- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:47for bereavement, for trauma. And to some.
- 0:52Extent a way of mitigating grief and I was working with a client
- 0:59that was in a plane crash a light small basically it's a.
- 1:06Seaplane. The kind of ones that you see
- 1:08floating on the ocean before they take off and it and it.
- 1:11Crashed and there. Was a tragedy.
- 1:14A few people died, including the partner of the client that I was
- 1:17working with, and something fascinating happened while they
- 1:22were submerged underwater and that is that they had a thought
- 1:27that it wouldn't be OK if their children lost both their
- 1:35parents. And for some.
- 1:36Reason that unlocked a real intent to get.
- 1:42Out and almost have. Clarity of thought in the midst
- 1:47of. A crash and and that that felt.
- 1:51Profound to them. So what you're going to hear in
- 1:53this hypnosis session is doing what I tend to do if someone's
- 1:57been in a traumatic situation is to ensure that.
- 2:02The memory. Is perceived from a
- 2:04disassociated perspective rather than relived one of the
- 2:09attributes or elements of PTSD. Is to relive.
- 2:16A horrible moment, as if it's happening in the present from a
- 2:18first person perspective. So having this element of stage
- 2:23disassociation. Where it's seen.
- 2:25Almost like you're watching like a movie on a screen can be very
- 2:28helpful. To reduce the.
- 2:30Probability of some symptoms of PTSD to keep the memory but have
- 2:35a more. Objective view.
- 2:37Of that memory. The second key part of this is
- 2:41that they wanted to feel. That they.
- 2:45Survived for a reason. And the great thing about
- 2:50therapy is that even if you can't change what actually
- 2:53happened, you know, we can't go back and change time and
- 2:56actually change the laws of physics as to actually what
- 2:59happened. But you can change the meaning
- 3:02and the narrative that you give. Things.
- 3:05A good example. Of that is if someone is.
- 3:10Let's say abused or physically assaulted.
- 3:13For one person, that could mean that they feel like a victim and
- 3:16they hideaway from the world. And for someone else, it
- 3:19inspires them to get stronger and perhaps even protect other
- 3:24people. So it's not the thing itself,
- 3:26but the meaning that you give the thing.
- 3:29And this client really wanted to feel that they lived.
- 3:32For a. Reason.
- 3:33And even if they didn't know exactly what that reason was,
- 3:36they knew it would be positive and not just good for their
- 3:40children, but good for the world.
- 3:42And I appreciate that this is a very specific hypnosis
- 3:47recording. And the probability that you're
- 3:49listening to this in the aftermath of a plane crash where
- 3:54you're the survivor and someone you love isn't, is incredibly
- 3:58low. So don't listen to this hypnosis
- 4:01session from the perspective of. Relevancy of that.
- 4:04Kind, but more from the broad message that if you are alive
- 4:10right now, you are alive for a reason Lots of people have had
- 4:16near misses in their life you know we we've all got.
- 4:20Two or three stories of if. Something went slightly
- 4:23different. We wouldn't.
- 4:24Exist. And therefore it's possible for
- 4:28almost all of us to. Have this idea?
- 4:30That we are alive for a reason. And I want you to listen to this
- 4:34hypnosis session from that lens so it becomes more about how it
- 4:40can become empowering for you. Or you can, you know, because I
- 4:44know lots of hypnotherapists listen to the show.
- 4:46Just my approach of dealing with someone in the aftermath of a
- 4:52tragedy of a traumatic event and the grief of losing someone they
- 4:56they love. So you can look at it from an
- 4:58educational perspective. But if you do want to really
- 5:01kind of extrapolate and utilize something empowering for you,
- 5:07consider the the fact that statistically there is something
- 5:13like trillions to one odds that. You wouldn't exist.
- 5:18You know, if you look at it from a biological level, from a
- 5:21cosmic level, the probability that we are even alive in this
- 5:24moment is incredibly small. And yet we.
- 5:26Are and therefore you can look at it from the perspective that
- 5:29you are alive for a reason and the more that you lean.
- 5:33Into that reason. The more fulfilled your life
- 5:36will be, obviously, because it is so niche.
- 5:39It does. Highlight the point that I do
- 5:41very tailored sessions for clients and if there's maybe a
- 5:45complex issue that you're dealing with right now and
- 5:49you're thinking, well, a hypnotherapist couldn't help
- 5:50with that. Because it's.
