Ep 12 Pillow Fort Sessions | Unleashing Inner Beasts: The Untamed World of Primal Play in BDSM · Around the Kinky Kampfire Podcast

• 0:46
  Speaker 1: Welcome back everybody.
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: This is your.
• 0:55
Speaker 1: You can come up with a weird name, but it's, you know, regular.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: Oh, call me no Jigolo, taco Knuckle, sir McFluffy Pants, colonel McBee, general Major McBee, whatever it was.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: But you can officially call me Julius H H.
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: Julius, his happiness.
• 1:25
Speaker 1: Julius here with another pillow fort session for you, and officially this is around the Kinky Campfire.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: The pillow fort sessions are a little short half hour sessions.
• 1:37
Speaker 1: I like to specifically dig down into a topic and go from there and then, yeah, it's usually something that just was on my mind and I wanted to talk about it more.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: But we are here now and I'm going to talk about a specific topic and that topic is one of the things that I personally identify with my number one identity out of everything.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: It's something that peripherates, overflows, crisscrosses, vin diagram, mixes in with pretty much everything I do, everything I am.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: You could say it's just like one of my cultures.
• 2:15
Speaker 1: I think I'm going to do a series here of my different identities, especially the ones that just kind of are always there, no matter what I'm in, what headspace I'm in, what community I'm in what house.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: I don't even know place specifically, but everybody knows it.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: For the most part, they know anything about me and y'all already know that Big Geek, big into King Kong, bdsm and Big Polly Person, but this one is definitely deep down ancestrally within me and that is primal Primalism.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: Primal practices, primal play, all that stuff.
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: I'm 100% primal.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: If anybody knows me or even has any kind of interaction with me on that kind of level, they know primal is going to come out somewhere and it's going to be in pretty much every scene that I'm in, every private session and I am all those different things.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: And that's a topic that even with my research was very hard to dig down into, because people ask all the time what exactly is primal?
• 3:22
Speaker 1: What does it mean to you?
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Because they see it on profile or an about me section related to me and I always know what it is for myself.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: But in general, how do you figure out if you're primal or not?
• 3:35
Speaker 1: And y'all know Campsters and I'm a big redditor and I am also on the primal Reddit and it's kind of interesting because if you know anything about Reddit and any of the subreddits that are always, there's always that question am I this?
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: Am I demisexual?
• 3:53
Speaker 1: How do I know I'm polyamorous?
• 3:56
Speaker 1: How do I know if I'm okay with nonmonogamy.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: My partner wants to do this, and how do I help them?
• 4:01
Speaker 1: How do I have this relationship with this person?
• 4:04
Speaker 1: And as always you'll see later on, with all the different identities that I associate with it, this question is always going to come up and it's the same thing in the primal subreddit, because there's not, I don't know, any other man.
• 4:17
Speaker 1: It's really tough for me to even think now, because I keep bringing up Reddit all the time.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: I'm like where else can people ask these questions and find a community of people that know?
• 4:25
Speaker 1: An answer Doesn't even have to be right, it's just.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: You know, personal experience is especially, I would have to say well, experience versus like intellectual training.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: I mean, I can't say which one's better or worse, I just know.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: For me, I appreciate experiences.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: I will live through people's experiences because I've said it multiple times before, for example, I don't want to have kids, but I've.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: You know, I'm from a community where there's people pregnant, people in my class in high school.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: I live through those people's experience.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: That's why I was like I just know from experience.
• 4:59
Speaker 1: I don't want to deal with that.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: So anything I learned throughout my life, I do my research and one of those things is definitely digging down in somebody's experiences and from the experiences that I see, from the people that I've come across that were primal and you know I wasn't always a Redditor, reddit kind of just confirmed a lot of things for me, but I knew I was primal before.
• 5:18
Speaker 1: Even that All the experiences I came across was primal is definitely something that permeates within me and it's like, oh, this is the reason why I do those things and like all those things, very food motivated.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: If y'all don't know, julius likes his food and his cookies.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: You can tempt me in with a pie.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: I will go down the little brick road If you, you know, put the little gummies out there.
• 5:40
Speaker 1: Honsul and Gretel aren't the only ones that you know got tempted to the house and probably thrown in over and eating.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: I would yeah, that'd be me.
