Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, my name's Santasha Nabananga Bamblet. I'm a proud or
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Order Kerni Whaltbury and a waddery woman. And before
- 0:08Speaker 1: we get started on She's on the Money podcast, I
- 0:11Speaker 1: would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land
- 0:14Speaker 1: of which this podcast is recorded on a wondery country,
- 0:18Speaker 1: acknowledging the elders, the ancestors and the next generation coming through.
- 0:23Speaker 1: As this podcast is about connecting, empowering, knowledge sharing and
- 0:27Speaker 1: the storytelling of you to make a difference for today
- 0:30Speaker 1: and lasting impact for tomorrow.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Let's get into it.
- 0:34Speaker 3: She's on the Money, She's on the Money.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to She's on the Money, the podcast
- 1:00Speaker 2: that helps you make savvy financial decisions while dodging financial
- 1:03Speaker 2: traps disguised as golden opportunities. My friends, I am your host,
- 1:08Speaker 2: Victoria Devine, and today we're going to dive into the
- 1:11Speaker 2: murky world of promises, pyramids, and water. Yeah you heard
- 1:15Speaker 2: me write water, specifically the six and a half thousand
- 1:20Speaker 2: dollars water machine that claims to transform your life, your health,
- 1:24Speaker 2: and maybe even your finances. If you've been with us
- 1:28Speaker 2: for our past episodes on Multi Level marketing. You probably
- 1:32Speaker 2: already know how these schemes work, and if you haven't,
- 1:36Speaker 2: check out our deep dive on why ninety nine percent
- 1:39Speaker 2: of people lose money in MLMs and why they are
- 1:42Speaker 2: so hard to leave. Trust me, you're going to want
- 1:45Speaker 2: that context because today we're going to focus on one
- 1:48Speaker 2: particular MLM that's energic and it's cage and water machines.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It's a scheme that is so slick it even markets
- 1:57Speaker 2: itself as a movement and as a brotherhood. Good. But
- 2:01Speaker 2: here's the twist. This isn't your average multi level marketing
- 2:05Speaker 2: business pedaling makeup or candles. N Ergic is in a
- 2:09Speaker 2: league of its own as a high ticket opportunity with
- 2:13Speaker 2: sky high costs to join and even bigger risks when
- 2:16Speaker 2: they go wrong. And that's exactly what I get to
- 2:19Speaker 2: unpack today. Because I have done all of the snooping
- 2:22Speaker 2: for you. We're going to be talking about how they
- 2:25Speaker 2: steep by in set and energic apart, and why it
- 2:28Speaker 2: might be even more damaging than the MLMs we've already
- 2:30Speaker 2: covered before. Stick around because this one is a doozy,
- 2:34Speaker 2: So grab a coffee or maybe just a cup of
- 2:36Speaker 2: plane tapwater, and we can get into it. If you've
- 2:40Speaker 2: listened to me talk about multi level marketing businesses before,
- 2:43Speaker 2: you will know that the key difference between a multi
- 2:45Speaker 2: level marketing business and a pyramid scheme is that a
- 2:49Speaker 2: legitimate multi level marketing business has a product. So let's
- 2:54Speaker 2: take a closer look at the product that sets kang
- 2:56Speaker 2: and Water apart from all those other dubious ventures. Spoiler alert,
- 3:01Speaker 2: it's water, but not just any water. This is Kangan water,
- 3:07Speaker 2: which we're told means return to origins in Japanese. It
- 3:11Speaker 2: sounds almost spiritual, doesn't It Like it's going to whisk
- 3:15Speaker 2: your way to some primordial, utopian version of yourself. Except
- 3:20Speaker 2: it's still just water. Enalgic claims that their machines have
- 3:24Speaker 2: been transforming lives in Japan for over five decades. What's
- 3:29Speaker 2: their pitch kangon water quote restores your body to its
- 3:33Speaker 2: original alkaline state. Now, I don't know about you, but
- 3:37Speaker 2: I didn't realize my body had wandered off from its
- 3:40Speaker 2: alkaline origins. Apparently, regular old tap water just isn't going
- 3:44Speaker 2: to cut the mustard anymore. Clearly, I have been missing
- 3:47Speaker 2: out on the life changing power of expensive H two,
