- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:47created for an already successful client that wanted to
- 0:51level up in their ability to become disciplined and get those
- 0:57things done that they would quite often procrastinate on or
- 1:00just not do them with the intensity that they would do
- 1:04other things. And this guy was very good at
- 1:08kind of fitness and in business. And he said this phrase which I
- 1:13thought was really important. And that is when it comes to
- 1:15working out and going to the gym, he'll do it even if he
- 1:18doesn't feel like it. And we can call that a standard
- 1:21or we can call that discipline, but clearly it didn't start that
- 1:25way. He built that habit.
- 1:26He built. That standard and in other areas
- 1:30which were more administrative or those things that perhaps
- 1:36haven't been linked to momentum and discipline yet felt more
- 1:41challenging. So there's a couple of things
- 1:44here. One, it starts with regression
- 1:46to. Regress to a.
- 1:47Point where he can observe that there was something he now does
- 1:52to a high standard that initially did require
- 1:55discipline. So we're regressing to a.
- 1:58Resource state. Second, we're associating into a
- 2:01role model. There was someone that he knew
- 2:04that had high levels of discipline, flow States and high
- 2:08standards that if he had those same states, he could accomplish
- 2:12a lot more. So we've got a disassociation
- 2:15into a role model state and then associating into those
- 2:18resources. And then we've got a couple of
- 2:20bits of timeline, so seeing the timeline of the status quo and
- 2:24then seeing the timeline if he was able to access more of this
- 2:29discipline and momentum. So there's a bit going on here.
- 2:32What I quite like about the induction is that in this
- 2:36particular case, the client had. A place that.
- 2:40They go to when they relax. That wasn't a place that
- 2:43actually experienced. They could remember a commercial
- 2:46for a travel company showing this kind of picturesque beach
- 2:50and that's. What they?
- 2:51Thought of as a relaxing place. So we actually have that in the
- 2:54induction. What I like that is that most
- 2:57times when I work with clients, the induction is a place they've
- 3:00actually experienced this client hadn't.
- 3:03But it doesn't need to be. You know, you can have your
- 3:06imagination take you to fictional places.
- 3:09You know, I've done a few sessions in the past based on
- 3:13planets that don't even exist. So it doesn't have to be
- 3:16something you've experienced to be a level of disassociation or
- 3:20be linked to the idea of relaxation.
- 3:23So. If you would.
- 3:25Like to level up in the level of discipline, particularly in
- 3:29certain things. And, and as I was recording this
- 3:32with the client, I was thinking, I'm going to listen to this
- 3:35recording because there's certain things where I'm trying
- 3:37to learn something new that I know I need to practice more and
- 3:41I need discipline in that area. So I'll be listening to this in
- 3:44the same way that you're listening to it now.
- 3:46So it's always good to think of where it would be most useful so
- 3:50that you're priming the outcome that you actually do want.
- 3:54Of course, it was created for an individual.
- 3:56So if you do like the idea of a bespoke session just for you and
- 4:00your individual circumstances, there will be a link in the show
- 4:02note where you can schedule that free consultation call on Zoom
- 4:05and we'll have a chat. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:08comfortable place where you won't be.
- 4:09Disturbed, relax and. Enjoy the session.
- 4:42Take a deep. Breath in
- 4:55and as you breathe. In Breathe in a resourceful
- 4:59feeling of calm and relaxation, and as you exhale you feel a
- 5:07wonderful sense of release as it feels like tension is starting
- 5:18to melt away. And maybe you could imagine that
- 5:24tension slowly leaving your body in your outward breath.
- 5:36As you breathe in and breathe out, just allow the breathing to
- 5:42slow, to get longer and deeper as you realize that the more
- 5:51relaxed you become, the more your imagination awakens.
- 6:00Finding it's so much easier to record a memory or think of an
- 6:06intention. And I want you to think of a
- 6:11memory or create the idea of seeing a commercial for a travel
- 6:21company. I want you to imagine seeing
- 6:27perhaps even just a few seconds of a pristine beach on a screen
- 6:33in front of you. White sands, clear waters.
- 6:45Perhaps you can even imagine those palm trees that seem to
- 6:49come out of the sand at an angle, leaning towards the
- 6:55ocean. And just imagine that thought
- 7:01and slow it down. Slow it down in slow motion,
- 7:07like 200 frames a second. See the waves almost roll in.
- 7:14In slow motion, any movement of the palm trees becomes a gentle
- 7:22sway. And use the power of your
- 7:26imagination to feel like you're floating into the screen, no
- 7:35longer watching a commercial. Imagine being on that beach.
- 7:44Maybe you could imagine blue skies, warm sunshine, maybe even
- 7:51the feeling of that soft white sand underneath your feet.
