- 0:05Speaker 1: Appologie production. Today's topic is I don't have time. It's
- 0:14Speaker 1: something that is such a common theme in today's society,
- 0:18Speaker 1: especially with mums and how we're juggling so many balls
- 0:22Speaker 1: in the air. I always use that term so you
- 0:24Speaker 1: get such a good enogy is yep, you know, some
- 0:27Speaker 1: fall down and it's really hard to juggle. I can't
- 0:28Speaker 1: even juggle. But a lot of us use that I
- 0:32Speaker 1: don't have time, and I just wanted to give a
- 0:35Speaker 1: different perspective and a different language. Switch that really really
- 0:38Speaker 1: helped me. So when you say I don't have time,
- 0:42Speaker 1: catch yourself and be like ooh, change the language to
- 0:45Speaker 1: that's not a priority for me. So at the end
- 0:47Speaker 1: of the day, you will always find time for what's
- 0:49Speaker 1: important for you. And I'm not saying it's not hard.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I get it. I've got kids, I run multiple businesses,
- 0:53Speaker 1: so do you. I get it so valid. But when
- 0:56Speaker 1: you switch it to that's not a priority to me,
- 0:59Speaker 1: you feel an energetic shift in your body because it's like, oh, interesting, Yep,
- 1:04Speaker 1: that's actually not important to me. And why I say
- 1:06Speaker 1: I want to call ourselves out is because there's certain
- 1:09Speaker 1: things that I say I don't have time for and
- 1:10Speaker 1: clearly I do have time for yeah, same with you. Yeah,
- 1:13Speaker 1: the first one that I do, I say I don't
- 1:16Speaker 1: have time to read and I don't have time to meditate.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But I would love to track how much time I
- 1:23Speaker 1: spend editing content, editing videos, applying to dms, replying to emails,
- 1:28Speaker 1: planning out my week for the stuff, like so much
- 1:31Speaker 1: time that I don't really need to be that far ahead,
- 1:34Speaker 1: or I could definitely switch out half an hour of
- 1:36Speaker 1: that for half an hour of reading or meditating. But
- 1:39Speaker 1: often I'll say I don't have time to meditate, I
- 1:40Speaker 1: don't have time to read my book, but I've spent
- 1:43Speaker 1: an hour editing, you know, for videos for socials next week.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So it's like you just got to catch yourself out
- 1:49Speaker 1: when you say that. Just be like actually reflect, Like
- 1:52Speaker 1: I would love you guys to reflect on your day
- 1:54Speaker 1: to day. How often are you clicking into Instagram for
- 1:56Speaker 1: no apparent reason. How often are you clicking into TikTok
- 1:59Speaker 1: and having a twenty minute scroll forty minutes scroll? How
- 2:02Speaker 1: often are you watching Netflix and catching up on your
- 2:04Speaker 1: TV shows? Which I think it's all in moderation. I
- 2:06Speaker 1: love Netflix, I love doing all of it. But there's
- 2:09Speaker 1: got to be a balance. And if you find that
- 2:10Speaker 1: your mental health has being affected your emotional well being,
- 2:13Speaker 1: you want to improve. You've got goals to here. You
- 2:15Speaker 1: do need to take responsibility and go Well, if I
- 2:17Speaker 1: want to be that person and get to those goals,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I need to change some of my habits and implementing
- 2:21Speaker 1: meditation allows me to be the calm mom that I
- 2:23Speaker 1: want to be. That's the value of mine. So my
- 2:26Speaker 1: actions and my systems, my rituals, my habits need to
- 2:29Speaker 1: match up with my goals. Yeah, me, not meditating doesn't
- 2:33Speaker 1: match up for me wanting to be a really calm
- 2:34Speaker 1: zen person. No, I want to read more. It's really
- 2:37Speaker 1: relaxing for me. I get lost in a book. I
- 2:39Speaker 1: enjoy it. If it's book porn, it turns me on. Like,
- 2:41Speaker 1: there's lots of benefits. So it's got to match up.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But it's so easy to just say you don't have time.
