- 0:00Speaker: Good morning.
- 0:01Speaker: Sorry I missed yesterday.
- 0:03Speaker: I had an interlude with the bureaucracy of our governmental systems and spent half my day accomplishing very little except for reinforcing what I already have found many times is because of the nature of our federal and state and local municipal bureaucracy, dollars are misspent.
- 0:27Speaker: We need to run our offices in whatever part of our structure we have more efficiently.
- 0:35Speaker: And we can begin this by not having new hires in those areas where there's much less work than there are people to do it.
- 0:45Speaker: And so we need to balance things better.
- 0:48Speaker: This is benign, a way to do it in a way that doesn't hurt anyone.
- 0:55Speaker: Slowly decreasing the size of our government.
- 0:58Speaker: Enough.
- 0:59Speaker: Let your breath be your flowing remembering of the intricacy of what we're experiencing, of which we ignore most of.
- 1:30Speaker: Yet we keep a certain semblance of awareness, of activities, our sights, our senses, our sounds, our touches, our smells, we are involved in quite a number of different pain thresholds of our skin, you know, all these things, yes.
- 1:49Speaker: Our minds, our own thought processes and wanderings.
- 1:55Speaker: It is quite a bit that we handle, but in the relationship of the perspective of what we represent, each of us as an organism, it is nothing.
- 2:06Speaker: Not even, not even anything.
- 2:10Speaker: When one has thirty-seven trillion cells, that are in conversation, what are we talking about?
- 2:20Speaker: This alone dwarfs all being, and this is just inside one's own skin.
- 2:25Speaker: What about what's coming?
- 2:27Speaker: From the entirety of our universe, in every way, through one's feet, through one's scalp, everywhere.
- 2:39Speaker: There are trillions upon trillions upon trillions of interludes occurring simultaneously everywhere.
- 2:49Speaker: And we pick a few.
- 2:50Speaker: So to being aware of this, that's all.
- 2:53Speaker: It's important that we concentrate on those that have been found to be most helpful to what?
- 3:01Speaker: To evolution, to the continuance and the growing complexity of this organism.
- 3:09Speaker: We call ourselves Homo sapiens.
- 3:11Speaker: Seeds of thoughts is what this is about.
- 3:15Speaker: Seeds of Zaran the Gardener.
- 3:19Speaker: Seeds.
- 3:20Speaker: And there are many ways to keep a flowing remembering or memory of our being through our physical activities, through our breathing, as suggested, through our breath.
- 3:33Speaker: It is enough to remember one's heart and soul.
- 3:43Speaker: How we come into our next moment is everything.
- 3:56Speaker: It is the dawn, it is the birth.
- 3:59Speaker: Where have you come from the moment past and what was going on there?
- 4:05Speaker: Being present is where we are.
- 4:18Speaker: The universe is, has already swallowed us.
- 4:25Speaker: We are floating like a star.
- 4:28Speaker: Each of us a being aware.
- 4:32Speaker: Some place, sometime, under a beautiful sky filled with water vapor clouds.
- 4:43Speaker: Look at the splendor of our being.
- 4:46Speaker: This is just one side, one perspective.
- 4:50Speaker: What about what's going on as this air we're viewing flowing inside of ourselves as our breath?
- 5:00Speaker: Just this alone is enough to transport oneself in awe, in depth.
- 5:11Speaker: In the flowing rhythm of one's long inhale.
- 5:18Speaker: Pause.
- 5:21Speaker: Exhale.
- 5:25Speaker: Pause.
- 5:29Speaker: And beginning again and remembering again and again.
- 5:35Speaker: For surely each of us will turn our attention to something else.
- 5:41Speaker: Our focus will necessarily change.
- 5:44Speaker: And to remember is a positive beginning.
- 5:49Speaker: Remembering this.
- 5:50Speaker: It is the beginning of a positive momentum.
- 5:55Speaker: Don't crush it with remorse.
