- 0:00Speaker 1: She's on the Money.
- 0:02Speaker 2: She's on the Money.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hello, and welcome to She's on the Money, the podcast
- 0:16Speaker 3: for millennials who want financial freedom. This is our Friday
- 0:20Speaker 3: Drinks episode where we celebrate the money wins from our
- 0:23Speaker 3: She's on the Money community, because there are so many
- 0:26Speaker 3: great money wins going through the community each and every
- 0:28Speaker 3: single week, and we spend a very big part of
- 0:31Speaker 3: our week talking about the special happenings of the group.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So Friday's is all about celebrating you and having a
- 0:36Speaker 3: more positive and constructive conversation around money. So let's jump
- 0:40Speaker 3: right into today's episode because I know from the conversation
- 0:44Speaker 3: that's been going on around this table this evening that
- 0:46Speaker 3: it is going to be a good year. We are
- 0:48Speaker 3: going to go through our Facebook Marketplace money wins, my
- 0:51Speaker 3: favorite thing ever.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I know.
- 0:53Speaker 3: This was definitely initiated by Jesse Garci And for those
- 0:57Speaker 3: of you wondering, no, it's not sponsored. We're just hype
- 1:00Speaker 3: girls of Facebook market Place.
- 1:01Speaker 5: I think Facebook Marketplace is like my if I ever,
- 1:04Speaker 5: I don't even know if I am assuming they don't
- 1:05Speaker 5: do sponsorship, but like.
- 1:07Speaker 3: They don't need to. They really don't need to.
- 1:09Speaker 6: But that's Jessica on what would they sponsor. Oh, we're
- 1:13Speaker 6: going to send you John's old, bloody.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Old and bloody.
- 1:22Speaker 7: That it's true because Facebook Sue would do these nice, beautiful,
- 1:25Speaker 7: slick ads and it's like some old don't couch that
- 1:28Speaker 7: people used for the last ten years.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, Or like Barrie's old leaf blower that he realized
- 1:34Speaker 3: he doesn't want any more because he's upgraded to the.
- 1:36Speaker 7: Blower that someone's read one of the winds from coming
- 1:38Speaker 7: up soon already covered with the leaf.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I'm lucky al right before we jump into the muddy winds.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Confessions from the community this week Georgia King, Hey, hey,
- 1:51Speaker 3: I feel like it's been a while. My friend does
- 1:53Speaker 3: feel like a minute. On this week's did dive.
- 1:57Speaker 4: This week we discussed budge for variable incomes, which was
- 2:02Speaker 4: a really interesting chat because we do have so many
- 2:05Speaker 4: different kinds of workers in our community and I think
- 2:08Speaker 4: we've got a lot out of it.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I did. I felt like we did, and the community
- 2:11Speaker 3: feedback was great.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Great.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Obvious we get questions all the time because we have
- 2:16Speaker 7: so many students, and students are like, you know, working
- 2:18Speaker 7: in pubs, in hospital and stuff like that.
- 2:20Speaker 5: It's actually side hustlers as well. Like lots of people
- 2:23Speaker 5: with different things going on.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I feel like this week I've really been talking about
- 2:26Speaker 3: flexible income, not just on the pod, but also in
- 2:29Speaker 3: real life a lot. I've got a lot of clients
- 2:31Speaker 3: who have been talking about it. And also I was
- 2:33Speaker 3: on another podcast recently who literally asked about that topic.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So good timing. I think, g King, did.
- 2:39Speaker 7: You imply that you were just an expert of it
- 2:41Speaker 7: and didn't let them know that you'd been researching it
- 2:43Speaker 7: for our own Oh.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Look, I did sound really good on the podcast drop
- 2:46Speaker 3: some stats. Looked like I was really well prepared, and
- 2:49Speaker 3: I hope that they were impressed. I'm not even going
- 2:51Speaker 3: to tell you what podcast it is now because you'll
- 2:54Speaker 3: just blow it out of the water and you'd be
- 2:55Speaker 3: like phony, I know. Anyway, we also had a really
- 3:00Speaker 3: great Money Dairy episode on Monday, Tony Lodge. What was
- 3:04Speaker 3: it and how did it work?
