- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's. Adam here.
- 0:41And in this episode of The Hypnotist, you'll be listening
- 0:45to a hypnosis session designed to rekindle.
- 0:52The resources of. The past that.
- 0:54Definitely did exist. Back then that you may not be
- 0:58accessing now, and that could be resources like motivation or
- 1:04confidence or. Creativity or.
- 1:08You know, this kind of drive, whatever it might be, but
- 1:11something in the past that was absolutely there and it's kind
- 1:15of feels like you can't access it now.
- 1:18And the client that I was working with was very, very
- 1:22successful in the world of sales coaching and.
- 1:28They could be. That excellent.
- 1:29Coach because. They were an excellent
- 1:33salesperson. They knew how to pitch and sell
- 1:36and handle objections and be tenacious and clothes and all of
- 1:40those things, but they felt that they weren't really able to
- 1:45access that as much. Since their role.
- 1:48Changed and they wanted to. That's the important thing.
- 1:51If you don't want to just leave it in the past.
- 1:53But if you want to access there, then using an element of stage
- 1:58disassociation and then associating into the resources
- 2:02and then future pacing them into a different context can be
- 2:04really useful. And what was?
- 2:06Great is the there was a phrase a.
- 2:09Throwaway phrase that the client used in the session and he and
- 2:12he I could tell he accessed that.
- 2:14Resourceful state briefly, he said.
- 2:17You know, I'm like a prowling lion.
- 2:20And there was this element of being strong and predatory and
- 2:28resourceful and kind of aware of everything.
- 2:31And for them that was really emotive state.
- 2:36So this is really. It it will.
- 2:39I think help anyone that works in perhaps influence or sales or
- 2:44the kind of client facing kind of roles where you need to
- 2:48influence someone. But equally I think it would
- 2:51also help anyone that has been resourceful in the past, isn't
- 2:57accessing that resourceful state now and wants to.
- 3:00And then you can use this idea of going back to a moment,
- 3:03harvesting that resourceful state and future pacing it and
- 3:08and just make it relevant to a memory of your past.
- 3:13Obviously, it was created for a very specific individual that
- 3:16wanted to bring about that kind of almost that Jordan Belfort,
- 3:23the Wolf of Wall Street type of character.
- 3:25And as they were telling me a story about the the scene, the
- 3:29memory that they go back to, it reminded me of that scene where
- 3:33he's, you know, starting out in. A.
- 3:36Sales role, selling stocks, and the whole office is watching
- 3:40him. It kind of evoked that kind of
- 3:41memory, and that's quite unique. Not everyone has a background in
- 3:45sales or wants to be good in sales, but this client
- 3:49absolutely did. So if you want something
- 3:52customized for you, something. Bespoke for you?
- 3:55In your situation, there will be a link in the show notes where
- 3:59you can schedule that free consultation call, and then we
- 4:02can have a chat to see if I'm the right person to work with
- 4:05you. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:09comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:12Relax and. Enjoy the session,
- 4:46take a deep. Breath in.
- 4:50And as you breathe in, breathe in a slow, long, relaxing
- 4:55breath. And as you exhale, just release
- 5:05tension around your eyelids and notice that with your eyes
- 5:11closed, you're able to give more of your attention to the sound
- 5:19of my voice. When you breathe in, just aim to
- 5:25breathe in tiny bit deeper than the previous breath, and as you
- 5:31exhale, just allow that breath to be slightly longer.
- 5:37Elongate the outward breath, creating a vacuum in the deep
- 5:46part of your lungs, not the chest, but down in the
- 5:48diaphragm. So as you breathe in, you end up
- 5:53breathing in more of that oxygen.
- 5:57But I want you to imagine what colour resourcefulness would be
- 6:04for you. And the great thing about
- 6:08resourcefulness is that the resources represent any resource
- 6:16you need most right now. Motivation, confidence,
- 6:22tenacity, creativity, determination.
- 6:26But just think of a colour of resourcefulness.
- 6:31Make it bright and vibrant. And as you breathe in, imagine
- 6:37breathing in that vibrant colour going into your lungs, and just
- 6:45imagine your heart taking those resources and distributing them
- 6:51to every cell in your body, just as it does with oxygen.