- 3:51Speaker 2: their top of the range machine is going to set
- 3:54Speaker 2: you back six seven hundred dollars, and Nalgic makes sure
- 3:58Speaker 2: that no matter you'll findinancial situation, you still have the
- 4:03Speaker 2: brilliant opportunity to buy into this scheme. If you don't
- 4:06Speaker 2: have six and a half grand lying around for a
- 4:08Speaker 2: Cangam water machine, don't worry, though. They are so happy
- 4:12Speaker 2: to help offer you financing options to make the purchase
- 4:15Speaker 2: completely accessible. They say. These payment plans often come with
- 4:20Speaker 2: interest rates that start get this, at just ten percent,
- 4:23Speaker 2: but will jump to a staggering twenty five percent if
- 4:28Speaker 2: you miss a payment. That's not convenient, my friend. That
- 4:32Speaker 2: is a financial trap, and it doesn't stop there. In
- 4:36Speaker 2: some cases, distributors go as far as encouraging recruits to
- 4:40Speaker 2: turn to payday loans or other really high interest financing
- 4:43Speaker 2: options to buy their way into this scheme. According to
- 4:47Speaker 2: an ABC investigation, one ex distributor get this, this was
- 4:51Speaker 2: wild to me was even directed to a payday lender
- 4:55Speaker 2: owned by another and Nergic distributor. Talk about a conflict
- 4:59Speaker 2: of interest, and it got worse from there. This same person,
- 5:02Speaker 2: who couldn't even afford one machine, was pressured into buying
- 5:06Speaker 2: multiple machines to quote skip the queue in a Nargic's
- 5:10Speaker 2: labyrinth commission structure and Nagic's own policies explicitly prohibit distributors
- 5:17Speaker 2: from on selling machines that they purchase for themselves. The
- 5:20Speaker 2: hypocrisy is completely astounding. It's a system that seems designed
- 5:24Speaker 2: to push people into financial ruin. You can't even sell
- 5:27Speaker 2: it if you buy it, and it doesn't suit your lifestyle.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But the message here is very clear, whatever it takes,
- 5:34Speaker 2: you just need to get that machine. These predatory payment
- 5:38Speaker 2: practices don't just lock people into debt, they actually prey
- 5:42Speaker 2: on financial vulnerability. They leave participants in a worse off
- 5:45Speaker 2: position than the day that they started. For a company
- 5:48Speaker 2: that quotes sells freedom, it seems like the only people
- 5:52Speaker 2: that are getting free are the ones who are cashing
- 5:55Speaker 2: in at the very top. It's driving me insane. The
- 5:58Speaker 2: more research I do into this, the more angry I get,
- 6:01Speaker 2: which should come as no surprise because it's me. But
- 6:05Speaker 2: then get this, we're not just talking about the machine.
- 6:07Speaker 2: We're not just talking about financial ruin, because obviously that's
- 6:10Speaker 2: what makes me angry in the first place. Then let's
- 6:13Speaker 2: get into the science behind Kanga water. Because if there's
- 6:17Speaker 2: one thing I can not stand. It's pseudoscience being sold
- 6:21Speaker 2: as facts. According to the Investigating the Health Claims and
- 6:24Speaker 2: Regulatory Considerations of Kanga Water study, a legit study. Imagine
- 6:29Speaker 2: your business having a study done on it. Anyway, The
- 6:33Speaker 2: magic of kanga water comes from a process called electrolysis,
- 6:37Speaker 2: which makes the water alkaline and supposedly filled with antioxidants
- 6:42Speaker 2: thanks to dissolving hydrogen gas. Sounds kind of impressive, right,
- 6:46Speaker 2: magic maybe, But here's the kicker. The actual scientific backing
- 6:52Speaker 2: is as thin as a discount supermarket piece of toilet paper.
- 6:56Speaker 2: The study does go on to point out that while
- 6:58Speaker 2: molecular hydrogen might show antioxidant effects in controlled lab settings,
- 7:03Speaker 2: there is zero concrete evidence proving kanga water delivers anything
- 7:07Speaker 2: meaningful to your health and hydration. Sure, alkaline water hydrates
- 7:12Speaker 2: you just like every other kind of water. The study
- 7:15Speaker 2: outright says that there is no significant advantage over regular
- 7:19Speaker 2: tap water or filtered water, and according to the University
- 7:23Speaker 2: of Texas, the pH of the body is tightly regulated.
