- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Adam here. How would you like to lose £40
- 0:43worth of body fat? Now you may not want to.
- 0:46You may only want to lose 10 lbs.
- 0:48If you think in kilos like I do, maybe 5 kilos, 10 kilos.
- 0:52But the client that I was working with did want to lose 40
- 0:55lbs and they had already successfully lost 40 lbs around
- 1:00about four or five years earlier.
- 1:03The problem is, is that they had a health condition which made
- 1:06them have low energy and then they reverted back to some of
- 1:10their old eating habits. And what this hypnosis session
- 1:13does is it reminds them that they have the capability that
- 1:18their body can adapt and respond to certain eating habits, and
- 1:22also that it is safe to lose that amount of weight.
- 1:26And it's safe because body fat is just stored energy.
- 1:30And you can think of it as energy hidden behind a locked
- 1:34vault. But certain things open the
- 1:36vault. Things like being in a calorie
- 1:39deficit and having very low carbohydrates and maybe just
- 1:42eating 2 meals a day. That opens the vault.
- 1:45And then because there's all this energy in the vault, by
- 1:49keeping the vault open, by doing things like falling asleep
- 1:52hungry and doing certain things that encourage the body to use
- 1:57that stored energy through things like ketosis, then
- 2:01actually you can build momentum and then your stomach shrinks,
- 2:05which is an adaptation. Your body gets used to using
- 2:09ketones as energy and then it gets easier and easier.
- 2:13So it's normally that first week or two that's the most
- 2:15challenging. And this hypnosis session is
- 2:17designed to open the vault and then have the motivation to keep
- 2:21the vault open. So if you like the idea of
- 2:26losing body fat and you know that a low carb, high protein,
- 2:31but with vegetables, almost like a paleo diet is good for your
- 2:34body, you might get some real value from this.
- 2:36So it's all about burning fat. It's not just about losing
- 2:38weight because this client wanted to retain their muscle
- 2:41mass, but they wanted to lose body fat specifically.
- 2:44And this is quite a good strategy to do it.
- 2:47And it uses hypnotic metaphor to help you.
- 2:50It was created for an individual.
- 2:52It might be that a high protein, low carb plan isn't the right
- 2:55plan for you, but you still want to lose weight.
- 2:57In which case there will be a link in the show notes where you
- 3:00can schedule a completely free consultation.
- 3:02Call to explore working with me and we can have a chat to see if
- 3:06I'm the right hypnotherapist to work with you.
- 3:09For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:12won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy this session.
- 3:51Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:58relaxing long breath. And as you exhale, allow your
- 4:06eyelids to completely relax. And with your eyes closed, feel
- 4:13that you're releasing tension in your outward breath.
- 4:19Breathing in that resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation
- 4:25and allowing yourself to just let go, to release, to feel that
- 4:37feeling of allowing any stress worries, any tension to leave
- 4:46your body as you breathe out and then breathe in, that feeling of
- 4:52pure relaxation, calmness, that feeling of drifting deeper and
- 5:04deeper, relaxed. That's in.
- 5:13And as you breathe in and breathe out, I want you to
- 5:17recall the time, perhaps a few years ago, A time when you were
- 5:24proud. Proud of your weight loss, proud
- 5:29of your transformation. I don't want you to imagine what
- 5:35it would be like to step into that version of you, to feel
- 5:42that pride. Perhaps you could imagine a full
- 5:47length mirror and see your reflection, seeing just how much
- 5:55weight you have lost. And maybe maybe there's a
- 6:03swimming costume. A swimming costume that when you
- 6:09started that journey wouldn't have fit you, but when you had
- 6:14accomplished what you did, then it would.
- 6:22Perhaps you can remember the design, the colour, the shape of
- 6:25that costume. And I want you to imagine what
- 6:33it would feel like to look out of a window, staring at the
- 6:38ocean and wondering what it would be like to take a swim in
- 6:45the sea wearing that costume. And I want you to imagine that.
- 6:53Now imagine you're by the shore, feeling the freshness of the
- 6:59water, the waves. And I want you to feel how that
- 7:07water invigorates, refreshes, and stimulates.
- 7:17And as you imagine that, I want you to accept the suggestion
- 7:23that routine slows down the metabolism and surprises wake it
- 7:31up. A swim in the cold ocean will
- 7:36wake up your metabolism. A cold shower will wake up your
- 7:41metabolism. Missing a meal or reducing some
- 7:47foods that you normally crave will wake up your metabolism.
- 7:54And I want you to feel like you're about to play a game with
- 8:00your metabolism, a game of cat and mouse, that you will make
- 8:08changes that your metabolism isn't expecting, and it will
- 8:14fight back. And it will fight back with
- 8:18cravings and tiredness to try and lure you back to what you
- 8:25were doing before. But if you refuse, you force
- 8:31your metabolism in your body to adapt.
- 8:37If you eat less, your body will need to find energy from
- 8:42somewhere else. If you move more, you'll be
- 8:49tired at first, but then your body will give you more energy.
