Transcript
- 0:02Well, friends, it's Monday, and on the docket today is the case
- 0:07of the murder of Judge Kevin Mullins, the Kentucky judge who
- 0:12was murdered in his chambers by none other than his bailiff,
- 0:18former bailiff and Sheriff Mickey Stein's.
- 0:22You know, about a year ago I had on this very program a guest who
- 0:27said if there's one, there's 30. And I think in in Judge Mullins
- 0:33case with more and more people coming out of the woodwork with
- 0:36accusations of impropriety, when there's one, there's 300.
- 0:42Stick with me. This video contains mature
- 0:57themes and discussions intended only for adult audiences.
- 1:00Viewer discretion is advised. Welcome back, my friend.
- 1:06Thank you very much for joining me.
- 1:07My name is Gavin. This is another true crime
- 1:10conversation here on my channel. A channel where we like to cut
- 1:14through the fluff and the sensationalism and true crime
- 1:16and get down to the nitty gritty.
- 1:18But I'm telling you, this case makes it hard.
- 1:21There is so much sensationalism around this case.
- 1:24But you know what there also is, there is also really good
- 1:27reporting. And this time Brian Enton has
- 1:32done some very good reporting. And that's not surprising,
- 1:36right? Brian Enton does very good
- 1:38reporting wherever he goes. And we're going to watch about
- 1:43what is it about? It's about an 8 minute, 8 1/2
- 1:49minute clip of an interview that he did he published to YouTube
- 1:53today. I put a link in.
- 1:55Oh, I hope I put a link in the description down below.
- 1:57If I haven't, I will. But before we get into that,
- 2:02let's just talk a little bit about this case, OK?
- 2:06Back in September, Judge Kevin Mullins, here's a photo of him
- 2:10here was shot to death by Sean Mickey Stein's.
- 2:16He did it in the judge's chambers on video, and I think
- 2:22we've done 434445 videos on this case because there's just so
- 2:27much that comes out. If you have not seen everything,
- 2:32go over to my website. Let me see if I got the website
- 2:35up. Yeah, if you go over to the
- 2:36website. Oh, you know what?
- 2:38I don't think I have a case page for Judge Mullins.
- 2:41I need to do that. Yeah, I don't.
- 2:44I don't have a case page for Judge Mullins, but there's tons
- 2:47of awesome case pages over there.
- 2:50But basically, this is what happened.
- 2:51Just as a very quick summary. OK, this, this is Mickey Steins
- 2:57right here. He had a deputy sheriff, a guy
- 3:01named Ben Fields. Ben Fields, while working for
- 3:04the sheriff, was also the bailiff of the Letcher County,
- 3:08Kentucky District Court. Now that nothing about that was
- 3:15improper that I mean, Mickey Steins was a sheriff and was
- 3:20Judge Mullins bailiff for a long time.
- 3:23But what, what started to be improper or started I what what
- 3:29became improper is that this guy, Ben Fields, was the guy
- 3:34that was in charge of the ankle monitors for people in the jail
- 3:42in Letcher County Jail, which is in the courthouse basement here.
- 3:47If they got on some type of house arrest or, you know,
- 3:52probation that or whatever that required these ankle monitors
- 3:56for monitoring their location, Mr. Fields was the guy that
- 4:01would put on the monitors and, and would, I guess basically
- 4:07oversee that system. Now Mr. Fields and, and it kind
- 4:12of feels like it wasn't kind of, it totally feels like it wasn't
- 4:17just him. I mean, it was Mickey Stein's
- 4:19before him who, who was the ankle monitor guy.
- 4:23But Mr. Fields started talking to the women inside the Letcher
- 4:28County Jail as he was putting on their ankle monitors.
- 4:31He was saying, you know, we could make it easy on you and
- 4:37started to convince these women. And it was well known within the
- 4:42jail that if you traded sexual favors, you would be you would
- 4:45get favorable treatment on the monitor program.
- 4:48In some cases he would just give them the monitor to carry around
- 4:51in their purse or whatever. Anyway, Mr. Fields was
- 5:00eventually there were two women, one woman named Sabrina Adkins,
- 5:06one woman woman named Jennifer Hill, who and Ms. Hill has sadly
- 5:12passed. Jennifer Adkins is still still
- 5:17around and part of this, but she filed a federal lawsuit against
- 5:22Mr. Fields and against Mickey Stein's as the sheriff, saying
- 5:27that he should have known what Mr. Fields was doing.
- 5:29Basically, he was essaying them, right?
- 5:31He was doing terrible, more terrible things.
- 5:34If if they would not do what it was that he wanted, he would
- 5:39report them as absconders and it would make it worse for them.
- 5:43So, I mean, this was, this was a very corrupt, very gross,
- 5:48disgusting system going on down in Letcher County.
- 5:51Well, anyway, when Sabrina Adkins and Jennifer Hill filed
- 5:54their lawsuit, Mickey Stein's was deposed.
- 6:00He was deposed on a Monday and then the following Thursday, his
- 6:06lawyers say, and he has said through his lawyers that he was
- 6:10worried about his wife and daughter's safety.
