- 3:39Okay, so let's transition to my special guest this episode.
- 3:45And I got to say, first of all, I feel grateful.
- 3:46I feel blessed and honored to have Jim Forkin on the podcast.
- 3:50I've actually known him for quite a number of years filed him from a distance and, you know,
- 3:54good fortune brought us together.
- 3:55So bottom line, who is Jim?
- 3:56What's he all about?
- 3:57Look, I don't know how to deliver an intro to this gentleman who's done so much and made
- 4:01such a big impact on people's lives.
- 4:02But for over 20 years, he's helped thousands of people deal in the areas of unconscious
- 4:08sales influence, human effectiveness and neuro persuasion.
- 4:13What does that mean?
- 4:14Well, if I give you the, you know, the poor man's version of that, look, all of us are
- 4:19working hard.
- 4:20You know, we tend to use struggle and strife and, you know, we've got to double down
- 4:24and hustle and all those types of things.
- 4:26And I'm here to tell you that when you listen to this podcast, which you're going to discover
- 4:30about yourself, about things that you want to achieve in your life, who you want to
- 4:34become, that it's not necessarily about your hard work.
- 4:38It's not necessarily about the hours you put in.
- 4:41It's more about your identity.
- 4:43It's more about what are the characters, traits, and habits that you need to evolve into,
- 4:50take on.
- 4:51Who is it you need to become to achieve that result?
- 4:56And so Jim and I unpack this whole conversation around, right, how you go about setting goals,
- 5:01how you go about your business plan for the new year.
- 5:04And most people have this, you know, have to be a mentality or philosophy in that order
- 5:09to have something.
- 5:10I need to do something in which means I need to be something or someone and then Jim totally
- 5:14flips that around and says it's more about be do have.
- 5:16Who do you need to be, right?
- 5:19To become to do this and what are the things you need to do to have the things that you
- 5:23want?
- 5:24And so it's not about necessarily, you know, first I need to get the skills, I need to
- 5:27get the training and then I can, you know, do this and that and then I can have the
- 5:30car or the Mercedes.
- 5:31This is the flip side of this.
- 5:32And so we're going to talk about your mindset, your personal mindset, your beliefs and what
- 5:36really drives results, what really drives consistency and performance for you in your business
- 5:42and in your personal life as well.
- 5:44And if you just want to lose weight, you want to get in shape this year.
- 5:46This is the podcast for you.
- 5:48If you want to grow your business and we're in a tougher market, if you want to not just
- 5:51survive, but thrive and do that in a state of flow, this podcast is for you.
- 5:57And so there's a lot of nuggets and ahas in here and there's a lot of links in the show
- 6:01notes to Jim's website to a couple of books.
- 6:03We mentioned to a free app that we talk about all to help you become the person, become
- 6:10the best version of yourself.
- 6:11How's that?
- 6:12And a couple of quotes here, Jim, you know, we talk about it's like money doesn't come
- 6:14from effort.
- 6:15It comes from identity.
- 6:16I'll say that again, money doesn't come from effort.
- 6:19It comes from identity.
- 6:20Right?
- 6:21And so we're going to take you through an exercise, a mini coaching session, if you will,
- 6:25to help you get clear on your identity and then help you work on those three areas that
- 6:31will help you become the person that you need to be, if you will, depending on the goals
- 6:37and the vision you have for yourself.
- 6:39So if you like this episode, hey, let us know and check the show notes for the additional
- 6:43resources and without further ado, let's get into this week's show with my very special
- 6:48guest, Jim 14.
- 6:49Hey, Jim, welcome to the show.
- 6:53Hey, glad to be here.
- 6:54Thank you for making time, especially at this, when our my listeners are probably listening
- 6:59to this episode, it's a brand new year.
- 7:01It's 2019.
- 7:03And as you know, my audience is sales related, they're sales professionals, mortgage, loan
- 7:08brokers, loan officers, et cetera.
- 7:10So I wanted to enter this conversation.
- 7:11I've been doing a lot of research and studying, you know, your website and some of what I think
- 7:16you bring to the market when it comes to how do we achieve our goals?
- 7:20How do we get better, if you will?
- 7:21How do we become that person we want to be?
- 7:24So with that kind of set up in that context, knowing that people just finished 2018, maybe
- 7:29they achieved their goals, maybe they didn't, but as often as the case with sales, you
- 7:33often get one of two things, maybe, hey, that was great.
- 7:36I hit my goals or wow, yeah, I didn't hit my goals.
- 7:42So you've worked with people in that same scenario in the past before, any just, you know,
- 7:47where do you want to enter the conversation from there, I would say?
- 7:50First things first, I want to enter the conversation of Wi-Fi.
- 7:52I did not hardwire.
- 7:54So what I want to tell people listening right now is I coach and have coach to top 1% of
- 7:59real estate agents and L.O.'s in the world.
- 8:02I'm going to actually flip a lot of what you believe and what you think and what you've
- 8:06been trained upside down.
- 8:07So even though we didn't hard, I didn't hardwire, I take responsibility for that.
- 8:11We might get a little distortion here and there.
- 8:13Make sure you listen all the way through, because I'm going to start here first.
- 8:17You had talked about achieving goals.
- 8:21That's the biggest bunch of nonsense in the world perpetuated by remote Wi.
- 8:26People don't achieve their goals.
- 8:27And I have coached, I don't know how many thousands of people over the years, I've been
- 8:31doing this 25 years, and I don't care if I'm at a large real estate event, a multi level
- 8:36marketing event, any event, any industry.
- 8:39If people in their audiences don't even get close to their goals.
- 8:43And the reason why is because many people set their goals from the left hand analytical
- 8:48side of the brain.
- 8:49I want a million dollars.
- 8:50I want to be a top 1% performing L.O.
- 8:53I want to be a top 1% agent.
- 8:54I want the new Mazerati.
- 8:55I want the house.
- 8:56I want the inner circle.
- 8:57End of the year, they look back, they haven't achieved any of that.
- 9:00As a matter of fact, many people look back over their goals for several years, they haven't
- 9:05achieved them.
- 9:06Why?
- 9:07That is all left brain analytical.
- 9:10And we perform from the right hand side of the brain, the unconscious mind.
- 9:14So you could say, for example, I'm going to set a goal to make $250,000 this year.
- 9:19And you never hit it over and over and over.
- 9:21Why?
- 9:22Because in your unconscious operating system and your identity, you grew up poor and
- 9:26you're broke.
