- 0:55Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, Welcome back to another She rises episode. A
- 0:58Speaker 2: Monday episode. We've got a very juicy one today. I
- 1:00Speaker 2: feel like it's going to ruffle some feathers. It's a
- 1:02Speaker 2: little bit controversial, but that's what we do here. You
- 1:06Speaker 2: don't just tiptoe and dance around the subjects that people
- 1:08Speaker 2: are don't know.
- 1:09Speaker 3: And we'd love to talk about the things that nobody
- 1:10Speaker 3: else wants to touch.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yes, exactly, But before we get into that, what's your
- 1:14Speaker 2: share of the week?
- 1:14Speaker 3: My share of the week is actually a TV series
- 1:16Speaker 3: that I am so hooked into it at the moment.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It's called Outlander. Yes, there is about seven seasons to it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: It's about time travel, it's about Scotland.
- 1:25Speaker 1: It's incredible.
- 1:26Speaker 3: It's about this beautiful love story as well, and I'm
- 1:28Speaker 3: so invested in the characters.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Highly recommend, but it's a bit traumatic as well. Some
- 1:32Speaker 1: episodes you've told me, I'm like, there is, it's a
- 1:35Speaker 1: little bitch ry.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I honestly I have cried twice watching two separate episodes
- 1:38Speaker 3: over the last three seasons because it's just so emotionally intense.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Like if you're a sensitive girl like me, probably wouldn't
- 1:44Speaker 3: recommend those specific episodes, but the entire storyline is very
- 1:48Speaker 3: locked in and I honestly I want to watch it
- 1:50Speaker 3: like in my work breaks and stuff.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I'm so committed to it. Did love that with the
- 1:54Speaker 2: TV show I'm watching Fire country at the moment. Yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 2: what's that about? Just a fire station and all the
- 2:00Speaker 2: characters and the different fires they go put out. But
- 2:03Speaker 2: there's like a storyline that continues the three every season
- 2:05Speaker 2: about this family and what they go through. And there's
- 2:08Speaker 2: even like a bunch of young teens that are locked
- 2:11Speaker 2: up or if you're doing the wrong thing, And the
- 2:12Speaker 2: way they can do the jail time is by going
- 2:14Speaker 2: and putting flyers out, so they put them on a
- 2:16Speaker 2: specific lab and they can like earn their way out
- 2:19Speaker 2: of jail by serving their community.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh cool, so it's really cool. I really like it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah cool. My share of the.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Week is I saved this post. It's called we Think
- 2:27Speaker 2: Deeply is the Instagram page and it says fourteen sentences
- 2:30Speaker 2: that gave me goosebumps. The cold water does not get
- 2:33Speaker 2: warmer if you jump late. The version of you someone
- 2:36Speaker 2: created in their mind is not your responsibility to maintain.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I love that one.
- 2:40Speaker 2: If you're worried about the cost of going for it,
- 2:42Speaker 2: you should see the price of staying exactly where you are.
- 2:45Speaker 1: There is a future version.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Of you absolutely begging for you to enjoy where you're
- 2:49Speaker 2: aut right now. Sometimes the weight is longer because the
- 2:53Speaker 2: blessing is bigger. The only person coming to save you
- 2:55Speaker 2: is the version of yourself that's tired of your current situation.
- 2:59Speaker 2: If the path before you is clear, you're probably on
- 3:01Speaker 2: someone else's. When you reach the peak, you realize the
- 3:05Speaker 2: mountain wasn't the obstacle you were. Your ability to grow
- 3:08Speaker 2: is directly tied to how much truth you can handle
- 3:11Speaker 2: about yourself without trying.
- 3:12Speaker 1: To escape it. I love that.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It's such a fun thought that the person I end
- 3:16Speaker 2: up with is now living the things they'll tell me
- 3:18Speaker 2: about later.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's beautiful. So nice.
- 3:22Speaker 2: If the rain that touches your skin traveled miles to
- 3:25Speaker 2: find you, then so will everything else that's written in
- 3:27Speaker 2: your name. It's okay to be sad after making the
- 3:30Speaker 2: right decision. If you focus on the hurt, you'll continue
- 3:33Speaker 2: to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you'll continue
- 3:36Speaker 2: to grow. It's this simple. When something is right for you,
- 3:39Speaker 2: it will give you energy. That's how you know. Love
- 3:42Speaker 2: all those I love all of those we think deeply
- 3:45Speaker 2: is the Instagram page.