- 7:27Speaker 2: If you change your diet, you might actually see some
- 7:29Speaker 2: changes in the pH of your saliva or your urine,
- 7:31Speaker 2: because these are waste products. But that is it. In fact,
- 7:35Speaker 2: if you were able to physiologically change the pH of
- 7:39Speaker 2: your entire body, you would die. Your body fights to
- 7:43Speaker 2: maintain its regular pH. So what are you really paying
- 7:47Speaker 2: for with that six and a half thousand dollar machine. Well,
- 7:50Speaker 2: it's a whole lot of marketing buzzwords and honestly false hope.
- 7:54Speaker 2: It doesn't stop there, though it's driving me insane. The
- 7:57Speaker 2: regulatory oversight for their outlandish claims is practically nonexistent. They
- 8:02Speaker 2: market this as the holy Grail of health, while the
- 8:05Speaker 2: science barely scratches the surface of plausibility. The study rightly
- 8:09Speaker 2: calls this out as misleading, and honestly, from my perspective,
- 8:14Speaker 2: it's predatory. People are forking out thousands of dollars, thousands
- 8:19Speaker 2: of dollars that they arguably don't even have, believing that
- 8:23Speaker 2: they're investing in their health and getting wealthy, when all
- 8:27Speaker 2: they're really doing is lining somebody else's pockets. If you've
- 8:30Speaker 2: tuned into our past multi level marketing episodes, you're going
- 8:33Speaker 2: to know that one of the most predatory tactics these
- 8:36Speaker 2: schemes use is selling the idea of community. It's not
- 8:40Speaker 2: just about the product or even the money. Honestly, it's
- 8:43Speaker 2: about creating a sense of belonging for people who currently
- 8:46Speaker 2: don't have it. These schemes thrive on targeting people who
- 8:50Speaker 2: feel stuck, stuck in maybe their jobs, or their finances,
- 8:54Speaker 2: or maybe just their lives in general. And what do
- 8:56Speaker 2: they offer this company. It offers transformation, it offers freedom,
- 9:02Speaker 2: it offers an escape from the so called rat race.
- 9:06Speaker 2: It's not just a sales pitch. It's a lifeline for
- 9:09Speaker 2: people who are desperate for change. But here's the twist
- 9:14Speaker 2: with Energic. The product, the six and a half thousand
- 9:17Speaker 2: dollar water machine, it's not the main attraction. They're six
- 9:20Speaker 2: and a half thousand dollar product. Isn't even the thing
- 9:23Speaker 2: that they talk about that often. The big players in
- 9:26Speaker 2: this game, they barely even talk about the machine. What
- 9:30Speaker 2: they're really selling is a lifestyle. It's a fantasy of
- 9:35Speaker 2: financial freedom, of self improvement, and living your best life,
- 9:40Speaker 2: all while getting to work from home, or from your
- 9:43Speaker 2: traveling caravan, or more accurately, from your phone. And this
- 9:48Speaker 2: makes me so mad. They know exactly who to target.
- 9:52Speaker 2: We're going to take the rural financial Movement as a
- 9:55Speaker 2: really good example. This group. They prey on regional and
- 10:00Speaker 2: rural women, promising them a chance to break free from
- 10:04Speaker 2: the limitations of geography and circumstance. Literally, that's what they say.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Then there's the Legacy Brotherhood, which is just another one
- 10:13Speaker 2: which takes a different angle, offering men a brotherhood to
- 10:17Speaker 2: improve their health, their wealth, and their purpose through a
- 10:20Speaker 2: very supportive community. It's not just about selling water machines.
- 10:24Speaker 2: It's about creating a sense of identity for those who
- 10:28Speaker 2: might have felt like they're lost on their way and
- 10:31Speaker 2: if you're wondering how far they'll go to reel you in,
- 10:34Speaker 2: The Legacy Brotherhood doesn't just sell a sense of identity.
