- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: They are fluid as well.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: Constantly adapting to your energy center.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: But each energy center have its own overarching theme.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: And from that theme, we can trace it to a nerve plexus, which is just a highway of nerve that exits out of your central nerve system and they innovate in endocrine gland.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I'm not trying to make this too heavy, but the endocrine glands are all about producing your hormone.

- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're returning listener, welcome back.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this episode is such good timing.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the perfect time for this episode to come out with this time of year.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: because we're talking so much about energy and our chakras and we have a lot going on, right?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like there are a lot of kids going back to school and if they haven't yet, it's going to be happening in the next couple of weeks.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of changes are happening with work, sports, like everything.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's just such a good time and it's still hot out.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So we're still dealing with like summer, yet shifting into like work and school modes.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot going on and I think this episode is really gonna help you guys kind of get grounded and
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: taking understanding of how much of our energy and everything that's going on in the outside of our life impacts what's going on inside of our body it's so true this episode's going to be great and I just kind of wanted to remind you guys take this moment to remind you of where you're at right now in this time of year it's August
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I know I'm breaking podcast rules because you're not supposed to talk about what the real time is right now because you could be listening to this next October.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I just want you guys to kind of do a recap of like your summer.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, how did that truly go?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: Are you happy with your results?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Are you happy with where you ended up at the end of the summer months?
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Did you put on weight?
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: Did you take weight off?
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Did you really hustle through the summer runs and you got great results?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Did it not go so well?
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always asking guys to just pause and kind of recap where you're at because life just takes over, right?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like we can just go, go, go, go, go, go.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't take a moment to just stop and see like where are we truly at?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: What are we after and and we miss those pauses in those pauses are so important to have in our life when whether we're talking about like our emotions right and something happens and I'm always reminding you guys and my clients and my kids and everyone to like pause
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on, is that factor fiction, right?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Is that factor feelings?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just pause.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I want you guys to take this pause with your health and fitness journey.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Many of you have been listening to me for a really long time and I love that you're returning and some of you are a brand new.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: So if the pause is new to you, I want you to just take a minute and think about this pause because it's going to give you a lot of insight of like, okay, where am I coming from?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Where am I right now?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: And where do I want to go?
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: and it's really important to take that pause and decide where do I want to go with my life?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like seriously, where do I want to take this journey?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: What direction do I want to go with it?
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I have clients that killed it this summer.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like my one on one clients, my clients and bomb.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: So many of them.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was a month that they were like, or a couple months that they were like, no, I'm not going to do that anymore.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: What didn't serve me is not working.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not going to put on repeat.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now, with that being said, that took a long time to get there.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: And my clients will tell you like,
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I've been on this journey for a while, but it's like something clicked.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: I want that moment to happen for all of you.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: I want something to click and I don't want you to have to hit rock bottom in order for it to click.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Rock bottom moments don't have to happen or for progress to happen.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: So don't forget that.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do they happen?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, do they do rock bottom moments, create a lot of change?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Rock bottom moment is what, like, create a change of my life several times.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't have to get there.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're listening to this, maybe this is your wake-up call.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to go to the show notes.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to book a call with me.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing free discovery calls again.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: We can book a call and just do like a phone, twenty minute one.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: We can get on zoom and do a little bit longer, depending on what you need.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: But you can't do anything by just being an active.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: like you can't create any change by doing nothing.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I told you guys this before, time and time again, deciding to not decide and just be is still deciding.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: You just don't want to admit what you're deciding to do or not do.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Say all that ten times fast.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I always like to just put a little bit of introduction in the beginning of every, in the beginning of every single one of the episodes and just talk to you guys for a minute because we're gonna dive into a lot and I think it'll get your mind thinking but right now I want you to like think about where you're at, write it down.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: Are you happy with your body?
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Are you happy with your fat?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: What needs to change mentally?
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: What pieces of your puzzle are you missing?
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Are you showing up at the gym in your nutrition but your mindset sucks?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Because remember if you don't have that mindset shift with the journey that you're on
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: and you're working on the mental changes, having crucial conversations, journaling, getting into therapy, doing all those things, your body and your mind is just going to go back to who you were before.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Our brain loves what's familiar.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I can't stay this enough.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure you're doing the shifts there.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going to therapy and you're doing great mental shifts and you're staying on top of your stress, okay?