- 7:58And I wonder if you could imagine walking on that beach,
- 8:03hearing the waves gently break on the shore, but then seeing a
- 8:12very comfortable hammock tied between 2 palm trees.
- 8:20There is no one else on this beach.
- 8:22It's just for you. And maybe the hammock is
- 8:29slightly in the shade and I want you to imagine how good it would
- 8:35feel, just like Goldilocks did when she tried out that bed to
- 8:44try this hammer count and notice it's even more comfortable than
- 8:52you expected. The distribution of your weight
- 8:58is perfect, the kind of hammock that supports you but has that
- 9:06movement enabling you to sway slightly.
- 9:11And I wonder, I wonder if you could access that full level of
- 9:18mindfulness that you're capable of.
- 9:23Then notice your breath, the smell on that beach, the
- 9:28temperature on your skin. Perhaps you could imagine a
- 9:36gentle breeze and the sound of the waves.
- 9:43And the more you notice, the deeper relaxed you feel.
- 9:52I want you to get a sense that the rhythm of the waves on the
- 9:55shore is becoming hypnotic, a slow, steady rhythm that seems
- 10:02to synchronize with the rise and fall of your breath.
- 10:11The air is warm but perfectly comfortable.
- 10:18And as you feel comfortable on that hammock, feeling the
- 10:28pressure of the weight of you on the hammock but supporting you,
- 10:34it almost feels like you're floating on air.
- 10:41And you come to the conclusion that this is your place.
- 10:46The place that is conducive to profound changes, unlocking
- 10:53powerful resources. And as you sink deeper into
- 11:00relaxation, notice how the tension is melting away from
- 11:09your shoulders, your arms, your legs.
- 11:14And the steady movement of the hammock again starts to
- 11:19synchronise with the inward and the outward breath.
- 11:25So now the movement of the hammock, the movement of your
- 11:27breath, and the sound of the waves all seem to be in harmony.
- 11:39But because your attention and what you imagine to be the sound
- 11:42of the rhythmic waves rolling in a steady calming pulse that
- 11:48seems to synchronize now with your heartbeat.
- 11:54Maybe there's other sounds of nature, sea birds or perhaps the
- 12:02breeze in the trees, perhaps even the whisper of the wind as
- 12:08it moves through the leaves of the palm tree, But also anything
- 12:16else around you. And very soon I'm going to
- 12:21countdown from 12:50. With each number, you'll feel
- 12:26yourself sinking deeper into this peaceful state, deeper into
- 12:30the hammock, and the hammock will gently cradle you, guiding
- 12:37you into an effortless flow. 10 feeling the weight of your body
- 12:47sinking in but fully supported. 9 the gentle rocking, soothing
- 12:55your mind and softening any tension.
- 13:00And then 8 breathing slower, deeper, more effortlessly.
- 13:08That's it. And release that as seven, you
- 13:12feel lighter, this weird paradox.
- 13:17Sometimes you feel cradled and sometimes you feel like you're
- 13:19floating above the havoc. And then six, deeper into
- 13:24relaxation, deeper into a mindful flow state as five, the
- 13:33world around you seems to fade into stillness, like you are now
- 13:39in slow motion. And then four, every muscle
- 13:43loosens, gets relaxed and feels at ease. 3 The space between
- 13:56your thoughts gets wider and quieter as your thinking slows
- 14:04down too, as to a profound sense of peace and calm washes over
- 14:11you just as the waves wash over the white sands.
- 14:19And then one deeply, deeply relaxed, feeling like you're in
- 14:25effortless comfort. And from this place of deep
- 14:30relaxation, your mind is open, ready as you embark on a journey
- 14:42of wonderful transformation. And I want you to drift back.
- 14:55Back to a moment when you started something new that
- 15:00required discipline, Something that in the beginning felt like
- 15:06an effort, felt uncomfortable, and yet over time became second
- 15:15nature. And maybe it was learning a
- 15:20skill, maybe it was training for something, maybe something that
- 15:29became a habit. But I want you to see yourself
- 15:33as you were in the early days. Without that discipline, it
- 15:41wouldn't have become second nature.
- 15:47There are thousands of people, if not millions, but because
- 15:51going to the gym the very first time is uncomfortable, they
- 15:55never go back. Sometimes discipline return
- 16:02something that feels uncomfortable, comfortable, and
- 16:07if you can recall a moment from your past where you did that
- 16:10difficult thing using that discipline, but over time it got
- 16:16easier, just let me know by nodding your head.
- 16:22And I want you to get a sense that there are some things right
- 16:26now in your life that are like that.
- 16:31Let they get easier and easier because the discipline creates
- 16:36the momentum. I want you to think of a moment
- 16:41when you were a child in a playground.
- 16:46I want you to see a roundabout. I want you to get a sense that
- 16:52when the roundabout is stationary, it requires effort
- 16:58and strength to get the roundabout moving.