- 9:27No matter what you try to do to make that money, you will never make it until you change
- 9:31your unconscious paradigms because we work from the inside out.
- 9:35In this culture, we have all the big personalities that will say things like, you've got to work
- 9:39tell your eyeballs, believe it, and you've got to take massive action.
- 9:41I'm going to tell you guys, stay with me here.
- 9:44That is all nonsense that keeps people trapped.
- 9:46The reason why is there is a big speaker, and he helps a lot of people, but he's a big
- 9:50tall guy.
- 9:51And he says, you've got to take massive action.
- 9:53Well, the reality is that is an external behavior, that is a doing behavior.
- 9:58But in your unconscious identity, if you're not a person that can sustain and you can't
- 10:02stay committed, which is a characteristic and way of being, if you can't stay committed
- 10:07to taking, which is a behavior, massive action, therefore, people go to these seminars and
- 10:12they're all pumped up and they're all hyped and ready to go.
- 10:15And three days later, they're back to their old behavior.
- 10:17Because every one of us, you and me, all of us, we work by our unconscious paradigms.
- 10:22And until you change who you are at the core level, your self-image, your self-identity
- 10:27and your unconscious paradigms, you will repeat your old patterns over and over and over
- 10:32again.
- 10:33I know that was a long opening, but I want to get people to start thinking.
- 10:36We work from the inside out and whatever subconscious paradigm you have is how you operate.
- 10:41To give you the best example for everyone listening, I think you're in Seattle, right, Pacific
- 10:45Standard Time.
- 10:46Yeah, Pacific Standard Time, yeah.
- 10:48So you're around lunchtime there.
- 10:49So if I brought up a plate of liver and onions and said, here you go, here's your lunch,
- 10:53liver and onions, would you eat it?
- 10:55No, okay.
- 10:56And notice what happens here.
- 10:57You didn't make that decision right now in this time, saying, well, would I?
- 11:01Or would I not?
- 11:02I don't know.
- 11:03Do I know?
- 11:04Boom, it's already been made at some point in the past and hell doesn't unconscious belief
- 11:07in paradigm.
- 11:08So you are in your behavior by not eating it.
- 11:12You are responding to the unconscious paradigm that you have.
- 11:16So all these people, all these speakers and all the stages and I've worked many industries
- 11:21will get up there and say, go do all this stuff.
- 11:23And everyone's like, yeah, I can do that three months later, three days later, they're
- 11:27back to their old patterns because what they're doing is not consistent with their self
- 11:31identity.
- 11:32That is where the change has to happen.
- 11:34Hmm.
- 11:35Okay.
- 11:36Thank you for sharing that.
- 11:37So for those that are listening, you know, when we set our goals and stuff like that
- 11:39for the new year, income wise, whatever, some people have already done this by the time
- 11:42they've heard this, they want to grow their income, do X more units, et cetera.
- 11:47Working hard is not it.
- 11:49So let's unpack then.
- 11:50Okay.
- 11:51Now, I already set my goals in place.
- 11:53How do I know I'm going to achieve those goals?
- 11:54I mean, is that a legit question?
- 11:56How do I know for certain I'm going to hit that mark?
- 11:58Most never do.
- 11:59And the reason why is notice what you just said here, and this is when everyone teaches,
- 12:02set your goals for 2019 and everyone will pull up that pencil and paper and they'll say,
- 12:07you know, I'm going to close so many units, if I'm in so many sides, if I'm an agent or
- 12:11so many loans per month or so much volume, the subtle distinction here is every bit of
- 12:17what we just talked about are all external things.
- 12:21What we need to be setting and working on is what characteristics, what I need to be
- 12:28to create what I want.
- 12:30And those characteristics are places that most people, and I'm saying most because I've
- 12:34coached, I've coached heavily in real estate and mortgage.
- 12:38I have coached two color Williams number one team leaders in a nation.
- 12:44I've coached a lady here in Dallas, who not calls one of the top 20 thought leaders
- 12:48in national real estate, owns one of the largest private real estate companies in Texas.
- 12:52And so I've coached the high end.
- 12:55And what we have to look at is not the external behavior, but what characteristics do I need
- 13:00to be able to do the external behavior?
- 13:04So and those are things like most people fall really short in these areas because we've
- 13:08learned the fall short is what is your level of self discipline?
- 13:13What is your level of commitment?
- 13:14What is your level of self integrity?
- 13:16What is your level of personal responsibility?
- 13:19These are four characteristics where people, most people fall short.
- 13:23That's why to give you an example here, and I know I'm talking a lot, but I can give
- 13:26these people a lot of value by listening.
- 13:28How many LOs or agents will say, you know what, I need to fill my pipeline and I need
- 13:33the prospect.
- 13:34But you know what?
- 13:35Monday I'm going to do it.
- 13:36Boom, I tackle it Tuesday.
- 13:37I'm all excited Wednesday.
- 13:38I'm like, I'm not so much enjoying this anymore.
- 13:40We go through that cycle for a long time.
- 13:42Didn't they go get an accountability partner because you're looking for something outside
- 13:46of themselves?
- 13:47The reason they're not following through is because of their level of self discipline,
- 13:51their level of commitment, personal responsibility, and self integrity.
- 13:54So they're trying to actually do a behavior to get the outcome they want, but to behavior,
- 13:58the doing is only as effective as the being doing the doing.
- 14:02That's why people fall off crack very quickly.
- 14:04So what is it then about the self identity that's missing?
- 14:08How can we work on that?
- 14:09How do we become the person that we want to be?
- 14:12Okay.
- 14:13So I have coached in the real estate industry.
- 14:15When I did one to one, which I coach very little in the real estate and mortgage industry
- 14:19anymore, my last two one to one mortgage clients.
- 14:22One of them has company road over a half a billion dollars a year in loans to start
- 14:26at the zone team who works for one of the big companies.
- 14:28Another one is the young guys, about 34 makes over a million a year also.
- 14:33What I look at with my clients is what characteristics and ways do they be?
- 14:37One of my clients went through one to one coaching with me.
- 14:39He said, you know what?
- 14:40I recognized that when I am 100% responsible for my outcomes, he goes, that gives me power.
- 14:49Now we've heard, we've heard speakers talk about this over the years, people like Brian
- 14:53Tracy back in the 80s and the 90s and the 2000s is that most of us do not have what I would
- 14:59say 100% responsibility for the outcomes that we get.