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: But you're not going to the gym.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're not picking up heavy shit and putting it down.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's a problem too.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: We have to have all of the pieces come together.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of my job.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: I am a puzzle piecefinder.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of you have your puzzle pieces all over the floor.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: You have some connected.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: You're doing great, but you need to bring all the pieces together, but you don't know where they are.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: You lost them, or you know clue what you're supposed to do.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I come into play.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I want you to go to the show notes, take a look at the website.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's Melissa, what we'll fitness.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many different ways that we can work together.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: And if you are completely lost and you don't know, book a free call, because come September, October, I probably won't be having those anymore.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: But you're always welcome to look in the show note and look and see if there's still a link, but I'm here to help.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: And again, this episode's going to wake you up a little bit.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's with Dr. Mary Sanders and she has a wealth of experience as a self-employed medical intuitive and a car tractor.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: And Dr. Mary is deeply committed to guiding individuals on their journey of personal transformation and she focuses on helping people.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: cultivate thriving, health, happiness, purpose through the powerful tools of energy medicine, spiritual embodiment, and meditation.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Mary is incredible.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: She's also the host of the internationally acclaimed podcast Energy Medicine, which discusses like everything related to alignment of the mind, body, spirit.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: She's incredible.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is going to touch you.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about like our first energy center, the safety, the trust is security.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Why that's important.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: We go through the shock rose.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's such a good episode.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are going to love it so much.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then I want to know what you think.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I also want to know what type of episodes do you want coming up in the future.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: So right into the show, it's Melissa Vogel at gmail.com.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Super easy.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's Melissa Vogel at gmail.com and then follow me on Instagram, Facebook.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's Melissa Vogel.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Send me a DM.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of live there and I will get back to you, but we love hearing from you guys.

- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, everyone.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the bomb life podcast today.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: We have Dr. Mary Sanders on Dr. Mary.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the show.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Melissa.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sincerely so excited.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm honored to be sharing space with you and your listeners.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know, me too.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so thrilled that you're here.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime I see the word intuitive come up and then in a caraparker, I'm like, oh, we have to have Dr. Mary on.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, all of this.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Give me all of the energy and the intuitiveness and like all of it.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really, really excited to chat with you today.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: But you do it all.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you are a doctor, you are a caraparker, you're an intuitive, you are the host of the podcast, the energy medicine podcast,
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: you're an author, like what haven't you done?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Seriously.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot I have not done and that is yet to be, you know, manifested in my world.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you for that introduction.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: So let's start with the basic because I'm sure people here that were medical intuitive and they're like, what is that?
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Can you explain to us what a medical intuitive is and what you do?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, I'm happy to.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I like starting a conversation out with defining how I hope space for others.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it's unique, you know, quite honestly, I'm so excited to hold up and to support other people utilizing my strength.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: And as you mentioned, my background is in parapractic now quite honestly, I think two days ago with my thirty first anniversary from graduating parapractic school.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: So been a couple, it's been a minute, been a minute that I've been doing those.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: And second of all, I have a specialization and positive psychology.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm always looking to better understand what conditions allow people to thrive.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then last but not least, I hold space at the medical intuitive, which you would just asking about.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: So are they medical intuitive?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now listeners, I'm just going to start with the premise of the foundation of my belief system.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that as physical bodies, we are still made up of ninety nine point nine percent energy and point one one one percent matter.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: And so when we experience this organization or malfunction within the physical body, I know that the origin of those mishaps that you will come from an energetic base, the foundation, the foundation of the electro magnetic current.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: that surrounds us in everyday life, the environment that we, you know, move through in a fluid way, every single day, that environment, that electromagnetic energy can filter into our own bio field, which eventually is just the space surrounding our physical body.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: And ultimately, Melissa, the energy can penetrate into the physical body, disrupting our homeostasis.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so when this happens, it can create the space, this organization, in energetic and balancing.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: So when I hold space for people as a medical intuitive, I'm holding space for the intuitive information to come down
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I receive it whether it be through sensations and my physical body is clear sentience.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: My, at the other skill set that I have is that I receive and perceive energy through my hands, so I'm very adaptive psychometry.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: And then I am clear buoyant in my direct knowledge and abstract information is pretty spot on as well.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was a lot, but that makes sense.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, as I like follow with everything that you said, what would you say to the person listening right now that's going?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: My energy field is what is causing my shoulder pain or my back pain.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: How does that?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: What do you say to the person first saying that and think you're sitting there thinking that right now?
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: I totally understand.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: I totally understand because I worked for my pain model for so many years working as a chiropractor.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I went from treatment bay to treatment bay to treatment bay just going through and addressing the physical issues.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I learned, I learned through experience that some people respond to a spinal manipulation, some people do not.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was just left in that quandary as to, I don't understand.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing the same thing, essentially the same modality on these people and some are responding and some are not.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I leaned into the idea, what a...
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: The origin of the pain was coming from someplace else.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then that's what started my journey.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: But that's what bought me back to the journey that I knew to be true from a very young age.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm happy to expand upon that.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm very curious.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you mean at a young age did you, you knew that?
