Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay production.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We begin today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the
- 0:13Speaker 2: land on which we gather today and pay our respects
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Welcome to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:28Speaker 3: This is a podcast where we learn, laugh, and level
- 0:31Speaker 3: up together.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Let's go deep, let the emotions flow, and find the
- 0:34Speaker 4: lessons to grow and Glow. Nothing is off the table
- 0:37Speaker 4: with Grow and Glow and we're here to be your expander.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Hey guys, welcome back to Grow and Glow.
- 0:46Speaker 4: We are really different episodes. So you would have seen
- 0:48Speaker 4: the title mystery episode. It's because it's a mystery what
- 0:52Speaker 4: we're talking about. We have no idea. I'm nervous. Our
- 0:56Speaker 4: podcast producer is taken control. Yeah, we literally have no
- 0:59Speaker 4: idea what we're talking about.
- 1:00Speaker 3: No exciting, I know. So, I said a Katie, she's
- 1:04Speaker 3: got to share her share of the week.
- 1:06Speaker 4: It's not on us today for you. Let us know.
- 1:11Speaker 1: My share of the week is going to be something
- 1:14Speaker 1: that makes the best cheese toasty ever.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Oh so we all have cheese toasty yes this morning?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Make them? How we make them? You know what the
- 1:23Speaker 1: secret is? Mayo on the outside of the bread. What
- 1:29Speaker 1: go Mayo on the outside of the bread. Then you
- 1:32Speaker 1: put it in the cheese toasty maker and then you
- 1:35Speaker 1: wait until it goes crispy.
- 1:37Speaker 3: So no butter, no better thin thin like I need
- 1:39Speaker 3: to know how to do this thinly.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I would say good, a good layer okay, but not
- 1:45Speaker 1: too thin on both outside.
- 1:48Speaker 4: I'm not a massive Mayo person, but I'm tempted to
- 1:50Speaker 4: try it because the crispiness is getting me.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Is it CP Mayo that you use or like Mayo?
- 1:54Speaker 4: Mayo? Any Mayo? Okay, we're gonna try it. Try it.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Watch the space all right? What have you got for us?
- 2:02Speaker 4: What are we doing today?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna ask you the hard hitting questions that
- 2:07Speaker 1: I think people want to know, but it's gonna make
- 2:09Speaker 1: you really uncomfortable.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, wow, Okay, please do it, okay.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Question number one, how lucrative is social media and which
- 2:21Speaker 1: is the best money making platform.
- 2:24Speaker 4: It's different on every single platform. We were actually talking
- 2:26Speaker 4: about this this morning. So for you, it's YouTube. For me,
- 2:29Speaker 4: it's snapchat, yep, which is really interesting. Ye, Instagram is
- 2:33Speaker 4: more paid sponsorships.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Would you say, though, that your Instagram sponsorship's pay more
- 2:38Speaker 5: though than Snapchat.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yes, but a lot of brand's book a package that's
- 2:41Speaker 4: Snapchat and Instagram. Okay, but like week to week, I
- 2:45Speaker 4: make money off Snapchat just for being on there. You
- 2:48Speaker 4: make money from YouTube videos for just creating videos.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And I get paid more for my sponsorships on YouTube too,
- 2:53Speaker 3: because it normally longer the effort that needs to goree
- 2:56Speaker 3: in them and they're there forever, Whereas like a story's
- 2:59Speaker 3: gone in twenty four.
- 3:00Speaker 4: And Snapchat's only just started paying creators and there's only
- 3:02Speaker 4: one hundred and fifty of US Australia wide that are
- 3:04Speaker 4: getting paid. And in America you have to have over
- 3:06Speaker 4: fifty thousand subscribers to get on the Creative Fund, which
- 3:10Speaker 4: I do have. I have nearly I think less than
- 3:12Speaker 4: half a million on Snapchat. But it's pretty cool because
- 3:15Speaker 4: I've been on there for like probably ten years now.
- 3:17Speaker 4: It's in the last year I've actually started making money.
- 3:19Speaker 4: They just put ads in there now, so it's not
- 3:20Speaker 4: even in our control. But it's cool. But in America,
- 3:23Speaker 4: TikTok have a creative fund for all their creators, and
- 3:26Speaker 4: we don't get that in Australia no, but yeah, definitely,
- 3:28Speaker 4: sponsorships is where the big money is, and some brands
- 3:32Speaker 4: will pay more than others depending on if they book
- 3:34Speaker 4: a package, if they want you on one platform, multiple platforms,
- 3:37Speaker 4: even Instagram stories like one frame compared to three frames.
- 3:40Speaker 4: There's a lot of negotiations back and forth, and I
- 3:43Speaker 4: find if the brand books a bigger package there's more
- 3:45Speaker 4: of a discount. Do you work like that too, Yeah
- 3:48Speaker 4: obviously as well.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Like Ash's got a lot more followers than what I
- 3:52Speaker 5: have got, so our pays.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Would really differ.
- 3:54Speaker 1: How much money do you make from.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Just those platforms, not including like love elesros and Grow
- 3:59Speaker 5: and Glow and stuff.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Like that, like six figures plus?
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely through COVID, my influencer work was just making
- 4:05Speaker 4: more than my businesses.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah, which is just crazy. That's carried my business through
- 4:10Speaker 3: hard times.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's awesome because naturally most of the products
- 4:15Speaker 4: I would talk about anyway, So to be able to
- 4:18Speaker 4: work and get paid for brands that you talk about
- 4:19Speaker 4: naturally anyway, it's just so cool.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Give your followers a discount, like if they benefits everyone true,
- 4:25Speaker 5: then they get a discount as well.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll ask you a question. Is there a brand
- 4:28Speaker 4: that lately or just ever that has offered you big
- 4:31Speaker 4: money and you've said no, and why?
- 4:33Speaker 2: Oh?
- 4:33Speaker 5: Yeah, heaps of times if it's clashed with another brand
- 4:37Speaker 5: that I love and I use, Like, for example, I
- 4:38Speaker 5: get offered a lot skincare, but I'm loyal to the
- 4:41Speaker 5: brands that I use, And yeah, if I just haven't
- 4:44Speaker 5: liked the product, like people have actually sent me stuff
- 4:46Speaker 5: and I've used it and I've been like, oh nup,
- 4:48Speaker 5: don't like it, yeah, multiple multiple times, and then I
- 4:51Speaker 5: just it's just I'm not doing it.