- 6:14He full on goes in and kills the judge.
- 6:17OK, and we've covered this. You can see my old videos on it.
- 6:20You can see all the stuff that that I've done on this case,
- 6:24right? But nine shots he put in to the
- 6:27judge. Kevin Mullins is now deceased.
- 6:31OK, so that brings us to, I mean, it brings us to so much,
- 6:37but that's the background on the case.
- 6:38Oh, by the way, I should tell you guys, tell me where you're
- 6:41from in the chat. I want to see where everybody is
- 6:43from. Check in, put AGF in your
- 6:45comment. Let me let me see where you're
- 6:47from. OK.
- 6:49All right, now that we've got that background out of the way,
- 6:54let's talk about Judge Mullins. OK, I'm going to pause this.
- 6:58I just want to this picture. No, let's just stay on this one,
- 7:03OK? If, if you believe what several
- 7:10women have said, Judge Mullins, even back when he was working in
- 7:15the prosecutor's office, when he was a lowly lawyer, he, he was
- 7:23already kind of engaging according to these women and
- 7:27this kind of behavior. OK, So I guess what has happened
- 7:33since, what I should say, since Judge Mullins has died, there
- 7:39have been multiple women, some that have that have gone public,
- 7:44some that have come directly to me, some that have talked to
- 7:49Elizabeth Jones and others. They are saying no, this is what
- 7:55Kevin Mullins did. He he was involved in this from
- 7:58the very beginning. It wasn't just Ben Fields.
- 8:01In fact, Sabrina Adkins in her in her proffer to the Kentucky
- 8:09State attorney general's investigator, she said she had
- 8:14seen a video. She said she had seen a video of
- 8:17Judge Mullins having sex with a woman in his chambers.
- 8:22And if you guys will remember Lila Stein's, we went over this
- 8:27video. Let me just play this real
- 8:28quick. We go to the beginning here.
- 8:31I won't play the whole thing. It's only a minute long, but I
- 8:33won't play the whole thing. Listen to what Lila Stein says.
- 8:35She's the daughter of Mickey. Stein We believe there are some
- 8:39inappropriate videos, text messages and other pieces of
- 8:43evidence that could really help my dad.
- 8:45OK, so this is this is what she's talking about.
- 8:50I believe she's talking about the same thing that Sabrina
- 8:53Atkins is saying same thing that other women have told me that
- 8:58they have seen a video or videos of Kevin Mullins having sex in
- 9:05his in his chambers with women who were who were in a position
- 9:14of lesser power, which makes it institutional essay, right?
- 9:18OK, let that brings us to Brian it.
- 9:22Let's see before let me just check in on you guys, see what
- 9:24you're saying real quick. We got New Jersey in the house.
- 9:28Awesome. Zach is from New Jersey, Devon
- 9:33in the UK very cool. We got Las Vegas in the house,
- 9:37Central Kentucky striving for Titus.
- 9:40Two grew up in Letcher County. We got Georgia.
- 9:43We got North Palm Beach FL, Jacksonville FL, Colorado, North
- 9:47Carolina, oh real quick Raymond Godfrey says defense attorney 15
- 9:54years in North Carolina and my gut tells me Stein's walks due
- 9:57to multiple hung juries. Whoo I wonder, I wonder your gut
- 10:04is going to tell you better than my gut will I?
- 10:06Anytime I cover a case I have no idea what the jury's going to
- 10:11do. Great comment.
- 10:12Boston, MA from Georgia living in Indiana, let's see Virginia,
- 10:20North Carolina. Let's see Louisville now in
- 10:26Maryville, TN in Kokomo, IN or 27 years in Kokomo, Erie, PA.
- 10:35You are my fellow western Pennsylvanian, Floyd County,
- 10:39Kentucky. We got some Kentuckians with us
- 10:41tonight. North Carolina.
- 10:44Kel. Again.
- 10:46I'm. I'm calling shenanigans on that
- 10:47name. OK, you told me that it's real.
- 10:51But Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia.
- 10:54You reckon I made that up? There is a tiny community near
- 10:57us called Caracara Gamanji. I've done workshops there.
- 11:03Well, it better be a workshop on how to pronounce that name.
- 11:06Kel. That's funny.
- 11:08Texas. Virginia, Ohio.
- 11:10Delaware, Texas, Very cool. Thank you.
- 11:13Thank you guys for joining. I'm glad that so many of you are
- 11:16here in the chat with me. OK, so this brings us now over
- 11:21to this video from Brian. And then this is the sum total
- 11:25of the content that I want to go over with you guys, about 8 1/2
- 11:28minutes long, but I would like to hear your take on things.
- 11:33And before I do, let me tell you, when I shared this, I mean,
- 11:39I saw it before Elizabeth. Normally she sees stuff before
- 11:42me, but when I shared it with Elizabeth Jones from Hillbilly
- 11:47Crime earlier today, she said I just watched it all.
- 11:51I believed her every word. That was a great interview.