- 3:06Speaker 6: It was actually amazing. So I'm obviously new to the
- 3:09Speaker 6: Money Diaries.
- 3:10Speaker 7: And not that new.
- 3:10Speaker 3: You've done a couple you can't keep.
- 3:12Speaker 6: Okay, I'm not new anymore, but this one was really
- 3:15Speaker 6: really cool. So it was all about this girl who
- 3:18Speaker 6: is in her workplace the only one without a degree
- 3:21Speaker 6: and yeah, and she talked about how she had a
- 3:24Speaker 6: rough family life, like rough upbringing, and she bought her
- 3:27Speaker 6: own house, first house when she was eighteen or something.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You know, it was really incredible, super inspiring.
- 3:31Speaker 6: So if you're feeling a bit down about your sit show,
- 3:34Speaker 6: have a listen because it was really great.
- 3:36Speaker 7: What a legend.
- 3:37Speaker 3: It was actually really inspiring. And I walked away from
- 3:39Speaker 3: that chat feeling a little bit lighter and just really
- 3:42Speaker 3: grateful that people like that exists in our community and.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They want to share their stories with us. Yeah, it's
- 3:46Speaker 1: really yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I love that. But speaking of luck in the community
- 3:50Speaker 3: that likes to share, Ryan John, it is time for
- 3:53Speaker 3: Ryan John's Top Community Wins this week.
- 3:55Speaker 7: And not only that, because today is Facebook Marketplace Day.
- 3:59Speaker 7: They are all Facebook Marketplace money wins.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Oh you've themed there.
- 4:03Speaker 7: I've seen them. And can I just say, when we
- 4:06Speaker 7: get to Casey Rook, I spat when I read hers.
- 4:10Speaker 7: I actually did I spat in a good way? Yes,
- 4:14Speaker 7: I hope. So, like, you know, people like it's sort
- 4:17Speaker 7: of common now to be like, oh my god, screaming,
- 4:19Speaker 7: Like I actually spat and screamed at the desk when
- 4:22Speaker 7: I read hers.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Well, speaking of spitting before we actually get into the
- 4:27Speaker 3: into what I think we're gonna spit when we get
- 4:31Speaker 3: to Casey's money win this week.
- 4:36Speaker 7: This week were spit.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Also, that wasn't a dream segue. I don't know what
- 4:42Speaker 3: it is. Watch out, Jason PJ. I'm next up on
- 4:45Speaker 3: the air, Brecky Radio. Here I come.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 5: This week we have the the Aussie classic as it
- 4:52Speaker 5: does say on the can, the ud L in the
- 4:55Speaker 5: passion Fruit variety. We wanted the limited edition watermelon, but
- 4:59Speaker 5: they weren't, so we've settled for passion Fruit. It pays
- 5:04Speaker 5: for like teenageers and bad decisions.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm upset we didn't get watermelon, but I have
- 5:09Speaker 3: a very high inkling that the reason we couldn't get
- 5:11Speaker 3: watermelon was because Will wasn't working today.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Such a shame. Maybe we'll go back to pick them up.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll swing around later. All right, back
- 5:19Speaker 3: to our money wins, Ryan, what have you got for
- 5:22Speaker 3: us this week?
- 5:22Speaker 7: Get ready to spit, y'all.
- 5:25Speaker 3: That's terrific.
- 5:27Speaker 7: I hate it. There's a line I never thought i'd
- 5:30Speaker 7: never want to say. Again, Blair says, and again, all
- 5:33Speaker 7: Facebook marketplace wins this week, Blair says, I bought a
- 5:36Speaker 7: steam mop for twenty dollars money wins wait for it
- 5:40Speaker 7: some one. Then I steam mopped my floor and sold
- 5:42Speaker 7: it for twenty dollars. Cleaned my floors for free.
- 5:46Speaker 3: What happens when you need to clean them next time? Well?
