Ohio16 Update: Elizabeth Siders Ordered to Undergo Insanity and Competency Evaluation
New court records in the Ohio 16 case show that Elizabeth Siders has been ordered to undergo an in-person forensic evaluation to determine both whether she’s competent to stand trial and whether a not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity issue applies. The order, filed in Vinton County, says the examiner’s report will be submitted under seal within 30 days, adding another unresolved question to a case where authorities say sixteen children were removed from a Hamden, Ohio, home because of severe neglect.