- 3:46Speaker 1: That's really cool.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like everyone someone will be able to
- 3:49Speaker 3: take something away from each of those. Yeah, relate it
- 3:51Speaker 3: to their own personal journey.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Definitely so beautiful. All right, where do we start.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Let's ruffle some feathers, shall we.
- 3:58Speaker 2: We want to talk about the health industry, especially like online.
- 4:03Speaker 2: A big one for me is people diagnosing other people online.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And I get this with my kids all the time.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Oh have you thought it? I think Taj has got this,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I think Tyler's got this. Have you got them tested
- 4:12Speaker 1: for this?
- 4:13Speaker 2: I'm like, you see split seconds, like maybe thirty seconds
- 4:17Speaker 2: of me interacting with my children, and now you're diagnosing
- 4:19Speaker 2: them with autism?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah? The audacity?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Wow, No, somebody say that all the time. Babe, adhd
- 4:25Speaker 2: autism on the spectrum?
- 4:27Speaker 1: Have you got them tested for this that?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'm like, No, you don't even know the child, Like
- 4:31Speaker 2: I'm with him twenty four seven and you're diagnosing overseeing
- 4:34Speaker 2: him for thirty seconds.
- 4:35Speaker 3: You know it's crazy too. It's not like you're sitting
- 4:36Speaker 3: there going, hey, can you diagnose my son? No?
- 4:38Speaker 2: I didn't Ben ask for your opinion on my son.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Like it's us sharing a funny moment together or something.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm listed. It's wild.
- 4:45Speaker 2: And then the other one for me that's really popped
- 4:47Speaker 2: up lately is us talking about peptides and I just
- 4:50Speaker 2: answered on a Q and A. And I know I've
- 4:51Speaker 2: spent over fifteen years, probably close to twenty years online
- 4:54Speaker 2: sharing my life.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm very very open.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Everyone knows that, and I feel like there's this expectation
- 4:59Speaker 2: for people with a public profile to be very open
- 5:01Speaker 2: and transparent, so I really try to do that. I've
- 5:04Speaker 2: shared pretty much everything that I've gone through, all my mistakes,
- 5:07Speaker 2: all my ups and downs, everyone's seen at all, and
- 5:10Speaker 2: that's really hard to share. But then I find nowadays
- 5:13Speaker 2: when you share something really openly and honestly, they also
- 5:16Speaker 2: get torn down for it. So it's like you're damned
- 5:18Speaker 2: if you do, and you're damned if you don't. And
- 5:20Speaker 2: for me right now talking about peptides, I answered it
- 5:22Speaker 2: on a Q and A because someone asked if I
- 5:24Speaker 2: use them. Yeah, I use them. I'm not a shame
- 5:26Speaker 2: that I use them. I've done my research. It's through
- 5:28Speaker 2: a doctor that all my blood's done. This woman has
- 5:31Speaker 2: gone online and done this big video and now other
- 5:33Speaker 2: people are jumping on it and using my name as
- 5:35Speaker 2: like the person that's like a bad role model and
- 5:37Speaker 2: shouldn't be recommending these because they're not legal and DA
- 5:40Speaker 2: data and there's no difference between peptides and party drugs.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my goodness.
- 5:45Speaker 2: But unfortunately, it's like, now I've just come to the
- 5:47Speaker 2: decision where i won't be speaking about it anymore. And
- 5:49Speaker 2: then there's another health situation which I'm not going to
- 5:51Speaker 2: even talk about, do you know about? But that really
- 5:54Speaker 2: impacted my life that I shared something online and then
- 5:57Speaker 2: something happened with the online world and it was a
- 6:00Speaker 2: really hard thing for me to navigate. And I'm like, Wow,
- 6:02Speaker 2: it sucks that there's a couple of people that want
- 6:03Speaker 2: to ruin it for everyone else, because now I'm going
- 6:06Speaker 2: to have boundaries as to what I do and don't
- 6:07Speaker 2: share online.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and I.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Still get messages from people asking about peptides, even even
- 6:11Speaker 2: this morning on the way up, and I'm like, I'm
- 6:13Speaker 2: so sorry, but after like my name being used in
- 6:15Speaker 2: other videos to get traction, I'm just not going to
- 6:17Speaker 2: talk about it anymore. They're like, oh my gosh, but
- 6:19Speaker 2: I really would love to learn more about it. I'm like, unfortunately,
- 6:21Speaker 2: they've ruined it, you know.