- 6:57And as you exhale, scan your body for any clues of tension.
- 7:03And just imagine that tension leaving your body in that
- 7:08outward breath as a dark colour, breathing in that vibrant
- 7:14colour, exhaling something grey or dark.
- 7:19And just by breathing in and breathing out, feel an emotional
- 7:26transfusion, giving your body what it needs and exhaling what
- 7:33it doesn't, enabling you to quieten your mind release
- 7:40tension in your body. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 7:47relaxed you become, and the more relaxed you become, the deeper
- 7:53you breathe. As your body relaxes, your
- 7:57imagination awakens. And I want you to think of a
- 8:03beach you know well, on a sunny day, maybe you can imagine
- 8:10walking on that beach, maybe on the sand or on a promenade
- 8:18nearby. Maybe you can imagine listening
- 8:23to a podcast, learning something, making notes.
- 8:30And maybe you notice the sea, the blue sky, the feeling of the
- 8:35warmth of the sun on your skin, maybe a gentle breeze as you
- 8:44breathe in and breathe out. I want you to imagine something
- 8:52you've never seen before on that beach.
- 8:57I want you to imagine a door not connected to a building, just a
- 9:02door on the sand. A closed door.
- 9:08It has a frame, but it's not connected to anything, just like
- 9:13it's hovering there. Technically, it should fall
- 9:18down, but it doesn't. I want you to imagine
- 9:23approaching the door, looking around, and it's weird, a door
- 9:28just there on the beach, upwards.
- 9:35I want you to consider this a portal as you breathe in and
- 9:40breathe out. Stand on one side of the door.
- 9:45And as I count from 5:00 to 1:00, I want you to imagine
- 9:50opening the door and walking through the door.
- 9:55That strange door on a beach. Five.
- 10:02Just imagine putting your hand on the handle, 4 turning the
- 10:07handle, 3 opening the door, 2 walking through the door, and
- 10:14one closing the door behind you. But you're not on the other side
- 10:19of the door on the beach. You're at the top of the
- 10:22staircase. A staircase that leads down to a
- 10:28private cinema. And none of this makes sense.
- 10:32And it doesn't need to just see the stairs leading to your own
- 10:38private cinema. A cinema that can take you
- 10:43backwards and forwards in time. I'm going to count downwards
- 10:49from 12:50. Just imagine walking down the
- 10:52staircase into your own private cinema.
- 10:55But with each step down the staircase, imagine feeling more
- 11:02relaxed and that the staircase is taking you into a place that
- 11:08some people call hypnosis and some people call the power of
- 11:15your imagination. 10 Taking that first step down the staircase,
- 11:22just feeling a sense of release. 9 noticing that your breathing
- 11:28gets deeper and deeper, feeling more relaxed on that outward
- 11:33breath. And then eight, just focus on
- 11:36the muscles in your forehead around the temple, and just
- 11:42release that on the next outward breath.
- 11:47Now focus on your jaw, the muscles around your mouth,
- 11:51breathing in relaxation, exhaling tension.
- 11:55As you continue to walk down the staircase, 7 becomes 6.
- 11:59And now focus on the muscles in your neck and your shoulders.
- 12:05Just imagine any tension melting away.
- 12:08That's it. And then five, just feeling your
- 12:14arms feeling limp, loose and heavy, so heavy because it
- 12:19almost feels like you're gliding down this staircase. 4 focus now
- 12:26on any sensations. They're in the gut, the
- 12:30intestines. If your neck and shoulders store
- 12:34stress, the gut sometimes stores anxiety and just allow it all to
- 12:38melt away. That's it, Another step down the
- 12:43staircase as four becomes 3, feeling deeper, relaxed and now
- 12:48focus on your legs. Allow your legs to feel so
- 12:52relaxed that now your arms and legs feel like the limbs of a
- 12:56puppet with no strings. Limp, loose, relaxed down into
- 13:03your calf muscles, feeling wonderfully relaxed.
- 13:06That's in and one just getting to the end of that staircase you
- 13:12can see a beautiful private cinema, a big screen comfy sofa
- 13:22decorated exactly as you would want your own private cinema.