- 15:04Let me back up here.
- 15:05According to Miriam Webster, the definition of responsibility is causing something to
- 15:12happen.
- 15:13Now, if something doesn't happen in your business, it's because you have caused it not
- 15:20to happen, which means you haven't been responsible for making it happen.
- 15:27And then we go back even further, I pulled the corn shut back even more, is okay.
- 15:32My characteristics and ways of being, what I need to have to be responsible to make this
- 15:36happen in my business.
- 15:38But let me, let me solidify this even more, what everyone does is they go out and they
- 15:42try to do something, which is what I call the do-be-half model.
- 15:47If I do XYZ, then I can be successful and if I can be successful, then I can have the
- 15:53new Mercedes.
- 15:55Almost everyone works from that model from do-be-half, that is a broken model, why?
- 16:00Because if you don't actually do it, then you won't be it and you can't have it, but
- 16:04you never do it in the first place.
- 16:06Where we have to work from is be do-have.
- 16:10Who do I have to be to do what I need to do to have what I want?
- 16:16That is the reverse model of how most people work, but that's a true peak performance model.
- 16:20Does that make sense?
- 16:22Yeah, it does.
- 16:23Yeah, and I've often used that or tried to use that on myself in the past, like if I set
- 16:27the goals, I've heard it before.
- 16:30Who do you need to be to achieve that X and vision cast that out, if you will?
- 16:35What characteristics?
- 16:36What was it being?
- 16:38What habits, what attributes, how would this person enter a room?
- 16:40How would they perhaps even dress and all that kind of jazz, right?
- 16:43Yeah.
- 16:44Let's go there.
- 16:45Another thing that I work with people on is unconscious habits.
- 16:49When I use the word unconscious, I also mean subconscious people use the word interchangeably.
- 16:54Here's the thing, is people set all these goals for what they want.
- 16:59You will not get what you want.
- 17:02You will get your subconscious habits, because research has demonstrated that you, me, all
- 17:08of us, we show up on a daily basis, and 95% of our behavior is completely unconscious
- 17:14habit, which is reptilian brain-based.
- 17:17If you look at your morning, this morning, and every single morning, unless you've got
- 17:21small kids, which would make your kids a little older, but if you look at your morning,
- 17:25for the most part, you start your morning with the same sequence of behavior, whether it's
- 17:31coffee first or alate or cereal or the shower or whatever you do, you have the same sequence.
- 17:38You button your shirt from the bottom to the top or top to the bottom, same sequence.
- 17:42We go into unconscious habits.
- 17:44For all of you listening, let me show you actually how ingrained your habits are.
- 17:49Tomorrow morning, try to brush your teeth with the opposite hand of the one that you normally
- 17:53use and see how hard that is.
- 17:55Right.
- 17:56So let's take this in the business.
- 17:57Let's take this in the real estate and mortgage.
- 17:59Whatever your unconscious habits of thinking and doing are, you carry into your business,
- 18:05but you don't even know that you're carrying it into your business, because nobody drives
- 18:09to work and says, you know what?
- 18:10And even driving to work, you drive the same way every single day.
- 18:14No one ever drives and says, well, you know, what habits am I going to get into today?
- 18:19They don't do that.
- 18:20We don't do that.
- 18:21Film.
- 18:22It happens unconsciously.
- 18:23So whatever self-sabotage habits you have happen the second you walk in the door and
- 18:28they play out and then you're wondering why you don't get the end result that you want.
- 18:33Habits are vital.
- 18:34Remember, you don't get what you want.
- 18:36You get what your unconscious habits are and it's vital that you build and you start small.
- 18:42You build habits and even habits of thinking that get you the outcomes that you want.
- 18:47Vital, we start from the inside out.
- 18:50I attended a training last week.
- 18:51It was a disc certification.
- 18:52I'm sure you're familiar with that.
- 18:54And the study that they did what they found was one of the traits of the genius level
- 18:58achievers was self-awareness, which most people, it's so funny and it applies to all of us
- 19:05to a large degree is I'll tell people, you do this.
- 19:08No, I don't.
- 19:09Yeah.
- 19:10I want you to go back and just watch our coaching because it's live, just I mean, it's a zoom
- 19:14like this.
- 19:15Go back.
- 19:16We saw what I watched for patterns and I'll pull out a pattern and we're like, no, I don't
- 19:20do that, Jim.
- 19:21Go watch.
- 19:22And we're like, oh my god.
- 19:23I didn't even know that I did that.
- 19:24Yes, you do scratch your nose there.
- 19:26Self-awareness is vital.
- 19:29Okay.
- 19:30Most of us don't know.
- 19:31So then how do we become more self-interrupt our patterns?
- 19:35How do we become more self-aware so we can begin to make that change?
- 19:39A lot of that is just mindfulness, is paying attention to what we're doing.
- 19:44We have to become masters of our attention, but secondly is watching ourselves.
- 19:49Have you ever actually even just recorded yourself talking to people and listening
- 19:52for your patterns?
- 19:53We don't hear it.
- 19:54We don't see it.
- 19:55Right.
- 19:56My sister, my mentor is my brother-in-law who is a shaman and this is my sister's husband
- 20:02and I have a apprentice with a shaman which for those of you and most of you don't know
- 20:05a shaman would be the medicine men and Native American tribes or the sears or the healers.
- 20:11And I've worked and basically he's taught me to use higher function in the mind over the
- 20:14years.
- 20:16I was on vacation with him and my sister just a couple of months ago and he just kids.
- 20:20He calls his wife, you know, hey, babe, hey, baby, you know, what are you doing, baby?
- 20:25And we were talking and she'd been married to him for 35 years.
- 20:28And literally just a couple of months ago I said, well, he often says, hey, baby, what
- 20:32are you doing?
- 20:33He calls me, babe, and she's like, he never calls me that.
- 20:35I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 20:37He calls you that and, babe, hey, baby, baby, where's my keys?
- 20:40He says that all the time and in 35 years she wouldn't even aware of it.
- 20:44Really?
- 20:45Yeah, we're so internally focused as beings.
- 20:47We don't see a lot of what goes on in our behavior or outside of us.
- 20:51All right.
- 20:52So you said something on a previous podcast I wrote down, money doesn't come from effort
- 20:58or what you do.
- 20:59It comes from identity.
- 21:01Yeah.
- 21:02So that's huge.
- 21:03I do a lot of identity work with people.