- 11:54And I think later on this week I'll be joining Elizabeth on her
- 11:58channel to go over this as well. Okey Dokey, Let's see what Brian
- 12:04has to say. Let me because it does some
- 12:07weird things here. Let me just make sure.
- 12:10Here we go. New interview with a woman named
- 12:12Jamie Rayburn. She again lived in Letcher
- 12:15County. She was in and out of jail along
- 12:18with many others in her family. And she talks about their
- 12:22history with the judge and also with the sheriff.
- 12:25Like how did you first meet? So her name is Jamie Rayburn.
- 12:30She's putting her face out there, which I think is super
- 12:32brave. Guys, I think it's amazing there
- 12:37was another woman who did it to Ty Adams that I mean, these are,
- 12:41these are brave, brave people in addition to the heroes of
- 12:46Jennifer Adkins. I'm sorry, Sabrina Adkins and
- 12:48Jennifer. Hill, All right, the judge.
- 12:52So I actually my first encounter was when I was a juvenile, which
- 12:56it wasn't nothing out of the ordinary because like I had to
- 13:00go, I was put on like a juvenile probation and then I went to
- 13:04juvie. This is so funny to me and, and
- 13:08I'm sorry to be judgy about this, but I'm, I'm kind of judgy
- 13:11about this in my own circle of associations.
- 13:13No, it's just normal. It's very normal.
- 13:15I was a juvenile offender and I went to juvie.
- 13:17Nothing out of the ordinary. I don't think you understand
- 13:21what the ordinary is, and probably it's not your fault.
- 13:26So then later on in life when I become of age, I I was on drugs
- 13:33and stuff and I ended up doing some time in jail.
- 13:36And in 2019 I went and decided to get clean and go through the
- 13:41art program. And he kind of personally
- 13:44reached out to me within those times, like helping me tell me
- 13:49he was proud and stuff. But then an indication that kind
- 13:52of alarmed me to know that all the rumors I heard my whole life
- 13:56about him is he invited me to the seminar in March of 2021, a
- 14:01drug seminar while I was in rehab, basically to tell a
- 14:05little bit of like my story. And he was just trying to like,
- 14:08I guess make me like a poacher child.
- 14:10I don't know. But he.
- 14:12You know what this is this this did strike me.
- 14:16She she talks about it just a little bit here.
- 14:18It's not very long where she's talking about this experience,
- 14:20but she's like. But all of the rumors that I had
- 14:24heard, I found out were true when while I was in rehab, Judge
- 14:30Mullins invited me to go to a seminar to hold up as his poster
- 14:36child of success. She had heard the rumors before.
- 14:41I have heard several rumors like this where women have said,
- 14:46yeah, they were invited to go on the road.
- 14:50Yeah. He's.
- 14:51Just trying to share my story and stuff.
- 14:53But he was just very weird during that.
- 14:56Like before, he was just very inappropriate, you know, to me.
- 15:01Like like what happened? Did it?
- 15:03Was he calling? Yeah, he just told me, like, if
- 15:07I ever needed anything, just to come to his chambers, like, if I
- 15:09ever got in trouble, that, you know, I could come and talk to
- 15:13him, you know? But like, US women know what
- 15:16that means, you know what I'm saying?
- 15:19And he just made me feel very uncomfortable.
- 15:21He just looked at me like a dog. But most of.
- 15:25Hey, listen, sweetie, if you're, if you're ever in trouble, just
- 15:28come to my chambers. What judge, what judge does that
- 15:35guys, that is that is not, that is not OK.
- 15:40It's just not OK if that happened.
- 15:42Not OK. I and she's telling the same
- 15:46kind of story that many women have already told.
- 15:49And I feel like, you know, where there's smoke, there's fire.
- 15:53Usually works that way, right? A a judge should not be doing
- 15:59that. Hey, if you are ever in trouble,
- 16:02come on over to my chambers. No, that's creepy.
- 16:05It's gross. No, if I'm ever in trouble, I'll
- 16:08be in jail and I will get an attorney.
- 16:10I won't go to the judge's chambers.
- 16:12So yeah, he's just trying to lure her in.
- 16:14But this is what I think anyway, trying to lure her in to take
- 16:19advantage of her, which is institutional essay.
- 16:23My story is my mom too, you know, That's why I was reaching
- 16:28out because my mom had a lot. She's no longer here anymore,
- 16:33but my mom had the sexual stuff with him and all that.
- 16:40Did when you say she's not here, did did she pass away or?
- 16:44Yes, actually, she passed. She done a lot of jail time.
- 16:48She was actually a drug addict, but she actually passed away.
- 16:51She didn't even get to come home.
- 16:53The jail, the Lecture County jail didn't take care of her at
- 16:57all while she was sick. But like the beginning of like
- 17:02her drug, like she used to go have sex with a judge to get out
- 17:06of trouble. I remember she got my dad in
- 17:09some very big trouble. She went and had sex with the
- 17:11judge. You know, when people are on
- 17:13drugs, they're so numb and you know, people don't like going to
- 17:16jail and stuff. I don't.
