- 0:01Continuation of the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke At that
- 0:06time the publicans and sinners drew near unto Jesus to hear
- 0:10him, And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This
- 0:16man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
- 0:19And he spoke to them this parable, saying, What man is
- 0:23there of you that hath 100 sheep?
- 0:27And if he shall lose one of them, doth he not leave the 99
- 0:31in the desert, and go after that which was lost, until he find
- 0:35it? And when he hath found it, lay
- 0:38it upon his shoulders, rejoicing, and coming home, call
- 0:43together his friends and neighbors, saying to them,
- 0:47Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.
- 0:51I say to you, that Even so there shall be joy in heaven upon one
- 0:56Sinner, that doth penance more than upon 99.
- 1:00Just who need not penance. Or what woman having 10 groats,
- 1:06if she lose 1 groat, does not light a candle and sweep the
- 1:10house, and seek diligently until she find it, And when she hath
- 1:15found it, call together her friends and neighbors, saying,
- 1:18Rejoice with me, because I have found the groat which I had
- 1:21lost. So I say to you, there shall be
- 1:25joy before the angels of God upon one Sinner doing penance.