- 21:06So I've got a coach and call with my students later today, but there's something in here
- 21:10it's just a book that I had that a lady named here in Dallas, her name is Virginia Cook.
- 21:14Virginia is considered one of the top 20 thought leaders by NAR in U.S. for a listing.
- 21:20She has her own private company.
- 21:22When she was 29, she was appointed president of Henry S. Miller, 29 years old back in
- 21:26like 1969, 30 at 5,000 male agents.
- 21:30She left when she was 60, started her own company and in 10 years it became the second largest
- 21:35private roller state company in New York, Texas.
- 21:37I'm telling you all this for a reason.
- 21:38This woman is as friends with people like Ross Perot.
- 21:42She was Roger Staubach, you remember the old name Roger?
- 21:45She was his mentor back in the 70s when he was getting in the real estate.
- 21:49Now she was my coach, but I mean, I was her coach, but she became my mentor and one of
- 21:53the biggest business mentors I ever had.
- 21:56And she said to me, we were talking one day and she said, you know, Jim, the first million
- 22:00is the hardest to make.
- 22:02And she said something that everyone listening right now has heard, but they don't they
- 22:05understand it, but they don't know it is she goes for somebody to be very successful.
- 22:12They first have to be successful in their mind.
- 22:15Now, let's go back a little further, look what everyone does for the most part.
- 22:18And I say everyone because almost everyone they try to go do things, but they're not successful
- 22:23in their mind.
- 22:24Now, let's go to identity.
- 22:26If I'll give you the best example, one of my somebody that I was coaching in LA at an
- 22:31upscale office, he grew up in a poor or a part of LA and he was working in a predominantly
- 22:38and I'm only just telling you this because this is what it was.
- 22:41He's working in an upscale predominantly Caucasian office and he was Hispanic, a very well-spoken
- 22:47guy, very smart.
- 22:48I mean, just very polished agent.
- 22:51And he told me one day on a coaching call, he goes, you know, these are his words.
- 22:55He says, the problem that I'm having is I'm still the Mexican boy from across the tracks.
- 23:01Those are his exact words to me.
- 23:03Now what I mean by that is even though he's working in an upscale real estate office, seven
- 23:07figure homes and all this, inside at the identity level, he was still the poor kid from
- 23:13across town.
- 23:14And I tell that very poignant, it's a very real story.
- 23:17I tell that because whatever you are in your identity, because your identity governs
- 23:22wealth, because if you grew up poor, which like even right now, 86% of the American population
- 23:29lives paycheck to paycheck, probably 80% of people watching this are listening, grew
- 23:33up middle class or working class.
- 23:36So if you grew up and all you ever heard was is money doesn't grow on trees, money's
- 23:40hard to come by.
- 23:41We're not like other people, money's hard to make and here's a big one.
- 23:44You got to work hard and you got to struggle for money.
- 23:47And you take that unconsciously, which is what we do.
- 23:49You live by that paradigm and your entire life.
- 23:52I grew up very much working class.
- 23:55So what I always heard those things, and a big one that I heard from my mother is that
- 23:58if you want a lot of life, you got to work really, really hard.
- 24:03Well, I live by those paradigms for a lot of years.
- 24:06I do not live by them anymore.
- 24:07I'm a seven figure earner.
- 24:08I mean, I make quite a bit of money and I might work three or four hours a week because
- 24:13I switched the paradigms.
- 24:15Does that make sense?
- 24:16I mean, I think about the conversations that we have with our kids and my kids, yeah,
- 24:23they're 16 and 14.
- 24:24Do you run the risk though of, you know, like in the example of the kids being like, well,
- 24:29then I could just be on easy street.
- 24:30I don't have to work so hard, you know?
- 24:32Well, that's where I go to not work, but responsible.
- 24:35What are you responsible for creating?
- 24:37Oh, so a whole different, that's a paradigm right there.
- 24:40Because I used to, I grew up with not responsible, I grew up with the hard work.
- 24:46I grew up on a small Texas farm and I was up every morning feeding the cattle.
- 24:50I mean, I worked hard.
- 24:52I would feed cattle if I'd get on the bus, go to school, get back from school three o'clock
- 24:56off the bus and back feeding and working at the cattle again, doing things.
- 24:59So I was taught that because my parents wanted me to be a success.
- 25:04But I was taught the way to do it is you put your nose to the grindstone and you struggle
- 25:08and you work hard.
- 25:10Now, everyone is supposed to be hard.
- 25:12Exactly.
- 25:13And you work long hours and you look at everyone right now listening or watching this,
- 25:17I guarantee you 70% will say, you know what?
- 25:20Yeah, I work hard.
- 25:22Why can't I crack 70 grand a year or 80 or 250 or whatever it is?
- 25:26Right.
- 25:27I'm not working for my identity and I have to give you an example of this so they will go, I get it.
- 25:31Many years ago, I used to speak at the same events of Donald Trump.
- 25:35Never listen to him speak.
- 25:36I mean, I didn't listen to other speakers.
- 25:38I just go speak and leave.
- 25:40One day, I was waiting for a friend of mine so I listened to Donald speak for a few minutes.
- 25:43And he said that, and I used to live in New York City and speak at large events.
- 25:48He said in 1992 that he was walking in the streets of New York and he saw a homeless guy.
- 25:54And he thought that guy is better off than I am.
- 25:57Because I, Donald Trump, was 2.9 billion dollars in debt.
- 26:02And that guy was a just homeless broke.
- 26:05So Donald Trump said, I am 2.9 billion on the other side of red of that guy.
- 26:10That guy is better off than me.
- 26:12Now, today, according to various reputable sources, he's worth about 3 billion dollars.
- 26:18How does he go from 2.9 billion down in the red that's 3 billion in the black?
- 26:22How does that happen?
- 26:24What do you think?
- 26:25Let's talk through this.
- 26:26Well, I think, first of all, it's mindset.
- 26:28If I'm looking at my notes here, he was committed to change that.
- 26:31He took self-responsibility for where he was in his own actions.
- 26:36And I mean, the next word is self-integrity.
- 26:38I guess the self-integrity to follow through.
- 26:40Okay, those are all, you're on the right track, but let's go even deeper.
- 26:44Even though, and this is where so many people sabotage themselves,
- 26:48even though in his external environment, meaning the bank account,
- 26:52which is outside of himself, it's external, he was 2.9 billion in the red.