- 4:53Speaker 4: I once got offered a lot of money. I think
- 4:55Speaker 4: it was like fifteen thousand dollars to promote this big
- 4:58Speaker 4: dial doo h really And I've said it before, but
- 5:00Speaker 4: I don't like big hard. It was this huge, like
- 5:02Speaker 4: hard big dildo and they wanted like a U tube video,
- 5:06Speaker 4: an exclusive one Instagram. And back then too, I just
- 5:09Speaker 4: wasn't very open with my sexuality and my sex life
- 5:12Speaker 4: and I was just like nope. And then there was
- 5:13Speaker 4: this booby tape that's not the brand, but it was
- 5:16Speaker 4: a brand that just did this tape that you put
- 5:18Speaker 4: on your boobs to lift them up. I gave me
- 5:20Speaker 4: blisters and like ripped on my tanelf and it was
- 5:22Speaker 4: just awful. But it was huge money. They wanted like
- 5:24Speaker 4: a twenty five thousand dollars contract. Yeah, and I was like, no,
- 5:28Speaker 4: it's literally ripping off my skin. But yeah, it's definitely
- 5:31Speaker 4: a huge industry now. So there's definitely a lot of
- 5:34Speaker 4: money to be made, but it ebbs and flows. Hey,
- 5:36Speaker 4: like sometimes it's not really there. And then podcasting, I mean,
- 5:40Speaker 4: we didn't make any money last year.
- 5:41Speaker 3: We paid we paid for record.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Yeah, we just had no idea about sponsorships or anything
- 5:47Speaker 4: like that. Or we had like a couple of sponsors,
- 5:49Speaker 4: but they paid for our fees to go and record. Yes,
- 5:52Speaker 4: Whereas yeah, this year will earn money for being on podcast,
- 5:55Speaker 4: which is pretty cool.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So would you say you're welcome by the way, would
- 5:59Speaker 1: you say, and Jay, would you say you could make
- 6:04Speaker 1: aside from your other brands, if you just did social
- 6:07Speaker 1: media only, you can make it very comfortable.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Oh yes, yeah, and a lot less stress. There has
- 6:12Speaker 4: been times where I'm like, do I want to run
- 6:15Speaker 4: a business because if I had more time to create content,
- 6:18Speaker 4: you know what, I'd probably be doing shit time, more traveling.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I would have way less stress, and it would be
- 6:23Speaker 4: so easy content creation, Like, definitely you have to be creative,
- 6:27Speaker 4: and there's still a lot of work involved, but it's
- 6:28Speaker 4: very fun, flowy in your own time kind of work.
- 6:32Speaker 5: And I feel like you know how you said it,
- 6:33Speaker 5: ebbs and flows. I feel like for it to be
- 6:35Speaker 5: that consistent income where it's working, And you'd also have
- 6:38Speaker 5: to make sure that you are constantly looking for work,
- 6:41Speaker 5: whereas like you kind of work similar to me, you
- 6:43Speaker 5: have an agency and they just like email when the
- 6:45Speaker 5: emails come through.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I've just signed with my first agency this week. I
- 6:48Speaker 4: was personally managed by my old PA and she's been great,
- 6:52Speaker 4: but I've just signed with the agency this week, So
- 6:53Speaker 4: I'm excited to see where that takes me in just
- 6:55Speaker 4: the connections and relationships they have already built with some
- 6:57Speaker 4: of the big brands that I want to work with. Yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 4: but we could easily live off the online money very
- 7:03Speaker 4: comfortably for sure.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Well that it's very interesting because it leads me to
- 7:07Speaker 1: my next question, what would you do if social media
- 7:11Speaker 1: disappeared tomorrow? So no Instagram, no Facebook, no TikTok, no snapchat.
- 7:15Speaker 1: What career would you go into?
- 7:17Speaker 4: You guys are gonna laugh so hard at this, but genuinely,
- 7:21Speaker 4: I reckon I would still look into this. It was
- 7:23Speaker 4: two jobs that I wanted to do growing up, with
- 7:24Speaker 4: being a police officer. The only thing that turns me
- 7:27Speaker 4: off now is the shift work. I didn't be doing
- 7:29Speaker 4: a night shift. I would struggle, but I've always been
- 7:32Speaker 4: very interested in that. And then, don't judge me. I
- 7:36Speaker 4: had such a cute job, but dog washing. I always
- 7:39Speaker 4: wanted to own my own dog wash and I could
- 7:40Speaker 4: still work my own hours. I get to be around
- 7:42Speaker 4: animals all day. They just like dogs and cats just
- 7:45Speaker 4: light me up. So I love animals. I don't know.
- 7:47Speaker 4: I just think i'd really enjoy that, meeting the people,
- 7:49Speaker 4: meeting the dogs and just giving them a wash. I
- 7:51Speaker 4: think it's such a cute, fun job. It's cute.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Yeah, something I honestly want to do, just because I
- 7:58Speaker 5: think it would be really cool. But also it would
- 8:00Speaker 5: be a great thing to do if something like that happened.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Is I would rent my house out and grow a
- 8:05Speaker 5: caravan and go traveling with my family and have somebody.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Else paying the bills by renting our house. I think
- 8:11Speaker 3: or if I had to actually get like.
- 8:13Speaker 4: The Kurt doesn't want to do that disease.
- 8:15Speaker 3: No, I think it'd be amazing memories.
- 8:17Speaker 4: It would be so cool.
- 8:18Speaker 5: When they get older, maybe I think it might change,
- 8:20Speaker 5: But otherwise, videography or photography for sure.
- 8:22Speaker 4: One thing I wanted to lean into. I'm not going
- 8:25Speaker 4: to but if social media wasn't a thing too is
- 8:27Speaker 4: after I gave birth to Tala, I think being a
- 8:30Speaker 4: birth photographer and videographer would be incredible. Like all my
- 8:33Speaker 4: friends that are pregnant, I'm like, do you want me
- 8:35Speaker 4: to come in and film from content? Just being there
- 8:37Speaker 4: to experience that moment with women I think is such
- 8:40Speaker 4: an honor and privilege and I just think it's the
- 8:42Speaker 4: most beautiful thing women giving birth. I would love to
- 8:45Speaker 4: help and assist and be a support system for women,
- 8:47Speaker 4: But I wouldn't want to be a midwife where once
- 8:49Speaker 4: again the shift work and four years of study, Like
- 8:51Speaker 4: I'm just at this age in my life where I
- 8:53Speaker 4: don't want to do that. But if I could go
- 8:55Speaker 4: back in time and I wasn't doing this, I reckon
- 8:56Speaker 4: being a midwife or a photographer for birthing would be incredible.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So how do you reckon you would go with the
- 9:03Speaker 1: lifestyle changes that potentially having those careers would bring in
- 9:09Speaker 1: in terms of nowhere near as much money.