- 8:56But whenever you've been doing something for a couple of weeks,
- 9:03I want you to think of what you can do to surprise your body.
- 9:11And that might be to have a vegetable juice instead of a
- 9:14meal, or to drink a glass of water instead of having a snack.
- 9:21And whenever you surprise your body, your body will adapt.
- 9:30And as you breathe in and breathe out there on that beach
- 9:34near that ocean, I want you to imagine feeling how light you
- 9:42feel having lost all of this weight and thinking backwards to
- 9:50where it all began, following a certain plan.
- 9:57And maybe that plan was to reduce the amount of carbs, to
- 10:05increase the amount of protein, and to have those healthy
- 10:12vegetables as carbs rather than anything processed or refined.
- 10:22And I want you to get a feeling then you already know what works
- 10:29with your body. But this time we will enhance it
- 10:36even more. I want you to imagine there on
- 10:44that beach is one of those big bank vaults.
- 10:56The kind of vault that you would see in a heist movie.
- 11:01You know the ones. Big metallic giant door with
- 11:07what looks like a steering wheel on the front.
- 11:12And I want you to imagine that inside that vault is 76 days
- 11:20worth of energy. And imagine going up to the
- 11:24vault and trying to access that energy and it is locked tight.
- 11:32There is no way in. I want you to imagine that even
- 11:40if you had a safe cracker explosives, this vault is not
- 11:48opening. But I want you to imagine what
- 11:54it would be like to have just four days of waking up in the
- 12:01morning and having lemon with water, maybe a coffee in the
- 12:05morning, to have your first meal around midday, and that meal
- 12:13contains protein and maybe some vegetables.
- 12:19And then later at 5:00 PM, another delicious meal of
- 12:23protein and vegetables. And if you get really hungry,
- 12:28maybe some blueberries or a protein bar.
- 12:32But within that 6 hour window and the first day, you might
- 12:39feel a little bit hungry. And that's OK.
- 12:47And you're hoping you feel hungry right before you sleep
- 12:54because your brain will accept the suggestion that if you go to
- 12:57sleep hungry, you wake up without hunger because your body
- 13:05is adapting. And then imagine it's the second
- 13:09day and you wake up not feeling hungry.
- 13:13You have the lemon in the water, maybe a coffee, and that first
- 13:19meal where you break the fast at around midday.
- 13:24And that's enough because your stomach is shrinking, so you
- 13:29don't feel hungry again until around 5:00 PM and you have
- 13:33another meal and that fills you up.
- 13:39And maybe you could imagine working or rehearsing and around
- 13:4410 feeling hungry. But that makes you smile.
- 13:48You love it when you can fall asleep hungry, knowing that you
- 13:56are encouraging your body to adapt while you're sleeping.
- 14:05And imagine doing that for two more days and suddenly that big
- 14:11vault with 76 days worth of energy unlocks.
- 14:19You see the big wheel on the front of the vault rotating and
- 14:25then it swings open and as it opens I want you to see enough
- 14:31energy for 76 days. And at this point, you feel that
- 14:44you have one goal, and that is to keep the vault open.
- 14:55And what's interesting is that certain things will keep the
- 15:00vault open and only a few things will close it.
- 15:06And even if it closes, you know how to open it again.
- 15:15And the first thing that would close the vault are those
- 15:23refined carbohydrates. And I want you to imagine what
- 15:28it would feel like to have something that represents that
- 15:36carbohydrates, maybe bread, maybe pasta, maybe something
- 15:42else. And the moment you imagine
- 15:45eating it, the vault closes. And then you lose access to that
- 15:52energy. But you want that energy, and
- 15:59the only other thing that closes the vault is eating too much.
- 16:08Too much of anything so that your body is no longer in a
- 16:13calorie deficit will then close the vault.
- 16:19But you have no interest in closing the vault because when
- 16:23the vault is open, you want to keep it open.
- 16:35I want you to imagine what it would feel like to know that you
- 16:39have 76 days worth of energy and every day you have those two
- 16:47meals, one at midday and one at 5, you are depleting some of
- 16:55that energy resource is in that vault.
- 17:00And of course it will take more than 76 days to deplete the
- 17:04vault because you're still eating something.
- 17:11The only way the vault would be depleted in 76 days is for you
- 17:16not to eat for 76 days. But that's not your plan.
- 17:24You don't mind if it takes six months or even a year, so long
- 17:31as the vault gets depleted. And you've done this before, so
- 17:38you can do it again, only this time you will empty the vault
- 17:44faster than last time, because now you know how to do it.
- 17:51I want you to think back to that time when you followed a certain
- 17:55way of eating and imagine living like that tomorrow, and then the
- 18:01day after. And you remember those meals.
- 18:07And you remember what you did on special occasions to avoid
- 18:11closing that vault. And you also remember what you
- 18:16did to indulge or enjoy yourself without going all the way back
- 18:23to where you were before. And I want you to feel.
- 18:31I want you to feel. Then you are just four or five
- 18:36days away from opening that vault.
