- Jessica Figueroa: Hello, everyone. We are back here together for just for today, and I'm Cindy Marlar. Just for today, we are going to think of our day like a big hourglass. When's the last time you saw an hourglass? They're so beautiful. I have timers around my house, teeny hourglass timers I used to use when my children were young. And it was such a great visual timer. If you have young children, I recommend this. But today I want you to think of your day as one of these beautiful big glass hourglasses. And only so many grains of sand can go through the neck of the hourglass at a time. That's just a fact. If you tried to put too many through at a time, it would bust through the hourglass. There is an even amount that can go from the top to the bottom in an even amount of time. It's very steady. And we're gonna think of our day like that today. The things we have due to get done today, the time and the hours that will pass today, they will all go evenly throughout it. We can't speed up one hour of the day and slow down another, just like the sand going through an hourglass. That's impossible. The hours and the time of our day will go evenly throughout the day until nighttime. So let's let our day follow and our thoughts follow that same pattern. Let's let things go evenly through. Let's handle one thing at a time. Let's handle one moment at a time, one hour at a time, one lunch at a time. And let's not try to jam so much into it just like an hourglass and have a steady pace for our day. So just for today, we're gonna practice having a steady, even pace of our time and our intentions and our thoughts throughout today, just like grains of sand passing through an hourglass. And if you haven't had an hourglass around, you can find that at any type stores, you know, TJ Maxx's, Burlington Coat Factories, Department stores. I would urge you to pick one up. And every once in a while, just flip it upside down. In fact, when I go to hotels and things and I see them sitting in lobbies, I always flip them upside down just to let the sand pass through. Just like our lives and time is passing through. Let's learn a pace just like an hourglass. One day at a time we are doing this together, guys. And today, just for today, we're gonna live like an hourglass. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
