- 0:20Speaker 2: To Freaky Friday.
- 0:23Speaker 1: This is where anonymous sbmissions have come through and they
- 0:26Speaker 1: could be scandalous, sexy, haunting ghosts, like literally anything something
- 0:30Speaker 1: that you haven't told anyone or you've taken to the grave.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So let's get straight into today's episode.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Let's do it. So this experience happened to me just
- 0:38Speaker 2: after I got my license. I think it was on
- 0:40Speaker 2: my Green Peas at the time. And to give a
- 0:41Speaker 2: little bit of context, my poppy died of cancer, followed
- 0:44Speaker 2: by my nan a couple of years later, also from cancer.
- 0:47Speaker 2: My grandmother never drove while my pot was alive, so
- 0:50Speaker 2: when he passed she got her first car to gain
- 0:52Speaker 2: some of her independence back. It was a baby blue
- 0:55Speaker 2: Hyundai Getz and when she passed away, I was about
- 0:58Speaker 2: sixteen years old and I bought it as my first car.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I absolutely loved it. But one night, after a twelve shift,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I was a hairdresser by the way, I stopped in
- 1:08Speaker 2: to see my mom before I went home. When I
- 1:09Speaker 2: pulled up, she said she saw my car and had
- 1:12Speaker 2: this horrible vision of my car crumbled. We both said
- 1:14Speaker 2: that that was weird, and we kind of just like
- 1:16Speaker 2: shrugged it off. I had a tea, I headed home,
- 1:19Speaker 2: and that was about thirty minutes from her house. I
- 1:22Speaker 2: was coming off the exit of the motorway just near
- 1:24Speaker 2: my house when next to the big green sign, I
- 1:26Speaker 2: saw my grandparents standing there in my headlights. My Poppy
- 1:30Speaker 2: had his arm around my nan, and they were smiling
- 1:32Speaker 2: and calmly said be careful, darlin. I blinked as I
- 1:35Speaker 2: couldn't believe what I'd saw. As I did, I realized
- 1:38Speaker 2: that I was drifting off the road, and I swerved
- 1:41Speaker 2: to get back on the track, pulled over with my
- 1:43Speaker 2: hazards on, and burst into tears. I called my husband,
- 1:45Speaker 2: who never believed in anything in quotations woo woo, and
- 1:48Speaker 2: he said, somebody is watching out for you. You were
- 1:50Speaker 2: probably exhausted after a big day. I drove home so safely,
- 1:54Speaker 2: both windows down to keep me alert, and quit hairdressing
- 1:57Speaker 2: after realizing that it was leaving me so exhausted, even
- 2:00Speaker 2: though I just pushed through it. I to this day
- 2:02Speaker 2: still don't know if I was actually asleep when I
- 2:04Speaker 2: saw them standing or if it was their spirit keeping
- 2:06Speaker 2: me safe from whatever was about to happen to me.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But either way, I felt like I got a second
- 2:11Speaker 2: chance that night and often find myself thanking them every
- 2:13Speaker 2: single time I drive past that exit. Was the vision
- 2:16Speaker 2: my mom saw another sign from them? Was it all
- 2:19Speaker 2: a big coincidence? I'll never know, but thank my lucky
- 2:21Speaker 2: stars every day. Wow, Wow, that's so incredible.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Scary but incredible, all right out o my goodness.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I don't think that's a coincidence for them, the mom
- 2:32Speaker 1: to see the vision and then for you to see them.
- 2:35Speaker 1: But crazy, she doesn't have she was asleep or not,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Must have been in some kind of dazed state. Like
- 2:40Speaker 2: obviously you were tired, it was a long day, you
- 2:42Speaker 2: were working. And to have had that experience and then
- 2:46Speaker 2: come to almost like realize and have that realization you
- 2:49Speaker 2: were behind the wheel and that you're swerving is scary.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's a scary moment to experience.
