- 0:00You have arrived. Welcome to the Aspy world.
- 0:04Here's where we talk about anything and everything ASD in
- 0:07an upbeat and informative way. And now here's your man on the
- 0:11spectrum, your autism ambassador, Daniel Morgan Jones.
- 0:19What I'm getting at is that we don't actually have problems in
- 0:21life. We have potential towards
- 0:23solutions. Guys, what's going on?
- 0:25It's early morning here and I'm driving to an event, kind of a,
- 0:30not an event, more like a I'm basically going to a facility so
- 0:36they can film me, playing a video game and interviewing me.
- 0:39I don't know. Anyway, if I take long for the
- 0:42ride, let's go. All right.
- 0:55OK, guys, so I'm at the venue. Well, actually the venue's
- 0:58behind me here and I'm a little bit early.
- 1:00It's supposed to be at 10:30 and it's now 10:15 or 10:14 and
- 1:05supposed to be at 10:30. For all the Americans who don't
- 1:07know half past quarter past the likes of British terminology to
- 1:11discuss time. That being said, guys, I've been
- 1:13suffering from this like, I don't know, tightness,
- 1:16narcolepsy. I think like the past couple of
- 1:18days, like I mean like playing Minecraft with my son and I'm
- 1:21sitting down and I'm like, not like I don't even know I'm
- 1:24asleep until he's like, daddy wake up.
- 1:26I'm like woman out playing Minecraft the next when I get
- 1:28woke up with my son. So I don't know what I know
- 1:31what's causing it. I don't know if there's a, a
- 1:34bigger issue going on. I don't know.
- 1:35So what I've done is I've decided to not have my
- 1:39electrolyte drinks after workout.
- 1:41At least that was causing it. Sorry guys.
- 1:43I, I just, I look terrible because look, I've got bags and
- 1:46everything. It's crazy, but I had enough
- 1:47sleep last night. I had like, I don't know, 7
- 1:50hours sleep last night, maybe six hours sleep last night,
- 1:52which is good, right? But I still have this like
- 1:55bizarre, like narcotic thing. Anyway, that being said, I'm
- 1:59going to go and yeah, I'm going to go and check out this
- 2:02building. It's an old church and it's done
- 2:05up to be like a recording studio, like a videography
- 2:08studio place. It's, it's really cool.
- 2:10It's really cool. So I'm going to get inside
- 2:12there, let you guys know how it how it gets on.
- 2:15And yeah, I'll update you about the narcops using in a minute
- 2:17because on the way here on the drive, I was like, I felt really
- 2:19tired. I was like, I was like fighting
- 2:21sleep. It was crazy.
- 2:22So I pulled over and and I've just kind of like rested in the
- 2:26car, you know, so that I'm not having the same issue driving
- 2:29back home. So let's go on the day I spilt
- 2:34water on myself. OK guys, actually a little bit
- 2:43dark, but this is the building. It's got like tape or something
- 2:48like that. Tape, community music and film.
- 2:51So this is the building. It's like a cool, like old
- 2:53church. It's really like, it's really
- 2:55dope. And if I remember correctly, you
- 2:56have to go around like the other side of the building to get in.
- 2:59So we'll try it. Yep.
- 3:03Wrong place. Monkey result.
- 3:08Doors open and there's a black cat.
- 3:13Hello, pussy cat. Hello.
- 3:17Oh, we take a cat right? Here we go.
- 3:21Tape close this place. Hey, I'm here to record some
- 3:28stuff with Niall. Is it?
- 3:29It's not a good noise. Oh man, what is that?
- 3:47What is that? That is not a camera.
- 3:52That is not a camera. That's not a camera.
- 3:53Guys. I use a 750D, a Canon 750D when
- 3:57I'm filming, but right now I'm on G7X, right?
- 4:00This G7X, it's bad, not this car is bad, not.
- 4:05I've got a. Canon 850.
- 4:07Oh, you have a Canon 50. OK.
- 4:09Oh, does it? Yeah.
- 4:10What? What is what even is this thing?
- 4:11It's an R Canon RX or whatever it's called.
- 4:13Or XR. What?
