- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, I am coming to you from my couch today.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I am just doing so so bad.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm delulu right now in the head doing a podcast on my couch while I'm literally feeling like shit.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: You could probably hear my dogs in the background.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: They're right next to me.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I tried to get them to move, but they didn't want to.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: They want to be glued right next to me.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Um because obviously they don't know that I'm working, but yeah, they just want to be with their mom.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: It's currently 8 30 in the morning.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Um, I taught this morning at 6 and 7 a.m.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: And I had to call in some subs because wow, my cramps, my period is like beating the crap out of me.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Seriously, like beating my ass right now.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I have had the worst cramps for the past three days.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Right now, I have a headache.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I just feel completely like shit.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And why am I here?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Why like why am I doing this podcast?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Because I want to stay consistent.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: So it's probably gonna be a very, very short podcast.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, but I've been on such a streak and I don't want to ruin it because I mean, I don't know, I feel really good about it, and also because I really like doing the podcast.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: This is probably one of my favorite parts about my business.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I don't want to break the streak because I have a really good streak going.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: This is episode 12, and wow, like we have been so consistent from the very, very beginning, and I don't want to break it.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: So here I am, suffering on the couch, trying to pump out an episode.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I also didn't sleep very well today because my promps were so bad that I kept waking up throughout the night.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: It was just terrible.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: I just feel terrible.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: But anyways, um I originally had a completely different episode planned for today, but you know what?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I think today we talk about consistency because look at me being consistent as fuck right now.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Even when I could probably just be taking the rest of the day off and resting and recovering from womanhood, but here I am putting in the reps, and I feel like one thing that fitness has taught me is consistency, and because I've been able to master consistency in fitness, I feel like I've been able to master it in other parts of my life as well.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: For example, this podcast.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I've been consistent since the start, and that's probably not something I would have been able to do if I didn't already build that strong foundation of consistency throughout my fitness journey.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I feel like once you've mastered consistency in one area, oh my god, try to say consistent consistency three times really fast.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: That's like really hard.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: But once you master consistency in one really, really, really hard area of life, for example, fitness.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, for me now, fitness is easy, but it wasn't always like this, and the way you get good at it is by putting in the reps, like ha lol pun right there, right?
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But actually putting in the reps, doing it every single day, even when you don't feel like it, that is how you get good at it, and like I said, once you have mastered one area consistency in one area, I can't even say that word anymore.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Once you've mastered it in one area, I feel like it just starts to trickle into other areas of your life.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: For example, fitness was like the first one for me, right?
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I feel like I have it down really well there, and the reason I've been able to stay so consistent with my podcast is because I've mastered it in one area and trickles into other areas of my life.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Podcast.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's also trickled into my business because my business, I put in the reps every single day.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty consistent with my content.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Like you see me every fucking week on there, you see me every week on Instagram.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: I'm consistently in my DMs.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I talk to you guys like all the time.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I probably talk to a lot of you guys like once a week.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Slay, because I love building my community and I love talking to you guys.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: So yeah, don't be afraid to DM me because I always respond.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: You consistently see me on stories all the time.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: I'm always posting like about my day or stuff about clients or anything about coaching, about my dogs, the things that I'm eating, or things that I've tried.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, I'm pretty consistent on social media.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I'm consistent on my podcast, consistent with my fitness journey, but I'm not always consistent in everything.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie, like I'm definitely not perfect.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Try to tell me to stay consistent with cleaning my apartment, and yeah, I'm immediately going to fail.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: It's just like not something that comes first in life.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: It's not my first priority, but I will get there, okay?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I I definitely will.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, we're not perfect right now, but I'm hoping that my consistency will trickle into that area of my life.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: I'm very consistent with eating really healthy.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: I'm very consistent with eating healthy, cooking healthy meals.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: I'm super consistent with tracking my macros, with getting all my protein in.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: But am I consistent with making my bed every morning?
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: No.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: I I wish I was one of those people, but I wake up too fucking early and the last thing I want to do is make my bed in the morning.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: But it's okay because I let my husband do it instead.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Anyways, there's obviously always room for growth, and there's always things that you can be better at, but I feel like once you have mastered consistency in one area, it starts to trickle into other areas of your life, even if you don't see it immediately, it's kind of like a slow, gradual change.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: But that's why I feel like it's important to start with consistency in the gym because I feel like going to the gym, lifting heavy weights, it's such a I don't know, like therapeutic thing to do, but also it's such a hard thing to do that it really challenges both your body and your mind.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And I feel like once you've you're able to master doing something like that consistently, like doing something like challenging both your brain and your body every day, it just pushes you to become a better person in other areas, and I'm sure you could do this with any other kind of like hobby or skill or whatever, but for me personally, I feel like mastering this in the gym is what made me a better person overall.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: I feel like there's just something about the challenge of health, especially here.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, especially here in the US, where like literally temptation is everywhere.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: There's so much junk food everywhere, like our ingredients are shit, there's alcohol everywhere, our portions are crazy huge.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: There's just temptation everywhere, everywhere, everywhere to live such an unhealthy lifestyle that I feel like once you've mastered health, once you've mastered how to say no to people, how to set boundaries, like when somebody offers you another drink or offers you another plate or whatever, once you've been able to say no, once you've been able to set boundaries, once you've been able to like actually take care of your body and change it.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's when you really know that the gym has changed you mentally.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Because it changes the way that you think, it changes the way that you behave, and it changes the way that you see yourself.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I just I really love what the gym does for your brain, for your mind.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: I feel like it builds mental strength in a way that nothing else can.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this is built through being consistent in the gym.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: I'm a little bit delulu right now because my head is really hurting and because I'm on my period, so I really hope all of that just made sense.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: I hope it did.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Please let me know if it didn't, but I don't know.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: I just feel very passionate about how the gym changes you as a person mentally and physically, obviously, but like a lot of times your fitness journey is just mental.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: And I wish more people understood that.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Um this is what I teach my clients a lot about, by the way, in my coaching program.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: We go over like your why, like, why are you doing this, and like self-sabotage, or like building better habits and stuff like that.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Because I really do feel like a lot of the times what stops us in fitness is our mind.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: It's like the way that we think, or being in a fixed mindset, or trying to convince ourselves that we can't do something when in reality we can.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Because you can do whatever you set your mind to.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: You can do anything you want in this world.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: I know that might sound cheesy, but it's the truth.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: I once again hope that this all made sense.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: I am very doolulou right now.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Think I might be running a fever.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: But as always, I hope you learned something today, and I hope you have a beautiful day.
