- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:43hypnosis session all about preparation.
- 0:47And it's actually. A deep sleep.
- 0:49Version of another one that you might have heard recently, which
- 0:54is all about the Mary Poppins bag of preparation.
- 0:58It's just that the client wanted a deep sleep version.
- 1:01They didn't want the awakening at the end.
- 1:03They wanted it to drift off into nice relaxing music so they
- 1:07could fall asleep to and then feel like they would be desiring
- 1:12to get more prepared the next day.
- 1:14So if you liked that one or you like the idea of being more
- 1:17prepared but you want to drift off to sleep, this is a deep
- 1:20sleep version so that you feel more prepared about preparing
- 1:24meals, preparing the right kind of food to eat, but.
- 1:27Also. Preparing for other things in
- 1:29your life. And it taps into this idea that
- 1:32preparation is giving a gift to your future self.
- 1:35So that element is all in here. It just ends with around about I
- 1:41think 45 minutes, maybe even an hour of relaxing music.
- 1:45And the ending gives you the option to kind of.
- 1:49Fall. Deeper into sleep, if you're not
- 1:52completely in sleep at that particular point, if you like
- 1:55the kind of hypnosis I do, there will be lots of free things that
- 1:59you can get just by looking in the show notes, the description,
- 2:03free downloads, free courses, free suitability tests.
- 2:06Check them out. And if you like the idea of
- 2:08working with me directly, there's also a free consultation
- 2:11call that you can schedule in that description.
- 2:14For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:16won't be disturbed. And if you are listening this to
- 2:19get to sleep, ideally that would be your bed.
- 2:22Make yourself comfortable and relax and just enjoy this
- 2:25session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:09you breathe in, breathe in that long relaxing breath.
- 3:17And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to relax and notice
- 3:25that with your eyes closed, you're able to focus more on the
- 3:33sound of my voice. Breathing in that relaxation and
- 3:45exhaling that tension allow each breath to take you deeper and
- 3:57deeper. Relaxed.
- 4:02And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel and the
- 4:07more. Relaxed you?
- 4:07Feel the deeper you breathe, and I wonder if, as your body
- 4:15relaxes, just how much your imagination awakens.
- 4:27And I wonder if you could imagine what it would be like to
- 4:34be a child being read a story. I want you to think of an old
- 4:44childhood. Bedroom A.
- 4:47Particular bed and just imagine being on that bed and someone
- 4:52reading you a story about Mary Poppins.
- 4:59Just imagine that feeling of relaxation.
- 5:05Who doesn't like to be read a story, hearing the sound take
- 5:11them deeper into that world of their imagination and just
- 5:19imagine drifting off to that place where when you hear a
- 5:25story, you turn it into a world within your imagination.
- 5:33And I want. You to imagine seeing Mary
- 5:38Poppins with that combination of elegance, organization, fun,
- 5:51boundaries, but also preparation.
- 6:01Mary Poppins knows in advance what she will do before she does
- 6:07it. But I want you to get a sense
- 6:11that Mary Poppins also has an incredible and useful resource.
- 6:22She can open a bag, and whatever she needs is exactly what she
- 6:29will find in that bag. And I want you to imagine
- 6:37stepping into the story and feeling what it would feel like
- 6:43to be Mary Poppins. Imagine yourself as highly
- 6:50organized, intentional, and prepared, and I wonder what it
- 7:02would be like to have that bag and whatever you needed, it
- 7:09happened to be there in advance. I want you to get a sense that
- 7:16you could accomplish almost anything, because whatever you
- 7:20needed, you would have when you needed it.
- 7:30As you imagine. I want you to imagine this bag
- 7:36also contains meals. I want you to get a sense that
- 7:42if you wanted a delicious salad, all you would need to do is
- 7:48instantly open the bag, put your hand inside, and you would find
- 7:54a perfect salad already prepared in that bag.
- 8:00Or a healthy soup, or a healthy juice, or a healthy meal.
- 8:08I don't want you to get a sense of just how easy it would be to
- 8:14eat healthily if all you had to do is reach into Mary Poppins
- 8:21bag and take out a healthy meal. If it was that convenient, that
- 8:31accessible, isn't it the case that eating healthy would be
- 8:37easy? And consider yourself planting a
- 8:42seed of an idea deep in your subconscious mind as you think
- 8:48back to a time in your life when you were highly prepared.
