- 0:59Speaker 1: Welcome back to She Rises Podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 2: This has been a very long awaited episode. That's an exaggeration.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Ten weeks since my surgery.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Wow, it's been that long already, Ie you crazy? Hey
- 1:09Speaker 1: time flags Now I'm fun.
- 1:12Speaker 2: But yeah, I was going to do an episode about
- 1:14Speaker 2: my upper bleaff surgery a little while ago last when
- 1:16Speaker 2: we were filming, but there's other episodes that I just
- 1:18Speaker 2: felt like was more important. And then since I didn't
- 1:20Speaker 2: do that episode, I get so many DM's been like,
- 1:22Speaker 2: what are you talking about? Wik did I miss it?
- 1:23Speaker 2: I want to hear all the details. So I'm going
- 1:26Speaker 2: to be talking about that today and then you're also
- 1:27Speaker 2: going to be sharing your journey of what you're going
- 1:30Speaker 2: to be doing with your boobies.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, my breasting plant journey and what I'm going to
- 1:33Speaker 1: be doing doctor that I found.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yes, a couple of different options that I have the
- 1:36Speaker 3: option to do when it comes to my surgery, which.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We'll talk about it.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get into it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: But we're going to do our share of the week.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We actually have the same one. We were talking about
- 1:45Speaker 2: this on the way up, but it's a something that
- 1:46Speaker 2: we both take now. I started taking this. It was
- 1:49Speaker 2: over a year and a half ago. I remember when
- 1:51Speaker 2: I first started taking it and then I had my
- 1:52Speaker 2: brain surgeries and I couldn't take it. It's like a form
- 1:55Speaker 2: of tumeric and the brand is called Stamina, and I
- 1:58Speaker 2: absolutely love it as soon as I was off my
- 1:59Speaker 2: blood thinners.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I ordered it straight away.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I got Tiana onto it too, because it's not only
- 2:03Speaker 2: it helps with all things information. So if you have
- 2:06Speaker 2: skin issues PMS, when you're just wanting to add something
- 2:09Speaker 2: into your supplement routine, that is really going to help
- 2:12Speaker 2: so much. It's such an easy one to take.
- 2:14Speaker 3: So then, especially if you're on like a healing journey,
- 2:16Speaker 3: a gut journey, anything like that, turmeric is going to
- 2:18Speaker 3: be an amazing supplement to add to your stack. It's
- 2:21Speaker 3: very well constructed. I remember taking this to Flatnerys and
- 2:24Speaker 3: I ran out one time. I was like, do you
- 2:26Speaker 3: guys have this supplement and they were like, no, we
- 2:28Speaker 3: don't have anything that good here. Yeah, And I was like, wow,
- 2:31Speaker 3: that's so interesting for like a naturopath to even say
- 2:33Speaker 3: that about the supplement, which is cool. And for me,
- 2:36Speaker 3: I know, like as you guys may have known, or
- 2:37Speaker 3: if you don't, I've dealt with ceris for like my
- 2:40Speaker 3: whole life, and so being able to take something that
- 2:42Speaker 3: actually supports it now my skin feels so amazing. When
- 2:45Speaker 3: I take it consistently, it's like ballmer clears up straight away.
- 2:48Speaker 3: So it's very amazing if you ever want to look
- 2:50Speaker 3: for it on Instagram. It's stm NA underscore bioactives. So
- 2:56Speaker 3: stamina bioactive.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Is that the website as well? Was it similar?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yes, the website as well.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Cool, and they do like glass bottles. But then you
- 3:02Speaker 2: can buy the refillable packets. Yeah, which is so good
- 3:04Speaker 2: as well. But yeah, I find too my like if
- 3:07Speaker 2: you get PMS symptoms, it's from inflammation and stress in
- 3:10Speaker 2: your body. So tumor's like an all natural supplement. It
- 3:13Speaker 2: helps my PM symptoms. That and sauna like game changer. Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 2: I really don't get many symptoms. The week before my period,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I feel like a bit more tired. But otherwise I
- 3:21Speaker 2: don't get bloating, I don't get back pain, I don't
- 3:23Speaker 2: get sare boobs, I don't get headaches anymore. Like I
- 3:25Speaker 2: took away all the symptoms that I used to get. Oh,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and I noticed when I was on my blood thinners.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I noticed now I'm back on it. I'm like, wow,
- 3:32Speaker 2: that one change makes such a huge difference for me.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Oh, we love a good product, and we do.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Alrighty, let's get into it. So I had an upper
- 3:40Speaker 2: bluff surgery and this has been something that I have
- 3:45Speaker 2: been wanting to get for so many years, Like it's
- 3:47Speaker 2: something I've really thought out and researched, and I've been
- 3:50Speaker 2: in forums for years, like watching other women all around
- 3:53Speaker 2: the world have their surgeries and their experiences and their recovery,
- 3:55Speaker 2: what helped, what doctors and surgeons they went through. I
- 3:58Speaker 2: went for three different consults and this one particular, one
- 4:01Speaker 2: guy that I went to, he was recommended me by
- 4:04Speaker 2: a makeup artist because he and five of her friends
- 4:06Speaker 2: had all been to him and absolutely loved him. Now
- 4:08Speaker 2: I'm not going to say who he is. And I
- 4:09Speaker 2: said this on my social media the other day, because
- 4:12Speaker 2: if you went to him from recommendation from me and
- 4:15Speaker 2: something went wrong, I'm just not going to risk oving
- 4:17Speaker 2: someone come at me, baron. And I know it sounds
- 4:19Speaker 2: crazy if this has happened to a girl. I know
- 4:21Speaker 2: she recommended a breast surgeon. The friend had a horrible
- 4:24Speaker 2: experience and then went back to her and I was like, well,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I would you recommend someone da Da It's been so
- 4:28Speaker 2: bad Now I have to go to someone else, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: it's like it's not her fault. But no, of course,
- 4:31Speaker 2: not any surgery, any surgeon, no matter where you go
- 4:34Speaker 2: in Australia. In the world, there is risks. It is
- 4:37Speaker 2: risky to have plastic surgery. I'm not sitting here promoting
- 4:40Speaker 2: it saying you should get it. Do your fucking research
- 4:42Speaker 2: and don't do this unless you are one hundred percent
- 4:45Speaker 2: yes doing this for you. It took me like five
- 4:47Speaker 2: years to actually book this and get it done. That's
- 4:49Speaker 2: how long I've wanted it for. But I am so
- 4:52Speaker 2: happy I did it. I love the result. I'm only, yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 2: ten weeks post surgery, so it's still healing obviously, and
- 4:59Speaker 2: I can still feel I've got one internal stitch in
- 5:02Speaker 2: my right eye. I do wonder if he could have
- 5:04Speaker 2: taken a little bit more skin out of my right eye.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I don't notice every day, but some days there's like
- 5:09Speaker 2: a little tiny line. But I'm being very, very picky.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You're allowed to be.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So I'll go for my check up in four weeks
- 5:15Speaker 2: and I'm curious to see what he thinks of it.
- 5:17Speaker 2: But I look back at a video the other day
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I was like, Wow, it's so different. One of
- 5:21Speaker 2: my eyes used to look so much smaller than the
- 5:23Speaker 2: other one. Now they just look more even, and I
- 5:26Speaker 2: just feel like I look more awake. But it's not
- 5:28Speaker 2: even what it looks like for me. When I used
- 5:30Speaker 2: to get quite tired, or if I cried a lot,
- 5:33Speaker 2: the skin would get so heavy that it was almost
- 5:35Speaker 2: like hard for me to see. I'd have to like
- 5:37Speaker 2: kind of adjust the skin on the top of my
- 5:39Speaker 2: eye because it was getting so heavy. Whereas now I
- 5:41Speaker 2: feel like I'm walking around white eye.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I remember you even used to say before surgery that
- 5:46Speaker 3: you used to notice that, like one of your eye
- 5:48Speaker 3: was in photos. You noticed it would like swint a
- 5:51Speaker 3: little bit more, whereas you don't feel out at all.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I looked close. I was like, what's going on? And
- 5:56Speaker 1: do you feel that was the side that felt heavier?