- 13:30Imagine taking a seat, feeling so relaxed, and imagine the
- 13:36screen starts to show you a memory, A memory of a specific
- 13:43day, of your past. A day where you covertly went
- 13:52into an environment, didn't tell people what you could do.
- 13:58You showed them. See yourself, perhaps in that
- 14:02morning, getting dressed, wearing a suit.
- 14:07Not just any suit, a suit that demonstrates intent.
- 14:13Maybe see yourself putting on a watch, putting on shoes.
- 14:18See your body language, your Physiology, your pasture, your
- 14:21facial expressions as that versions of you goes to that
- 14:26particular place. Maybe an office.
- 14:34See when you turned up. No time for small talk.
- 14:38See yourself on a mission. There is intention in your eyes,
- 14:48the eyes of a lion, and I want you to see that version of you.
- 14:54Position yourself in a certain way, maybe standing, maybe
- 14:58pacing. See how you organise things,
- 15:04maybe see how you managed your time, focusing on what to do 1st
- 15:10and then second and then third. There was Dr. motivation,
- 15:18tenacity, but more importantly there was intent.
- 15:25That version of you looked at what was happening there as a
- 15:30statement of intent, of a demonstration of competency.
- 15:38I want you to see that version of you start to do things at a
- 15:45particular level. See the way you were moving,
- 15:54even the way you were drinking a hot drink or a glass of water.
- 16:01Pay attention to your tonality, the confidence communicated in
- 16:07your voice. Notice the details that matter.
- 16:15And notice to see that first win something you did then maybe got
- 16:22the attention of other people. You were getting different
- 16:27results because you were doing something different.
- 16:30And pay attention to those differences, the work rate, the
- 16:39fearlessness. This was a shot to nothing.
- 16:42No downside, huge upside. And I want you to see that once
- 16:53that first win happens, it leads to another win and then another.
- 17:05See yourself over the period of maybe 2 days, success after
- 17:12success, and see the reaction on the people around you.
- 17:21Maybe they were curious, impressed, confused.
- 17:25Who is this person? How are they able to do things
- 17:30that we can't see it all? And when it feels like this
- 17:37version of you has the very resources that would be
- 17:41incredibly useful in the present and the future, let me know
- 17:44about nodding your head. So imagine jumping this movie
- 17:53right back to the very beginning where you're getting ready.
- 17:58Only this time, step into the screen.
- 18:03You're no longer seeing yourself putting on a suit, you are
- 18:06putting on the suit. Maybe you can even recall the
- 18:10colour, the style of the suit. There's a way that you put it
- 18:16on. Everyone has a sequence and
- 18:22maybe there were certain things that you can recall.
- 18:27A watch, maybe cufflinks, a pen, maybe a tie.
- 18:38Even the texture of the socks on your feet, the shoes.
- 18:46I want you to feel that you're not putting on a suit.
- 18:49Feel that you are putting on a suit of armour.
- 18:54Going into battle fearlessly. Notice you're in a dialogue.
- 19:04No scarcity, absolute conviction.
- 19:12It's already framed as low stakes, but here, that dialogue,
- 19:17there's a knowing and knowing you can do this.
- 19:21Imagine turning up and getting straight to it.
- 19:27Imagine organizing your environment.
- 19:29See the hands through your eyes, feel the suit on your body, even
- 19:39feel the weight of the watch on your wrist.
- 19:44Look at the shininess of that pen.
- 19:48Maybe there was a headset. Imagine the feeling of the
- 19:51headset over your ears, the weight of it.
- 19:59Imagine how it felt, the looseness in your chest and your
- 20:02diaphragm as you. Have those conversations.
- 20:05Feel a sense of connectedness to all of the resources you had
- 20:11back then. Those resources have been frozen
- 20:16for a while and feel that right now you are thawing them.
- 20:22Any restrictions and barriers to those abilities and feelings and
- 20:27resources and strategies and beliefs and thoughts are all
- 20:30melting away. And if you can feel those
- 20:34feelings, let me know by nodding your head.
- 20:39If it feels like you're rekindling a passion and energy
- 20:43and motivation, a wonderful feeling of resourcefulness,
- 20:48notice where in your body it feels that that is and just
- 20:52point to it for a second. That feeling of I've got this.
- 20:58Now imagine a color and a shape in that location.