- 6:23Speaker 3: And they're going to just have to do their own
- 6:24Speaker 3: research now.
- 6:25Speaker 2: But this would be the same type of people that
- 6:26Speaker 2: if I wasn't honest about it. Oh, ash's not being
- 6:29Speaker 2: transparent and hiding something. You're hiding something, you're lying. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 2: you should be honest. You owe it to us to
- 6:34Speaker 2: be honest. You've got a public platform, you should be
- 6:36Speaker 2: talking about it. You've got a voice, like the same
- 6:38Speaker 2: people would complain if you weren't honest about it. It's
- 6:41Speaker 2: like it just drives me. That's like, no matter what
- 6:43Speaker 2: you do, it's going to be wrong in someone's eyes.
- 6:46Speaker 2: And you should never live your life trying to please everyone.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And that's why I spoke about it. But I'm also like,
- 6:50Speaker 2: at the cost of what if I'm getting videos made
- 6:52Speaker 2: about me and that's impacting my mental health because I
- 6:54Speaker 2: don't speak nicely about you.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I also have to go home and be a mum.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not going to let that my mental health
- 7:00Speaker 2: cause from someone else impact me going home to my children.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah. And also as well, you don't know any anything
- 7:05Speaker 3: to share anything online, even though you have done that
- 7:07Speaker 3: for a really long time.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You get to pick and choose what you do.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Talk about, and definitely people are going to spin it
- 7:12Speaker 3: and which people do. People online can be very committed
- 7:15Speaker 3: to misunderstanding or anyone that they see online and whilst
- 7:19Speaker 3: it's a good thing that people are open and free
- 7:21Speaker 3: and all the things, like people have a very strong
- 7:24Speaker 3: opinion when it comes to being online, they would not
- 7:26Speaker 3: say half the things that they do if they were
- 7:28Speaker 3: face to face with somebody that they were commenting on
- 7:30Speaker 3: their profile and saying it in front of their face
- 7:32Speaker 3: and not behind a profile that says like I don't
- 7:34Speaker 3: know Sharon's kiddies, exo this twenty seven point five.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Like, you know, it's ridiculous. It sucks because I really
- 7:42Speaker 2: appreciate when people are really honest. I like hearing about
- 7:45Speaker 2: people's plastic surgery journeys or their breakup that the lessons
- 7:48Speaker 2: they've learned, or the mistakes they made in business, or
- 7:52Speaker 2: the fucking peptides they use. I like hearing people's honest journey.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Like I follow people that are open, honest, relatable and
- 7:59Speaker 2: aren't just trying to paint themselves with this picture perfect person.
- 8:03Speaker 3: You want to hear their real, raw stories, just like
- 8:05Speaker 3: their real opinion. Yeah, I want to know what what
- 8:07Speaker 3: do you stand for, what do you believe? And what
- 8:09Speaker 3: have you tried, what's worked, what hasn't? Like I love
- 8:11Speaker 3: hearing that.
- 8:12Speaker 2: That's how I've always shown up, but now it's at
- 8:14Speaker 2: a point where I'm like, yeah, maybe.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Not, like is it worth it? Yeah for me, it's
- 8:18Speaker 1: not really worth it.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But it sucks because and now I really feel like
- 8:21Speaker 2: I have to more consciously think about what I put online.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And it's like the world's screaming for more honesty and authenticity.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But this is the reason why people aren't honest online
- 8:29Speaker 2: because they know they gonna get torn down for it. Like,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I really don't blame women, especially if you're not talking
- 8:33Speaker 2: about their plastic surgery journeys, because I'm like, you know,
- 8:36Speaker 2: you're going to cop a lot of hate for it.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah. The same with peptides.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Now, it's like, because you choose to inject a peptide, yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 2: you're painted this like bad role model.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yes, especially even with things when it comes to health
- 8:45Speaker 3: as well, like peptides, plastic surgery, because it's like if
- 8:48Speaker 3: you post about it, your vaccentations, yes, all of it.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's like such touchy subjects and people have such strong
- 8:54Speaker 3: opinions on each of those subjects. Yes, people are either
- 8:57Speaker 3: really for or really against, and there's no in between.
