- 0:00Hegg's breath is still flaccid in the polls,
- 0:02but it didn't stop him from monitoring other
- 0:04men's erections. Trump bans CNN, while one female
- 0:08reporter did the unthinkable, refused to smile.
- 0:15That's right, Heggers is going to be checking
- 0:16the troops for morning erections. In a special,
- 0:19fragile masculinity edition of Breaking Absurdity,
- 0:22we've got Trump's disdain for women who actually
- 0:24challenge him. whatever this is, and Cash Patel
- 0:28adds a new meaning to the term companion animal.
- 0:31It's breaking absurdity, everything you didn't
- 0:32know you needed to know today, but wish you had
- 0:35it. Ads help keep the lights on here at It's

- 0:46is in the show notes. Now let's get into the
- 0:49absurdity. So a Republican lawmaker just forced
- 0:52a vote in the House of Representatives on the
- 0:54impeachment of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
- 0:57So how did we get here? I mean, this is one of
- 1:00Donald Trump's signature appointments. He always
- 1:03said Pete Hegseth was from central casting. It
- 1:06comes down to the Iran war. Thomas Massey, Republican
- 1:08lawmaker, actually brought the articles of impeachment
- 1:11and he did it in secret. He told CNN why Pete
- 1:14Hegseth should be impeached. This is a hot war.
- 1:17This could become a nuclear war. And in the interim,
- 1:20even if it doesn't, there are civilian casualties
- 1:23that are racking up greater than they would have
- 1:26otherwise, because another one of my articles
- 1:28of impeachment shows that Peter Hegseth has degraded
- 1:33the ability of the DOD to minimize civilian casualties.
- 1:38He asked Congress to repeal a law that requires
- 1:41him to minimize civilian casualties. Congress
- 1:44didn't do it, so he went ahead and did it on
- 1:46his own within the DOD. And the results were
- 1:48predictable. That's why 200 school kids were
- 1:52killed in the first attack on Iran. Massey is
- 1:54talking about that school in Manab, Iran, where
- 1:57120 children were killed. And the U .S. has not
- 2:00taken responsibility for it, yet military investigators
- 2:03think it probably was the U .S. military that
- 2:06did it. And it's not just Congress that has problems
- 2:08with Hegseth. Apparently, it's also the American
- 2:10people. Harry Inton on CNN did not mince words.
- 2:13Who hates Hegseth and basically everyone if you're
- 2:17in the American public? No wonder. No wonder
- 2:19the speaker sent everybody home, because just
- 2:21take a look here. Okay. Excess net approval,
- 2:24you know, back before the Iran war started back
- 2:26in January of 2026, right? It was minus nine
- 2:29points. You think that's low? Look at this. He's
- 2:31more than twice as unpopular, nearly three times
- 2:34as unpopular now in his net approval rating,
- 2:36minus 25 points. How about among independents?
- 2:39You think that minus nine is low? How about minus
- 2:4120 before the war started? You think that minus
- 2:4320 is low? How about minus 43 points among independents
- 2:48now? No wonder, no wonder, no wonder Speaker
- 2:51Johnson did not So you've got Republican lawmakers
- 3:06bringing articles of impeachment in the cloak
- 3:09of darkness. And then you've also got the American
- 3:11people who actually don't have any faith in what
- 3:14he's doing. And as Harry Inton said, they're
- 3:17not actually going to hold this vote. That's
- 3:19because Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House,
- 3:22sent everybody home. That's right. Instead of
- 3:25voting on the impeachment proceedings, they're
- 3:27all going to go on a two -month holiday. And
- 3:29they're not going to vote on this until after
- 3:30the midterm election. So Mike Johnson thought,
- 3:33amidst a historically unpopular Secretary of
- 3:35War, members of Congress that want to impeach
- 3:38him, the only logical thing to do was hold off
- 3:41on this vote for another two months. So actually,
- 3:45Congress went limp and delayed the vote. You're
- 3:48gonna get that joke in a couple of minutes, so
- 3:50hang with me. It's not really a voting strategy
- 3:52as much as it is delaying the inevitable. And
- 3:55here's where things take a really absurd turn.
