- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Welcome to ABGW.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Amazing, brilliant, gorgeous, wonderful, five mindful minutes for your real life, not your imaginary perfect one.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: If you're smart, capable, and secretly exhausted, you're in the right place.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: I'm really curious to know this.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: You might feel like there's simply no space today.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: That you're just on one long conveyor belt of meetings and pings and everybody else's demands.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: What I would like to suggest is that you can choose a reset that fits in a calendar gap.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Try this where you are right now, if you can.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Plant both feet on the ground, unclench your jaw, let your shoulders roll back a notch, breathe in through your nose for four, and breathe out through your mouth for six.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Maybe three or four times.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Let your eyes soften and widen your attention, noticing three sounds, then three points of contact that you may have with the chair or the floor.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Name it kindly, almost like under your breath.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Fast mind, protective body, slowing now.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: So sooner or later you'll notice that your brain catastrophizes less when you repeat a short outbreath during the day.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: That ninety seconds reset.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: It proves that you can turn down the dial at the right pace for you.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: I hope that little snippet today shows you you don't need twenty minutes.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: You just need to allow yourself some time.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Next time we'll tackle the belief that small steps aren't worth it.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: If you're feeling unsafe or overwhelmed, please reach out for appropriate professional support, including myself, because you're allowed help.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: Because every step you take, no matter how small, is a step towards a brighter, more balanced future.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Trust in your journey and remember, progress is progress no matter the pace.
