Transcript
- 0:00Hi, this is Lucia with The Art of Love.
- 0:02I'm a dating and relationship expert specializing in helping
- 0:05you get your X back or to get over your X.
- 0:08As you can see from the title of the video, this is Part 2 of the
- 0:14stages your avoidant X goes through during no contact.
- 0:17Which means of course there's a Part 1.
- 0:20So if you haven't yet listened to Part 1, I would suggest you
- 0:23do that or this video would be a bit confusing.
- 0:27And after you've done that, then come on back.
- 0:29We'll still be here with Part 2. And if you have listened to Part
- 0:321, congratulations, this is Part 2.
- 0:35But before I start, I want to welcome back my beautiful no
- 0:38contact Army. Thank you so much for
- 0:40downloading the app Silencio. We are going to be adding a lot
- 0:44more features in the coming months, so be sure to keep the
- 0:47app updated. And of course, the link to that
- 0:50app is underneath every single video and podcast.
- 0:53And if you too would like to join our no contact army, all
- 0:56you have to do is hit the subscribe button and the bell
- 1:00notification and you're in. And to read our manual, go to
- 1:04nocontactsecrets.com where you can read 2 free chapters before
- 1:08you purchase the book. OK, so for the next stage, which
- 1:11I mentioned at the end of Part 1, sadness and missing you, this
- 1:16is the time when the breakup is starting to hit them.
- 1:20And by staying in no contact and allowing for the passage of
- 1:23time, their walls and defenses have started to come down.
- 1:27They're no longer feeling the negative emotions that they were
- 1:30feeling when they were with you or when they were in the anger,
- 1:34satisfaction and relief stages. They're no longer feeling
- 1:39negative emotions when they think about you and are starting
- 1:42to feel the loss of the breakup finally.
- 1:46And they're now feeling the loss of the positive things that they
- 1:50were getting by being with you since it obviously wasn't all
- 1:53negative, right? Or they wouldn't have been with
- 1:55you in the 1st place. At least I hope not.
- 1:59And this is where Fab kicks in, which I talked about in my video
- 2:037 Reasons Why the no contact Rule Works on everyone.
- 2:06And of course, I'll put the link in the upper right hand corner
- 2:08on YouTube. And Fab, if you didn't know,
- 2:11stands for faded effect Bias, which basically means that with
- 2:14the passage of time, people forget the bad memories
- 2:18associated associated with a person or a place or a thing.
- 2:23And they only remember the good. And you'll know they're in this
- 2:28stage because they'll start to like your photos more on social
- 2:32media, make more comments, view your stories faster.
- 2:35They may post things that are meant to get your attention,
- 2:38such as wearing something that you gave them or posting from a
- 2:41place that you guys used to go to.
- 2:43And this is also the stage where they will text you the famous I
- 2:47miss you text. And I recently saw a very funny
- 2:51response for that, which is when someone says I miss you, you
- 2:56respond with and whose fault is that?
- 3:00Of course, that's not appropriate for everyone's
- 3:02situation or personality. So if you want to know how to
- 3:06respond to the I miss you text, I actually have a whole video on
- 3:11that and I place the link, of course, in the right hand corner
- 3:13on YouTube, the upper right hand corner.
- 3:15So you should congratulate yourself if you get the I miss
- 3:18you text. It means that you did things
- 3:20right after the breakup because not everyone gets an I miss you
- 3:23text. If they don't want to be that
- 3:25vulnerable, they may text you with something that's an inside
- 3:28joke. They may also deliberately try
- 3:31to run into you and make it seem like, oh, it's just a casual run
- 3:33in. Oh, what a surprise.
- 3:35You're here, too. Yeah, right.
- 3:38And then we move to the next stage, which is confusion.
- 3:41What are they confused about? Well, they're confused because
- 3:45they can't stop thinking about you.
- 3:47They're still thinking about you.
- 3:49And they're also confused because you haven't chased them,
- 3:52right? You haven't chased them right?
- 3:55And they wonder what you're up to, and they're probably going
- 3:58to assume that you're seeing someone else.
- 4:00Otherwise, why did you not chase them after they broke up with
- 4:03you? Or why did you stop chasing them
- 4:05after they broke up with you? Surely you're dating someone
- 4:08else. So when someone is confused and
- 4:11they're asking themselves a lot of questions, as Doc Love used
- 4:14to say, that question mark becomes a hook which hooks them
- 4:18back in. And if you'd like to know more
- 4:21about Doc Love's wisdom, be sure to check out his book, The
- 4:23System and have the link to that underneath every single video.
