- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to another episode of the gym business coach podcast.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Randy Inkson, the host for the day.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: Join with Zach Lumbia.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yo yo, I welcome back.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: How are we doing?
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: uh... we just got back at back in town we took uh... some of the iron circlapped to speaker school out in Providence, Rhode Island it performed better headquarters um... lot of eight nuggets obviously i love seeing the breakthroughs of everybody over day one to day two and uh... it's a skill set that we feel transpires every every direction of life so
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you have the opportunity in one of Thomas's future workshops, I recommend jumping in, but for today, we're going to continue tickling your your drums with a little bit of knowledge.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: Don't try to move the good shot.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever been in a situation where you just don't see things, maybe the emotions of what you're doing, or
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: or just being too close to the problem kind of clouds your judgment.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we're going to dive in today and kind of dissect some of this and Zach and I were having a conversation I'll let you kind of kind of lead with it.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: But we're big believers that quite often
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, running a business, you're too close to the problem and you don't see opportunity or errors or things like that because you're in it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: You're doing it every day and sometimes you need an objective eye to look at the businesses and see those opportunities see those areas for improvement and so forth.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: But once you started off kind of laying the foundation for today's episode.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I would just let's let's paint the picture of this.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a Gemowner, you have competitors.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably within five miles at least one gym close to you.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: What should you do?
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine you're a secret shopper.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: They don't know you, you walk into their business and you pretend to be a customer.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: You're interested in working out and becoming a client of their gym.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what are you going to do?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're naturally going to search for faults.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to search for things that you do better that you pick up on in their gym.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe you're getting a tour and you're walking around and you see trainer over there in the corner and they're not paying attention to the client the way that you think that they should.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: And then maybe you look across and you see another coach and that coach is letting a client get away with her poor form.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe as they take you around, you know, you're looking down.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: You notice there's a cobweb in the corner or there's, you know, some scuffs on the wall.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you go into the bathroom and the bathrooms.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: not speaking to the band and you sit down and they take you through a consultation and you're you're going through a kind of role play on a consultation and you're picking up things that you're like, oh, they shouldn't say that.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: I would I say it this way and my conversations and
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: And if you went through the whole entire journey and you became a client and you signed up and they're nurturing you and you're coming in for your first session.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: All these things you're going to be analyzing and you're going to be looking at and you're going to be comparing yourself, but you're going to be searching for the things that they're not doing correctly that you do better.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: And
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: I would say that if you and I went into their business,
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: How many things would we pick up on that they're not doing well?
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's this, there's power in kind of a secret shopper.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, big time.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: I've had the conversation with our coaching clients.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so, and I would say that's the benefit of having a coach.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: Is somebody that's not so close to the situation that is coming in and looking at things objectively.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but if you're that, if you, if you as the gym owner or that secret shop or you're going into somebody else's business, you're going to pick things apart, you know, and if, if you, but you're, you're probably as many things as you pick up on in that person's business.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: we could pick up in your business, you just don't see them.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's, you've got tunnel vision.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody sees things through a different lens.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I remember there were times, when I was the director here all the time is actually like every single week.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think would come in on Tuesdays to record and he would be like, you know, that needs fixed or that needs cleaned or whatever, and he would pick things apart, man.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: And they were things that I didn't see at all in the gym.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, because I was coming in and I was like, I had, you know, all I got to call this person.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: I got to talk to this member, I got, and I have the tunnel vision.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm focused on the things that I have to do, he's coming in and he's going, okay, what's this is my business.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a customer walking in here.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: What needs to happen?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that was the perspective he had all the time.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: However, he would do that when he first got here.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Then what would happen is he would, I would give him the mail and he would get the mail and he, you know, this is, yeah, that's what you're laughing.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: He would get the mail.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: He would open the mail and then he would just like drop it on the counter and then like leave walk out and leave the gym for the day and he just like left all the junk mail just laying out in the middle.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: So if he had walked in.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: and seeing that here to them like, Zach, what is this?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: Why is this out of place?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: This needs to be, you know, putting it's right place.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: But now he's out of that mindset.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he's in a different mode and he's thinking about different things.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably like, I got to get out of here and go get on a call or whatever.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so his mind isn't a different place and so he drops the mail and he's out.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: Instead of throwing it away or whatever.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a Jim owner, it's like you're walking into your business, you're going to see certain things.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: But there's going to be just as many things that you don't see.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm using the example of, you know, a cobweb, a trainer not picking up on form or those types of things.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: But how about from a business standpoint?