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so, listen, please, the first thing I'm going to say is just because I knew at a very young age that I was intuitive does not mean that you are not.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that all of us have the capacity to be in to receive intuitive information.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely without an out there are no exceptions.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: So here's my story.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to make it pretty quick, okay?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I was born hearing impaired.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: So my hearing capacity is fifty percent as to what a normal person here.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I went undiagnosed until I was probably about three, three and a half.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so literally, yeah, Melissa, this was before they did the hearing test.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, hearing test on in the late sixties.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, I'm already revealing my age, but that was a while ago.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: And so three years went by.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm Melissa had the luxury of playing in this space energetically between here, the physical plane and there, whoever there is and want to play.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now,
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't hear my mother talking to me.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't hear my two older sisters, but I definitely felt the love and the energy.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so my belief system is that if you are, if you experience a physical disability, a handicap, a less than sensed, you will naturally develop extra-thensary perception of being able to receive information so that you can a survive in this world,
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: and be assimilate knowledge.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so I literally, Melissa, I felt my way through the world.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so like I would touch fabrics, I would touch people, I would touch things.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was just trying to gather information.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's what started my psychometry.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: And as if you remember, I defined a psychometry as the ability to perceive or receive information through the hand.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: Simultaneously.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was in a household in which my father was, and I don't like this term, but he was a functional alcoholic, meaning that I don't think that any outform of alcoholism is the functional, but he was a good provider.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: He should have worked every day.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: He just was emotionally very volatile.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so I couldn't hear him coming into the house, right?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: If we were downstairs watching TV, I couldn't hear him, but I could feel him.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: And more importantly, I could feel the changes in the shift to my two sisters and my mom.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's how I really started to develop my clear sentence.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the ability to receive information through your own physical body.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Melissa, if you were to have a guest on your show tomorrow, and you would say, hey, define cytometry or define clarinetians, they will give you a much different definition, because each person who has these experiences, experiences it differently, right?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: So fast forward, I decided I wanted to be part of this family, you know, with the youngest of three in a Midwestern town, Catholic, you know, family.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to fit in.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to be mainstreamed.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so I decided that I was going to kind of start to desensitize my weirdness where my woo was stopped.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so I went through kind of like my young adolescence, and I would get spontaneous information.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I would go home and I'd be like, oh my God, mom, listen, listen, I have to tell you, I just witnessed Tom.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Tom was being escorted onto an ambulance.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know that he had a clap as long.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: I know this doesn't matter about him.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: And my mom, I remember just instinctively we were sitting in the kitchen and she turned.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: She looked at me like I was like, off my rocker.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, there's no way, no way that you could know this information.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, but my, my, my, I know I'm right.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm right.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, not for me to go at place, but I would just like, this is factual.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so, and I know you shared, you have an highly intuitive daughter.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to suggest Melissa when she comes home with these off-the-wall statements that you lean into what she's asking from a place of curiosity.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: So that she can start to develop, you know, she can explain like how she's receiving information.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: So that's my little, you know, my little side track there, but, you know, trying to vaccinate right now.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh my God.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's just, you know, everybody has their story, right?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: Mind if you're just really cool.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: But my decision to meet, right?
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I even though I was hearing a period, I was mainstreamed to my education.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I was raised in a highly perfectionistic competitive household so that, you know, I just excelled.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I just kept my nose down.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: I tried really hard, put forth a lot of effort.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I excelled academically.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so then after I finished my, you know, from a high school then I went into
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: study chemistry and zoology and my undergraduate degree three days after that, I was sitting in a paraptic school.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: And Melissa let me tell you something, I sat down and the first lecture was like, okay, how many of you feel information?
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, looking around the classroom, like, anybody else?
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah!
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: And they were like, they wanted me to lean into that.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, I feel so much information from my hand, y'all, it's not even funny.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: So then, you know, obviously I tried really hard in Cairo Park to school and I got my hands on as many people as they possibly could.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: And it gave me the permission to lean into something I intuitively knew that I was good at.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's kind of how it started, right?
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: So know that I went and I started practicing and I explained to you for the first ten years, I just did mechanical work, right?
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just did mechanical adjustments.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then I started to realize that I was running energy.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: I was running frequency based upon the person that I was treating.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then I started getting comments like, how did you know that was there?
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you do, but I, for you just know exactly where to go.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, those were probably, you know, the bus compliments so people could give to me, but it allowed me to follow my intuition even more.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, fast forward.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: My husband and I decided because I was going through a really big emotional burnout with my practices.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: I developed successful practices that they were large.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: They were hot high volume and I was miserable.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: So my husband's like, hey, do you think that you could possibly like leave this behind?
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, can we get a fresh start?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh my god, I know.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, absolutely.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: We cannot.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: I have devoted over twenty years to my practices in a lot of sweat equity went into this and a lot of effort.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of money, not to mention money, that went into it.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: So you make a long story short.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: I knew I had to make a change.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was going to, I had to tear the bandaid off.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: I literally just had to rip it off.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we sold everything including our home and the contents within our home.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: And when we moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City, we had not.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: And Melissa, I woke up literally on the other side of the world in like this huge identity crises.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, who am I?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: What am I doing?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: Why am I here?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: What am I supposed to be doing?