- 4:27He's the one that I first heard talking about interest level.
- 4:30So they're going to assume that you've either moved on or are
- 4:34seeing someone else. And this is where the Phantom X
- 4:38makes its appearance, which I'll talk about in the final stage.
- 4:42And they'll also wonder if they made the right decision in
- 4:45breaking up with you. Their interest level is going to
- 4:47be at an all time high since the breakup and they're going to
- 4:50wonder if maybe they overreacted and if maybe the relationship
- 4:55can be saved. You'll also know in you they're
- 4:58in the confusion stage if they start to increase the level of
- 5:02communication with you, even if it's not romantic communication.
- 5:05So if you're in touch because you have kids together or you
- 5:08work together, there will be more interactions.
- 5:12And if you weren't in touch at all, this would be the time when
- 5:15they would attempt to make contact.
- 5:17There might be some light flirting because they're testing
- 5:21the waters, or they may look for reasons to hang out with you in
- 5:24a non romantic way. And they may even tell you that
- 5:28they're confused if they're, if you're fearful of went.
- 5:32And this is a stage in which they may come back or at least
- 5:35attempt to because if you're a regular listener, you know that
- 5:39we don't just take people back, right?
- 5:41We do not just let them sneak back in.
- 5:45And For more information on that video or, or that, listen to my
- 5:48video titled the six questions to Ask Your ex When they want
- 5:51you back. They need to be the ones putting
- 5:54in the effort to try to get you back.
- 5:56Don't be the one trying to get things back on track or they're
- 5:59going to lose respect for you. And you can't have love without
- 6:02respect. They ended it.
- 6:04They must be the ones to start it up again.
- 6:07So don't screw things up now that you're so close to the
- 6:10finish line. It would be like running a
- 6:12marathon and you're almost at the end and oops, you fall and
- 6:16you don't finish the race. Oh no.
- 6:20And keep in mind, while they're trying to figure out if they
- 6:23should get back with you, you should also be thinking and have
- 6:26been thinking about whether it makes sense to get back with
- 6:29them. Obviously, when they first broke
- 6:32up with you, you absolutely wanted them back because the
- 6:35breakup was usually a surprise. But once you've had the clarity
- 6:37of no contact and have taken the step back, sometimes you realize
- 6:41that maybe the relationship was no longer working for you and
- 6:45you don't want it back. And then we have the final
- 6:49stage, regret. And this is when they think
- 6:53they've lost you for good and you've moved on and they can't
- 6:56get you back. This is when they'll create an
- 6:59idealized version of a past partner.
- 7:02They'll compare new people to that idealized version.
- 7:05So if you had a deep connection with an avoidant, there's a good
- 7:09chance you're going to fulfill the role of the phantom X, which
- 7:13I mentioned earlier. This will keep them out of
- 7:16rebound relationships or delay them from looking for new
- 7:19opportunities, which obviously is good for you.
- 7:22And this is where the term the one who got away comes from.
- 7:27However, the one who got away is usually the one who was pushed
- 7:31away. And it seems that men more often
- 7:34than women have some version of the one who got away.
- 7:37Keep in mind that they can't get to the stage unless they
- 7:41actually feel that they've lost you for good, and they can't
- 7:44think that unless you have stayed in no contact.
- 7:49And how will your partner behave if they're in the regret stage?
- 7:54Well, they will actually say can we talk or they'll try to engage
- 7:58with you through social media. If your ex is a fearful
- 8:02avoidant, they are in their fearful slash anxious stage at
- 8:07the moment which works in your favor.
- 8:09Obviously if they're dismissive they won't be as anxious but
- 8:13they will definitely be interested.
- 8:15The chances of your ex coming back in this stage are very high
- 8:19and when they asked to meet up you're going to wonder, well how
- 8:23should I behave and what do you know?
- 8:25I have a video on how to behave when you meet up with your ex so
- 8:28I'll put that in the upper right hand corner.
- 8:30So there you go, the stages and avoidant X goes through during
- 8:34no contact. So now it's your turn, I want to
- 8:37hear from you. How long have you been in no
- 8:40contact and how is it going? In the meantime, if you would