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, not just like the visual views, but how about from a business standpoint?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's really where we come in.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, all those things are really important.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: We still talk about those and all that, but what if we came into your business?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: And we were like, you don't have training at 6 a.m.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: 6AM is like the most prime time spot of training or you're offering this type of training, you have one-on-one training at 6AM.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: When you just stifled your ability to serve 12 times, 14 times the amount of customers in that time spot and you're making $100 that hour instead of
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: Or you have a staff member that is here six, six hours a day, and they're not full time.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: When you could pay them two hours a day, fill up their schedule and have a full time employee that now doesn't have to have a second job and that's only going to cost you $5,000 a year to get that loyalty and buy and think of what that can do for your business.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or you're marketing and paying for these leads.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then it takes you four hours, five hours, 12 hours sometimes to make the first contact with somebody because you don't have the system in your business to have automation that touches that person immediately if you're busy and you can't don't have the bandwidth don't have the bandwidth to call them as soon as they come in you don't have the speed to lead, you know, capability.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: So there's all these things that you may be doing in your business.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times you because you're in it and you're doing it and you know what needs to get done.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: You just continue doing it and continuing getting it done versus stepping back and being like, hey, there's a better way.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: So if you go into somebody's business, you can identify a lot of these things, but a lot of times when it's your business.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's a blind spot for you.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then when somebody points it out to you.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think the first initial reaction is a little bit of, you know, push back because you've just been doing it and getting it done for so long.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's how would you think's around here.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's how you're here.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: But then when you take a step back and you look at it, objectively, instead of subjectively, you know, ah, there is probably a better way.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you see what that can do for you.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, yeah, that is a priority of something that we need to fix in our.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I think that's things some of that like that initial pushbacks that emotional reaction, right?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody nobody likes being called out or nobody likes being, necessarily wrongs and right word there, but, you know, nobody likes being recognized for the things that they could be doing better.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that emotionally being a gym owner where
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: right wrong or indifferent right people treat this like their baby.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: You have to have a subject or an objective eye on your own business.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be able to create the gap to step away to look at it and look at the whole picture, not just the quality of the experience on the floor, but are there other opportunities within my business that I'm leaving on the table and it could be everything from schedule to price point to billing frequency, you know, success leaves clues and when
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: this industry is very we like we lock on things so hard.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: So much of this industry is being done in a way that was created 30 years ago when training started to really you know take take off and if we're not constantly stepping back and looking at what the opportunity is to make progressive change that will help the business succeed for the future and future pace it
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: you're going to end up either hitting those those those glass ceilings or losing clients or sometimes you're leaving money in the table that you don't even realize is there because you haven't created a system or an opportunity to address some of those things.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't remember the coach, but years ago somebody that we were working with used the analogy that you don't repair a car while driving it.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that one really hits me, especially in this situation, because you're walking in your business every day and you're driving that car.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: And the check engine light might be on or you might need fuel or all these things, but if you don't see it, if you can't identify it, if you aren't aware of it, because you're so close to the problem, all of those things will continue or will never get addressed, will never get optimized.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: And you're going to end up like they will affect the business, they will affect the potential and where you could take this thing.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't have the opportunity to, maybe it's bringing in a coach, maybe it's bringing in the secret shopper, maybe it's like what, there may be it's stepping onto your business for a couple of weeks and then coming back and really looking at all of those things to identify areas of opportunity.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: But we don't create that type of opportunity for ourselves in our businesses.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: man.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: So you made so many great points.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think that we, you, how did you say, you said, uh, nobody likes to be recognized for the things that they're doing wrong.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Really, great way of putting these off Lee.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm pocketing that.
- 12:47[UNKNOWN]: Um,
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: But it's so true, like the more effort you put in to something, even if it's not getting you anywhere, the harder it is to make a change.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because it's it's like, you, you and Tim did a episode, it's been a few weeks back now, but it was about like the sunken cost, right?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can't have a Dave Ramsey.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: like attitude.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the same episode.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I might be merging a couple couple together.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: But you, you know, the idea was like, hey, you already have this sunk cost in this business.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I'm already so far in.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's too hard for me to pivot.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and a lot of times when you've been doing something the same way and putting in so much effort to keep that engine running, it's hard to then shift to doing it a different way.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but what you don't realize is like years ago, I had a Jeep loved this Jeep, man.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it's somehow got like a crack in the head.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: It started leaking radiator fluid to Jeep.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Not as shocked about that, but let's still cool.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was a diesel Jeep.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I love it.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: But it started leaking radiator fluid and I couldn't find the crack.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's like I would drive it every day and then I'd have to fill it up with radiator fluid after like going 70 miles, 100 miles.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I just kept doing that over and over and over again.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, this problem isn't getting solved.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just have to do that as like a maintenance thing.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: And can you really, how long can you really do that for?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: And the same thing applies in your business.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, if you just keep patching the holes and putting it in the fire, but not the fires and all that, like, you're never going to solve the problem.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that in this case, where that analogy kind of breaks down is you have to know what the problems even are in the business and sometimes you get so used to putting out the fires and grinding and just doing the thing that you don't look at it as a problem you just look at it as like a way of doing business good point.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: When somebody else can come in, like, if I didn't know, right, if I'm not a mechanic and I'm just drizzling, why is this thing leaking radiator fluid?
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just have to keep pouring it in and you go talk to a mechanic and mechanics like, hey, you have a cracked head.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: They know, they identify the problem immediately and they know what the solution is for that.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: The fix.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_01]: The fix.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, here's what you have to do to fix it.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Well, man, do I want to fix this?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to cost X amount to make that change.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to be able to drive it.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: I have to send it to the shop.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: If it's going to be a week of downtime, like when can I do this?
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Do I do it now?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: What happens if I don't do it?
