- 0:03Speaker 1: She's on The Money radio show with Victoria, Divine, Paul,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Welcome so that she's on the Money podcast, the
- 0:12Speaker 1: podcast for millennials who want financial freedom.
- 0:15Speaker 2: What a show? Who would have thought that one up?
- 0:17Speaker 1: I love the way you laminated that for me, so
- 0:19Speaker 1: I can read it perfectly as well.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah, well you didn't even read it perfectly, But that's okay.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We will move on.
- 0:24Speaker 1: It's called creative spin. I'm putting my creative spin on it.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Trash. Where's Mitch?
- 0:30Speaker 1: He said that he's too busy for us. He has
- 0:32Speaker 1: way too many shows and he's got guys.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You know what, I've got to go straight onto this
- 0:36Speaker 2: other show. As though Britt and Laura are more important
- 0:39Speaker 2: than us.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was going to say something else that's rhymed with
- 0:42Speaker 1: Britt more like, no.
- 0:44Speaker 2: We love them. I'm a big fan of the life
- 0:47Speaker 2: on cut me too.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be cool. Hey, we've got a
- 0:50Speaker 1: big show this week. But before we get to that,
- 0:53Speaker 1: how was your holiday?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Mate?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Oh my god, it was so good. It felt like
- 0:57Speaker 2: I was kind of celebrating. It did feel like it
- 1:00Speaker 2: just kind of you should because I see me on
- 1:01Speaker 2: my Instagram the night before I left, I was hectic.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I was so overwhelmed. If you didn't obviously not everyone
- 1:09Speaker 2: follows me on Instagram.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Is actually why don't they? What is wrong with you?
- 1:12Speaker 2: My Instagram is a bit of a shit show, you
- 1:15Speaker 2: could say. So I found out the night before, flying
- 1:20Speaker 2: out at five am to London that I had one
- 1:25Speaker 2: nonfiction Book of the Year and also Podcast of the
- 1:29Speaker 2: Year at the Max Awards, and I was just like hysterical.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I was crying. I was left home alone because my
- 1:36Speaker 2: partner was still at work, and I was just like
- 1:38Speaker 2: so happy and overwhelmed and tired and all of these things.
- 1:42Speaker 2: And I went on Instagram Stories and was like, oh god, guys,
- 1:45Speaker 2: like I'm so excited, like this has just happened. Wanted
- 1:48Speaker 2: to share it with my friends, but I think I
- 1:50Speaker 2: sent a whole heap of my friends into a spin
- 1:53Speaker 2: because they're like, what's wrong? Like are you stressed about
- 1:55Speaker 2: leaving you this? And I'm like, nah, I want an
- 1:57Speaker 2: award and they're like, oh, like okay, no, no, but
- 2:01Speaker 2: you care no.
- 2:02Speaker 1: But the reason why is because you're so bloody amazing
- 2:04Speaker 1: mate that we just expected. So that's what it is,
- 2:07Speaker 1: all right.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And it was like I got one and I was like,
- 2:09Speaker 2: oh my gosh, this is wild because there were two
- 2:12Speaker 2: awards nights at the same time, and I was heartbroken
- 2:15Speaker 2: because I'd already booked the holiday and they were both
- 2:18Speaker 2: in Sydney, so I couldn't attend them. So I'm like
- 2:20Speaker 2: on YouTube watching and I was just like by myself
- 2:25Speaker 2: with my phone being like wait, wait, that's me what
- 2:28Speaker 2: And it was kind of funny as well, because with awards,
- 2:30Speaker 2: if you can't be there on the night, they're like, Heyvy, like,
- 2:34Speaker 2: if you win and you're not able to be there,
- 2:36Speaker 2: could you pre record a speech?
- 2:38Speaker 1: But hang on a second, do they kind of know?