- 5:58Speaker 2: No?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Actually, oh really? Oh in photos? In photos? Yeah that
- 6:02Speaker 1: makes sense. Yeah, probably say how was the surgery first
- 6:06Speaker 1: of all? Like I was awake for it. Yeah, tell
- 6:09Speaker 1: us about it.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I love medical stuff. Like if you can put any
- 6:12Speaker 2: medical show, if someone snapped their leg in half, like
- 6:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't look at it and think gross, I'm like,
- 6:17Speaker 2: oh my god, where's the bone?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Like so true, it's you through and through.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I love it. There's nothing medical that can gross me.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I love medical shows. I've watched all of them. And
- 6:25Speaker 2: even on surgeries, Like I was watching surgeries on TikTok
- 6:27Speaker 2: and YouTube beforehand.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Really, she was sending them to me.
- 6:31Speaker 3: I was like, I was like, I can't watch it
- 6:33Speaker 3: makes me squirm, and she's like, really, I love it. Yeah.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And honestly, the week before I wentto surgery, like Steve
- 6:38Speaker 2: and I stayed up one night we were just watching
- 6:40Speaker 2: all these surgeries and like the recovery process through it. Yeah,
- 6:43Speaker 2: it just made me feel like more prepared as to
- 6:45Speaker 2: what's coming.
- 6:45Speaker 3: And was there any part of you that were scared
- 6:47Speaker 3: leading up to going into surgery to get it?
- 6:49Speaker 1: I don't know if scared is the right word. No,
- 6:51Speaker 1: like a little bit nervous.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Nervous, But even on the day, like you're with me,
- 6:54Speaker 2: I was pretty cool, calm and collected. I was more excited.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I mean, I was there, but I'm sure everybody else
- 6:59Speaker 1: wants to know.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like I was in a pretty high
- 7:01Speaker 2: vibe and really excited. So I was awake. The reason
- 7:04Speaker 2: I did this is it's a lot cheaper and it's
- 7:06Speaker 2: literally a forty five minute surgery, like it's actually if
- 7:09Speaker 2: my surgeon said, this is one of the easier surgeries,
- 7:11Speaker 2: like it's in and out. He does so many a days,
- 7:14Speaker 2: so many a week. It's like, good do it with
- 7:15Speaker 2: his eyes closed. So that made me feel quite good.
- 7:19Speaker 2: They did give me a tablet to relax me. Yeah,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but they left me in the room for too long,
- 7:24Speaker 2: so I've got like I had a little nap.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But I were just sending you photos for photos.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I like, I'm relaxed. But by the time he came
- 7:30Speaker 2: back in, I was like.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I'm wide awake. I'm ready to get I need another
- 7:32Speaker 1: one of those pills.
- 7:33Speaker 2: He was like, no, no, you've had one. They'll be fine.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But I had gas.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 2: The hardest thing about, like the only really hard thing
- 7:40Speaker 2: about the upper blet was having local anesthetic put into
- 7:43Speaker 2: my fucking eyeballs. That stings like a bitch. If anyone's
- 7:47Speaker 2: ever had local, I feel like I've got a pretty
- 7:49Speaker 2: high pain tolerance that. Oh my god, it's like a
- 7:53Speaker 2: thousand beastings.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Oh, such a sensitive area too.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and like the knee, so like I cried. I
- 7:59Speaker 2: think like I had a little ah for about twenty seconds.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Once that was done, I was like, I can't feel it.
- 8:05Speaker 2: He was like talking about his daughter and the nurse
- 8:08Speaker 2: was having a good old chin wag and everyone's just
- 8:10Speaker 2: like chatting it, chatting like a normal day, just chatting
- 8:12Speaker 2: like a normal day. And it was like forty five
- 8:14Speaker 2: minutes it was done. I could not feel a single thing.
- 8:16Speaker 2: They put little tape over my eyes afterwards, and like
- 8:18Speaker 2: I didn't even really swell, I didn't really bruise. The
- 8:21Speaker 2: recovery I found quite easy.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Did you find that them talking you through it and
- 8:26Speaker 3: talking to you throughout was like a bit of a
- 8:27Speaker 3: good distraction.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yes, And he did say that, he's like, ash, he
- 8:30Speaker 2: just sidding, you know, I am just like chatting away
- 8:32Speaker 2: because it's a good distraction for you. Let me know
- 8:34Speaker 2: off that doesn't feel good. I was like, no, it's
- 8:35Speaker 2: actually interesting hearing about didn't he sing to you? Oh yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 2: so a little bit. I was like, okay, and like
- 8:42Speaker 2: the gas. I love gas. The gas worked, but not
- 8:45Speaker 2: as well as what I thought it would. Yeah, but
- 8:47Speaker 2: he said, because you were probably nervous and it's like
- 8:50Speaker 2: you're awake for it, it might not have hit his hard.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And I remember him saying to me, when you suck
- 8:55Speaker 2: the gas, like suck it for fifteen to twenty seconds.
- 8:58Speaker 2: But he said afterwards I was like blowing out a
- 9:00Speaker 2: bit too quickly.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so he was holding it for long.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Yeah, the actually that was the actual so
- 9:05Speaker 2: it was quite easy. We were in Sydney for it,
- 9:07Speaker 2: and we stayed a couple of nights down there too
- 9:09Speaker 2: and just worked and children in the hotel room because
- 9:11Speaker 2: I had to stay down there for five days then
- 9:13Speaker 2: get my stitches out.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So then getting the stitches out I was a bit
- 9:16Speaker 2: nervous for but I had gas and I don't even
- 9:17Speaker 2: remember it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You did really well. I was in the room for
- 9:20Speaker 1: that and you did amazing.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I can't remember. So I didn't
- 9:24Speaker 2: hurt at all.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I remember like asking as she if she was okay,
- 9:26Speaker 3: cause I was like touching her leg and just like
- 9:28Speaker 3: kind of distracting her and I was like, ye, good baby,
- 9:30Speaker 3: and she puts her thumb up in the air, the
- 9:31Speaker 3: eyes closed.
- 9:32Speaker 1: She's like m M, I.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Remember you're saying to me after you watching it looked
- 9:35Speaker 2: like it was really hurting and you were like tearing.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Up, and I did.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 3: It was hard to watch because I was like, oh
- 9:39Speaker 3: my gosh, I can feel her pain.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And then she comes out after and she's like nah,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm good. I was like, oh wow, okay, I was like.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Fully feeling for me, and I'm like, whoa, maybe I'm
- 9:48Speaker 2: just a sensitive Sally.
- 9:49Speaker 3: But also medical stuff like that for me is that
- 9:51Speaker 3: it makes me a little bit more skirmish. Yes, being
- 9:53Speaker 3: there to support you different story, but like when I
- 9:56Speaker 3: know that it's on me, I'm like, oh and.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Just watching someone in pain, like if you think the
- 10:00Speaker 2: pain is not nice.
- 10:01Speaker 3: And someone that you love to yeah, like, oh my god,
- 10:03Speaker 3: let me take away your pain for you.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah, So it was a much easier process size and
- 10:08Speaker 2: what I thought, so.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so cool.
- 10:11Speaker 3: And you know you mentioned the difference before of having
- 10:14Speaker 3: to like lift the skin, noticing a difference in photos
- 10:17Speaker 3: when you take photos.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Now, do you feel happy with the result.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I definitely feel a lot happier and more open
- 10:23Speaker 2: and even like when I have I got my eyelashes
- 10:25Speaker 2: lifted the other day and it just looks like normal
- 10:27Speaker 2: eyes now, like there's no skin getting in the way. Yeah,
- 10:30Speaker 2: I feel just more awake, Like I feel like it
- 10:32Speaker 2: doesn't make me look twenty years younger, but it makes
- 10:35Speaker 2: me look fresher and not so tired.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I feel like I looked very tired all the time,
- 10:40Speaker 2: and I wasn't Like I fet not tired.
- 10:43Speaker 1: My energy levels are high.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so I feel like I look a lot fresher.