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: What, what, what, what, what, what, what and why?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so I had to sit with that discomfort and it was so painful because I had lost my true worth trying to achieve to be a successful businesswoman that I'd lost what my intention was and that was to be a healer.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: And so I love coaching in city and I went to Bali, Indonesia.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I completed my my yoga, YTT.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: I came back to Vietnam.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I found a love with meditation.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: That took me on a journey to upstate New York to study underneath Dr. Talbin Shahar to better understand the neuroscience behind meditation.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then it led me back to Vietnam, led me to South America.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then I started doing a non-profit organization for teacher to embody the principles of mindfulness and positive psychology.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then I even that just was not enough.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't fulfilling my soul.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when I was like, okay, this is it.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: Folks, my husband was like, marrying.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Go and do what you've always wanted to do it.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yeah, but, but, but, but, you know, it's not practical.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, really using that as an excuse.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, oh, I guess I am.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, they'll do it.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that's when I enrolled in the Academy of Intuition Medicine.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: So now, and they held this space for me to explore all the other strengths that I had intuitively.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so now I sit back in my strengths and I hold space for others who are looking to heal old traumas or wounds to overcome living belief system very much.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: You and I align with this Melissa that if the mindset is in the way of a healing transformational journey, you're not going to get very
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: far.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: No man.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: So here I am working at the medical intuitive.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: I do work in person.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: I do more work remotely.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I've got clients on the world.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, Mary.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: I loved that I just learned this about you for the first time from you and I didn't like read it from somewhere and stuff.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: What a story.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: What a background like for real.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I love hearing all this about you because it just goes to show
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: how much you have experienced, how much you have struggled to, and you have learned who you are through all of that, and it got you to wear your hat.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, my things that you're saying, like, coming home and things with my daughter, I'm just like, oh my God, I feel that.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can totally feel that, and we have been leaning into that very much, but I think there's so many people too that still, and that's why I was really excited to have you on.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: We don't realize that connection between our energy,
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: and the physical things going on and how we all do hold this power.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think somewhere just more in tune than others like you and ever all the work that you've done.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to ask.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: So when people are in person and they're like laying there on the table, do you feel drawn to a certain area at first?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know when they first walk in?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: Do you put your hands on them?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and this is just me personally asking.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now like now I'm just like how does this work when they come in like how does your brain work with that type of energy in space when you're doing this?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well, for the most part, Melissa, I don't do hands-on.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: So if somebody comes in, we are in a seated position.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're probably about a good six to eight feet apart.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so the first thing that I do, Melissa, is I sat in an entrainment frequency.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I ground both of us.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: And for the listeners, basically I slow down the physical body.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I create, it's like you know, tuning into a
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: am a radio station, like you've got to go through a lot of dials before you get that clear signal.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so the harmonization is really very palpable for both people.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then once I open up the entrainment and the field, then I ask for permission because I receive a lot of information and I'm not going to share information if people don't want the information, you know, that it can be overwhelming because you can truth it, it can be violating.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: So then I hold the space and then what happened is that I sense and say, yes, I am immediately magnetically attracted to a certain area like I feel it within my physical body, part of my Claire sentience.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very committed to my own personal routine just like you are.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: So that we kind of know our body is exceptional.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we know it's something that ours and we're not.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so I lean into my clear sentence.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: I feel word is and then I open up the field for dialogue around it.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then I then the energy information just starts to flow.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: Do you do chakra work as well?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: I could talk about Chakra's awe.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you know, the human body never ceases to me.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's been over thirty years in a day that I don't hold space for somebody that I'm just like, oh, wow.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for showing that to me.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: And now, Melissa, I'll talk about this a little bit later if you wish, but I have a tool.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: I now have a tool that will literally read the bio field from the physical body.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: So now I can match my intuitive hits with something that matches an energetic blueprint of the person's energy field.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's fascinating to me.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: So for the listeners, I know there's some of you out here.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to just kind of flow down for a minute as you can hear by the my the pace of my voice, I get excited when I talk.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: I know, so do I. It's okay.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: So of chakra is in energy center located.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: The ones that I'm referring to today are located within the physical body, but there are many chocolate that run within the physical body and outside of the physical body.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: And a chakra is just a vortex.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I think about your kitchen funnel, the funnel that you use to take a liquid or solid and from a large container and transferred into a small container.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: So think about the wide mouth and the narrow spots out.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: And so the wide mouth of an energy system known as the shocker is facing out towards the environment.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: The narrow spot is focusing in towards the spine or the vertical power current.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: So the easiest way I can describe this is that there are three primary functions of an energy center.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to receive information from the environment.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to assimilate that information.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then they are going to express your life force energy out into the environment.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: So first, receive second assimilate in third express.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: And think a bit like this, think a bit like your autonomic nervous system.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: We don't consciously think about our heart beating or our brain.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Long-standing or our digestive motility.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: It just happened.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: So the theme is true for the energetic system.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's our, the chocolate is our concern.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's an autonomic process in that you're receiving and assimilating and expressing