- 3:58Just after we found out about these articles
- 4:00of impeachment, Pete Hegseth testosterone rules
- 4:03came out. We got to look at them specifically,
- 4:06and there's some really interesting things in
- 4:08there. Essentially, the military doctors are
- 4:12going to start tracking certain symptoms, including
- 4:15erectile dysfunction, reduced sexual desire,
- 4:18unexplained loss of muscle, among other things,
- 4:21but there's one that really stood out to the
- 4:23folks on the internet, namely loss of morning
- 4:25erections. That's right, friends, Pete Hegseth
- 4:28is really concerned that when military servicemen
- 4:30wake up, that their tents must be fully pitched.
- 4:34And if they're not, our secretary of war wants
- 4:37to know about it. I think we've hit peak absurdity
- 4:40folks, but here's the real question. Given how
- 4:43unpopular he is, given how congress wants to
- 4:45impeach him, And now I think you get the impotence
- 4:48joke because Congress has really gone limp under
- 4:51Mike Johnson's leadership. Given how he's basically
- 4:53just a complete clown on the internet, why does
- 4:56he think that this is the thing that's going
- 4:58to save him? Does he honestly think that a testosterone
- 5:01boost is going to somehow broker diplomatic peace
- 5:05and Iran in the war, reduce gas prices, and suddenly
- 5:09make people take him seriously? We don't know
- 5:12people, but what we do know is that Donald Trump
- 5:15really likes the way Pete looks on TV. And we
- 5:19know from Trump's repeated comments that that's
- 5:21really one of the reasons why he was appointed.
- 5:24Although I don't know if Trump saw this video
- 5:26before the appointment was made. Ew. That's nasty,
- 5:33Pete. You just wiped your nose and wiped it into
- 5:35your hair. That was definitely not a from central
- 5:39casting moment as Trump always says and neither
- 5:42was this one I'm not sure if that's meant to
- 5:45be an exercise or rejected ballet audition Moving
- 5:50on to the next fragile ego in the Trump ecosystem
- 5:54is actually Trump himself Because Trump just
- 5:57announced that CNN Politico and MSNOW are no
- 6:01longer welcome back in the White House And immediately
- 6:03thereafter, reporters were in the Oval Office
- 6:05asking him if this was actually constitutional.
- 6:08Earlier today, you posted that you intend to
- 6:11ban CNN, Politico, and MSNOW from the White House.
- 6:15Every president takes an oath to uphold the Constitution,
- 6:19which includes the First Amendment. I do too.
- 6:21Much more so than you. Because they're fake news.
- 6:27You get so tired of reading and seeing fake news.
- 6:31When you look at CNN, it's just fake. That's
- 6:35why their ratings are no good. When you look
- 6:37at MSNOW, which used to be MSNBC, which some
- 6:42people called MSDNC, Democratic National Committee.
- 6:46But our country has to have honest news. And
- 6:48you know what you need? You need a free press.
- 6:51You need a fair press and an honest business.
- 6:54A very dramatic decision from a very dramatic
- 6:57president simply banning news outlets for what
- 7:01he perceives as negative reporting. Well, it's
- 7:05not lost on me that there's a certain reporter
- 7:07from one of those news outlets that really got
- 7:10under Trump's skin. It was a female reporter,
- 7:13a female reporter who didn't do something Trump
- 7:16specifically asked her to do repeatedly. That's
- 7:19right. I'm talking about CNN's one and only Caitlin
- 7:22Collins. Here's a famous clip of when Trump lashed
- 7:26out at Caitlin for not doing that one thing that
- 7:28he specifically asked. CNN's a very corrupt organization,
- 7:34but with a corrupt reporter standing right there,
- 7:36never smiles. You never see a young, beautiful
- 7:39woman, never smiles. I never see a smile off
- 7:42her face. I see her standing there with hatred
- 7:44in her eyes, like she has hatred because we have
- 7:47borders. And I'm sure you've put two and two
- 7:49together by now. Trump didn't like that Kaitlyn
- 7:52Collins never smiled. And this situation has
- 7:55happened multiple times. So a female reporter
- 7:57can't go into the Oval Office without a smile
- 8:00on her face. And that says more about President
- 8:03Trump than it does about Kaitlyn Collins because
- 8:06Kaitlyn Collins was just doing her job and asking
- 8:09him questions about Epstein and other serious
- 8:12topics that if she were to smile while asking
- 8:14them would be a bit creepy and awkward. So No
- 8:17wonder Caitlin goes in there and just does her
- 8:20job. She's the one actually having to ask Trump
- 8:22seriously awkward questions. Trump's probably
- 8:24getting confused because he turns to one side
- 8:27and he has Natalie Harp literally doing whatever
- 8:29he wants her to do with a huge bunny boiler smile
- 8:33on her face to Caitlin Collins, who is not smiling,
- 8:36asking him serious questions and demanding accountability.