- 17:03But interestingly, once the roundabout is moving, it takes
- 17:08almost no effort to keep it spinning around.
- 17:17Think of that thing that required the discipline.
- 17:20It required the discipline in the early days or when that
- 17:26roundabout was slowing down. Fast forward through time and
- 17:34watch how that initial discipline and effort turned
- 17:39into a habit that paid you dividends for years after How it
- 17:46became a new standard for you. Imagine that is planting a seed
- 17:55in your subconscious mind. But some of these things that
- 18:00you find difficult are just because you haven't got enough
- 18:05speed in that roundabout yet. Just a bit more discipline will
- 18:11create a feeling of momentum and soon they become easy for you.
- 18:19But other people will look at you and assume that you need
- 18:22discipline everyday, but you don't.
- 18:27The discipline is just to launch this new habit.
- 18:31Once it's in orbit, no effort or little effort is needed.
- 18:42But let's take you back from the past to someone that you know
- 18:51has certain resources or strategies that would be useful
- 18:55for you. And I want you to think of a
- 19:00specific person who already has that discipline mindset.
- 19:07The resources are even the balance that you believe would
- 19:12help you the most. Maybe you know this person
- 19:17personally, maybe they're a mentor, or perhaps even someone
- 19:24you admire from a distance. Hold an image of them in your
- 19:30mind's eye at a point where they don't just have those qualities,
- 19:38they exude those qualities. They have them in abundance.
- 19:42And when you can recall that person in that state, let me
- 19:49know by nodding your head. Notice how they carry themselves
- 19:59their body language. Their Physiology, their facial
- 20:04expressions, their confidence, their focus, their drive.
- 20:09But also observe their attitudes, their beliefs, their
- 20:13standards. I want you to see them at the
- 20:18time when it isn't easy, but they get it done anyway.
- 20:27I want you to get a sense. Then a new belief is forming in
- 20:32your mind that anything that anyone else can do, experience,
- 20:39or feel, it's possible for you to emulate.
- 20:42That their focus can be your focus.
- 20:50Their standards or balance can be yours.
- 20:55Nothing is off the table. So to begin with, just observe
- 21:03them from a distance, like watching a film of their life,
- 21:10absorbing the patterns of excellence they embody, their
- 21:15standards. And when you see them at a point
- 21:20in time where it would be most beneficial for you to have those
- 21:24strategies, those beliefs, for those resources, imagine pausing
- 21:31that movie and stepping into their world, stepping inside
- 21:39their body and seeing the world through their eyes.
- 21:46Something that would currently be a challenge for you is not a
- 21:49challenge for them because they think of it differently.
- 21:54So notice how it would feel to be in their body with their
- 21:58resources, but thinking of something that was a challenge
- 22:03for you recently. And notice when you think of
- 22:07that challenge, it seems more achievable, easier to start a
- 22:16winnable battle, perhaps even when you're in a dialogue is not
- 22:23of aversion or repulsion, but of excitement, intrigue, or desire.
- 22:31You want to do that thing. It calls you.
- 22:37It feels like this is well within your capabilities.
- 22:48Feel that inner confidence, those unshakable standards.
- 22:57It's not only something attainable, but something that
- 23:02the more challenging becomes, the more it unlocks a flow state
- 23:07within you. That hybrid of capability and
- 23:16mindfulness gets you in a state where time becomes distorted.
- 23:26Things that once were difficult are now easy, like you've
- 23:32extracted something from the matrix that now has unlocked
- 23:35something powerful within you. And as you think about that
- 23:41challenging thing, imagine doing it and you might be thinking
- 23:48like how they think, but it's now you're in a dialogue, it's
- 23:53your resources. Perhaps you can even feel more
- 23:59determined, more motivated, more tenacious than they would.
- 24:06What if their resources is just whetting your appetite to take
- 24:10it to an even higher level, to move through life with that
- 24:17element of certainty, intensity, but also not obsessiveness?
- 24:26You, more than most, are aware that becoming obsessed often
- 24:35comes with challenges in other areas.
- 24:39I want you to feel just like Goldilocks.
- 24:41Then you're reaching the point where it's just right, that
- 24:48point before it turns into diminishing returns, that point
- 24:52where you get the maximum value before it leads to those issues
- 24:59with health or relationships. And if you find that sweet spot
- 25:05the ideal balance, let me know by nodding your head.
- 25:12And I want you to feel this as a feeling within you.
- 25:18Some people feel anxiety in their guts or stress in their
- 25:21shoulders. And if that's true, then you can
- 25:24also feel this standard within you and notice when you name it,
- 25:34you can recall it quicker. And maybe it is discipline,
- 25:39maybe it is motivation or flow or power.