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: at all times with your environment.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: And the environment, Melissa, are your people, places, things, the items that you choose to surround yourself with.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: It could be the people that you went, you know, your group fitness, you know, that you, the people that you've worked out with this morning.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was yoga class, maybe it was weight training.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's the people that you, the patients that you saw this day or maybe it's the people that hold food or maybe it's the person that you went and saw the gas station.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're always in flux with the fluidity of your environment.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: So your shockers are not stagnant.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: They are fluid as well.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: Constantly adapting to your energy center.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: But each energy center have its own overarching theme.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: And from that theme, we can trace it to a nerve, plexus, which is just a highway of nerve that exits out of your central nerve system and they innovate in endocrine gland.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I'm not trying to make this too heavy, but the endocrine glands are all about producing your hormone.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: The hormones get released.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: They get sent into the blood supply.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: They travel back up to the brain.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: And then all of the sudden new neural peptides are being created, which elicids your emotional response to the environment.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's so thinking fast.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it is incredibly beautiful.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: Beautiful.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Bomb Life Fam, I have a question for you.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: Are you the kind of person who crushes it at work?
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: Show us up for your family checks off every to-do list.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to your fitness, your energy and your confidence.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like something's missing.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: You might be doing the workouts listening to all the right podcasts.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you are listening to this one.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: But deep down, you know you're just kind of going through the motions and you're done playing small in this area of life.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly why I created FitMine Coaching.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: My private one-on-one program for high-achieving women and men who are ready to level up.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't just another fitness plan.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is about building the body and the mindset to match the life you're working so damn hard for.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: Because success in business means nothing.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you're hiding in hoodies, avoiding mirrors or dragging through your day was your energy.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: Or, showing up on Zoom meetings, feeling good from the chest up, but praying no one ever sees what's going on below the screen.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about fat loss, muscle building, and real confidence that bleeds into every area of your life.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Your boredom, your bedroom, and your parenting.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: You want it all?
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: You should have it all.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Click the link in the show notes and book your free call with me today.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: Let's build the strongest, most competent version of you inside and out.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're ready for more, and I'm ready to show you how back to the show.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to have to back up with that one.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what was that?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm trying to understand like how the shockers relate to these physical symptoms.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, like like like what you were just expressing.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: Take me back again because like maybe I missed it and beginning how that affects the hormones and like in an creating an imbalance.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because just a shirt and and break it was like shocker over dummies because I know a lot of them are trying to take this in and we hear the terms and we see the map you know of the person sitting there and all of the different colors that light up like from the forehead down the body like that's what
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: the lay person thinks of the shocker and like, oh, this is the energy system I've had, but like really understanding how that affects our hormones and everything and taking us into that.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I think we lose people and they don't see the power of it.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I'm gonna take myself as an example.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I am using myself in this example, because I think that there are many people listening who have experienced trauma in their life.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so this is how trauma, how you, how, let me just play this through.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: Take myself on a young person, right?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm four or five years old.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know intuitively, like my environment is not safe.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not laying down there watching TV lately, completely relaxing.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: I've got thirty percent of my central nervous system is wired to be on defense at all times.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you're in an unstable environment, that's what your neurology does.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: So that thirty percent is going to go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so what that happens when that happens, it affects your first energy center.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: Your first energy center located deep within your pelvis, okay?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: Think about just below your belly button, think about where the bones come together to people's offices within the pelvis.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: Think deep deep deep within the pelvis.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: So if your environment is unsafe, you're not gonna trust.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to trust your environment.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to trust your people.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's just neurologically wired within your physical hardware.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have difficulty thinking in the safety.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: So trust in safety and survival are there three things of the first energy center located deep within the pelvic bone.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Trust safety and what did you say?
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: Security security.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if you don't have those things, your central nervous system, you're going to be kind of wired a little bit too fast.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be on the front.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to be more sympathetic driven.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be more in fight.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: You're ready to fight, flight, or freeze.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, you're like describing me to a tea.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so then here you are.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: You're ready.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: You're crying, right?
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: You're trying to fight because that's just what has been wired.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: You and I both know that if we want to heal, we need to be on the opposite spectrum.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: We need to be in parasympathetic mode when we're resting.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're digesting and we're able to heal.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: So here I am, this small little person I'm wired to be defensive, right?