- 10:47Speaker 2: And even though it doesn't make me look ten years younger,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I feel like it will keep me looking more this
- 10:52Speaker 2: age for longer.
- 10:53Speaker 1: If that makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Maybe when I'm forty or forty five, I will still
- 10:56Speaker 2: look in my late thirties.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yes, I love it, I hope. Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 3: And you know you mentioned that you had been wanting
- 11:02Speaker 3: the surgery for about five years. Now that you've been
- 11:05Speaker 3: through the surgery, would you wait that long again?
- 11:08Speaker 2: I wish I went earlier. And I've got another girlfriend
- 11:11Speaker 2: that's been thinking about it for a while too, but
- 11:12Speaker 2: she's just so scared and I'm like, just get it.
- 11:15Speaker 2: You will love it, Like I wish I did it sooner.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it wasn't as bad as what you no.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I thought it might be, And I honestly thought from
- 11:22Speaker 2: the forums I'm in, most people bruise like a motherfucker.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like I'm talking. I had a girlfriend actually in America.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I held it a week before me, so I was
- 11:30Speaker 2: talking to her heat she was black and blue. She
- 11:34Speaker 2: couldn't even open her eyes they were so swollen. So
- 11:36Speaker 2: when I'm sending her photo, she's like, what the.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Fuck you're over here about to book in, And You're.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Like, I recovered exceptionally well and I really did not bruise.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And I'm surprised I didn't bruise because I was obviously
- 11:48Speaker 2: on blood that i'd been off them for a while
- 11:50Speaker 2: from that, because you can't have surgery when you're on
- 11:52Speaker 2: blood thinners. I've been off them for I think close
- 11:54Speaker 2: to three months, a couple months, but I'm still would
- 11:56Speaker 2: have thought I might have bruised more easily compared to
- 11:59Speaker 2: the average person. So a lot of people asked the cost, actually,
- 12:02Speaker 2: so I can't remember it all up, but I think
- 12:04Speaker 2: it was roughly round four and a half grand. But
- 12:06Speaker 2: I did get other quotes. There was someone on the
- 12:08Speaker 2: goal coach that could do it for two and then
- 12:10Speaker 2: there was another person in Sydney that I got a
- 12:13Speaker 2: quote from and he was six. So I really think
- 12:15Speaker 2: it depends on the surgery, how in demand they are,
- 12:18Speaker 2: maybe their.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Experience, any other fees on top of that.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Exactly what hospital they perform it in. So I just
- 12:24Speaker 2: think when I even want to get asked about my
- 12:26Speaker 2: boobs all the time. An when I've never given the
- 12:27Speaker 2: name out, I just say it's important for you to
- 12:29Speaker 2: get multiple quotes. We'll talk about your Your story is
- 12:32Speaker 2: perfect reason why I stand by this. Yeah, it's like
- 12:35Speaker 2: go to different surgeons to get different quotes and see
- 12:37Speaker 2: who you actually connect with, and see what options they give,
- 12:39Speaker 2: and see what that feels like for you. Because you've
- 12:41Speaker 2: gone we'll get into yours now. But you've got three
- 12:43Speaker 2: different surgeons who have all kind of said three completely
- 12:46Speaker 2: different things, three completely different things. It's been really interesting going.
- 12:51Speaker 2: At first, I was really hesitant.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I was like, oh no, if I just go to
- 12:54Speaker 3: the one person who I do my research on, yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 3: I can get one quote, lock it in, Because to me,
- 12:59Speaker 3: in my head, I'm like, I just want to lock
- 13:00Speaker 3: it in.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And I actually did.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I had a previous surgery booked with a different surgeon
- 13:04Speaker 3: on the goal coat. Yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I actually even started paying off the payment.
- 13:08Speaker 2: For three weeks after I had my surgery. You want
- 13:09Speaker 2: to get it done, that's right.
- 13:10Speaker 3: So I had actually booked in, I had a surgery
- 13:12Speaker 3: date and everything, and I started hearing all of these
- 13:15Speaker 3: stories about local women or women of friends of friends
- 13:18Speaker 3: who were coming back with all this negative feedback from
- 13:21Speaker 3: their experience with him, and for some reason, I just
- 13:23Speaker 3: kept coming to Ash and I was like, Oh, this
- 13:25Speaker 3: doesn't feel good for some reason, He's not the one.
- 13:28Speaker 1: He's not the one.
- 13:29Speaker 3: And I'm really glad that I ended up listening to that,
- 13:31Speaker 3: because I, especially when it comes to something like surgery,
- 13:33Speaker 3: I never want to feel iffy or not feel confident
- 13:37Speaker 3: with the surgeon that you're going decision.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's a bottage. And then I went
- 13:41Speaker 1: to that guy.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And before we go into all of that, just in
- 13:45Speaker 2: case no one hasn't heard your story, what are you
- 13:48Speaker 2: actually getting done? And why are you getting it done?
- 13:50Speaker 2: And then will go into like not the names of surgeons,
- 13:52Speaker 2: but like why you went to different people?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Cool.
- 13:54Speaker 3: So with my breast implants, I've had breast implants for
- 13:57Speaker 3: over ten years now, and when I was younger, I
- 13:59Speaker 3: got them quite young. I think I was like eighteen
- 14:01Speaker 3: when I got them, but I went quite big, so
- 14:03Speaker 3: I have quite large implants. But beyond that, over time,
- 14:06Speaker 3: they've capsulated. And basically, if you don't know what capsulation means,
- 14:09Speaker 3: it basically just means that there's a foreign object in
- 14:12Speaker 3: the body and my body is rejecting it, so.
- 14:14Speaker 2: It's forming scar tissue around it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's right.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So it's forming scar tissue around it because it's trying
- 14:18Speaker 3: to get rid of the foreign object in my body.
- 14:21Speaker 3: But obviously that I can't do that. It's creating more
- 14:23Speaker 3: and more scar tissue as my body tries to fight it.
- 14:25Speaker 3: And so a lot of women do come up with
- 14:27Speaker 3: this issue. And what it tends to do is it
- 14:29Speaker 3: tends to alter the shape of the breast as well,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and it can also make them really firm, so it
- 14:34Speaker 3: can harden them impact their shape, and also it can
- 14:37Speaker 3: cause discomfort and pain for a lot of women. I'm
- 14:39Speaker 3: very lucky in that sense. I'm very lucky to say
- 14:41Speaker 3: that I don't have any pain. But I can't lay
- 14:43Speaker 3: on my.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Chest like when we go get a message.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I literally have to prop myself up with a pillar
- 14:46Speaker 3: underneath my chest just so that i'm like flush and
- 14:49Speaker 3: it has some support so I'm not putting so much
- 14:51Speaker 3: pressure on my chest. And yeah, I've been wanting to
- 14:54Speaker 3: get this surgery done probably for at least five years.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I would say I remember thinking and talking about this
- 14:59Speaker 3: in twenty twenty one because I started to notice one
- 15:04Speaker 3: they're feeling a little bit more firm, they're feeling a
- 15:06Speaker 3: little bit more uncomfortable. And outside of that, I'm also
- 15:09Speaker 3: a very different woman, Like from when I got these
- 15:11Speaker 3: implants when I was eighteen to where I am now,
- 15:13Speaker 3: I feel so very different and they are very big
- 15:16Speaker 3: in comparison.
- 15:17Speaker 1: To my frame. Whereas when I was younger, I was like,
- 15:19Speaker 1: oh my gosh, yes, I love this. Yeah, I just
- 15:22Speaker 1: and it was so normalized to me.
- 15:23Speaker 3: All the women around me had them, all of my
- 15:25Speaker 3: family had them, my siblings, my sisters, my Naan, and
- 15:28Speaker 3: my mom, Like it was so normalized in my family
- 15:30Speaker 3: to get them. And as I've changed and grown, I'm like, ooh,
- 15:33Speaker 3: it kind of attracts a certain level of attention that
- 15:35Speaker 3: I don't want, like not a good kind of attention.