- 4:14I can't remember the model name. You know, you can start just
- 4:17that. So what what are we doing?
- 4:18What's the what's the aim of? We're here for changing Ministry
- 4:20Gaming, which is a series where Men's Health and gaming combine.
- 4:23Yeah, and so we're going to have a chat about Men's Health and
- 4:25play a video game. Yeah, man, sounds good.
- 4:27We've got camera controllers, video games.
- 4:32What is what is this is a this is a this is an Xbox.
- 4:34It's an Xbox One. Yeah man, Xbox One.
- 4:37I've actually never played on the next one.
- 4:39I'm playing Halo three. Oh yeah.
- 4:42So guys, this is the setup. I'm not going to film me doing
- 4:45the thing because like that's the whole idea of them filming
- 4:48it. So I'll update you guys once
- 4:51we're done, once I'm back in the car and yeah, speech is here.
- 4:56I'm excited. I'm played Halo three in a
- 4:58while. So it's we good watch the flood,
- 5:00man. OK, we're all done.
- 5:02We are all done. That was really, really good.
- 5:03I ended up kind of doing a bit of a a, a motivational speech at
- 5:07the end of it. But what I'm going to do is I'm
- 5:08going to get some of the footage and I'm going to hopefully
- 5:12import it into my channel. I'm going to put on my channel
- 5:15and just do kind of show the stuff.
- 5:17Why do I like the guy from Ghostbusters, you know, the
- 5:19painting Vigo, the the ghocerian or whatever.
- 5:23Vigo. Anyway, there's my car, good old
- 5:26Tesla, the Tesla. And yeah, I'm going to go home
- 5:29and have some lunch because I am starving.
- 5:34Guys, what's going on? I am home.
- 5:36I'm too bright. Guys, I'm home.
- 5:39I'm back from the the the event. Sorry, my hair's absolutely nuts
- 5:44today. Yeah, it was good.
- 5:46It wasn't really an event. It was more like me sitting down
- 5:49in an interview about mental health, which is interesting man
- 5:52to get out of the bin. Dogs, dogs don't care.
- 5:56Randy out of the bin. He's exposing my vegan chocolate
- 6:00bar I had the other day. Anyway, so you made me think
- 6:03about mental health because of the whole topic of conversation
- 6:06with mental health, right. And the thing about mental
- 6:08health is there's two main components.
- 6:10Alexa, turn on the studio and there's two main components with
- 6:17with mental health And those those are worry and anxiety and
- 6:22they come from something called a problem.
- 6:24So when you have a problem, you have a bipractical worry, then
- 6:27you are worried about something which causes anxiety.
- 6:30Now check this out When you're worried about something, you're
- 6:33worried about a future event usually and that future event
- 6:37hasn't happened yet. So when you think about it,
- 6:39you're worrying now about something that hasn't happened
- 6:41yet. So you're worried now and you'll
- 6:42worry then too. But there's an even bigger
- 6:44picture here. So don't worry twice as kind of
- 6:46the model of that. The bigger picture is this.
- 6:49If you could not have a problem, then you wouldn't have the
- 6:53worry. If you didn't have the worry,
- 6:54you wouldn't have the anxiety. But check this out.
- 6:56Anxiety comes from the worry of a problem, but a problem only
- 7:02exists because a solution exists.
- 7:04I want to mean by this is if you say, hey, Oh no, my car's broken
- 7:07down, this is a problem, but we already know the solution.
- 7:10The car not to break down by taking it to a garage to fix it
- 7:14would be the solution, right? So already know.
- 7:17So if you know there's a problem, you already know
- 7:19there's a solution to that problem.
- 7:20So what I'm getting at is that we don't actually have problems
- 7:23in life. We have potential towards
- 7:25solutions. Now, if we think like this, we
- 7:27won't have the worry because a solution isn't something to
- 7:29worry about, you know what I mean?
- 7:30It's like it's a good thing. Then without the worry, you
- 7:32won't have the anxiety. And so you have your mental
- 7:35health by half. I know it sounds very simple and
- 7:39it is, but it's something that people don't really think about.
- 7:41And I think that the more we we talk openly about things like
- 7:44this, then the better mental health in general will become.