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: My adrenal work starting to be an overload.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: So what does that mean?
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: It means that I've got a high level of adrenaline.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a high level of cortisol, DHEA, epinephrine, nor epinephrine.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to speedy little Gonzalez, right?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: I can't, I don't sleep well, I don't judge digest well, I don't relax.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just wired defensively.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's me at three, four, five, six.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Take me at thirty.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm still wired that way.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still wired that way because of the influence at a very age.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Now, so we're thinking about that first energy center.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: We've now made the connection into the adrenal system.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: We know that how that affects our autonomic nervous system.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: And the body part that show up for me are gonna be my butt, anything that connects with the butt, hips, thighs, knees, ankles, feet.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: So here I am, kind of like maybe I'm down.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, below waist down.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe I'm like extremely constipated.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, you know, I did hemorrhage because I can't really have school because I'm so constipated.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: Or I show up with sciatic type issue that numbness and tingling that travels from the butt all the way down through the calf into the heel.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Or I lose that mobility, that mobility within the hips.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, maybe I have knee issues or very capacities as I get older.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe as a young kid this was me, I, I, I sprained and strained my ankles all the time because I was just wobbly and grounded a little thing, right?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: So each energy center has a theme, it has connected nerves, it has connected organs, the endocrine system, so that there's hormones that come and get released and has body regions.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's so fascinating.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've never heard it.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: Ben thrived that way before.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: And like that area affects that part of the body.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure there are people listening that can relate to like the person you as an example.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know I did what you're describing as you as a child.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was so on edge as a kid and I never knew I never felt safe.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: I knew it was like, what's going to happen next?
- 37:17[SPEAKER_00]: Where am I going to go?
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: And most of my problems were from way down.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many people that can probably relate to and be like, oh my god, this makes sense.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: So since we're making the connection with us, and now as an adult, we both said we're part of this category, and I know the majority of the listeners can rather than anyone else.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: We are.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes we have a hard time aligning with our purpose.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like our true North.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now come on, people, I know you know what I mean by that.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we're overachievers, right?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're overachievers, but we're trying to overachieve in areas that are not in alignment with our purpose.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Perhaps I'm in my self included that we have a hard time trusting like a capital TRUST as if it's a poor lot of word it's a which is not but if trusting that the you that I will always be cared for I will always be loved right I will always be nurtured
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling this because I've done a lot of healing.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: But those of you listening, you're like, oh, go, I'm not sure if I can say that out loud.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm not there yet.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not there yet.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: But no, if you are battling those issues where you're just having a hard time financially producing, trying to find your way in life, having a hard time trusting that you're loved cared for in nature, and know that that all comes from the overarching theme of the first energy center.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: So many light bulbs are going off right now for so many people like wow like mine blown can you talk a little bit more about the imprint like that trauma leaves?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: Even if it happened as an adult, you know, I think that a lot of people think
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: Probably their first response to trauma is like, oh, yeah, I experienced trauma when I was a kid, or this happened to me in college.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: The trauma can happen at any age, and especially as an adult too, at any age, it leaves this imprint, this energetic, like, imprint on our shockers.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Can you talk a little bit more about that?
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: And what that does to us over the long and long periods of time?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: OK, so I'm going to shift to my area of focus, OK, for example.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I mentioned earlier that the conversation that I'm having today focuses in the revolves around the seven lower shockers, physically located within our body.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I talked about the first one being deep within the pelvis.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: The second one I'm going to briefly touch upon it is just below the belly button.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is associated with the reproductive system.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know that most of your listeners are women.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, we think about the hormone.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, estrogen, pedosterone, testosterone, you know, those are the hormones that get released within the second energy center.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: And the overarching theme in this area is creativity.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I mean, not only in the creation of another human being, right, is we're born to the birth to others.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about like you're creative, like what's your greatest desire, like what do you want to create in this world?