- 15:38Speaker 3: And I don't want people to see me and go,
- 15:40Speaker 3: oh my gosh, the first thing I see is her boobs,
- 15:42Speaker 3: Like I don't want people to be drawn to my chest.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I want people to acknowledge me for me, and like
- 15:46Speaker 3: want to get to know me for me, not for that.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And so yeah, just over time, it just changed, and yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 3: what I valued change and I just doesn't feel like
- 15:53Speaker 3: it represents who I am and how I feel inside. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 3: so I've been wanting to go down the journey of
- 15:58Speaker 3: either getting smaller implants, and through that journey of wanting
- 16:02Speaker 3: to get smaller implants, a lot of different surgeons have
- 16:04Speaker 3: suggested different things because what I will need to get
- 16:06Speaker 3: is quite an extensive surgery. It's not just implants out
- 16:09Speaker 3: change them over. What they've suggested is different ones.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Of course. Yeah, one surgeon has suggested that I first
- 16:16Speaker 1: one say so, the first.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Surgeon that I went to, who essentially was the first
- 16:21Speaker 3: person I had locked in to book and go for
- 16:23Speaker 3: the surgery with, he suggested that I go in and
- 16:25Speaker 3: get one surgery and get my implants taken out and
- 16:29Speaker 3: essentially not need to get a lift. But the thing
- 16:32Speaker 3: with that is he goes, you can come in and
- 16:33Speaker 3: do that, and I can put new implants back in.
- 16:35Speaker 3: But he's like, there's a likely hive percentage that you
- 16:38Speaker 3: will have to come in for a second surgery if
- 16:40Speaker 3: it doesn't look the way that you want it to look,
- 16:42Speaker 3: because he's like, you would have to get a lift,
- 16:44Speaker 3: you'd have to get implants out, new amplants back in,
- 16:47Speaker 3: and it's quite an extensive surgery.
- 16:49Speaker 2: And there's no chance of going smaller with him either.
- 16:51Speaker 1: That's the thing up.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yeah, So I wanted to go smaller with him, and
- 16:54Speaker 3: he goes, I can't go smaller with you without giving
- 16:56Speaker 3: you a lift. But he's like, we can do it,
- 16:59Speaker 3: but you will probably have to come back. And then
- 17:01Speaker 3: he also said as well, He's like, if you do
- 17:03Speaker 3: decide to get inplants back in, you'll have a fifty
- 17:05Speaker 3: percent chance of the capsulation coming back. And that was
- 17:08Speaker 3: his first opinion, and that sent me on an absolute spiral.
- 17:10Speaker 3: After that, I ended up canceling with him, going and
- 17:12Speaker 3: getting another opinion. And the next person that I saw
- 17:16Speaker 3: he suggested the two surgeries as well, except what he
- 17:19Speaker 3: suggested for me was to go in, take my implants out,
- 17:22Speaker 3: give my body a break for six months, and then
- 17:25Speaker 3: come back in six months time, get a lift, get
- 17:27Speaker 3: new implants back in. And I was beside myself. I
- 17:31Speaker 3: feel like, I just was like, oh my gosh. To
- 17:33Speaker 3: go from what I have now to flat chested, which
- 17:35Speaker 3: is what I was before, felt like such a big change.
- 17:39Speaker 3: But he did say to me in that journey, he goes,
- 17:41Speaker 3: the good thing about if you give your body a
- 17:43Speaker 3: break is that if you do have extra symptoms, which
- 17:46Speaker 3: I told him that I do, just like inflammation in
- 17:49Speaker 3: my body and things like thatsis and psiriasis on my skin,
- 17:52Speaker 3: issues with my gums. He goes, those are symptoms of
- 17:56Speaker 3: breast implant illness, and so he goes, the good thing
- 17:58Speaker 3: about having a break is that if you do six months,
- 18:01Speaker 3: you'll be able to see is if you take.
- 18:02Speaker 1: The implants out and your body gets better.
- 18:04Speaker 3: He's like, you, you will have to consider not coming
- 18:06Speaker 3: back in to get the second surgery done. So he's like,
- 18:09Speaker 3: if you are concerned about your body, this is going
- 18:11Speaker 3: to be a really good way to do it. And
- 18:12Speaker 3: he goes, if it were my sister or my mum,
- 18:14Speaker 3: this is what I would suggest for her to do.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And after that I was so upset.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Hey, babe, I was like just I was obviously like
- 18:20Speaker 3: upset about it. I know it sounds like a superficial thing,
- 18:22Speaker 3: but it's obviously a huge change, and I know that
- 18:25Speaker 3: I would be fine. And also when it comes to
- 18:27Speaker 3: the conversation around like my health or something superficial, I
- 18:30Speaker 3: will always choose my health, but it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Doesn't mean that it's any less hard.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Yeah, And it was just like really confronting to hear
- 18:35Speaker 3: such a different perspective of going, oh my god, I
- 18:37Speaker 3: have to get them out entirely.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You're not made potentially not get them put back in.
- 18:40Speaker 3: That's right, So he said, in the first surgery, I
- 18:43Speaker 3: can put them back in if you want me to.
- 18:45Speaker 3: But if I put them back in without giving your
- 18:47Speaker 3: body a break, then you will have an even higher
- 18:49Speaker 3: chance of capsulation. So he said, even if you wait,
- 18:53Speaker 3: let your body heal, let it recover, you know, cut
- 18:55Speaker 3: out the capsulation, make sure that it's all healed and
- 18:58Speaker 3: all nice, and then we put them back in, then
- 19:00Speaker 3: you'll condense the chance of it actually coming back. And
- 19:03Speaker 3: so I'm over here with all this information in my
- 19:04Speaker 3: brain going, oh my god, like for do I decide?
- 19:07Speaker 1: What do I do? What's the right thing.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I don't want to have to go through multiple surgeries
- 19:11Speaker 3: again if I decide this, and then eventually I have
- 19:13Speaker 3: to get them taken out. So I ended up finding
- 19:15Speaker 3: this other surgeon and he has been amazing. I think
- 19:18Speaker 3: I found the person that I want to go with.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Now I just have to book it in.
- 19:22Speaker 2: It's actually who did my surgery my breast and plants?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's so lovely, so kind, amazing bed manner,
- 19:29Speaker 3: like you can tell that he genuinely cares. There's no
- 19:31Speaker 3: pressure or like trying to upsell you, So he's definitely
- 19:34Speaker 3: not trying to wear as like I felt a little
- 19:35Speaker 3: bit saalsy from the other guys or maybe just like
- 19:37Speaker 3: they've done it so much that you're just another patient,
- 19:40Speaker 3: whereas this guy didn't feel that way, and he basically
- 19:44Speaker 3: kind of subdued like all of my fears, Like he
- 19:46Speaker 3: did say to me, I can take them out, give
- 19:49Speaker 3: you a lift, cut out the inflammation and the capsulation,
- 19:52Speaker 3: and put new ones back in and you will be fine,
- 19:56Speaker 3: Like he did say that it would be possible for
- 19:58Speaker 3: me to do that, because he suggested actually that the
- 20:00Speaker 3: issues with my skin and my gums, actually I have
- 20:02Speaker 3: nothing to do with my breast implants and everything to
- 20:05Speaker 3: do with my gut. And in the past, and as
- 20:07Speaker 3: I've mentioned in previous episodes, I've had gut issues.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I've done years.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Worth of antibiotics, I've had leaky gut like, I've had
- 20:13Speaker 3: chronic infections, like I've had it all. And so he's
- 20:16Speaker 3: saying to me, Tiana, go and heal your gut first,
- 20:19Speaker 3: and spend the next six to eight months, especially going
- 20:22Speaker 3: on a gut healing journey, come back to me, and
- 20:24Speaker 3: if your symptoms go away, then I will happily do
- 20:26Speaker 3: this surgery for you. And I thought that was such
- 20:28Speaker 3: an incredible perspective too, because he's like, look, the reality is,
- 20:32Speaker 3: if you do take them out, you're probably not going
- 20:34Speaker 3: to want to put them back in. So he's like,
- 20:36Speaker 3: if you do want to keep them in, we can
- 20:38Speaker 3: give you a different implant that's going to suit your
- 20:40Speaker 3: body better, that's going to support your body, and you
- 20:43Speaker 3: heal your gut, and then we can prevent this happening
- 20:46Speaker 3: again for a second time.