- 26:57In his self-image and his identity, he was still rich.
- 27:03We will always do what our self-identity is.
- 27:08And people have to get that.
- 27:09That's why we said identity governs wealth.
- 27:11So however you identify?
- 27:12Yeah.
- 27:13Was he in massive pain?
- 27:15Don't know.
- 27:16I mean, I've heard it said before, then now you remember, I remember that example.
- 27:19So if your identity is, I'm rich, but right now I'm negative 2 billion or whatever,
- 27:23then there's a huge, you know, dichotomy between your identity and where you're at.
- 27:28And so that's got to drive everything for you to change that.
- 27:32Let's go somewhere with this, even deeper, great question.
- 27:34So what most people do, and I'm using the word most along,
- 27:37because I have coached a lot of people over the years, and I just, just prevalent.
- 27:41Yeah.
- 27:42Okay.
- 27:43So what most people do is, and I had somebody yesterday, one of my coaching programs,
- 27:46she goes to look at her bank account, and she didn't have as much money as she thought.
- 27:51Then she went in, which she'd been coaching with me for 10 weeks, that she knows better.
- 27:54We pulled her out, should like, yep, you're right.
- 27:56I went down the wrong rabbit hole.
- 27:58She knows better.
- 27:59So what happened was she looked at the bank account, something external.
- 28:02Now she felt bad when she felt bad that determined their behavior.
- 28:06So if I had the guest, Donald Trump, just watching over the years, probably said,
- 28:11you know what?
- 28:12Okay.
- 28:13I'm 2.9 billion in the red.
- 28:15What do I have to do to get out of that?
- 28:17It wasn't like, oh, poor me, I feel bad.
- 28:19You know what?
- 28:20I'm going to drink a bottle of tequila tonight.
- 28:22You know, the world's coming to an end.
- 28:24It's like, okay, what do I have to do to, because it's automatic.
- 28:27That's how he's, he's wired, because that's his identity.
- 28:30That's how he grew up.
- 28:31We learn this, a small children by the age of eight, were hardwired by the age of eight,
- 28:35or softwired, which is unconscious paradigms, by the age of eight.
- 28:39So however we grow up, that's why, for example, I used to live in New York.
- 28:42That's why you see the Orthodox, little Jewish kids growing up to be Orthodox Jewish.
- 28:47You see the Catholics growing up to be Catholics.
- 28:49You see the Republicans growing up to be Republicans,
- 28:51because we are indoctrinated as small children as to what the world is and is not.
- 28:57Yeah.
- 28:58That's the reality of it.
- 28:59Let me ask you this question.
- 29:00What comes first in the pyramid, if you will, right?
- 29:03Is that identity, then beliefs, then actions?
- 29:06Okay.
- 29:07So everyone actually, you as well, draw a triangle on a paper in front of you?
- 29:12Yeah, yeah.
- 29:13Okay.
- 29:14Draw a triangle, like a big old triangle, like most of an eight and a half by eleven.
- 29:18Okay.
- 29:19Okay.
- 29:20And everyone actually doing this, unless you're driving, then do this, because this will be,
- 29:24this is a big aha for people when they get this.
- 29:27Yeah.
- 29:28All right.
- 29:29You have the triangle?
- 29:30Yeah.
- 29:31Top of the triangle, I want you to write environment.
- 29:32Environment.
- 29:33Okay.
- 29:34Now, like a ladder, rungs all the way down, below that, we're going to go, I think, five levels.
- 29:39Below that, you want to write behavior.
- 29:42Okay.
- 29:43Behavior.
- 29:44Yep.
- 29:45Below that, you want to write capabilities.
- 29:47Capability.
- 29:48Okay.
- 29:49Below that, you want to write beliefs.
- 29:52Beliefs.
- 29:53Okay.
- 29:54Below that, you want to write identity.
- 29:56All right.
- 29:57Okay.
- 29:58Now, here's what happens.
- 29:59Let's go.
- 30:00We're in December.
- 30:01This is coming out January.
- 30:02Everybody's ramping up their business, setting their goals.
- 30:04New Year's resolutions, right?
- 30:06Well, research shows with New Year's resolutions by the third week of January, 92% of people
- 30:11have already fallen off track.
- 30:12Here's why.
- 30:13The environment is what you want to create in 2019.
- 30:17Let's choose a parallel metaphor for her working out.
- 30:20The environment is your body looking in the mirror.
- 30:22This is what I want.
- 30:23So when people want to change their environment, what they do is they say, well, what do I have
- 30:28to do?
- 30:29What behaviors are going to get me to the outcome that I want?
- 30:32So in January, they say, you know what?
- 30:34Okay.
- 30:35I don't like this extra 20 pounds they put on.
- 30:37I'm going to do something.
- 30:38I'm going to go to the gym.
- 30:40That's where most people start and most people stop.
- 30:43What no one ever asked is this.
- 30:45Well, okay.
- 30:46What capabilities do I need?
- 30:49What skills do I need to go to the gym five days a week?
- 30:54Hmm.
- 30:55And never ask that question.
- 30:56Then they never say, well, what do I believe about going to the gym five days a week?
- 31:01Because see, most people who don't go to the gym at all are habituated, not going to the gym.
- 31:06And they're actually unconscious belief is I don't like it.
- 31:09It's too much work.
- 31:10I don't have time.
- 31:11I'm too old.
- 31:12It's too hard to lose weight, et cetera.
- 31:14Then we have to look at, okay, well, what identity?
- 31:18Let's say that my environment is I want to be trim and fit.
- 31:22I want to be lean.
- 31:23I want to be a 32 inch waist trim fit and lean.
- 31:25Okay.
- 31:26Where we have to really go is what identity would someone have who has that body?
- 31:32Hmm.
- 31:33But if you notice here visually for all of you that have drawn this,
- 31:36where everyone starts is at the behavior level, not asking what capabilities do I need?
- 31:40What beliefs do I need?
- 31:41And how do I identify with this?
- 31:44And so what happens is because they start to behavior.
- 31:47Let's say at the identity level that's your person who can't stay committed, no matter what you always fall off track.
- 31:53When you try to go do something, which is going to the gym,
- 31:56you're going to be, you're going to be side swiped by the identity that says, you know what?
- 31:59You never stay on track anyway.
- 32:01And that's why you'll start to behavior.
- 32:03You'll use real power, which is a fixed resource.
- 32:06And then two or three days later, your bacterial behavior again.