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go into this base of the third energy center, which is located just below the ribcage in your upper abdomen, known as the solar plexus.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: This is all about control, autonomy, sovereignty, individuality, self-worth, self-confidence.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: So you said, hey, Mary, tell us what happens when you experience trauma.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: Trauma can be a small key repetitive trauma.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: It can be a big life event, big tea trauma that everything imprints into the neurology of the body.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: So let's say that you are in a household in which you have a domineering parent or a overbearing or over controlling parent.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: And they want you, they want a pigeonhole you into this little identity that fits within their box within their family's structure.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now I know some of the listeners are like ding ding ding ding ding ding.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: That happened to me.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: That happened to me and it happens to a lot of us happen to me too as well.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: So let's say that there was an influence that constantly when we started to shine our light or when we became more people with big personalities in this world and we were constantly told dim it down, quiet down, be breakdown a notch.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's the statement that I heard.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's a small key trauma because it was repetitive because I heard it.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: So many stinking times.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: That ended up compromising and was stored within my third energy center.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my third energy center, which controls your pancreas primarily, but think liver, gallbladder, pancreas, clean.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so what ended up happening
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: Those nerves that enter into those organs are primed, are made up of the interagent nervous system, and within that you will find very different branches of the vagus nerve.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: The vagus nerve is a cranial nerve, but it innervates some of those organs and those tissue.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so to make a long story short, the vagus will hold on to trauma neurologically and store it in the tissue of the physical body.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: So then I quickly learned that my digestive system was not up to par.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I was this overactive over achieving the person.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then all of a sudden, my gastric disease or microbiome or my ability to process some fruits, you know, have a gluten sensitivity, things of that nature.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's biochemically showing up because of this stored trauma within the tissue showing up in the energy center.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Melissa, I'm gonna say when I'm holding space, it's not uncommon.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's not uncommon to feel like vulnerable.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was hiding.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was hiding this pretty good and crazy.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's seeing this and she's talking about it and because she's talking about it, I can't ignore it anymore.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: It happened to me just two days ago, I had a patient and she lost and she's like, I'm so confused.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still confused because I'm not, you know, she's like, I want to process this, but I'm not sure how to, you know, what just happened?
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: What just happened?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what happens if people don't do anything about this?
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: What happens if we hear someone hears this?
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: They know it's there, small tea, big tea trauma, like, and we just leave it.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: What's that look like?
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to rear it's ugly, had it some time.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: You can only ignore it for so long.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: I would the queen of ignoring a lot of things and tell it became, you know, so symptomatic that I couldn't ignore it anymore.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I think too, like, and correct me if I'm wrong, this is just my own theory that like, I think when we ignore things like that and we don't do the work, we will continuously create an environment around us to support that to continuously happen again.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, we're to like, like, if our
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: that stuck in it so our brain believes that this is something we deserve or this is way it always is even as an adult we will create and find partners or environments to just keep that going absolutely one hundred percent without it out I know it to be true yeah and it's interesting because like I see that so much with the work that I do
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: which is so crazy and I know people get upset at me when I talk about this kind of stuff.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: But like, with the work that I do with like health and fitness, people will create an environment to keep them stuck in where they're at.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like they don't realize that they're like, no, really, like my life is busy or I can't do this or whatever.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't see that subconsciously, I think, no, you are keeping certain foods in the house, you are keeping your schedule so busy and not creating space for your workout.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is happening also because it's very familiar to you and changing this and becoming someone different.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: Our brain loves what's familiar, right?
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's foreign to you and that's scary.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of people will jump in and that's why they do like these six week boot camps.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: They want these chains really, really quick.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden they lose weight.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: They drop twenty five pounds and they're like, I don't know how to beat this person and their environment and everything they believe in their belief system and everything in their energy.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: still supports that person that was twenty five pounds heavier.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then people don't see the connection and they're like, no, life just got busy kids went back to school and that's why I gained the weight back.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, no, no, you wouldn't have nothing to support your changes.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is this making sense?
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Do I make sense to you?
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see what I'm saying?
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: I absolutely love and hate with what you're saying.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll even share a story for myself that
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, finally clicked.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was one of these people who are always fluctuated with this ten pounds, right?
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I was always medically attracted to the number that was on the show.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, everyone does.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so then, and then I was like, this is just when am I going to overcome that slide?
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fifty six years old.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: This is just ridiculous.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to go to my grave carrying this trauma or this whatever this is.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this yo yo, this belief system with me and so then,
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: What ended up happening is that I realized that my desire was not around a number on a scale.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: My desire when I think about retirement and what retirement looks like for me is that there's a lot of freedom in my retirement with the opportunities for adventures.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I wanted adventures to be activity filled.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so it became about fitness, like my flexibility, my strength, my endurance.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that is what keeps me in that fitness level.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Not the number on this scale.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's so much more than that.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: But man, as our culture just revolved around like focusing on that one thing.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure you probably see people that come in that are like, I just have back pain or I just experience this one thing, you know, can you just help me with this?
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you're probably meeting I'm going, ah, have you ever dressed like what's happening here that happened to you when you were fourteen?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and they're like, what?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: No, just this.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just need help with this.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: And people come on pride with like blinders on.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: Every day and so it's my job because I've been there and I've done it and a lot of people do it.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: My job is to hold space and to educate them.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it happened after trust has been established and also, you know, it takes time to educate.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so then it's a journey and I'm happy to go on that journey with people and if I don't feel like they can make that bridge of that gap
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: then I'm always happy to refer them to somebody who just will adjust this mind and that's it.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have any like daily practices or like rituals that you could share with us that we can do in our own home that would help us our own
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess I'm always looking for ways for our listeners to take control just small things that they can do on their own, you know, obviously get help work with people.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_00]: I am big on coaches and practitioners and all of that, but there are so many things that we can do on our own.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to know like
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to give you the one tool that I wish I would have known, from the first day that I entered into carapractic school.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so this is what I know to be true because we live in a fluid environment and we interact with the environment.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: We consciously or subconsciously allow other people's energy to permeate into our own energetic system.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then we get super confused.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like what's my energy and what's everybody else is?