- 17:17I mean, I'm sure it upset her about, you know, from all the
- 17:21drugs and all the abuse and trauma that my mom went through,
- 17:25like she was not in the. You know what's shocking to me
- 17:28when I, when I listen to these kinds of accounts, and there
- 17:32have been, I mean, I in my little area of Western
- 17:38Pennsylvania, I've been interviewing a lot of people
- 17:42because of a perception and a belief by me that there is this
- 17:48kind of stuff happening in my local jail, one of my local
- 17:51jails. And I will sit down and I will
- 17:55talk with women and sometimes men who have spent some time in
- 18:00that jail who have stories to talk about the jail.
- 18:03And they just kind of, and it maybe it's a defense mechanism
- 18:07or something like that, but they just kind of like kind of gloss
- 18:10over it. Yeah.
- 18:11So, you know, I had sex with them and it's just like you're
- 18:17like sitting there listening and going, Oh my goodness, you were
- 18:20just R worded. You were just telling me about
- 18:23the time when a corrections officer essayed you.
- 18:28And they just, they just tell it like it's just part of what it
- 18:32is. And I think it's because the the
- 18:34just sheer quantity of issues that they have throughout their
- 18:39lives and the amount of times they're taken advantage of and
- 18:44abused and the number of times that they they see others having
- 18:51the same kind of experience or they have or other people tell
- 18:55them of those kinds of experience, It just becomes part
- 18:58of regular life. And so, you know, she's talking
- 19:01about her own mother being essayed by, I think she means
- 19:06Judge Mullins when she says the judge over and over and over
- 19:11again so that she can stay out of jail.
- 19:14And she's just, I mean, obviously she's like, Jamie's a
- 19:19hero here. She's talking to Brian and, and,
- 19:22you know, telling him what happened.
- 19:26But it's just shocking to me. Or it is maybe not shocking.
- 19:32It it it deeply affects me when I hear stories like this just
- 19:39spoken so matter of factly, so nonchalantly.
- 19:43It's just. Yeah.
- 19:44All right. Let me continue.
- 19:46State of mind at all? She was very traumatized from a
- 19:52lot of stuff that has been done to her.
- 19:53I do know that my grandparents actually raised me so like my
- 19:58mom was in and out of my life a lot too when I was younger.
- 20:02How well known was it that you know if you had sex with the
- 20:06judge you could get out of things?
- 20:09Very well known, like every girl, like everybody knows that
- 20:13even with lawyers too. It's not just the judges, it's
- 20:17like a lot of people that's done this for years.
- 20:22Let me just pause it there again.
- 20:24His question was how well known is it?
- 20:28Yeah, it's, it's just well known and it makes me wonder.
- 20:33So I think it's probably well known in certain parts of the
- 20:40community, right? Amongst those that are in and
- 20:44out of jail, amongst those that are addicted to drugs, amongst
- 20:47those that are the interface with the, you know, the, the
- 20:53judicial system in the county, it's probably very well known.
- 20:57And that's not a little chunk of the county, that's a lot of
- 21:00people. But amongst the normal people
- 21:08that are that would never say, oh, you know, my life was
- 21:12normal. I went to juvie amongst those
- 21:16people, they probably didn't know or they wouldn't believe
- 21:21it, you know, because it's very easy to minimize the, the
- 21:26testimony of people who you don't find credible because you
- 21:32know, like it or not, as human creatures, we are designed to
- 21:36make judgment calls and those judgment calls require us to
- 21:44take in facts, weigh the credibility of the witnesses.
- 21:47I'm talking in our everyday life, right?
- 21:50If, if my teacher says that my son was misbehaving in 4th grade
- 21:55and I go to my son, say, were you misbehaving in 4th grade?
- 21:58And he kind of does one of these things.
- 22:01No, then I judge him to not be credible, right?
- 22:06Like these are things that we do all the time.
- 22:09And unfortunately, I think that many of us outside of the
- 22:17community where so much of this abuse happens, we don't we don't
- 22:23judge the witnesses to be credible.
- 22:26And I think, I mean, I, I don't think that's exactly wrong.
- 22:36Like I, I don't think that that's, I think that that's a
- 22:39natural thing. But when the evidence starts to
- 22:43pile up, when many people start to say the exact same thing, you
- 22:48can't, you can't ignore that. So, yeah, it was well known.
- 22:54I'm sure within the circles of the the people who had been
- 23:00victims and who would be victims, everybody else, they
- 23:03probably just, I don't think they all just ignored it.
- 23:07I think many of them just didn't believe it.
- 23:10Like it's been over decades that this stuff has really been going
- 23:13on with my memo. Yes.
- 23:16Because like, I know this sounds weird and stuff.
- 23:19I was needing to get an expungement and my memo was
- 23:25really trying to put me up to go see Judge Moore just to get me.
