- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning, listeners. We are on the Just For Today podcast, and you're here with your host, me, Cindy Marlar. Today we're gonna get better at AI. That's it. We can do it. If we were born in the 1970s or earlier than today, we're gonna spend some time getting better at AI. And even if you were born in the 80s or 90s or 2000s or later, then you're going to today use Chat GPT or Claude or something for something new and different. Stop using it for same old, same old. I want you to try to use it for something new and different. Ask it to make an itinerary for a place you've always dreamed of going, or ask if you've always dreamed of going to Hawaii and you've never been, how much would a trip like that cost and how many days would be best? I want you to think outside the box today and use Chat GPT or Claude or whatever you prefer in a way that you're not already using it. So whatever way you're using it, I want you to just expand upon that. Because these tools are wonderful tools for our life, but they are only as good as the user. It's no different than the calculator when it came out, and no different than computers. AI is not going to take over the world. The people who can use AI effectively will then be in a position to be able to use AI to make massive changes and improvements. But if you stay behind the loop or behind the gain here, you're going to be at a severe disadvantage. And all you have to do is just stay in the game. Open it up. Try to think about something. Ask it to solve a problem and let it get to know you. You can upload your own writings, your own things, and let it get to know your voice and style. Tell it about yourself. Give it, ask it to write a fun greeting card for your spouse and get to know you and see what it says, guys. Just play around, spend some time, just like when calculators came out or microwaves came out, depending how old you are. You have to get to know how to use something. And the only way to get to know how to use it is use it in a variety of situations. So ChatGPT Claude, they could turn into these tools that some of us only use for the same thing for 10, 15 years. Or you can invest some time in getting to understand the new things it can do, the things you're not even thinking of it can do. And sometimes you just have to ask people, what do you use it for? What are you doing with that? To discover a new different way you can use it, or get on YouTube. some and and ask YouTube to show you a video of fun things you can do. Even if it's just creative things, even if you can just ask it to do something creative or create a book, you give it some prompts and you create a book. I just want you to use it and get comfortable using the tool that's going to be around for a while in ways that you don't normally do it. Because we are going to stay up with technology. We are not going to allow ourselves to fall behind the curve. We're going to be curious about technology and the tools and how it can improve our life. And then as it improves our lives and saves time, we're going to decide what we do with that time. Cause we're not just going to use our save time to be lazy or take value away. So today, just for today, I want you to get on your your favorite AI ⁓ and use it for something new and different. All right. Leave it in the comments what you're doing. Give other people ideas. But let's get to know and get comfortable with these new tools so we can use and benefit from them and not just complain and whine about them. Don't worry though, you just have to do it for today. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