- 2:40Speaker 2: They don't tell you that you won. They're just kind
- 2:42Speaker 2: of like the.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Do you think though, though you go, oh, that will
- 2:45Speaker 1: happen England night.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Look, honestly, I just don't have as much confidence as
- 2:49Speaker 2: you think I do. So I was like, when is
- 2:51Speaker 2: a finance book going to win non Fiction Book of
- 2:54Speaker 2: the Year when it's your book, Matte. But like, there
- 2:57Speaker 2: was so many great people that were up for that award,
- 3:00Speaker 2: and I was like, I loved those books. I'm a
- 3:01Speaker 2: bit of a reader, so I was like, there's no
- 3:04Speaker 2: way she's on the money. It's gonna win, but I'm
- 3:06Speaker 2: in a feigne excitement. So if you saw my acceptance speech,
- 3:09Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, so grateful this that the
- 3:11Speaker 2: other like did all the things. And then then in
- 3:13Speaker 2: reality I'm like hysterical crying on the floor, like I'm
- 3:16Speaker 2: kind of glad I wasn't there.
- 3:17Speaker 1: No, but you know what, that's why we love you mate,
- 3:19Speaker 1: very well deserved. And speaking of your Instagram being a
- 3:22Speaker 1: shit show, something that wasn't a shit show was the
- 3:25Speaker 1: show that we did today.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Oh it was a banger. I reckon it was a banger?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Was it because you guys bought me donuts before?
- 3:31Speaker 1: What's your birthday as well? Yeah?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Like donuts Birthday week stretched out ten out of ten.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Absolutely love it. And speaking of travel as well, we
- 3:40Speaker 1: did a little thing called Guilty Pleasures, which I love.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You know that stuff that you absolutely spend all of
- 3:45Speaker 1: your money on. You're like, oh, I probably shouldn't. How
- 3:47Speaker 1: to call a call up and say that she spent
- 3:49Speaker 1: what like five grand on a Gold Coast trip.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and she only paid for like four notes of accommodation.
- 3:55Speaker 2: She probably stayed at that bougie a Sachi hotel.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I was about to say, that's a Victoria, divine bougie.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I've never been there. I do not want to go there.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That is not my vibe at all. If I go
- 4:06Speaker 2: to Queensland, I'm gonna get an AIRBN beach close to
- 4:09Speaker 2: the beach, sleep.
- 4:10Speaker 1: On the beach. I don't even care. Also, I was
- 4:13Speaker 1: much younger telling their dreaming, which I love as well
- 4:17Speaker 1: because there are some clowns out there on Facebook.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I'm still salty about the Polarates machine though I didn't
- 4:22Speaker 2: get to rant on the radio because you're trying to
- 4:24Speaker 2: wrap me so that you could place it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I wasn't.
- 4:27Speaker 2: It was because you were like, get it going Victoria.
- 4:29Speaker 2: But like, what is a Pilates machine? Eight grand? I
- 4:33Speaker 2: could buy a legit calf for eight grand.
- 4:35Speaker 1: No doubt. What's that thing? Is that the car I'm doing?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Like a steering thing I've just noticed? But no, the
- 4:42Speaker 1: Polarti thing. It's not called the ring of fire. It's
- 4:44Speaker 1: called the no I know, Like that's why.
- 4:48Speaker 2: The pilaratees ring. Yeah, but I think I don't know
- 4:50Speaker 2: what it's called.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But I do.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I think it's called a pilaratees ring.
- 4:53Speaker 1: No, I don't think it's called a pilarate's ring. Mate
- 4:55Speaker 1: it's not does what it says on the box. All right,
- 4:58Speaker 1: hang on, I'm just googling it ring. Careful what you're
- 5:02Speaker 1: google hair trapped with the work? You go pilarates here
- 5:05Speaker 1: we go. Oh my god, it is literally called a
- 5:08Speaker 1: polarts ring. See.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I was like, is there a fancy word. I don't
- 5:11Speaker 2: think there's a fancy word. I'm just calling it a
- 5:14Speaker 2: pilaratees ring. I don't think there's any need for that
- 5:17Speaker 2: to have a fancy word.