- 23:28I think when she says Mamma, she's talking about her
- 23:30grandmother. Out of my expungement, but
- 23:34families know that stuff too. I don't know if all families do
- 23:38that with their kids, but I mean, like, my memo was trying
- 23:42to get me just so I could, you know, have a better life and
- 23:45stuff. Like families are aware of this
- 23:47stuff now. I don't know if they've ever,
- 23:50you know, put them up to do stuff like that, but from my
- 23:53personal experience, like, yeah. What would your man Ma say?
- 24:01She'd just be like, oh, you just need to go see Kevin loans and
- 24:05he'll fix it for you. You just need to go down there
- 24:07and see and stuff. Like I, she knew, she knew I
- 24:11didn't want to go and she knew that I could go.
- 24:15You know, I really try to keep like I'm only 29.
- 24:20I've been in a lot. Like I've, I've lived a hard
- 24:24live and I really tried to not do bad anymore, you know.
- 24:29So that's kind of why I never like after rehab and all that.
- 24:33Like that's why I never really went back because I don't really
- 24:38want to live like that no more, you know?
- 24:41With the drugs, like so many people it seems like in that
- 24:44area have had issues with drugs. Like how do you describe it?
- 24:48Like how do people get sucked in?
- 24:53It's a very small area. There isn't nothing to do.
- 24:57You really have to have an education to even have any money
- 25:01there. You know, the coal mines used to
- 25:03be like a lot of income for people back in the day.
- 25:07But I think people get sucked into it because there's nothing
- 25:10to do. It's very small and you know,
- 25:16generational curses, families do it.
- 25:18You know, moms and dads there do kids drugs with their kids
- 25:21there. It's just crap.
- 25:23It's crazy. So I just think that it's just a
- 25:27lot of nothing to do there, families just not knowing any
- 25:32better to do, just nothing to do there.
- 25:35What do you mean by general? You know, this is the kind of
- 25:38thing that I've heard this argument a lot before.
- 25:42The first part of my life was spent in a town of 200 and if
- 25:46granted, I was a little kid, I wasn't like a teenager trying
- 25:48to, trying to find something to to do, though I would go back in
- 25:55the summers and in the, you know, in, in over Christmas
- 26:00break and stuff like that. I don't buy the whole, there's
- 26:03nothing to do in a small place. I live in a small place now.
- 26:08It's not much bigger than Electric County and there's
- 26:11plenty to do. There's plenty to do besides
- 26:15drinking and doing drugs. I think what happens is that
- 26:20the, it, it spreads like a disease.
- 26:24You know, when I was, when I was looking at the Amanda Winkowski
- 26:28case, you know, this is a, this is a girl that got addicted to
- 26:34heroin and started engaging in all of the different crimes that
- 26:40are required in order to feed that addiction.
- 26:43It was somebody gave her a pill at a party.
- 26:47And, and, and the like, the thing about it is once you're,
- 26:52once you're in, you're in and it only takes once with that stuff.
- 26:57So I, I think, I think it, it spreads almost exponentially,
- 27:02right? So one person gets in and they
- 27:04get two people in, then each of them get two people in.
- 27:08You know, it just, and it just spreads like wildfire.
- 27:11And the the problem with it is, is that it is an addiction that
- 27:17it's so, so, so hard to kick once you are addicted.
- 27:22And that addiction only requires one experience.
- 27:27So I don't think it's really is you have nothing to do.
- 27:30I think it's that there's peer pressure involved.
- 27:33I think I think there's a real I mean, we're not going to solve
- 27:37the problems of the world here, but I just think that it one
- 27:41person, you know, in those coal mining towns, people, people
- 27:47were prescribed these medicines to deal with their pain and
- 27:51being told that it was non addictive.
- 27:53So you could take as much as you want.
- 27:56Doctors would up the prescriptions.
- 27:57I mean, guys watch dope sick, right that that's that's a
- 28:01perfect. You know, it's a fictionalized
- 28:09true story basically, right? So a lot of these coal mining
- 28:15towns in in Appalachia, they were sold a bill of goods from
- 28:21their doctors. They got addicted.
- 28:25They start doing drugs in front of their families, in front of
- 28:27their kids. And pretty soon it just, it's
- 28:31just like dominoes. So, yeah, I, I respect what
- 28:36she's saying. I appreciate that she is saying,
- 28:38I don't think it's that there's nothing to do.
- 28:40I think that it's just an epidemic that rolls through and
- 28:44gets it catches so many people in that epidemic.
- 28:47Rational curses. I'm just feel like, so I'm
- 28:52really big in my faith. I'm not going to say like I'm a
- 28:55Christian. I am a Christian, but I have a
- 28:58bigger relationship with God then whatever.
- 29:01So I just think that there's a lot of generational curses
- 29:04there. You know, a lot of my story, my
- 29:08mom and dad both done drugs with me.
- 29:11They weren't very, they weren't very motherly or fatherly to me.
- 29:16So that's a lot of what happens back there.
- 29:19I just think that it just goes back and I just think my
- 29:25generation is cursed a little bit.
- 29:28I know that sounds crazy, but that stuff is real.