• 5:47
Speaker 1: I'd call right in that oven if there's a good apple crumb cake in there or some cookies and cream and ice cream.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, right there.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Julius loves his sweets.
• 5:57
Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm going to try and of course I will love, willingly and enthusiastically talk about this subject over and over again.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: So for now, early 2024, trying to define exactly what primal is and of course, is very subjective, but as for what I've seen in general from the research I've found, I've started to do statistically, factually, as much as I can what primal exactly is.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: For those people that don't know and are questioning, maybe I'm this Okay.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: So basically, if you identify as primal, you are more than likely human and you have some kind of animalistic, animalistic tendencies.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: Now the official definition that I found is that primal is basically feelings that are like the feelings of animals and that seem to come from a part of human nature that existed since ancient times.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: That is very, very vague.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: So what the heck does that even mean?
• 7:00
Speaker 1: I'm going to try to take the next 30 minutes or so to hopefully explain what that definition meant.
• 7:05
Speaker 1: I saw that definition and I went to a few sites and of course, I'm not going to be done researching this.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: I just kind of did a little stopping point for right now because it was like I'm going nowhere really quickly.
• 7:18
Speaker 1: I was on that treadmill and I was just running really fast and not going anywhere.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: So let's see here, let's see if we can do this, let's see.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: So we are definitely a kinky, bdsm minded podcast.
• 7:31
Speaker 1: So the kink part of the primal play thing is it involves becoming animalistic during sex.
• 7:38
Speaker 1: So sex is not just sex, I know.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: For me especially, it is more mating.
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: So it's a mating.
• 7:49
Speaker 1: There's a mating aspect of sex for primal people like myself.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: I don't even know how to explain that for people that don't understand, but it's definitely a mating ritual, even if you're somebody like me that doesn't want to have kids.
• 8:07
Speaker 1: So the procreation part of the mating is not happening.
• 8:11
Speaker 1: It's like fake, faux mating, that part of it.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: But there's a difference between sex and mating there.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: If you know what I'm talking about, I don't know how to explain that one.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: So this is why this is.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: This whole subject is tough and the mating sex can include scratching, biting, manhandling and animalistic noises like growling, and then usually there's primal hunters and or prey.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: So with most of the slash roles that we have in the community, of course you can always switch back and forth if you want to, or you can stay to one side of the slash that you identify with.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: So that's definitely one of the roles that's out there and our great website.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: All hail to that life.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: That is one of the ones that's been on there the longest time.
• 9:01
Speaker 1: I don't know if anybody's been on there in the last year or so.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: But they've added a lot of different roles primal prey and primal hunter was one of them that was on there for the longest time.
• 9:10
Speaker 1: So it's one of the old-school quote-unquote ones.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: So King is a little bit easier to explain.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: So, yeah, there's, there's biting and scratching and stuff like that and people you know manhandling.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: So that's non-gender specific, that's just man as, like human person.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: If you like the rougher sex, you you've probably been manhandled at some point in the middle of that and that's a little bit different than the rougher sex.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: This is this is very much prone position mounting, those kind of things.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: So mounting mating, prone animalistic.
• 9:47
Speaker 1: And I would argue that it doesn't just have to be doggie style because of course you know animals in nature.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: That's pretty much all they can do, four-legged animals very much.
• 9:58
Speaker 1: You know the primal animalistic part of it.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: But yeah, you can, you can do it in like missionary inside and everything like there's a lot of different ways to mount somebody.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: Oh, trust me, I like them all.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: So yeah, um, so let's see here.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, you can do it from the bottom to just.
• 10:15
Speaker 1: So you, I mean campsters you have a question kinky campsters at IG and also, you know, around the kinky campfire at Yahoo, send your questions.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's different, there's all kinds of ways and for sure the people on the primal Reddit and they know let's see here another definition uses spiritual, a metaphorical connection to an animal or other entity to express their primal instincts.
• 10:42
Speaker 1: Like is their worldview to that of their animal slash entity.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Okay, so this is where, kind of where the world's collide, because if you into like put, play, put, play, put play, pet play and the foe, foe or font or the furry community, you kind of take it to a different level rather than just kind of doing the play part of it, you kind of believe you resonate with the animal.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: Like I'm definitely one of the humans with wolf tendencies.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: So the pack mentality, the alpha, the beta and the sigma, all that stuff, yeah, I very much relate to that.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: So I fully believe there's like a wolf within me, like for real.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: If you see my group associations there's, there's a group on on FetLife that has that we really believe we're a wolf in sheep's clothing, human skin.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: I'm definitely one of those people and like I was an avid animal planet watcher.