- 32:09Hmm.
- 32:10Okay.
- 32:11Something applies to money and achievers.
- 32:12Same thing.
- 32:13So once again, we come back to identity drives everything.
- 32:16Identity drives everything.
- 32:18So for example, when I asked you earlier, like part of your identity is that you like music behind you on the wall.
- 32:24It's very evident to me.
- 32:25Yeah.
- 32:26It's a good music too.
- 32:27Thank you.
- 32:28But see that's also someone else could say that's crap music.
- 32:32But my identity is I like that kind of music.
- 32:34Right.
- 32:35So remember when I said liver and onions, you were someone you identify as someone who doesn't like liver and onions.
- 32:43Yeah.
- 32:44Let's dig deeper.
- 32:45How many cigarettes did you smoke today?
- 32:47Zero.
- 32:48Zero.
- 32:49Okay.
- 32:50I didn't either.
- 32:51But how come you didn't smoke any identity, man?
- 32:53You're not a smoker, right?
- 32:54But if you're a smoker, you smoke cigarettes.
- 32:56Now, let's go back to Virginia Cook.
- 32:58So she's like, Jim, my agents don't get it is that to be successful.
- 33:05You've, and we've heard all this in the motivational stuff, but people don't really, they don't understand it.
- 33:10To be successful in the world, I first have to be a success in my mind.
- 33:16One more step here.
- 33:17Sun Zhu said, I'm going to mingle this.
- 33:19But he said that a victorious warrior wins in his mind and then goes to battle.
- 33:28A defeated warrior goes to battle and then tries to win.
- 33:33Let's look at L.O.'s and let's look at real estate agents.
- 33:35They're not successful in their mind first and especially about money.
- 33:39And then they get a battle to their listing presentations and their consults and everything.
- 33:44But in their mind, they're broke, which sabotages them.
- 33:47If they're rich in their mind and their capabilities, they will be rich in the external world, which is the experience.
- 33:54I love that, I love that.
- 33:55So many thoughts are flown in my head right now.
- 33:57Yeah, sure.
- 33:58Because I'm conscious of the time as well when we want to wrap up in just a few minutes.
- 34:01But I wrote something down from, this is, I think, as long as the same line of what we're talking about.
- 34:05You said, if I'm correct, could be paraphrasing.
- 34:07Forget about your why.
- 34:09Yeah.
- 34:10I've seen, thank you for that.
- 34:12I tend to be somebody who breaks a lot of molds for people.
- 34:15It's a big one I've used, man.
- 34:17What's your why?
- 34:18You know, because the old saying was your why, you have a big enough why you'll figure out the how.
- 34:22Right.
- 34:23Okay.
- 34:24So break that down.
- 34:25Well, let me, let me go here.
- 34:26Have you ever heard before the study that was done at Yale University in 1958,
- 34:31where they actually serve at all the students, what are your goals?
- 34:34Do you write them down?
- 34:3520 years later, the 3% who wrote them down made more than the other 97% combined.
- 34:39Yeah.
- 34:40Okay.
- 34:41So a lot of people have heard that and never happened.
- 34:44So that's people false.
- 34:45It's false.
- 34:46Yeah, never happened.
- 34:47So people are just perpetuating all this information, the same thing with the why.
- 34:51Or because they don't understand how the brain and the unconscious mind works.
- 34:55People work with external motivation, not how the brain works.
- 34:58And therefore people don't achieve their goals and they go to all these events and pay all this money.
- 35:02And they don't get anywhere with it.
- 35:04Okay.
- 35:05Here's the thing.
- 35:06If you need a why, and I'm going to go two places with this, if you need a why to achieve your goal,
- 35:12it's not a goal because you're saying, you know what?
- 35:14I really want that over there, but I need to remind myself over here why I want that over there,
- 35:18which means what you want over there is not compelling enough.
- 35:21So for most people, a why is analytical.
- 35:25Let me just go through my analytical thinking.
- 35:27Okay.
- 35:28Now I think, oh, yeah, yeah, I got it.
- 35:29Now I know why I want that.
- 35:31And I have seen people also go in a circle here in Texas, the Texas Aggies, there's a joke.
- 35:36If you want to drive an Aggie crazy, put him in a round room and tell him to sit in the corner.
- 35:41Okay.
- 35:42So people go their entire lifetime, what is my why?
- 35:45What is my why?
- 35:46What is my why?
- 35:47What is my why?
- 35:48What is my why?
- 35:49And I tell people, stop looking for your why and stop because it's analytical.
- 35:54And start asking yourself, what makes me matter?
- 35:58Because that's emotional.
- 36:00That's what drives us.
- 36:02So what makes me matter?
- 36:05So for me, I change lives at a very transitional level.
- 36:09What makes me matter?
- 36:12What makes me matter?
- 36:13Yeah.
- 36:14M-A-T-T-E-R.
- 36:15What makes me matter?
- 36:16Because that's power.
- 36:17That's emotional.
- 36:18That's not an analytical answer.
- 36:19The why is always an analytical answer.
- 36:21So I can buy the house where I can be number one or put my kids through college.
- 36:24But yet, I've seen people say, well, I do what I do.
- 36:27My why is put my kids through college.
- 36:29Yet, they don't increase their income at all.
- 36:31Two, three, four, five years.
- 36:32They do a 10% yearly increase.
- 36:35But on top of that, most people, and I worked heavily in the mortgage and real estate industry.
- 36:41Most people don't develop their skills.
- 36:43And especially their internal skills, they follow the economy.
- 36:46The economy goes up.
- 36:47They all go up.
- 36:48The economy comes down.
- 36:49They all tank.
- 36:50Because they're actually responding and living from something external, which is the environment.
- 36:54And is that why then we see people who do well in any market because of the identity?
- 37:00Correct.
- 37:01When I used to actually coach team leaders, sales leaders, one of the questions I'd say I want you to ask an interview with Jess.
- 37:07If the economy is good, I would say, what do you think about the economy going bad?
- 37:11If the economy is bad, I would say, what do you think about the economy?
- 37:14The reason why is I want to know if their answer is an external answer or an internal answer.
- 37:19Top producers will always say, I don't care what happens in the economy.
- 37:23I'm still going to do well.
- 37:24People that aren't top producers will say, you know what?
- 37:26I'll try harder.
- 37:27I'll adjust my marketing.
- 37:28I'll do this.
- 37:29All things outside of themselves.