- 5:49Speaker 7: I think a steam what a big steam up? Would
- 5:51Speaker 7: that be your big once a year? Would you wouldn't
- 5:53Speaker 7: steam your floor every week? Would you?
- 5:55Speaker 5: Do you mind?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Like once a month?
- 5:56Speaker 6: Really?
- 5:57Speaker 2: Sometimes twice?
- 5:58Speaker 3: I feel like if we went into jessic house, honestly,
- 6:01Speaker 3: it would like to be going into a museum.
- 6:03Speaker 7: I'm just gonna have a guest and say I wouldn't
- 6:05Speaker 7: be wearing my shoes in her place.
- 6:07Speaker 3: No, I think she'd hit you at the front tour.
- 6:10Speaker 2: You know what, you can wear them in, but don't.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Walk on the carpet with them, are you? Then I
- 6:17Speaker 5: want my bond bat.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Look, and when I buy a house, we all floorboards
- 6:21Speaker 2: if I won't.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Have that issue.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Madison says. My win was buying all the things I
- 6:30Speaker 7: needed for a wedding and then selling them from the
- 6:33Speaker 7: for the exact same amount. So the wedding looked incredible
- 6:36Speaker 7: and we spent next to nothing.
- 6:38Speaker 3: That's so smart.
- 6:39Speaker 7: What I like about that is, and I mean it's obvious,
- 6:41Speaker 7: but you only need it once, and how many things
- 6:44Speaker 7: you'd buy to only use ones and then they sit
- 6:45Speaker 7: in the shed or you'd never use them again.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Arguably, that's even better than just hiring this stuff because
- 6:51Speaker 3: you didn't end up even paying a higher fee.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Well, she said, the exact same amount. Yeah, perfect genius,
- 6:57Speaker 7: all right. Mia said she moved into a house a
- 7:00Speaker 7: couple of years ago and went from an apartment that
- 7:03Speaker 7: had no balcony to something with a huge backyard. So
- 7:06Speaker 7: she went onto a Facebook marketplace and picked up an
- 7:09Speaker 7: outdoor table and chairs for two hundred and fifty dollars
- 7:12Speaker 7: so they can sit out there and have a barbecue
- 7:13Speaker 7: and stuff. When she went to pick it up, they said, oh,
- 7:15Speaker 7: because you know how sometimes you give the warranty documents
- 7:17Speaker 7: and stuff like the bid documentation or a receipt the
- 7:20Speaker 7: original receipt. That turns out the table and chairs were
- 7:22Speaker 7: from domain and the original cost was four thousand, hundred dollars.
- 7:28Speaker 3: So good, that tops all of our Facebook money. Yes,
- 7:32Speaker 3: we can just end the pod here.
- 7:35Speaker 7: That is pretty epic. Melanie also has something similar. She
- 7:37Speaker 7: got a dining table and chairs. It was only twenty
- 7:40Speaker 7: dollars and it was an outdoor one, and she said, oh,
- 7:41Speaker 7: look it'd been out in the sun. You know, you
- 7:43Speaker 7: kind of weathered a little bit. She spent forty five
- 7:45Speaker 7: dollars resandering, restanding, and relacquering and it ended up in
- 7:51Speaker 7: great condition for a total cost of sixty five dollars
- 7:54Speaker 7: and a few hours worse. Yeah, well done. How much?
- 7:59Speaker 7: How much of those v dice and vacuum.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Things really expensive?
- 8:03Speaker 4: Very expensive.
- 8:04Speaker 7: So someone said in the group, there sometimes can be
- 8:07Speaker 7: fourteen hundred dollars. Does that sound right, Las, Yeah, that's
- 8:10Speaker 7: so expensive? All right? Well, Ashley says, I live in
- 8:14Speaker 7: an apartment with my guide dog, and my guide dog
- 8:16Speaker 7: drops a lot of hair around the house, and I
- 8:18Speaker 7: wanted to get one of these. It turns out that
- 8:21Speaker 7: sometimes the battery dies, and so someone said, oh, the
- 8:24Speaker 7: vacuum's not working. I'm just going to get rid of it.