• 11:51
Speaker 1: So any any show where somebody was training, doing some kind of training animal or animal, dog, cat, whatever that's.
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: Yep, definitely, that's.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, all that stuff, definitely yeah, watch a couple of those shows and I'm ready to go.
• 12:06
Speaker 1: This is you running naked in the woods getting chased down, mounted, all that stuff.
• 12:10
Speaker 1: Definitely write up Julius's alley, all that.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: And I didn't understand what was going on until I came into primal.
• 12:17
Speaker 1: So let's see, here we go.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: Another definition someone who enjoys getting into a primal state of being or mind, where a person tends to behave in rough or animalistic ways.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: Desire or preference for sexual activity that allows the participants to connect with their more most animalistic or primal selves.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: Oh, style of BDSM that focuses on raw feelings and actions that are evoked by natural impulses and urges.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: So that's where the kink goes into the BDSM aspect, because you have raw feelings and actions.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: So that's definitely more into the, the primal, as in like an anthropological, anthropological standpoint, you're going back to your pre-homosapien, natural ways, things.
• 13:02
Speaker 1: You're gonna go catch the person, bonk them over the head and drag them back to the cave, that kind of thing.
• 13:06
Speaker 1: There's people that like to give and receive.
• 13:09
Speaker 1: That pursuit, take down and capture is that kid?
• 13:12
Speaker 1: That is definitely one of the plays that drifts over into the primal thing there.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: You can plan that out, do it consensually and safely.
• 13:20
Speaker 1: Campers there there are scenes I've seen that getting chased in the woods and drag back to the tent.
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: That's.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: That's a thing that I'm not just saying primals can do it, but that's definitely one of the things you do.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: You happens when you're doing a primal hunt.
• 13:36
Speaker 1: I tell you that, and then camping trip and all that.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: So yeah, that's, that's in there.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: Oh, and before we go, after we, it's okay.
• 13:45
Speaker 1: We kind of went over the definitions.
• 13:47
Speaker 1: I'm kind of going over them kind of quickly because they're very unrelatable unless you know it's like experientially what I'm talking about.
• 13:58
Speaker 1: If you're a newbie to this particular kink lifestyle, whatever it is identity, personality, trait there it's hard to explain.
• 14:09
Speaker 1: So I'm gonna give some examples before I do.
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: I forgot that.
• 14:11
Speaker 1: I forgot all the business stuff, so I'll just do it.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: Right now we are around the kinky campfire.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: Right now it's just Julius here with the pillow fort sessions.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: So the regular group episodes will come out every second and fourth Thursdays of the month, most of the time, and I'll do these pillow fort sections in in between Thursdays when I get to do them.
• 14:34
Speaker 1: This is officially the first one of 2024.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: Hopefully I will start doing them more often.
• 14:40
Speaker 1: This is my chance to practice for classes I'd like to teach Along with the specific digging down in the very specific topics.
• 14:48
Speaker 1: I like to be very Factual and statistical with my my talks here, would like to do more research, especially on stuff like this.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: But yeah, there's not a lot of tests and surveys and stuff for the primal.
• 15:00
Speaker 1: But I would like to know that and hopefully I'll delve deeper into that in a later episode.
• 15:06
Speaker 1: Actually, I should be drinking something right now, but I'm not.
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: Shame on me.
• 15:11
Speaker 1: I Will correct that in the next official Around the kinky campfire episode, but this time I'm just keeping it dry While I talk about this.
• 15:22
Speaker 1: I think the identities, especially the ones that I identify with more, I'm definitely going to probably be not drinking as much because I'm already excited to talk about this kind of things.
• 15:33
Speaker 1: And as I was writing up this primal Notes, cliff notes here I was like, oh man, I'm ready to talk about this, this, this will get me going because, yeah, the, the solo sessions are a little bit harder than the, the normal ones when I'm Vollying back on and off with somebody else, so trying to get into the mood of it and also developing of the classes.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to get up, you got to get out there and get the thing done.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: So sticking with stuff that I personally identify with is a little bit easier.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: But no drinking on this one.