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: As women, that's just what we do, we're like,
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're trying to do this somehow.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I have learned that there is a, before I start this process, listeners, there is a guided meditation free of charge on my website, specifically for this.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: And it's called the, it's called detached alignment.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's part of a three part downloadable series free of charge on my website.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so the detached alignment looks like this.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I know at the end of every day, I'm going to take about five minutes for me.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: I do it before I leave my office so that I can go home with a cleaner energy.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I will sit down.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: I will make a point to flow down the bio rhythms and ground and meet and greet the frequency of the earth.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Then what I do is I just kind of like, okay, all right, wow, okay, I've interacted with a lot of people today and I place my hands out because I just am gifting back the energy that I exchanged or received or encountered throughout my day and I put people in bubbles.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_01]: So again, you heard me talk about, I'm gonna put my, the people I practice yoga with this morning.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna put them in one bubble.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna put all my patients in another bubble.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to put all the news and social media that I've read in another bubble.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then all the miscellaneous people and then of course I'm going to put my husband and his own little bubble.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then I sit and I literally
- 50:55[SPEAKER_01]: Connect with an energetic stream that leaves my hands and goes to these various different bubbles with these spheres of influence.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: And as as if, Melissa, I'm giving them a birthday cake, a birthday product, a Christmas gift.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: Day, I literally sit back once I make this energetic connection with all these various different bubbles that are outside of my biofield chances outside of my physical structure outside my building.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I wait, I wait until they're satisfied with all the energy that I have gifted them.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know how it is, you give a kid a new toy on Christmas and they're going to be ecstatic for about an hour and then they can do theism starts to wind down.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: The same is true when you're difting back the energy to other people.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: And so then I wait until that's complete.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then Melissa, what I do is I retrieve the energy that right flew along to me.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: So the energetic stream that we're going outwards is now coming back to me.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I wait until I receive all the energy that rightfully belongs to me.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I love this so much.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting like chills.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I are.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then I'm like, okay, and then I newly separate.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I sever those cords.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sometimes if it's a really, maybe you've got one client who you're experiencing challenges with and maybe you really need to take a pair of scissors and sever those cords, but most everybody else you're going to be able to sever really easily.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then I just bring my awareness back to self.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: I re-go about it and then I go about my evening.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then that way, I know that the energy that I'm carrying home is mine.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: That is such in this, you're saying this detachment alignment meditation will take you through this process.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's about a fifteen meditation.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: I see like, yeah, perfect.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: Totally doable.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're not asking people to sit down for sixty minutes and do this.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no, that's a beautiful thing, but like,
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is so easy.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I'm so grateful for you to come on today to and just talk about this energy field, the power of this, how much it impacts us, and how much control that we do have over this.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that, you know, we can get help with this.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's enough people that understand how all of this works.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: how much if impacts our lives and I'm just I'm so grateful for you to come on and just keep sharing this and keep this conversation going to help people because it's not just about working out the food we eat like yes, those are all like very important pieces to our puzzle, but there's so much more to this life and our energy and intuition and just all of it.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't thank you enough for like bringing this together to us and like I don't know, just explaining it in a way that our brains can understand it.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_00]: We can see the power of it.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_00]: giving us free tool.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just so grateful for you today, Dr. Mary.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is fabulous.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: Melissa my honor when I said that you know I struggled and finally my true north this is my true north and so it's always my honor to educate others and to share the wisdom you know I mean what's the point of going through all these heartaches or these life experience I know can't get to a place in which you can share the experience without being triggered so that that's wisdom yes
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I agree.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: I've been through a lot and I asked myself that same question, I'm like, you know, well, what was the point?
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: If I can't take this and learn from it and then help others learn from it and share that energy and how that energy changes.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what are we even doing here?
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: What's even happening right now?
- 54:32[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me a little bit real quick about your podcast, the energy medicine podcast, what people can expect when they start tuning in.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, kind of you're so blast to be able to hold space for this podcast.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's met a more pathetic over three years.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: And basically, we talk about all things that align the mind body and spirit.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so I alternate.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_01]: I alternate doing dust and having, um, credential practitioners and people like you on the show that can really highlight how all pieces of the puzzle.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: And then I also do solo cast so that I can really dive in deeper to the energy system.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then that way people have a better understanding as to resources that they have for healing themselves.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited.

- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's your opportunity to interview me to see if I might be a good match for you and what your needs are.