- 2:53Speaker 1: That's so dangerous to drive when you're that tired. Did
- 2:56Speaker 1: you ever like fall like length or wanted to fall
- 2:58Speaker 1: asleep at the wheel, not.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Fallen asleep, But I've definitely been tired behind the wheel
- 3:02Speaker 2: driving to and from my work when I work a
- 3:05Speaker 2: nine to five job in Sydney, so I used to
- 3:08Speaker 2: have to drive three hours a day to and fro,
- 3:10Speaker 2: so an hour and a half there, an hour and
- 3:11Speaker 2: a half.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Back lot top of a big day.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, on top of a twelve hour shift every single day.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And I was doing that like six seven days a week,
- 3:18Speaker 2: and you definitely do get to a point. I think
- 3:20Speaker 2: there was a couple of times I did night shift
- 3:21Speaker 2: as well, and that's when it happened. Yeah, doing night shift,
- 3:25Speaker 2: coming home and finishing at six am and then having
- 3:27Speaker 2: to drive an hour and a half home. That was bad,
- 3:29Speaker 2: so tough.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I remember this one time, I must have been like
- 3:32Speaker 1: twenty or something when I used to do bikin a
- 3:33Speaker 1: competitions at like pubs and clubs and stuff, and they
- 3:37Speaker 1: drag on all night. So I'd been like peata in
- 3:39Speaker 1: the morning, worked a valley, go all day, peat in
- 3:42Speaker 1: the afternoon, go home like glammed up. Go to the competition.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You have to do heats, so you've got to make
- 3:47Speaker 1: each heat and then there's a semi final and then
- 3:49Speaker 1: there's a final. So like drags on fro about a month.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Here's a hustler.
- 3:52Speaker 1: This is yeah, seriously, this is all turned like if
- 3:54Speaker 1: you get first prize, you're be in like a thousand bucks.
- 3:56Speaker 1: A second prize at seven fifty and it's five hundred.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I was a big hustler and I did enjoy it.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But yeah, this one competition that just dragged on and
- 4:04Speaker 1: it didn't finish two two thirty in the morning or something,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and I want to it and I was like excited.
- 4:08Speaker 1: But I remember getting in the car. I was like
- 4:10Speaker 1: from Brisbane, so to drive back to the Gold Coast,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and I remember feeling so tired. I remember telling myself
- 4:15Speaker 1: just like close your eyes for just a second, and
- 4:17Speaker 1: I remember closing them and I could have fallen asleep,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and I literally jerked myself awake. I was like, oh,
- 4:23Speaker 1: wound out my windows, turn the music up really loud,
- 4:25Speaker 1: like let the fresh air wake me up. And I
- 4:26Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, this is so dangerous, so dangerous,
- 4:29Speaker 1: such a big wake up call. And if I ever
- 4:32Speaker 1: feel tired, like either I won't drive or like winding
- 4:35Speaker 1: down the windows, it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Just wakes you up. Be it's so cold, it definitely
- 4:37Speaker 2: doesn't make a difference. Hey keeps you or like turn
- 4:39Speaker 2: the aircorne on full ball. Yeah, you don't open the
- 4:41Speaker 2: windows close cold.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it keeps you awake.
- 4:44Speaker 2: The moment that that heat you get warm. Crazy, It's
- 4:47Speaker 2: just it's not it and it was definitely not worth it.
- 4:49Speaker 1: No anyone that's sudden at Tony Robins. Course he makes
- 4:52Speaker 1: the room so cold, but he says, I do this
- 4:55Speaker 1: to keep you guys awake, you to be here for
- 4:56Speaker 1: sixteen hours learning you're going to stay awake.
- 4:58Speaker 2: It was it works because I was freezing when I went.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah I did three a three day or a four day.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it does a meditation. I'm like on Steve's shoulder.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Like I just want to see it, Like my back's
- 5:10Speaker 2: hurting a lot to sit through.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Oh that's a crazy story but so beautiful. And yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I wonder what she's doing now she's not hairdressing, because
- 5:17Speaker 1: it's like that's your training, as we've done for so
- 5:19Speaker 1: many years, and you obviously love it, Like what do
- 5:20Speaker 1: you what do you do after.
- 5:22Speaker 2: That big huge decision to make after that? But obviously
- 5:24Speaker 2: it's made a realization for you that like oh wow,
- 5:27Speaker 2: maybe I don't feel aligned in this or maybe this
- 5:29Speaker 2: isn't the path for me.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It's not worth it for me to be so tired
- 5:32Speaker 1: and risk my life driving home. I've seen so tired
- 5:34Speaker 1: hatdresses can do really long hours. Hey, you know it's
- 5:36Speaker 1: really cool. I really like that the mum saw that vision.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I like hearing stuff like this of like really intuitive
- 5:43Speaker 1: things happening because it's.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Just so intriguing. I find it scary. It is scary.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You feel like you're manifesting and putting it out there.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You don't want to like make it come to fruition.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And you know it wasn't just an interest. You thought
- 5:54Speaker 1: it was like, oh wait, this.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Is like a vision.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it's true.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's a little bit different. Yeah you know, yeah, but
- 5:59Speaker 2: I get that the fear of that. Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Well, thanks setting it in guys, and we'll see you