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like what happens if I just keep doing what I'm doing?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's only scenarios that you have to go through to decide like, okay, is this worth it or not worth it.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so, but that would be where the professional would come in and say, hey, if you don't fix this,
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what's going to happen.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't make the decision for you, but here's what other problems this is causing and your business.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: And if you fix it, those problems go away.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so is it worth that temporary pain?
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: Or is you do it now?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I like to turn, I've always said, you know, we choose our hard.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard going in every day and having to put out the fires.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: You don't necessarily realize it's hard because it becomes part of the game type of thing, part of what you do on a daily basis, but then you could also look at, you know, the changes they have to make is a different kind of hard, right?
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: And you set it really well, right?
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Do I, is it a temporary pain point to fix these found for the future?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: Or am I okay taking those problems and just continuing down the path?
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what a coach or mentor or, I mean, even networking with other gym owners and seeing how others are doing it, the community component, right?
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Just being able to talk to other people who are in this industry doing things well, that's where those things come to light, you know, they show you the path down.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: They show you the opportunities on this path versus this path and my personal belief is more often than not, you know, those difficult short-term hardships for the means to an end are usually the right path.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, you're going to just find yourself in those cyclical positions where you're dumping radiator fluid into the business on a daily basis and expecting a different result.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's a definition of insanity.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: We've all heard it in a million times, right?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: I wish more Jim owners saw the opportunities that they have in front of them or could you know work with people that could identify those things and they took that action that ultimate leads leads to a greener pasture if you may.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well and I think.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: One thing that's really important is is knowing what is possible.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: because if you know it's possible, then you can back into it to say like, why am I not at that level?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like why, if this is what's possible, what's out there, and I'm here, something needs to happen in order for me to get to that level, and usually it's not just work harder.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because homeowners are really hardworking.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: We're willing to do the work.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're willing to do the work,
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so one of the things that I think we've tried to do at Jim Business Coach and previously Profit is say, hey, a million dollar single location training gym is totally within a very feasible.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's very doable and it's way simpler than you think.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: We do with five employees.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, five employees in less than 200 members.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's just having the the the systems and the right frameworks and all of that.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're not at a million dollars and it doesn't matter where there's no judgment here, like you could be at $10,000 a month.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're $10,000 a month, you are stuck in that tunnel vision, and if we walked into your business, we would go, okay, here are the things that we need to do right now to get you to $30,000 a month.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: When you hit 30, okay, here are the things that we need to implement to get you to 50, you're not going to see those because you, you just don't know what you don't know, but you have to kind of start with like, where does my gym fall?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I guess, and then, and then take a step back and start looking at things without emotion.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: There's a big part of it.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: Without a motion, look at it as objectively as humanly possible that you can.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have any type of
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: system for for this currently, but get on a call with us, guys.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do a, we'll do a secret shopper.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just start asking you some questions, right to see like, oh, well, here's five things that you need to change right now that are going to unlock a lot of revenue for you.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Tim, I just created that.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody likes to be recognized for the coach.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody likes to be recognized for the coach.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody likes to be recognized for the coach.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody likes to be recognized for the coach.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to get beat up.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're doing it wrong, but there's something to be said about that, right?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: Once you become aware of something, you have the opportunity to fix it.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: You have the opportunity to make the change.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're not going to put yourself in a position to become aware, you're always going to be, listen, James, clear, like you don't rise to the level of your goals.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: You fall to the level of your systems.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's huge in this industry because everyone's got, you know, everyone visions this goal, but are they creating the systems and what they need, the business structure, all of the form, you know, the formulation of all of those things in play that that goal can actually be a reality.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're unsure of that, this is, I mean, this is a medium plug for coaching, right?
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: You have to put yourself in that position of vulnerability.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be willing to
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe feel some early pain in the way of paying somebody else to take the look at the business, but there's so much benefit to that.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I do it when I walk into restaurants every time.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I have no, I can't shut off the judgment, the monitoring of systems in a business.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what we bring to the table.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's who we are.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll leave everybody with this.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: There are four gyms that you own.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: There's the gym that you see.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, there's the gym that you're staff.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: See, there's the gym you're clients see.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: And there's the gym that your gym can become.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: So the next time you walk into your gym, I would challenge you to try to look at your business through each one of those lenses as objectively as possible.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: just do yourself a favor and take five minutes and think about each one of those, see what you come up with.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't think there's anything that could be said after that, I think that was pretty much it.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've got my job moment there.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Um, guys, it's our mission.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, obviously, we've got this podcast.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know why this episode 730 something maybe.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: So take from Zack's advice, spend five minutes on each of those versions of your gym.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do it with as little emotion as possible and look at it objectively.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then see your areas of opportunity.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just the cobwebs and the the cleanliness.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: It could be the way that you do your onboarding.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: It could be the way you host a
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: your sales consultations.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: It could be the way you nurture and in steered leads to the next step in the journey.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: All of these things matter and if you don't have the level of intentionality around each of those, you're probably just mailing in some of those.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so spend the time.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you need help, that's what we're here for.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: There's a link in the show notes.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll leave you with that until next episode.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Keep changing lives.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see you in the next one.