- 20:47Speaker 2: So interesting hearing all the different opinions.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Hey, oh, it was really overwhelming at first, especially even
- 20:52Speaker 3: having the conversation around do I go smaller or do
- 20:55Speaker 3: I get them removed entirely? Because getting them removed entirely
- 20:58Speaker 3: would mean that I would then go down the rabbit
- 21:00Speaker 3: hole of getting a fat graft.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Is that what he's called fat trassers? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 3: fat transfer take it from your inner thigh, yeah, right,
- 21:08Speaker 3: because I would have nothing. I would go from I'm
- 21:10Speaker 3: a ten e right right now with my implants to
- 21:13Speaker 3: back to like a ten A or a B.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, the adjustment huge adjustment.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm still tossing between what I want to do.
- 21:21Speaker 3: If I could have my cake and eat it too,
- 21:22Speaker 3: I definitely would go just smaller implants, something that looks
- 21:25Speaker 3: way more natural than what mine currently.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Do with a lift.
- 21:28Speaker 3: With a lift, yeah, I would have to because if
- 21:30Speaker 3: I go like at least half the size, or if
- 21:32Speaker 3: I go even just a little bit smaller, I will
- 21:34Speaker 3: have to get a lyft.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Because there's excess skin there, Yeah, xcess.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Skin, and then I'd run the risk of having to
- 21:39Speaker 3: go for a second surgery if it comes back and
- 21:41Speaker 3: it's not the way that I want it to look.
- 21:43Speaker 2: And we asked about fat transfer as an option to
- 21:46Speaker 2: not get implants, but he just said it doesn't work
- 21:49Speaker 2: like that because depending on how much fat you actually
- 21:52Speaker 2: have to grab to start with, and then if you
- 21:54Speaker 2: put like fat in both booze but then you lost weight,
- 21:58Speaker 2: one of the boobs could go down and not the other,
- 22:00Speaker 2: and it just causes a bit imbalanced.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Didn't he say something like thirty percent of the fat
- 22:05Speaker 3: transfer can fail.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yeah, something I can't.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Quite remember, but like, oh, he said something so interesting
- 22:11Speaker 1: about it.
- 22:11Speaker 3: He's like thirty percent of what you transfer can fail
- 22:13Speaker 3: because your body is a system, like it's a full
- 22:16Speaker 3: organism that works right, and so the fat has like
- 22:18Speaker 3: blood that flows through it in vessels and things, and
- 22:21Speaker 3: when you remove it, you put in a syringe and
- 22:23Speaker 3: then you take it out of your body and then
- 22:24Speaker 3: you put it back in, and.
- 22:25Speaker 2: It's like it can fail because the flood doesn't get
- 22:27Speaker 2: to it.
- 22:27Speaker 3: It's right, So it doesn't work the same as what
- 22:29Speaker 3: it would. So he's like, it's almost not worth you
- 22:32Speaker 3: doing that, and for the amount that you would have
- 22:33Speaker 3: to do to be happy, He's like, I would actually
- 22:36Speaker 3: prefer you just to get smaller implants in.
- 22:38Speaker 2: And the last two surgeons both of the same thing too.
- 22:40Speaker 2: They you do use fat from the enna thigh just
- 22:42Speaker 2: to kind of round and give a bit more softness
- 22:44Speaker 2: at the top of the implant to soften it and
- 22:46Speaker 2: maybe look like bring them a little bit closer together.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and then there's an internal mesh.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Bra.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Did he say he'd do that for you? I think
- 22:53Speaker 2: so high.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Oh no, no, I don't think he did. Yeah, okay,
- 22:55Speaker 1: because that's always an option too, but maybe you didn't.
- 22:57Speaker 3: I think it was the first one that I went
- 22:59Speaker 3: with that. He did that, Yes, okay, yeah, that's an
- 23:02Speaker 3: option as well. But the one that I'm going to
- 23:03Speaker 3: go with actually suggested an entirely new implant.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. I can't remember what it's called. It's
- 23:09Speaker 2: not actually fully approved in Australia yet. He can get them,
- 23:12Speaker 2: but he has to apply and like show them your
- 23:15Speaker 2: case and then they like if they approve you to
- 23:17Speaker 2: get it done. It's quite new here, but it's huge overseas,
- 23:20Speaker 2: and it's like thirty percent lighter than the other implants.
- 23:23Speaker 1: And it is actually so much lighter.
- 23:25Speaker 3: I feel it in your hand. You're like, oh my god.
- 23:26Speaker 3: The other old implants I carry a lot of weight
- 23:28Speaker 3: to them.
- 23:29Speaker 2: We felt two three hundred CC's and we felt so
- 23:31Speaker 2: much larger, which was just for an active girl too,
- 23:34Speaker 2: Like that would just feel so much nicer, not to
- 23:35Speaker 2: be so top heavy.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and to just like not have so much pressure
- 23:38Speaker 3: on my chest as well. Yeah, and that'd be good,
- 23:41Speaker 3: he was saying as well. It's been used overseas for
- 23:43Speaker 3: like over ten to fifteen years or something like that,
- 23:46Speaker 3: and in Germany, Switzerland, Yeah, it's the predominant implant that
- 23:48Speaker 3: they use over there. But in Australia apparently wear like behind.
- 23:51Speaker 2: We are behind. Yeah, So where are you feeling at now, Like,
- 23:55Speaker 2: what are you more leaning towards doing.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I'm definitely more leaning towards going smaller, Yeah, because lift
- 24:02Speaker 3: with the lift. I would like to go smaller with
- 24:04Speaker 3: the lift and just heal my gut, which I'm doing.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I'm doing all of the things, all of the things
- 24:08Speaker 3: right now for the next six to eight months, and
- 24:10Speaker 3: then I can book in my surgery and give myself
- 24:12Speaker 3: time enough time to heal and if the symptoms go
- 24:14Speaker 3: away amazing. If they don't, then maybe I'll have another
- 24:17Speaker 3: conversation then. Yeah, But I think right now that's what
- 24:19Speaker 3: I'm leaning towards. And then eventually if I do decide okay,
- 24:23Speaker 3: maybe that wasn't the right decision, then I can look
- 24:25Speaker 3: at them getting them out.
- 24:26Speaker 2: So when you say for my symptoms to be gone,
- 24:28Speaker 2: would that be like no more gum bleeding and normal psoriasis,
- 24:31Speaker 2: then that would be You're like, okay, I can get
- 24:32Speaker 2: the surgery. But if they don't fully go away, would
- 24:35Speaker 2: that then change your decision?
- 24:36Speaker 3: I do think so, yeah, because if I can heal it,
- 24:39Speaker 3: then I know, okay, something that plants, Yeah, it's something
- 24:41Speaker 3: in my body that's happening. If it can go away
- 24:43Speaker 3: while I have implants in maybe that's not the cause. Yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 3: I'm sure it contributes, because he did say that. He's like,
- 24:48Speaker 3: the capsulation will contribute to inflammation in your body, but
- 24:51Speaker 3: he's like, it might not be the reason why it's
- 24:53Speaker 3: being caused. So it's like, if you can remove your
- 24:55Speaker 3: external variables, then you can go, Okay, it's either implants
- 24:58Speaker 3: or it's not, and then you can make your decision
- 25:00Speaker 3: from there.
- 25:01Speaker 2: See also the last one did he also suggests to
- 25:04Speaker 2: maybe do it in two surg weld give your body
- 25:06Speaker 2: a break. I don't think you diddy.
- 25:08Speaker 1: He said he would be happy to do it in
- 25:09Speaker 1: the once.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but give yourself this six to eight months. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 2: and that's long, definitely long enough to rebuild your gut
- 25:15Speaker 2: back up and hopefully heal those symptoms or to see that's.