- 5:18Speaker 1: No, speaking of fancy though, the show is a damn
- 5:20Speaker 1: fancy and it's about to start now. So here is
- 5:23Speaker 1: the She's on the Money radio.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Show and Mitch is on it, just not on the preamble.
- 5:29Speaker 1: We can't afford him to do.
- 5:30Speaker 2: This is really expensive. Do you know he went to
- 5:33Speaker 2: the legit logish.
- 5:35Speaker 1: No money win and not having Mitch on the show.
- 5:37Speaker 4: This is She's on the Money radio show.
- 5:40Speaker 1: She's on the Money radio show with Australia's number one
- 5:43Speaker 1: finance podcaster. That's you, Victoria Devine and Mitch Churry as well.
- 5:49Speaker 5: We're all thanks for the big preamble, by the way,
- 5:51Speaker 5: number one podcast.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And then mitchcher once the cash cock go and do
- 5:55Speaker 1: something with your life. Mitch, and then I will put
- 5:58Speaker 1: it on the top of the sheet. Fair Fair you
- 6:01Speaker 1: know who has done.
- 6:03Speaker 2: On the Life on Cut show. Yeah, he's basically famous.
- 6:06Speaker 2: He's Aley. So he went to the logis wow.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Okay, move on. Who are we all thanks to?
- 6:10Speaker 1: I was going to say, do you know who is
- 6:12Speaker 1: pretty special? Budget Judget Directs. They're the winner of can
- 6:15Speaker 1: Stars Insurer of the Year Award twenty twenty two. Budget
- 6:18Speaker 1: Direct Insurance solved.
- 6:20Speaker 2: What are we going to do now?
- 6:21Speaker 1: Though?
- 6:22Speaker 4: This guilty pleasure?
- 6:28Speaker 6: Guilty pleasure?
- 6:30Speaker 1: I like, how good you are at radio Victoria. Look
- 6:33Speaker 1: pre empting stuff. Anyway, we are doing our guilty pleasures.
- 6:37Speaker 1: We want to know on thirty one oh six five
- 6:38Speaker 1: give us a buzz right now here on she's on
- 6:40Speaker 1: the Money radio show. What's your guilty pleasure? How much
- 6:44Speaker 1: are you spending on it? Bonnie? You've called us up, Bonnie?
- 6:47Speaker 1: What is your guilty pleasure?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Travel?
- 6:49Speaker 7: I love travel.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Oh that's a guilty pleasure, though, that's not like Mitch
- 6:54Speaker 2: Cherry's seventeen thousand dollars of uber eats.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah, Bonnie, that like you can sleep at night if
- 6:58Speaker 5: you're spending your money on that's not guilty definitely not.
- 7:01Speaker 6: How often are you traveling.
- 7:03Speaker 7: Three times this year?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Oh?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Okay, so fair.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I do budget for it a little bit, a
- 7:10Speaker 7: little bit.
- 7:11Speaker 2: What does that mean? How much are you spending? Are
- 7:12Speaker 2: we talking like bougie five style hotels? Are you doing
- 7:16Speaker 2: like hostel swears that.
- 7:18Speaker 7: I have two little kids now, so that sets me
- 7:20Speaker 7: back a little bit.
- 7:21Speaker 1: More tasty kids.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I can't believe.
- 7:24Speaker 7: I literally went through the Gold Coast and I spent
- 7:27Speaker 7: four nights at my parents house and we spent for
- 7:31Speaker 7: eight nights only fouri an accommodation about five thousand dollars.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, you could have done like a whole
- 7:39Speaker 2: family holiday to Bali, all inclusive, fancy.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Resort, business class that.
- 7:44Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Like maybe you do need to be a bit
- 7:46Speaker 2: better at it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But you know what, Bonnie, as they always say on Instagram, travels,
- 7:51Speaker 1: the only thing that makes you richer that interest at
- 7:55Speaker 1: the going to say just checking into jets.
