- 0:00Speaker: I see all good people now.
- 0:02Speaker: Good morning.
- 0:05Speaker: Yes, always so good to be alive.
- 0:12Speaker: Means we have an opportunity to thrive in this day.
- 0:17Speaker: We are alive again.
- 0:19Speaker: We can visualize in our minds ourselves as seeds sprouting in the sunlight of the day, the dawning of the day.
- 0:31Speaker: We can remember whom we are.
- 0:35Speaker: We can answer Thomas Wilson's six questions and have a fairly good recollection of what's going on.
- 0:46Speaker: Preparing ourselves literally, figuratively, for anything.
- 0:53Speaker: It's powerful.
- 0:57Speaker: And it's common sense.
- 0:59Speaker: It doesn't get better than this.
- 1:02Speaker: It is simple, honest, authentic.
- 1:08Speaker: This is why we're doing it.
- 1:11Speaker: This is why I do it and share it with you.
- 1:15Speaker: It's important.
- 1:16Speaker: Mankind needs to step up more than we have.
- 1:23Speaker: More important now than ever before.
- 1:27Speaker: Because the tools at our disposal are more powerful.
- 1:32Speaker: And we all know the stories.
- 1:35Speaker: Atomic energy.
- 1:37Speaker: Even swarms and clusters of drones.
- 1:41Speaker: Being here now is merely a beginning.
- 1:48Speaker: Be here now is not difficult when evolution has afforded one the capacity to be alive.
- 1:58Speaker: And we can see this in all the different species which have evolved on this planet.
- 2:05Speaker: And yet, with a greater sense of perspective, we can also see most of the species which have evolved on this world have perished.
- 2:19Speaker: The variety is different, but in a sense of looking at it as a totality, it is greatly reduced.
- 2:31Speaker: We've had five mass extinctions already, wherein at the minimum seventy-five percent of all life was extinguished in these events.
- 2:44Speaker: In each one.
- 2:46Speaker: Maybe more, depending on which one.
- 2:51Speaker: Five of them.
- 2:53Speaker: So being here now is a great beginning, but this is all it is.
- 3:03Speaker: It is what one does when one begins to acknowledge one's own presence.
- 3:09Speaker: Fundamentally, virtuosity becomes very important.
- 3:17Speaker: Whom are you?
- 3:22Speaker: What are you?
- 3:23Speaker: Why are you?
- 3:25Speaker: Where are you?
- 3:27Speaker: When and how are you?
- 3:30Speaker: These six questions of the famous rhetorician who verbalized and immortalized his thinking in the year of fifteen sixty, explaining these concepts of how to evaluate any subject.
- 3:52Speaker: What is the most important thing?
- 3:57Speaker: What is the first one?
- 3:59Speaker: The most important thing that one can do.
- 4:02Speaker: Remember whom you or I, who we are.
- 4:10Speaker: What does this mean to do?
- 4:13Speaker: To remember your ego?
- 4:15Speaker: Okay.
- 4:16Speaker: It's important, but it is only a part of whom one is.
- 4:26Speaker: The perspective should include the awareness of our evolution.
- 4:33Speaker: The reflection should include the perspective of the universe's immensity.
- 4:44Speaker: Then one begins to grasp a greater knowledge of what is.
- 4:56Speaker: What is the most important thing one can do?
- 5:00Speaker: Remember whom one is.
- 5:07Speaker: Better to be done with a greater sense and degree of awareness, of purpose.
- 5:59Speaker: What is going on?
- 6:05Speaker: This is primally important.
- 6:10Speaker: This desire, this objective, is made more interesting because time is constantly changing like a kaleidoscope.
- 6:24Speaker: It is turning as each new moment evolves, arrives.
- 6:30Speaker: And this is part of our consideration.
- 6:34Speaker: It is not only the concept of evolution and the expanding nature of our universe of creation.
- 6:43Speaker: It is in the details.
- 6:47Speaker: It is when all of this is occurring.
- 6:54Speaker: And it is occurring right now, as these words flow from my lips into one's ears, as a communication is taking place.
- 7:07Speaker: Are we appreciative?
- 7:11Speaker: Are we even aware of what this means?
- 7:16Speaker: How the words pass through the air rich enough to carry sound, that we are cognizant enough to hear and interpret the meaning, the symbology of the words being expressed.
- 7:37Speaker: Do we have enough experience we can understand the nuances in speech, the pauses, the accents?
- 7:50Speaker: There's a lot.
- 7:53Speaker: And yet it is all simple.
- 7:56Speaker: Evolution has developed us over millions of years to facilitate these capabilities.
