this, like, this stigma, right, that we can't self care, we
- 6:24can't self pleasure, we can't have these things because they're almost at the expense of
- 6:28service instead of actually really beginning to fundamentally understand, which I think so many
- 6:33people are starting to around, oh, this pleasure and attending to this is actually
- 6:38which is what allows all those other things to to work.
- 6:42I mean Definitely.
- 6:44We So what ways, like, would you say that you see, like, pleasure really related to, like,
- 6:51then?
- 6:51Like, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, like, you know, tell me a little bit about,
- 6:55like, kind of your perspective on, like, how all those interplay.
- 6:59So if we're looking at the the masculine project of how our world is run, it's based on
- 7:05a testosterone driven and, amplified existence, which is produced, work, work, work, and going
- 7:12you know, getting up with the sun where we're following the sun calendar.
- 7:16Now that works really effing well for a man's body.
- 7:20And yet, I don't know if you've noticed about half of the planet is female, and we're all
- 7:23here because of women, by the way.
- 7:25Like, every single person has come from a woman's body, but we will ignore the female
- 7:30body.
- 7:31So we're just looking at testosterone levels.
- 7:33I mean, we have basically 13 to 15% of testosterone levels than a man's body does.
- 7:40So our testosterone runs out really quickly.
- 7:43Now testosterone is the go out and get shit done hormone.
- 7:46You know?
- 7:46It's it's the push hormone.
- 7:48So men's system, they run on a twenty four hour cycle, which is the sun cycle.
- 7:53Our system works on a lunar cycle.
- 7:55So we're recording this on the new it is new year today.
- 7:59It wasn't January.
- 8:00Today is the first moon cycle of 13 moon cycles in in a whole, you know, iteration.
- 8:06So I love that this is when we're recording this.
- 8:09Yeah.
- 8:09So happy new year, by the way.
- 8:11Yeah.
- 8:12Funny new year.
- 8:13Yes.
- 8:15So so then if a woman is existing in the man's the man's energetic cycle, she's in constant
- 8:23depletion, and we see this.
- 8:25We've created menopause.
- 8:27Menopause is not the female body is not designed to always turn in on itself and to be
- 8:33a fucking problem in itself, but our culture makes us believe that we are.
- 8:38We're problematic because we can't orgasm when the man orgasms.
- 8:40We're problematic because we have this menstrual cycle.
- 8:43We're problematic because even though the world needs human beings to be born to keep
- 8:48producing, to keep purchasing, we're problematic if we want time off to actually
- 8:52care for them.
- 8:53It's all of this stuff where we're so problematic.
- 8:57Therefore, we are in consistent depletion.
- 9:00Our cortisol levels become very, very high, which also decreases our libido, so many
- 9:05things, but it really messes with our health and our ability to think.
- 9:10So we women are consistently producing in survival.
- 9:14We're consistently producing from this place of survival.
- 9:18So a woman who is following her system is like every hour and a half, every two hours, there's
- 9:25a need for a break and pleasure.
- 9:27Now pleasure, yes, can be an orgasm, but pleasure is the way that we eat.
- 9:31Pleasure is is like just taking standing out in the sunshine and just taking 10 deep breaths.
- 9:36I mean, science is proving all of this, but women are going, yeah.
- 9:39This is how we need to exist.
- 9:40You know?
- 9:40Now that science is proving it, many people are getting on the bandwagon.
- 9:44But it actually we need to have our dopamine rebooted, and the easiest way is through
- 9:50pleasure.
- 9:50So and pleasure is our responsibility.
- 9:54And I think too because much of the way of the feminine has been dismissed because it doesn't
- 10:01fit into the construct of of the masculine project, then just the way that women are has
- 10:08also been deemed as frivolous or it's it's not really it's not to be taken seriously.
- 10:14Yet a woman is born an orgasm.
- 10:19Like, we are orgasmic by nature.
- 10:22The way our whole system operates is an is so erotic.
- 10:27The fact that, you know, the way that we fall in love, the way that we'll touch the skin of
- 10:30our children, the way that we're so like, you know, the silk that we wanna wear or the way
- 10:35that we set up our houses.
- 10:37Like, you know, there's people talk about how the feminine just amplifies everything.
- 10:41Well, that's all that is in an orgasmic manner.
- 10:43It's an erotic turn on manner.
- 10:45But because we vilified those words and we've vilified the act of pleasure, it's being
- 10:51removed from the human experience.