- 8:00Speaker 2: That was my husband whatever pilot were, Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Just in the cockpit with babe. Hilarious. Al Right, who

- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Like when I've got that little bit of spare cash,
- 8:20Speaker 3: I'm at Country Road spending a couple of hundred bucks,
- 8:22Speaker 3: so you can.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Hear one thing there for your couple of hundred bucks.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I here, though, are you making you said they're spending savor?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Are we just throwing cash their way?
- 8:30Speaker 5: Look?
- 8:30Speaker 3: If it's spending sav on, that's even better. But if
- 8:33Speaker 3: that money just burning my wile us still spend it? Like,
- 8:36Speaker 3: it's just a what do we buyl?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Like?
- 8:38Speaker 6: We all have a store like that, Victoria?
- 8:40Speaker 5: Is there one store for you that you just can't
- 8:42Speaker 5: resist walking through a Westfield?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Oh?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Look, I don't know. I feel like I'm less yeah,

- 8:57Speaker 2: Are you buying the I know where?
- 8:59Speaker 8: Are we not tea towers? That's boring, that's just that
- 9:04Speaker 8: I get excited about.
- 9:05Speaker 3: No, no, no, I don't find that exciting. I find
- 9:08Speaker 3: the dresses, the pants, you know, the jumpers, all that stuff.
- 9:11Speaker 2: They just fit really well though, and they're good quality,
- 9:14Speaker 2: so I get it. I'm probably meant to be telling

- 9:32Speaker 2: What have you got?
- 9:34Speaker 8: I get a blow dry once a week, and then
- 9:37Speaker 8: I get my roots colored once every week, or every
- 9:42Speaker 8: ten days because my graves are so bad.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, but I can sympathize with that. Is
- 9:48Speaker 2: there nothing better in this world than a good blow waves?
- 9:51Speaker 8: Oh my god?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Is going to travro buck blow wave? No comment?
- 9:59Speaker 2: Oh my god? You go to the blow in the
- 10:01Speaker 2: city because I am obsessed with the blow It's like
- 10:04Speaker 2: a walking, walking out blow driver. Ten out of ten,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I know.
- 10:08Speaker 8: And how cool is it that you don't have to
- 10:10Speaker 8: wash and blow dry?
- 10:12Speaker 2: This morning show isn't even a guilty pleasure. This is finance.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Advice the radio show.

- 10:30Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Look, if you have ever thought somebody is asking way
- 10:36Speaker 1: too much on Facebook Marketplace, we're going to play telling

- 10:54Speaker 1: Mitch Cheery as well. Guys, it is time to do this.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Tell them they're dreaming. Everyone say it together because you
- 11:02Speaker 1: have to say it with an Aussie.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Garr already one, two three.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Tell them their dream Wow.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Yes, a terrible segment, Yeah, I have no, it's no.
- 11:12Speaker 6: This is good radio because if you have a universal
- 11:14Speaker 6: feeling to be.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Scrolling through Facebook Marketplace looking for a bargain, I'm going
- 11:18Speaker 5: to be blown away by how much someone thinks they're
- 11:20Speaker 5: terrible stuff is worth.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Even terrible stuff. I've got a personal one. After you've
- 11:24Speaker 2: shared some bangers that I'm just mad about.
- 11:27Speaker 6: You found one, Victoria.
- 11:29Speaker 2: It's not even a bad thing. Tell me what you've
- 11:31Speaker 2: got though, because I know that I've asked you to
- 11:32Speaker 2: come to the table with a few things.
- 11:34Speaker 5: But I've been scrolling on Facebook mark and my algorithm
- 11:36Speaker 5: so screwed up it things.
- 11:37Speaker 6: I actually want to buy these.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Let's go tell me how much you think this person
- 11:40Speaker 5: in Adelaide has listed a fake brand new They led
- 11:44Speaker 5: me with fake fake brand new Air Jordan's limited edition,
- 11:47Speaker 5: which I don't see.
- 11:48Speaker 1: How how is it limited edition because they only made
- 11:51Speaker 1: three fake copies?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Okay, oh, like twenty bucks. They're fake shoes.