- 37:31People that are top producers and I've coached on Wall Street.
- 37:33I've coached movie stars.
- 37:34I've coached real estate and I've coached.
- 37:36Yeah, it doesn't industry.
- 37:38People that are really successful will be successful no matter what's happening in the external world.
- 37:43And that is identity.
- 37:44And that is because with identity becomes those three things.
- 37:48They're committed, they have responsibility and self integrity.
- 37:52Yes and no.
- 37:53Let's go a little deeper here.
- 37:55You can have, for example, part of your identity could be that you're very committed with things.
- 38:00But another part of your identity could be is that you're not self integral.
- 38:04And self intent.
- 38:05Well, I'm going back up.
- 38:06I just conquered myself because those are actually complimentary.
- 38:09Okay, those are independent individual characteristics.
- 38:12It doesn't mean you're going to have all four in your identity.
- 38:15Okay.
- 38:16Because somebody, for example, I think what's important is to be a visionary.
- 38:19Now, you could be very committed, but have no vision.
- 38:21So you're not achieving what you could achieve.
- 38:23Those are each one that I gave you is an independent characteristic of identity.
- 38:27Doesn't it?
- 38:28You can have them all.
- 38:29You might not have them all.
- 38:30You don't need all three to, you know, be who you want to be or whatever, achieve.
- 38:34I would say the number one that you need is.
- 38:38Two.
- 38:39I'm going to give you two.
- 38:40Two that I think are indispensable.
- 38:42A hundred percent responsibility.
- 38:44A hundred percent responsible.
- 38:46And a hundred percent self integral.
- 38:48There was some research done at Harvard University by Dr. Michael Jenkins.
- 38:52I believe his name is many years ago.
- 38:54And he said this is one of the most overlooked principles in business is the concept of self integrity.
- 39:01Self integrity is that you do what you say you're going to do when you say you're going to do it.
- 39:07What they've discovered at Harvard Business School studying, long term studying, is that when you do what you say you're going to do,
- 39:15your productivity will go up anywhere from one to five hundred percent, which means you will at least double your income to five times in your income with no additional input.
- 39:27However, I know the numbers because again, I've done this for a long time and I put all my students' assessments.
- 39:32Most will come in at what I call 90 70.
- 39:35When I give my word to other people, I keep it 90 percent of the time.
- 39:39When I give my word to myself, I only keep it 70 percent of the time.
- 39:43Well, if you only keep your word to yourself in school, that would be C.
- 39:46That would be an average score.
- 39:48If you only keep your word to yourself 70 percent of the time, then how can you expect to knock it out of the part when you don't keep your word to yourself?
- 39:56And that could be, I'm going to prospect three days a week, I'm going to work out three days a week, I'm going to contact ten new contacts a week, whatever it is, people don't keep their word.
- 40:04Why? Because you let the external world knock them off track.
- 40:07They don't keep their word and therefore they go right back to their old behaviors again.
- 40:11Michael Phelps, hang on here, Michael Phelps, you know who he is, we all know who he is.
- 40:15On 60 minutes, I don't know if it's true or not, but in seven years his coach said he mispractice how many times?
- 40:21My first gut reaction was once, but then zero popped in my heart.
- 40:25Zero.
- 40:26So that is, that's all three, isn't it?
- 40:30It can be, and you're getting stuck on all three, but what I look at is what are the personal characteristics that drive you?
- 40:36I've got an extra ten minutes, let's go here or something.
- 40:39Okay.
- 40:40A Navy seal once said, I don't know if I read this or one of my clients told me, a Navy seal said that he was going to run three miles a day.
- 40:48What happened is a couple of weeks then he got sick and he said to himself, am I going to stay in bed because I have the flu or am I going to run today?
- 40:59He got up and ran because he said that's what he said he would do.
- 41:02He said he'd recover from the illness, but he wouldn't recover from actually breaking his word to himself.
- 41:08And this is something where I can't tell you everyone listening.
- 41:11I want you to look at your own life.
- 41:13I can't tell you the amount of people that say things.
- 41:15I'm going to prospect.
- 41:16I'm going to lead generate.
- 41:17I'm going to do my yearly plan.
- 41:18I'm going to do this.
- 41:19I don't do it.
- 41:20Then this becomes unconscious behavior.
- 41:23We need to keep going with this because this is vital.
- 41:26So what if you're in business with somebody, you're, you've got a business partner and they say, you know what?
- 41:31Jeff, I'm going to do it on Monday.
- 41:32They don't do it.
- 41:33I'm going to do it on Wednesday.
- 41:34They don't do it.
- 41:35I'm going to do it next Monday.
- 41:36They don't do it.
- 41:37This goes for two weeks.
- 41:38What do you start to believe about them?
- 41:40Yeah.
- 41:41They're not a person of their word.
- 41:42They're not going to do it.
- 41:43Okay.
- 41:44So every time you give yourself your word and you don't keep it, you literally train yourself that it doesn't matter if I give my word or not because I'm not going to keep it anyway.
- 41:52Now, bring that in the business.
- 41:54I'm going to prospect on Monday.
- 41:56Oh crap.
- 41:57I got behind that and do it.
- 41:58I'll pick up Wednesday.
- 41:59Nope.
- 42:00Didn't do it on Wednesday.
- 42:01I'll do it right.
- 42:02Don't do it.
- 42:03This becomes a decades-long cycle for people because they've trained themselves that they don't need to listen to what they say and they don't value their word.
- 42:10All right.
- 42:11Then can we briefly close out on how someone can be have more self-integrity so they do become that person?
- 42:18Absolutely.
- 42:19Everything's habit.
- 42:20When I say that, people, I know you're nodding, but people don't get.
- 42:24Research demonstrates that up to 95% of what we do is brain-based habit.
- 42:28So if you're not a committed person, it's not because there's a moral value about you being a bad person of any kind.
- 42:34It's because you've learned not to be committed.
- 42:37When it's simple, my dad is an alcoholic.
- 42:39So I grew up and my earlier is watching my dad say, I'm going to do blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 42:43My dad never did any of it.
- 42:45So what he taught me is it's okay to say that I'm going to do it and not be committed and not doing it.
- 42:49So that's what I learned.
- 42:50It depends on what we learn early on.
- 42:52So if we find that we're not committed, and let's say this, and that's a valuable characteristic and way of being, you start small.
- 43:00I would, if I was coaching somebody, I'd say download the app.
