- Cindy Marler: Morning, everyone. I'm wondering, are we the best versions of ourselves? If you had different versions of yourself, what would the best version be? What would the best version sound like? What would they act like? What would they do? What would the best version of yourself look like? And are you at least seeing the best version of yourself? Half of your life. Whenever I get to teach kids handwriting, well, not teach kids handwriting, but when they're handwriting in one of the classes, when I get to teach a group of kids, I love seeing their best handwriting because then I will refer back to it all year long. And I'll say, and I'll ask them, is this your best handwriting? And often they'll say, yes, yes. And then I'll flip back to a previous point in the year and say, no, no, look, but here you did it better. And they're like, and I'll say, So that's okay, but it wasn't your best handwriting. So are we knowing what the best version of ourselves is and then thinking about that? Can we be the best version of ourselves every single day? No. But often the best version of ourselves isn't perfection, guys. The best version of ourself does rest. The best version of ourself does need downtime, does get sick, does I'm not talking about this superhuman Marvel movie character. I'm just talking about the best version of yourself need sometimes when you're not feeling well or you have cramps and you need to stay in bed. That's the best version of yourself that day. But what is the best version of yourself when you're doing that look like? I know I was in a waiting room the other day and lost my patience with someone in the waiting room. And that was not the best version of myself. It wasn't. So it happens. But I was aware and I was like, Cindy, that was not the best version of you. You lost your patience with someone in the waiting room. And the irony is I lost my patience on them because they lost their patience about waiting. So they weren't patient about waiting in the waiting room. And then I lost my patience because they weren't patient. So I was doing the same thing they were doing, not being patient. So let's think today about what the best version of ourselves is and try to present that foot forward in most of our days. I appreciate you guys. I have a good time with you here. I hope you have a really terrific day.
