- 0:12Hello Melissa Crook here at your host here at the Field Podcast.
- 0:17Happy New Year. Welcome to 2026.
- 0:21Along with the new year, we've got some new ways that we are
- 0:25going to be delivering our field podcast to you this year and
- 0:29that starts with today. Every Tuesday you're going to
- 0:33hear from me. I'm going to do a quick 10 to 15
- 0:37minute session with you. It's going to introduce you to
- 0:41the different ways you can engage the feel framework in
- 0:46your life personally. And the idea is to give you some
- 0:49quick hitters as you're driving to work, dropping the kids off,
- 0:53doing your workout on your morning walk, or just sitting
- 0:55quietly with your coffee. And then if you hear something
- 0:59in there that really strikes a chord with you, you can go to
- 1:03embracinglayers.com and fill out our contact.
- 1:06And that link is in our show notes and on our resources page
- 1:10on the website. And you can do a quick 15 to 30
- 1:15minutes free session with me and talk about more of what are the
- 1:19processes to work with me directly on that.
- 1:24And I thought this was a good way to either just give you some
- 1:27ways to start your week. It's a Tuesday morning, your one
- 1:31day in and, and and give you some content in a little
- 1:34different way. See what it's like to to work
- 1:39directly with me or see what it's like just to get those
- 1:41quick hit hints, reminders that you need to help you live out
- 1:45feel, finding empowerment, embracing layers and they each
- 1:49Thursday. We'll continue to bring you 2
- 1:50episodes a week. Each Thursday.
- 1:52It'll be what you've been used to with us.
- 1:54I've got a guest with me and I walk them through the feel
- 1:59framework, the talking points. And so those will be with you
- 2:03every Thursday in the traditional way.
- 2:05You're hearing from me, but you're going to start hearing
- 2:07from just me on Tuesdays with these little quick Nuggets for
- 2:10you that I hope we're going to be really encouraging and
- 2:12supportive for you and the women in your life.
- 2:16To start out today, we're going to be talking about the Feel
- 2:22Reset. And for those, maybe this is
- 2:25your first time with us. Feel is our acronym here,
- 2:28Finding Empowerment, Embracing Layers.
- 2:31And when you hear me talking about the framework and talking
- 2:34points, those are the key questions and talking points
- 2:39that I asked our guests, that I asked women that I'm working
- 2:42with one-on-one that I deliver when I'm doing a keynote or a
- 2:47workshop that I share via our online course.
- 2:52And if these are the key questions that have really
- 2:55helped me as I really hit my own reset in the fall of 2019.
- 3:03And this is really the framework that came out of that journey
- 3:09and that I started sharing via the podcast in 2021 and have now
- 3:14branched out. And I'm sharing it in a variety
- 3:16of ways. Like I said earlier, whether
- 3:19it's speaking in workshops, it has a keynote, whether it is
- 3:24utilizing panels either online or in person to have these
- 3:29conversations. Whether it is working with you
- 3:32one-on-one to be your encourager and help you seek and find
- 3:37what's already inside you to help you do this or whether it's
- 3:42via our online course or book where you can really navigate it
- 3:46through on your own or I really encourage with a group of women.
- 3:50So we're going to break down these different ways you can
- 3:53utilize this. And today, the fuel recess felt
- 3:57like a great place to start. It's the new year.
- 4:00It's the time that we're really thinking about how do I want to
- 4:05live in this new year? How do I want to feel in this
- 4:10new year? And so with the field reset,
- 4:14this is really for women who are feeling disconnected, burned
- 4:19out, or like you've lost yourselves and your roles and
- 4:23responsibilities. We all have so many roles and
- 4:26responsibilities. And so that's where it's really
- 4:29a good time to step back and start asking yourself, going
- 4:33back to my field framework, those key questions, what am I
- 4:37doing for myself care? Is it a deeper level at getting
- 4:42to my soul? Is it not just the physical
- 4:45movement or the the spa or the bath or the nail stem, but am I
- 4:50really feeling my soul with activities that nourish me?
- 4:56Have I thought about how I want to feel the next six months or
- 4:59what I'm doing to contribute to that?