- 29:33So you have people actually do drugs with their parents.
- 29:38Yes. You did that.
- 29:40Yes. I guess it's hard to know right
- 29:44from wrong then if you're doing it with your, you know.
- 29:47That is just so hurtful to even think about.
- 29:49It's just so hurtful to even think about.
- 29:53I mean, again, and this is not to explain it away, but I guess
- 29:58when you're in just just rather than explaining it away, I'm
- 30:02just trying to understand it, right.
- 30:03I guess when you're in the throes of that sickness.
- 30:08Yeah, I think your ethics, your morals kind of have to take a
- 30:11back seat to to your need, right?
- 30:15Your need for the next high. But yeah, talk about like,
- 30:20sorry, I keep going back to Amanda Wenkowski.
- 30:22But when I talked to Amanda Wenkowski's former boyfriend,
- 30:28and he was the one who gave her her first pill and I was able to
- 30:35talk to him about it, right, He told me all about it, said it
- 30:39still keeps him up at night, that he is the person that got
- 30:42her addicted. Can you imagine doing that to
- 30:45your own child? Wow.
- 30:48Yeah, like, well, I grew up seeing my mom and dad do it my
- 30:51whole life. So I was like, well, if my mom
- 30:52and dad's doing that, what, you know, it's OK for me to do it.
- 30:57My Mama and Papa did raise me right.
- 30:59Like my mom and Papa were very successful.
- 31:01They raised me with right morals, but it didn't.
- 31:07Sort of. I mean, you just told us that
- 31:09your Mama told you go down to see Kevin Mullins.
- 31:12Basically she was saying go have sex with Kevin Mullins.
- 31:15Your problems will go away. Did your grandparents have great
- 31:18morals? I don't know, but you know,
- 31:22exhibit A is is not convincing me that that they did.
- 31:26Till the void of them being my mom and dad.
- 31:28So it made me very rebellious and and then I thought that, you
- 31:34know, I started doing drugs when I was 16.
- 31:37That's when my grandmother let me start kind of having a
- 31:38relationship with my mom because she knew that it was hard on me
- 31:42all these years without her and like.
- 31:47So her grandma goes. You needed You have had a hard
- 31:50time not having a relationship with your mom.
- 31:53Let's let you have a relationship with your mom.
- 31:55Boom, she's doing drugs. OK, that's exhibit B.
- 31:59I'm sorry. Sorry.
- 32:01That's exhibit B on Mama. Started doing drugs with her
- 32:04because I thought like, well maybe she might love me now.
- 32:07I don't know, it's just weird. What kind of drugs?
- 32:11At first it started out like his drinking weed and then pills
- 32:15like Xanax is pain pills. I got on suboxone really bad.
- 32:19I did abuse that at 1st and then by the time I was 18 meth
- 32:25started coming in the area and that that thank God I didn't get
- 32:31on. No fentanyl or anything.
- 32:33I went to rehab before that stuff came there, but weed, it
- 32:38was alcohol, weed, pills and then meth.
- 32:42Did you and all of it together? Did you ever know the sheriff?
- 32:48Sheriff Stein's yes. Mickey, yes, he was actually the
- 32:53bailiff for like 20 years in Kevin's court.
- 32:57He was a very good man. This is what this is another
- 33:01indication like this is the reason that the Bartleys, who
- 33:06are the attorneys for Mickey Stein's, this is the reason that
- 33:09the Bartleys want to keep this trial in Letcher County and
- 33:13probably the exact same reason the prosecution want it out of
- 33:17Letcher County. Did you hear what she said?
- 33:19Yeah. Kevin or not Kevin?
- 33:21Mickey. Yeah, I knew him.
- 33:22He was the bailiff for a lot forever.
- 33:24And yeah, he's a good man, you know?
- 33:29Do you think when you heard that he shot the judge?
- 33:32I didn't. I thought he was going, losing
- 33:34his mind. I didn't know what was going on.
- 33:37That is the end of of that segment.
- 33:40Kudos to Brian and and to his to his producers and to his team
- 33:48for getting that interview. That was very, very well done.
- 33:52Very. It's not like he needs my
- 33:56praise, but but pretty impressive.
- 33:59Pretty impressive. OK, let's go over to see what
- 34:03you guys are saying. It doesn't look like you're
- 34:04talking too much over here. So this might, this might not
- 34:08last very long. Kel says.
- 34:12I've noticed this way of glossing over things is common
- 34:14for people who've suffered long term abuse.
- 34:16It's a dissociative thing. Protection.
- 34:18Yeah, Maybe that's all it is. Maybe it's just that they don't
- 34:21want to think about it. We'll just move along, get our
- 34:24minds off of it. Right.
- 34:26And this is so interesting. This case is so fascinating
- 34:29because Kevin Mullins is the victim of a murder.
- 34:33He was shot and killed on camera by Mickey Stein's.
- 34:38Also, it appears that he's kind of the boogeyman that he is, the
- 34:43guy that has been victimizing, I think, exclusively women.
- 34:49But what do I know? For years and years and years.