- 10:53It's how we experience life.
- 10:55So it's so necessary for the health of relationships and family, as well as our brain
- 11:01and our heart health.
- 11:03Our our hormones need to be reset through pleasure, which is why we have so many issues
- 11:07around our menstruation.
- 11:09I mean, people we have a pharmaceutical world that needs to make a lot of money out of women,
- 11:15you know, by relieving clutter.
- 11:18Mean, follow the money and you will find the answers.
- 11:21Mhmm.
- 11:22Mhmm.
- 11:22Yeah.
- 11:22One of the things I'm thinking about as you talk that I've been just speaking out about,
- 11:27just I feel a level of frustration around this, is when it comes to even describing female
- 11:33anatomy, like, lot of what I find is happening is we are oftentimes, like, looking at, like
- 11:38and and we're comparing, like, okay.
- 11:40The clitoris on a woman is like this part on a man and that type of thing.
- 11:45And I I get really frustrated by it because kind of like you're saying, it's like we've
- 11:48gotten to this point where everything about a female is almost looked at as like like, okay.
- 11:54This is how to relate it to the masculine versus this is a completely different like, we
- 12:00are structured very, very, very different, and both, you know, man and women are, you know,
- 12:06amazingly perfect in their uniqueness of their structure.
- 12:09But I think we really are running into these problems of not supporting the female to
- 12:14pleasure and orgasm by saying, like, okay.
- 12:17Well, this body part, it's like the female version of that.
- 12:20And, like, that's not really what it is at all.
- 12:23Yes.
- 12:23So you you brought up, like, pleasure being our responsibility, which I totally agree with.
- 12:30But I would love to, like, go deeper into that.
- 12:32Like, what does that mean to you, and, like, what do you have to say about that?
- 12:35Because I think that's an important thing.
- 12:37Yeah.
- 12:39I mean, first of all, knowing our body and knowing how our body responds to certain touch
- 12:44and what we like and what our different orgasmic gateways need.
- 12:48The clitoris is well, clitoris is our labia is the first gateway.
- 12:52You know, our labia, many women don't you know, we're not even taught this, but our labia is
- 12:56the most exquisite first gateway.
- 12:58She's closed for many reasons.
- 13:00It's like, I'm not effing ready, and she will open when she's ready.
- 13:03And how does she need to to feel safe enough to be ready and to open?
- 13:08That, you know, also to our our, well, the map of arousal is completely opposite to a man.
- 13:15So our responsibility is understanding having boundaries.
- 13:19It's like, no.
- 13:20Not yet.
- 13:21Or do you know what?
- 13:22I need this first.
- 13:23Or would you I wanna ask you some questions first.
- 13:25Or please, can you slow down?
- 13:26Not clear.
- 13:27Like, you need to slow down.
- 13:28Yes.
- 13:28You can say, please.
- 13:29But it's like, you need to play down.
- 13:31And then if the slowing down is still not enough, being able to keep on placing in more
- 13:35and more boundaries.
- 13:36So the responsibility of understanding what our pleasure looks like, what we need, what do we
- 13:42need?
- 13:43You know?
- 13:44And it's like it's also taking penetration out of the scenario that that solves what we're
- 13:49always going for.
- 13:50Like, this perception that if our body's not ready, we don't want to receive penetration,
- 13:57that it's not, you know, defunctory or just not fair if the man receives honoring and he gets
- 14:04to receive a lot of pleasure and honing honouring through different of us giving in a
- 14:08different way.
- 14:09Like, it's also changing our brain of, like, if if we've kissed a guy, if we've gone out on a
- 14:15date with a guy, if we've said yes to him to being in a house, that doesn't mean our body's
- 14:21accessible to him.
- 14:22It just means the next step.
- 14:24So in responsibility, it's maintaining our boundaries, having our boundaries, also
- 14:29learning about our body and having that curiosity.
- 14:34We it's kind of like being given the keys to a car.
- 14:37I mean, I was raised driving manual cars, but I know a lot of people don't these days.
- 14:42But it's like, you know, someone's not gonna give you if you've always been driving an
- 14:45automatic car, they're not just gonna hand you the keys to their big full drive truck and say,
- 14:51here, take this to the next city with all of my furniture in it.
- 14:54Like, you need to know how to fucking drive the manual.
- 14:56You need to have lessons.
- 14:57You need to so it's the same thing about our body.
- 14:59You know?
- 15:00Yeah.