- 25:18Speaker 1: What he said.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I think it was one surgery.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Which the one before that said let's take them out,
- 25:23Speaker 2: give your body six months break. Yes, if the symptoms
- 25:26Speaker 2: go away, because apparently a lot of people that have
- 25:28Speaker 2: breastplant illness symptoms the moment the implants out, the next day,
- 25:32Speaker 2: they feel better, their eyes and wrider. Yeah, they look
- 25:34Speaker 2: less swollen, like a lot of sympoms go away. So
- 25:37Speaker 2: it's like an automatic like, oh that was causing it. Yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 2: so I can see why he suggested that. But then also, yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 2: if you keep them in and repair your gut in
- 25:44Speaker 2: six months, you know that it's not related to the implants. Yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 2: so give you the same result.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but he basically just said, I'd be more than
- 25:50Speaker 3: happy to do this for you. I'd be more than
- 25:52Speaker 3: happy to do it all in one go. Yeah, so
- 25:54Speaker 3: long as you heal your gut.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 3: So he gave me a book recommendation, he told me
- 25:59Speaker 3: what to do. He's like focused on this, and I
- 26:00Speaker 3: really like it because he had a little bit more
- 26:01Speaker 3: of like a holistic approach.
- 26:03Speaker 2: He did, and I love that. Yeah, so lovely.
- 26:05Speaker 3: He's got a really beautiful bed manna. But yeah, so
- 26:08Speaker 3: it definitely took up a lot of mental capacity. It
- 26:10Speaker 3: was definitely stressing of like whether I need to get
- 26:12Speaker 3: them out, And I feel like I kind of a
- 26:13Speaker 3: grieved like having to get them out because I was
- 26:16Speaker 3: committed to what these other doctors had told me of
- 26:18Speaker 3: like you need to do this, and I just was
- 26:20Speaker 3: fighting butting with it because I'm like I kind of
- 26:22Speaker 3: I do want to keep them in.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I just want smaller, you know.
- 26:25Speaker 3: And then eventually if I do decide otherwise, like I
- 26:27Speaker 3: can think of that later down the track, but also
- 26:29Speaker 3: if it does come to my health and it is
- 26:31Speaker 3: impacting my health, then I'd get them out as like
- 26:32Speaker 3: a no brain of a decision. I would just then
- 26:34Speaker 3: go through the grieving journey and process. And again it's
- 26:37Speaker 3: just one of those things of like learning to love
- 26:38Speaker 3: myself regardless of how I look and it not being
- 26:41Speaker 3: a superficial thing and just yeah, grieving the way that
- 26:43Speaker 3: I used to look, and learning how to love my
- 26:45Speaker 3: body now for going back to what was natural for me.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Yes, in your identity and like sense of being accepted,
- 26:51Speaker 2: love detracted, whatever comes up being tied to the size
- 26:53Speaker 2: of your chest.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Of course, because that was something that I had when
- 26:56Speaker 1: I first got them done.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Yeah, me too.
- 26:57Speaker 3: When I first got them and I had nothing, I
- 26:59Speaker 3: remember thinking like, I feel like a little boy. But
- 27:01Speaker 3: I was so young then too, you know, I hadn't
- 27:04Speaker 3: fully developed, and that was just a story I told myself.
- 27:06Speaker 3: And then I remember when I got them, I was like, oh,
- 27:08Speaker 3: my gosh, I feel so feminine and beautiful and sexy.
- 27:10Speaker 3: And I really correlated that having implants with having a
- 27:13Speaker 3: chest being sexy. Yes, And then so I imagine the
- 27:16Speaker 3: journey of taking them out and going back to my
- 27:19Speaker 3: natural body would be a journey of learning to love
- 27:22Speaker 3: myself as I was, And I think I would do
- 27:25Speaker 3: well with this level of awareness and consciousness that I
- 27:27Speaker 3: have now, like I've done a lot of work, but
- 27:28Speaker 3: it would just be another layer of that having to
- 27:30Speaker 3: love myself again.
- 27:31Speaker 2: That's interesting because I am totally on s of your
- 27:33Speaker 2: ad as well. And it's like we see women with
- 27:36Speaker 2: flat chests or small boobs weather first to comment, I'm like,
- 27:38Speaker 2: oh my god, look how feminine and soft and beautiful
- 27:40Speaker 2: she looks, Oh my god, so much like so it
- 27:43Speaker 2: looks so beautiful. Yeah, it's just interesting what we've tied
- 27:47Speaker 2: all of that too. I remember the same when I
- 27:49Speaker 2: was eighteen, I just was called to wrap my whole
- 27:51Speaker 2: life and like a prawn, ripped the head off, keep
- 27:53Speaker 2: the body, like I just got so teased for what
- 27:55Speaker 2: my face looked like. So that was a big reason
- 27:57Speaker 2: why I got implants, because I'm like, okay, well they
- 27:59Speaker 2: I'm more accepted because I have a quote unquote good body. Yeah,
- 28:03Speaker 2: if I get big implants, it'll just stracked from my
- 28:05Speaker 2: ugly face. Literally what I used to think. Yeah, I'm like, oh,
- 28:09Speaker 2: what of sadness my younger version of myself of course, Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 2: it's like, that's sad. The reasons why people get so
- 28:16Speaker 2: why we go the size that we go. Oh it's
- 28:18Speaker 2: not necessary to have double ds. Oh my god, this
- 28:21Speaker 2: is not.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Necessary, say like a handfuls more than I loved them
- 28:26Speaker 3: over the years.
- 28:26Speaker 1: But god, I did not need to do that.
- 28:28Speaker 3: But I was like what you experienced. I was very
- 28:30Speaker 3: insecure at that age two wasure. I was the only
- 28:33Speaker 3: one of my family who had small breasts, and for me,
- 28:35Speaker 3: it was like this big strange thing.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I felt like I was.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Like separate, Yes, which is crazy to think about something
- 28:42Speaker 3: like surgery, And I don't think that now. When I look back,
- 28:44Speaker 3: I go, wow, like I wish I had somebody to
- 28:47Speaker 3: lead me then, at that age of you know, learning
- 28:50Speaker 3: to love myself or maybe even waiting a little bit
- 28:52Speaker 3: longer until I made the decision and spending a little
- 28:54Speaker 3: bit more time on what size I actually went. Yes,
- 28:56Speaker 3: So I went very big, very quickly. But that was
- 28:59Speaker 3: also just like what was normalized around me and.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That generation too. For like, nowadays everyone's going to get implants. True,
- 29:05Speaker 2: women are wanting to feel more feminine, more soft, not
- 29:07Speaker 2: have foreign objects in. It's more natural, like even makeup. Yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 2: you don't see people walking around with dark, smoky eyes
- 29:13Speaker 2: anymore flashes. Like everyone is going more natural, so it's
- 29:16Speaker 2: more acceptable now. It was back when we got them
- 29:19Speaker 2: ten years older than you. But even then it was
- 29:21Speaker 2: like the bigger the better. Yeah, like if you're gotta
- 29:23Speaker 2: get breasts and plants, you're gonna go big.
- 29:24Speaker 1: It's so true now.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I see videos on TikTok. It's like they call it
- 29:27Speaker 2: the ballerina first lift and it's like two hundred CC's.
- 29:32Speaker 2: It's like it's big. In New York, there's a doctor
- 29:33Speaker 2: that doesn't cause the ballerina ones because ballerinas don't normally
- 29:36Speaker 2: have chests. But they're just such small implants. But just
- 29:38Speaker 2: for women that have nothing, they now have like they
- 29:40Speaker 2: can fill out a single at least. Yeah, they're just
- 29:42Speaker 2: feeling like I've got something.
- 29:44Speaker 3: It's even like the Season of Lips and like bbls
- 29:46Speaker 3: and all that sort of stuff, Like everyone went really
- 29:48Speaker 3: really big lips, and then everyone's like getting it removed
- 29:51Speaker 3: because it's too much, yeah, you know, or they're like
- 29:53Speaker 3: things have come back. It's like everyone went really intense
- 29:56Speaker 3: and then everyone's coming back.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I think if one's coming back to natural, it's so interesting.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I've had mine for ten years now, so I'd like
- 30:02Speaker 2: to book in with our surgeon and just check to
- 30:04Speaker 2: see if my are okay. Mine are definitely very soft
- 30:07Speaker 2: and not hard, but obviously like breastfeeding and having two
- 30:09Speaker 2: babies and stuff, they're definitely change. I joke saying they're saxity.