- 8:59Speaker 3: There's no black or white, there's no understanding, no, and
- 9:02Speaker 3: once again.
- 9:03Speaker 2: For me, I find that hard to understand because through
- 9:06Speaker 2: the Big C I had friends that got vaccinated and
- 9:09Speaker 2: I had friends that didn't get vaccinated.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Cool.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, do it feels good for you? Just tell you
- 9:13Speaker 2: what's right for your body and your belief system. I'm
- 9:16Speaker 2: not gonna not be friends with you because you do
- 9:18Speaker 2: or don't decide to get a vaccination. Same with friends
- 9:20Speaker 2: with kids. You get them done. Amazing, You don't cool.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Just don't tell me what to do. I won't tell
- 9:25Speaker 1: you what to do.
- 9:25Speaker 3: No way.
- 9:26Speaker 2: And it's just I will love and accept you for
- 9:28Speaker 2: whatever you choose to do with your life and your body,
- 9:31Speaker 2: even if I don't agree with it, doesn't I have
- 9:32Speaker 2: to do it, and doesn't mean I'm going to dislike
- 9:34Speaker 2: you or make a video about you and how shit
- 9:38Speaker 2: you are, Like, oh my god, buch of a bad
- 9:40Speaker 2: role model you are. Even in this video She's like,
- 9:42Speaker 2: it needs to stop that. I'm like, you know what
- 9:44Speaker 2: needs to stop women being nasty to other women? Exactly
- 9:47Speaker 2: what you're doing using my name to get attention. That's
- 9:49Speaker 2: what needs to stop. You don't want to take PEP times,
- 9:51Speaker 2: don't take them, babe. You don't have to.
- 9:53Speaker 1: But if I choose to you don't have to make
- 9:54Speaker 1: a video about it.
- 9:55Speaker 3: And it's funny too, because it's the same people who
- 9:57Speaker 3: would be looking at other people when they see other
- 9:59Speaker 3: women bully other women, be like, oh my god, that's
- 10:01Speaker 3: so bad, but then make videos like that.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and I come on double standard. Hey, yeah, yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's a lot. It is a lot.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that there are worse things in the
- 10:11Speaker 3: world than peptides, Like, come on, like, do not compare
- 10:15Speaker 3: peptides to party drugs.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's dumb.
- 10:18Speaker 3: So it's so it's a silly comparison to make because
- 10:21Speaker 3: it's just not the same.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I think people making these videos haven't actually studied and
- 10:25Speaker 2: research and toward it a peptide actually is and what
- 10:28Speaker 2: it can do for the body. This is not a
- 10:30Speaker 2: new thing. Yeah, it's been around for decades, very long time.
- 10:34Speaker 2: It's just trending on social media right now.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And you know what, I don't judge her for not
- 10:38Speaker 3: knowing and not understanding because I think naturally, when we
- 10:40Speaker 3: don't know something, we immediately judge, because that's like sometimes
- 10:43Speaker 3: our natural reaction, for sure. But also before you make
- 10:46Speaker 3: a video on social media like that and you slander
- 10:48Speaker 3: somebody's name, do some research exactly, think about what you're
- 10:51Speaker 3: saying before you put something out there, and like, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 3: especially when it comes to somebody else's reputation, I don't
- 10:56Speaker 3: think that's a fair thing. Yeah, especially around something that
- 10:58Speaker 3: is so big like health and yeah, I just think, yeah,
- 11:01Speaker 3: it's just it's not the same.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Have an opinion. Why did you put my name in there?