- 11:56Speaker 5: They're asking fifty, but it was initially one hundred, and
- 11:58Speaker 5: they've given them fifty percent, oh hours of their.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Way fake shoes for so you can look cool and
- 12:04Speaker 2: not spend the money. Mate. Jeez, well, I don't like
- 12:06Speaker 2: fake things because I don't know where to get the
- 12:08Speaker 2: good fake things.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Victoria, I can see your Prama wallet that you've got.
- 12:12Speaker 2: There, it's my Pramo wallet. Yeah, it's got an lvy
- 12:14Speaker 2: simple on the back.
- 12:16Speaker 6: I gotta say, I love your Goachi watch.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, have you sent my Channell shoes?
- 12:22Speaker 6: Oh you were in that with a lily button scar.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, gucky guky and the genterful Gary
- 12:27Speaker 1: perfume that you've got. Fantastic.
- 12:29Speaker 2: This is terribly like the tip.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Anyway, Hey, I'm I'm a big video game guy. Of course,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I am a Sony PlayStation four twentieth Anniversary Limited Edition,
- 12:42Speaker 1: five hundred gigabytes. How much you pay for that?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Three hundred dollars?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 12:47Speaker 2: Is that a thing?
- 12:48Speaker 6: Five hundred five hundred all right?
- 12:50Speaker 1: A dollar per gigabyte? Eric and Mitch.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so Undsair's that's good.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Ma, Yeah, no, no, no, two thousand dollars.
- 12:58Speaker 6: I've got one more. I've got one more.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Let's end it on this because I think it's a
- 13:00Speaker 5: high and I think Victoria, you might want to purchase these.
- 13:03Speaker 6: So this is in Sydney.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Someone is listening, Molly caare unisex pads for incontinents?
- 13:09Speaker 2: H what? Yeah? Okay? How much pads? Please sell them
- 13:14Speaker 2: to me?
- 13:14Speaker 6: Well, there's MAXI pads. There's twelve in the box.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Twelve to ten bucks. I think it's fifteen bucks, do
- 13:20Speaker 2: you know what? I feel like this might be a bargain.
- 13:23Speaker 2: We just don't know how much pads usually cost.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I'll just put in a off of Victoria. What's your address,
- 13:28Speaker 5: I'll get it sent straight.

- 13:32Speaker 2: on this these are obviously things that you guys aren't
- 13:35Speaker 2: trying to buy. I had this brain wave the other
- 13:37Speaker 2: day and I was like, do you know what I
- 13:38Speaker 2: really want to do? More pilarates? Maybe I should look
- 13:40Speaker 2: at buying one of those Polartes reformer things. I now
- 13:42Speaker 2: have a little bit of space in my house. Surely
- 13:44Speaker 2: they're not that expensive. Thought it was going to be
- 13:46Speaker 2: a money win, because polarates classes are really expensive. I
- 13:50Speaker 2: just assumed it was a mistake and messed you here
- 13:52Speaker 2: and said, hey, you're really close to me. We'd love
- 13:54Speaker 2: to pick it up on the weekend. What's the actual price, though,
- 13:56Speaker 2: me thinking maybe eight hundred dollars? No, no, no, she did
- 13:59Speaker 2: meet eight thousand dollars. That's how much they are. I'll
- 14:01Speaker 2: be sticking to my classes, thank you, sir.

- 14:26Speaker 2: and this week we're going to talk about Karina who
- 14:28Speaker 2: wants some tips on how to avoid scammers using text
- 14:30Speaker 2: messages after she fell victim. But we'll answer that right
- 14:33Speaker 2: after this quick quick music break.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I believe that pull them Wow. Okay, the nineteen eighties
- 14:40Speaker 1: called they want their radio announcing styleback.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Victoria, Hey, that's why you're here.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Get to that. Next on She's on the Money Radio
- 14:47Speaker 1: show for your Saturday morning.