- 5:52So niche, it's so unusual or it's so rare.
- 5:56Maybe worth having a conversation with me.
- 5:58Ioffer free consultation calls. We can have a chat and we'll get
- 6:02a sense of whether or not my approach might be helpful for
- 6:06you. It may be, it may not be, but we
- 6:09can find out on a consultation call pretty quick.
- 6:11So if that appeals to you, that specific.
- 6:14Issue that you've. Got that?
- 6:15Maybe you don't think other people would understand.
- 6:17Let's have a chat about it and we can see if we can work on
- 6:20that specifically for you. In the meantime, have a listen
- 6:23to this because you might find value either in the story of
- 6:28resilience that this client definitely had or some way of
- 6:33finding more value, purpose, and meaning in your life.
- 6:36So find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be
- 6:38disturbed. Relax and I won't say enjoy the
- 6:41session, but I will say experience the.
- 6:43Session take a deep.
- 7:06Breath. In and as.
- 7:09You breathe in. Feel that you're breathing in a
- 7:13feeling of relaxation, and as you exhale, allow your eyelids
- 7:20to relax so much that they close.
- 7:25And as they close, notice how much more of your attention you
- 7:31can give to the sound of my voice as you continue to breathe
- 7:38in relaxation and exhale tension.
- 7:47The more relaxed you feel. The deeper you can breathe, and
- 7:54the deeper you breathe, the longer you exhale.
- 8:01And the more. It feels like tension or perhaps
- 8:08even sadness could be released from your body.
- 8:14No need to hide anything. No need to bury anything.
- 8:20This is the time to release. Positive.
- 8:26Emotions are flowing in. Through your nose.
- 8:30But as you exhale, feel that now is the time to just let go of
- 8:40anything that is not needed. Take an even deeper breath in
- 8:57and start to scan your body for any clues of tension or stress.
- 9:04Every emotion. Has a location.
- 9:08Tension can be around the jaw, the neck and the shoulders.
- 9:13Anxiety around the gut, and sometimes sadness feels like
- 9:19it's around the throat or the heart.
- 9:23Scan your body and feel that just by thinking of that
- 9:29location, you're releasing whatever that emotion may be.
- 9:41Consider breathing like a transfusion, breathing in what
- 9:46your body needs and exhaling what it doesn't, and feel
- 9:53yourself sinking into a sense of deep comfort and ease.
- 9:59And with each breath, just let your mind drift, feeling like
- 10:07you're floating or sinking effortlessly, like a feather
- 10:14caught in a gentle breeze. And as you settle into.
- 10:21This peaceful state. Imagine yourself stepping.
- 10:26Into a place. Of quiet.
- 10:28Observation a space beyond time. Beyond the weight of the past,
- 10:42where you can see everything with a sense of clarity and
- 10:46understanding and use the power of your.
- 10:53Imagination to imagine. A doorway that leads to your own
- 11:02private cinema. Imagine.
- 11:05Walking through the door, finding a comfortable.
- 11:09Seat and seeing a huge screen reminding yourself you are in a.
- 11:16Room. Looking at a screen, you are
- 11:21safe. And then perhaps imagine on that
- 11:29screen seeing an island perhaps. Perhaps seeing boats, the sea,
- 11:49maybe you can see the choppiness of the waves or a calm sea.
- 11:59I want you to get a sense that you were not in the sea on an.
- 12:03Island on a. Boat.
- 12:06You were in a chair watching a screen of these things.
- 12:17You now a silent watcher, and I want you to observe a seaplane.
- 12:27Notice the colour of it, the shape of it, just about to take
- 12:34off. I want you to see.
- 12:41From the comfort. Of that chair looking at that
- 12:43screen, the seaplane attempt to take off then something happens
- 12:53and the plane nose dives back into the sea submerged
- 13:00underwater. I want you to get a sense.
- 13:07Then you know that there are people on that plane.
- 13:13There is a. Pilot.
- 13:14On that plane, but you're just seeing it all on a screen.
- 13:23I want you to get a sense there is someone that looks just like
- 13:27you on that plane under the water.
- 13:38I want you to get a sense that as you're observing this, you
- 13:42witness something like a guiding force or a whisper of wisdom, a
- 13:49message that just comes. Through the chaos.