- 5:02Have I thought about how I would describe myself lately?
- 5:06Or do I only describe myself by my titles and roles and
- 5:10responsibilities? I want you to get back to who
- 5:13you are, not what you do, because that is where the
- 5:18stability lies. That is where the foundation
- 5:21lies. Because your roles and
- 5:23responsibilities are going to change as you go through
- 5:27different seasons in life, but who you are and who you believe
- 5:32yourself to be and the way you feel about yourself, that's the
- 5:36foundation that you operate from.
- 5:39And we need to have that stable and in place and be connected
- 5:44with that. So when we navigate these
- 5:46different work titles, expectations, responsibilities,
- 5:51we have a grounded place to operate from.
- 5:55We're not living for others. We're living for ourselves
- 5:59healthily so that we can fill that cup and give well to others
- 6:04from a fully resourced cup based on who we are aligned with, who
- 6:09we are. So what this really helps you do
- 6:12when you do this field reset, we help.
- 6:16I help you reconnect. And when we help because we work
- 6:19together, this is all inside you already.
- 6:21I'm going to help you and guide you reconnect to your layered
- 6:25identity, all the pieces and parts that make up who you are,
- 6:30beyond your titles, beyond your goals, beyond your
- 6:34responsibilities, beyond your To Do List and other people's
- 6:38expectations of you. We're going to help you get in
- 6:40alignment with what what are my expectations?
- 6:43What are my values? What are my why?
- 6:46And based on that, going back to those activities that nourish me
- 6:51and the way I want to feel the next six months and how I would
- 6:54describe myself and my living out of that.
- 6:58And if I'm not, what can I do to get back to that?
- 7:01Where do I need to start saying no in my calendar?
- 7:05Where do I need to so I can create a yeses for myself and
- 7:10the ones I love and the things I value and the people I care
- 7:14about? Those are where those healthy
- 7:16boundaries come in and and boundaries aren't walls.
- 7:19They're actually creating freedom for you and
- 7:22communicating to people what you want out of your life, what you
- 7:27hope for, which you expect, how you want to live, how you want
- 7:32to feel, how you want to show up for others, how you want them to
- 7:36remember you. And so that really also in doing
- 7:41this, I invite you to get back to really listening to your
- 7:45body, paying attention to those cues that she's giving you when
- 7:50you're saying yes or no to things and what she's telling
- 7:53you. And are you paying attention to
- 7:55that? And so we through doing this,
- 7:58when we identify those five nourishing activities and
- 8:01identify those five ways we want to feel over the next six
- 8:05months, we look at our calendars and see what's out of alignment,
- 8:09what's in alignment and start practicing saying yes or no to
- 8:13those things that that don't fit in that we want to fit.
- 8:17This is going to help you create a simple, sustainable self-care
- 8:23blueprint that supports your emotional, mental and physical
- 8:29health. It's amazing when just making
- 8:30those little shifts, look at your calendar and making sure
- 8:33some of those activities that nourish you are incorporated on
- 8:37a regular basis. So for instance, an activity
- 8:39that nourishes me is listening to my favorite music.
- 8:43And so that is something I can incorporate throughout my day.
- 8:46I can turn on my Spotify, can listen to it on my way to a work
- 8:49meeting. I can listen to it sometimes if
- 8:51I have an admin day as I'm working, I can listen to it when
- 8:55I'm on my walk. That's an activity that nourish
- 8:57me is that fills my cup. It doesn't require me to find
- 9:01new time. It just rather than scrolling on
- 9:03my phone or answering work emails, maybe while I'm walking,
- 9:07I'm listening to that music. So that's in a way that you can
- 9:10incorporate that in that doesn't require a lot of structural
- 9:14changes, but you'll be surprised how much that fills your cup and
- 9:18helps you feel like you've taken care of yourself, attended
- 9:22yourself, or paid attention to what you need in some way.
- 9:25So we're going to this again, like I said, it helps you create
- 9:29a simple, sustainable self-care blueprint that again, supports
- 9:33your emotional, mental and physical health.
- 9:36It's going to give you that immediate sense of relief,
- 9:40clarity and renewed energy. And these are things.