- 9:11Speaker 4: You know what, if you'd ask me a year or
- 9:14Speaker 4: two ago, I would have had a very completely different
- 9:16Speaker 4: answer to now. But now, going through this health scare
- 9:19Speaker 4: and feeling really really stressed and overwhelmed and wanting to
- 9:23Speaker 4: slow down, I think I value more slow time with
- 9:27Speaker 4: my family rather than that hustle culture that I've been
- 9:30Speaker 4: in for so long. And I'm not putting that down.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I loved my hustle season, but I think I would
- 9:35Speaker 4: actually really enjoy a slower pace life and the more
- 9:39Speaker 4: not to put money down. But the more money you
- 9:41Speaker 4: have and the bigger your businesses and more success you have,
- 9:43Speaker 4: it also has the downfall of more stress, more overheads,
- 9:46Speaker 4: more things to worry about, more people needing you. I
- 9:48Speaker 4: think I would actually really enjoy it that the slower
- 9:51Speaker 4: pace life, because I've experienced and done so much with
- 9:55Speaker 4: having money and running businesses and stuff. I think there'd
- 9:58Speaker 4: be certain aspects that would be in adjustment maybe, but
- 10:01Speaker 4: I don't think I would hate it.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm like, honestly, I'm not a big spender if
- 10:06Speaker 5: I am buying something, I'm investing usually back in the business.
- 10:09Speaker 5: I'm not someone who really grows out and splurges much.
- 10:13Speaker 3: I feel like I'd honestly be living a very similar
- 10:16Speaker 3: lifestyle to what I am now. Like we don't really
- 10:18Speaker 3: travel too much, we don't really like right now. Well,
- 10:20Speaker 3: we've got little kids.
- 10:22Speaker 5: I mean, we have them in a good school, and
- 10:23Speaker 5: we have our home which we've been trying to pay
- 10:26Speaker 5: off and stuff like that. I think it would be
- 10:28Speaker 5: honestly very similar for me, because yeah, at the moment,
- 10:31Speaker 5: when you're growing a business, you just keep putting money
- 10:33Speaker 5: back into it, so we take our age and then
- 10:36Speaker 5: it's not our money.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 10:37Speaker 4: We're talking about school fees this morning, at our school fees.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I don't own school. Yeah, sell my house, have some
- 10:42Speaker 3: money in the bank again.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, just leaning on from that. Has there been a
- 10:49Speaker 1: particularly stressful situation where you've gone, let's just pack it
- 10:54Speaker 1: all in and do a nine to five god? Yeah?
- 10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 3: So many times?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Can you think of an example?
- 11:01Speaker 5: Just highly stressful times, like financially, trying to hold everything together,
- 11:05Speaker 5: and I think especially with having love Ellis Rose, there's
- 11:08Speaker 5: just so much output and you work so hard for it.
- 11:12Speaker 5: There's so much involved, even in the back end that
- 11:14Speaker 5: people wouldn't really probably think about social media, don't know,
- 11:17Speaker 5: or maybe sometimes the trolls when I'm just like fuck it,
- 11:20Speaker 5: I'm overhearing shit.
- 11:22Speaker 4: But when you put all that investment for that stock,
- 11:24Speaker 4: when you were just going to do your own deercands,
- 11:26Speaker 4: that was a big time for you.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Yeah, that was hundreds of thousands of dollars that we
- 11:29Speaker 5: invested in that when it was right before like everything
- 11:32Speaker 5: started to really shift with the RBA rate rises and
- 11:34Speaker 5: we were like, oh my gosh, and everything with COVID
- 11:37Speaker 5: got delayed, so it was meant to come like a
- 11:39Speaker 5: little bit here, a little bit there, a little bit there, all.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Turned up at once.
- 11:42Speaker 5: We had hundreds of thousand dollars of stock that we
- 11:44Speaker 5: had to move and we're like, oh my gosh. So yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 5: it was a stressful time for sure, But that is business.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And I think sometimes people think, you know, you're making
- 11:52Speaker 5: this money, you're doing these things, but like, fuck, there's
- 11:54Speaker 5: a lot of risk involved, and you know, you never
- 11:57Speaker 5: know how long everything's gonna last for and just enjoy
- 11:59Speaker 5: and be grateful for the seasons that you're in and.
- 12:02Speaker 4: You're always putting back into the business, Like you got
- 12:04Speaker 4: amazing launch, and then your next two collections, the down
- 12:08Speaker 4: payment's due, and then the full payment's due, and then
- 12:11Speaker 4: the shipping. It's I feel like you're always putting back
- 12:13Speaker 4: in and people don't realize that. But yeah, there's definitely
- 12:16Speaker 4: been times where I've just gone, this is just too hard.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I've just not made out for this. And I've always
- 12:23Speaker 4: said it and I'll still say it now. I would
- 12:25Speaker 4: not be running a business if I didn't have the
- 12:26Speaker 4: support of my husband. I'm not made to run a
- 12:28Speaker 4: business by myself. I don't think I have not putting
- 12:32Speaker 4: myself down, but I just don't think I have the
- 12:34Speaker 4: mental capacity and the knowledge and the skill set that
- 12:38Speaker 4: he does. We work really well together because we've both
- 12:41Speaker 4: got such strengths and weaknesses. But I had a business
- 12:44Speaker 4: partner for Baseline. They had their own hugely successful streetwear brand,
- 12:49Speaker 4: and then when they sold and I had a new
- 12:52Speaker 4: business partner, we bought our share off them, and that
- 12:54Speaker 4: was a lot of money to buy that out, and
- 12:57Speaker 4: then we also had to pay for the next six
- 12:59Speaker 4: months worth of stock, so it was just so much
- 13:02Speaker 4: money in and up. It was just such a huge risk,
- 13:05Speaker 4: sitting down and just be like, I will support you
- 13:06Speaker 4: with everything you want to do, but are you are
- 13:08Speaker 4: one hundred percent sure you are all in because we
- 13:11Speaker 4: are going all in baby, and you need to be
- 13:13Speaker 4: fully committed. And I was like yes, I mean, like,
- 13:16Speaker 4: let's do it, nothing else I want to do. I'm
- 13:18Speaker 4: prepared for the risk. But it's so scary. And that's
- 13:21Speaker 4: why always say owning a business is not for the
- 13:23Speaker 4: faint hearted. It's not for people that are not risk takers.
- 13:26Speaker 4: You have to be riskaken to be an entrepreneur. You
- 13:28Speaker 4: can't have certainty as your highest need.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and we can't take those big risks.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Sometimes flop and a lot of people thrive, Like Steve
- 13:35Speaker 4: not so much now he's gotten older with children, but
- 13:37Speaker 4: before that I feel like he would thrive on the uncertainty.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Certainty was like the last of his priorities. He would
- 13:43Speaker 4: thrive and like get off on the uncertainty of like risking.
- 13:47Speaker 4: And our business over the years is done really, really well,
- 13:50Speaker 4: so we have been able to take some big risk.
- 13:52Speaker 4: But for me growing up, certainty was a high need
- 13:55Speaker 4: of mine. My mum's got a very scarcity mindset around money,
- 13:58Speaker 4: so I feel like, I'm nicely balanced now, and so
- 14:00Speaker 4: is Steve. But yeah, you have to be quite a
- 14:02Speaker 4: risk taker and be prepared for real high highs and
- 14:05Speaker 4: really low lows. Yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Have any of those risks been so extreme that you
- 14:11Speaker 1: potentially could have lost everything?