- 15:01I definitely know, and I think it's so well said.
- 15:03It's like, I think so many times there's almost this, like, obligatory, like, oh, I'm here.
- 15:08I'm naked with this person, and, you know, I'm already in it, so now I have to be in it
- 15:12versus, like, well, there is this, like, not only responsibility, but right, and to say,
- 15:18actually, this is not what I want right now, or I want it slow, or I want it this way.
- 15:22Like, all I think I think we just have gotten to a point sometimes where there's this belief
- 15:26that men are just supposed to, like, automatically, like, know and read our minds
- 15:31and that sort of thing, and it just is not it doesn't work that way.
- 15:36What about orgasm and like
- 15:38Can I just add sorry, darling?
- 15:40I just wanna add to what you're saying about your man.
- 15:42It's like, you know, this thing of expecting a man to know, it's also really fucking unfair.
- 15:48It really is unfair.
- 15:49And the way that men operate in life is they'll just keep going towards something to fix the
- 15:54problem.
- 15:55So I'm not saying that we're a problem, but if you think about that, it's like if you are
- 15:59silent and you're not giving him the map and you're not supporting him, well, problem to fix
- 16:04is making sure there's pleasure or making sure in many men's eyes, it's like there's gotta be
- 16:08an orgasm.
- 16:09So they're gonna keep on doing a plus b equals c, but you're a y and a x and a z and then a w
- 16:15and then a l and give me an s, you know, and he's going, oh, we had to do it.
- 16:18We're not.
- 16:19It's not fair.
- 16:20It's really not fair on him.
- 16:22And many men will just keep on moving through the world doing what they think they know so
- 16:27they get the result that they think they need to operate with.
- 16:31And so, yeah, it's also not not fair on them that way.
- 16:34Yeah.
- 16:35I think it's a really good point, and I think that's where the faking orgasms and all of that
- 16:39just comes into, like, the complication of the matter around, like, oh, if we see as the
- 16:43orgasm and it's a plus b equals, like, a fake orgasm, then it's, like, we're just sending
- 16:48that signal like you're saying, have I and really giving the information to the person
- 16:53that's trying to provide pleasure that it's working.
- 16:56So obviously, we're gonna get this whole thing because No.
- 16:59We're sending the message that a plus b equals c.
- 17:02So it's Yeah.
- 17:03Do you where do
- 17:04you find
- 17:04I'm gonna come back to the orgasm thing in a minute.
- 17:07But where do you find from a standpoint because I know in some of your work, you talk about,
- 17:10like, emasculation.
- 17:12And I look at emasculation as, like, two different parts.
- 17:16Right?
- 17:16I look at as men emasculate themselves and females emasculate men.
- 17:22Right?
- 17:23So it can happen externally or internally.
- 17:25Where do you think that plays?
- 17:27Like, how does that come in with, like, your work in this whole conversation of pleasure?
- 17:31Oh, so much.
- 17:33So much.
- 17:35You know, many men that I work with, they know that they're being emasculated by their woman,
- 17:42yet it's also just they kind of put up with it.
- 17:45So then what that does also is separates the connection so they feel they don't have a
- 17:51place.
- 17:51You know, the woman's, you know, often comes saying, he doesn't do this.
- 17:55He doesn't listen to me.
- 17:56He's not you know, I've told him so many times, and he's like, well, what's worth it?
- 18:00You know, why should I do anything?
- 18:01It's always wrong anyway.
- 18:03So I love Alison Armstrong saying about women's my favorite.
- 18:08Yeah.
- 18:09Women treat men like, you know, misbehaving hairy women.
- 18:12Now this also comes from the space where we're very critical of ourselves, and we women walk
- 18:16through the world criticizing our own breath.
- 18:20We criticize the way that our nose sits on our face.
- 18:23Men don't think that way.
- 18:25So we're going towards the man as if criticism's going to change their behavior, and
- 18:30it doesn't.
- 18:30All it does is, like, well, they'll leave.
- 18:33They'll leave the room.
- 18:34They'll leave for the day.
- 18:36They won't come home early, and that they mentally leave as well.
- 18:39You know, they're kind of shut down.
- 18:41So then also too, it's like once something's problematic, everything feels problematic.
- 18:45So emasculation, when we are doing it to our men, we're actually not on we're needing and we
- 18:53can be criticizing and we're requiring to be really seen as a woman, but we're not seeing
- 18:56them as a man.