- 30:13Speaker 2: They're not super said joke.
- 30:14Speaker 1: They're not like I've seen her naked.
- 30:15Speaker 2: They're not to make it all the time. But they're
- 30:18Speaker 2: also not like I couldn't not wear a bra with
- 30:21Speaker 2: like a low cut top, but you want to wear
- 30:22Speaker 2: a low cup top too, because I don't like male
- 30:24Speaker 2: attention that you get from wearing that. Yeah, and even
- 30:27Speaker 2: like active where that I wear, like I have to
- 30:29Speaker 2: go up in sizes and buy we're talking about this morning.
- 30:31Speaker 2: By Bikini's is quite hard because you need like say
- 30:33Speaker 2: an eight or ten bottom, but then you need an
- 30:35Speaker 2: extra large top.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It's so true. I'm like that's no, it doesn't fit.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I just want like a nice sea cup. So if
- 30:40Speaker 2: I got them done again, I think I would do
- 30:43Speaker 2: what you're wanting to do is get them out a
- 30:45Speaker 2: lift and it's.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Much smaller implanted. Yeah, and seems like don't.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I love your babies and I love them too. I
- 30:51Speaker 2: hate my boobs. That's what stopped me from going and
- 30:53Speaker 2: getting them small. Look like I hate them.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yes, And when you don't have something quote unquote.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Wrong wrong, Yeah, you need to until you're ready to
- 31:00Speaker 3: do that, until you want to go down that journey.
- 31:01Speaker 2: I think we sold the story that you need them
- 31:03Speaker 2: replaced every ten years too. Yeah, which, what do you
- 31:05Speaker 2: think about that? I asked both those surgeons that you
- 31:07Speaker 2: went to, and they said, no, it's not necessarily true.
- 31:10Speaker 2: They can last up to twenty years if you've got
- 31:11Speaker 2: no issues. Yeah, beautiful. So I don't know. I've got
- 31:14Speaker 2: you to feel, which you can't feel it. Neither can
- 31:16Speaker 2: steve it. I feel like when I've bend over, I
- 31:18Speaker 2: can feel like a little bit of like almost riffling underneath.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I wonder if it's like scar scars.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe, So I'd like him to just have a
- 31:24Speaker 2: feel and see what he thinks. But other than that,
- 31:26Speaker 2: I've had no issues. I'm sure when you get yours
- 31:29Speaker 2: and I'll be like, oh god, they look so nice.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I know.
- 31:32Speaker 1: So it'd be interesting to see when I actually do book.
- 31:34Speaker 1: It'd probably be like the end of the year. I
- 31:36Speaker 1: would say, yeah, end of the year, maybe even like
- 31:37Speaker 1: beginning of next year.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yeah. True, it's because I come to a cover, give
- 31:40Speaker 3: myself time to heal my gut. Yeah, pay off the
- 31:43Speaker 3: surgery also, and.
- 31:44Speaker 2: It also just gives you time to think. Like I
- 31:45Speaker 2: talked about my other left, like I joked about, like, oh,
- 31:47Speaker 2: when you get your son out, I want them, but
- 31:49Speaker 2: you don't get surgery unless you're one hundred percent curtain.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Very true, Like I joke about saying that, but I
- 31:53Speaker 2: just want to retrack because unless you're one hundred percent
- 31:56Speaker 2: surgeon and get it certain on getting something like don't
- 31:58Speaker 2: you don't do that? Yeah, you don't want to live
- 32:00Speaker 2: in any regret. Yeah, I knew there was nothing anyone
- 32:03Speaker 2: could have said to back me out of my upper left.
- 32:05Speaker 2: There was nothing. I didn't care what anyone else said, Like,
- 32:08Speaker 2: I knew that I wanted that for myself.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, where it was like boobs.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I'm like, oh do I nah?
- 32:12Speaker 3: So I was like, no, I'm yeah, and you're right, Like,
- 32:15Speaker 3: when you have the time to think about it, you
- 32:16Speaker 3: can actually be certain on your decision. I've been watching
- 32:18Speaker 3: this for like five years, and it's something that I've
- 32:21Speaker 3: thought about time and time and time again. It's just
- 32:23Speaker 3: did I want to go to absolutely nothing? Not really,
- 32:25Speaker 3: I've always for the last five years I wanted to
- 32:27Speaker 3: go smaller. Yeah, at least half the size.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah. So good when you feel so certain for sure
- 32:32Speaker 2: and just seeing how your gut goes, we'll give you
- 32:34Speaker 2: the answers like at the moment, you're still not quite sure. Yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 2: to go on that journey, which is so good. To
- 32:37Speaker 2: go on that journey regardless of your implants, like to
- 32:39Speaker 2: fix your gut for sure once and for all, you know,
- 32:42Speaker 2: really do everything you can to heal it. Yeah, and
- 32:44Speaker 2: learn more about your body. Yeah, and go from there.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I honestly can't wait.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Oh. The one thing we did put in the title too,
- 32:49Speaker 2: which is like the cost. I feel like everyone wants
- 32:51Speaker 2: no cost. Oh what have you been quoted from each surgeon?
- 32:54Speaker 1: So the first surgeon was twenty two grand and one surgery.
- 32:58Speaker 1: That was for first surgery. The first surgery. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 1: so the first surgery that was for xplant. It was
- 33:05Speaker 1: a lift and new so new implants.
- 33:08Speaker 2: But he said you might have to come back for
- 33:09Speaker 2: a second one, so would probably another ten to fifteen
- 33:11Speaker 2: out of that.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Second surgeon was two separate surgeries.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Ye. First surgery was fifteen, second surgery was eighteen. So
- 33:18Speaker 3: it was thirty one all up.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and then the surgeon, Now those other ones weren't
- 33:23Speaker 3: including hospital fees by the way.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Oh trueth another five grand at the last.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And then this last surgeon, including all of my hospital
- 33:31Speaker 3: fees and everything that there is to pay, is twenty six. Yeah.
- 33:35Speaker 2: God, it's gone up a lot since I had my
- 33:36Speaker 2: boobs done. So and you would have when you were
- 33:38Speaker 2: younger too, hey.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Honestly before all of the surgery fees. Oh my gosh, Babe,
- 33:42Speaker 3: I paid seven grand for my seven grand.
- 33:44Speaker 2: That's unheard of now in Australia. Wild and a lot
- 33:47Speaker 2: of people grow overseas.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and I got mine done in bonno junction. Actually no,
- 33:50Speaker 3: I got a fourth console, babe, rememor when I went
- 33:52Speaker 3: I had to look for Thailand. Oh you did too,
- 33:54Speaker 3: and they quoted me nineteen grand Yeah, that's right, said,
- 33:56Speaker 3: including flights or anything.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 2: True.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 3: So this last surgeon, the one that I am going
- 34:01Speaker 3: to be going with, I think it was around seventeen K.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And then on top of that wall of the surgery fease, yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 1: creeps up higher.
- 34:07Speaker 2: You get the first cuadit you're like, oh, and then
- 34:09Speaker 2: it's like hospital feet and it sees your feet.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Honestly, I was like, seventeen K. That's fine, I can
- 34:12Speaker 3: do that, and it just like bumps off. Another tank
- 34:14Speaker 3: came like not really want to want to be paying
- 34:16Speaker 3: for surgery, yes, you know, but for my health necess
- 34:19Speaker 3: different story.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Capsulation, You've got it.
- 34:21Speaker 3: If they weren't capsulated, I would be like, oh, I
- 34:23Speaker 3: could probably push it out.
- 34:24Speaker 1: A few more years.