• 16:05
Speaker 1: But yeah, I probably bring it back.
• 16:07
Speaker 1: So I apologize to the fans and enjoy the ASMR 30 seconds.
• 16:11
Speaker 1: Don't worry, it's only a little blip on the radar, nothing to worry about.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: Just keep moving along and then they'll be back before you know it.
• 16:19
Speaker 1: Okay, so we officially did the Explanation, we did a couple C, c, a, t's or CTA's, I should say, and we got the intro in there.
• 16:29
Speaker 1: So let's talk about types of play, some of the specific roles, and then Some technicalities or talking points.
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: At the end.
• 16:44
Speaker 1: Hopefully you'll consider what I'm thinking here, because I'm definitely want to get philosophical with some of these things.
• 16:51
Speaker 1: If it's, we're talking about Identities, like where do they come from, that type of thing.
• 16:54
Speaker 1: So I talked about some types of play already.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: So you have scratching, biting, animalistic noises.
• 17:00
Speaker 1: What else did I say?
• 17:01
Speaker 1: Man handling, person handling, whatever, and then also you can do like hair pulling, grunts, growling already said wrestling is a big thing, pinning and mounting is a big thing.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: So it's Not so much an ownership thing, so it's not like a DS type deal.
• 17:21
Speaker 1: So I don't even know how you do power exchange with that, because in power exchange that's like you're giving up control, and with primals a little bit different, because you're taking control Still consensual, which is strange.
• 17:34
Speaker 1: But yeah it, you're.
• 17:36
Speaker 1: It's a wrestling match, so you're the, the prey is trying to quote unquote, get away.
• 17:42
Speaker 1: So it's not quite right.
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: Play.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: If you see animals wrestling or if you own an pet the cat or dog or something you see how they play they, you know they.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: There's somebody on top and someone on bottom and there's a submission thing going on.
• 17:58
Speaker 1: So it's submitting in the Animal plant, like the animal planet wave versus the BDSM dynamic way.
• 18:07
  Speaker 1: I feel like there's a more.
• 18:10
Speaker 1: How do you, how do you say that there's a more conscious thing, like, oh, I have a dominant and I've chosen to submit to them, versus this person Physically overpowered me and they're on top of me now, but it doesn't have to be somebody that's actually bigger than you.
• 18:25
Speaker 1: This is a personality trait.
• 18:27
Speaker 1: So that's the part that's really hard to understand, because there's an animalistic.
• 18:31
Speaker 1: This person is trying to make you submit with their quote-unquote physical, not in quotes personality dominance.
• 18:41
Speaker 1: So that part is really hard to explain.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: I'm going to have to talk about that multiple times.
• 18:46
Speaker 1: But yeah, it's the mating versus the sex part of it.
• 18:50
  Speaker 1: There's there's a there's a structural difference between it.
• 18:53
Speaker 1: So unless you actually experienced it from an actual primal person, it's hard to explain.
• 18:59
Speaker 1: Also, there was the people that just kind of resonate with being primal.
• 19:03
Speaker 1: So there's those of us that were doing these things and not even realizing it and had these traits.
• 19:09
Speaker 1: Pretty much is I know for me, as far as I can remember.
• 19:14
Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, everybody doesn't do this.
• 19:17
Speaker 1: It's like people don't have sex this way, like what the heck is going on.
• 19:20
Speaker 1: I was like, oh, okay, I see what it is.
• 19:23
Speaker 1: So, yeah, this is very interesting as somebody that dates all many different types and being polyamorous, like every relationship is not gonna be the same.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: So sometimes it's just gonna be a straight DS dynamic, Some is gonna be MS dynamic, some is gonna be more primal than the others and some people just like to, you know, or just end up being just play partners with no sexual aspect in there.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: So it scales for partners and for me, I don't need to be with somebody that attaches themselves to a specific role, especially being a switch.
• 19:58
Speaker 1: The demisexual part and I'll talk about that as well, because apparently the aspectrum is very popular nowadays.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: Asexuality in general is becoming more and more common.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: I just know I've seen like podcasts and videos on asexual stuff from non-ace people trying to talk about it and it's like interesting.
• 20:16
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: So this is what kind of inspired me to have this discussion about identities, and demisexuality is going to be one of those things.
• 20:24
Speaker 1: So for me it's the demisexual part, but then when we actually get down to business, it's the primal part that comes out.