- 18:58And so we're wanting something from them that we're not willing to give.
- 19:03And it also brings us to the point where we're mothering.
- 19:06I mean, there's nothing fucking more unsexy than a relationship dynamic that feels like
- 19:12your fucking mother.
- 19:13Excuse my language.
- 19:14And I thought it was actually you know, I went out I have a new lover in my life, and we went
- 19:18out we have a rule.
- 19:20We worked out on our very first date.
- 19:21Do not eat and then try to make love, so we made up a new rule.
- 19:25The first F comes first and then the feeding comes second, so we're going after carcass
- 19:31living in a thing, and I see it all around, all of these women telling their men off for paying
- 19:37at the wrong place, for it was just insane, and I was just watching all of this stuff of, like,
- 19:41how insidious emasculation is.
- 19:43Like, these grown ass men that are obviously in their fifties and sixties.
- 19:47You know, they're on holiday.
- 19:48The children like, these they they have a life.
- 19:51You know?
- 19:51They're they're they're fully fledged adults, and yet the bickering and the start and, of
- 19:56course, it's coming I'm not women we have our own stories of what's happening.
- 19:59I'm not saying he's the most amazing man and she's just annoying.
- 20:02Like, it's also it takes two to tango, but the first thing to to unravel from the female side
- 20:08is how we are masculinating our men and how we're mothering them, which there's no way they
- 20:13wanna come to us.
- 20:14There's no way they're gonna slow their touchdown when it's just like, no.
- 20:18It's gonna be wrong anyway type thing.
- 20:20Yeah.
- 20:21And I think, you know, to add on to that, I think another thing that I learned and Alison
- 20:25is my favorite because she literally changed my entire life with how I approach masculine.
- 20:30And and one of the reasons I'm four years into the most successful relationship of my life is
- 20:36I think so rooted in how much I've studied her work.
- 20:40Mhmm.
- 20:41Because I think it's it's this thing, like, women, we are we do wanna speak up for things
- 20:46that are bothering us, that are maybe creating that emotional distance.
- 20:51But I think we do it, I get Allison's term as a way of, like you say, like, looking at the the
- 20:55man as like a big hairy woman when everything is wired differently about him.
- 21:00So the way he approaches the world, the way he does his focus awareness, like so many things,
- 21:05are just not how we perceive things.
- 21:06So it's not that he's necessarily doing anything wrong, in these thing in these times
- 21:11where we may feel hurt.
- 21:13Maybe he's doing something wrong, but it largely is just, hey, a different perception of
- 21:17the world that if we can come and come at it from this is how I perceive, this is how you
- 21:22perceive, we can be on the same team again without creating that emasculation.
- 21:28I mean, emasculation also comes from where this belief that or the misunderstanding.
- 21:33I mean, what is it?
- 21:34The man, all he wants to do is make his woman happy.
- 21:37Yeah.
- 21:38But when we're emasculating, it was like they they just believe they can't, so they just
- 21:42don't do anything because they would rather not do something if they're gonna get it wrong.
- 21:46Whereas we as women operate very differently.
- 21:48You know, we'll keep fucking up.
- 21:50We'll keep losing.
- 21:50We'll keep we'll do things consistently consistently, but it's just a very different
- 21:54way to how men operate.
- 21:56And so there is this beautiful gift that men bring to the table, which is they just and I
- 22:02tell you what, when a when a man knows that what he does makes his woman happy, it, like I
- 22:08mean, you know, I have this beautiful saying, and I've had a client experience it whereas,
- 22:12you know, when we're learning to speak to a man differently and listen differently, you better
- 22:16be prepared because you're gonna get your man in a way that you thought that you want, so
- 22:21he's gonna give it to you, and you better be ready because he's gonna give you his all, And
- 22:25he will tell you everything.
- 22:27But are you ready?
- 22:29Yeah.
- 22:30I mean, it's like this approach has made me completely fall in love with the masculine,
- 22:34like, just as a general, you know, archetype of just everything that men are in the world, and
- 22:40I did not always feel that way.
- 22:42So I think it's a really it's a really important thing, and and I do think that when
- 22:47we stop doing that and we give up our right in Allison's terms to do that and make it okay,
- 22:53then there is so much more of even approaching the sexual conversation with being on the same
- 22:58same team
- 22:59Yeah.
- 23:00And asking for what we want and need, but doing it in a way where it's like people are
- 23:04empowered and they're, like, happy to show up and they're not feeling belittled and they
- 23:08can't get it right and all these things that you're that you're saying.