- 8:08Speaker: Not to shy away, but to embrace, to imbue ourselves with our potential.
- 8:18Speaker: What is the most important thing one can do?
- 8:23Speaker: Remember whom we are.
- 8:27Speaker: that's the first W.
- 8:32Speaker: What! The second W is When.
- 8:36Speaker: In every moment changing is occurring.
- 8:41Speaker: So one needs to be remembering, reminding oneself often during one's day.
- 8:54Speaker: A hundred times a day means every fourteen or fifteen minutes we are pausing and refreshing our being.
- 9:07Speaker: It is not one wants to meditate for fifteen minutes, and having accomplished this task, this awareness of our gift of being alive, and then be one and done.
- 9:24Speaker: Thinking, Now I can get back to the other parts of my being, my other in quote responsibilities.
- 9:33Speaker: No.
- 9:33Speaker: It is better to be aware once every fifteen minutes for a few moments.
- 9:43Speaker: It is continuity we are seeking.
- 9:46Speaker: We are seeking flowing awareness, recognition of the majesty and the magnificence of creation.
- 9:59Speaker: If we meditate and do our practice in a short span of time, one percent of our day, which fifteen minutes represents.
- 10:15Speaker: Where are we? Continuous?
- 11:03Speaker: The third W.
- 11:08Speaker: What, when, yes, it's where, everywhere! In every place.
- 11:14Speaker: Comfortable, of course, is better than being uncomfortable.
- 11:18Speaker: But maybe being uncomfortable is the beginning of finding one's comfort again.
- 11:24Speaker: It is more in the ability to have an aha moment, a reflection, a reminder to oneself.
- 11:34Speaker: Why, number four, am I this way?
- 11:36Speaker: Why am I dis-eased?
- 11:38Speaker: I know there is a better way.
- 11:42Speaker: Creating the conditions as much as one can, being mindful it is not always going to be easy or the way we want it to be.
- 11:52Speaker: This is where having virtue comes in.
- 11:56Speaker: To be patient, to be understanding, to have compassion, to find empathy, to understand our environment, our current situation.
- 12:09Speaker: Being kind, aware are our goals.
- 12:16Speaker: In the present moment, in our current circumstances, to be a better part of what's going on, of being able to evaluate and participate and to add to the confluence of events as they are occurring.
- 12:43Speaker: Who?
- 12:47Speaker: The last W.
- 12:50Speaker: We started with what, when, where, why, and number five, who.
- 12:59Speaker: This is a question a hundred years ago or a little bit more.
- 13:05Speaker: A famous yogi guru expoused this view of asking oneself the question of who am I?
- 13:15Speaker: Well, we've added five more to that.
- 13:18Speaker: Because we want to know the whole thing.
- 13:22Speaker: We want to understand the entirety of our being, or as much or better as we can.
- 13:33Speaker: So the who is you and I.
- 13:38Speaker: And as far as who am I, meaning as a species, Homo sapiens.
- 13:47Speaker: Well, it's all part of the same five W's and one H.
- 13:53Speaker: It is we are a part of this whole.
- 13:58Speaker: We are a part of the energy of creation.
- 14:03Speaker: We are all of the things we have been talking about.
- 14:10Speaker: And more.
- 14:14Speaker: The more one visualizes and remembers, the more one finds.
- 14:20Speaker: Because how many moments do we each have in a day?
- 14:25Speaker: Eighty-six thousand four hundred moments, distinct moments of awareness.
- 14:34Speaker: Multiply that out by a week, by a month, by a year.
- 14:40Speaker: All of these moments are recorded in one's mind.
- 14:46Speaker: Some more vibrantly, some less.
- 14:52Speaker: And how?
- 14:55Speaker: How do we accomplish what we set before ourselves?
- 15:02Speaker: How do we fit in with virtuosity, with the desire and the goal to implement channels and means of self-improvement, of becoming aware of characteristics, of qualities, which in their pursuit helps us become better Homo sapiens.
- 15:32Speaker: This is the entirety of what we need to know.
- 15:40Speaker: These six questions.
- 15:43Speaker: We can find our roles as Homo sapiens.
- 15:49Speaker: The music continues for another minute.
- 15:53Speaker: My recommendation is to ponder a little bit longer in your own thoughts, and to be smiling, be gracious, be kind unto your own self, and to practice all day.
- 16:13Speaker: In every new moment remembering is our goal.
- 16:18Speaker: I and you are here now, bundles of miracles, humbled before this immensity we've been talking about.
- 16:32Speaker: This universe traveling at a million miles an hour in expansion.
- 16:38Speaker: Thankful for waking up, for having another moment to play, to smile, to rise, to shine. namaste