• 20:31
Speaker 1: If I have a partner that I'm attached to, then it's gonna be very much I'm going to pursue you and in very rare cases, allow somebody to pursue me.
• 20:41
Speaker 1: Okay, so we talked about the types of play, depending mounting, man handling and then also the hunts, and I said the pursuit, take down and capture.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: So that's pretty much how quoting, quote unquote dating is.
• 20:56
Speaker 1: It's a hunt, as somebody, that permeates the primal part of it.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: When I'm out I was about to say the PUA Sarging thing when I'm out relaxing at a bar or club or something like that, for me, if I'm talking to people and I see somebody that's attractive, that's a hunt going on.
• 21:18
Speaker 1: So it's hard for me to reel that back and I just recently realized that I do that when I'm out Like it's a hunt going on.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: It's like not everybody consented to this.
• 21:28
Speaker 1: So I should probably reel this back in and then just try to be social Cause on a regular I should say regular basis.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: It happens, it's not regular.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: I wanna see out there slaying him a dick all over the place.
• 21:41
Speaker 1: But I find partners that like they understand the primal thing Like I'm going to try to, oh, devouring.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: That's another thing too.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: It's not even like a cannibalistic type thing.
• 23:14
Speaker 1: It's like, yes, mouth stuff biting and sucking and licking and all that stuff is a thing with primal, but it's not like I'm trying to consume them.
• 23:25
Speaker 1: I forgot the people that like to be.
• 23:29
Speaker 1: There's the filia where people like to be ingested or swallowed.
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: It's not that.
• 23:35
Speaker 1: It's more like you're trying to press your body into the other person.
• 23:38
  Speaker 1: That's the devouring.
• 23:41
Speaker 1: That's kind of is you're trying to like absorb them to osmosis.
• 23:44
Speaker 1: That's more what it is.
• 23:47
Speaker 1: I hope everybody understands what I'm talking about.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure the primals understand it as well.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: You're not trying to eat the person, you're trying to devour them through the skin, like smashing into them multiple times until you're like one being.
• 24:01
Speaker 1: That's the devouring part of it.
• 24:04
Speaker 1: So, yeah, when I go out, it's I'm trying to devour somebody, if I see somebody I find attractive, and then I ask them a bunch of questions like an interview why are you doing the things you do?
• 24:15
Speaker 1: Why did you wear those shoes?
• 24:17
Speaker 1: And yeah, that's the demisexual part coming out.
• 24:18
Speaker 1: But once that's all clear and I'm good to go there, it's like I'm going to hunt you and take you.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: So, oh man, I came across this next part, so we've already done types of play.
• 24:30
Speaker 1: So now I am talking about roles, and there's a lot more roles than I actually thought there were, because I thought it was just predator, hunter and prey.
• 24:38
Speaker 1: But there are a little bit more and I say a lot with.
• 24:40
Speaker 1: There's only, like you know, 10, 10, 10, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, okay, like eight, eight other roles associated with the primal stuff.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: And then you know, y'all, let me know if you agree or disagree with it and we can discuss further.
• 24:55
Speaker 1: I'm not really here to change your mind, I'm just letting you know that these are a thing, so the main ones primal, predatory, hunter.
• 25:03
Speaker 1: So they kind of went away.
• 25:06
Speaker 1: If people that have been primal for a while, know anything that the you know roles.
• 25:10
Speaker 1: Well, I should say just an alternative lifestyle all the time, like we don't say sapiosexual anymore and primal predator, we really don't say it's primal hunter, because you know you have the pedos out there.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: So the predator kind of got taken out.
• 25:24
Speaker 1: So primal hunter now, just so y'all know more PC term is the, the capturer, the attacker, the consumer, the grappler, the one doing the pursuing and capturing, is usually the primal hunter.
• 25:41
Speaker 1: The prey is the one running away, trying to escape, and then when they get close they fight and they're the consumed.
• 25:50
Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm getting distracted to think about this.
• 25:54
Speaker 1: But yes, the prey, they're the ones that run.
• 25:58
Speaker 1: Don't run, if anybody knows anything about dog training.
• 26:02
Speaker 1: When they tell you you see a dog that likes to jump, do not back away from them.
• 26:06
Speaker 1: This is like real life here and it's just the same with primals.