- 8:57And maybe it was a time that you were prepared in work, doing the
- 9:01work to prepare and articulate all of those things that you
- 9:08were competent and capable in. I want you to get a sense then
- 9:16all of that preparation had a big payoff.
- 9:21And then I want you to think of a different time in your past
- 9:26where you were well prepared with food.
- 9:30Maybe you knew what you were going to eat before you even
- 9:36went to the supermarket, before you even prepared or cooked it,
- 9:42and certainly before you ate it. I want you to embrace the idea
- 9:51that preparation is the antidote to cravings and impulses.
- 9:59An impulse or a craving or a compulsion is thinking of
- 10:04something in the moment and then just eating or doing that thing.
- 10:10Preparation is setting an intention before you do the
- 10:15thing. And I want you to get a sense
- 10:19that it feels the preparation is just as magical as Mary Poppins
- 10:30magic bag. That you could prepare in
- 10:35advance for things that you will want or need before you want
- 10:43them. And in doing so, at the point
- 10:50that you want or need it. Just like that magic bag, it's
- 10:56already there, maybe in the refrigerator or maybe in the
- 11:01freezer or maybe in the cupboard or maybe somewhere else.
- 11:07Preparation enables you to give instant access to that future
- 11:17version of you. From this point forward, you
- 11:22will consider preparation an act of self love and an act of
- 11:31kindness to your future self. And maybe you've heard of that
- 11:38phrase. Paying it forward preparation is
- 11:44just paying it forward to that future version of you.
- 11:50Doing exercise today is giving the gift of strength to that
- 11:56future version of you. And eating well or shopping well
- 12:03or preparing food in advance is giving the gift of health and
- 12:08vitality and confidence to that future version of.
- 12:13You I want. You to imagine you're still in
- 12:19Mary Poppins Home and I want you to imagine somewhere in that
- 12:24home is a private cinema. And I want you to imagine you
- 12:31are now seeing the future version of you on that cinema
- 12:36screen. And you will hear suggestions
- 12:41that are giving inspiration and ideas to your unconscious mind
- 12:49that will help the future version of you.
- 12:56Preparation is just manipulating time.
- 13:05As you see yourself in the future, I want you to get a
- 13:10sense that every act of preparation is a gift that your
- 13:19present self gives to your future self.
- 13:24And the more you prepare, the more your future feels lighter,
- 13:30easier, and more enjoyable. And maybe when you imagine your
- 13:37future self thanking you, you get to feel proud to prepare in
- 13:44advance, because preparation makes you feel good in advance
- 13:50and in the future. Preparation is like feeling good
- 13:56twice and sometimes even more. Your subconscious mind will
- 14:04accept the idea that each small preparation today creates a
- 14:11chain reaction of ease and success tomorrow.
- 14:19And maybe you can see yourself on that screen, shopping for
- 14:23healthy foods and seeing that version of you that it feels
- 14:30like. Shopping for healthy foods is
- 14:34almost like choosing energy, clarity, and vitality in advance
- 14:39of feeling it. And when you set the intention
- 14:43for your meals, you feel grounded and in control before
- 14:50hunger or cravings ever speaks. You'll get the sense that
- 15:00cooking and preparing food in advance feels like laying the
- 15:06foundations of future health, and even you might experiment by
- 15:15labelling containers with the day and time, or which meal you
- 15:22will eat it under is like giving supportive messages to your
- 15:29future self. Each organized container feels
- 15:37like a magical step towards discipline, and discipline is
- 15:42like a roundabout where the effort is needed to begin with,
- 15:50but gets easier and automatic over time, Just like that
- 15:54roundabout spinning by itself. And preparation doesn't
- 16:02exclusively apply to food. Preparing for meetings feels
- 16:09like polishing a key that opens opportunities with confidence.
- 16:17Each moment of advanced planning helps that future version of you
- 16:23become sharper, calmer, and more persuasive.
- 16:29And projects can feel like a stage production.
- 16:32And when you set the stage in advance, it feels like a play
- 16:39that's been rehearsed to perfection.