- 34:24Speaker 3: But it honestly, it does something to my brain, like
- 34:27Speaker 3: knowing that they capsulated. I just want to get the
- 34:29Speaker 3: scar tissue out and support my body in the way
- 34:32Speaker 3: that it can and then almost have like a refresh
- 34:34Speaker 3: and like start again whilst I'm also healing my gut.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yes, oh, one thing I want to add too. So
- 34:38Speaker 2: the second surgery and you went to he basically said
- 34:42Speaker 2: I can cut some of the scar tissue out and
- 34:44Speaker 2: then the rest will just be pushed back onto your
- 34:46Speaker 2: chest wall and will kind of like not dissolve away,
- 34:49Speaker 2: but just kind of mesh back into your body.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Yeah, like heel over or something.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yes, And then we bumped into an old girlfriend of
- 34:54Speaker 2: mine at the airport and she was like, oh my gosh, no,
- 34:57Speaker 2: you need to get a full.
- 34:57Speaker 1: On block on block.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, where they remove the whole capsulation and get rid
- 35:01Speaker 2: of as much of the scar tissue as possible.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's a huge difference.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's called like on block like e n BLC
- 35:09Speaker 3: I believe is how you spell it. And this surgeon
- 35:11Speaker 3: that I'm going to be going with, he does the
- 35:12Speaker 3: on block. There's only a couple in Australia that actually
- 35:14Speaker 3: do the full on block of them very rare and
- 35:16Speaker 3: like even all the other surgeons didn't even mention it.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I didn't mention a single thing.
- 35:20Speaker 3: But it's he said, you've got to do this because
- 35:23Speaker 3: what tends to happen is even if women get the
- 35:25Speaker 3: implants out but scar tissue stays, or the remaining scar
- 35:29Speaker 3: tissue is not all cut out, the women can still
- 35:31Speaker 3: continue on with their breast implant illness symptoms if they
- 35:35Speaker 3: don't cut it all out. But if they cut it
- 35:36Speaker 3: all out, they can start fresh. And he said it
- 35:39Speaker 3: actually reduces the percentage of you getting capsulation again because
- 35:43Speaker 3: you cut it all out and you clear it out,
- 35:44Speaker 3: and then it can heal over.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Another thing my friend said, which I found super interesting.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I haven't known anyone for this to happen to, but
- 35:51Speaker 2: she said that the surgeon I've gone to and you're
- 35:53Speaker 2: going to go to, he's cut some out before, and
- 35:55Speaker 2: there's been mold sitting behind the implants, which mold sickness.
- 36:00Speaker 2: If you've ever done any research into mold sickness, it's
- 36:02Speaker 2: so bad. Like the sym as you get from mold sickness.
- 36:05Speaker 2: That's just wild that can happen. That grosses me out,
- 36:07Speaker 2: that's wild to think about that. I freak out if
- 36:10Speaker 2: that came out of my body. But the moment he
- 36:11Speaker 2: takes implants out, the next day, these women just feel,
- 36:14Speaker 2: oh my god, a hundred times better because he's removed
- 36:16Speaker 2: the mold out of there.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Also, Oh, he's so funny.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Even having this conversation and just like coming back into
- 36:21Speaker 3: like taking implants out entirely. I sometimes do wonder what
- 36:24Speaker 3: it would be like to be smaller. And you know,
- 36:26Speaker 3: even when I see women when they wear like a
- 36:28Speaker 3: singlet top and they have no bra and literally I
- 36:30Speaker 3: can see their nipples. I'm like, it looks so feminist,
- 36:32Speaker 3: so beautiful, so feminine and so flowy. They usually have
- 36:35Speaker 3: their hair out and I'm like, oh god, I would
- 36:36Speaker 3: what I would love to like walk around like that,
- 36:39Speaker 3: just natural and just feel free and to just be
- 36:41Speaker 3: all of myself Like I see that.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, it's like so beautiful.
- 36:45Speaker 2: We saw that in Megsie when she came to the tree.
- 36:47Speaker 1: She's so feminine, so beautiful.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I'm just like, oh soft.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, with my implants because of the size there,
- 36:54Speaker 3: I feel hard and I feel top heavy, and it
- 36:56Speaker 3: almost makes me feel bigger than I am.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes me feel like I feel wide up
- 37:00Speaker 1: the top.
- 37:01Speaker 2: It's such an interesting conversation as we go back and
- 37:04Speaker 2: forth with.
- 37:04Speaker 3: What absolutely, yeah, definitely to have one more conversation with
- 37:08Speaker 3: that surgeon to just confirm which surgery should be the
- 37:10Speaker 3: best option, and then we'll book her in. Yes, I'll
- 37:13Speaker 3: give you guys an updately and how we go.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Yes, I think I've answered all the questions and that
- 37:18Speaker 2: you can normally come through. I hope you guys enjoyed
- 37:20Speaker 2: that a little update. Oh that's a question I got
- 37:23Speaker 2: asked too. Will I be sharing before and after photos?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Maybe I haven't been, Like, oh my god, that's something.
- 37:27Speaker 2: I didn't want to talk about the whole process on
- 37:29Speaker 2: social media as I was going through either book, because
- 37:32Speaker 2: I didn't want to be known as that. It's so hard.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Like we said this before in a previous episode, you're
- 37:36Speaker 2: damn if you do an your damn if you don't.
- 37:37Speaker 2: If I didn't talk about it, and then people notice
- 37:39Speaker 2: I've had something done, people call me alive not being transparent.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Then when you do talk about it, like oh, she's
- 37:44Speaker 2: so fake and she's promoting plastic surgery and she's a
- 37:46Speaker 2: bad role model for the younger generation. So it just
- 37:49Speaker 2: feels like torn. And that's why I didn't share it
- 37:51Speaker 2: as I was going through it, because I'm like, I
- 37:52Speaker 2: don't want to be known for that and for that
- 37:55Speaker 2: to be like on my page all the time. They
- 37:57Speaker 2: feel like kind of the same about four and afters.
- 37:58Speaker 2: So maybe I might show them my stories, but it's
- 38:01Speaker 2: not like a permanent post that I want on my page.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Everyone's like, oh, go see how she's surgery. People come
- 38:05Speaker 2: to you for surgery and then no, it's not what
- 38:08Speaker 2: I want to be known for. But I also have
- 38:10Speaker 2: no shame in talking about it, Like I'm not embarrassed
- 38:12Speaker 2: as a decision that I wanted to do. It's just that, Yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 2: I'm still navigating how to talk about Like some things
- 38:18Speaker 2: are just not worth talking about. Other things. It's like, oh,
- 38:20Speaker 2: we can see if I had something done.
- 38:21Speaker 3: I remember, I've never spoken about plastic surgery until I
- 38:24Speaker 3: did this one story after we'd spoken about on the podcast,
- 38:27Speaker 3: and I did it on my Instagram stories and I
- 38:28Speaker 3: literally had somebody who was previously in my life, like
- 38:31Speaker 3: an older woman who was in my life, who made
- 38:34Speaker 3: a comment about me being like, no, no, no, don't share that.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Don't share that. You're going to cop a lot, like
- 38:38Speaker 3: a lot of shit from that, and like how you
- 38:39Speaker 3: could feel her judgment and being like why would you
- 38:41Speaker 3: want to share that?
- 38:42Speaker 1: People don't need to know that.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Just so interesting. Everybody has a strong opinion on it.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Definitely, Yeah, it's interesting. But we hope that gives you
- 38:51Speaker 2: guys a lot of details. And we are open books
- 38:52Speaker 2: and we have the conversations that no one else is
- 38:54Speaker 2: prepared to have yeah, but yeah, there's a line of
- 38:57Speaker 2: like it's always in the back of my head of
- 38:59Speaker 2: like what's going to come back from this? You know,
- 39:01Speaker 2: what are we going to say or how are they
- 39:03Speaker 2: going to twist it? Or what are they going to
- 39:04Speaker 2: make out you to be? But that's also our journey
- 39:06Speaker 2: to just like let it go, yeah, let it go, yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 2: and just talk about the things we want to talk about.
- 39:10Speaker 1: If it lands lands, if it doesn't, that's okay too.
- 39:12Speaker 2: The whole let them theory, let them say what they.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Want to, let them and then let me, let us,
- 39:17Speaker 1: let us do what we want.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Thanks for joining us, guys. Make sure you stay tuned
- 39:22Speaker 2: for Tomorrow's a bestie one. It's a big one.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Bye bye.