- 10:37Speaker 2: They're going to charge you five hundred and ninety nine
- 10:39Speaker 2: dollars for the privilege of even starting the journey. Their
- 10:43Speaker 2: Men's Legacy Mastermind promises to help men take control of
- 10:47Speaker 2: their health, their wealth, and their purpose in just a
- 10:50Speaker 2: few days. Honestly, it sounds transformational. When you start reading
- 10:53Speaker 2: into it, you're like, this is pretty good, Like this
- 10:55Speaker 2: makes sense to me. People need this, Like genuinely, men's
- 10:59Speaker 2: mental health is important. So when I started to read
- 11:02Speaker 2: into it, even I started to slip down the slope
- 11:05Speaker 2: of going, yeah, you're right, men's health is important, Like
- 11:07Speaker 2: men need to talk more about money and like, I
- 11:09Speaker 2: would love to have more purpose. They had me, as
- 11:12Speaker 2: a female thinking that a brotherhood was definitely something I
- 11:15Speaker 2: should be thinking about. But what you're paying for really
- 11:19Speaker 2: is a very vague motivational talk and a lot and
- 11:23Speaker 2: I mean a lot of buzzwords. The only guaranteed transformation
- 11:26Speaker 2: that's going to happen here is the six hundred dollars
- 11:28Speaker 2: that is going to transform into not being in your
- 11:31Speaker 2: bank account. It's not just about creating a sense of belonging,
- 11:34Speaker 2: it's about monetizing it from the very first step. And
- 11:38Speaker 2: let's not forget the top tier sellers in Australia who
- 11:42Speaker 2: run the Freedom Era. This is a ninety nine dollars
- 11:46Speaker 2: a month subscription based coaching platform, right, so that's how
- 11:49Speaker 2: they get you in. They're not going to be saying, hey,
- 11:52Speaker 2: the welcome we have this six and a half thousand
- 11:55Speaker 2: dollar water machine and I'd be like, well, I don't
- 11:57Speaker 2: want to buy that. They sell a lifestyle. They don't
- 11:59Speaker 2: even post about this damn water machine anywhere. They post
- 12:03Speaker 2: about their Freedom Era. It's all over social media. You
- 12:06Speaker 2: can go and look at it. I'm probably going to
- 12:08Speaker 2: be blocked from them after this episode drops, so you go, Ham,
- 12:11Speaker 2: please have fun. But this Freedom eerr right. You sign
- 12:14Speaker 2: up to them because you see them on socials and
- 12:16Speaker 2: you think this is great. I would love to live
- 12:18Speaker 2: a life exactly like they do. It's a ninety nine
- 12:21Speaker 2: dollars a month subscription based coaching platform and it's less
- 12:24Speaker 2: about teaching you to sell water and more about selling yourself.
- 12:29Speaker 2: They kind of teach you how to craft the illusion
- 12:32Speaker 2: of success on social media so that you can pull
- 12:34Speaker 2: others into the same web the machine. It's absolutely secondary
- 12:38Speaker 2: from everything I have looked into what they're really selling.
- 12:41Speaker 2: It's a dream, a dream at that for most that
- 12:45Speaker 2: turns into a nightmare of debt and complete disappointment. So
- 12:48Speaker 2: while doing some research, I discovered one chat script that
- 12:52Speaker 2: was given to the subscribers of This Freedom Era and
- 12:56Speaker 2: according to the ABC, it included quote invented boyfriend that
- 13:01Speaker 2: you've been able to retire because of your multi level
- 13:04Speaker 2: marketing success. It's a legitimate script that they give you
- 13:08Speaker 2: so you can make up a boyfriend, so that you
- 13:11Speaker 2: can convince people that you have a life you do
- 13:13Speaker 2: not have. Obviously, I'm going to share that with you,
- 13:16Speaker 2: so let's go. Here is the script I totally relate,
- 13:20Speaker 2: having retired justin last year from the minds, I understand
- 13:24Speaker 2: how hard it feels when you are sacrificing your time
- 13:27Speaker 2: for money. I would love to share more info with
- 13:29Speaker 2: you on how I've been able to change my life.
- 13:32Speaker 2: When do you think you'll have some time to watch
- 13:35Speaker 2: a quick video? I'm so excited to be able to
- 13:38Speaker 2: connect with you and guide you to create the life
- 13:40Speaker 2: you deserve on your own terms. No wonder. People often
- 13:44Speaker 2: refer to these multi level marketing companies as cults. They
- 13:48Speaker 2: don't just sell a product or even a business opportunity.