- 8:26Speaker 7: So she bought it for one hundred dollars, spend another
- 8:28Speaker 7: one hundred on a new battery for it. So if
- 8:31Speaker 7: for two hundred dollars got herself one of those fourteen
- 8:35Speaker 7: so good. Let's go to Katie. Is it Fisher and
- 8:40Speaker 7: pikel or paykel?
- 8:42Speaker 5: Hell?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Is that?
- 8:43Speaker 6: It?
- 8:43Speaker 2: Is that something you genuinely.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Just think about thinking? I think it's pike.
- 8:47Speaker 6: I think I've heard people say pie kel or paykel,
- 8:50Speaker 6: but it's Fisher and Michael.
- 8:52Speaker 7: I also think it's Fisher and pikeel. Can you all
- 8:54Speaker 7: remind my wife when we see her next that that's
- 8:56Speaker 7: what it's called?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Does she also shop at taje by chance?
- 8:59Speaker 7: She wish she's not doing that? Well? The bacon picked
- 9:07Speaker 7: up a washing machine, a Fisher and pikel for fifty dollars.
- 9:10Speaker 7: He said, again, what did I say?
- 9:16Speaker 1: You said? You just said peykel.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Did you mean to say that?
- 9:19Speaker 6: No?
- 9:19Speaker 7: I meant to say pipe. But I think again, because
- 9:22Speaker 7: someone I live with likes to say take ow and
- 9:24Speaker 7: get on their high horse about it.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I let her off. I let her off. Maybe let's
- 9:28Speaker 3: go on to Becks.
- 9:31Speaker 7: A Mark's one hundred percent woolen jumper that's like top quality, right, Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 7: three hundred dollars in the shops, eighty dollars on Facebook
- 9:40Speaker 7: market Place, brand new, and it still had the pocket
- 9:42Speaker 7: stitched together like it was properly all right. And finally, Casey.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Rook taking I do not want to clean this studio.
- 9:55Speaker 3: If he's done these thing guys where he's worked up
- 9:58Speaker 3: something that is going to would never do like the
- 10:00Speaker 3: part again. Exactly, yeah, exactly, I'll tell you.
- 10:05Speaker 7: It was Andrea Pard Casey Rook. I sold my bed
- 10:16Speaker 7: frame on marketplace.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:18Speaker 7: He asked me about the measurements and the price, and
- 10:21Speaker 7: I meant to say, just give me a sex, and
- 10:25Speaker 7: instead I wrote, just give me sex. He was at
- 10:28Speaker 7: my house. He was at my house half an hour later,
- 10:31Speaker 7: and I am still mortified to this day. So can
- 10:39Speaker 7: I just confirm the price? And is that a queen?
- 10:41Speaker 7: Just give me sex?
- 10:47Speaker 3: I would have been like, oh sorry, I don't know, Casey,
- 10:49Speaker 3: she doesn't go here and got like a fake mista.
- 10:54Speaker 7: And can I just add that usually when we say
- 10:56Speaker 7: what do your money? W into the week, hundreds and
- 10:57Speaker 7: hundreds of comments the amount of great stories on the
- 11:00Speaker 7: Facebook marketplace thread to read squiz. Yeah, I actually wrote
- 11:06Speaker 7: like I could literally do hours and hours of different
- 11:08Speaker 7: ones because there's so many great stories.
- 11:10Speaker 3: So going to and everyone's so generous with their stories
- 11:13Speaker 3: as well. They're like, yeah, yeah, but get this guys,
- 11:15Speaker 3: it's just so good. Okay, now we are back. It
- 11:27Speaker 3: is time to hear from the She's on the Money
- 11:29Speaker 3: team what their Facebook Marketplace money wins or confessions are
- 11:32Speaker 3: this week. And I think I'm going to start with you,
- 11:35Speaker 3: Jessica Ricci. You kind of inspired this entire segment. I
- 11:38Speaker 3: don't believe it's going to be an ongoing segment. It
- 11:40Speaker 3: probably I can do popularity. Yeah, it's true that you
- 11:45Speaker 3: believe that you can manifest anything on Facebook Marketplace. As
- 11:49Speaker 3: someone who literally told me today she's not spiritual. I
- 11:53Speaker 3: don't know.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I'm spiritual for Facebook marketing.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like this is a little bit hypocritical,
- 11:58Speaker 3: But can you explain the challenge our team had this week?