- 21:02Maybe a three-dimensional shape, maybe a pyramid, a cube.
- 21:08Allow that shape to be an inner anchor of this feeling, a
- 21:15mnemonic. Make that shape slightly bigger,
- 21:21give it a colour and make that colour glow.
- 21:24And maybe the colour is the same colour as the resources you were
- 21:27breathing in before. Or maybe it's different that
- 21:32make it so bright it starts to glow and if it's spin, spin it
- 21:35in the same direction faster. Amplify these wonderful
- 21:40feelings. And I want you to notice there
- 21:47is an inner dialogue, a phrase that connects to this feeling.
- 21:54Maybe a phrase used to say a lot to yourself.
- 21:59I've got this, I can do this. This is easy.
- 22:02Watch me. You'll know what the phrase is
- 22:05for you because it was there. Hear that same phrase or create
- 22:16one that feels right in that tonality.
- 22:21No uncertainty, no upward inflection, absolute conviction.
- 22:29I've got this connect that sound to that feeling, to that shape
- 22:37and that colour, and then feel that feeling as you condense 2
- 22:48days worth of work to just moments in your mind.
- 22:52But all the moments that matter when it gets to the end, leave
- 22:57the screen, but take all of those feelings with you.
- 23:02You imagine being on the sofa looking up at the screen, but
- 23:05this time the screen shows your future.
- 23:10The future doesn't have to be a year from now.
- 23:12It could be a day from now, an hour from now.
- 23:17But I want you to see yourself in the future with this same
- 23:23resourceful state. See yourself organizing your
- 23:28environment. Maybe see yourself wearing
- 23:32something that signifies your intent.
- 23:38See where you are. Maybe you're standing, maybe
- 23:43you're pacing, maybe you're wearing a headset.
- 23:48Maybe you're also capturing what's happening to use this for
- 23:51training or other types of content.
- 23:56I want you to see someone that isn't reluctantly doing this,
- 24:00see someone relishing this. They live for this.
- 24:08They wouldn't want anything but this.
- 24:12This is their calling card. This is their passion.
- 24:16And if you can see that future version of you in that state,
- 24:22let me know by nodding your head.
- 24:26Maybe you can see that almost like you've got X-ray vision.
- 24:30See that glowing shape there in that same location, that
- 24:33location of resourcefulness. And then step into that future
- 24:39version of you on that cinema screen and feel exactly how you
- 24:44would feel in the not too distant future.
- 24:50Feeling that way, doing those things almost.
- 24:56With this samurai mentality, there is more honour in facing
- 25:04the fiercest of warriors. You're looking for those
- 25:09difficult conversations, those tricky problems, objections.
- 25:17The more difficult, the more it makes you smile, the more
- 25:20resourceful you feel knowing that it brings out you your very
- 25:26best. In fact, imagine something
- 25:32really challenging and you relish it.
- 25:36You live for it. Imagine it going exactly as you
- 25:40want it to be, from that first person perspective, and you're
- 25:44capturing it knowing that this only adds to your reputation.
- 25:52This helps you train other people.
- 25:55This gives you irrefutable evidence that you are a prowling
- 26:01lion, not afraid to fight. You're the samurai that seeks
- 26:06out the battles. You walk your talk and if it
- 26:15feels like you've awakened that lion within, let me know by
- 26:18nodding your head. And now is the time to step out
- 26:26of that screen. Find yourself back on that sofa.
- 26:30But you leave the sofa, taking all of these feelings with you.
- 26:36You've reaccessed these strategies, feelings and
- 26:41emotions. And just imagine walking up that
- 26:44staircase as you walk through the door, find yourself back out
- 26:47on a sandy beach, confused but empowered, feeling like
- 26:55something wonderful is about to change in the very near future.
- 27:05As you harness all of these resources, it's time to take
- 27:09them back into the here and now. So take a deep breath in through
- 27:15your nose and and out through your nose.
- 27:20Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 27:22Connect with the here and now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00
- 27:27to awaken you. You will awaken feeling
- 27:29resourceful, confident, feeling that the lion has awakened.
- 27:36Starting to count 123 waking up 456, more alert. 7-8 Open your
- 27:44eyes, Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake, wide awake.