- 5:58Speaker: Welcome it with curiosity.
- 6:00Speaker: Okay, what can I do?
- 6:02Speaker: Do both.
- 6:03Speaker: Whatever you're thinking about, do it.
- 6:05Speaker: And then remembering at the same token, your breath.
- 6:10Speaker: This is wisdom.
- 6:12Speaker: It is not mine.
- 6:15Speaker: It is age old.
- 6:18Speaker: Know thyself.
- 6:21Speaker: This is where it begins.
- 6:23Speaker: Behind the veneer of one's skin.
- 6:27Speaker: Different perspectives we share.
- 6:31Speaker: Just being aware of your breath.
- 6:38Speaker: Changes the momentum of one's being.
- 6:44Speaker: This is really what is behind all this.
- 6:49Speaker: It is not just one's four-part harmony of breathing, although it is everything, literally.
- 6:58Speaker: It is to soothe and calm one's soul.
- 7:02Speaker: To help one make an effort to find one's own foundation.
- 7:11Speaker: One's glowing, vibrating, shimmering ocean of being.
- 7:20Speaker: We can call it that.
- 7:23Speaker: Thirty-seven trillion cells.
- 7:26Speaker: I think it's appropriate.
- 7:28Speaker: Each of us.
- 7:30Speaker: And in a sense, also an island in a universe of which we are a part.
- 7:39Speaker: Each of us.
- 7:41Speaker: A distinct individual, unique island of consciousness called self.
- 7:49Speaker: Part of an ocean.
- 7:52Speaker: An ocean inside.
- 7:55Speaker: Just being open, curious, accepting, flowing.
- 8:08Speaker: With the dynamics of being alive, coming back to one's breathing.
- 8:14Speaker: Adding in one's pulsing.
- 8:17Speaker: Adding in the feeling of the pulsing as it undulates through one's body in waves.
- 8:26Speaker: Feeling one's warmth.
- 8:30Speaker: These are steps along a way.
- 8:33Speaker: It is the journey of one's life.
- 8:36Speaker: It is happening tens upon tens of tens of thousands of times a day.
- 8:44Speaker: And you're just being aware of it, more aware of it.
- 8:52Speaker: And this is what we can physically call our foundation.
- 8:57Speaker: Again and again and again.
- 9:03Speaker: It is as close as these words.
- 9:06Speaker: Opportunities abound.
- 9:11Speaker: It is why practice is not in a specific small segment of time.
- 9:18Speaker: Of course, recharge one's battery.
- 9:22Speaker: Plug in.
- 9:23Speaker: Vibrate one's consciousness.
- 9:26Speaker: Share.
- 9:27Speaker: Communicate.
- 9:29Speaker: This is a human way.
- 9:30Speaker: This is our social being.
- 9:35Speaker: Our structure.
- 9:37Speaker: The way mankind works.
- 9:39Speaker: Breathing, not with a sense of complacency, with a sense of alertness, of a heightening in one's awareness to a greater perspective, inclusive of a greater sensitivity to what's going on inside and outside.
- 10:15Speaker: Our being.
- 10:17Speaker: One grows.
- 10:37Speaker: One goes to school inside of one's own being.
- 10:41Speaker: Keep studying, practicing.
- 10:45Speaker: If you only do it for ten minutes a day, you only get ten minutes a day's worth of value.
- 10:55Speaker: If you do it less frequency than every day, then you diminish the value even more.
- 11:06Speaker: When you do it more than one time a day, two or three times a day, or more continually, then the rate of one's prospering will increase, become second nature, become one's habit.
- 11:30Speaker: Perfection, the world, the universe are always slipping and sliding, changing in every moment of this long flowing river of time.
- 11:45Speaker: We live within.
- 11:47Speaker: So I think perfection is constantly also changing, and it is always before us.
- 11:56Speaker: It is our goals, it is the changing nature of our universe.
- 12:00Speaker: Perfection is a impossibility, one might say.