- 8:40Of course, I'm not trying to rationalize, but
- 8:42I am just trying to understand what's going through
- 8:44that increasingly confused head of his. And speaking
- 8:48of confused, I'm just going to leave this clip
- 8:50here because I don't know what to make of it.
- 8:52Although listen to what Trump says right about
- 8:55here. Okay, look at the hands. Yeah, that was
- 9:01Trump in his gold adorned Oval Office talking
- 9:05about somebody's hands. We don't know if they're
- 9:07his hands or somebody else's hands. But I just
- 9:10thought that was worth noting given the focus
- 9:12of today's episode and also Trump's notoriously
- 9:16massive focus on his very questionably small
- 9:20-sized hands. Speaking of other humans with small
- 9:23features, Cash Patel got into a very bizarre
- 9:26back and forth with a certain Kennedy on a topic
- 9:29I haven't heard discussed since Clarence Thomas's
- 9:31congressional hearing. I'm just gonna let the
- 9:34clip do the work on this one. What about the
- 9:37bestiality? Same thing, because the regs wrote
- 9:42it up in a fashion before I arrived that addressed
- 9:44prostitution, bestiality, and trafficking. That's
- 9:47right, friends. You heard correctly. This hearing
- 9:49went there. And there was some massive confusion
- 9:52about what role everyone was playing in this
- 9:55bizarre scenario. Tell me what it said before.
- 9:59It automatically disqualified any individual
- 10:02who participated on either side of it. Obviously
- 10:05we are never going to hire the criminal side
- 10:07of what the bestiality. Yes, so you disqualified
- 10:10the animal Well, I don't think we have great
- 10:15canines, but we're not gonna disqualify I understand
- 10:17so we're not gonna punish who was on either side
- 10:21of it I just have a question cash. Which side
- 10:24of it are you on? I'm trying to understand why
- 10:28you did this have you this is not directed at
- 10:31you, mr. Director And I understand the game.
- 10:36People try to make you look bad. Well, that's
- 10:38not very hard to do. We do the same thing when
- 10:41the other party's in office. And all this stuff
- 10:44has really hurt the FBI. Your political point
- 10:48of view matters. Why would you even get into
- 10:50bestiality? Honestly, it's a really good question
- 10:53and one that I don't think anyone could see coming
- 10:56today. We are not into bestiality, but a lot
- 10:58of these individuals. I know you're not but you
- 11:01changed. But I'm trying to explain it. Hang on.
- 11:04You changed the qualifications and mentioned
- 11:06bestiality. If Joe participated in bestiality,
- 11:12not as the animal but as the human, don't you
- 11:17think he ought to be qualified, disqualified?
- 11:19if he voluntarily did it sure but if he was trafficked
- 11:22into it okay how do you involuntarily do how
- 11:25you involuntarily participate in that situation
- 11:27is probably something that none of us had considered
- 11:30today but when the internet heard the focus of
- 11:33that hearing i think a lot of people had another
- 11:35thing they needed to say about cash patel because
- 11:39a meme appeared on the internet of cash and his
- 11:41famously white eyes next to a sheep in a wedding
- 11:44gown holding a bouquet of flowers. And just like
- 11:47that, Cash is given a new definition to the term
- 11:50companion animal. May they live happily ever
- 11:53after, and we do send our regrets to Alexis.
- 11:56Because if this is true, Cash isn't going to
- 11:58be flying around the country to see Alexis sing.
- 12:01No, he's going to be going to a farm to help
- 12:03shear some wool. Thanks for watching Breaking
- 12:06Absurdity. And remember, don't stare into the
- 12:09abyss alone. Let's do it together. Like, subscribe,