- 12:01Speaker 5: So this week we thought, in the spirit of kind
- 12:04Speaker 5: of this upcycling thing that we see a lot in
- 12:07Speaker 5: the community, people making banks selling things that they're not using,
- 12:11Speaker 5: we all wanted to try and sell something from our house.
- 12:13Speaker 5: See who could make the most money, see who won. Basically,
- 12:16Speaker 5: we're a little competiti We don't know what.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Each other's no, we have no idea that it was.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Literally just tell each other what it was during the week,
- 12:23Speaker 3: which is really hard because I took a lot, like
- 12:25Speaker 3: mouthful of marbles underwater, so hah.
- 12:28Speaker 7: Hah, I'm really embarrassed about mine, but good we.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Want to go all right, Well, I'll start. So I
- 12:34Speaker 5: last year, I think I mentioned this before I lost
- 12:36Speaker 5: my job. Ended up working in a warehouse for a
- 12:38Speaker 5: very reputable, well known cosmetics company. And one of the
- 12:43Speaker 5: perks of this job was that we were very kindly
- 12:45Speaker 5: gifted a lot of product, which was amazing, and.
- 12:48Speaker 3: So I probably need that job.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Look, it was definitely a really hard job, but it
- 12:52Speaker 5: was very generous of them. But I ended up with
- 12:54Speaker 5: a lot of stuff that I just don't need, and
- 12:57Speaker 5: so it's kind of been sitting and I've been letting
- 12:59Speaker 5: friends pick through it. But I thought i'd chuck a
- 13:01Speaker 5: few things up on Marketplace half the price brand you
- 13:04Speaker 5: never been used, sealed, et cetera. And I made two
- 13:06Speaker 5: hundred bucks, yeah, which was huge off a couple of things.
- 13:11Speaker 5: And so now I'm like, oh, maybe I should put
- 13:12Speaker 5: the more on my deepop in case anyone wants them.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You absolutely should, and then we can share it in
- 13:16Speaker 3: cheese on the money and people can perve through Jessic's makeup.
- 13:20Speaker 5: We've spoken about potentially doing like a team Deepop because.
- 13:22Speaker 7: You have stuff I know of us as before can
- 13:24Speaker 7: you do a quick reminder of what deep So Deepop
- 13:27Speaker 7: is very.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Comparable to Facebook Marketplace. It's the difference is is that
- 13:31Speaker 5: with Deepop you can set like postage fees and stuff,
- 13:33Speaker 5: so it's all they do. Take a percentage though, So
- 13:36Speaker 5: it's kind of like you know Marketplace, you go back
- 13:38Speaker 5: and forth.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Is it a lot of fashion and beauty or is
- 13:39Speaker 7: it still everything? Because I feel mostly.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Fashion beauty stuff, whereas you know Marketplace you can get anything,
- 13:45Speaker 5: which I think is why I like it so much.
- 13:47Speaker 5: So that was super successful over there, which is great.
- 13:49Speaker 5: But maybe if we've all got some stuff to get
- 13:51Speaker 5: rid of it, we'll do a deepop.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Na Bucks wasn't mad about it. No, I wouldn't be.
- 13:57Speaker 3: And the girls were so excited.
- 13:58Speaker 5: One of them it was a limited edition blush from
- 14:01Speaker 5: nas and she was like, oh my gosh, this is
- 14:02Speaker 5: my favorite blush.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I can't get it anymore.
- 14:04Speaker 3: And I just finished it.
