- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:44Hi, Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:47hypnosis session that was created for a client that felt
- 0:50uncomfortable trying different types of food, particularly in
- 0:54situations where they didn't necessarily know the people
- 0:58around them or it felt like they were going to be watched.
- 1:02And there's two interesting elements of how people feel
- 1:05desire for food. 1 is what they associate with that food.
- 1:10And secondly, how they think about that food.
- 1:13Typically foods that are desirable the way they're
- 1:16imagined is close up and from a first person perspective and
- 1:22almost associated with other senses like heat or smell or.
- 1:26Taste so it. Increases desire, those foods
- 1:30that are unappealing are further away, or there's something about
- 1:34it that kind of creates A revulsion.
- 1:37And that might be other associations linked to that.
- 1:41And what's interesting is that for a person to believe that
- 1:45they like a food, there is a particular way that they think
- 1:47about it and they put it in their timeline of being in the
- 1:51past. Maybe they have memories of them
- 1:53eating the food and enjoying the food.
- 1:55And because they have that memory, it then feels like it's
- 1:58a safe thing to do. So if I said, for example, what
- 2:02most people would describe as a disgusting food, let's say,
- 2:05imagine eating insects or cockroaches, because you've
- 2:09never had the experience of eating that you would associate
- 2:11with, you know, dirty things that crawl across, you know, a
- 2:15kitchen. So you probably would have a
- 2:17feeling of disgust. You might create a picture in
- 2:19your mind of them moving. But something you find delicious
- 2:23like chocolate or ice cream or like a nice meal, you would
- 2:26think about that in a very different way.
- 2:29And what this hypnosis session does is it uses a virtual
- 2:32reality in this idea of a simulation to enable the client
- 2:35to experience eating different categories of food from a first
- 2:39person perspective and feeling like they've done that again and
- 2:43again and again. So it feels like it's in their
- 2:45past rather than something in their future.
- 2:49So if you've been described as a fussy eater or it's difficult
- 2:53for you to try new foods, then you might get some value from
- 2:56this session. But equally, if you feel like
- 2:59you would benefit from something more customized, there will be a
- 3:02link in the description where you can schedule a completely
- 3:06free consultation call to explore working with me.
- 3:09And there's also a suitability test in the description as well,
- 3:13so you can see if you would make a good candidate for
- 3:15hypnotherapy. For now though, find a quiet,
- 3:19comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:21Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:11you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 4:15relaxation. And as you exhale, just get a
- 4:23sense of feeling like you're drifting off to a safe place
- 4:29within your imagination. Breathe in deeply.
- 4:34And on the next exhale, just allow your eyelids to close.
- 4:40And as they close, that's it. Feel the release of any tension.
- 4:47Tension around the neck, the shoulders, the jaw.
- 4:53Just enable your body to drift down, deeper down.
- 5:02And perhaps you notice that the slower you breathe, the deeper
- 5:08you can breathe. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 5:15more relaxed you can feel breathing in relaxation and
- 5:21exhaling tension, enabling you to drift deeper and deeper.
- 5:30Relaxed that's in. And as your body relaxes, your
- 5:37imagination awakens. And I want you to imagine a
- 5:42fireman's pole. I want you to imagine you are on
- 5:49an upper floor and you can see a pole that goes down to a level
- 5:56below, and in that level below is a futuristic virtual reality
- 6:06simulator. But right now you're on the
- 6:11upper level that we can call the conscious mind.
- 6:19But I want you to imagine in a few seconds time to slide down
- 6:24that long fireman's pole. And as you go down, just imagine
- 6:31you're accessing A deeper part of your subconscious mind.
- 6:41That's it. Start sliding down that pole.
- 6:44I'm going to countdown from 5:00 to 1:00 with each descending
- 6:51number, feel that you're sliding downwards deep down to your
- 6:55subconscious mind. And when I arrive at 1:00.
- 7:00You will. Then touch the floor of a new
- 7:04room, the room that contains the futuristic virtual reality
- 7:09simulation. So sliding down now five more
- 7:15and more relaxed 4 deeper down 3.
- 7:19Just imagine the sensation of sliding downwards 2 all the way
- 7:26down now 1 and 0. Just imagine, there you go,
- 7:31touching down on a new floor and look around this floor within
- 7:37your imagination. Because if the upper floor was
- 7:41the conscious, this floor can be the subconscious, the lower
- 7:48decks of your mind. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 7:55a state-of-the-art futuristic virtual reality simulator.