- 14:12Speaker 3: Oh?
- 14:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent. Yep. And it's so scary.
- 14:16Speaker 4: And then I also like the embarrassment and shame that
- 14:19Speaker 4: when you share everything online, Like, how do you explain
- 14:22Speaker 4: that to your audience? Yeah, when I have those moments
- 14:24Speaker 4: where I'm like, fuck, this could flop or this could
- 14:27Speaker 4: not do well, how do you explain that to your audience?
- 14:29Speaker 4: It's really scary. And you're putting this once again, putting
- 14:32Speaker 4: yourself out there to share it all. It's fucking scary.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Hey, it's hard for people to tell, like their friends
- 14:39Speaker 5: and family when they're going through hard times.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yeah, let alone.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Like, and people don't talk about this, so it's not normalized.
- 14:45Speaker 4: No one talks about the hard times and the stress
- 14:48Speaker 4: and even just cash flow. I never hear anyone talk
- 14:50Speaker 4: about cash flong business. It's hard. It's so hard to
- 14:54Speaker 4: understand and manage and forecast, Like, it's really stressful. But
- 14:58Speaker 4: I don't ever hear any business owners talk about that
- 15:00Speaker 4: because I think it's the one thing most people really
- 15:02Speaker 4: struggle with. But yeah, there's definitely been times over the years.
- 15:05Speaker 4: We've been in business for over fifteen years now, there's
- 15:08Speaker 4: definitely been moments where I'm like, fuck, yeah, this is it.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah, And have you had anything that you've launched or
- 15:16Speaker 1: something that you've done that has been a failure and
- 15:19Speaker 1: potentially lost your money?
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:22Speaker 5: I started this bracelet brand that I had. We had
- 15:26Speaker 5: an idea, so we went to Tarongazoo and I was like,
- 15:28Speaker 5: how annoying is it like trying to watch the kids?
- 15:30Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Somebody went missing, Like we need to like write our
- 15:34Speaker 5: number or something on them. Then we're like, what if
- 15:35Speaker 5: it gets rubbed off? We just had a pence. We
- 15:37Speaker 5: made bracelets with like phone numbers, so it's kind of
- 15:39Speaker 5: like an ID bracelet. When you go new idea, when
- 15:41Speaker 5: you go to certain places.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Launched it. Fucking trolls went off.
- 15:45Speaker 4: And you even actually told me this story because I
- 15:47Speaker 4: kind of assumed, but you're really emotional, so I just
- 15:50Speaker 4: didn't bring.
- 15:50Speaker 3: It up because I thought it was a cool idea.
- 15:53Speaker 4: I think it's genius, But what actually happened.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Were like, what if it falls apart and my kid chokes.
- 15:57Speaker 5: This is so fucking stupid. Blah blah blah. I could
- 15:59Speaker 5: go make one of these for a dollar. There was
- 16:01Speaker 5: so much outside noise and it got me. I was like,
- 16:03Speaker 5: shut the whole fucking thing down. Paid for all the
- 16:06Speaker 5: stuff I had been doing, like il read, done, all
- 16:08Speaker 5: the photo shoes, organized the whole thing, and I could
- 16:10Speaker 5: not handle the trolls with that one.
- 16:11Speaker 4: That night I.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Bawled and I was like, remember, I'm like I'm.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Just shutting it down before it even and you know,
- 16:16Speaker 5: every business starts off somewhere and over the years you
- 16:18Speaker 5: get better, you improve, you change things. But it was
- 16:20Speaker 5: like I was just so fucking slammed, and there was
- 16:23Speaker 5: so much outside noise and I was like, this is
- 16:25Speaker 5: not worth my mental health.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Cy you know, I broke my heart with that. Was
- 16:29Speaker 4: when I was crying to Steve. Actually that night you
- 16:31Speaker 4: went online so made you cry now, but you went
- 16:35Speaker 4: on and you were like, oh, you've won, and I
- 16:38Speaker 4: was like so angry. I'm getting so much. I was
- 16:43Speaker 4: like so angry that they had won because you I
- 16:45Speaker 4: thought this side team was great and I've seen the
- 16:47Speaker 4: work that you put in. I just hate if outside noise,
- 16:52Speaker 4: fucking Karens like, do get the better of us? Because
- 16:56Speaker 4: we work so hard on everything that we do. We
- 16:58Speaker 4: put so much money and time and sacrifice so much.
- 17:01Speaker 4: And that night you launched to be like an hour
- 17:03Speaker 4: or too late. They won or it was like no,
- 17:06Speaker 4: And even Steve's like, oh, I wish you didn't even
- 17:08Speaker 4: go on and say that, because they get what they
- 17:09Speaker 4: want and now they're feeding off that, you know, they
- 17:12Speaker 4: go into the forums. And I was so like upset
- 17:14Speaker 4: and I was like, you fuckers, I didn't and just
- 17:16Speaker 4: so protective as her best friend. I was like, fuckers
- 17:19Speaker 4: like and it was nothing that I could do. Like
- 17:21Speaker 4: you know when you're getting that warrior like protector kind
- 17:25Speaker 4: of energy, I feel that with you online because I
- 17:27Speaker 4: know how hard it can be.
- 17:29Speaker 5: And I was so upset, and that's a place at
- 17:31Speaker 5: the time you were going through it, I was going
- 17:33Speaker 5: through it, and I was like.
- 17:34Speaker 4: And that's why I never even bought it up again,
- 17:35Speaker 4: because I was just like, this is just too much.
- 17:37Speaker 4: But I was really angry at the time. Now the
- 17:39Speaker 4: emotion's coming up, I'm.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Actually annoyed looking back at myself because I had really
- 17:43Speaker 5: good ideas for the future and how I wanted to
- 17:46Speaker 5: but anyway, I was just like, yeah, not worth it.
- 17:50Speaker 4: We opened a cafe and we went into partnership with
- 17:54Speaker 4: another couple and we invested all the money in. We
- 17:57Speaker 4: didn't have the time to run the cafe, but we
- 17:58Speaker 4: invested all the money into the cafe and they were
- 18:01Speaker 4: to run it, and it was all fifty to fifty
- 18:02Speaker 4: split share and one of the owners, who was like
- 18:05Speaker 4: the main chef and organize that, she literally decided one
- 18:08Speaker 4: day She's not going to turn up and go to
- 18:09Speaker 4: work anymore. It was too much for her. So she left,
- 18:12Speaker 4: like all our staff, all these customers everything to run
- 18:15Speaker 4: and just never came back. And we were like, you
- 18:18Speaker 4: can't just walk out on a business, but we couldn't
- 18:20Speaker 4: contact her, and her partner was like, obviously, really apologetic.