- 14:05Speaker 5: She was so excited. It was really like, it just
- 14:08Speaker 5: felts nice, but it's yours And it was like a
- 14:11Speaker 5: third of the retail price because I just wanted it gone.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Get money for it.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody's happy. Do you notice how we didn't get
- 14:18Speaker 3: to wade through her make I was.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I'll bring it in so you.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Guys want to get interested, It's fine when you travel
- 14:26Speaker 5: out to the west side to dig through my not
- 14:28Speaker 5: worth it.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Jeeking.
- 14:31Speaker 7: How do you go?
- 14:31Speaker 3: Hello?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Okay? So not well, No, jim straight off the back
- 14:37Speaker 4: of the height of Jessica Riccie. I'm gonna plumb on
- 14:39Speaker 4: us way back down. So I've been trying to sell
- 14:44Speaker 4: my year twelve formal dress.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah that's fair.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Yeah, look and we lightly were you in year twelve
- 14:51Speaker 5: PI twelve, But the dress is like chic and it's
- 14:55Speaker 5: been worn once showing a joy.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Guys gets always being a assic is a.
- 15:01Speaker 7: Photo of it.
- 15:02Speaker 4: No, it was very titty at the time. I don't
- 15:04Speaker 4: know how much.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It's very bright.
- 15:06Speaker 4: It's beautiful, like it doesn't look much chopped like I
- 15:09Speaker 4: get one on's bought it. But if anyone wants to
- 15:12Speaker 4: stalk me, go go through the archives back to twenty
- 15:15Speaker 4: twelve and you'll see young g King repping this. Do
- 15:18Speaker 4: you girls want to have a.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Little life to say?
- 15:21Speaker 4: It is brush, it's a mermaid energy deal.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That's me holding it against the door.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Contents.
- 15:34Speaker 7: Not that I don't like it. I think I'm just
- 15:36Speaker 7: surprised that that was something you would pick because I
- 15:39Speaker 7: feel like you have a lot of mutual earthy tones.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Yes, right, you are correct. I guess I've changed in
- 15:45Speaker 4: the ten years since I was in high school.
- 15:47Speaker 7: And how would you describe the colors of that?
- 15:49Speaker 4: It's like mermaid? Are you asking me? Like green and
- 15:53Speaker 4: blue and lean. I promise it is nice in real life.
- 15:56Speaker 3: And I'm sure it looks beautiful, but I'm always suspici's
- 16:00Speaker 3: when people don't try the dress on to sell it,
- 16:02Speaker 3: like I'm trying to work out what it might look
- 16:04Speaker 3: like on you.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I just I did try it on you and year.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Twelve, just crop it, cropit, proutend it was yesterday. Maybe
- 16:11Speaker 3: I should Yeah, absolutely, if you.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Like stuff sales better when it's on somebody.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I definitely needs to be styled. I think
- 16:17Speaker 3: that's a thing.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Thanks for the advice, guys.
- 16:20Speaker 7: I'll let you know how.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Sorry you haven't had a money We've got. Hopefully in
- 16:23Speaker 3: the next few we try, we can report.
- 16:24Speaker 7: We'll pop back.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 16:26Speaker 7: We put that in the group just so everyone knows
- 16:27Speaker 7: what we're talking about.
- 16:28Speaker 4: And yeah, sixty.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Trying to get's dress sold? How much are you asking
- 16:35Speaker 3: for this sublime piece of artwork.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Look, it was ninety five, but I've struck it down
- 16:40Speaker 4: to eighty five. We'll go lower.
- 16:43Speaker 3: But money plus shipping plus shipping, well, well.
- 16:48Speaker 6: That's deep, that's crippling people. I reckon, they're going, God,
- 16:52Speaker 6: I really want this dress for nine.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Everybody wanted to buy the dress. Then they heard it
- 16:56Speaker 3: was plus shipping. There like backing out of this deal,
- 17:00Speaker 3: deal tony.