- 11:04Speaker 2: I really would love to know a whiting need to
- 11:06Speaker 2: put my name and that couldn't you just say influencers
- 11:07Speaker 2: too might have my name in there? Yeah, you know what,
- 11:09Speaker 2: it's going to get traction? Yeah, it's click baity. You're
- 11:11Speaker 2: literally using my name to get attention. Otherwise you wouldn't
- 11:14Speaker 2: need to feel the need to do that. You're okay,
- 11:16Speaker 2: You're going to bed at night knowing that you've tried
- 11:17Speaker 2: to like ruin my reputation or have people come at
- 11:20Speaker 2: me for it. Yeah, you know what it did though,
- 11:22Speaker 2: just it's flood of my inbox with more questions about it.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I'm like, there's so many people that are interested in it. Yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 2: but it had the opposite effect as to what she
- 11:29Speaker 2: obviously wanted.
- 11:30Speaker 3: But also how cool that people are looking at different
- 11:33Speaker 3: alternatives and things that are going to help their health
- 11:35Speaker 3: long time. I think that's a great thing.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I think she'd be swallowing her words in a couple
- 11:39Speaker 1: of years time.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Yeah, one hundred percent. Yeah, and it'll be a normalized thing.
- 11:42Speaker 3: And whilst it's quote unquote not FDA proved, you know
- 11:44Speaker 3: what else isn't supplements protein powder like don't come for me.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I know, and I just I just you just do
- 11:52Speaker 1: some research just case.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think everyone each to their own. It does
- 11:56Speaker 3: not concern anyone what anybody else is doing. So long
- 11:59Speaker 3: as it's not directly impacting you, go.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Live your life. Yes, go live your life.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And it's also like a whole o Zen peak Munjaro
- 12:07Speaker 2: and retitude tied pep tide. It's so easy for people
- 12:10Speaker 2: to have opinions are like, oh, people inject themselves to
- 12:12Speaker 2: lose weight, Like, you don't know what their health is.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You don't know what they're going through, you don't know
- 12:15Speaker 2: what they've tried. Yeah, you don't know their mental state,
- 12:18Speaker 2: you don't know if their health is at risk for
- 12:20Speaker 2: other things, like you can't make a judgment. And it's
- 12:23Speaker 2: easy for someone that's not overweight to just sit on
- 12:24Speaker 2: their high horse and say, oh, they shouldn't be doing that.
- 12:27Speaker 2: You know nothing about their background, so just let them be.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It's not your body, it's not your responsibility. You don't
- 12:34Speaker 2: have to have an opinion on what they do. Yes,
- 12:36Speaker 2: love and accept they're doing what they want to do. Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 2: that's their journey to go on. That's so journey to
- 12:40Speaker 2: discover if it works, not, if it feels good for them.
- 12:42Speaker 3: And even if somebody does decide to do something with
- 12:44Speaker 3: their body, it doesn't.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Concern you exactly.
- 12:47Speaker 3: And also it's okay if you disagree with what they're doing,
- 12:50Speaker 3: but you don't need to voice it.
- 12:51Speaker 1: No, exactly not.
- 12:52Speaker 3: There are so many other things in the world to
- 12:54Speaker 3: worry about in.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Your own life, your own kids, that your own health,
- 12:59Speaker 2: maybe your partner friends.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I think it's good that people are looking outside of
- 13:04Speaker 1: the box.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Yeah, because, like, if we're completely honest, there's a lot
- 13:08Speaker 3: of bullshit and a lot of noise when it comes
- 13:10Speaker 3: to the quote unquote health industry around the things that
- 13:14Speaker 3: people are taking without actually knowing what they're actually taking.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Like look at how many people and don't get me wrong,
- 13:19Speaker 3: there's a time and a place for Western medicine and
- 13:22Speaker 3: take this how you will twist it if you will.