- 13:51Speaker 2: They're selling an entire way of life. They isolate you
- 13:54Speaker 2: from outside perspectives. They draw you into this tight knit
- 13:57Speaker 2: community where questioning the system it's taboot. Don't do that,
- 14:01Speaker 2: and they make you feel like failure is your fault,
- 14:04Speaker 2: definitely not theirs. They prey on your vulnerabilities. They convince
- 14:08Speaker 2: you that their way is the only way that you
- 14:10Speaker 2: are ever going to achieve success, happiness, and freedom. It's
- 14:13Speaker 2: not just manipulative, it is down right predatory. And that's
- 14:18Speaker 2: exactly why I am here to shine a light on it.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I'm going to take a quick break because I'm getting
- 14:22Speaker 2: way too heated. But when we come back, I'm going
- 14:25Speaker 2: to share a story that stopped me in my DM tracks.
- 14:29Speaker 2: One of our community members reached out about her underage brother.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It's shocking, it's predatory, and it perfectly exposes just how
- 14:38Speaker 2: far these tactics are going to go. So don't go anywhere.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I'll be right back. Welcome back, my friends. Before the break,
- 14:47Speaker 2: I mentioned a story that perfectly illustrates how predatory these
- 14:51Speaker 2: schemes can be, and honestly, this one flawed me. It's
- 14:55Speaker 2: about a young boy, he was seventeen, who was drawn
- 14:58Speaker 2: into the web of an MLM under the guise of
- 15:00Speaker 2: helping his family. The details they are outrageous and they
- 15:04Speaker 2: are going to show you just how far these recruiters go.
- 15:08Speaker 2: This community member shared a Facebook post that one of
- 15:11Speaker 2: the recruiters had written about her brother and shared publicly.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So here's what it said. Moments like these make me
- 15:18Speaker 2: realize how much of an impact I'm actually making. This
- 15:22Speaker 2: person traveled two and a half hours on the trains
- 15:25Speaker 2: from Northern Brisbane to come down to the Gold Coast
- 15:28Speaker 2: to meet me about kang and water and find out
- 15:31Speaker 2: how it can help him and his mother. The knowledge
- 15:33Speaker 2: I have is valuable. Don't take it for granted. I
- 15:37Speaker 2: have a voice, and I'm going to use it to
- 15:39Speaker 2: improve this world we live in, not to harmit like
- 15:42Speaker 2: a lot of people out there. Oh did I mention
- 15:46Speaker 2: he's seventeen, finish high school last week. This kid has
- 15:50Speaker 2: his priorities straight, health and wealth hashtag year of growth. Now,
- 15:56Speaker 2: the community member, this young boy's sister told us more
- 15:59Speaker 2: about what was really happening behind the scenes. She said,
- 16:03Speaker 2: my brother was seventeen, but all I can compare it
- 16:06Speaker 2: to is grimming because the conversations were going on for
- 16:10Speaker 2: months prior to this meeting, going back to when he
- 16:13Speaker 2: was sixteen. He was hearing nothing of what I was saying,
- 16:16Speaker 2: basically me begging him to not get involved because he
- 16:19Speaker 2: was essentially being brainwashed. My mum was struggling hard financially,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and they really held on to that to make him
- 16:26Speaker 2: think he was going to be able to save her
- 16:28Speaker 2: from this. Now you might be thinking, surely this is illegal,
- 16:32Speaker 2: and you know what, my friend, you would be absolutely correct.
- 16:35Speaker 2: It is absolutely even against their own terms and conditions,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and Magic explicitly states in their terms and conditions all
- 16:43Speaker 2: individuals who are distributors must be at least eighteen years
- 16:47Speaker 2: of age and must not be a student, So recruiting
- 16:51Speaker 2: a seventeen year old fresh outer high school boy completely
- 16:55Speaker 2: against the rules. But here's the thing. When you've got
- 16:58Speaker 2: thousands of dollars to payback for your so called miracle
- 17:02Speaker 2: water machine, it seems the moral or the legality line
- 17:06Speaker 2: starts to really blur. This particular distributor tried to convince
- 17:11Speaker 2: a seventeen year old to sign up under his mum's name,
- 17:14Speaker 2: and luckily he didn't. These schemes thrive on desperation, and
- 17:19Speaker 2: recruiters will often resort to literally any measure, even targeting
- 17:23Speaker 2: underage kids. It seems to keep their own financial heads
- 17:27Speaker 2: above water. It's unethical, it's exploitative, and it shows just
- 17:31Speaker 2: how little accountability these multi level marketing structures enforce when
- 17:36Speaker 2: money is on the line. And speaking of exploitation, let's
- 17:39Speaker 2: dive in to a nargeic's baffling compensation plan. I've mentioned
- 17:44Speaker 2: before that MLMs love to bamboozle recruits by overly complexifying
- 17:48Speaker 2: commission structures, right, but let me tell you this, A
- 17:52Speaker 2: Nargic's plan is one of the most confusing I have
- 17:55Speaker 2: ever seen, and trust me, I'm a legitimate finance expert,
- 17:59Speaker 2: and it gave me a headache trying to decipher it.