• 26:09
Speaker 1: Do not back away unless you wanna be chased.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: If you have a dog that is aggressively trying to hump you or jump on you, you move forward.
• 26:16
  Speaker 1: Stop backing up.
• 26:17
Speaker 1: When they do that, I don't care if the dog's bigger than you or ways more than you are.
• 26:21
Speaker 1: You go into that dog, you make them submit.
• 26:23
Speaker 1: That's like a real life tangent that I went on.
• 26:26
Speaker 1: It drives me crazy when people back up when they're scared of a dog.
• 26:29
Speaker 1: No, you attack that dog, you make them submit.
• 26:32
Speaker 1: They're just gonna keep jumping and chasing after you and trying to hump you.
• 26:35
  Speaker 1: That's a primal thing.
• 26:37
Speaker 1: They're trying to dominate you and not in the DS kind of way.
• 26:42
Speaker 1: They're trying to dominate you and make you their bitch.
• 26:45
Speaker 1: That's literally what it is.
• 26:47
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 26:49
Speaker 1: So, yeah, prey runs basically, and then you have an animal attachment.
• 26:53
Speaker 1: So people like me have a spiritual animal.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: Mine is the wolf, some people deer.
• 26:58
Speaker 1: You can have foxes, you can have sheep, you can have cow, horses, ponies, dogs, cats all those different things can go into the primal.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: Yes, some of it is furry play, some of it is pet play.
• 27:12
Speaker 1: If you see, that's another deep dive I need to know.
• 27:16
Speaker 1: But basically, if you have pet play and then like furry tendencies is not quite primal.
• 27:23
Speaker 1: That's kind of like a role you play versus like more so your actions that you do Cause, yeah, there's not, there's like mounting and stuff and wrestling with them, but it's more like the play, wrestling, I guess, use, I don't know how to differentiate, exactly how to phrase that.
• 27:40
Speaker 1: But yeah, there's a difference there.
• 27:42
Speaker 1: So you, when you have a spiritual connection with an animal that's more like you are that thing, and especially with the primal part of it, it's the alpha and the beta of it, so the dominance thing, so yeah.
• 28:02
Speaker 1: And then of course, there's shifters, so people that have multiple animals, depending on the day.
• 28:06
Speaker 1: What you identify with.
• 28:07
Speaker 1: You know you can shift.
• 28:08
  Speaker 1: Everybody's a grown adult.
• 28:10
Speaker 1: Hopefully you're doing all the BSM stuff.
• 28:12
Speaker 1: Please remember it's 18 plus, so in America, 18 plus.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: Hopefully you're listening to this.
• 28:18
Speaker 1: This is an adult conversation.
• 28:20
Speaker 1: Make sure you're speaking with people that know that are of legal age and doing this stuff with.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: But everybody's an adult.
• 28:28
Speaker 1: You can identify with something, you get new information, you realize you're this, this is how this is, or you know you are this way, like myself all this time and didn't know what it was and like, oh, that's what it is.
• 28:41
Speaker 1: There's an actual name for this and I know some people don't like labels, but I like a good jumping off point and everybody that I hope has anything to do with this podcast kind of you know, is open to everybody's different opinions, but you like to be very factual and educational on this podcast, so there's a good jumping off point.
• 28:59
Speaker 1: So you might not agree with the labels or using labels in general, but hey, now you're aware of them, let's see so shifter.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: Then you have like pups and cubs.
• 29:09
Speaker 1: That kind of goes more into the little aspect regression and age play, if you would choose to include that as well.
• 29:16
Speaker 1: And then you have feral's which kind of go into the loss of control.
• 29:21
Speaker 1: I don't know how I feel about that one Cause.
• 29:23
Speaker 1: How do you like it's like quote loss of control, unquote.
• 29:29
Speaker 1: So I haven't really looked into that one as much, but that one's in there.
• 29:31
  Speaker 1: That's a role.
• 29:33
Speaker 1: Then you have like pucks and tribes, basically a group of bonded primals.
• 29:39
Speaker 1: You'll see that as a I can't remember who it was, orientation or something like that no, group affiliate, no.
• 29:47
Speaker 1: So you have houses and packs on on FetLife.
• 29:50
  Speaker 1: That's a thing, that's been a thing for a long time, so a lot.
• 29:53
Speaker 1: If you see something that says pack of that's more on the primal side as far as FetLife is concerned, so that's, that's where that comes from, that's.