- 18:23Speaker 4: He came in and tried to sort it out and everything,
- 18:25Speaker 4: but very quickly we had to close it down and
- 18:27Speaker 4: we lost a lot of money, and I felt so
- 18:30Speaker 4: embarrassed that this had failed. But it wasn't my forte.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I never wanted to work in the cafe. I had
- 18:34Speaker 4: my gym, I had other things going on, and I
- 18:36Speaker 4: didn't have the skill set to even run a cafe,
- 18:38Speaker 4: but it was just like so much went into it
- 18:42Speaker 4: and it was closed down pretty quickly afterwards, and was
- 18:45Speaker 4: so disappointed in how that worked out. But it was
- 18:48Speaker 4: just so many lessons and that like, if you go
- 18:50Speaker 4: into business with someone, you really have to know them
- 18:53Speaker 4: so well, know their strengths, know their weaknesses, talk about
- 18:56Speaker 4: worst case scenarios, discuss so many finances, and I think
- 18:59Speaker 4: we just jumped into it like with too much excitement
- 19:02Speaker 4: and like, oh fuck, what's the worst that can happen?
- 19:03Speaker 4: And it just felt so at the time, but not
- 19:06Speaker 4: really knowing them well enough. And obviously she had her
- 19:09Speaker 4: own stuff going on, and like, you know, looking back,
- 19:11Speaker 4: have so much compassion for whatever was happening for her,
- 19:13Speaker 4: and we want to know what it's like when you're overwhelmed.
- 19:16Speaker 4: So it's fine, I don't hold any anger or guilt,
- 19:18Speaker 4: but at the time, it was like fuck. And then
- 19:20Speaker 4: I had to jump online and explain all of this.
- 19:22Speaker 4: I felt like it just landed back on me because
- 19:25Speaker 4: no one looks at who's behind the business. They just
- 19:26Speaker 4: look at the face of and it was like, ash,
- 19:28Speaker 4: she's cleaneding cafe. So I definitely think that was probably
- 19:32Speaker 4: my biggest family in business. But when it comes to
- 19:34Speaker 4: products and things, most things that I've done have done
- 19:37Speaker 4: really really well, and I'm really proud of that.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Have you ever had moments of going Last month was great?
- 19:43Speaker 1: But fuck, look at this month?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, all the time? The first quarter of every year. Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 4: well yeah, every time, and every time. Even Steve this year,
- 19:52Speaker 4: we were talking about it and I'm like, he was
- 19:54Speaker 4: stressing about something. We were just discussing something, and I'm like,
- 19:56Speaker 4: this happens every year. It's always the first quarter. And
- 19:59Speaker 4: he's doing this online course and there's thousands of other
- 20:02Speaker 4: business owners that do this course and they all talk
- 20:04Speaker 4: together in this form and he's like ninety five percent
- 20:07Speaker 4: of them all in this community chat just talking about
- 20:10Speaker 4: how hard it is right now. Every single business owner
- 20:12Speaker 4: is struggling and sales alone, and you're coming off the
- 20:15Speaker 4: back end of Black Friday and Christmas sales and Boxing
- 20:17Speaker 4: Day sales, and everyone's gone on holidays and spent all
- 20:20Speaker 4: their money, so that jan February is just really quiet,
- 20:23Speaker 4: but you don't have the money.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Is living too?
- 20:25Speaker 4: Yes, so high, but you do see it pick up
- 20:27Speaker 4: in quarter two, quarter three is amazing. Yeah, in quarter
- 20:30Speaker 4: four is like okay, but around that Black Friday is
- 20:33Speaker 4: what a lot of business is based, like their whole
- 20:35Speaker 4: business around now. They plan it out and that's like
- 20:38Speaker 4: the biggest one where they make so much money. But yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 4: the first quarter, I feel is just.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Every year, I feel like I like no, and then
- 20:45Speaker 3: you're like, oh, I forgot what this is like.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Yeah, and last year Steve and I like put different
- 20:49Speaker 4: things in place for a hideaway, particularly to help support
- 20:54Speaker 4: that harder period. But then it's also I watched Steve
- 20:57Speaker 4: and this year he's like come up with all new
- 20:59Speaker 4: marketing strategies that have actually done really really well amazing.
- 21:03Speaker 4: So he's done so good this year ye to tackle
- 21:05Speaker 4: that hard a time with just being really innovative and creative,
- 21:08Speaker 4: and he's just got that marketing brain, which is quite
- 21:11Speaker 4: a cool skill set that a lot of business owners
- 21:13Speaker 4: don't have because a lot of business owners you're doing
- 21:15Speaker 4: it all bay yourself at the start. But his strength
- 21:17Speaker 4: is like marketing. So yeah, have.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You ever had a moment of catastrophizing everything and going,
- 21:24Speaker 1: oh my god, how are we going to pay for
- 21:26Speaker 1: the mortgage next month?
- 21:27Speaker 3: Definitely?
- 21:28Speaker 5: I think there's been moments where we've been like oh
- 21:30Speaker 5: my gosh, like you know, all happening at once, or
- 21:32Speaker 5: even you know, things popping up if they break, like
- 21:35Speaker 5: when we.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Had the shop and stuff like that. But I'll tell
- 21:37Speaker 3: you what, it always fucking works out. Every time I'm like,
- 21:41Speaker 3: oh my fucking goah blah blah.
- 21:42Speaker 5: It's like I just win this job, all this happens,
- 21:43Speaker 5: all that happens, and I'm like, Universe has got my back,
- 21:46Speaker 5: and now I feel like I don't get you know,
- 21:48Speaker 5: so frazzled. I just trust and I go it's gonna
- 21:51Speaker 5: be okay, It'll work out.
- 21:52Speaker 3: And if it doesn't, then manifest, pivot whatever.
- 21:56Speaker 4: In Yeah. One piece of advice I got from Tony
- 21:58Speaker 4: Robbins years ago. We did his Platinum course and it's
- 22:01Speaker 4: basically like a small selected few people that you pay
- 22:04Speaker 4: a big amount of it and you're part of his
- 22:06Speaker 4: groups called Platinum. You go on different trips with him
- 22:08Speaker 4: and on one of the trips it was in Fiji
- 22:10Speaker 4: and we just overnight lost our Facebook page. They took
- 22:14Speaker 4: it down. I had over a million people on there.
- 22:16Speaker 4: We'd spent hundreds of thousand dollars advertising on this page
- 22:18Speaker 4: building it up. This was back in the day when
- 22:20Speaker 4: the algorithm was just everything. You posted your whole audience
- 22:23Speaker 4: source everything. We posted our diet plans and programs sold
- 22:26Speaker 4: like crazy. We were absolutely killing it, and overnight Facebook
- 22:29Speaker 4: took our page down no explanation. We had staff members,
- 22:32Speaker 4: we had to let them go because their job's gone overnight.
- 22:35Speaker 4: And that day we actually got to ask Tony one question,
- 22:39Speaker 4: and Steve stood up and said, because we were panicking,
- 22:42Speaker 4: we were like, our Facebook page has been taken down.