- 18:01Speaker 2: You can imagine what it would be like for the
- 18:04Speaker 2: average person who can't read a spreadsheet, doesn't understand it,
- 18:07Speaker 2: and doesn't have the capacity to do so, what it
- 18:11Speaker 2: would be like if you are being pitched this quote opportunity.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So here's a little peek into this chaos that I've
- 18:17Speaker 2: been able to decipher. And Nagic uses something called an
- 18:20Speaker 2: eight point commission structure, which it has a warning itself
- 18:24Speaker 2: to not be confused with an eight level structure, because,
- 18:28Speaker 2: of course, why would you make it simple. Each product,
- 18:31Speaker 2: like their six and a half thousand dollars Kangam water machine,
- 18:34Speaker 2: generates commission points based on the seller's rank. But wait,
- 18:38Speaker 2: there's of course more. Your commission also depends on the
- 18:41Speaker 2: model of the water machine that you sell, the number
- 18:43Speaker 2: of units you've sold historically, and even the payment method.
- 18:47Speaker 2: For example, a one A distributor might earn like two
- 18:50Speaker 2: hundred and ninety dollars per point on a Caangum water
- 18:53Speaker 2: machine sale, whereas somebody who is a six A distributor,
- 18:57Speaker 2: they're going to earn seventeen hundred and forty dollars per
- 19:00Speaker 2: point for the same sale, exactly the same sale. Are
- 19:03Speaker 2: you still with me? Good? Because here's where it gets worse.
- 19:06Speaker 2: If you want to keep your higher commissions, so you
- 19:09Speaker 2: want to stay at your six A level, you're going
- 19:12Speaker 2: to need to sell regularly within really strict time frames.
- 19:15Speaker 2: If you don't meet those quotas, your earning shrink faster
- 19:18Speaker 2: than your bank account after buying one of those machines,
- 19:20Speaker 2: and if you haven't made a sale in two years,
- 19:24Speaker 2: you actually get kicked out. You lose your ability to
- 19:27Speaker 2: earn entirely. These layers of complexity are designed to confuse recruits,
- 19:33Speaker 2: making them feel like the potential earnings are just around
- 19:36Speaker 2: the corner if they work hard enough and sell another machine.
- 19:39Speaker 2: It's lack of financial obstacle. Course, only the people at
- 19:42Speaker 2: the top of the pyramid, I mean structure derito really
- 19:47Speaker 2: stand a chance of winning the rest. They're left running
- 19:50Speaker 2: in circles. They're trying to decode the fine print while
- 19:53Speaker 2: sinking deeper and deeper into debt. It's no wonder so
- 19:56Speaker 2: many people quit before they even see a single dollar.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I have tens I would say nearly one hundred messages
- 20:02Speaker 2: in my Instagram dms when I asked about Kanga water
- 20:05Speaker 2: of people saying they had bought the six and a
- 20:07Speaker 2: half thousand dollar machine and seen not one dollar in
- 20:10Speaker 2: a return. Let's dig a little bit more into a
- 20:13Speaker 2: nagic's own earnings disclosures, because if their compensation plan wasn't
- 20:18Speaker 2: enough to scare you off, the reality of what people
- 20:21Speaker 2: actually earn might So starting at the bottom of the pyramid,
- 20:26Speaker 2: sixty percent of nalgic distributors sit at the lowest rank.