- 8:02Maybe it's a whole suit that you climb into, or maybe just a
- 8:06headset, but this is so cutting edge that the moment you put on
- 8:15that simulator, it is indistinguishable from reality.
- 8:24But it doesn't have to follow the rules of reality.
- 8:28You can teleport to any place. Time can speed up or slow down.
- 8:35It just feels like it's real. And when you're ready, enter the
- 8:43simulation. And when you've entered the
- 8:50simulation, I want you to imagine, imagine a luxurious
- 8:59shopping mall, and you are in the food court of this luxurious
- 9:11shopping mall. And this food court has
- 9:16restaurant after restaurant after restaurants of all the
- 9:20different types of foods. And when you could imagine being
- 9:24there in that shopping mall near the food court, just let me know
- 9:30by nodding your head and you can walk around.
- 9:36You can imagine jumping everywhere you look.
- 9:41It looks like you're seeing things through your own eyes.
- 9:46But because it's AVR headset, you have access to information
- 9:56and one of those dashboards or dials is your hunger.
- 10:00And I want you to dial your hunger all the way up to AN89 or
- 10:04A10. Hunger is the biological desire
- 10:11to eat, and there are people that would eat anything if
- 10:18they're hungry enough. There's been people stranded on
- 10:26a boat that would eat raw fish or seagulls just because they
- 10:33were so hungry. I want you to imagine you're so
- 10:40hungry you have the desire to eat.
- 10:45But this this food court doesn't have horrible food.
- 10:52It has the very best food. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 11:03a restaurant in this food court that serves chicken.
- 11:13And I want you to imagine walking up and either looking at
- 11:21a menu or a board of different options.
- 11:26And each time you see an option, imagine that meal, that dish
- 11:33within your mind's eye that presents it in the most
- 11:38desirable way. If it's grilled chicken breast,
- 11:44imagine it cooked in the right way, served with the right
- 11:49foods. And if it's a chicken sandwich,
- 11:55imagine the right bread presented in the right way, and
- 12:06notice how easy it is to see words and convert them into a
- 12:14desirable image within your imagination.
- 12:20But this is just a simulation. I want you to imagine what it
- 12:26would be like to condense 1000 meals into just a few moments.
- 12:37Every possible way of eating chicken you could imagine
- 12:43experiencing in chicken and vegetables.
- 12:48Chicken and rice. Chicken in a sandwich.
- 12:54Grilled chicken in different parts of the chicken.
- 12:58Chicken wings, Chicken thigh, a drumstick, perhaps.
- 13:07Chicken in a stir fry. Imagine all the different ways.
- 13:10But imagine not just intellectually, but
- 13:15experientially. Imagine eating the chicken and
- 13:19enjoying it. It feels safe.
- 13:25And occasionally there might be certain ways of eating chicken
- 13:29that are just presented in a way that doesn't appeal to you.
- 13:33And there might be the flavours, the spices, the seasoning that
- 13:41don't quite make it desirable for you.
- 13:44And this is just information for you to figure out what you like
- 13:51and what you don't like. I don't want you to imagine
- 13:56condensing years of eating all the different ways of eating
- 13:59chicken in this one restaurant in the food court.
- 14:09And you can connect to the desire, the safety, the feeling
- 14:14of familiarity, the feeling that now when you look at that
- 14:18chicken menu, all of these foods you've had on many occasions and
- 14:23it feels like you're past now, you've already eaten these
- 14:28before. They feel safe.
- 14:33And then walk to the next restaurant that serves every
- 14:39possible combination of pasta dishes.
- 14:45Spaghetti penne? I want you to see lasagna.
- 14:58Even macaroni cheese, I want you to see all of these different
- 15:01combinations of pasta dishes. Perhaps you could imagine 100
- 15:10tables with 100 different dishes because this is just a
- 15:18simulation. You could imagine eating all 100
- 15:23but dialing up the desire and dialing up this feeling of
- 15:29familiarity and safety. And you'll notice there's
- 15:34certain ways of thinking about certain pasta dishes that feel
- 15:39more desirable to you. Some pasta dishes are cold, some
- 15:45are hot, and maybe you like the hot dishes more than the cold.
- 15:52Some are accompanied with meat or vegetables, and some might be
- 15:59quite plain. But I want you to condense years
- 16:04of eating pasta into this one restaurant, even if it feels
- 16:11that this is manageable and you're growing your discernment
- 16:15of knowing what you like and don't like.
- 16:17Just let me know by nodding your head.