- 17:03Speaker 6: So I convinced myself that I'd be able to make
- 17:05Speaker 6: a lot of money on something. So my boyfriend Toorbs
- 17:08Speaker 6: and I we've got like quite a good, very dorky now,
- 17:12Speaker 6: quite a good collection of like Blu rays and stuff.
- 17:16Speaker 6: And they're expensive, Like back in the day, buying a
- 17:19Speaker 6: Blu Ray would be like like forty fifty dollars. Yeah,
- 17:24Speaker 6: like forty dollars depending on what it was, how new
- 17:27Speaker 6: it was whatever.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Anyway, I put up in.
- 17:31Speaker 3: A disappointment on right now. I cannot wait for this story.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Because I just convinced myself that it was going to
- 17:37Speaker 6: be a great deal.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's going to be such a good win. I was
- 17:39Speaker 1: going to come in, I was going to impress you guys.
- 17:41Speaker 1: You were going to like lift me up on my
- 17:43Speaker 1: chair and like it was going to be amazing.
- 17:46Speaker 6: So I put up this batch of DVDs up for
- 17:48Speaker 6: like a hundred bucks fifteen dollars, no for the whole,
- 17:55Speaker 6: like for the whole of it.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Yeah, and you sold it for fifteen So someone goes fifteen.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I have no bites.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Guys.
- 18:04Speaker 1: It was like g king with their wedding dress, wouldn't
- 18:09Speaker 1: Laura formal?
- 18:13Speaker 3: If I really like it, Georgia, that's good. You would
- 18:16Speaker 3: have looked beautiful in it, so beautiful that I want
- 18:18Speaker 3: to share with the Facebook community of your normal photo.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Finds a nice photo from the formal and prove you
- 18:25Speaker 4: all role.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Can you please send it to me.
- 18:27Speaker 3: I will put it up everywhere.
- 18:29Speaker 7: I guarantee that'll sale. If that dress doesn't sell, I'll
- 18:31Speaker 7: wear it on the show next week.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Oh you're gonna buy it first, mate? You don't just
- 18:35Speaker 3: get it for probably.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Eighty five dollars plus.
- 18:38Speaker 7: Well, you can bring it in yourself.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I'll take it, deliver it is actually more all right,
- 18:44Speaker 3: So I'm very impressed with my money when although just
- 18:47Speaker 3: keeping track around the table, we've got Georgia who's made nothing. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 3: we've got Tony who's made fifteen dollars and Jess, who's
- 18:56Speaker 3: right ahead at two hundred dollars, make a bank kind
- 18:59Speaker 3: of rude because I broke even so during COVID, I
- 19:03Speaker 3: bought a standing desk because my back is kind of
- 19:05Speaker 3: a bit not great, and so I thought it'd also
- 19:08Speaker 3: make me a little bit more motivated at home. Didn't
- 19:11Speaker 3: work that way, it turns out I thought it might.
- 19:15Speaker 3: So it retailed for five hundred and fifty dollars, and
- 19:17Speaker 3: I already had one in the office, so I was
- 19:19Speaker 3: kind of like, I'm not going to go buy a
- 19:20Speaker 3: brand new one. And I also didn't want to carry
- 19:23Speaker 3: my office one home because they're really heavy, and I
- 19:26Speaker 3: didn't want to go back and forth because who knows
- 19:28Speaker 3: when you were going to come back. So I bought
- 19:29Speaker 3: it online for three hundred dollars. It was a little
- 19:32Speaker 3: white one, very happy with it, and then I sold
- 19:34Speaker 3: it on Facebook Marketplace for three hundred dollars. So I
- 19:38Speaker 3: think that's pretty good. Just like that money when you
- 19:40Speaker 3: had before, exactly, it's like it never happened.
- 19:43Speaker 7: Yeah, i's got to break. You've spent You've already spent
- 19:45Speaker 7: that three hundred dollars that's gone.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but now it's back and now definitely win money win.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I think. So I made no money technically, but technically
- 19:53Speaker 3: I'm up three hundred, but I think it's not.
- 19:55Speaker 7: It's not.