- 13:24Speaker 3: But there's a lot of shit out there that actually
- 13:26Speaker 3: causes more harm than it does good. Like I spent
- 13:29Speaker 3: years taking antibiotics and things because I was trying to
- 13:33Speaker 3: put a band aid solution on deeper problems in my
- 13:35Speaker 3: gut my stomach and also getting infections and things like
- 13:37Speaker 3: that when I was younger, and it destroyed my gut,
- 13:40Speaker 3: destroyed my.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Gut, you knowing the price.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'm still paying the price, Like I still have to
- 13:45Speaker 3: go get gut cleanses and do gut protocols and can't
- 13:48Speaker 3: have gluten now, Like my stomach is so sensitive now
- 13:50Speaker 3: because of all the things that I would take and
- 13:52Speaker 3: that I would do, just was prescribed for no good reason.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Hey try this, Just try this, and if this doesn't work,
- 13:57Speaker 3: come back and you can have this one. And I'm like,
- 13:59Speaker 3: this is not a candy store. Stop treating it like
- 14:02Speaker 3: this is a vending machine full of lollies where people
- 14:05Speaker 3: are popping antibiotics and hills and drugs and all these
- 14:08Speaker 3: things and taking anxiety medication, ADHD medication, all of this stuff.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And again, like I said, there's a time and a
- 14:14Speaker 3: place for everything, and also a lot of it is
- 14:17Speaker 3: not necessary, like eighty percent of it is not necessary,
- 14:20Speaker 3: and all of it causes backlash and has multitude of
- 14:23Speaker 3: side effects. And then people are coming in and saying
- 14:26Speaker 3: that peptides are like taking party drugs. It's not in
- 14:29Speaker 3: the same category. It's not in the same comparison. I'm like,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and everybody is worried about peptides, but nobody is looking
- 14:34Speaker 3: at antibiotics literally, and all of the things that are
- 14:37Speaker 3: quote unquote FFDA proved but literally cause cancers and issues
- 14:41Speaker 3: and flow and effective problems in the body. I'm like,
- 14:44Speaker 3: riddle me that, yeah, make it make sense.
- 14:49Speaker 2: It's the same with some Once again, I would never
- 14:51Speaker 2: mention names, and this is a long time ago, but
- 14:53Speaker 2: I know it's come up in conversations and groups too,
- 14:56Speaker 2: Like certain health people online that are teaching about health
- 14:59Speaker 2: and gut health, but then they're on the bag on
- 15:00Speaker 2: the weekend, oh, or just getting sloshed every single weekend
- 15:03Speaker 2: and like go, go, you live your life or whatever.
- 15:06Speaker 2: When you're teaching people to how to be healthy and
- 15:08Speaker 2: take care of their gut and take care of their
- 15:09Speaker 2: nervous system, and they're riddle with anxiety, but then you're
- 15:13Speaker 2: on the weekend doing that being that kind of example,
- 15:15Speaker 2: it's just I don't know, it just doesn't sit well. No, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 2: it doesn't make sense.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I feel like there are a lot of people that
- 15:20Speaker 3: I've heard of who do that, like the fitness in
- 15:23Speaker 3: a lot of industries. It's not just a fitness industry,
- 15:25Speaker 3: and a lot of industries where they do that, where
- 15:27Speaker 3: they promote health and a healthy diet and healthy clean
- 15:29Speaker 3: eating and all these things. But then literally are going
- 15:31Speaker 3: and getting shit faced taking all the different drugs.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Oh, it just it doesn't matter us, No, it doesn't.
- 15:37Speaker 3: No.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So yes, it's a very controversial topic. But I think,
- 15:42Speaker 2: like I said, I think people can have their opinions.
- 15:43Speaker 2: You just don't need to drag people's names through the mud,
- 15:45Speaker 2: or to attempt to drag their name through the mud
- 15:48Speaker 2: and do a little bit more research.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Befoor, you have that strong of opinion.
- 15:51Speaker 3: And also as well, like anybody who disagrees with my
- 15:53Speaker 3: opinion on the health stuff and the things that you know,
- 15:55Speaker 3: antibiotics and all that sort of stuff Western medicine, you
- 15:58Speaker 3: could probably think the same thing about me, But me
- 16:00Speaker 3: having my opinion doesn't take away from what you believe,
- 16:02Speaker 3: and it doesn't directly impact you either.
- 16:04Speaker 1: If you don't.
- 16:04Speaker 3: If you don't agree, it's totally fine if you don't agree, Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 3: you're allowed to have that opinion. But I'm also not
- 16:09Speaker 3: going to sit here and tell you what to do.
- 16:11Speaker 3: This is what I personally believe. And if you are
- 16:13Speaker 3: a nurse or you're a doctor who've got a family
- 16:15Speaker 3: line of people who are really for Western medicine, that's great,
- 16:19Speaker 3: but it's also not what I personally believe. Like I
- 16:22Speaker 3: would rather even something as little as like panador I
- 16:25Speaker 3: can't remember, it's been probably seven years since I've taken panadole,
- 16:28Speaker 3: and I don't want to. I don't want to because
- 16:30Speaker 3: why would I take something that will literally damage my
- 16:32Speaker 3: gut when it's so sensitive already, when I can use
- 16:34Speaker 3: peppermine oil or use essentral oils and things that actually
- 16:37Speaker 3: work that are natural remedies, Like, why would I do
- 16:40Speaker 3: that to my body if there are other alternatives so good?