- 43:03It's called commit to three.
- 43:04It's free.
- 43:05You do three small things every single day and make them small.
- 43:08You actually, as simple as us, make your bed every single morning.
- 43:12And I'm just picking one arbitrarily.
- 43:14So you put the dishes away into this washer before you leave.
- 43:17Something that's actually easy enough, that's not work to do.
- 43:20And you start teaching yourself how to be committed.
- 43:24So what you want to look at, everyone listening, I'm going to ask you a simple question.
- 43:28What would be the number one way of being or characteristic that you could master that would get you to follow through
- 43:35and what it is and the things that you want to do in your business?
- 43:38Now, start small and start working like a muscle and building that characteristic and commitment and self integrity.
- 43:45Keeping your word when you say you're going to do it.
- 43:48Well, commitment, you can get committed to three.
- 43:50Self integrity would be, you know what?
- 43:52Never speak a word out of your mouth unless you're actually going to do what you speak.
- 43:57Because now, you're reconditioning the unconscious mind.
- 44:01Those are two of the, they sound very simple.
- 44:04And every one of you listening now, you might be thinking, oh, I get it, I get it, I get it, I'm telling you.
- 44:08I've worked with Olympic athletes.
- 44:09I've worked with billionaire CEOs.
- 44:12It's brain-based.
- 44:14It's not external motivation.
- 44:16It's brain-based.
- 44:17We have to recondition the identity.
- 44:19We have to recondition behaviors.
- 44:21One more thing here that I tell a lot of my students is what we're going to use the word visualized or imagery.
- 44:28What you visualize over and over and over is what you program your unconscious mind with.
- 44:32So to keep this really simple, without going in depth, every one of you can go to Amazon, get a book.
- 44:37It's really simple. It's 100 years old.
- 44:39No one knows who wrote it. It's called It Works.
- 44:42The book will take you about 20 minutes to read.
- 44:44It's a really short book.
- 44:46The author is, I think, R-H-J or something like that.
- 44:50The title of the book is It Works.
- 44:52What he has you do, which you probably read and think can grow rich.
- 44:55And the morning, and this is because of brain wave function also.
- 44:58And the morning you open your eyes, first thing you do is you imagine what it is you want to create.
- 45:03At lunch, close your eyes, imagine what it is you want to create.
- 45:06At night before bed, right before you go to sleep, close your eyes, hear, see and feel.
- 45:10The operative word is feeling because the unconscious mind works on feeling.
- 45:14What would you see? Who would you be?
- 45:16How would you feel if you already made 250,000 a year?
- 45:19You do that over and over and over with gentle repetition.
- 45:23Now you're reprogramming your subconscious paradigm.
- 45:26Got it. Okay, cool.
- 45:27And I'm going to put links in the show notes to all that to the app, to the book.
- 45:31It works. And speaking of links in the show notes before we close out,
- 45:34if anybody wants to connect with you, where would you like to send them?
- 45:38My name, Jim Fortin.com.
- 45:40Easy enough, right?
- 45:42Yep, easy enough. I've got a podcast coming live January the first.
- 45:44And we dig into all of this and go much deeper in the podcast.
- 45:47Yeah, and I have to say, I've been, I've been since you and I originally talked.
- 45:50I've been following your content. It's good stuff, man.
- 45:52Your Instagram is just like, I mean, you've got lessons on your Instagram.
- 45:55We just sit there and you look at it. You're like, oh, my God, wow, really?
- 45:58That's my intention.
- 45:59That is my intention to get people to really, really think at a higher level outside,
- 46:05outside of just what we've been.
- 46:07We all, people will say to me, I used to be a hypnotist, which is better than endorsed.
- 46:11And people will say, is it hard to get people into hypnosis?
- 46:14No, that's easy. It's hard to get people out of hypnosis from what they've been programmed by our culture.
- 46:21And especially for all of us here about money, because we've been programmed.
- 46:26It's hard and it's not easy.
- 46:28I walked into a poor stewardship last week.
- 46:30I grew up poor, shit, I mean, we had all beat up cars.
- 46:33I walked into a poor stewardship last week and just made an impulse buy on a Porsche.
- 46:37That's who I am this day and age because I can do that.
- 46:40But I had this shift that identity from we have to work hard for everything and we can't have that.
- 46:45And everyone listening is no different than me.
- 46:48It's the programming that comes out on us and we have to shift the programming.
- 46:53No, I get it, man. I've been doing some of that self-work too.
- 46:55It's like, you know, be open to the possibility of things just flowing to you.
- 46:58That's where I work from.
- 47:00I know we have to go in a bit, but here I want to give you guys something else.
- 47:03I tell all of my students to read this book, all of my one-to-one's and my coaching students.
- 47:08There is a book and I think it's a, what's the, when I author writes a book and it's not their real name,
- 47:14what do they call it? A pseudonym?
- 47:17Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:18But there's a book called...
- 47:19Pen.
- 47:20Okay. Dollars float to me easily.
- 47:23Okay.
- 47:24And it's a paradigm shift for most people.
- 47:27And where I used to work from and you'll learn in the book, where I used to, I didn't learn this from the book,
- 47:31but the book just solidifies it so well.
- 47:33I learned this from my brother-in-law a lot of years ago.
- 47:36And where most people work from is that money comes from work.
- 47:39Money does not come from work.
- 47:41Money comes from the universe.
- 47:43It comes from consciousness and energy.
- 47:45And to prove that, if you ever had a time in your life, especially all of you L.O.'s,
- 47:49where you're just sitting at your desk, somebody calls you and goes,
- 47:52Hey, my name is Bob Smith.
- 47:53You don't know me, but I talked to Joe Smow.
- 47:55Joe said, I got to call you.
- 47:56Boom.
- 47:57A 3,000-dollar commission falls right in your lap.
- 48:00But you didn't know work to get Joe Smow calling you.
- 48:03The universe brings this money and the universe responds to our consciousness.
- 48:07This is not woo-woo.
- 48:08This is even quantum physics.
- 48:10Right.
- 48:11So if you vibrate, which means you feel poor, it'll attract more of that.
- 48:14You feel wealthy.
- 48:15You will attract more of that back in your experience.
- 48:17Awesome.
- 48:18We get them planning to think about today.
- 48:20We certainly did.
- 48:21And plenty of resources to go buy, download, whatever, you know, the books and all that stuff.
- 48:25So I'm going to put the links in the show notes.