- 2:46Speaker 1: At the end of the day, we feel like we
- 2:48Speaker 1: don't have time. But you have to make the time. Yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you have to, that's what.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I was saying to Actually, is one this morning, like
- 2:54Speaker 3: with my walks and stuff like that. Obviously, if you
- 2:56Speaker 3: guys have been listening along, You'll know, REGI girl has
- 2:58Speaker 3: not been sleeping great. I was getting up early in
- 3:00Speaker 3: the morning going for a walk and it's just not
- 3:03Speaker 3: happening right now, and I was like, so I switched
- 3:05Speaker 3: my routine.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It is a priority.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I feel like it's something that really sets me up
- 3:08Speaker 3: for the day. It's something that I feel so much
- 3:10Speaker 3: better for And if you do it early on in
- 3:12Speaker 3: the day, you just feel like you've done something for
- 3:14Speaker 3: you for the day.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So the rest of the day can kind of just
- 3:15Speaker 2: lead on from that and you're happy.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That's how I feel, and it changes your state for
- 3:18Speaker 1: the whole day totally.
- 3:20Speaker 3: So now I've had to switch that up and change
- 3:22Speaker 3: it from early in the morning because I'm needing my
- 3:24Speaker 3: sleep right now too. Okay, soon as dropped the kids
- 3:27Speaker 3: off from school, I'm shuffling around the way I do
- 3:29Speaker 3: things for this season, and I'm going for a walk then.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So I mean eighty percent of the time I have
- 3:34Speaker 2: rega goal.
- 3:35Speaker 3: With me in the prem i am not doing it
- 3:37Speaker 3: in the way that I had before, but it's still
- 3:39Speaker 3: a priority, and I'm still creating a new space and
- 3:42Speaker 3: a new pocket of time to fit it in because
- 3:44Speaker 3: for me, that's more important than a lot of areas
- 3:47Speaker 3: in my life. I want to be healthy, I want
- 3:49Speaker 3: to be fit, I want to be able to do
- 3:50Speaker 3: fun things with my kids, and I want to feel
- 3:52Speaker 3: good within myself and feel confident. And I feel like
- 3:55Speaker 3: doing all those things for yourself builds that. And even
- 3:58Speaker 3: dance class, you know, like as you said, like how
- 4:00Speaker 3: much we both like love our sleep, and we love
- 4:02Speaker 3: it so much. But then it's like for dance class,
- 4:04Speaker 3: for us, it's worth having that one night of compromising
- 4:06Speaker 3: a little bit of sleep to do something that lights
- 4:08Speaker 3: usupper makes us feel so so much.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, take so many boxers, hey, it really does. Is
- 4:15Speaker 1: making that time. Yeah, and it is tricky. Like we said,
- 4:19Speaker 1: we've got multiple kids, multiple brands and businesses. And I
- 4:22Speaker 1: know a lot of you listening too, even if you're
- 4:24Speaker 1: a stay at home mum, Like it is hard to
- 4:26Speaker 1: find those pockets of times, But how do you make
- 4:28Speaker 1: it work? Like from when Tyler was a newborn to
- 4:31Speaker 1: where she's at now, it's completely changed my routine. When
- 4:33Speaker 1: she was up all night, I didn't set my alarm
- 4:35Speaker 1: at four thirty to get up. I was getting as
- 4:37Speaker 1: much sleep as I could because that was important. But
- 4:39Speaker 1: when she had a nap. That's when I'd pull out
- 4:40Speaker 1: my app and do a quick workout. You've got to
- 4:42Speaker 1: be flexible and adaptable to whatever season you're in. But
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's so easy for us to just be like, I
- 4:47Speaker 1: don't have time to do.
- 4:48Speaker 2: That, and you know what else?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Like, how about as well, like instead of being like, oh,
- 4:52Speaker 3: like I was doing an hour walk, I was doing
- 4:55Speaker 3: a massive big walk, but like lately it's twenty minutes
- 4:57Speaker 3: per but I'm still doing it. You're better off to
- 4:59Speaker 3: go for ten minutes, even go twice around the block.
- 5:03Speaker 3: But just by showing up and doing that for you yourself,
- 5:05Speaker 3: even if it's way less time.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, building that habit so good, so good.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So I'll call myself out on some stuff that I
- 5:12Speaker 3: have been saying I haven't got time for. Most of
- 5:14Speaker 3: these things are actually because you have to be organized beforehand.