- 14:49Speaker 4: This is She's on the Money radio show.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Victoria Devine there, absolutely loving the music. This morning She's
- 14:55Speaker 1: on the Money Radio Show with Australia's number one finance
- 14:58Speaker 1: podcast a Victoria Devine and Mitch Cheery. Guys, it's all
- 15:02Speaker 1: thanks to Budget to erect Hello, Mitch Age the winner
- 15:08Speaker 1: of it can Star's Insurer of the Year Award twenty
- 15:11Speaker 1: twenty two Budget Direct Insurance. So let's do this, guys.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Yeah, So every week we bring someone's financial story on
- 15:21Speaker 5: air and we get Victoria's advice on what they should do.
- 15:24Speaker 5: So we had this. This is on our Facebook group.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Everyone that she's on the Money Facebook group.
- 15:28Speaker 4: This is true.
- 15:28Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty thousand of you throw in questions
- 15:32Speaker 2: at us. I'm here for it, but calm down. Only
- 15:35Speaker 2: the good ones make it to the radio show.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Wow, Karina is the cream of the crop. So this
- 15:39Speaker 5: is what she said, right, she said, I've had major
- 15:42Speaker 5: money loss. I've fallen victim to an incredibly elaborate and
- 15:45Speaker 5: convincing scam. Godly everyone, don't they these scams in a nutshell?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Right?
- 15:49Speaker 6: She says, I have stupidly.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Transferred money to the scammers out of my savings banking
- 15:54Speaker 5: with online bank wise formally transfer wise okay, technical Other
- 15:58Speaker 5: than getting in touch with my bank and the police,
- 16:00Speaker 5: is there anything else I can do?
- 16:03Speaker 6: Or the Post?
- 16:03Speaker 5: Apparently it was an Australia Post scam message, which are
- 16:06Speaker 5: just getting so much more prevalent Victoria.
- 16:09Speaker 2: They are getting terrifying. The only thing I'm disappointed about,
- 16:12Speaker 2: because I'm quite pervy.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I want to know how much it was?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Is that bad? Like? Is it five dollars or is
- 16:18Speaker 2: it fifty thousand?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Like?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Where are we sitting? But scamming these days is getting wild.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And to think that Australia Post isn't gonna scam you, well,
- 16:27Speaker 2: scam it's pretending to be Australia Post and I've seen
- 16:30Speaker 2: the same thing go around. Essentially, if you get a
- 16:33Speaker 2: text message from your bank or any type of financial
- 16:36Speaker 2: institution with a link, don't click it, full stop, end
- 16:40Speaker 2: of story. Your bank is never going to send you
- 16:42Speaker 2: a link and be like, hey, do this. And if
- 16:45Speaker 2: they call you and you get in the HEBGB vibes,
- 16:47Speaker 2: it is well within reason to be like, hey, TRIV,
- 16:50Speaker 2: thanks so much calling me. You're welcome, absolutely would love
- 16:52Speaker 2: to have this chat. What number can I call you
- 16:55Speaker 2: back on? I'll just give you a buzz back because
- 16:57Speaker 2: you know, my friend got scammed recently. Just don't want
- 16:59Speaker 2: to tap to pay. The person on the phone is
- 17:01Speaker 2: going to fully understand if they're not a scammer and
- 17:04Speaker 2: go all right, it's thirteen one oh sixty five, and
- 17:07Speaker 2: then you google that number, make sure it is the
- 17:09Speaker 2: bank's number, give them a buzz back and you'll be
- 17:11Speaker 2: transferred through and you can solve your dilemma and not
- 17:14Speaker 2: get scammed. Don't click links. Banks and any type of
- 17:17Speaker 2: financial institution is never going to ask you for your
- 17:20Speaker 2: personal information via a text message. They're never going to
- 17:24Speaker 2: text you or email you and be like Hey, could
- 17:26Speaker 2: you just reply and make sure this is you. I've
- 17:29Speaker 2: had a few recently. Actually I should post them on
- 17:31Speaker 2: my inster stories.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I also find if you get those emails, if you
- 17:35Speaker 1: click on the actual email address you go.