- 16:42Speaker 1: It makes no sense.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think there's been more education around around
- 16:47Speaker 2: it all. And I don't take my kids the doctors
- 16:49Speaker 2: often either, because it's like the moment something's wrong, it's like, oh,
- 16:52Speaker 2: it could be this, let's just pop them on antibotics
- 16:54Speaker 2: and see how they go. I'm like, when you're guessing,
- 16:57Speaker 2: you're going to give them antibiotics to hope that it
- 16:59Speaker 2: goes away, and I'm going to damage their gut and
- 17:01Speaker 2: then it could still be there. Like unless you are
- 17:03Speaker 2: one hundred percent certain and I don't think there's any
- 17:06Speaker 2: other options, then I think there's a time place for
- 17:08Speaker 2: them for sure. But I will explore everything else before
- 17:11Speaker 2: going down that route.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so scary. There's the same with like getting
- 17:15Speaker 1: bloods from a doctor, right.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Recently had to go to the doctor and just have
- 17:18Speaker 2: her all over, check over, and he's like, let's get
- 17:21Speaker 2: your blood's done. And when I get my bloods done
- 17:22Speaker 2: and then I get a text message it was like,
- 17:24Speaker 2: all your bloods.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Are normal, no need to come back. I was like,
- 17:28Speaker 1: absolutely not.
- 17:29Speaker 2: You ask for my natural path if they're normal, and
- 17:31Speaker 2: I'm about to get more blood done again. But I
- 17:32Speaker 2: can feel when things are off, whether it's like three
- 17:34Speaker 2: hormones or deficiencies or whatever, and a natures will literally go.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Through it in so much more detail. Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 2: But if I just went to the doctor and this
- 17:40Speaker 2: and all everything's normal, Like it's all good, but I've
- 17:42Speaker 2: got symptoms over here.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah, or do I just put up with them? You
- 17:45Speaker 3: live with them like usual. Markers are fine, so you
- 17:47Speaker 3: should be fine.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you're in normal range. What does that mean? Like,
- 17:52Speaker 1: tell me more more.
- 17:54Speaker 3: I think I like the point that you touched on
- 17:56Speaker 3: of like it's more of an understanding thing.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I like that you pointed that out, because even when
- 17:59Speaker 3: I was taking antibiotics, like, I had no idea.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I was crash eighteen.
- 18:05Speaker 3: But like any girlies who used to get frequent UTIs
- 18:08Speaker 3: or issues or infections and stuff from having sex, you
- 18:11Speaker 3: will know what that feels like. And you're probably still
- 18:14Speaker 3: dealing with it now. When I was fresh eighteen, I
- 18:16Speaker 3: had a partner that I was with for three and
- 18:17Speaker 3: a half years, and I got infections with him all
- 18:19Speaker 3: the time. I'm talking like every six weeks. I was
- 18:22Speaker 3: on antibiotics and I did that for like a good
- 18:25Speaker 3: portion of our relationship, and it just it ruined my body.
- 18:29Speaker 3: And it's like I didn't have awareness then because like
- 18:32Speaker 3: my mom, you know, she didn't know, she didn't understand.