- 9:44So when you start feeling, and I'm going to go back to that
- 9:46emotional, mental, physical health space, your body will
- 9:50tell you whether it is a tightness in your chest, whether
- 9:54it's a headache, whether it's a stomach ache, whether it is just
- 9:59an uneasy feeling. You're going to get a sense of
- 10:03when things are out of alignment.
- 10:05And so this is going to be an invitation for you to go back.
- 10:10And can, you know, remind yourself, I need to ask myself
- 10:13again, am I incorporating those activities that nourish me?
- 10:16I need to check in with myself again if those have changed and
- 10:20I need to create some new spaces or new things.
- 10:23I need to go back and ask myself again how I would describe
- 10:27myself. And those are with adjectives
- 10:30like passionate, compassionate, empathetic, stubborn, funny.
- 10:38Those are those are those are examples of how you would
- 10:41describe yourself. Do I need to check in with that?
- 10:43Has something else? I talk about the layers all the
- 10:46time. Has something else presented
- 10:48itself that you didn't realize before or that's been added to
- 10:52this space and place as you go through time and change and
- 10:56learn and grow? We're constantly evolving,
- 10:58growing, learning, learning and staying curious about that.
- 11:02So rather than getting irritated that you're feeling this way, I
- 11:06invite curiosity. Where's that coming from?
- 11:09Where am I out of alignment? Do I need to re examine these
- 11:14activities that nourish me the way I'm filling my cup or not
- 11:17filling my cup? Have I pushed some of these
- 11:19things aside to make room for things that maybe aren't aligned
- 11:23out of, not in alignment with me?
- 11:26And so it's an invitation to come back and be curious, but it
- 11:30gives you that blueprint to help you stay on course.
- 11:35And the idea behind it is that you walk away with a reset plan
- 11:40that makes you feel centered, nourished, and back in alignment
- 11:44with yourself. You'll stop performing for
- 11:46others and start honoring what you actually need.
- 11:52So that is an example of what a reset would look like.
- 11:57So what are you going to do this week for your reset?
- 12:01I invite you to go to our show notes where we've got APDF in
- 12:05here that asks some of these key questions.
- 12:07I've already referred to the activities that nourish you the
- 12:11way you want to feel the next six months.
- 12:13How you would describe yourself and start there and then look at
- 12:17your calendar and where can you start making space to make sure
- 12:23you're living in alignment with this.
- 12:25Where do you need to move some things or is there time that
- 12:29you're already utilizing again answering those emails or making
- 12:32those phone calls on the way to work.
- 12:34Maybe it's instead you incorporate one of these
- 12:37activities that nourish you because it scientifically shows
- 12:41that when we fill our pups, we are able to do.
- 12:47We're more productive, we're more creative, we're more
- 12:49present, we're more connected, and we actually get more done in
- 12:53less time rather than being tired and ragged and burn out
- 12:57and spread too thin. And it actually takes more
- 12:59energy and more time to do, to do these things.
- 13:03So it really is worth it one because you're worth it and two,
- 13:08because it just makes resource sense.
- 13:10We don't ask a car to drive down the road on an empty tank.
- 13:14It won't it will die. So we'll and so the same goes
- 13:17for you. So take the opportunity this
- 13:20week. Look that PDF and if you need
- 13:22more support on this, the fuel reset is available for you to
- 13:26work with me one-on-one as well. If you need some more
- 13:29accountability and some long term help really digging into
- 13:33these questions are really stumping you.
- 13:36Let me help you go to that contact form.
- 13:38Let's get together. The link to the feel Reset
- 13:41one-on-one empowerment program with me is LinkedIn here on our
- 13:46show notes and on our resources page.
- 13:47Check it out and reach out to me and let's get together.
- 13:50But I hope this feel Reset support has given you some
- 13:56things to think about and is encouraging you and maybe
- 13:59utilizing some time during your journaling time, quiet time when
- 14:02you're walking to think about these things and put these into
- 14:05place. Let's get you living in
- 14:06alignment in this new year of 2026.
- 14:10Thanks so much for being with me here today.