- 17:38Speaker 2: There's like a million different numbers and letters and stuff
- 17:41Speaker 2: after it. We've just got to be super vigilant because
- 17:44Speaker 2: it's twenty twenty two, guys, everybody is so much smarter.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And she was saying that she thought she got a
- 17:50Speaker 2: call from NAB because that's a number that popped up.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And so that's why I'm saying, just like, say you
- 17:54Speaker 2: want to hang up and you want to call them
- 17:56Speaker 2: back on your own accord, because then you can be
- 17:58Speaker 2: very sure of who you're getting in content act with.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And I think the other thing here is we really
- 18:02Speaker 2: need to talk about it because if there's an Australia
- 18:05Speaker 2: post scam going around, we need to actually know about
- 18:08Speaker 2: that and also report it to them Google Australia post Scam.
- 18:12Speaker 2: They've probably got a website set up for you to
- 18:14Speaker 2: actually report this or report it to Australia Post, report
- 18:17Speaker 2: it to your bank, or report it to transfer Wise.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Make sure that you are communicating this to stop it
- 18:22Speaker 2: happening to other people.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Or just call my mum Chrissy Robot because she messages
- 18:26Speaker 1: me with every scam under the sun.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I loves the kind that's gonna send me a chain email.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'll be like, if you don't reply to this chain email,
- 18:34Speaker 2: you're gonna have dad luck for seven years.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Why does that not surprise me? Anyway? You got a
- 18:38Speaker 1: question to hear this up on socials? Just search She's
- 18:40Speaker 1: on The Money coming up next, Mitch. We're gonna do
- 18:42Speaker 1: Super Savi Saturday.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Yeah we are, Baby Super Savior Saturday. Do anyone else
- 18:46Speaker 6: get excited for Super Savi Saturday?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Just?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Oh you too? No? I do like it. I tell
- 18:51Speaker 1: all of my friends.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Best segment ever.
- 18:54Speaker 1: That's coming up next. She's on the Money Radio show
- 18:57Speaker 1: right here for the Saturday morning.
- 18:58Speaker 4: This is She's on the Money Radio show.
- 19:03Speaker 1: She's on the Money Radio Show, Australia's number one finance
- 19:05Speaker 1: podcast of Victoria Devine is over there, Mixedtury is Wealthy
- 19:09Speaker 1: a Saturday morning and it's your favorite time, Victoria, because
- 19:12Speaker 1: it's time to do this simple save this Saturday.
- 19:16Speaker 2: All right, this week I am bringing you a bang
- 19:18Speaker 2: up from the She's on the Money podcast because I
- 19:20Speaker 2: always ask people like, what's your tips and tricks? I
- 19:23Speaker 2: want to know, And people write into us each and
- 19:25Speaker 2: every single week what their money wins of the week are.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Like on Mondays, we post a thread in our Facebook
- 19:31Speaker 2: group and it goes off like hundreds, if not thousands
- 19:34Speaker 2: of comments of people being like, I saved money like this,
- 19:36Speaker 2: or I did this or did that all. Some people
- 19:38Speaker 2: are even like, oh my god, money lost this week.
- 19:40Speaker 6: I've seen that on the Facebook group.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I spent seventeen thousand dollars on oubreaks.
- 19:45Speaker 1: So but the good thing with that is you're saving
- 19:48Speaker 1: time because you're working smart and not hard at getting
- 19:50Speaker 1: other people here.
- 19:51Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I am actually a content genius. But the thing there
- 19:56Speaker 2: is it's not just for the content guys. It means
- 19:58Speaker 2: I don't even have to look up money saving hacks
- 20:01Speaker 2: so that I can save money. And this week someone
- 20:04Speaker 2: told me that they booked a holiday by buying gift
- 20:08Speaker 2: cards but using shop back, which is a platform that
- 20:11Speaker 2: you can use to get some cash back on your purchases.
