UNC, Blue Bloods and a Diamond Cup - IC Daily | Inside Carolina | College Basketball
Inside Carolina senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley for a discussion of the proposed Diamond Cup - a multi-team college basketball event that would feature the blue bloods of the sport at neutral locations playing a round-robin type schedule.
Barnes highlights the financial factor that goes into creating new events and the need for games and events that generate revenue for schools in this NIL era versus the old setups with trips to Maui and the Bahamas to play in those respective tournaments.