- 5:16Speaker 3: So sauna, and it's so great. I can work in
- 5:19Speaker 3: the sauna, I can read in the sauna, I can
- 5:21Speaker 3: do pretty much anything I want in there. But I've
- 5:23Speaker 3: got to be up and like be prepared and turned
- 5:26Speaker 3: on let it heat up first, So take twenty minutes,
- 5:30Speaker 3: but that's fine, or even at night before bed, like
- 5:33Speaker 3: instead of laying in bed and watching a show, sit
- 5:35Speaker 3: in the sauna and watch a show. You can do
- 5:37Speaker 3: it in there as well, like everything you can do,
- 5:39Speaker 3: but I just like put it off and I know
- 5:41Speaker 3: it makes me feel so much better. And same as
- 5:43Speaker 3: the cold therapy, I said to Ashley as well. But
- 5:45Speaker 3: then again, it's just being prepared. It's like, okay, her,
- 5:47Speaker 3: you keep missing it, so set an alarm. Yeah, remind yourself.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Put a reminder in your phone, stick, something on the
- 5:52Speaker 3: fridge so when you go down to beea coffee go
- 5:53Speaker 3: oh yeah, shit, won tend the sawna on.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 3: You know, like I'm the only person who I can
- 5:57Speaker 3: hold responsible for making sure that I do the rituals
- 6:01Speaker 3: to feel the best that I can feel. Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so interesting when you're pack it. And I
- 6:05Speaker 1: guarantee majority of people listening. You are watching more Netflix
- 6:08Speaker 1: than what you realize, and you're scrolling more than you realize,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and you're just not utilizing your time as productively as
- 6:13Speaker 1: what you could be. Yeah, and you know where you
- 6:17Speaker 1: want to go, and you've got your goals in place
- 6:18Speaker 1: and your values, you've got to make sure that all
- 6:20Speaker 1: of your habits and rituals match up.
- 6:21Speaker 3: To that.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Otherwise nothing's going to change. If you don't.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Change, nothing changes. If nothing changes.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I love that quote. It's the best. It's the best
- 6:29Speaker 1: in my app. We have now ten different twenty eight
- 6:31Speaker 1: day programs. But I work with women. I've worked with
- 6:34Speaker 1: women for over fifteen years, and I don't have time.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Is a common thing. Like I said, this sparks this
- 6:38Speaker 1: whole conversation, and I hear it from so many moms.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I wanted to kind of take away that excuse and
- 6:44Speaker 1: debunk it and give them a solution. So I went
- 6:47Speaker 1: to leave on the team. It's like, I've got our
- 6:48Speaker 1: next challenge idea. I want to call it express, and
- 6:50Speaker 1: I want to do twenty eight days only twenty minutes stay.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That's all every woman has to find, and that is
- 6:57Speaker 1: so doable. Like anyone if you're a stay at home mum,
- 6:59Speaker 1: if you're working, no matter what, we can all find
- 7:02Speaker 1: twenty minutes, like guarantee, whether it's early morning, late night,
- 7:05Speaker 1: when they nap, in between, when hby gets home, like
- 7:07Speaker 1: whatever it is, you can find twenty minutes a day.
- 7:09Speaker 1: So we've created this program and I'm so freaking proud
- 7:11Speaker 1: of I said to Kia, because you're hating going to
- 7:13Speaker 1: the ams, like do the express one. It's literally like
- 7:16Speaker 1: a mixture of hit weights. There's a meditation, there's a
- 7:18Speaker 1: stretched session, there's a dance class, like a yoga. It's
- 7:21Speaker 1: it's literally everything. It's so much fun. No two days
- 7:24Speaker 1: are the same, and anyone can do it. And you
- 7:26Speaker 1: do it in the comfort off your own home. So it's
- 7:27Speaker 1: not even the time to go to the gym, drive
- 7:29Speaker 1: back to the gym, because with kids sometimes adds another
- 7:33Speaker 1: it's on top of your workout, you'll be a two
- 7:35Speaker 1: hour sash like no working out from home. Twenty minutes.