- 19:55Speaker 1: That's a good effort.
- 19:56Speaker 7: That's good.
- 19:57Speaker 3: So we're at zero. So still Jess is winning, but
- 20:00Speaker 3: hopefully Ryan's going to pull through with the goods. Wow,
- 20:03Speaker 3: it's not Jess of her Facebook marketplace queen status.
- 20:07Speaker 7: Well, first of all, I would love queen status in
- 20:08Speaker 7: this room. I'd just like to point that out. I
- 20:11Speaker 7: was on a similar thing to you in that I
- 20:13Speaker 7: bought a desk, just a regular desk for the studio
- 20:16Speaker 7: apartment thing I was living in, and I thought, if
- 20:18Speaker 7: I could just at least get the money back, then
- 20:19Speaker 7: I feel like I've had a free desk for six months.
- 20:21Speaker 7: You know, you get the money back. So I thought,
- 20:24Speaker 7: I bought the forty nine dollar desk from Kmart, and
- 20:28Speaker 7: then I sold it for fifty bucks and I was like, yes,
- 20:31Speaker 7: well done to me.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Yeah good.
- 20:33Speaker 7: It turns out I actually bought the two hundred and
- 20:35Speaker 7: seventy dollars one from my heir and drastically undersold, oh no,
- 20:40Speaker 7: because if someone bought it straight away, and I was like, Hey,
- 20:42Speaker 7: good's this money win? Yeah, money in for them because
- 20:45Speaker 7: it turns out I sold a two hundred and fifty
- 20:47Speaker 7: dollars desk for fifty bucks, no brand new. So I
- 20:50Speaker 7: think what we're trying to say is congratulations to Jessica.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Look, I would have been disappointed if I didn't win.
- 20:57Speaker 7: To be honest, I'd be more disappointed with that golfers
- 20:58Speaker 7: clap because everyone's so unhappy.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Do you know what one person in the corner like,
- 21:06Speaker 2: It is so true?
- 21:07Speaker 3: But do you know what? I know you were plotting
- 21:09Speaker 3: from the beginning. You started thinking about that, and we're like, yeah, okay,
- 21:14Speaker 3: I'm going to win this, and you knew what was
- 21:16Speaker 3: going to work. Of course, limited edition Nars, bronzes and
- 21:19Speaker 3: blushes were going to work. Jessica give the people what
- 21:21Speaker 3: they want, she knew, And I tried to sell an
- 21:24Speaker 3: item that had previously been sold on Facebook marketplace. Lucky
- 21:28Speaker 3: they couldn't see the buyer history like one owner. Like
- 21:32Speaker 3: in a car, dogs, yeah, I know I have a dog.
- 21:38Speaker 3: In two cats, they definitely have touched it. Anyway, I
- 21:42Speaker 3: think it's clear from the very beginning of this episode
- 21:45Speaker 3: that Jessica was going to win, so I'm not even
- 21:46Speaker 3: sure why we all decided to participate, but it was fine.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I'm still proud of you. Thanks well done.
- 21:51Speaker 7: I'm proud of the person they got a box full
- 21:53Speaker 7: of Blu rays for fifteen.
- 21:56Speaker 6: They've really taken on the Jessica Ricci school of manifesting.
- 22:00Speaker 1: That were like, I really want breaking that off DV.
- 22:04Speaker 3: That was worth more than fifteen dollars. That is a
- 22:09Speaker 3: money loss. I think we're done here. We need to
- 22:11Speaker 3: go drown our sorrows in another drink. So before we go,
- 22:15Speaker 3: we'd like to acknowledge and pay respect to Australia's Aboriginal

- 23:06Speaker 6: Yeah, we have to write that.
- 23:11Speaker 3: It would have been so hard. But thank you to

- 23:24Speaker 7: We don't know.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Excuse me, I mean a helper, a hindrance. It's one
- 23:28Speaker 1: of those.
- 23:30Speaker 3: All right, let's go to paircake parlor guys.
- 23:32Speaker 6: Yes,