- 25:48Some people call personal power the ability to get done what
- 25:54needs to be done. When you name it and locate it,
- 26:00you unlock it. And when you feel like you know
- 26:03where it is and what it is, just point to that location.
- 26:16That's it. Give it a colour and then
- 26:21amplify that colour. You know, have a location, a
- 26:26colour. Make it brighter but also give
- 26:29it a sound. Consider these mnemonics to make
- 26:35it easier to harness and anchor this state when you need it
- 26:39most, as you feel that their qualities are merging with your
- 26:48own, creating something more powerful than just your version
- 26:55or their version. Their discipline, their way of
- 27:00accessing flow is now integrating with your
- 27:04subconscious to create something even more powerful.
- 27:13But before we return to the present, let's explore two
- 27:16different futures. I want you to imagine seeing
- 27:22your life like it's two different pathways going in
- 27:27slightly different directions. Each pathway takes you five
- 27:34years into the future. But first, let's visit the
- 27:39future where you don't harness this state.
- 27:43Your standards remain the standards as they were before.
- 27:48The future where you stay on the same trajectory, maintaining
- 27:53just your current level of discipline, just allowing things
- 27:57to unfold as they are now. Not a bad life, some would be
- 28:03envious of that life, but a life where you don't fully tap into
- 28:09what's possible for you. So let's travel down that path
- 28:14and observe you like you're someone else in that version of
- 28:19the future, but observe it from the perspective of the
- 28:25opportunity cost. What have you missed out on?
- 28:35Where could you have been? Notice the emotion that comes
- 28:41up. Is this future inspiring or
- 28:45feeling frustrating? Does it create a feeling of
- 28:51energy and intensity, or perhaps regret?
- 28:58And then take a deep breath in and step back from this
- 29:01timeline, knowing that you have the power to choose another
- 29:06path. So see that other part now, but
- 29:13this time it leads to a future where you have fully embraced
- 29:18your unique version of discipline and flow.
- 29:23The future where you take the action consistently, but not
- 29:27perfectly. This is a future of commitment
- 29:33and consistency, of incremental progress.
- 29:40The discipline is like a muscle, and in this future you train
- 29:43that muscle so it gets stronger. Breaking from inertia to
- 29:49momentum is also a muscle, and that muscle gets stronger.
- 29:54So notice the small daily actions that build momentum and
- 29:59the compounded rewards of your discipline.
- 30:04What happens when you access those flow states more
- 30:07frequently? If it feels like this future
- 30:12seems more appealing, let me know about nodding your head and
- 30:17then step into that version of yourself.
- 30:20Feel how good it feels to be in that flow state, to have that
- 30:25balance, to be doing more, having more, creating more,
- 30:30impacting more. Notice how it feels to embody
- 30:36this version of you, and maybe that sensation, that resource
- 30:42that was glowing in that colour with that sound is more common
- 30:48in this future than it was in the other.
- 30:52Which tells you everything you need to know that you will train
- 30:56this muscle because it takes your life in the direction that
- 31:00you desire. And while you're in that future,
- 31:07notice what you value most. Maybe you're in a dialogue is
- 31:14slightly different, different tonality.
- 31:19Feel how natural this new discipline and flow state has
- 31:22become. That other people can't fathom
- 31:27what you accomplish and achieve because they can't access the
- 31:32state that you access frequently.
- 31:38And since you're in the future, you get to look back at your
- 31:40current self and realise to get there.
- 31:46It wasn't about being perfect, it was about being consistent.
- 31:52It wasn't about waiting for motivation.
- 31:55It was about taking action and allowing the action to create
- 32:01the momentum. So take a deep breath and allow
- 32:07this future you to imprint deeply within your subconscious,
- 32:13knowing from this moment on, each day you are making gradual
- 32:19progress to become this version of yourself and then feel like
- 32:27you're returning back to that hammock.
- 32:31Feeling like your mind has taken you on a journey to the past,
- 32:34the present, and the future. Feel like you're able to leave
- 32:40that hammock and walk on that sandy beach?
- 32:43Feeling more resourceful, a sense of clarity with more
- 32:48discipline, more energy, more intention, and knowing your
- 32:56subconscious mind has clear coordinates for the future that
- 33:01you are navigating towards. It's time to leave this beach.
- 33:10So imagine taking a deep breath in through your nose and out
- 33:12through your nose and feel yourself being sucked back
- 33:18through ATV screen and back into the here and now.
- 33:28Very soon I will count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 33:31You will awaken with these resources knowing that like
- 33:35anything, it gets stronger and more powerful the more you train
- 33:41and use it. And those difficult things
- 33:44become an opportunity to train it.
- 33:49Starting to count to awaken you. 123 Waking up. 456 More alert
- 33:567-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes. 910 Wide awake,
- 34:01wide awake, wide awake. Thank you for listening to The