- 20:30Speaker 2: They earn a median yearly income of two hundred and
- 20:33Speaker 2: eighty five dollars. That's less than twenty four dollars a month,
- 20:37Speaker 2: barely enough for a coffee subscription, let alone a side hustle. Next,
- 20:41Speaker 2: we move to the second rank, so we step up
- 20:43Speaker 2: a little bit. We're only fourteen percent of distributors actually
- 20:47Speaker 2: quote make it already, we're seeing a massive drop off
- 20:50Speaker 2: of people advancing in their structure. The median income here
- 20:53Speaker 2: five hundred and eighty dollars per year. And then in
- 20:57Speaker 2: the third rank, where only five point three percent of
- 21:00Speaker 2: distributors get to sit, the medium income jumps to a
- 21:05Speaker 2: whopping one thousand and thirty two dollars every single year.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Let's put that into perspective. Though, eighty percent of participants
- 21:13Speaker 2: are earning a median of less than one thousand, one
- 21:17Speaker 2: hundred dollars a year. That's less than one hundred dollars
- 21:20Speaker 2: a month. And I don't think that we are forgetting this,
- 21:23Speaker 2: but the kang and water machine alone costs six and
- 21:27Speaker 2: a half thousand dollars, not to mention the training subscriptions,
- 21:31Speaker 2: the marketing materials, and potentially financing interest if you didn't
- 21:34Speaker 2: have the cash up front and went for a buy now,
- 21:36Speaker 2: pay later or some type of payday loan. Let's not
- 21:39Speaker 2: even get started on the time invested that is needed
- 21:42Speaker 2: to keep up with the sales quota and the recruiting
- 21:44Speaker 2: that you'll have to do. And now let's go all
- 21:46Speaker 2: the way to the top of the pyramid, where the
- 21:48Speaker 2: real money supposedly is at the very top tier, where
- 21:52Speaker 2: only zero point zero two percent of distributors sit. There
- 21:57Speaker 2: are exactly in the whole country get this, seven people, yep, seven,
- 22:03Speaker 2: according to the earnings disclosure, they're the ones who have
- 22:06Speaker 2: cracked that elusive million dollar mark that gets touted as
- 22:11Speaker 2: a realistic possibility. That's seven people out of more than
- 22:15Speaker 2: thirty thousand people that are currently signed up. So when
- 22:19Speaker 2: you hear claims of limitless earning potential, just remember the
- 22:23Speaker 2: actual numbers. The odds of success are staggeringly low, and
- 22:28Speaker 2: the cost of trying well they're painfully high. The reality is,
- 22:32Speaker 2: for most people, this isn't a business opportunity. It is
- 22:37Speaker 2: a financial trap. And let's not forget about the buzz
- 22:40Speaker 2: around legacy payments that they talk about. Oh my god,
- 22:45Speaker 2: Instagram post after Instagram post, I've seen so many tiktoks
- 22:49Speaker 2: about people saying I do this because I'm setting my
- 22:52Speaker 2: children up for a financially secure future with the Naji's
- 22:56Speaker 2: legacy payments. Because if there's one thing multi level Busines
- 23:00Speaker 2: says love, it's sprinkling vague promises of generational wealth to
- 23:04Speaker 2: real people in legacy payments are touted as one of
- 23:08Speaker 2: the ultimate rewards for hitting the top ranks in an ergic,
- 23:11Speaker 2: with the promise that these payments can even be passed
- 23:14Speaker 2: down to your children after you die. Sounds amazing, right,
- 23:18Speaker 2: I love the idea of intergenerational wealth. Right, So let's
- 23:22Speaker 2: peel back the layers here, because if there's one thing
- 23:25Speaker 2: I want, it's a clear story. When it comes to
- 23:27Speaker 2: multi level marketing businesses, like, if I'm going to do something,
- 23:30Speaker 2: I'm going to do it right. So you know what
- 23:32Speaker 2: I did. I picked up the phone and I called them,
- 23:34Speaker 2: and they hit me with the classic multi level marketing
- 23:37Speaker 2: run around. First a really vague line about it having
- 23:40Speaker 2: to do with your rank and then your sales, and
- 23:43Speaker 2: then I was told that if I joined as a distributor,
- 23:46Speaker 2: their quote sponsor would explain it all that I had
- 23:48Speaker 2: to join first. And then when I pressed further, because
- 23:51Speaker 2: you know it's a massive financial commitment, I was told
- 23:54Speaker 2: to send an email. Request the email obviously, they never replied.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Transper currency apparently isn't part of this package. So what's