• 30:02
Speaker 1: If you see that, then you're probably dealing with a primal person or they just have like deep family bonds with the people that they are associated with.
• 30:09
Speaker 1: But, yeah, that has a little bit to do with it.
• 30:13
Speaker 1: And then you have the different roles the alpha, beta, omega.
• 30:16
Speaker 1: So the alpha is the one that is the leader of the pack or relationship, whatever you want to associate yourself with.
• 30:25
Speaker 1: The beta is second to the alpha.
• 30:27
Speaker 1: So basically they're the ones running said pack, house, whatever.
• 30:32
Speaker 1: It is going off of what the alpha says.
• 30:35
Speaker 1: And then you have the omegas.
• 30:37
Speaker 1: Those are the ones doing the following in the house, pack, whatever.
• 30:42
Speaker 1: So these are just terms that I found.
• 30:44
Speaker 1: Please do not hold them as scripture, as absolute fact, whatever.
• 30:50
Speaker 1: Take what you want from them and apply them as you feel so fit to.
• 30:56
Speaker 1: Once again, around the Kiki Campfire, we educate through awareness.
• 31:00
Speaker 1: So I just want everybody to know we are putting the information out there.
• 31:03
Speaker 1: We do not associate ourselves with these specific facts and or opinions.
• 31:07
Speaker 1: We just have them.
• 31:08
Speaker 1: Okay, we do our research, we have emotions and I like to talk about it.
• 31:11
Speaker 1: So hopefully that's why you're here not to listen to us.
• 31:15
Speaker 1: Just talk about whatever we want to like.
• 31:17
Speaker 1: We know what we're doing.
• 31:18
Speaker 1: Not official, we don't have any degrees or certifications, we just live this way.
• 31:25
Speaker 1: And then, lastly, I want to get a little bit philosophical with y'all here as we approach the 30 minute mark.
• 31:32
Speaker 1: Do y'all Kingster, campsters, kingsters too, campsters believe from your experience or what you've researched on your own, is this a born trait or is it a learned trait?
• 31:46
Speaker 1: Can you learn to be primal?
• 31:47
Speaker 1: A lot of the identity, identities that I see on Reddit, more specifically, and then also sometimes on FetLife, people ask am I this?
• 31:59
Speaker 1: Like I said at the beginning of this episode, don't know if you can just learn how to be that and this is my personal opinion.
• 32:06
Speaker 1: So you know, don't say don't, don't quote.
• 32:08
Speaker 1: I mean you can quote me on this because it's my opinion, but don't take it as fact that you kind of just are this way.
• 32:15
Speaker 1: I Mean you can try to be Primal, just like you can try to be a dominant, but people are not gonna, you know, just because you say I'm a top or I'm a dominant, that really doesn't mean anything.
• 32:26
Speaker 1: You have to, you know, show with your actions and your attitude.
• 32:29
Speaker 1: So, yeah, that's why I wonder, for me it's definitely a born trade, this is it's, it's not an environment thing.
• 32:37
Speaker 1: So that's, you're born this way and then you discover it later, that type of thing, um, and also, I believe, you, it can be applied to any lifestyle.
• 32:46
Speaker 1: So, you know, discuss it with me further if you, you feel differently.
• 32:51
Speaker 1: Um, I believe all these different actions like mating is, you know, I mean that's hey, that's half the reason why we're here.
• 32:58
Speaker 1: Okay, that's the kink part that mating is that, that's what it is.
• 33:01
Speaker 1: That's different than sex or rough sex or just fucking.
• 33:04
  Speaker 1: It's mating.
• 33:05
  Speaker 1: It's different.
• 33:06
Speaker 1: There's a whole other category that y'all will Um, may not have known.
• 33:09
Speaker 1: No, here it is.
• 33:10
Speaker 1: I'm telling you now.
• 33:11
Speaker 1: There's another category mating, um, and it also doesn't have to be physical.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: So there's there's nonverbal communication going on there.
• 33:19
Speaker 1: There's, you know, like, just like a cat, when it gets scared, the hair stands up on end that there's a kind of thing there when you get excited.
• 33:27
Speaker 1: We don't have tails anymore Apparently we used to.
• 33:29
Speaker 1: But yeah, um, just you can't.