- 13:53Imagine a thought being teleported or placed in the mind
- 14:00of that person that looks just like you.
- 14:05The children can't. Lose both their parents as you
- 14:10imagine that thought being placed in the mind of that
- 14:13person that looks like you see resourcefulness being unlocked,
- 14:24knowledge of what to try and what to do and see what that
- 14:29version of you did. Almost like you're seeing it
- 14:33through the lens of an. Underwater camera.
- 14:39Maybe see yourself and strapping a seat belt swimming up,
- 14:45attempting to gasp an air bubble.
- 14:52See the way in which you were able to get through a broken
- 14:58window. And I want you to get a sense
- 15:06that what if this thought didn't originate within you?
- 15:11What if it? Carried something greater,
- 15:13something beyond you. Maybe it was the voice of
- 15:20someone, someone you loved, coming from them, straight into
- 15:30your mind like like a telepathic thought.
- 15:38Or perhaps it was an Angel guiding you, reminding you that
- 15:49you still had more to do, more to give and more to become.
- 15:58And as you observe this moment, you realise that thought was
- 16:05like a key. It unlocked a strength, a
- 16:10resourcefulness, a tenacity, a willpower you had gathered
- 16:16throughout your life. And what if it was that strength
- 16:22that enabled that? Person that.
- 16:25Looks just like you to escape. Against all odds, they survived.
- 16:40And now, as you watch from this distant perspective, perhaps a
- 16:46higher perspective, What if you begin to see a deeper truth?
- 16:55You survived for a reason, the chances were small, and yet you
- 17:03made it through. And because of that, you simply
- 17:08must be here for a purpose. Primarily.
- 17:14For your children to give them love, to guide them, to raise
- 17:19them with even more strength and wisdom to assist.
- 17:23In whichever. Way you can, but also perhaps
- 17:29for something beyond that, something bigger.
- 17:35Than you. Bigger than the accident, a
- 17:40greater meaning waiting to unfold.
- 17:49And now that screens go blank. But still there in that comfy
- 17:53chair, in that private cinema. But now you're seeing your
- 17:58future, see yourself stepping forward in time a year from now,
- 18:04five years from now, perhaps even further.
- 18:10And as you see this future on that screen, you see a life
- 18:16shaped not by tragedy but by transformation.
- 18:22You see yourself strong or resilient, living not just for
- 18:26survival, but with intention, with impact, and you.
- 18:31See the resources. The knowledge, the.
- 18:33Compassion you have. All of that things that you've
- 18:37accumulated through your life, all being deployed in ways that
- 18:42help others, and your intuition will tell you sooner or later.
- 18:52Through a thought. And idea and epiphany.
- 18:56A voice that just seems to be there.
- 19:01What this purpose, this meaning will be perhaps something
- 19:07selfless, just as other people have done selfless,
- 19:13compassionate things for you. Maybe you end up paying it
- 19:18forward to someone else. Someone.
- 19:21That can never. Return the favour.
- 19:24That in turn may end up helping someone else in a positive way,
- 19:29creating a wonderful ripple effect that ripples all around
- 19:34the world. What if you can harness your
- 19:43intellect, your knowledge, your skills to vibrate a wonderful
- 19:53frequency that resonates with the world?
- 20:03And even in this future, get a sense of something.
- 20:07Profound that even. From the darkest moments, light
- 20:12can emerge, and even from the worst pain, healing can be
- 20:17found. That even in tragedy, treasures
- 20:24can be uncovered. As you breathe deeply in and
- 20:32out, allow yourself to accept the truth.
- 20:38You survived for a reason. You are here for a purpose that
- 20:43your life, your love, your presence has meaning and feel.
- 20:50This knowledge settling. Deep within your heart and feel
- 20:54it resonating in your soul. And know that as you walk
- 20:59forward, you do sue with the unseen presence of love still
- 21:06guiding you, still watching over you, still whispering
- 21:13encouragement in your quiet moments.
- 21:15And when you feel a growing sense of that deep purpose, even
- 21:25if it's yet to be revealed, just know that it's there and it's
- 21:32now time to return. Return to the here and now with
- 21:35a new feeling of perspective. So take a deep breath in through
- 21:42your nose and out through your nose.
- 21:46Start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 21:49Start to calibrate you here and now in this moment as I now
- 21:55count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 22:00Starting to count. 123 waking up, 456 more alert. 7-8 open.