- 24:04Speaker 2: the real story here? From the research that is available online,
- 24:07Speaker 2: these legacy payments aren't as simple as a nargic makes
- 24:10Speaker 2: them sound. In fact, when I call them, they can't
- 24:11Speaker 2: even explain them. Sure, if you reach and maintain a
- 24:15Speaker 2: certain rank through continued sales, you're going to become eligible
- 24:18Speaker 2: for these payments. But here's the catch. They aren't just
- 24:21Speaker 2: free and clear passive income streams like you'd get if
- 24:24Speaker 2: you invested money. It's not money that your money makes
- 24:27Speaker 2: making money to keep these payments going your kids or
- 24:30Speaker 2: whoever is going to inherit your coote legacy. They actually
- 24:33Speaker 2: have to take over your distributor spot and maintain sales
- 24:37Speaker 2: to remain eligible, so they're pipelining their business. That means
- 24:42Speaker 2: that these aren't true inheritance payments. There's nothing legacy about that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: They're just another way to keep people locked into the system,
- 24:49Speaker 2: and then a way to keep their kids locked into
- 24:51Speaker 2: the same system. Your legacy isn't wealth, it's ongoing pressure
- 24:55Speaker 2: to sell overpriced water machines. Misleading, absolutely, because while the
- 25:00Speaker 2: the idea of leaving something for your children is very powerful,
- 25:04Speaker 2: the reality is much closer to passing down a liability
- 25:07Speaker 2: than a financial windfall. Plus, these so called legacy payments
- 25:11Speaker 2: aren't even guaranteed. They reportedly happen at a najic's discretion,
- 25:16Speaker 2: meaning even if you managed to hit the elusive rank
- 25:18Speaker 2: and then you meet all of the lofty sales targets,
- 25:21Speaker 2: you might not actually see a sent and that's completely legal.
- 25:24Speaker 2: All right, I'm done here. I will probably talk about
- 25:27Speaker 2: these guys again, because you best believe I have a
- 25:30Speaker 2: lot of fun diving into the who, what, why, when,
- 25:32Speaker 2: where and how. I've seen every single Instagram, every single
- 25:36Speaker 2: TikTok on these people. I have called them, I have
- 25:40Speaker 2: stalked them. In fact, when I did call them and said, oh,
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'm going to need some more information, they very easily
- 25:47Speaker 2: handed over a password to their password protected website, thinking
- 25:50Speaker 2: that that was a way to get me in. Sorry, guys,
- 25:53Speaker 2: if you're listening to this, I did use that information
- 25:55Speaker 2: to make this podcast, maybe talking about you wrap it up.
- 26:00Speaker 2: What makes a Nergic stand out from other multi level
- 26:03Speaker 2: marketing companies is its position as what they call a
- 26:07Speaker 2: high ticket opportunity. The kang and water machines cost a
- 26:10Speaker 2: draw dropping six and a half grand, meaning recruits are
- 26:14Speaker 2: stepping into significant debt before they even get to sell one.
- 26:17Speaker 2: They can't even sell it on or put it on
- 26:19Speaker 2: Facebook Marketplace if they decide it's not for them. This
- 26:22Speaker 2: isn't the usual buy some inventory and get started up,
- 26:25Speaker 2: set up. This is a really high stakes game from
- 26:27Speaker 2: the get go, and that price tag creates a cascade
- 26:30Speaker 2: of problems, from predatory financing schemes to really relentless pressure
- 26:34Speaker 2: to recruit and sell just to stay afloat, and at
- 26:37Speaker 2: the end of the day, a Nargic and its Kanga
- 26:40Speaker 2: Water empire thrive on big promises and little accountability. They
- 26:44Speaker 2: don't just sell water, guys, They're selling dreams, and for
- 26:48Speaker 2: most people, those dreams come at a devastating costs. So
- 26:52Speaker 2: what do I want you to take away from this?
- 26:54Speaker 2: If something so sounds too good to be true, my friend,
- 26:57Speaker 2: it probably is. I'm going to stick to Tap. You
- 27:00Speaker 2: should too. It's cheaper, just as effective, and it's not
- 27:03Speaker 2: going to lock you into a lifetime of debt. Remember,
- 27:07Speaker 2: you deserve better than overpriced pseudoscience wrapped in false hope
- 27:11Speaker 2: and water. If today's episode fired you up just as
- 27:15Speaker 2: much as it did me, and you want to join