- 7:38Speaker 1: That's all you have to commit, and you can get
- 7:40Speaker 1: an amazing results. You can fill your own cup up,
- 7:42Speaker 1: improve your fitness, show your kids what you're doing, get
- 7:45Speaker 1: your husband involved. Like so, I'm so proud of it.
- 7:48Speaker 1: All the girls in my private forum are so pumpful
- 7:50Speaker 1: because they're like, yes, I can do this. It's so achievable.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Sometimes if you look at like a workout, we've been
- 7:55Speaker 1: sold this story that you have to go to the
- 7:57Speaker 1: gym for like an hour a day or like an
- 7:58Speaker 1: hour and a half and like do these massive sessions.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's not the case. It really isn't and I'm so
- 8:03Speaker 1: glad that I've created a program that now can fit
- 8:05Speaker 1: for anyone and everyone, but especially my busy gals and
- 8:08Speaker 1: my busy mums that are struggling to find that time
- 8:10Speaker 1: to put their health and fitness as a priority.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and I really like too, how you spoke about
- 8:14Speaker 3: working out in front of your kids, because all throughout
- 8:16Speaker 3: the Spicy Flu, Kurt and I exercised in front of
- 8:19Speaker 3: the kids every single day because Kurt like prioritizes Jim
- 8:22Speaker 3: like it's so important to him and he loves lifting
- 8:24Speaker 3: weights in that so we would just do it together
- 8:26Speaker 3: out in the yard. Kids would be out with us,
- 8:27Speaker 3: they'd be jumping on the trampoline. We'd give them little
- 8:29Speaker 3: things to do. And I think sometimes we tell ourselves
- 8:32Speaker 3: a story as well, we need to wait till our
- 8:33Speaker 3: kids are not around, or our kids and napping. But
- 8:36Speaker 3: you really can do it with your kids as well,
- 8:37Speaker 3: and like, yeah, sometimes you might have to stop and
- 8:39Speaker 3: start a little bit, but like I reckon fifty to fifty, actually,
- 8:43Speaker 3: you could get a good one in and be like,
- 8:44Speaker 3: oh my gosh, that was so great.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And so what if you have to stop and give
- 8:47Speaker 1: them a drink to eat or even on the app,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can literally push pause and get back to it.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You're still getting it done.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You're still getting it done. Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So a bit of a shorter episode today, but we
- 8:56Speaker 1: just wanted to unpack that because it's something that I
- 8:58Speaker 1: think we all struggle with. Like I said at start,
- 9:00Speaker 1: we do too. I'm guilty, we're calling ourselves out. Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but when you've got that self award, you can start
- 9:05Speaker 1: to catch a quicker. Now when I say that, I'm like, oh,
- 9:08Speaker 1: hang on a second, you're a bullshin. You can meditate,
- 9:11Speaker 1: put that phone down and chuck on. Even if it's
- 9:13Speaker 1: a five minute meditation. Yea literally type in YouTube five
- 9:16Speaker 1: minute meditation for productivity or five minute meditation for anxiety,
- 9:20Speaker 1: five minute meditation for sleep. Just pop it on, commit
- 9:24Speaker 1: do it. And the more that you do it, the
- 9:26Speaker 1: more it becomes a habit, the more you don't have
- 9:29Speaker 1: to even have to think about it consciously. It'll just
- 9:31Speaker 1: become a part of what you do.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And I feel like it's a roll on effect too,
- 9:33Speaker 3: because like you're talking to me about meditation and that
- 9:35Speaker 3: as well. Whenever I'm regularly doing my sauna, is I
- 9:37Speaker 3: meditate at the start, so I do both. But then
- 9:39Speaker 3: as soon as I stop doing my saunas, I'm not meditating.
- 9:42Speaker 3: And then the same thing. If you stop doing your walks,
- 9:43Speaker 3: you probably go, oh, you're feeling more thired, you haven't.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Got that energy boost, You're not going to work out.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It's a role on. You just want to work out
- 9:49Speaker 1: every day. I'm more motivated and want healthier food. If
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm like throwing a bit tired and sluggish, I crave
- 9:55Speaker 1: more sugar and I'm not as prepared. So is that
- 9:57Speaker 1: roll on effects.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah,