- 18:40And when the vaults open, your appetite will go down, cravings
- 18:46will reduce, and you will notice those food noises disappearing.
- 18:56You will notice you think about food less because once that
- 19:00vault is open, your body has access to an abundance of
- 19:05energy, therefore it doesn't need food as much.
- 19:12But when your vault was closed, you only had a few hours worth
- 19:17of energy. But when the vault is open, you
- 19:23have more than two months worth of energy.
- 19:31And as your unconscious mind accepts these suggestions based
- 19:37on the laws of physics, energy cannot be created or destroyed,
- 19:46only transferred. And I want you to feel that you
- 19:52are turning the energy in the vault into movement, breathing.
- 19:59Everything you do uses energy. So you're not losing weight,
- 20:07you're using weight because your weight.
- 20:13Is just energy and by eating protein in the meals you can
- 20:19serve your muscles and by having those multivitamins and
- 20:25vegetables you ensure health and vitality.
- 20:31The only thing that you're depriving yourself are those
- 20:35refined carbohydrates. But in doing so, the vault opens
- 20:43and you have access to more energy than you can ever get by
- 20:50consuming it in those carbohydrates.
- 20:56And I want you to imagine what it would feel like after your
- 21:02first week when you know for sure that your vault is open.
- 21:07You would have already lost some weight because of that water
- 21:11attached to the glycogen that you no longer hold.
- 21:15And by Week 2, you might have lost maybe two or three extra
- 21:22pounds, but this time, body fat. And I want you to remember that
- 21:30at the beginning, it's easier to lose weight and the more
- 21:35challenging time is when you hit those plateaus.
- 21:40But I want you to feel that this is a test of your resolve.
- 21:47Those weeks where progress seems less noticeable is also a tactic
- 21:56of your metabolism to goad you to go back to old eating habits.
- 22:04And if you do, the vault closes and the cravings begin again.
- 22:13But every time you feel there is that lack of progress, what if
- 22:21that galvanizes your resolve to continue anyway?
- 22:26I want you to get a sense then one of the most powerful
- 22:34resources in losing excess body fat isn't discipline.
- 22:42It's not willpower. It's patience, being willing to
- 22:49do the right thing, even if you don't see the results for long
- 22:56enough until the results become obvious.
- 23:03I want you to imagine a month, two meals a day, very low carbs
- 23:12and feeling your body is transforming.
- 23:17And at that point your body is really getting good at using the
- 23:22energy in the vault. And I want you to imagine what
- 23:25it would feel like to have a morning workout without needing
- 23:32any food until lunchtime. To know that every night you
- 23:37sleep, whether you're hungry or not, your body is burning body
- 23:42fat like one of those old oil lamps.
- 23:48You've seen them in those old fashioned movies where they have
- 23:54lamps in the street, the lamps burning oil that quite often
- 24:00came from the blubber and body fat of mammals like whales.
- 24:10Fat is energy, and if it's used either for movement or to
- 24:17provide light, then the energy is being transferred.
- 24:27And I want you to imagine you are wiser now than you've ever
- 24:31been. And even if you feel low energy
- 24:36and fatigue, you will continue doing the things that keep the
- 24:42vault open. Cravings become a clue of
- 24:49adaptation. Hunger is evidence that you are
- 24:54in a calorie deficit, all of which helps your body to adapt,
- 25:01to keep the vault open and to keep using that energy in the
- 25:06vault. And I want you to get a feeling
- 25:10then you are unleashing all of the resources to 1st open the
- 25:19vault and then keep the vault open.
- 25:26But let's say something happens in a few weeks from now.
- 25:33You eat something and you feel the vault has closed.
- 25:41This isn't a problem at all, because if the vault closes
- 25:48after just one or two things, so long as the next meal or the
- 25:54next day, is that healthy? High protein, low carbs, then
- 26:03the vault just opens again and you only lose a day.
- 26:13But if the vault closes and that gives you an excuse to eat those
- 26:20refined carbs for many days, then the vault remains locked
- 26:28and takes longer to reopen. And I want you to feel that you
- 26:34are training your brain to have that tenacity, determination,
- 26:43stubbornness and resolve to open the vault, to keep it open and
- 26:52that resilience so that if it closes, you will do whatever is
- 26:58required to open the vault again.
- 27:01And if your unconscious understands, let me know by
- 27:05nodding your head. And I want you to feel that you
- 27:10have reactivated the neural pathways of your past that knows
- 27:16what it takes for your body to adapt, to get used to that way
- 27:20of eating. Only this way we are enhancing
- 27:26it to make it even more powerful.
- 27:30And as you hold that thought, take a deep breath in through
- 27:32your nose and out through your nose.
- 27:37Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 27:40Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 27:46from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 27:50Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8.
- 27:58Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910 Wide awake,
- 28:03wide awake, wide awake. Thank you so much for joining me
- 28:16on today's episode of the Hypnotist.

- 28:3610 seconds to share this episode with someone that you know, that

- 28:45people that don't already know about this show.
- 28:49Thank you very much for listening and I will see you
- 28:51again on the next episode.