- 22:44Speaker 4: We've got staff to look after. This is our income.
- 22:46Speaker 4: And he's like, oh, so you've got one leg to
- 22:48Speaker 4: stand on, and we were like, yeah, that's our business.
- 22:51Speaker 4: And he was like, never ever have one leg to
- 22:53Speaker 4: stand off. You have nine. So if one breaks, if
- 22:56Speaker 4: two breaks, you've got seven others. And ever since then,
- 22:59Speaker 4: that is stuck in my brain and when people say
- 23:01Speaker 4: to me, like, oh, how do you keep up with
- 23:03Speaker 4: all the platforms, I'm like, because I need nine legs
- 23:05Speaker 4: to stand on, and I will always invest energy into
- 23:07Speaker 4: each of the platforms. And I've always got my toes
- 23:10Speaker 4: dipped in other little businesses, like over the years, like
- 23:12Speaker 4: I've invested to my friend's businesses, got them started, and
- 23:14Speaker 4: like I feel like I've got lots of different things happening,
- 23:17Speaker 4: So one falls over, I'm like, cool, I've got other
- 23:19Speaker 4: legs to stand on. And it's been one of the
- 23:22Speaker 4: best pieces of advices I've ever been given. So if
- 23:25Speaker 4: one business isn't doing great, I find another one can
- 23:27Speaker 4: help carry it over. Yeah, Like, if one business has
- 23:30Speaker 4: got huge whels coming in and it's the first quarter,
- 23:33Speaker 4: like cool, use of my influencing money to help that
- 23:35Speaker 4: or support that or whatever, and it just does kind
- 23:37Speaker 4: of intertwines, but it does always work out.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You've both had your fair share of trolls. What's been
- 23:44Speaker 1: the worst thing that anyone's ever said to you online?
- 23:47Speaker 5: Worst thing mine was when I just literally had my miscarriage.
- 23:52Speaker 5: I was still bleeding and I was so upset. So
- 23:57Speaker 5: when I had my miscarriage, I actually had an ectopic
- 23:58Speaker 5: pregnancy where the egg implanted in my tube and they
- 24:01Speaker 5: had to remove one of my tubes as well.
- 24:03Speaker 3: At the same time.
- 24:04Speaker 5: This is after having Miller, and I was just fucking
- 24:07Speaker 5: down in the dumps, and I got a message come
- 24:10Speaker 5: through on YouTube and it said you deserve this miscarriage,
- 24:13Speaker 5: Like you piece of shit, blah blah blah, You're not
- 24:16Speaker 5: even married yet and trying to have children. When I
- 24:18Speaker 5: first read it, I was just like, what the fuck
- 24:22Speaker 5: is wrong with people? Like I'm sitting here in my
- 24:25Speaker 5: own blood, I've just lost a baby, lost a tube,
- 24:29Speaker 5: don't even know how my fertility is going to be
- 24:31Speaker 5: going forward, and you're here saying such vile things to me.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I was just like, as you stay online and you
- 24:37Speaker 3: get used to.
- 24:38Speaker 5: It, you just go like, wow, I feel so bad,
- 24:40Speaker 5: Like imagine that angry, imagine somebody coming up or somebody
- 24:43Speaker 5: saying having miscarriage and how that, like you know, all
- 24:46Speaker 5: this stuff's happened, and just being.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Like you deserve that, you piece of shit, Like wow,
- 24:50Speaker 3: what a sad, sad life to live to be that person.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Man. Yeah, I'm trying to think of one particular one,
- 24:57Speaker 4: but I just think definitely things about my kids. Well,
- 25:00Speaker 4: they just diagnose my kids online with different things and
- 25:03Speaker 4: call them ugly name. And then I was talking to
- 25:06Speaker 4: Steve the other day. I don't know how it came up.
- 25:08Speaker 4: We're just talking about the message I got or something,
- 25:10Speaker 4: and he was like, oh, yeah, when you used to
- 25:12Speaker 4: go away, people used to always message me and say
- 25:14Speaker 4: that you're cheating, and they'd see new cheat on me.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I was like, what anyone that knows me like that.
- 25:18Speaker 4: It's not in my bones, it's not in my DNA, Like,
- 25:20Speaker 4: it's just not something I would ever do to Steve.
- 25:22Speaker 4: And I was like really, I was like, why didn't
- 25:24Speaker 4: you come to me? And it's like, because I don't
- 25:25Speaker 4: believe it, Like there's nothing to talk to you about.
- 25:27Speaker 4: I don't believe someone online in a fake profile telling
- 25:29Speaker 4: me that you're out doing this and that. I was like, Wow,
- 25:32Speaker 4: that is awful, And what kind of place do you
- 25:34Speaker 4: need to be mentally do on potentially ruin a marriage
- 25:38Speaker 4: and break up a family for what gossip? What the
- 25:41Speaker 4: fuck do you get out of that? Like, I just
- 25:43Speaker 4: can't understand or put myself in a place to be
- 25:47Speaker 4: understanding of why someone would do that. I was like,
- 25:50Speaker 4: oh my gosh, I can't believe you didn't tell me
- 25:52Speaker 4: about these. It's like, oh, what's the point. I don't
- 25:54Speaker 4: think you do that to me? So all good? It's like, geez, crazy,
- 25:58Speaker 4: How do.
- 25:58Speaker 1: You really feel deep down when people say things about
- 26:01Speaker 1: your kids?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Just sad? Sad would be the biggest emotion that comes
- 26:07Speaker 4: through a little bit of anger. But I just hope
- 26:10Speaker 4: that like Taj never reads any of that about him.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Like people they say he's autistic and he's this and that,
- 26:15Speaker 4: and I'm like, even if he was autistic, why are
- 26:17Speaker 4: you bullying him for that? You know, like, why do
- 26:20Speaker 4: you think that's okay to pick out someone's disability or difference. Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 4: it's just awful, Like it should be a blanket rule
- 26:27Speaker 4: that you just well, don't make comments about anyone but children, Yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 4: like they're children.
- 26:32Speaker 3: The main thing I get is about Mills left.
- 26:35Speaker 5: I'll get people just going, what's wrong with her lip?
- 26:37Speaker 5: What's wrong with her nose? You'll like, just absolutely horrible.