- 23:12So Beautiful.
- 23:14What about where do you do you feel like there's any link with emasculation and any
- 23:20ejaculatory problems?
- 23:21Is there have you ever seen that sort of link?
- 23:24Yeah.
- 23:24It's definitely you know, when people say the word erectile dysfunction, I say it's fully
- 23:29functional.
- 23:30Your cock is fully functional.
- 23:32It is telling you something that needs addressing, whether that be physical health,
- 23:37spiritual health, mental health.
- 23:40And I see this I see this with my clients that I work, you know, when they're putting in these
- 23:44beautiful boundaries, like both men and women.
- 23:45So if I'm working with men and where they get to, like, put in boundaries, but also where
- 23:50it's like, okay.
- 23:50Well, what's the message that she's telling you?
- 23:52What are the things that you haven't been doing?
- 23:53Well, where have you been dropping, and where can you ask better questions?
- 23:57I had one client who he was he spent the whole first part of our call expressing all of these
- 24:03things about trying to work out what to do for his beautiful wife.
- 24:07They've got three children, and I leaned in.
- 24:09Like, I I said I asked him, and they've been married.
- 24:11I can't remember how long like, many of their children are seven, so they've been married for
- 24:15a while.
- 24:15And I asked him, I said, have you asked her?
- 24:19He said, oh, no.
- 24:20And I just and I just like I said, sweetheart.
- 24:23I said, you I can't give you the answer.
- 24:26I'm not her.
- 24:26And he goes, but and I said, just ask her.
- 24:29She would love it if you asked her.
- 24:32Yeah.
- 24:32And then what came from all of that is he felt like he had more of a place and he was getting
- 24:36things right.
- 24:37He talked about that.
- 24:38He's like, I he goes, I'm so fucking attracted to her.
- 24:41It's like, win.
- 24:42I get it right.
- 24:43I he's going like, she's receiving me, like, when I put in a boundary.
- 24:47When I've when I've told her I've got her, I've got her.
- 24:50And when she softens, he goes, I just want her more.
- 24:53You know?
- 24:54So that's also looking at where, you know, as you talk about for men emasculating themselves,
- 24:57where they're not asking the right questions and they're not following through or they are
- 25:01sort of in their little boy energy and it's like, well, know, that's, yes, she's speaking
- 25:05to that way because maybe you are acting, you know, their actions are coming from.
- 25:08She's already got children.
- 25:10Especially when we're looking at relationships where there's children, it's like, sweetheart,
- 25:13she's already got So there's that part, you know?
- 25:17But then too, when I'm working with women and they change the way that they speak to their
- 25:21men and the way that they ask questions and the way that they listen and the way that they
- 25:26offer all of the information that the man might need to support them is just like how quick and
- 25:32also too, what I love about men, and this is the big difference Yeah.
- 25:37Is that they let go of things a hell of a lot quicker than we do.
- 25:41Our system hangs on to things.
- 25:43You apologize, and I've I've raised a boy.
- 25:45You know, I had no idea what to do with a boy, and Alison changed my life.
- 25:48That is you know, when he was eight, we lived in Peru, like I talk about it all the time,
- 25:52changed everything.
- 25:54And I know when I would apologize to my kid, you because he was so intense raising as a
- 26:01teenager, I'm hanging on to the fight.
- 26:03I'm hanging on to all of these things.
- 26:05I'm in grief.
- 26:06Once there's an apology, boom.
- 26:08I'm just like, are you sure?
- 26:10So, yeah, I'm fine, mom.
- 26:11I'm fine.
- 26:12And it took it takes a lot to go to believe him.
- 26:15I have to believe him.
- 26:16Yeah.
- 26:16And the reason I'm bringing up my kid is because it was constant, and it was just this
- 26:19constant reminder.
- 26:21So when when we stop emasculating and we start using different language that, you know, we
- 26:27receive our men the way that we want.
- 26:29They want us more.
- 26:30They can come to us more because there's not this thing in the middle that they're sort of
- 26:34deflecting from or moving away from.
- 26:36So, yeah.
- 26:37Yeah.
- 26:37It's not making each other wrong all the time.
- 26:39Yeah.
- 26:40Right?
- 26:40It really changes things so much.
- 26:43Mhmm.
- 26:43So I know I think we should save orgasm for and talk about orgasm here in part two.
