- Jessica Figueroa: Where are my music listeners out there in Just For Today Podcast Land? Where are my music lovers? Because today I'm looking for my Queen fans. That's right. I'm gonna be reading the lyrics to you of a song written by Queen in well, I don't know if it was written, sung by Queen in 1977, called We Are the Champions, because song lyrics are so powerful. Whether they're hymns, worship, praise, good and bad. But this is such a classic and we hear it all the time. But do you really know the other words besides the chorus? So I'm just gonna read it to you. You're welcome that I'm not gonna sing it, but I'm gonna read it. Okay. I've paid my dues time after time. I've done my sentence, but committed no crime. And bad mistakes, I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face. But I've come through and I mean to go on and on and on and on. We are the champions, my friends, and we'll keep on fighting till the end, because we are the champions of the world. He also says, No time for losers. Okay, we're gonna continue to go on. I've taken my bows and my curtain calls. You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it. I thank you all. But it's been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race. And I ain't gonna lose. We are the champions, my friends, and we'll keep on fighting till the end. We are the champions, we are the champions. No time for losers, because we are the champions of the world. So interesting, right? How he's talking about he paid his dues time after time, he's done his sentence, but committed no crime, made mistakes, made a few, been kicked in the face, but come through. but then talking about the praise. So here he's saying, been kicked down, held down and all that. But now he's like, but I've also been praised. I've taken my bows and my curtains calls. you brought me fame and fortune, everything that go with it. I thank you all. But then going on to say, but that's been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race, and I'm not gonna lose. What I love is that he's talking about the hard times, but but then when he got to the other side, the good times that you might think, they were also hard because life Is hard, but we are the champions. We are the champions. We have Jesus. We are the champions, and we will keep on fighting until the end. Sing it today. Type it into whatever music thing you do and listen to it and really think about it. Life is hard, whether you're being kicked in down or you're at the top. It's just hard, but we are the champions with Jesus.