- 16:23But because this is a simulation, you can see your
- 16:26hunger is still on 8-9 or 10. So you leave the restaurant not
- 16:33feeling full, still with hunger, still with desire.
- 16:38But now I want you to see a steakhouse.
- 16:45And this steakhouse offers every combination of steaks and
- 16:51grilled meats, each table a different meal, each accompanied
- 16:59with different vegetables or salads and garnishes.
- 17:07I want you to imagine not just seeing the foods, but eating the
- 17:10foods and enjoying the foods. All the different ways of having
- 17:18a steak, the different cuts, fillet, steak, sirloin, A rump,
- 17:29T-bone, testing out all the different variations of how it's
- 17:36cooked, everything from rare to well done.
- 17:43And notice your discernment, your desire.
- 17:49What might be disgusting if it's cooked in a certain way is
- 17:53desirable if it's cooked in a different way.
- 17:58No right or wrong, just information and just feel that
- 18:03you've had every combination. Even rarer steaks, an ostrich
- 18:10steak. I want you to imagine all the
- 18:17different milk meats and combinations and all the
- 18:20different drinks that could accompany it.
- 18:22And in the same restaurant, I want you to imagine a salad bar
- 18:31with every possible vegetable and salad and even fruit from
- 18:37every part of the world. And I want you to notice those
- 18:46things you've had many times before, like lettuce or tomato.
- 18:51They're OK, They feel safe and familiar.
- 18:57But I want you to notice when there's something you've never
- 18:59had before, the desire and curiosity increases.
- 19:08Maybe it's a vegetable from a different part of the world that
- 19:13you never knew existed and change any thoughts of I've
- 19:19never had that before too. What a wonderful opportunity to
- 19:28experience that new type of food.
- 19:34Because you already know that vegetables and fruits are
- 19:40generally foods you already like.
- 19:43So consider this an easy win to expand the foods you feel
- 19:48comfortable with. And the more varieties you try,
- 19:54the more your confidence grows. You leave this place and then
- 20:01you see a fish restaurant with every possible fish and
- 20:07shellfish there is. The steaky types of fish like
- 20:16tuna and salmon. The meaty white fishes like cod
- 20:23and haddock. I want you to see the rarer
- 20:29fishes. Maybe you see things like crab
- 20:34or lobster. I want you to imagine seeing
- 20:38them presented on a plate in the most desirable way.
- 20:42And just imagine condensing years of testing and trying and
- 20:49choosing all of these different food combinations so it feels
- 20:56like you've done this many, many times before.
- 21:02And then notice there's a whole different section of the same
- 21:04restaurant with all the different dairy things that
- 21:08exist, eggs and yogurts, milks and cheeses.
- 21:16And in particular, you can't help but think that cheese is
- 21:20just a solid form of milk, and if you like milk, then you feel
- 21:28that it's safe to try different varieties of cheeses, knowing
- 21:34that nobody likes them all. But by choosing something and
- 21:40knowing that you do or do not like it turns you into someone
- 21:46with refined tastes. Someone with refined taste is
- 21:51some someone that simply knows what they like and what they
- 21:55don't. I want you to imagine years of
- 22:00being in this food court, trying every combination of every type
- 22:04of food, knowing what you like, knowing what you don't like,
- 22:09thinking about foods in a way that means each time you choose
- 22:16is a shot to nothing. If you like it, you eat it.
- 22:19If you don't, you don't. Each attempt makes you more
- 22:25distinguished, more refined, more confident, and more
- 22:28comfortable. It's time to leave this food
- 22:36court. But you leave feeling like
- 22:38you've got years and years of eating all these different foods
- 22:45so that in the future they're not daunting.
- 22:49They don't feel out of the comfort zone.
- 22:52They feel very, very familiar and manageable.
- 22:59So as you leave the food court, go back into that mall, I want
- 23:04you to see a pole going upwards. But this time I want you to
- 23:10imagine climbing up the pole. And as you climb up the pole,
- 23:15feel that you're shifting perspective from the
- 23:17subconscious to the conscious. I want you to get a sense that
- 23:24the virtual reality you're taking off the headset,
- 23:32continuing to climb up that pole, feeling like you're
- 23:35returning to what we can call the conscious mind.
- 23:40So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 23:44nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 23:47wiggle your toes. That's it.
- 23:48Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 23:53from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you. 123 Waking up. 456 more
- 24:01alert. 7-8 open your eyes. Open your eyes. 910 wide awake,
- 24:08wide awake, wide awake. Thank you for listening to The