- 34:55That makes him the perp, right? The victim is also the perp.
- 35:01So crazy. Zach.
- 35:04Hey, Zach. It is good to see you.
- 35:06Says been a while since I caught a live busy boy.
- 35:09Very happy. Happy to see you haven't let
- 35:10this case go. Evil needs to be exposed.
- 35:13Thank you, Zach. Yeah, I'm not going to let this
- 35:15one go. Awake, girly.
- 35:18Gavin, where are the high profile lawyers like Gloria
- 35:20Allred to come in and represent these women?
- 35:23This runs deep. Thanks for covering this.
- 35:24What a terrific question. Let me tell you the cynical
- 35:28answer. I don't have a synic cap.
- 35:31I have a skeptical cap behind me.
- 35:34You guys see that beautiful skeptical hat right there?
- 35:36That bowler. This is my synic hat.
- 35:39OK? High profile and powerful
- 35:42lawyers like Gloria Allred take cases because it raises their
- 35:47profile and makes them more powerful, not primarily because
- 35:53they care about their client. I think they do care about their
- 35:56clients. I mean, they're not, they're not
- 35:59automatons, but primarily it's they do it to raise their
- 36:06profile and increase their power.
- 36:08I think that's the cynic in me. OK, not just Gloria Allred, but
- 36:13high power attorneys like her for sure.
- 36:17If this case made it to prime time network television, I
- 36:25guarantee you we would see Gloria Allred sitting next to
- 36:28Sabrina Atkins or, or, or this woman Jamie here.
- 36:34I guarantee you. But because it's only court TV
- 36:38and law and crime and YouTube, they're not, they're not around.
- 36:44They're not around. Hey, there was a question about
- 36:47expungement. TLC.
- 36:49Carol, do you guys know what expungement of a charge is?
- 36:52Yeah, expungement means basically that it never
- 36:56happened. It you have no more criminal
- 37:00record, it's it's expunged, it is deleted, it is extricated and
- 37:06and destroyed from the record as if you had never committed the
- 37:11crime and been convicted in the 1st place.
- 37:13And it's a good, it's a good tool for prosecutors to use for,
- 37:19you know, first time offenders and stuff like that.
- 37:21It's good. OK See if there's anything
- 37:28striving for Titus 2. If you're curious, read about
- 37:31the past few years in the surrounding counties.
- 37:33Yeah, I, I think all of Appalachia, all of all coming up
- 37:37into the Rust Belt. I think any, I, I live in a town
- 37:42that got hit in the 1990s by a huge drug epidemic and has not
- 37:49bounced back yet. So, you know, I'm fully aware of
- 37:56the kinds of stories that are happening here.
- 37:58I would imagine that they're happening all throughout
- 38:01Appalachia. Let's see if there are a couple
- 38:04of others before we go. Yeah, Mooney, let's not forget,
- 38:13regardless of what the judge did, Mickey didn't have the
- 38:15right to take his life. Of course, 100% money.
- 38:17And thanks for bringing that up. And that's why I say he's the
- 38:20victim, right? I mean, he was shot dead.
- 38:25No judge, jury, you know, got to got to see him or see evidence
- 38:32against him. Mickey just I think in a
- 38:36paranoid manic state. I think now it is it has not
- 38:42been proven true. It has been talked about, but I
- 38:46think he, in a weird manic state, did indeed kill the judge
- 38:55and did indeed, I mean, took his life and didn't, didn't have the
- 39:01right to do that. And that does make Kevin Mullins
- 39:04a victim. It's just what's funny is that I
- 39:08haven't heard any. I haven't heard stories about
- 39:12Mickey yet. So far, all I've heard is that
- 39:18Mickey was a good guy. I mean, we just heard it from
- 39:20Jamie here. Yeah, he's a good guy.
- 39:23He must have lost his mind, right?
- 39:26So and and is it, I mean, we know the defense is going to be
- 39:32a like an insanity defense. I'm curious if the kind of one
- 39:41of the components of that will be what Ned Pillarsdorf called a
- 39:46time to kill defense, right? Maybe like it, maybe it just
- 39:51made perfect sense in the mind of Mickey Stein's and maybe it
- 39:58maybe a jury would buy this, that it made sense in Mickey
- 40:01Stein's mind that that it was a time to kill.
- 40:09That's I don't know. I don't know, Mooney.
- 40:13Great, great, great comment. Love it.
- 40:17Mooney's one of our O GS and one of our amazing moderators by the
- 40:21way and reflections with Kimberly agrees with me also
- 40:28asked. So there's no dirt at all on
- 40:29Mickey, not that I have found or that anybody has brought to me.
- 40:34Now, having said that, let me let me come back over to my
- 40:39website for a second guys. If you go to my support me page,
- 40:45you will see there is a send a package link.
- 40:49You can send a package to PO Box one O 4 Franklin, PA 16323.
- 40:55If you have any dirt. Not that I'm like in the I'm,
- 41:00I'm not like TMZ here, but if you have any evidence that you
- 41:07want to anonymously get into the hands of somebody that can do
- 41:11something about it, you can send it there.
