- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Duff's here to talk a little bit about YouTube marketing,
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: which is what we're going to talk about.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: So here next month, actually, I've invited another marketer, Miles Cuss.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Some of you in the group may know him.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: A lot of you probably don't, at least not quite yet.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I invited Miles to talk about what he's done for the Client Advisory Board Center
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: that he's put on for Scott McNair that ended up being A huge source of referrals for
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: the law firm.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And so he's going to be talking to us next month.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: And today I have Jeff with me on the live stream.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: And he's going to lead off talking with you guys a little bit about YouTube marketing.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And Jeff,
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: just for a recap for you,
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: because we have scarcely emailed,
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: we're talking with a group of mostly law firm, personal injury law firm marketers.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: We have a few attorneys who subscribe to my Substack and watch my stuff.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: But, you know,
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I think when we first set this up,
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: we said like, hey,
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: like if you could give advice to this group of people who are trying
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: to get stuff started for their law firm.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: So I'll let Jeff take it over.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: And also just I keep thinking of stuff that I should cover.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: But we have this slated for an hour and a half on our calendars.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: But I'm going to let Jeff go through and do his thing,
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: and then I'll give you some updates at the end of the call.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So we may not go all the way to 2.30,
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: just heads up, if you have something you urgently need to do this afternoon.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: I have to pick up my son from kindergarten.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: But without further delay,
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: thank you so much, Jeff, for being on the show with us, or the livestream.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: No, it's my pleasure.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so depending on if people have questions,
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: you can interrupt me as I go through some of this.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: I think the hard part for me is I want to make sure and lay out kind of
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: the people know about YouTube and social media,
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: but I think a lot of people don't understand the multiple areas.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to share my screen and go through
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Part of a little bit of a just not formal presentation,
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: but some stuff I just wanted to go through with some visuals as opposed
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: to you guys just getting bored listening to me talk about this.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: And this is part of a PowerPoint here, but I'm going to start back.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: One of the things I do is I like to present.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: I have done this for my own firms.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: You know, yes, I have a business, YouTube Rainmakers, where we help attorneys do these things.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: But the part for me is,
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: you know, I have the fourth largest legal YouTube channel in the country.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: And what I've been able to do is learn a lot of lessons.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: This became my lab, right?
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: So my own YouTube channel and my own social media platforms,
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: I was able to dig deep into and really learn about this.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And now this was actually taken,
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: this snapshot was taken back in,
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: you know, it's a year from February 21st, 2024 to February 19th, 2025.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: So this is old,
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: but even then when I pulled this up,
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: if you had told me that it was possible I could get 156 million views a year,
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: add an extra 281,000 subscribers and be able to have over 400,000 subscribers over
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: the life of the channel,
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: it would have been hard for me to imagine that that was possible.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: For a legal YouTube channel, because this is Hampton Law is the name of the channel.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: But this is really the future is limitless on YouTube because
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: so very few attorneys are attempting to do this.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: And most marketers,
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: quite frankly,
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: are not integrating video marketing in properly into a lot of what I'm seeing
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: that could be done and what I've been able to test.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: So myself, I'm now up to 657,000 subscribers.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: The channel gets 15 to 20 million views a month.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: And I don't run ads on this.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I will tell you,
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: there's a way where you can do an ad campaign strategy where you tie
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: in great organic content.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Because what I have found is great organic content really helps your ads.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: If you have really good organic content that really grabs attention and it also is
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: a great place to test Good content for ads.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: And so that's a big part of what I've done there.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: And so for my own firm,
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: it's made us,
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: it's a criminal offense firm here,
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: it made me an extra $3 million a year in client revenue.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: We get an extra 300 to 350 local leads a month.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Not all of them can afford what we offer as our services,
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: but we do have a lot of them that call in pretty ready
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: because they've already watched a lot of our contents.