- 20:14Speaker 2: But they bought their gift cards through shop back, got
- 20:16Speaker 2: five percent cash back, and then booked their own holiday
- 20:20Speaker 2: with a five percent discount on the travel gift cards
- 20:22Speaker 2: they'd bought. Yeah, what a genius.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, some people are just way too smart with this stuff.
- 20:27Speaker 2: But these cash back apps like shop back are genius.
- 20:30Speaker 2: It's money back on purchases you were going to make anyway.
- 20:33Speaker 2: And you guys know that I do have a good
- 20:34Speaker 2: relationship with them, But this is definitely not sponsored. I'm
- 20:37Speaker 2: just a fan. But they now have a Chrome extension
- 20:41Speaker 2: so you don't even have to go check the app.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It just tells you that you're going to get.
- 20:44Speaker 5: A person that is sensational.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I thought that would be music to your ears. You
- 20:50Speaker 2: are welcome, mitch Chery, but it's genuinely something that I
- 20:54Speaker 2: was like, Oh, I just got back from a holiday, right,
- 20:56Speaker 2: would you like to talk about it?
- 20:57Speaker 6: I don't have time, sadly don't know.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Sorry, sorry, moving on, moving on, t But I wish
- 21:01Speaker 2: i'd known that because I also booked my holiday through
- 21:04Speaker 2: flight Center. They got a five percent discount. Flight Center
- 21:07Speaker 2: weren't giving me that? Were they? No genius?
- 21:10Speaker 6: Okay, more tips? I'm hungry for more, all right.
- 21:12Speaker 2: The next tip also stolen from the Facebook group. But
- 21:16Speaker 2: we're all about recycling content. It's working smarter, not harder.
- 21:21Speaker 2: It's usual clothesline. Are you ready for this?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 21:23Speaker 2: One of out, she's on the money. Community members had
- 21:26Speaker 2: calculated how much her tumble dryer was costing her and
- 21:29Speaker 2: it was a couple of one hundred bucks a year,
- 21:32Speaker 2: and now she's using her clothesline and saving a whole
- 21:35Speaker 2: heap of money, which is something I'm not willing to do.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I love my tumble dryer and I will continue to
- 21:39Speaker 2: use it because have you not ever gotten out of
- 21:42Speaker 2: the shower Ye to a hot, fluffy towel. Oh that's
- 21:45Speaker 2: worth a lot of money to me.
- 21:46Speaker 6: The best.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Or throw your jumper in the tumble dryer, not even
- 21:50Speaker 1: because it needs drying in winter and then throwing it
- 21:52Speaker 1: on at night.
- 21:53Speaker 2: It is the also my way of ironing. So if
- 21:55Speaker 2: you ever see me in a shirt and you're like, wow,
- 21:58Speaker 2: Victoria is so put together. That shirt is looking crisp, Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 2: right the way it is, Irony. I pulled it out
- 22:05Speaker 2: of the tumble dryer, I gave it a little flick
- 22:07Speaker 2: and I'm ready to go. If the collar wasn't crisp enough,
- 22:10Speaker 2: touched it up with my hair straight.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Now I want another tip.
- 22:13Speaker 2: You want another tip? You didn't like that?
- 22:15Speaker 6: No, I want more hungry for tips?

- 22:39Speaker 2: works by just downloading the app and each and every
- 22:41Speaker 2: single week they have like a little deal on there.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Last week cheeseburger meal and a Sunday four dollars.
- 22:47Speaker 6: That a good pride.
- 22:48Speaker 2: That's a good price, right, so you like book it
- 22:50Speaker 2: through the app. You can go through drive through. They've
- 22:52Speaker 2: now started asking like, oh do you have a code,
- 22:54Speaker 2: and you're like, what are you talking about? They're talking
- 22:56Speaker 2: about the macas app. You give them your four digit code.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Up comes your order. You don't even have to talk
- 23:01Speaker 2: to the person for that long. Pay my four dollars,
- 23:03Speaker 2: drive away happy?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Wow?
- 23:05Speaker 5: Wait can you get a steamed barn on the mac
- 23:06Speaker 5: is app? Because I ay care about steam.