- 41:14There's also a Dropbox link in the description below.
- 41:18If you don't, if you don't care about being anonymous, OK, you
- 41:22can also reach out to me by clicking on this.
- 41:25Oh, while we're here, so many different ways to support me.
- 41:28One of the ways that you can support me is by supporting my
- 41:31moderator, Autumn, if you feel like it.
- 41:33And if you can please buy her coffee.
- 41:36But another way you can reach out to me is by clicking this
- 41:39little link up here and going to the contact me page and giving
- 41:43me information. OK, Now listen, if you give me
- 41:46information, it's got to be actionable information, OK?
- 41:52I you don't have to, but but I appreciate it if you would give
- 41:56me your name and number so that, so that we can talk or one of my
- 41:59volunteers can call or Elizabeth can call, OK, and, or e-mail or
- 42:04talk to you so that we can, we can help bring this stuff to
- 42:08light. But so far, Mickey, Mickey's
- 42:12been kind of in the clear. Sherry, though, says the sheriff
- 42:18knew everything that was going on.
- 42:20And that is what Sabrina Atkins and Jennifer Hill allege, right?
- 42:25They allege that that he either knew or should have known what
- 42:31was going on when Ben Fields was essaying these women.
- 42:35And at least one other that we know about, but probably many,
- 42:40many, many others. So very interesting.
- 42:48Let's see if reflections of Kimberly, I honest believe all
- 42:55victims who are criminals or not deserve justice.
- 42:57Yeah, I do, too. And that's one of those things
- 43:00where, you know, talking about one of the local jails out here
- 43:06in western Pennsylvania. I reached out to the prison
- 43:09board for comment on some allegations that were being
- 43:12made. And one of the members of the
- 43:15prison board goes, Gavin, listen, who's talking to you
- 43:18here? They're convicts.
- 43:21I know they are. It doesn't mean that it's
- 43:23untrue. And if it's true, that person is
- 43:28a victim, right? So yeah, I don't want to go in
- 43:34in circles on this, but I think I think we're all pretty much on
- 43:37the same page. If we're not, feel free to reach
- 43:39out and set me straight. I don't mind debate.
- 43:43I don't mind disagreement as long as it is not disagreeable.
- 43:51OK, we'll be back tomorrow night, 7:30 PM Eastern.
- 43:57I do guys. I do want to give you guys a
- 43:59heads up that I will not be. What day is that Next Wednesday
- 44:08is which is the 19th, is the 26th anniversary of the blessed
- 44:16nuptials of me with my snuggly bear, my 1:00 and all name my my
- 44:21sweetie pie Kimberly, and we are going.
- 44:26We're going out that night. So I won't be here on Wednesday
- 44:29the 19th, but I should be here all week this week unless
- 44:33something happens at work that requires me to to not be here.
- 44:39But that that's the exception, not the rule.
- 44:41OK, Remember that you can reach out to me and I wish you would
- 44:45through your website, gavinfish.com.
- 44:47There's a link down in the description below.
- 44:49Also, see this little fishy up in the corner?
- 44:51Click that. Join us over in the tank.
- 44:54Join us over in the tank. And that is where we hang out on
- 44:59Facebook and talk all things true crime.
- 45:03And you know what? Right now I am looking for more
- 45:09volunteers to admin for the fish tank, so if you have experience
- 45:13being a Facebook group moderator or administrator, I would love
- 45:19you to reach out. How do you do that, you ask?
- 45:23Right here, this little icon right here.
- 45:26And if you are interested in doing that, I would.
- 45:31I would welcome the help. I'll have one of my volunteers

- 46:09my I call it a dive San Cuando newsletter.
- 46:14It doesn't come out every day. It comes out once a week, twice
- 46:18a week, something like that. Whenever I have something to
- 46:20say. A couple final comments.
- 46:26Mason's Nana says everyone deserves justice.
- 46:29I agree. I agree.
- 46:32Tammy asks. Well, hello from North
- 46:34Mississippi. Glad you're here.
- 46:36When is Mickey's trial? It's been over a year.
- 46:38Hopefully these women are getting all, getting this all
- 46:41documented. I don't think his trial will be
- 46:44for at least another year, maybe 2.
- 46:47This, this one's a tough one. They're not going to push for a
- 46:49speedy trial. There's just so much.
- 46:52So we're going to keep our eyes on it.
- 46:54And maybe I can't remember who what, who said it before.
- 46:59Maybe this is one of those that has multiple trials, hung
- 47:03juries. He never gets convicted.
- 47:05It's possible, but we'll keep our finger on the pulse.
- 47:10Look for me on hillbilly crime sometime this week.
- 47:12I we haven't nailed it down, but we probably will do that in the
- 47:16next couple of days. And with that, guys, I think
- 47:19that's it. I bid you, I do you.
- 47:21Thank you very much for being here and I'll see you on the
- 47:24next one. Take care.
- 47:26Thank you very much for watching this video.