• 33:32
Speaker 1: Just because you have a dog or a cat and it's wagging its tail doesn't mean it's happy all the time, that's.
• 33:36
Speaker 1: You know, they give me anxious tail wag or it's stuck between their legs.
• 33:39
Speaker 1: I believe, as human beings, even without tails, you can kind of manifest that without, without a tail.
• 33:45
Speaker 1: So, yeah, and it's any gender Please remember this is not gender specific.
• 33:50
Speaker 1: So, just because you have a bigger body, which is, on average, you were born male.
• 33:55
Speaker 1: It's just statistical facts.
• 33:57
Speaker 1: Um, that does not mean you are automatically the alpha, as I said Probably midway through this episode.
• 34:04
Speaker 1: I think it is a personality trait.
• 34:07
Speaker 1: There are ways to be dumb, domineering, dominant Well, is the difference between Dom and Dominating as an alpha?
• 34:20
  Speaker 1: There's a difference there.
• 34:22
Speaker 1: But just because you are smaller in body does not mean you are automatically an omega or beta.
• 34:27
Speaker 1: I have no problem submitting to an alpha that is half my size.
• 34:31
Speaker 1: They bring it that way, um, and it's also could possibly, could possibly be centuries old, um.
• 34:41
Speaker 1: I haven't seen anywhere where the quote-unquote primal hunts, um began, so this could have been going on a long time and, uh, as we know, back in the days of the vikings and the, the mongolians, they was raping and pillaging Um, that kind of thing.
• 34:56
Speaker 1: So they were doing it non-consensually.
• 34:58
Speaker 1: Now, in days, we I will say this Very generically we do this with consent, um, okay, we all know the actual reality.
• 35:09
Speaker 1: But here, in this world of around the king he can fire, we do it with consent and we negotiate often, um, so consensually.
• 35:17
Speaker 1: I'm all for a replay with the proper negotiation and With the, the prick standards, personally responsible, informed consensual kink.
• 35:28
Speaker 1: I'm all for a replay and hey, that can.
• 35:32
Speaker 1: That can primals there's plenty of primal stuff you can do there, um, with a consenting adult, um.
• 35:38
Speaker 1: So yeah, that's pretty much it for now.
• 35:42
Speaker 1: Uh, I could really go deep dive into the field's philosophical point with, like, modern technology dulling our instincts, um, but yeah, that's probably a whole another podcast there with that whole thing.
• 35:52
Speaker 1: I feel like I could even talk to more vanilla crowd about that kind of stuff.
• 35:56
Speaker 1: But yeah, I in general believe that the, the use of technology, especially with the AI man, we're losing our personal instincts here.
• 36:04
Speaker 1: We're just kind of letting technologies do it for, do it for us.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: So that's very sad.
• 36:11
  Speaker 1: As a?
• 36:11
Speaker 1: Um animalistic, um, old school human, I want to say caveman instincts.
• 36:20
Speaker 1: But the primal hunter is still there, going out in the woods and just like chasing down a, a, a grizzly bear, um, taking it down my hands.
• 36:29
  Speaker 1: That's, yeah, that's, that's still.
• 36:30
Speaker 1: That's still in there.
• 36:31
Speaker 1: I feel it deep down inside, um, but yeah, uh, uh, that would be an interesting topic.
• 36:37
Speaker 1: I don't know, y'all let me know, but for now, this is Julius.
• 36:41
Speaker 1: This has been pillow fort sessions for around the kinky campfire.
• 36:45
Speaker 1: Regular apps are sold there every second and fourth thursdays of the month, most of the time, and it's available on all your modern um common podcast apps, spotify, itunes, amazon, yada, yada, yada, um.
• 37:02
Speaker 1: And these pillow fort sessions will be, uh, in between the second and fourth thursdays.
• 37:07
Speaker 1: I'd like to do them more often.
• 37:09
Speaker 1: Tell me what you think.
• 37:10
Speaker 1: We are on IG, the instagram at campfire kinksters that's campfire with a k, around the kinky campfire with a k, um, but for now, this is primal part one of 252.
• 37:23
Speaker 1: Probably, I don't know, I'll talk about this again in a few months, probably, but uh, for now, next time you hear from me solo wise Julius, it will be more on identities and we'll see which one comes up next poly, demisexual, geek, something like that, uh, but that's it, hello.