- 26:40Speaker 5: I don't even want to say it. Yeah, it makes
- 26:42Speaker 5: you really upset, really angry. And that's like the one
- 26:47Speaker 5: thing where I'm like.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Because you just do anything to protect your kid's emotional
- 26:51Speaker 4: peace and keep them happy, and sometimes you feel like
- 26:54Speaker 4: you can't protect them from the world. And I know
- 26:55Speaker 4: people like, oh, don't put them online then, but this
- 26:58Speaker 4: is a part of our lifestyle. This is a part
- 26:59Speaker 4: of what we do, and our kids do love being
- 27:01Speaker 4: on the cameras sometimes. And I'm also not just going
- 27:03Speaker 4: to shelter them from the big bad world, like I
- 27:06Speaker 4: want them to build resilience, and to teach them about
- 27:08Speaker 4: human psychology and why people do what they do. And
- 27:10Speaker 4: this is just something that we all have to deal
- 27:12Speaker 4: with unfortunately, whether that's online or in the workplace or
- 27:15Speaker 4: different relationships, they're going to have to navigate so many
- 27:17Speaker 4: different things. I don't think he's ever anything, but if
- 27:19Speaker 4: they ever come to that point where someone says something
- 27:21Speaker 4: to him, I would just use it as a learning
- 27:22Speaker 4: opportunity to teach him and support him. And my biggest
- 27:25Speaker 4: goal and I heard Gary Ve say this when someone
- 27:28Speaker 4: asked him about her fears around having teenage girls on
- 27:31Speaker 4: social media. He just said, there's nothing you can do
- 27:34Speaker 4: to control the outside world. He's like, my number one
- 27:37Speaker 4: goal is a parent and now this is mine too,
- 27:39Speaker 4: is you build so much confidence within your kids, no
- 27:42Speaker 4: matter what age they are, so that when they grow
- 27:44Speaker 4: up and someone says something, it doesn't even go on
- 27:46Speaker 4: their head because they know who they are. They're so
- 27:48Speaker 4: confident someone says, oh, you're dumb and ugly, they'd be
- 27:50Speaker 4: like cool, see yeah, Like but if you're not confident,
- 27:53Speaker 4: like I was not a confident kid or a teenager
- 27:56Speaker 4: because of my stepdad always putting me down and tell
- 27:58Speaker 4: me how dumb I was, so when someone else would
- 28:00Speaker 4: say that, it would just tear me apart. You can
- 28:02Speaker 4: imagine if you were built up from such a young age,
- 28:05Speaker 4: you were smart, you were strong, you're brave that they
- 28:07Speaker 4: would just walk out like any situation. They know that,
- 28:10Speaker 4: so it's not going to shake them. That's such good advice, right,
- 28:13Speaker 4: build that in a confidence that nothing can shake them.
- 28:15Speaker 5: And even knowledge like them understanding because like I feel
- 28:18Speaker 5: like Milla, she's a very logical person. I f like
- 28:20Speaker 5: explaining to her white people do things, yes will help her.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 28:25Speaker 1: What's the one thing you would do if you knew
- 28:28Speaker 1: you could get away with it?
- 28:29Speaker 3: I'd rob a bank?
- 28:34Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, if everyone's like you do what you want,
- 28:36Speaker 5: like no repercussions, whatever you want, I'd be like, yeah,
- 28:38Speaker 5: I'm getting like millions, I'll give one to you, one
- 28:40Speaker 5: to you.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that's a good one.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Is there anything you would do to those people that
- 28:46Speaker 1: say horrible things about your kids?
- 28:50Speaker 5: Oh?
- 28:51Speaker 4: I wouldn't want to like get back in them, but
- 28:52Speaker 4: I would like force them to go to fucking therapy.
- 28:54Speaker 3: That's exactly what I was thinking. Yeah, have them be
- 28:58Speaker 3: you for a day.
- 28:59Speaker 4: You know, what I'd probably, oh, probably enforce a lot
- 29:04Speaker 4: more harsher penalties for pedophiles. I think sometimes I don't
- 29:11Speaker 4: know why. I think there's a bigger rabbit hole you
- 29:13Speaker 4: can go into. I'm not going to go into because
- 29:14Speaker 4: it's very controversial, but I think sometimes they're a little
- 29:16Speaker 4: bit more protected than what they should be and there's
- 29:20Speaker 4: not as much accountability for them. But nothing makes me
- 29:25Speaker 4: more angrier than things happening to little kids.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Yeah, torturing pedophiles the bank.
- 29:33Speaker 4: I didn't stay torturing, but hey.
- 29:36Speaker 1: What's the guilty pleasure that goes against everything you believe in?
- 29:40Speaker 1: You have to be honest here.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Levi Levi Levi that it's all I think about when I
- 29:44Speaker 4: think about this. I love pepsi Max. There you go.
- 29:49Speaker 4: I love pepsi Max.
- 29:50Speaker 2: You know what.
- 29:50Speaker 4: And I used to be that person that's like, I
- 29:52Speaker 4: never drink soft drink. I never drink soft drink. And
- 29:54Speaker 4: then I was pregnant with Tala and at my girlfriend
- 29:57Speaker 4: Da Deane's house and she was also pregnant. I was like, oh,
- 30:00Speaker 4: I'm really thirsty, and she was like, oh I have
- 30:02Speaker 4: She had cordial and soda water, and I was like, oh,
- 30:04Speaker 4: she's like, what a Pepsi Max? And I was like,
- 30:06Speaker 4: I don't drink soft drinks. She's like, just trust me,
- 30:08Speaker 4: so refreshing. I was like, I'm really thirsty in and
- 30:10Speaker 4: I wanted something flavorsome. Took a sip and I was like, Wow,
- 30:14Speaker 4: this is delicious, but it's obviously just so bad for you.
- 30:17Speaker 4: So I carry a bit of shame around that because
- 30:19Speaker 4: I'm obviously like a person that values her health. But yeah,
- 30:23Speaker 4: I definitely love a Pepsi Max. And it's not pepsi too,
- 30:26Speaker 4: it's Pepsi Max. There's a big taste difference. And don't
- 30:28Speaker 4: even like coke Cokes gross, but Pepsi Max.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:34Speaker 5: Well, something that I hold a bit of shame around
- 30:37Speaker 5: is when I was in my low lows, I was
- 30:40Speaker 5: literally drinking like a bottle of red wine at night.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I think that's just so relatable for so many people.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Just to get through when it was the lead up,
- 30:46Speaker 5: like the two weeks before the wedding, just completely numbing
- 30:50Speaker 5: out with alcohol. How long did it last a whole
- 30:55Speaker 5: because we had the wedding, so it happened two weeks
- 30:57Speaker 5: before the wedding, and that's when we started like doing
- 30:59Speaker 5: it to just cope, and then afterwards doing on a honeymoon,
- 31:02Speaker 5: and then the last day of the honeymoon, I like
- 31:04Speaker 5: had a full fuck and mental breakdown.
- 31:06Speaker 3: And we end up coming home earlier.
- 31:08Speaker 5: I feel like it took a while, and then all
- 31:09Speaker 5: of a sudden we were like, no, so I went
- 31:12Speaker 5: cold turkey for a bit.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Wow when cold Turkey, Like, let's just stop for a while.
- 31:17Speaker 5: And yeah, now I still love having my glass of wine,
- 31:19Speaker 5: but I'm definitely not drinking a bottle every night.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Like that was Monday to Friday in question?
