- Jessica Figueroa: Hey listeners, what a sweet day today already is. Isn't it? ⁓ I can hear thunder outside. I can hear rain. It's so beautiful. I love living in Florida. I've always loved rain and thunder and all of our thunderstorms. They just remind me of God's power. Speaking of God's power, today we're in the Bible. You know that book laying around your house that doesn't get opened nearly enough. Well, in there really are all the secrets to life. They're not here on this podcast. You could never listen to me a day again and open your Bible more and you're gonna learn way more from there. But one of the areas I love learning from the Bible and from God's word is in the book of Proverbs, which is known as the Book of Wisdom, written by King Solomon, inspired by God. So the daily proverb is a concept. There are thirty-one chapters in the book of Proverbs, and on the longest month, there's thirty-one days. So it actually corresponds with months for the most part. So whatever the date is, you can open up to that chapter in Proverbs or go to the Bible app on your phone or look it up at any sort of Bible resource and you can read the daily proverb for that day. It takes about five minutes and it's chock full of wisdom. And growing in wisdom is way better than being smart. Smart is just gathering knowledge. S there's an expression that says, smart people, I start over. Smart people know what to say. And wise people know when to say it. I had to learn this lesson the hard way because I can speak before I think. So again, smart people know what to say. Wise people know when to say it. So just for today, we are going to get into our Bible app or our Bibles, preferably the good old book. Yeah, laying around the house. We are going to open up the book of Proverbs. It's about in the middle. And we are going to turn to the date it is today. the date of the month, and we're going to open to that chapter and we are going to read just that chapter in Proverbs. You can listen to it or you can read it. But just for today, we are going to grow in wisdom by reading the daily proverb. So just for today, there is in the one I'm looking at right now, it says, the simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps. And that's something we do here at Just for Today Podcast. We're giving thought to our steps. Because the simple believe anything. And that's not what we're doing here. We are learning to give thought to our steps. So to your step today is to open the book of Proverbs and read the Daily Proverb. Have a great day, guys. I'm praying for you today that you grow in wisdom. And remember we're doing things together just for today.