- 16:44So much so that preparation at work creates freedom later
- 16:49because the path ahead is already clear.
- 16:57Don't expect everything to be smooth and easy and exactly as
- 17:01you wanted. Life will give you tests and
- 17:06challenges to test your preparation, to test your
- 17:12resilience. And every now and then you'll
- 17:16have a set back. But you will consider these
- 17:21temporary blips, like a bump in the road or a small traffic jam,
- 17:31not enough to deter you from making progress towards your
- 17:36destination. And the great thing about a set
- 17:41back is that every time you bounce back, your resilience
- 17:48grows even stronger, like a muscle trained by lifting heavy
- 17:54weights. A bad day does not undo your
- 18:01preparation, it simply makes your preparation even more
- 18:07valuable. The act of preparing for good
- 18:14days makes those challenging days shorter and easier to
- 18:20manage. But more importantly,
- 18:27preparation feels satisfying, like putting the final piece in
- 18:34a puzzle before it's even needed.
- 18:39And the more you prepare, the more you feel a sense of calm
- 18:45certainty that you are always ready.
- 18:53The more you prepare, the easier life gets, and the easier it is
- 19:01to make excellent choices. So see that future version of
- 19:05you on the screen, getting healthier, happier, and more
- 19:09successful in work as a direct side effect of the preparation
- 19:15that you did in advance. And before long, preparation
- 19:22becomes your natural way of caring for yourself, creating a
- 19:29rhythm of success that continues to build.
- 19:37And I want you to see that future version of you
- 19:41duplicating, almost like there are two versions of you.
- 19:50And I want you to see a version of you that consistently
- 19:55prepares for five years, prepares your meetings, your
- 20:00work, your projects, your food, your shopping.
- 20:04And the other version never prepares, always reacts, follows
- 20:10cravings and impulses. And imagine seeing their journey
- 20:16until five years have passed. And allow your intuition to let
- 20:22you know which one will give you more of the life that you want.
- 20:29The version of you that prepares, or the version of you
- 20:34that responds, reacts, follows those impulses, and if your
- 20:45intuition, your subconscious mind knows the preparation,
- 20:51increases the probability of gravitating towards the life
- 20:58that you desire. Just let me know by nodding your
- 21:00head and step into that version of you, that version of you that
- 21:09doesn't have to prepare but wants to, that wants to help the
- 21:14future version of you in advance.
- 21:19Activate those feelings of desire to prepare.
- 21:21And just think of two or three things that you could do today
- 21:28or tomorrow that would help the future version of you and set
- 21:36the intention to do those things.
- 21:40And when you awaken, you will feel a craving to do the
- 21:47preparation. And every time you prepare, you
- 21:52will feel proud in advance. The dopamine will come from the
- 21:58preparation, not from any snacking or foods.
- 22:04Preparation will make you feel good.
- 22:08But imagine leaving Mary Poppins cinema and then imagine what it
- 22:14would feel like to leave Mary Poppins house and float all the
- 22:22way back into your reality. You will awaken very soon when I
- 22:30count from 1:00 to 10:00. Feeling a desire to prepare in
- 22:36advance to help your future self, knowing the rewards will
- 22:47far outweigh any time and inconvenience in the.
- 22:53Preparation and very. Soon I will count from 1:00 to
- 23:0510:00. And if you're listening to this
- 23:09at a. Time where you.
- 23:12Want to immediately awaken and activate all of those wonderful
- 23:18motives to? Prepare.
- 23:21Then as I count from 1:00 to 10:00.
- 23:24You will. Awaken If, however.
- 23:30You are. Listening to this just before
- 23:34it's time to drift. Into a deep.
- 23:38Rejuvenating sleep then as I count from one to 10 you will
- 23:47allow yourself. To drift.
- 23:49Even deeper, making the transition from hypnosis to
- 23:54sleep and awakening when it's time to awaken with a compulsion
- 24:05to prepare and a desire to give that.
- 24:09Gift to your. Future Self starting to count
- 24:18123. 4. 56789 and 10. Yeah.
- 26:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:30Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:30Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:31Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:01Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 40:16Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 46:17Yeah. Yeah.
- 49:58Yeah. Yeah.
- 50:59Yeah. Yeah.
- 52:59Yeah. Yeah.