- 18:35Speaker 3: She obviously didn't have those issues either. So yeah, the
- 18:38Speaker 3: lack of understanding the lack of knowledge, and yeah, the
- 18:41Speaker 3: damage that can be done when you don't understand what
- 18:43Speaker 3: it is that you're doing and putting into your body
- 18:44Speaker 3: can have like a lasting effect, like like what you
- 18:47Speaker 3: said before, Like I'm still dealing with the repercussions of
- 18:49Speaker 3: that now and still having to make sure that i
- 18:51Speaker 3: take care of my body in a way where I'm
- 18:53Speaker 3: not aggravating that, or you know, have to be extra
- 18:56Speaker 3: cautious about what I do and products that I use
- 18:59Speaker 3: and what sense I use, and no smells and no
- 19:01Speaker 3: fragrance and stuff like that on my body because I'm
- 19:03Speaker 3: super sensitive. It's worth being mindful of what you're putting
- 19:08Speaker 3: into your body, even if it comes from a doctor.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I remember asking a doctor when you wanted to put
- 19:12Speaker 2: targe on intiotics or something, and I asked him if
- 19:15Speaker 2: he could explain the.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Side effects of going antiotics.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It's like, oh, you're fine, just don't do it every
- 19:19Speaker 2: now and again, I'm not asking if he's fine and
- 19:21Speaker 2: mask just let me know, Like what are the side effects,
- 19:23Speaker 2: what does it do to the guard, what does it
- 19:25Speaker 2: do to his health?
- 19:25Speaker 1: What can it do to anything?
- 19:27Speaker 2: He's like, oh no, no, you don't have to worry
- 19:29Speaker 2: about that, And he wouldn't even explain to him, like
- 19:30Speaker 2: I wonder if he even understands, wow, what it can
- 19:33Speaker 2: do to your gut health so much a longing Yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 2: because he just does it all day every day.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I was like, okay, thank you.
- 19:40Speaker 3: It's really dependent on the doctor too, hey.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah for sure, Like this isn't shitting on doctors.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Doctors out there and I've had brain surgery, Like I'm
- 19:49Speaker 2: all for western westernized medicine and surgeries, and.
- 19:52Speaker 1: There is time and place for it, for sure. But
- 19:53Speaker 1: every day, if there's.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Just like symptoms that you're going to your doctor constantly
- 19:56Speaker 2: for like, it's just it's just asking are there other
- 19:58Speaker 2: options that might be more beneficial for my body short
- 20:01Speaker 2: term and long term? Yeah, because if you are taking
- 20:03Speaker 2: antiotics long term, it's going to have an impact on
- 20:04Speaker 2: your health, which impacts skin, hormones, sleep, moods, sex, literally
- 20:10Speaker 2: everything everything.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Interesting topic.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'd love to hear from other people though.
- 20:15Speaker 2: If you're watching this on Instagram or you're listening, like,
- 20:17Speaker 2: send us a DM what experience you guys have had
- 20:19Speaker 2: or your opinions on it. I love having these discussions
- 20:22Speaker 2: to see what other people think as well.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I think it's a topic that people have very strong
- 20:25Speaker 3: opinions on as well, like and that's so fine. I
- 20:28Speaker 3: have a strong opinion on it as well. I'm definitely
- 20:30Speaker 3: one of those people. And it can also be one
- 20:32Speaker 3: of those controversial topics where it kind of hits people
- 20:35Speaker 3: in the right way the wrong way. And it'd be
- 20:36Speaker 3: interesting to see the variety of response from.
- 20:39Speaker 2: This episode, definitely, and what triggers come up. Yeah, personally
- 20:43Speaker 2: based upon someone's experience, which I can understand if I
- 20:46Speaker 2: have compassion for as well.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Yeah, well even mine. Mine is based on my experience. Yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 3: that's why I feel so strongly about it. But if
- 20:51Speaker 3: I hadn't had that experience, would I feel so strongly?
- 20:54Speaker 3: Probably not, Yeah, depending on how it's raised and what
- 20:57Speaker 3: I believe in personal values and all of those things.
- 20:59Speaker 3: For sure.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It's called when you meet a doctor that's just open
- 21:02Speaker 2: minded and it's not like so black or white. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: but they can explain things, give you different options, see
- 21:07Speaker 2: what feels good for you, tell you the side effects.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I don't know, there is some really good doctors that
- 21:12Speaker 2: can give both options, and I think it's just.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Rare and harder to find.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I do like it when I find a
- 21:18Speaker 3: little bit more of like a holistic doctor. Yes, it
- 21:20Speaker 3: was like they obviously understand and believe in science in
- 21:23Speaker 3: the Western medicine world, but then they're also like, oh
- 21:26Speaker 3: what about this approach.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Oh let's explore your blood's on a deeper level. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: to actually get data. Yeah, not just sit in the
- 21:32Speaker 1: normal range.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Alrighty guys, thanks for joining us. Talk to you soon.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Bye.