- 31:23Speaker 4: Did it the next day? Were you hungover? Yeah?
- 31:26Speaker 5: I definitely felt shit, but I didn't care because I
- 31:29Speaker 5: was so upset or so hurt.
- 31:30Speaker 4: You felt shit anyway? Helped it?
- 31:31Speaker 5: Anyway?
- 31:32Speaker 3: I seeded to, Yeah, I.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Want to feel it. Imagine me drinking a bottle of wine.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I'd probably have to go to hospital and get my stomach.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Pa, I'm doing it Monday to Friday.
- 31:42Speaker 4: My mom used to do that. She listened to the podcast,
- 31:44Speaker 4: and she wrote, mom, me sharing, but she doesn't drink anymore.
- 31:46Speaker 4: She hasn't drank it over a year. But I reckon
- 31:48Speaker 4: growing up, I would see her down a bottle of
- 31:50Speaker 4: wine or two most nights easily too. Yeah, like easily. Yeah,
- 31:53Speaker 4: I know a couple of people as well, but yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 4: I have a lot of men too that just chucked
- 31:57Speaker 4: down like a six pack every night easily.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I haven't never shared that before.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I reckon.
- 32:02Speaker 5: It's until I started to do therapy, so once I
- 32:05Speaker 5: had the balls of actually like going through all the
- 32:07Speaker 5: shit to be like, wow, I need to get help.
- 32:10Speaker 5: I feel like I would have done it that whole time,
- 32:12Speaker 5: but I feel like that time my life is just
- 32:13Speaker 5: such a blur. You know.
- 32:15Speaker 3: It was a year and a half ago and it
- 32:16Speaker 3: was probably fucking drunk half the time.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And did you incur drink together a hlgh night.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Yeah, both massively coping and I think two because the
- 32:24Speaker 5: two weeks out before, like when everything happened to flowing
- 32:26Speaker 5: out of my family. It was two weeks to our wedding,
- 32:28Speaker 5: and our wedding was at their house, so we had
- 32:30Speaker 5: to relocate the entire ventue.
- 32:31Speaker 3: It was just so much stress.
- 32:33Speaker 4: So much to organize, so much stress. Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 3: So yeah, and then afterwards I.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Was like, have it in my backyard because I've got
- 32:39Speaker 4: a massive backyard. I was like, my backyard's huge. We
- 32:42Speaker 4: can get a marque, I can organize the tables.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Yeah, but I really parked all my emotions to the
- 32:46Speaker 5: side so I could actually get through and have the wedding.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Yeah, so I could cope with the day. I enjoyed
- 32:51Speaker 4: the day.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I just parked everything to the side. And then
- 32:54Speaker 5: the honeymoon came up after that and I was like,
- 32:55Speaker 5: I want to really enjoy this. So that would have
- 32:57Speaker 5: been a couple of weeks after the wedding, So yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 5: would have at least had to be I think a
- 33:01Speaker 5: solid two or three months.
- 33:02Speaker 1: And the next day when you felt shit, will you
- 33:04Speaker 1: still thinking I'm looking forward to having a wine tonight.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I was just crying every day.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I'm going to go a bit more lighthearted. Now is
- 33:16Speaker 1: my last question. Have you ever thought about doing only fans?
- 33:21Speaker 4: What a question? No, not seriously, but I have joked
- 33:27Speaker 4: to Steve, like in a harder time, I did say
- 33:30Speaker 4: it them. God, I reckon if I started an only
- 33:32Speaker 4: fans I reckon with that many nosy people that I
- 33:35Speaker 4: would probably make a million bucks. And twenty four hours
- 33:37Speaker 4: He's like, he actually probably would, So I would never
- 33:40Speaker 4: actually do it, Like, it's not something I want to share,
- 33:43Speaker 4: but it's crazy, like, I know quite a few girls
- 33:45Speaker 4: on there that are making bank. Oh yeah, making bank.
- 33:49Speaker 3: It's really really funny.
- 33:50Speaker 5: A lot of people don't know this, but there's a
- 33:51Speaker 5: bit of an obsession on the internet with my feet,
- 33:54Speaker 5: and it's been a thing that's been going on probably
- 33:55Speaker 5: a few years now.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I actually asked KR if I could look at a feet. Yes,
- 33:58Speaker 4: I was like, do you have a really nice.
- 34:01Speaker 3: They're just small?
- 34:02Speaker 5: I don't know anyway, So there's nearly messages on love
- 34:07Speaker 5: a Fan, there's a fan pages all like close ups
- 34:10Speaker 5: it's killed Kiro's tand line and feet picks, and then
- 34:13Speaker 5: there's just comments constantly has to delete them on loveless
- 34:16Speaker 5: rows about my feet. I see them on my YouTube. Ever,
- 34:19Speaker 5: I go, it's always my fucking feet. So I said,
- 34:21Speaker 5: if I ever needed to, I could do only fans
- 34:24Speaker 5: for my feet. Everyone else is zooming up and got
- 34:26Speaker 5: the photos online for anyway, It's.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Not something I don't think i'd have the confidence.
- 34:30Speaker 3: And I don't think I would actually do it only
- 34:33Speaker 3: my feet though.
- 34:33Speaker 1: No, No, what about if everything went bad and you
- 34:37Speaker 1: lost all your businesses and Instagram shut down?
- 34:40Speaker 3: If it's just my feet?
- 34:41Speaker 4: Fuck yet?
- 34:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I never wear shoes, so everyone always sees my feet.
- 34:46Speaker 1: What about selling used underwear?
- 34:49Speaker 4: I didn't even know that was the thing?
- 34:50Speaker 3: Is that actually actually thing?
- 34:52Speaker 4: Wow? I've honestly never thought about it, but like, why
- 34:55Speaker 4: not as.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Long as you're anonymous, like, as long as I don't
- 34:58Speaker 3: know who you are, do.
- 34:59Speaker 4: They just sniff it? It's fucking weird. Gross. I couldn't
- 35:04Speaker 4: think of anything worse. S if someone's.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Dirty, and apparently it's like the dirty the better. So
- 35:08Speaker 5: if you've like corn sweating at the gym and that
- 35:10Speaker 5: you're getting to pay more money?
- 35:11Speaker 4: No, yeah, you know what, Like I don't think i'd
- 35:14Speaker 4: ever do it, But fucking good on the girls that
- 35:16Speaker 4: are making thanks for selling their dirty underwear. That's fucking amazing.
- 35:20Speaker 4: If they're making money from doing.
- 35:21Speaker 3: That, wow, good money from doing it, that's cool.
- 35:25Speaker 1: The air hostesses get asked for their tights for their stockings.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, you go that's a thing. Yeah wow,
- 35:34Speaker 4: the more you know, oh my gosh, yeah, my mind's
- 35:36Speaker 4: like blown.
- 35:37Speaker 1: That's all my questions. Thank you for opening up.