- 26:49So I think in part two, let's talk about, you know, why orgasms are so important, but also
- 26:54really talking about about what's happening if, like, if especially a female is not orgasming
- 27:01from penetration with desire mismatch, you know, some of these kinda conversations.
- 27:06So Mhmm.
- 27:07We will do that here in part two.
- 27:10And everybody remember that part two, can access by joining my libido club.
- 27:14So you have links for that in the show notes.
- 27:16And I wanna make sure we wrap up part one, though, with everybody knowing how to get ahold
- 27:21of you.
- 27:21I know you have some really exciting retreats coming up, both a, female, a feminine retreat,
- 27:27well as a couples retreat.
- 27:28So we'll put those information in the show notes.
- 27:30But looking at your, your pages online about them, they just look divine.
- 27:34So can you tell us a little bit about them?
- 27:36Yes.
- 27:37It's so exciting.
- 27:38So I'm going to Europe for the whole month of April and the May.
- 27:42And, actually, there's even there's a few more coming on, but the major ones are in London.
- 27:45So I have an all women's one in London and an all women's one in Romania, and I may be having
- 27:50an all women's one in Spain after next week.
- 27:53But these are two days these are two days workshops, and when I hold retreats here in
- 27:57Mexico, I take care of everything, but because I'm traveling to London, it is, you know, it's
- 28:02a two full days of workshops, and you will, like, need to find your own accommodation and
- 28:05stuff like that, but we'll be together for two full days.
- 28:08And it's really around bringing safety in the feminine body to open into our own arousal and
- 28:13to really bring in, you know, these parts of ourselves that understand where how pleasure
- 28:16arises.
- 28:17So there's lots of somatic practices.
- 28:19There's a lot of beauty you know, we'll be doing rage rituals, all of these things that,
- 28:23you know, bring that allow our system to be free to experience pleasure.
- 28:27And then the couples one, I'm cocreating with an incredible, incredible colleague of mine,
- 28:32Alex.
- 28:33We've been working together, like, through many different iterations over the last three years.
- 28:37So it's so exciting that we're gonna be coming together in London and really bringing this
- 28:42aspect of ravishing your partner.
- 28:44So that's gonna be really delicious and sexy.
- 28:47Yes.
- 28:48Sounds delicious.
- 28:49And I I wanna just name for everybody this, you know, with the female retreat and the focus of
- 28:54one of the points to learn on safety that when you know, as as studying sexology continually,
- 29:01one of the things that I continually come back to is that I think safety is one of the key.
- 29:07There's several keys, not the only key, but one of the top key fundamental things that really
- 29:12allow the female to experience pleasure.
- 29:16And I think there's so many layer.
- 29:19I mean, what I've discovered myself is, like, layer upon layer upon layer upon layer of of
- 29:24blocks that have a lot to do oftentimes with safety.
- 29:27And every time I get to a layer and I uncover another layer and I work through another layer
- 29:31subconsciously, pleasure and orgasms and everything just, like, everything just levels
- 29:36up.
- 29:37So I think it's a really important thing, from a standpoint of pleasure, physical, emotional,
- 29:43spiritual, all of that health and really unlocking that which what, holds us back from
- 29:49experiencing that.
- 29:50So I just really wanted to name that because I think it's a really powerful thing about what
- 29:53you're offering.
- 29:55Thank you.
- 29:55Yeah.
- 29:56Yeah.
- 29:56I think safety is often also sort of cornered as like, oh, I'm safe.
- 30:00Like, something is not gonna physically happen to me, but safety is so much deeper than that.
- 30:06Am I safe that, you know, I'm not gonna be abandoned, like, after I have the orgasm?
- 30:10And they also talk about that where they've done studies in the brain where when they've
- 30:14looked at the brain when a woman's in full deep, what we call the g spot, but her sacred
- 30:19area orgasm and cervical orgasms, her whole brain is lit up except for two parts, and that
- 30:25one part is like feeling safe.
- 30:27Safety is like, is my heart safe?
- 30:29Are my emotions safe?
- 30:31Am I safe to be fully me where it doesn't matter what I look like, I've got snot coming
- 30:35out of my nose and jacked with a piss coming out of everything, and I'm gonna be Jarvis.
- 30:41Yeah.
- 30:42So, yeah, so deeply.
- 30:44It's it's what we need.
- 30:45End of story.
- 30:47It really is.
- 30:47It really is.
- 30:48So everybody go check out her work.
